So a lot of stuff going on in the world today, and if I sound a little less energetic, it's not because the news didn't
excite me. As I've mentioned before, as part of the new job as a reporter at the Laurel Leader Call, one of my duties is to deliver the papers, which is a long trek but we're getting used to it. But last night the papers didn't arrive to us to start delivering before nine pm, which meant we didn't get
in until five am that morning. So it's been a long day and no promise that this show will be a full hour length episode, but I want to go ahead and get something out because there's just so much happening in the world and it's just important that we keep the consistency. We missed morning coffee this morning because by the time I got home there was there was no energy for an episode, not darn sure didn't want to drink a cup of coffee that might have possibly
kept me up any longer. So I do apologize for that. But Morning Coffee will return Friday morning, so you will have a brand new episode of Morning Coffee waiting for you on Friday morning. But this morning's we just it was a good idea to take a break. And as I told you listeners that you may see some interruptions here or there in programming, depending on our schedule with the way things are going, if there's a breaking news that pulls me a way to where I can't record.
So I'm going to do my best to put out five days a week content, but it's a possibility that there's going to be days where it just doesn't work out. And that's just that's part of the fun, now, you know. And I do say fun and mean fun because when I when I talk about my new job, I talk about how much I'm loving it. And one of the aspects I love the most is just the family vibe that I get. That it's something I didn't have at the previous job. That doesn't mean I didn't have great
coworkers or anything like that. And to my great former coworkers who I know, listen, trust me, this isn't an offense to you guys. But when I say a family atmosphere, I'm talking about from the top down from Jim or Big Boss, the owner of the Laurele or call, all the way down to my coworkers Kevin Guru, Sean Layton. I mean, we've got just a family feeling. And I hadn't even been there, you know, that long, but it just it feels like a family, and that is That's
just something I was missing, and I'm excited. It's definitely challenging work, especially on deadline day when you have sources or people that haven't gotten you all your information and you're trying to beat the clocks so you can get your story in for the paper the next day. We actively try to make sure that we're not trying to run up against the clock on deadline day, but sometimes you can't help it. Sometimes that's just the way that
it is. And it's awesome because we all help one another and we do whatever we can to assist one another to make sure that we put out a quality paper. Of course, are the longtime editor in chief. As you know if you've listened to this program, Mark Thornton retired recently, so that adds to the challenge. But I'm loving our team so far and I feel like we're rising to that challenge. And I definitely think Mark himself would be proud of the two editions we put out since he left.
So I'm excited and I am really enjoying it. So don't let my fatigue sound like there's anything wrong with the job, because this is probably one of the most filling jobs I've had in my entire life. And for that, I think Jim, I think Mark, because they believed in me despite the long gap between doing any reporting. So I'm really excited and look forward to continue to move on.
For longtime listeners the Right Side Radio program, who go all the way back to when Chris McDaniel and I started the original program back on ninety eight point one WMXI Radio, you will recall that Chris and I used to have the tagline the only show where you'll find a conservative lawyer and a conservative journalist talking about politics. And well, I'm happy to say that the conservative journalist has returned, and that is a that's exciting. You know,
that's exciting. There's a lot of rewarding things that you get with this job. And some of the people that I've been able to meet in my short time in this position, you know, not just my coworkers, but you know, whether it's members of law enforcement or city officials. It's just it's been really great so far. I know they'll come in time where maybe we'll cover something and somebody will get mad at us, and you know that that's gonna happen. That's just part of it. But for now,
my enjoyment is just, uh, it really is. It's really awesome. And again, thank you Jim, thank you Mark, thank you Sean, thank you Kevin, Guru Lakedon. You know, because you guys are are making the uh, this transition a lot easier for me, and that's, uh, that's fairly exciting for me. And uh, I look forward to seeing what we can do as we continue down this venture. And that's part of the reason why I wanted to start the show off with that, because I just don't want anyone to think, oh, no,
he's he's overworked, he hates it. No, it's not it at all. I find it to be completely amazing, you know, and I am absolutely loving the job that we are we're doing in the and the fact that we are growing our abilities and figuring out ways to continue to grow our reach and get more folks to check out our paper. So again, check out the Laurel Leader Call if you're one of those that lives outside of the area. It's definitely a paper I think that is worthwhile to
