You tuned into right Side Radio. All right, guys, you have found it. It is the Right Side Radio program. Recording this episode on Thursday, January the sixteenth, not June. We haven't jumped that far ahead in twenty twenty five. It is January sixteenth. We're a day later getting this episode out. We recorded the latest episode of Chris McDaniels America on Wednesday, so that meant I did not want to have to record two episodes on the same night, so I did not record one Wednesday night to release

Thursday morning. I held off on it. The latest episode of Chris McDaniel's America is up. You can find it on YouTube. You can find it on Center McDaniel's Facebook page, on the Midnight Rides facebook page, on the right Side's Facebook page. There are multiple places can go check it out, YouTube probably being the easiest for you if you want to sit down and enjoy it on your television screen. So I am. I think it's a really good episode.

It was good to have Chris McDaniel back on the episode with this week, so you're you're not gonna have to suffer through me being the lead microphone. So I think it's a better show for it. But anyway, folks, I want to this is gonna be a shorter episode again this week, just due to the fact that having done Chris McDaniel's America and then this show and all the morning coffees. You know, I just feel like I'm going to keep this one a little bit shorter tonight,

and we'll come back hopefully next week. We'll get back in the swing of the full length episodes then. But really and truly, tonight, I just wanted to talk to everyone about something that was on my mind, something that was on my heart, and it's something that just often resonates with me. And it's an honest question that I'm going to ask you the listener, to look inside yourself, ask yourself this question, to be serious about it, Ask

your neighbors this question, and be serious about it. And that is what happens four years from now if you don't see a dramatic change in our country. What happens four years from now if at the end of Trump's second term, we don't see the advances that a lot of people are believing or coming. And I'll tell you first while I'm asking this question, because when I look at the numbers, when I look at the way this is going to play out, the Senate is going to

be a problem. Yes, I know the Republicans have the majority. But unless the Republicans have sixty plus seats, they're still going to struggle to get Trump's agenda passed. They're still going to struggle. Now they don't have to because they can end the filibuster, but they don't want to do that because both them and the Democrats benefit from being able to gain the system that way. So they don't

want to end the filibuster. They want to keep it right there in place, which is going to also give them a built in excuse, especially if Trump starts pushing a piece of his agenda that they don't necessarily agree with but don't want to go on record as they don't agree with. And we're going to see a lot of that happen. They're gonna be well, we we just couldn't get we couldn't get past the filibuster. We didn't have the votes, we didn't have the sixty plus votes

to end the filibuster. We've heard that excuse multiple times throughout the years, and it will be an excuse that we're going to hear again. I wish I could come to you with a more optimistic view of things, but I've seen how the sausage is made and Unfortunately, I'm extremely jaded. I'm extremely frustrated because again, don't get me wrong, I believe in Trump and I believe that he wants

to push through his agenda. But I also understand that these very same establishment Republicans, the ones who are going to wrap themselves up in Donald Trump when it comes time for their reelection, They're going to be obstructionist, but they're going to use Democrats and play the blame game. See, the problem is, the average American does not understand the filibuster system. They don't understand that leadership can put rules in place to end the filibuster at any time. But

they're not going to do that. John Thune is not going to end the filibuster. So they're going to stand behind that and utilize that as their excuse when major pieces of Trump's agenda go nowhere. It's a game that they have played for an awfully long time, and it's a game that works because, again, as I said before, too many people don't understand it, and too many people just are willingly to accept whatever excuse politicians throw it

out there. Adam, if it helps play into the mindset of red team versus Blue team, you see that's what we've become in this country. We've become separated into two tribes. We've become separated into red versus blue. And that would be great if red and blue were actually truly fighting one another. But for those of us who have been watching this for a long time, we understand Red is not truly fighting blue. Redd is just putting on a show to make sure that we think they're fighting Blue.

Blue might actually have some fight hit them, but for the most part, they're playing a similar game. They just seem to win a little bit more, but they're playing a similar game. You see, Republicans and Democrats sadly aren't as far apart as the appearances that they give us. Yes, I believe the modern Democrat party is insane. I've said that, I've gone on record with that. I don't back away from that. But my problem is Republicans don't seem to actually have the fight to end it. That's where the

excitement of Donald Trump comes in. Because if there's one thing you can say about Trump, Trump is a fighter. He's somebody that will throw haymakers. But he's also a lame duck president. He can't run again in four years. He cannot be the president again after this term. The Senators and the members of the House of Representatives they can run for as many unlimited terms as they want. So all they have to do is wait Donald Trump out, and that's their goal. They're going to talk a good game.

