Escape tomorrow rubber Resort. Since I now work for a newspaper that every edition has a thumbs up thumbs down, which I love that I loved it before I started working there. That is always been something that everybody gravitates towards. Everybody wants to see the latest thumbs up thumbs down that is featured in the Laurel Leader Call. But that gave me an idea too, to do my own thumbs up thumbs down for this morning's edition of Morning Coffee.
You see, you always want to find something that you can praise, but then something that leaves a bad taste in your mouth. And if you can connect the two, that's an even better win for a thumbs up thumbs down. Well, from my thumbs up, I want to give a thumbs up to Elon Musk and Doge for the amounts of just waste that they have uncovered from our government in
just a short amount of time. It's remarkable how much they've been able to uncover things that shock us when we hear about them, like DEI programs in the Middle East. Sending condoms to Iran, Iraq or wherever they were sending them. Is insane that our tax dollars have gone to this type of crap for so long, and thank goodness that Elon Musk and Doge have figured it out a way to uncover this waste, to report it, and hopefully we
will see that waste go away. Hopefully we will see that waste get thrown out and return to us, the taxpayers, because I think that's the entire point of Doge and seeing them dig and look at the books and see exactly how bad off it is, it has been very eye opening and there's more to come. I'm sure there'll be way more waste that Doge is going to uncover, and it has been nice to see for sure. So thumbs up to Elon Musk and Doge for uncovering this wast. Now,
what about a thumb's down. Thumbs down goes to all all these politicians who are patting Elon Musk and Doge on the back. I'm mainly talking about you Republican politicians who have served for years and did nothing about this waste. You knew about it because you voted for it. You knew about it, and you didn't do anything to prevent it. But now because Elon Musk and Doge are getting a lot of praise from the public. You want to be seen on X or Facebook, or on television or wherever
it is. You want to be seen as someone who's saying an adaboid musk. Oh my goodness, thank god we have Doge now. The sad reality is you could have been doing this job for years now and we needed Doge in the first place. You could have looked at
the bills that you were voting for. You know, those massive spending bills that were longer than warm Peace, those bills that you, in many cases might have blindly voted for, but in many others you probably one knew that that waste was in there, and yet when it came time for a vote, you said, ay, you voted for it. I don't want to hear you congratulating Doge for uncovering your dirty, rotten secrets. I don't want to hear you pretending that you're excited now because we have someone to
find this. I want to hear you apologize. I want to hear you take the responsibility because again you there, this could have been prevented by each and every single one of you self congratulating politicians. But you're not gonna do that because you now have figured out that you can stand there and pretend that you are one hundred percent on board with Elon Musk, that you are one hundred percent on board with Donald Trump. All why ignoring
the fact that you voted to spin this waste? All why ignoring the fact that for decades you could have done something. You could have prevented it, You could have uncovered it because you had the bills right there in front of you, But you were getting something for taking advantage of the system, So you definitely weren't going to be the one to expose it. And I'm sure behind closed doors you're not very happy be with mister Musk
or Doge for what they're uncovering. But because like most little snakes that politicians are, you are now trying to run into the shadows of Elon Musk. You're going to try to run back there and pretend that you didn't know this was happening. And they thank God that we've got Donald Trump to a point Elon Musk and create Doge in the first place, because we would we would
have never known. No, you did know. The American people would have never known, but you did know, so no, I don't want to see your post patting Elon Musk on the back. I don't want to see you praising Doge for finding things that you knew were there and did nothing to stop. You get my thumbs down, and I think it is very well earned thumbs down, because
you know what you were doing. But now because you got that R by your name, you think you can just run behind Musk and hide, and sadly, it'll probably work with the majority of the voters because it usually does. But those of us who've been watching for a while, we know the truth, and we know that you didn't lift a single finger to stop or unearth any of this waste that Doage is finding. So for that you get Morning Coffee's thumbs down. And this has been Morning