uh and I always have I was. I'm still a subscriber even though I worked there. I'm still a subscriber to The Leader Call because I think it is the best publication in the state of Mississippi. And I definitely believe that before I worked there. It's because of the hard work people like Jim Mark, Sean, Kevin Guru, all of them put in well before I came on board. They're the ones who built the brand into what it is and I'm just happy they invited me to be
a part of it. Now, let's get into the news. Enough of this sappy stuff. That's not why you tune into the Right Side radio program. You tune in for biting commentary. And you know, we've got a little bit tonight because there's some fun stuff that we can talk about, you know. And one is this story that came out where Vice President jd Vance went after CBS News suggesting that his mother in law was being harassed by its reporters and attempt to attack Donald Trump of her diversity,
equality and inclusion policies, you know, the DEI policies. CBS News published a story headlined, she advanced DEI at her university. Her son in law, Vice President jd Vance wants to indit nationwide that put a spotlight on his mother in law and looking at the name, I'm not going to attempt it because I'm sure I'll butcher that name of his mother in law. But she is the provost of the University of California, San Diego's sixth college, So she
is a she is someone who is in academia. And they talk about how she helped create a pilot course on race, ethnicity and gender in biology and medicine and served on the university's Biological Science Diversity Committee and has written proudly of her school's commitment to diversity. This is coming from CBS News reporters Gram Kates and Daniel Kleideman.
But they didn't stop there. They said a crack down on what President Trump Advance call wokeness has been the hallmark of their of their administration's first weeks, widespread scale bags of DEI programs in academia, government, and across corporations have marked some of the administration's earliest marquee victories. Vance went after CBS News When he was asked for a comment by the outlet, he said, I don't like DA and I'm proud of what our administration is done on
that front, but I love my mother in law. If she doesn't share my views on DEI, I suppose I'll have to do what ninety nine percent of Americans do when confronted with a family member who doesn't always agree with them, get over it. This story exists because CBS has decided that harassing my mother in law is a reasonable price in order to attack President Trump. CBS News, of course, they so far have not commented on this.
Vans also went further and told CBS that he chooses to focus on his mother in law's kindness and the fact that she's an incredible mother and a loving grandmother to the most important people in my life. CBS News piece went on to say that the Trump administration has attacked DEI on college campus campuses with particular ZILL threatening investigations, law suits, and canceled funding, and noted that Fance has
been vocal about combating the EI. Of course, if you look at this, Trump has made it a top priority to get rid of the initiatives from federal bureaucracies, and the President has signed multiple executive orders aimed at addressing what it argues is practice that does more harm than good by ignoring other factors. CBS also admitted its own parent company as ditch DEI initiatives. Since Trump took office,
of CBS itself has done away with this. So it's crazy when you sit back and you look at this and you see the attacks that are going on, and it's insane that they want to continue to attack JD. Evans by going after his mother in law and her beliefs. Maybe they think that's fair game. But would they do that if it was a Democrat in office and they found out that the Democrat had a mother in law that had conservative views. I don't think so. I think
they'd stay out of that. Yet CBS decides that's fair game, and maybe it is, maybe it isn't but I like the fact the jd Vance is not just accepting this and taking it and on the chin. Now. Jd Vance
is a fighter, and jd Vance comes back swinging. If you want to include his mother in law, if you want to try to advance your positions by going after a member of his family, well you better be ready to come hard because guess what, Vance is always going to come hard at you because jd Vance understands what maybe you don't understand. Jd Vance understands that this is not the proper way that you should be handling things.
But this is the mainstream media now, especially when they know that they are beaten on a subject, when they understand they're taking longs after loss. DII initiatives may have an admirable goal, but their execution is extremely flawed because when you're taking away opportunities from more skilled or qualified individuals and handing it to somebody that is less qualified based solely on the issue of their race, that in itself is a racist position. The sad thing is that
the liberal media never sees this. They don't understand that racism can exist from other races besides white people. They want to continue to tell folks that, well, you've been targeted, you've been systematically victimized, and as a result, the government has to help you out. That should be insulting to everyone, because the reality is anyone that put fords the worth, anyone that poorts forth the effort, can advance them selves
and move themselves forward in life. They don't need the strong arm of government to come in and help them, and they don't need these businesses putting out these ridiculous policies that are discriminator, that are discriminary in nature. I don't care what anybody says, these are practices of discrimination.
