The flash floods that hit Texas over the weekend are still something that a lot of us are trying to wrap our head around, especially when you see that there was a camp there, this camp mystic that we saw several children washed away from and a loss of life. The death toll has reached over a hundred. Folks are looking for someone to blame. There's constant talks while they still are out there looking to see who they might
be able to rescue. It's a tragedy and it's one that with all the questions, could it have been avoided, We just don't know at this point in time, and we may never know. It is definitely a sad thing to be following. There is a growing sense of doom, especially knowing that we already have a death toll over a hundred and are expecting it to rise. That's the reality,
we're expecting it to rise. I think at this point in time, trying to place blame, because of course Democrats want to place blame on Trump or wherever they can. But at this point in time, we need to try to focus on the efforts to clean up, the rescue efforts, even though as days pass seem more and more futile that you're not going to find folks during this exhausting search. But we need to be praying, We need to be
keeping our faith in these difficult old times. It's not easy, of course, because especially when you deal with a camp that had children at it. I think that's the part that floors almost all of us. If you're have any decency, any sense of humanity, you hear about the loss of children. There are those out there questioning should these summer camps have been evacuated before this happened. And the thing about flash flooding is when it happens, it happens, and you
never truly know how bad it is. It's going to be. It's devastating, especially for the families, because no parent should have to outlive their children. It's going to be studying for those who lost their child. Maybe we should take it a little bit of time before we start pointing the finger and play and blame in doing this. Let's take a little bit of time and be human for a minute, and let's just pray for a healing hand.
There'll be plenty of time for the blame game. There'll be plenty of time trying to figure out who didn't do what. For now, let's focus on our efforts to see what we can find. Let's focus on the efforts and our prayers that there's some way, somehow more survivors that we just haven't found yet. It's one of those things that, again is unimaginable to people that were swept away. One minute, everything's fine, next minute, there's water all around you.
It's in these moments too, where we can sometimes stop and question our faith. There are moments like this will stop and will question God about why something like this could happen. But the reality is we shouldn't go down that path. We should just stop and pray, pray for calling, pray for survivors, Pray for the families who've already received the terrible news. It's through prayer. It's through our faith that we can get through even the most difficult times.
It's through our faith that we will be able to keep moving forward. Yes we believe, Yes we believe that God can place a calming hand around us in these difficult times and help us. That's where we have to go. It's this is not the time for political gamemanship. This is not the time for placing blame on a political party, on a politician in particular. This is the time to
be praying for our neighbor. These tragedies, these floodings, are historic tragedy and we just need to focus on being there for each other for a change, instead of using another strategy to further drive a wedge between the two warring political classes.
