Even though we don't have control of what will happen, we do have control of how we feel and how we let this situation make us feel. Welcome back to the Rise and Conquer Podcast. I'm your host, Georgie Stevenson, former lawyer turned entrepreneur, social media personality and personal development junkie. This podcast is for my girl gang who want to feed their mind with positive and expansive thoughts to help them step into their power and live their most authentic life.

We chat a variety of topics including mindset, business, relationships, health, and so much more. Basically, wherever you are on your journey, I want to help you feel inspired and empowered to rise up and conquer your next bold move. I know that's going to look different for everyone, but just no, I'm right here by your side and that you have the RNC community behind you. Let's do this. Hello and

welcome back to the Rise and Concer Podcast. It is your host, Georgie Stevenson and it has been a while.

It's been a good couple of weeks. I did have a little break with a podcast just because we launched the last live round for the Rising Concer podcast, which is our six week self Development and Manifesting course last month and it was look, I'm not gonna lie, it was a bit of a sprint marathon there, and I just needed a couple of weeks to make sure I was focusing on that and giving my girls all they needed, you know, to really get the most out of that course.

And we are currently on Module seven, is actually about to launch, which is our new module, and then the course will be finished. But the girls have lifetime access, so you know they'll be doing it in their own time. But appreciate, you know, your patients with the break, just some updates, some life updates on my behalf. So as I'm recording this, i am twenty six weeks pregnant and I'm feeling really good. The first half of my pregnancy

so up till week twenty, was not feeling good. I've spoke about this over you know, a couple of different podcasts, but I was so unwell and I felt hungover all the time and everything was pretty much a struggle. And then I got to week twenty, maybe just before, and it's like I'm a new woman, and I don't know, it feels like smooth sailing, which is so amazing and quite nice to enjoy the pregnancy. So look, I'm not gonna lie. I'm enjoying that I've been taking it easy.

I am kind of, I guess, planning for my maternity leave and just really planning for things of how they're going to look. Because me and Tim were trying for quite a lot of time before we actually fell pregnant. I guess like I have had a lot of time to think about this, and because this is just something that I've wanted for so long, when baby girl does join us, I really want to make sure I'm present

and I'm there. And I also, I guess like advice that I've been given from other moms, like my girlfriend Maddie from the Healthy Hustler podcast, right before she gave birth to Georgia, her daughter, she did say that we actually had just finished those podcast events, so I'm pretty sure we finished those podcast events, and then she gave birth four weeks later, and she just said it was a lock from going like from a huge high like business and career wise, then then to having a baby

and being a mom full time, and she almost just kind of felt like she didn't maybe give herself that transition time, you know, to ease into it, and we have very similar personalities, and so I guess I just want to be super intentional about transitioning into this new mum life where you know, my whole world is going to change and slow down, which is I'm honestly so excited for it, but I just I want to, I guess, have things in place so I can do it properly

so it feels right for me. So that's kind of the season I'm in right now, is I'm, yeah, planning for my maternity leave. But then you know what comes into that is my whole things can't stop. I've still you know, I don't have to, but Naked Harvest still has to run. I would personally love to keep you know, podcast episodes going, and I think if I do plan things well, I can make that happen. So bit of a random update there, but that's just kind of what's

happening in my head right now. But I guess moving forward. The whole reason why I just explained that is we will be going to one episode a week, So I know in the pre season we were doing two episodes, one on Tuesday and then on Friday, and it would be an interview episode. And then a solo episode in one week. And if I'm going to you know, batch content and kind of get ahead and have content for you guys when I'm on maternity leave, that just look, it's just not going to be possible and I've got

to you know, be realistic. So moving forward, guys, we will have one episode growing live weekly. It will be on the Tuesday, so you know it will be their six am in your podcast feeds wherever you listen to your podcasts. And yeah, like I said, that would just give me a bit of space to batch content make sure the podcast can keep going. You know, I also have a full time podcast manager, so I want to make sure, you know, she continues to work and still has a job even while I'm on matt leave. And

you know that's the beauty of having a team. So yeah, just some inner thoughts in my head. That's this season I'm in. But I wanted to start off the podcast, you know, reintroducing it, getting back in your feed with a solo episode. I know you guys love them. And today I wanted to chat about I guess something that has been on my heart and I feel like a lot of people may be able to resonate with this.

