Mole was recording yesterday morning's morning Coffee, some breaking news came out that isn't or it shouldn't be a shock, but it kind of is considering how most politicians generally act when there's a scandal around, and that's the announcement that Minnesota Governor Tim Walls announced that he is dropping

his bid for a third term as governor of the state. Again, this is coming following his massive criticism that we have seen from this ongoing welfare fraud scandal in which the Somalian government meant was able to secure a lot of money from fake daycares. There's even been folks going around and checking out these fraudulent daycares and proving that there

are no children there. It's one of those things that this is the right move for Tim Walls because he doesn't need to be governor ever again, and he has proven to be a political liability for his party, not just his abysmal performance as the running mate for the already terrible candidate that was Kamala Harris. He was supposed to be the one that elevated her, and he became another anchor on her already fleeting shot at being elected in the first place. But now because of this massive

welfare assistance fraud scandal, he is gone. Whiles, in his statement, said the political gamemanship we're seeing from Republicans is only making that fight harder to win. When talking about running for governor, he said, but as I reflected on this moment with my family and my team over the holidays, I came to the conclusion that I can't give a

political campaign my all. Every minute I spend defending my own political interest would be a minute I can't spend defending the people of Minnesota against the criminals who prey on our generosity and the cynics who prey on our difference. I love how he blames the scandal on Republican game

meanship there in the statement. I mean, how utterly ridiculous and self delusional do you have to be to understand that the reason why this is being being pointed out because it happened under your watch, It was your administration. But he doesn't want to accept that it's all just Republicans trying to target him. So yes, he finished his statement with, so I've decided to step out of the race and let others worry about the election while I

focus on the work. Well, please focus on the work, probably for the first time in your time in the governor's mansion, because obviously you weren't focused on the work in the first place, or this scandal wouldn't have happened. Oh my bad, Timmy. I guess that's just me having political gaymanship and not actually stating the fact that this has happened on your watch. It's crazy when you sit back and you think about this, I mean, it's crazy.

More than ninety people, most from Minnesota's large Somali community, have been charged since twenty twenty two, and what has been described as the nation's largest covid Era scheme. How much money has been stolen through alleged money laundering operations involving fraudulent meal and housing programs, daycare centers, Medicaid services is still being tabulated, but the US Attorney in Minnesota said the scope of the fraud could exceed one billion.

That's billion with a pe people. But you're right, you're right, Tim, this is just political gamemanship. We shouldn't be criticizing your administration for allowing this to happen on your watch. We should just be quiet because you're a nice guy. We shouldn't call you out because you're Tim Walls, the nicest gow on the planet. Collie g Shucks, Wally Chillickers. We just can't seem to say anything bad about the all

shucks Midwesterner that is Tim Walls. He's just well Collie Gee's we've got to be nicer because I mean, they'll just listen to him. Tim, you are a bad governor. Your legacy will forever beat this scandal. Your legacy will forever beat this fraud. There's nothing you can do or say that will change that. Your decision to not run for a third term, which quite frankly, I think it's silly that Minnesota allows you to run for a third term,

but that's Minnesota's choice. But your decision to not run for a third term is not because of Republican gamemanship. It's because of a failure to lead. You need to accept that. You need to understand that this happened on your watch. It happened while you were in office, and

it is a real, real thing. Now. I'm sure this will be a topic on the Flagship Show recorded later this week, but I couldn't sit back and not go ahead and record my thoughts on Tim Walls as I was seeing the news break Monday morning, even though I had already put out morning coffee for Monday, I had to come on because again, the delusional, self absorbed energy in trying to blame this on Republican gaymanship is just

so absurd. The fraud happened. You guys weren't doing enough in terms of the checks and balances to make sure that you were going to move this in the correct direction. You weren't making sure that this money was being spent appropriately. And no, I have no sympathy for you having to

not run for a third term, no sympathy whatsoever. It's the right move from a decency standpoint, because based on the fact that there was a possibility of a one billion dollar fraud happening in your state, you're not fit to lead their clown and guess what you're going to lose anyway, that's the real reason you're not running. You don't want to take the l This has been morning Coffee with the Right Side and I'm your host, Jack Fairchild's and we're a part of the Midnight Ride Network.