Because anytime, any time you take an individual and you tell them, despite them being the most qualified person for the job, that they cannot have the job because you have to click, you have to put a check mark beside a diversity checklist. That's not something that's ever going to work. That's not something that's ever going to fly. And when you look around and you see some of these jobs not being performed as well as they once were, well you start to see the end result of these
DEI policies in action. They don't work, they're not good
for the country, they're absolutely terrible for the country. They're terrible for race relations as well, because instead of making sure that we are getting the most qualified, getting individuals who actively want to work or actively have put in the work and put in the grades to be the most qualified people at their chosen profession, when you're not doing it the correct way and you're just picking winners and losers based solely on on the diversity checklist, you're
not doing anything to benefit the very people that you're claiming to try to want to help. No, what you're doing is you're creating resentment. Because again, when I look at a job and find out I was the more qualified for the job, and yet I didn't get it because I didn't check the right diversity checkbox, that's not a good practice. That is an absolute insult to the person that got the job unfairly, and it's definitely an insult to the person who didn't get the job who
had the better qualifications. We should be looking for the most qualified person for these positions. We shouldn't just be trying to check a diversity checkbox. We shouldn't be trying to look. And that doesn't mean you can't take a chance on somebody because you see something in them that you think could lead them to be hyper successful for you. Absolutely, you should take those type of opportunities on people. Absolutely should take those type of chances on individuals. But that's
not what we're talking about here. We're talking about giving an opportunity to someone less qualified merely because they check a diversity checkbox. These type of practices need to go far away. Trump and JD. Vans are one hundred percent right and trying to crack down on this. They are one hundred percent right and trying to fight back against
these policies, and thank god that they are. If you look at some of the things like the recent issues in our skies with the anes and different unqualified people within the FAA, then you can see a perfect example of the failure of DEI policies. We need to get past this nonsense as quickly as possible. And it's also extremely telling of how weak their position is when they want to bring in JD. Vance's mother in law, like maybe by bringing her in they can shame him into
standing up to Donald Trump and protecting DEI policies. That's not going to happen. Anything that we've learned about JD. Vance by watching him during the election cycle and early on in his days as vice president. Is He's a man of strong convictions and very strong principles, and I don't see him wavering in that one bit just because you want to point out that his mother in law
may have disagreement with him on this issue. And he's a man that truly loves his family and you can see that clearly, and he's not going to tolerate the fact that you want to write this piece of garbage just because you want to try to drive a wedge between him and his family. It's absurd, it's ridiculous. His mother in law didn't run for office her, but if she wants to come out and rip his positions, that's
her business. But for you to try to drive that wedge, for CBS to be the ones to try to call her out by name and make this a story, it's absurd, But it's not surprising because that's who the mainstream media is. They are the absurd entities that are going to continue to try to push their agenda. They're losing on this
and they know they're losing on this issue. This issue is one of the very reasons why Kamala Harris didn't win last year, the economy, their absurd DEEI push, the fact that they can't ever seem to let go of this transgender non sense. All of that led to the Democrats losing, and yet they still don't see it. They
continue to double down on it. And CBS News knows spatter, the same CBS News that had Trump file a twenty billion dollar lawsuit against them alleging election interference over its handling of the sixty minutes interview with Kamala Harris, accusing the network of aiding Harris through deceptive editing days before
the election, and it was very much deceptive editing. Anyone who followed this, anyone who watched this knows it was deceptive editing because we've seen the real video now and we've seen exactly how much they covered up for the fact that Kamala Harris is a blithering idiot. They didn't want the world to see that. They didn't want the world to understand just how bad she was, so they doctored things up and made her sound a lot better
because they thought that this was the path. They're not a trusted news agency, they haven't been for years, yet they still want to try to project themselves as one of the pillars of the news committity. They're not. Look, I can respect someone who has a bias, much like I do. I put it in the title of my show. But what A don't respect is when you sit there with a straight face and try to tell me that you're an objective journalist and you write hit pieces like this.