It feels like the world, social media, the internet is a bit of a heavy place right now, and there's just there's a lot going on. I know, I'm personally in Queensland and we're not on lockdown, but I know so many of the other states are on extended lockdowns, and there's a lot happening internationally, and also just on

social media itself. I am feeling a lot of I guess, negativity and fear and hate, not necessarily towards me or anything like that, but just I know there's a lot of controversial with you know, getting the vaccine, and there's

just there's a lot happening. And I'm personally an EmPATH and everything just feels heavy right now, and it feels overwhelming, and it feels a lot, and I often find myself feeling super emotional and super heavy and super I guess, like not sad, but not happy, almost a numb feeling. And I'm kind of like, logically, I have no reason to feel like that, but I just feel like that, and I think it's just because there's a lot happening right now. And yeah, so I want to talk to

you about what's been going through my head. How I've been dealing with that, and I guess you know some tools that if you guys are feeling the same, it would also help you. But before we get into it, let's just take some breaths. I really want you to listen to this podcast, and I want you to leave a feeling lighter, more optimistic, and just I guess a bit more grounded. And so let's just take some breaths.

I know I definitely need it, Okay, So just and when you take these breaths, just breathe in from your belly, big belly breaths, and just just come back to feeling a bit centered, feeling a bit grounded. Yeah, like I said, it's just it feels like there's a lot of heavy energy and even you know, I think there's so many

contributing factors. There's so many people who you know, haven't had holidays for years now because of COVID, who have been in lockdown for a long long period of time, you know, who are suffering financially with their mental health. Just there's just a lot happening. And yeah, like I said,

I've just been feeling heavy and just feeling weird. I was kind of explaining it to Tim, and I'm like, yeah, logically, nothing's wrong, and I'm so grateful and so privileged in so many ways, but I just cannot shake this feeling of feeling a bit off, a bit weird, and I feel like so many others are feeling that too. And something that really resonated with me the other day is I'm actually reading this book called Good Vibes, Good Life

by Vex King. If you guys saw my baby moon, which guys, we were, Oh my god, we were so lucky. We me and Tim had our baby moon at Hayman and Hamilton Island in the Sundays, which is a very special place to us because that's actually where we conceived our first baby that ended in a miscarriage, and so we wanted to have our baby moon here for this

little girl. And we literally left, We left, you know, Brisbane Gold Coast where we lived, went up to Hamilton Island two days before us snap lockdown, and so obviously we had no idea about the lockdown. It was a snap lockdown, and we were in the timeframe where we

could still you know, travel and whatnot. Obviously we were not gonna come home because we would have lost all our accommodation and flights and whatnot, and we were following all COVID you know rules up there, and it was just it was so beautiful and it was just exactly you know what we needed. Obviously, super weird timing because then where we lived, you know, went on lockdown, and I could just imagine so many people having to you know, cancel special events and not you know, go to things

that were really special to them. So it was, you know like I felt kind of guilty the whole time, but it was lovely. And so I started reading this book on our baby moon. You may have seen it on my socials, and I have loved it. It's very like if you just love, you know, so positive. It's a very lighthearted, positive read about manifesting, and yeah, I

really enjoyed it. So I'm right towards the end of the book and there's a chapter called faith verse Fear, and this is something that I've been thinking about a lot, and I want to just start with a quote. So this is from the book, and it just says, no matter how much you worry your problem isn't going to improve. Be wiser with your attention and energy, you can only step up in a world once you put your anxieties, fears,

and worries under your feet. And I guess I loved this because, like I said, I feel like there just is so much fear happening right now. Every time I open, you know, my social media, I see, you know, the amount of COVID cases go up, or something's happening, and obviously we need to know what's happening in the world.

Like I'm very realistic in regards to I still follow you know, news pages and whatnot, but it just it feels like a lot this has been happening for such a long time, and I feel like fear it has

kind of become our dominant muscle. So if you think about it, it takes just as much energy, like if you're in a situation where something you know is going wrong or it's not necessarily positive, but it does take basically the same energy to think negatively to fall into that kind of fear trap then it does to think positively to be optimistic. But I feel like fear and falling into that, you know, fear side is just so dominant right now, and I even find myself doing it.

And that's what I mean like with me having these weird feelings just because of everything happening, I'm noticing I'm in this like weird, negative, fearful mindset. And it's kind of like you know, and this is even just with current world events, but even fear to get out of your comfort zone, fear to do something new to you know, whatever it is of leave a bad relationship or leave a job, or go out and do something. I feel

like fear can almost be the dominating side. And in saying that, I totally know it can be demanding to show faith because if you think about it, like I said, even though it takes the same energy, I feel like we're almost programmed to resort to the fear side. And that's very much. That's a human thing and that you know, we need that it helps us stay safe from physical harm.