They're going to sell you that they're own Team Trump because again, that ensures they'll get reelected. Now, maybe the ones who just got reelected, who won't be coming up for reelection during Donald Trump's time in office, maybe they'll not play ball as much because they don't have to. They don't have to kiss the ring this time because they're already in and they're banking on when they come up,

your short term memory will forget. So again you're going to find obstructionist within the Republican part either going to fight against the Trump agenda, and even if they're not obviously fighting against it, like I said, they're going to use parliamentary procedures as the excuse for why they weren't able to get things done. This is said, this is frustrating,

but this is also not surprising. These are the things that we see go on constantly, not just in Washington, but if you if you look at your state capitals. Right now, in my home state of Mississippi, there is a battle brewing to end the state income tax. It's a battle that has call home for a couple of years now. The Republicans controlled the Senate, the Republicans control the House. You would think this would be an easy

measure to pass, but it's not the problem. The Senate side is run by a lieutenant governor who is a Republican name only. He is a true din the Wall Democrat who unfortunately the public didn't see through his lies and voted him back in and he's going to kill this income tax bill again. But here's the bigger problem. Folks like the governor and folks like the Speaker of the House, they're not going to go out and call out the lieutenant governor the way they should. They're going to, well,

we just couldn't get it done. Well, it just didn't work out this time. We'll have to go back to the drawing board. You already know the excuses that they're going to put out, because that's how they gain the system. That's how they keep you believing that they're fighting for you, that they're actually on your side. They're not. There was a time, and I've told the before, where I was an active member of the Red Team, I served on my Republican Executive Committee, I was a three time stay

delegate to the State Convention. And sadly, in those times, I watched people I used to think were fighters lose their fight. I saw some people exposed themselves for who they truly were, which was nothing more than puppets of the very establishment they claimed to want to fight against. There's a reason I'm extremely jaded. There's a reason I don't believe that we're going to see as much accomplished as a lot of people do. And I hope and I pray that I am wrong about this, but I

just don't think that I will be. So my question to you tonight, the reason why I wanted to go down this path with this episode, is if we're not able to accomplish, are you going to go away? Are you going to lose your zel to fight? Are you going to lose that resilience? Is your faith merely in Donald Trump? And if he can't get it done, do you lose faith? I fear most of us will, and I think it's a natural occurrence here because again I've been down this path. I've lost faith obviously based on

the way that I'm talking. And my loss of faith again has nothing to do with Donald Trump. It has to do with the people that he has to count on to get things done. The fact that he has to count on the Senate, the fact that he has to count on the House in order to get things done, is going to make it very problematic for him. Now again, I could be proven wrong, but I don't think I'm going to be. The other thing that I see going around social media A lot is this so and so

is going to Liz Cheney's going to be arrested. This person's going to be arrested. Biden's presidency is going to be completely overturned. Don't hold your breath on any of that. A lot of that is just insane chatter on social media. As far as the mass arrest, I don't think that's going to happen. I just don't see it happening. Didn't happen four years ago when everyone was chanting lock her up whenever Hillary Clinton, whenever her name came up, it

was lock her up? Did Hillary Clinton get locked up? Did that happen?

Speaker 1

No?

Speaker 2

So why should we think that that's going to change this go around. I just don't see it. Plus, is also a dangerous game to play to start going after past presidents, much as what we saw the Democrats do with Donald Trump. I just don't know that that's strategy I think is smart to continue. Again, this is more of a downer episode. I'm sure. I'm sure there are people out there that are upset at the approach I'm

taking tonight. I'm sure there are people out there that are wondering, why isn't he more optimistic, Why doesn't he see that Trump going to get things done? And I wish I was one of those people who did still have that kind of faith. I wish I was one of those people who hears Trump say he's gonna do this or he's gonna do that, and believes he's going

to get it done. But again, I've seen how the sausage is made, and I fear that we're just going to see a bunch of politicians waiting Donald Trump out. I fear that we're going to see the vast majority of these politicians hide behind parliamentary games and parlor tricks as their excuses for why they weren't able to do more. This is the reality. This is what we've seen time and time again, and none of this is a reflection

against Donald Trump. None of it again. Like I said, it's it's a frustrating time when it comes to American politics. Chris said to start the show yesterday, he's tired of talking in politics, and maybe I am as well. It doesn't mean I'm going away, that doesn't mean this show is going to end anytime soon. But every now and then I got to stop, and I've got to vent and rant and just throw out something instead of covering the news stories, actually have a conversation, a conversation, because

here's the reality. If I'm right and Trump's not able to get his agenda through the way that we need him to, then we have to remain engaged because we're going to have to remember and take names of the people that stood in the way of it. We're going to have to vote out the people and that's not going to be easy. Trust me, I've taken on the establishment. I've been a part of campaigns that get our heads kicked in constantly with negative attack ads, lies and smear

campaigns just so they can hold onto their power. It's what they do. They're good at it, and there's a reason they're able to stay in power so long. Last week on Chris McDaniel's America, when I was guest hosting for Chris, we had a long conversation about the need for term limits, which we need in this country desperately. If we had term limits, a lot of these issues that we are talking about right now could go away

if we had term limits. These politicians couldn't wait out Donald Trump the way that they're going to, because their time is going to come to an end one way or another. But where we stand today with these politicians knowing that nothing that they do will matter for the most part, especially again when you've got a senator that is starting year one of a six year term. Most voters aren't going to remember the stupid things they do

in years one end two. They probably aren't even going to remember the stupid things they did in three and four. They know that voters have short term memories. They understand this. They prey on the fact that you're not paying as close attention because they they know they can get away with those bad votes in those early years. If you go and you look at your state, Legislaturesissippi, we have four year terms and most of them will do really dumb votes and dumb things the first two three years