What A don't respect is when you tell me that you're supposed to be right down the middle and you're going out of your way to target family members who have nothing to do with this administration merely because you think it makes your point better. That's who CBS is. They're manipulative, they're liars, and they're being caught once again trying to peddle a lie and target JD. Vans's mother in law in this instance, and by nature, they're hoping by targeting her they can make him and by extension,
Donald Trump look bad. That's their only goal here. They know that this is a flimsy piece and they understand what they're doing, but that's the target they want to go down. That's the path because that's the only path they know. That's yellow journalism, and that's all CBS News is now, it's just a yellow journalism outlet. They're not someone to take serious. They're not someone who is a
legitimate news agency. I'm quite tired of seeing the alleged Big three CBSNBC, and ABC pretend that they still have any credibility. They lost all credibility years ago. Journalism as we know it died several years ago. It didn't just die yesterday. And despite the fact they've been exposed for what they truly are, they continue to double down on these type practices because again, they don't learn anything from
their misbehaviors. They don't under understand that their anemic terrible ratings are completely tied to the fact that they have gone down this path. They don't get it, they don't care to get it, because it just doesn't it doesn't suit their agenda. They still think you and I, the American public, are idiots, and that's the reason why they still feel like they can go down this path. That's the reason why they still believe they can push filth like this and we'll just accept it as fact. Now,
we're smarter than that. We have seen through the lies of the mainstream media and we understand that you are not objective. We understand you are not fair, we understand you are not balanced. We've seen it too much with our own eyes. You can't put the genie back in the bottle now, CBS, ABC, NBC, or whoever it is, we know who you are. You've been exposed. You exposed yourself. And kudos to Vice President Fance for standing up to them and pushing back, because I think we need to
see a lot more of that. Do I think they'll stop. No, but maybe more people will stop watching them, and as their already anemic ratings continue to shrink, they'll go away and we just won't have to worry about them any longer. That will be the ultimate victory when we see that come down. Now, let's pause right here for our first commercial break at the evening because I want to pause,
and then we'll come back. We'll switch gears because I brought up the transgender movement because there's news there today with the big law being signed I believe it was in West Virginia, and also some silliness there on Capitol Hill involving not using someone's preferred pronouns. When we get back, we'll talk about the insanity. This is the right side
radio program. We'll be right back The Midnight Ride, the home of the anti establishment move meant this network features great programming such as Chris McDaniel's America God and Country, The right Side Radio Show, Paul Revere's Liberty Layer, and many more coming soon. So check out the Midnight Ride today, head to the Midnight Ride dot com and check out all the amazing content. All right, guys, welcome back here to the right Side Radio program. Not gonna say this
is the home stretch yet, but it might be. It just depends on how my energy level progresses. If we'll have one more segment after this one. But I do want to get into the story of West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrissey. He hosted former University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gains in Charleston on Wednesday to sign into law the Riley Gains Act. The law codifies the definitions of man and woman into state law there in West Virginia. So again, this is a good bill because the bill passed the
state Senate. There are along party lines ninety to eight and according to the text of the measure, reff arms long standing meetings of sex male and female in state law. Preserves women's restrooms, sleeping quarters, locker rooms, and other private facilities for sole use of women to prevent abuse, harassment, sexual assault, and violence committed by men. Morrisey said Wednesday that he was inspired by the story of a fourteen
year old shot put athlete Emily Slurino. Sereno and her teammates refused to participate in the twenty twenty three Harrison County Middle School Championship event as a protest against being primed to compete against a transgendered athlete. Morsey, then Attorney General, threw his support behind a lawsuit over the situation. He said that this is an incredible day for West Virginia. He went on to credit those who helped make sure that this came through, and it is awesome to see
that this moved on, he said. I worked on this issue for a long time, and even right now we have multiple cases at the Supreme Court Morse. He said, adding that in the end, true heroes the movement are the athletes themselves, like Gaines and Sereno. This is a huge win for sure, because but it's sad that we have to do this. It's sad that this is a question that should even be brought up in this day and age, because again we understand that men and women
are different. There was this whole thing, and they celebrated every now and then, this whole Title nine stuff that was created to give girls a chance in sports, and yet now they want to pervert it to try to allow these confused individuals who believe themselves to be a girl but are in fact a man, to take those opportunities away from these little girls. And that shouldn't be allowed. Look,
I've said this before. If you wake up to more and you want to believe yourself to be a butterfly and knock yourself out, I just don't have to participate in the delusion with you. If you want to wake up tomorrow and identify as something else, that's fine. But once you make that choice, and trust me, it is
a choice, I don't care what the left says. Once you make that choice, there are certain things that you're going to have to give up in One of those is the ability to place sports against the sex you claim that you are. If you're a biological mail, you're stuck on the men's team, and if you're not good enough to make the men team, you can't then try to run and seek refuge on the girls team. It's just not going to happen. And it's ridiculous that the left decided to go down this path, and this is