Like you know, we need fear because then it tells us not to run off the cliff or not to do something dangerous, and in those situations it's so necessary. But I think I even have like felt myself, I'm continuing to choosing the fear and then the fear muscle gets stronger. Okay, r n C fam, We're taking a quick break and I want to ask you, guys, are you getting your daily recommended intake of three fruits and

five veggies? No? Sometimes maybe I feel you on this. Wow. So, in a perfect world, we are getting all our vitamin minerals and needs from our food directly. But because we live such hectic lives and our soil is often lacking from so much farming done, that doesn't always happen. And that's why supplements are so popular, and that's why Naked Harvest was born just to be very transparent with you. So what we really wanted to do was make sure you're getting what you need in a convenient way when

you're not getting your daily recommended intake of veggies. In so introducing our newest product, Gorgeous Greens, which is a greens powder that actually tastes delicious. So we have been formulating this for quite a while because honestly, it was so hard to have a greens powder that has all the good stuff and that tastes delicious, like I honestly get why so many other greens powders just taste so foul. And honestly, any other greens powder I bought, I've just

never finished and just throw it away. So there are two flavors that is very Vanilla and Mango Magic. I recommend getting very Vanilla if you just want to add it to your smoothies, but if you do want to have it by itself, Mango Magic is so delicious and so flavorsome. Also, guys, the greens Plowder is gluten free,

dairy free, vegan, refined, sugar free, and family friendly. So one scoop equals one stefs of veggies, so you're really getting veggies in at breakfast time if you're a smoothie lover like me, and it just makes it easier to get all the veggies in and to really making sure you're getting the vitamins and minerals you need daily. So I absolutely know that if you try this product, you will love it. That's how confident I am with this Greenspowder because ah, we have just with aiste, we aste

the flavor. So, guys, if you need to get some veggies in your day in a more convenient way, try Gorgeous Greens today. So I do have a sneaky code for my Rising Conquer family, which is just Rise and Conquer podcasts. You can just put that at checkout at Naked Harvest Supplements dot com and the Gorgeous Greens is under the wellness tab. Okay, enough about gorgeous greens. Let's get back into the show. So I guess guys today I just wanted to give you a bit of a

refreshing episode and say, can we choose faithover fear? So how you're feeling, whatever you're going through, can you choose faith over fear? And like I said, I know it can be demanding, like it's so easy to revert to well, of course something's going to go wrong, or of course we'd go into lockdown. Of course, corse this would happen, And it can take a lot more energy to be like, no, it's going to be fine. It's going to be better than fine. You know, good things are actually going to happen.

I totally realized that doesn't sound sorry, that isn't like our natural thing to do. But can we start leaning into that? Because if you think about it, what you know, what you think, and what you feel, it expands it. You know, the whole our thoughts are creating our reality. So if we're constantly feeding into the fearful thought, can you not see how that would then expand and become your reality. So I'm saying, let's switch it over. Let's

actually feed into the faith muscle. Let's actually you know the whole see the glass half full, not half empty. And when things happen actually go you know, this is so fine. Life is happening for me, not to me.

I am going to choose faith. And a great example of this is I think I've told this story in the podcast before, but when COVID first hit, you know, at the start of last year in twenty twenty, when it was all going down and there was talks of lockdown and things happening, I was so fear based, like you know, the news, everything that was happening. Naked Harvest was just a baby company we had, you know, just

got this warehouse, we got this team. And I was so fearful, being you know, a small business owner and being like, holy hell, what does this mean? And I remember my two best friends had been to the beach and then they came over to my house after because I live close to the beach, just on their way home, and I broke down crying, and I was just like, I'm just so scared. I don't know what's going to happen,

like what does this mean for naked harvest? And it was interesting because my best friend who was actually just starting her crystal business. So shout out to my best friend Licinda. She she has a crystal business called Core Crystal Coat. You've probably heard me seek about it a lot and seeing it on my socials, but she was just about to start Core Crystal Coat. And I remember asking her and being like, you know, are you worried?

Are you stressing? And it's so funny because her perspective, even though we were both in the same situation, if not hers, you know, she wasn't even an established business like she was very much in a similar position, and her perspective was, no, I'm not worried at all. If anything, this just means, you know, people are going to be on their phones more. It means people are not going to be in stores and they're going to be shopping online. And you know she was doing and she has an

e commerce business. And it was just so interesting because my perspective was so fear based that it fed into my anxiety. It fed into these feelings that things weren't going to happen. And like I said, like I was crying. I was like, quite in a state. And then you have her in a similar position, if not like in a lesser position to me, and she was so optimistic and she chose faith. She's like, no, this is actually

going to work out for the better. You know, we might have to stay home, but this and that, and I just always think back to that and just think, in every situation, even though we don't have control of what will happen, we do have control of how we feel and how we let this situation make us feel. So I just wanted to come on here and say, guys, can we choose faith over fear? And also, like faith,

it doesn't necessarily make things easier, but it makes things possible. Like, could you imagine if Liscinda back then had the same mentality as me, and you know, was crippled by anxiety about what was going to happen, maybe she wouldn't have even started her crystal business. You know, maybe she wouldn't even have taken those steps because she was so riddled with fear. And now she, you know, her crystal business is doing so well. She quit her full time job.

