Are you a once every four year voter. Are you one of those individuals that only pays attention when it comes time for a presidential election. Are you one of those people that couldn't be bothered to vote in your local state and city elections. Are you one of those people that only shows up to the polls when it comes time to pick the next president. Are you one of those people that believes that merely by electing the president that shares the political party

that you support, you're going to somehow save this country. Because if you are, I've got news for you. You're not. I've got news for you. You're part of the problem. Don't get me wrong. Presidential elections like the one we're facing this year are very important. You absolutely should pay attention, You absolutely should get involved. But that shouldn't be the end of your activism. That shouldn't be the end of your engagement in the political process.

We need everyone to start to focus on every political race, every race, no matter how big or small you think it is. Presidential elections they carry a lot of importance and they get so much media attention. I mean, basically, we start talking about who's going to be the next president, the moment the election ends. We need people to be more engaged than just on political just on presidential elections. The once every four year voters think that

they're doing this grandeed and that they're somehow going to save this country. But they're not going to do anything if they stay at home during their state elections. They're not going to do anything if they're not paying attention to what their US senator and their US congressmen are doing. These are the very people that will show up and vote for the incumbent merely because they recognize his name, or because well, you know what, he's always been there, so he

must be doing a good job. Now, what you should be doing is looking at the record and seeing are they doing a good job or are they playing the game. You're probably going to be shocked at what you find. The ones every four year voter. They are a major problem in our country.

They're a major reason why we've started to go downhill. There was a time in our nation where people paid attention, where people were more engaged in the political process, when people understood that they had to pay attention to their Senate races, to their House representative races, to their governor's races, to their lieutenant governor's races, to the people that they're putting in the state Senate,

to the people that they're putting in the state House representatives. They understood that they needed to pay attention to the people they're electing to their city council, to the people they're electing to their school boards, to the people they're voting to be their mayors. But we've changed from them because now we can't be bothered. There's too much on television. There's too much on my smartphone that I can watch. I get instant gratification there, So why should I

bother to look up the voting record of a politician. I'll get involved when we come around for a presidential race, because that'll be enough. But it hasn't been. If you look back and you see how many years Republicans have held the White House, and they've held the Senate, and they've held the House of Representatives, and yet we didn't do anything to curve spending. Matter of fact, we grew spending. We didn't do anything to grow conservative values.

No, we compromised with Democrats and gave them basically what they we want. It. This happened because you don't care to pay attention. This happened because you want to maintain this idiotic idea of being a once every four year voter. This is why we're in the state we're in. Look, I get it. There's so much that you have going on in your life. You've got kids, they're playing sports, they're in the marching band, they're doing cheerleading, whatever it is. You have so much on your plate.

But how about you take fifteen thirty minutes out of your day to go check on things and understand what these people that you are electing or doing. And no, no, you're not electing leaders. You're electing representatives. And when these representatives are voting counter to your interest, you need to make sure they

don't stay in that office. If the once every four year voters got engaged the rest of the time the other three years, if they got engaged the way that they do in a presidential election, we could change this country overnight. If the once every four year voters got engaged in the three years that they're sleeping, we could push back. We could change so much. Conservative

values could finally start to gain traction. If the once every four year voters understood that a president can only do so much, and that they could do so much more if they started to pay attention in these other three years and to these other races that they deem irrelevant for whatever reason. You can elect Donald Trump this year, and if you send him up there and he's surrounded

by nothing but swamp dwellers, we're gonna get more of the same. It's just gonna be branded with an R next to it instead of a D. That's not good enough. People. If you are listening to this and you are a once every four year voter, the challenge is out there for you to start to engage in the process. The challenge is out there for you to start to pay attention during the three years that you usually don't. And if you start to do this, we could truly make a difference and change

this country for the better. This has been morning Coffee with the Right Side, and I'm your host, Jack Fairchilds, and we're a part of the Midnight Ride