a hill that they want to die on. And trust me, they're dying on this hill. If you don't believe me, go back and look at last year's elections. These are the very issues that led to their demise. They didn't want to accept it, they didn't want to believe it, but that is the truth. They still want to push back on common sense legislation, common sense, but sad that it has to be defined in the first place. You can't give the left an inch, because once you give
them something, they decide to take more. Several years ago, there was the battle over homosexual marriage. My position was governments should get out of the marriage business and leave it up to the churches themselves. Stop giving tax breaks or incentives just because you're married, and guess what you'll have less people, less of these groups trying to pervert
the sanctity of marriage. But by the same token, if there is a church that wants to recognize these same sex couples, knock yourself out, but get government out of it. Don't force churches to accept something that is truly against their dogma. Don't try to get them to readjust because you think that they are wrong. It was the simplest approach. But the other thing I said is the second you give them this, they're not going to stop there, because the left is going to continue to push on another
track and long and behold, it's this transgender nonsense. That's that's the hill they want to die on now. And one of the things about liberals is they don't stop. They're going to keep coming because that is the way that they continue to push forward here, because they believe that that is their duty to continue to fight against you. They want to try to pervert everything in this country and change every norm that we've ever had. That is
what they've done for years. That's what they continue to do. They profess to hate Donald Trump, yet they don't understand that they are the very ones who helped create the rise of Donald Trump. Because there's so many people that are so sick of the woke nonsense that we continue to see in our country that when they hear someone speaking out against it and saying on a national stage, several of the things that they already believed, they instantly
gravitated towards him. They don't get that. For the life of them, they can't understand why Donald Trump has any appeal. But this is part of the reason. It's because of how they went down this path in the first place. For those of us who do like Trump, thank you
for that. But they did help create this. But the insanity didn't stop there, because there was an incident in the House of Representatives where Representative Keith Self of Texas abruptly adjourned a congressional hearing on Tuesday after Representative Bill Keaton, a Democrat from Massachusetts, vehemently objected to Self, describing Representative
Sarah McBride as the representative from Delaware. Mister McBride. McBride, who identifies as a transgender woman, responded to Self, who chairs the House Foreign Affairs Committee Committee's Europe subcommittee, by saying thank you, Madam chair. As McBride sought to continue speaking, ranking Member Keaton interrupting, asking Self, could you repeat your introduction again please? Self said, ah, yes, we have set
the standard on the floor. Of course, Kating was like, what is that standard, mister chairman, and of course, then he said I will repeat it and said the representative from Delaware mister McBride. Keaton then decided to tell me he was out of order and asked him did he have no decency? Self said that they would continue the hearing.
That's uh, when keeping you know the strong noble keating you know so you will not continue with me unless you introduce a duly elected representative of the right way. And that's when self adjourned the meeting. Now I hate to break it to you, but McBride is a man. Mister McBride is not the wrong way to describe him. Carrying on with him in his delusion is the wrong way to go about it. But again, this is the hill the Democrats want to die on. Mister McBride has
a mental illness. And again the left hates it when I say that, but it's the truth. If you're born a man and you believe in fact that you're a woman, you're mentally not well. You have the issue, not the person who points out the fact that you are in fact a man. It's the man that wants everyone to pretend that they're a woman. That's the person with the issue. It's sad that McBride was ever elected in the first place, because again, should not be elected when you have mental
illnesses like he does. And for this Keaton to try to pretend that he's this noble person taking up for this abused and insensitivity of the chairman, it is laughable at best. But he wasn't doing it to actually defend McBride. He was doing it because he wanted to grandstand. He wanted all the attention on him. It was never about McBride. It was about there insanity and they're insanity to continue to try to push this narrative that you can live
your truth. That's gobbly gooped nonsense people and the Democrats know this. Most of them agree in behind closed doors that a man is a man and a woman as a woman, and that she can't change. But now that they've turned this into a political wedge issue, they're not willing to back down. Now that they've turned this into a group that they're trying to exploit, they're not going
to back down. But they know. Trust me, I used to work with liberals and it cracks me up to watch some of these liberals now that I knew years ago on social media, who I would see them snicker and make fun of and talk about how disgusting it was when a man came dressed as a woman trying to pretend to be But now we've got to protect trans writes. You didn't think that a few years ago. A few years ago you were saying out loud. But now now that this is the social move that you're
trying to change social norms, now you've become enlightened. No, you're a liar. You just see a marginalized group or one that you claim is marginalized, and you try to exploit them for your own benefit. You don't really care about them. If you did, you'd be trying to help them get mental health help. You wouldn't be trying to double down on their illness by telling them to live their truth and then trying to get everyone else to accept their delusion as well. It doesn't work that way.
