This being the first morning coffee of the new year, I had something else in mind. But of course, over the weekend, the United States carried out raids on Venezuela and took its president and his wife in custody, who have since been transferred to New York City for a court arraignment on narco terrorism charges. This is a interesting development in which there are a lot of people questioning the authority that the United States had to go in
there and get Manduro and his wife. A lot of people asking questions, and they are conservatives out there that are looking around and trying to see what's next. Because one of the things that Trump said, that the United States will run Venezuela is not something that excites me because I don't want to see our troops sent overseas again. If the case is strong enough, and Maduro and his wife were in fact Narco terrorists. I have no problem
with them being captured and brought to justice. But what I don't want to see is the United States having a long term presence in another foreign nation. I don't want to see the United States sending our men and women of service over to Venezuela and put themselves in harms way for a country that is not ours. It's again, it's one thing to say that. It's another thing, though, to sit here and say that I have all the answers, because I don't yet, we don't know what this all
looks like. But I think that's a fair thing to say that you don't want to see US military having to sacrifice our men and women for a foreign nation. Yet there are some so called conservatives out there who get mad at the mere suggestion that we shouldn't be willing to do that. And this is one of the things that I having an increasing problem with, and this thought that we can't criticize anything that Trump does or anything the current administration does because we have to be
united and stand behind and that's just not the case. People. We can be critical and still be supportive you look at it this way. If you're a married couple, you've been married for forty years, do you agree on everything? Probably not. It's the same thing when it comes to our political leaders. This doesn't mean that a conservative that has been critical of this move, and not even necessarily critical of the move, critical of what we might have to endure in the aftermath, to say that they are
somehow now not a conservative. Look, I'm going to say this again and I've said it before. Trump does not define conservatism, and it is okay to disagree with him. That doesn't mean you regret your vote. That doesn't mean that you're not a supporter. That means you disagree with him on an issue. And in this whole all or nothing bull crap is something I'm getting quite tired of. I'm getting really tired of the people that want to
say it has to be all or nothing. And as I said at the on site at the beginning of this episode, I am not an expert on what they have on the Venezuelan president. I am reserving judgment on the action because I want to see a little bit more information. I think we would have not gone in there if they didn't know, and have it dead to write because one thing about Trump is he's not been a warmonger pretty much ever, So there had to have been compelling evidence to make them go in there, and
I do believe that. But at the same time, I can issue my statement that I don't want to see a long term military investment in Venezuela. Another reason why it does appear this was a good move. The people of Venezuela are celebrating it. Venezuelan immigrants in the United States seem to be more okay with it. But that doesn't stop the liberals from lighting up to protest just hours after it happened. And it begs the question, how do these people even have time to organize such a protest. Well,
the answer is simple. They start this protest simply because they under stood the assignment. They're hired guns to go out and protest. They're professional protesters. They're not real people. Now I'm sure some real people once they saw it happening, they joined in because they hate anything in everything that
Donald Trump does. There needs to be some time to investigate, research and figure out and if you still disagree with the actions of the administration by all means, But the very just mere hours after the action has happened, and you've already got organized protests on the streets of Chicago, California cities, New York. I mean, it's pretty absurd how quickly the protest began. It's almost as if they were just there waiting to be told what they're protesting next.
As I said, we'll keep a close eye on this action, the arrest, the upcoming trial. It's going to be pretty interesting and we will be monitoring it. And for now, my opinion on the action itself is a wait and see approach with a lean to I believe they knew what they were doing when they went in and got them. My criticism, my concern comes from a long term military presence in Venezuela. That is not something I want to
see happen. I do not want to see the possibility of any of our men and women of armed services having to sacrifice their lives for a nation that is not the United States, the implication that this was done over all, I don't want to see men and women dying over that. And for any one of these so called conservatives who wants to be critical of that, send your own damn kid. I guarantee you you're not willing to.