of session. That fourth year, oh, there ain't going to be a single controversial bill pass because they're all running for reelection and they're banking on that short term memory that you won't remember how they voted on this issue because it happened you're one or two, and most of the time it works out in their favor. Even if they get an upstart candidate to run against them, they'll

just they've got more money than them. So they're just going to spend a ton of money on negative attack ad mailers that are full of lies, just so that they can try to push this false narrative that the challenger is a bad guy, all while running away from their record because they can't defend their record. They know they can't defend their record, so that's the reason why

they go down this negative attack ad campaign. I've got a friend of mine that's about to potentially run for mayor back in my hometown of Vicksburg, Mississippi, and I think her heart is in the right place. I think she would probably do a great job if elected but again, she's going to be running against an incumbent. It's going to be difficult because she's not going to have the money. Now, this being a city election, she won't need as much as she would for a statewide race. But it's still

going to be difficult because it's still an incumbent. But it's easier on a city level, it's easier on a county level. Maybe these are the places that we need to start. Maybe these are the places that we need to try to focus on taking back, because if we don't take back our homes, if we're not taking back our cities, if we're not taking back our counties, if we're not taking back our states, nothing that's happening in

Washington matters because we're lost at home. So we need to try to make sure that we figure out some type of guidance here. I hope and pray, as I said before, that I'm wrong and that Donald Trump, through sheer force of will, is able to push through the greatest American first agenda that we've ever seen. I hear things like changing the name of Gulf of Mexico to

the Gulf of America. That's not something that excites me. Yeah, It might look cool on a T shirt, but that's not something that matters in the grand scheme of things. What's it matter what the name of the Gulf of Mexico is named. Is that going to shrink the debt? Is that going to ensure that your children have a future. No, it's just a fun little thing that I can throw out there and that certain people will get all excited about. But it doesn't do anything for the betterment of our nation,

nothing at all. It's just a feel good, little pop easy political game trick. We need substantive things. We need to figure out a way to cut our addiction to spending. We have to figure out a way to end this national deficit, because we're I've said it multiple times and I'll continue to repeat it. We are speeding very fast towards that cliff. Once we run over that cliff, goodbye country. Once that collapse happens, this nation's gonna collapse. We're already

so divided. All it's gonna take is something like that, and then this nation's over. Maybe that'll be a good thing. Maybe we'll be better off if we're just independent nations, as the states are already construed. Maybe that's maybe that's the way it's gonna have to be. I don't know, but I know I don't want to find out either, because I love our great nation, even the lunatics on the left love our nation. I want to see it prosperous.

I want to see it survive because I do believe that God granted us with greatest nation in the history of the world, and as a nation that we need to be focused on in fighting for is going to take more than one person. Donald Trump can't do it by himself. It's going to take us actually paying attention to our senators, to our congressmen, to actually voting them out when we see evidence of them working against our interest.

And believe me, if you're honest with yourself and you look down deep, even if the senator or congressman that represents you has an or beside their name, there's a very good chance that they've not been working your best interests Republican doesn't always mean right. Matter of fact, a lot of times it doesn't because they have no interest in cutting the deficit, they have no interest in doing

anything that might reduce spending. They'll hide behind excuses like, well, this was a defense bill, so we have to fund the military. They'll hide behind that excuse, they'll hide behind parliamentary excuses, They'll hide behind whatever they feel they need to. It's that simple, people. We have fallen for these tricks

for far too long. So again my question to you this evening, as I get ready to wrap up this short show, if four years from now you wake up and you don't see as much progress as you believed was possible today, are you going to stay engaged? Are you going to fight and fight even harder because now you understand the obstacles that were put in the place of the man you believed was going to deliver this for you? Or are you going to go back in your little shell and just go home and not fight anymore?

Are you going to go back in your little home and just earn on will of fortune or something that takes your mind off of things and focus away from this. It's an interesting question, and it's something we're going to have to be reflective of ourselves, because, as I said, and I laid out all the factors and all the reasons why it's very likely Donald Trump won't be as successful as we want him to be. And as I've said multiple times throughout this broadcast. I pray I'm wrong.

I pray I'm wrong. I will. I look forward to doing a show forty years from today admitting how wrong I was that everything worked out. They rallied together, they reduced the deficit, they fixed the problems in this country. I look forward to that. But I also don't believe it's going to happen. But man, I hope to be proven wrong, because I think that would be the best for our country, for me and my jaded nature to be incorrect in this instance. This isn't about ego, this

isn't about me being right. I don't want to be right in this instance. I want to be wrong. But I have such little faith in the Republican Party. I have such little faith that they'll actually stand up and fight to get the things past that we need to see past, the substantive changes that will actively sustain our nation for years to come. But if they don't start taking the national death set seriously, none of it's gonna matter, people. And that's just the bottom line. Guys. This has been

the right Side radio program. As I told you at the start of the show, this one was going to be an abbreviated episode this week. Hopefully next week things will get a little bit back to normal.