If I wake up to more and tell you that I'm a tree, you should look at me like I'm a crazy person, because I am not, in fact a tree. That's the sad thing that these people don't get, and that's the reason why they keep losing, and that is part of the reason why I'm happy that they're insane because their insanity continues to ensure that they are unelectable, and that's a good thing for us, and that's a
good thing for our positions. So please keep doubling down on the idiocy that cost you elections in the first place, and maybe you can just keep losing, because I don't think you're ever going to win over the American public on this ridiculous transgendered nonsense. This has been the or this is the right Side Radio program. We're going to
come back for a more segment. We'll be right back. Hey, everyone, this is Jack Fairnshild's the Right Side Radio program and license reviewed, and I want to talk to you for a second about my pillow. All right, guys,
welcome back here to the Right Side radio program. Here we are on the stretch the radio show, the final segment of the program. Today, we're watching more and more of this trade war that we are engaged with with Canada, as Donald Trump has decided to raise his pressure on Canada, announcing late Monday that he will be doubling tariffs ONDA on Canadian still in aluminum to fifty percent, citing Ontario's
move to Leviot's hacks on US electricity imports. So again, here we are watching them decide to go back and forth. This is a game that I think Canada can't win. I think Donald Trump knows this, and I think watching this play out is going to be fascinating to see who blinks first. Smart money is on Canada blinking first,
because I'm not sure Trump knows how to blink. But we'll see you know again, as I said a couple of weeks ago, we need to be giving Trump a little bit of the benefit of the doubt because we've seen him victorious and things that many of us questioned it at the time and even asked if it was a foolish move to try to pursue. But here we are and watching him move forward. We'll talk about that more at length later on, but I felt like it was worth mentioning in passing here in the home stretch
of the show. Now switching gears, you know, And is there a more unlikable individual in sports than Lebron James. I mean, for all of his talents, despite how gifted he is as an athlete, he's just so arrogant, so full of himself, that he is hard to like. If you ask him if he's the greatest of all time, he will always answer yes, I am, of course I am. You flip that on his head and go back to somebody like Michael Jordan when he's asked the same question.
He says, it's impossible for me to say that because there are so many different eras and people that did this or did that. And it's a much more humbling answer from Jordan as opposed to Lebron James. Of course I am, I'm the greatest. He's not. He's just a really, really good player who's the best of his era without a doubt. But best of all time. That's subjective, and
we don't want to get into that anyway. But you watched this man, like even over the weekend, he was playing against the Boston Celtics and Jason Tatum drives past him and his defense couldn't stop him. So what's he do. He pretends he got hit by nelbow and flops because he's hoping to get a fire. I called that's the
type of ridiculous stuff that makes him so unlikable. And then you also flip it on his head, and you look at the fact that he strong armed his team into drafting his son, despite the fact his son only spent one year in college and barely played, barely played, and when he did play, he wasn't that good. But he forced the Lakers hand to draft him. And now he's decided to jump in the face of stephen A. Smith, the reporter from ESPN. Now, look, I'm not a stephen A.
Smith fan. If you've listened to the show before, you've heard me say that he is one of the co creators of the shout at each other sports tape shows that now dominate sports networks, and my opinion, are some of the worst program I mean imaginable, and he is one of the worst at it because that's all he thinks his opinion is right. The louder he talks that if I shout enough, that makes me right. It doesn't work that way, stephen A. But I understand that's what
you believe. But no, no, being the loudest person in the room doesn't make you the smartest person in the room. A lot of times it says just the opposite about you, because if you don't want to allow others to talk and you want to constantly shout over them, that's a problem. But in this regard, I'm on stephen A's side because Lebron James jumped in his face at a basketball game, and originally stephen A looked at it in a different light.