She has a little baby girl who's one years old, and you know that's that's her you know side hustle that she uses and it's going so well. And imagine if she had let fear win. And so this is this is you know, the whole point of this episode is if you're struggling with if you're struggling with fear, I want you to question why and really have a think and say, can I actually lean more into my

faith muscle? Can I see things differently? And also when I'm in a weird, funky mood, I almost say this little prayer to myself and I, you know, close my eyes. I get into a meditative state, and I'm kind of like, I choose to see this differently and I just repeat that and then I leave it, and I kind of I wait for a new perspective to come over. I know that sounds we wait, but it works for me. Also, I guess, like, you know, I don't want to sit here and say just be optimistic and don't feel your

feelings like we're we're not about toxic positivity. It's we're allowed to have these feelings and you want to feel them, and you want to you know, let them come up and feel them so you don't suppress them but I think sometimes we also can get in a pattern where we just resort to fear, we don't even give faith the possibility, and that is then what would then attract more fear, And then you know, our whole thoughts create

our reality. It's kind of like this negative loop. So can you is something happening right now where you are maybe you know, leaning into the fear, leaning into that negativity, and can you just stop that thought and just think, can I see this in a different way? Can I

choose a new perspective? And that's like even I went for a walk with a girlfriend this morning, and you know, without getting into it too much because it's also very personal for her, but I said to her, you know, she's kind of in a situation it's a bit of

a waiting game, and something bad might happen. And I said to her, look, until you know you have evidence that that bad thing is happening, that it's happened, don't feed into that, Like you can't let that win because it's it's like that thing might not even happen, but you're even making it like it has happened, if that makes sense. And yeah, and also I think when we constantly think of the what ifs in a fearful, negative

way that just leads to anxiety. I'm definitely someone who gets anxiety, and I know, once I start going, but what if this happens? And then but then this could go wrong. It's like rabbit hole and you just get deeper. And so something I try and do, like I was just saying, is kind of going, well, the evidence right now is you know this, and that I don't have

to worry until you know I have to worry. And yeah, this morning I woke up and I kind of said that little mantra to myself and I said, I choose faith over fear, and I just really wanted to come on here and share it with you guys. And then also just to finish the last bit of the podcast.

Another thing I wanted to chat to you about because I figured out this out the other day and I was like, oh my god, what so guys, we there is only four months to go for the rest of the year until twenty twenty one is over, and it just feels insane to me. I'm just like, where has

this year gone? And we know anytime leaving out to Christmas, oh, that time just goes so fast, and then you know, we're on Christmas holidays, we're you know, doing stuff, so really we've probably only got like two or three months, let's be honest. And so I guess I just I wanted to leave you with some questions to think about, maybe to journal on, because even though there's a short amount of time to go until the end of the year,

it's still you know, it's still four months. There's still time to change, there's still time to you know, go after something you want, to get clear on who you want to be. There's still time to make things happen. And I think something I like doing towards the end of the year is I go back to my goals right at the start of the year, and I'm kind of like reevaluating, and I'm like, where did I see myself at the end of the year? And am you know, am I close to that? Is it? Do you now?

What is happening? And just doing a bit of a self evaluation and so just some questions to think about. So right now, what do you want? Why do you want it? Who do you want to be when you wake up in twenty twenty two? Who is the person you want to be? And then secondly to that, are you close to that person? Is there any changes you want to make? And I just want you to start thinking about that because it's not far away. Honestly, it

will happen in a blink of an eye. But in saying that, you know, if there are some changes you want to make, or you know, if there's a side hushole you wanted to start on, or hobby you wanted to start, like, it's not too late. This year is not right off, even though it has been one of the toughest and hardest and bloody emotional rollercoaster, it is not too late, or even you know it might be.

Can you start adding a bit more joy into you know, every day or every week leading up to the end of the year now things feeling a bit stale, or you know, is it to start on a project? Is it? You know, whatever it may be, just know you still have time. Even though it's a short amount of time, that's still a pretty good chunk of time to start

putting things into place before we finish the year. And I think I personally love kind of like thinking about goals and thinking about who I want to be when I wake up in twenty twenty two and just addressing small things that I can do now to become that person. And yeah, I think a bit of self evaluation every couple of months is amazing. Also, guys, you know, we're in LEO season as I'm recording this episode. It is my birth season, my favorite season, and LEO season is

about being courageous. It's about going after things, it's about being playful. It's a really beautiful energy. And yeah, so it is a really great time to you know, start something new, to change a habit, to you know, look into doing a you know something for your personal development or starting a course. Like it's it's not too late. So I hope you enjoyed this episode. It was a bit random. I kind of went on some rants, but you know that is the solo podcast. Thank you so much.

I really appreciate it. And yeah, we will be back in your ears weekly every Tuesday. I cannot wait. And yeah, if you do have any podcast ideas, just dm the podcast page which is Rising Concer Podcasts wait Risingconquer Dot podcast and let us know.