He said that that wasn't a basketball player confronted me. That was a parent and that was a father, and he gave Lebron James the benefit of that. Then out. But now there's a video that came out of James talking with a former NBA player in ESPN analyst Richard Jefferson that changed his tone where he said, I thought it was weak. I thought that was some bs, But in the moment I knew I was listening to a father. Smith said of James, he said, Yo, you got to
stop talking that blank about my son. You got to stop blanking with my son. That's my son, that's my son. That's what James said to stephen A. According to stephen A. Smith, Smith, of course, after taking some time away, he's now saying that he thought he missed representative the argument he said, because what he was really talking about, which was confirmed in his conversation with Richard Jefferson, is that I was talking about him as a father. Had he said that
to me, I wouldn't have been thrown off. I would have come right back at him and said, yes, I was. I was talking about you, and you did this. And again the criticism of Lebron James for forcing his son, who had his very very brief stint in college into being drafted in the second round and forcing his way into the NBA was absurd in the first place. His son, Brownie James, should still be in college trying to find his game, and he may never be good enough to
play in the NBA. If you go down the history of great athletes and their kids, very few what their fathers did. Very few are able to do or achieve the greatness their fathers before them did. Their exceptions, King Griffy Or ended up eclipsing his father, King Griffy Sor, But the majorities fall into the Marcus Jordans of the world, into the Ronnie James of the world. They don't follow
the footsteps of their legendary fathers. They might play the same game, they might follow the path of the same sport, but they just can't achieve the same greatness. You go down the list and you'll see a lot of names. Pete Rose Junior comes to mind. They had legendary fathers, but they couldn't either. It wasn't they either they weren't good enough or they just couldn't live up to the pressure of trying to perform at the same level of
their dads. But where Lebron James failed to his son was forcing him into the league and opening up all this criticism. Because again, if you force the team to take your son despite the fact he hasn't earned the spot in the first place, that criticism is now valid. It doesn't matter if it offends you, and you're acting like a child when you jumped in Stephen A. Smith. Look, Stephen A. Smith is a jackass. You heard me before I got into this talking about my opinion is Stephen A. Smith.
But for you to go down the bat that you did an alleged professional athlete, how about you suck it up, Buttercup, because you're the one who opened up this door for criticism. You're the one who opened up any criticism of your son because you knew he wasn't ready, Or maybe you didn't. Maybe you were a delusional dad who thought he was better than he was. Maybe I should give you that benefit of that, but you still pushed him in knowing he had minimal experience, knowing that he wasn't even a
starter on his college team. Ronnie James wouldn't be in the NBA, He wouldn't even be in the G League right now if it wasn't for who his daddy was, and it's fair to point that out, and it's fair to have that criticism of it. Again. Lebron James is a man who is extremely gifted in the game of basketball, but he's a stupid person, and he's proven that time and time again, whether it's his bad takes on China
or the multitude of other idiotic things he said. This is just the latest in a long line of his stupidity because he is so enraged that people have an opinion, an accurate opinion of that at what his son's talent level is currently at. Look, maybe Bronni James finds it, maybe he turns into a stellar NBA player, but we're not talking about the future. We're talking about the right now.
And if you take another kid with the same talent level he had and doesn't have a father named Lebron James, not only is he not drafted, he's probably done with the game of basketball for making the idiotic decision to jump to the NBA despite the fact he barely played in college. This is Lebron's fault and he's not even a true man because he has to jump in a journalist's face because they spoke the truth. He wants to get all butt hurt and have his feelings hurt. Sorry,
but you've been in this league for how long? Maybe you should have a little bit thicker skin there. Buttercup, I can tell you this. You might be bigger than me, you're probably stronger me, but you're not gonna jump in my face like that. And I think if Stephen A. Smith had to do over again, he wouldn't let you jump in his face like that either. You're an absurd small individual despite all the talent that God granted you
in the game of basketball, and you're so insecure. This confidence of you boldly proclaiming that you're the best who ever did it is all in act because you're just an insecure little boy playing a child's game for a living, who knows you're coming to the end of the rope. Despite how well you may still be playing. Your career has fewer years ahead of it and you know that. And you have no clue what you're gonna do next, because as I said before, you're not a bright man.
Does that mean should I should? I say it quite so harsh. I'm sorry, but I think I should, because quite frankly, you just need to You need to suck it up. Buttercup.
