I wanted to take a moment this morning with morning coffee to talk about another endeavor that I've started. I am now part of a new podcast. It is a part of the Laurel Leader Call Broadcasting network. It's called Missing Link Jones County, in which I'm the co host alongside my co worker Josh Nichols. In it, we're going to be talking with that Windom of the Jones County Sheriff's Department about several cold cases and trying to see if we can help shine a light and help find
a way to get these cases solved. We have released one episode, with the second episode releasing on Thursday. You can find it on all the major podcatchers out there because we can. We are already on all of them, and it's really in truly an interesting show. The first episode, I will apologize in advance, we had some equipment issues where there is a echo that goes through. The second episode we recorded yesterday, which we'll release on Thursday. It
sounds much better. It is a It sounds like it's a post to sound, and that is the best thing I can tell you at the moment, because the audio is just much better. And I also think that the second episode, the two cases that we cover in that one are very interesting, and I think that it's going to be something that those of you who are true crime junkies who love finding new true crime podcasts will
probably enjoy this one a lot. So I wanted to take that moment to push Missing Link Jones County, the new podcast from the Laurel Leader Call in which I am the host along with Josh Guru Nicholas. Now Josh being the number one Mike, I'm the number two mic on this show, which suits me fine. I have more than enough shows in which I have to be front and center, so I'm always happy, excited and willing to take a step back and be the backup as far as it goes. But it's exciting and I'm looking forward
to seeing how this thing grows. Maybe we'll find other counties areas in the state of Mississippi that want to
reach out to us and expose their cold cases. I don't know, but that is one of the things that we're hoping with this podcast as we continue to grow it, that maybe we will expand beyond Jones County, because again, if we run out of cold cases one area, there's always going to be somewhere else where there can And then, of course the thing about cold cases being that they can be reopened at some point in time, so even if we run through the ones that that currently has,
we can we can come back around to some other ones that he might open up down the road. So we're looking forward to it. Of course, the show is only coming out once every two weeks, so it's not a weekly podcast. It's not a daily podcast. It's a biweekly podcast. So make sure once you get on there and find it that you subscribe to it on your podcatcher of choice, because that way, whenever we put out an episode, you don't have to remember that this is
the release date. You will receive a notification that we've released a new episode. To make a point to go and like the new or subscribe to the new episode. We don't have a missing link Facebook page yet. I don't know if that's in the cards, but of course we are definitely advertising the podcast in the paper. We're also pushing forward the podcast wherever we can. But it's
fun and of course too. While we're doing programming announcements, we had the return of Chris McDaniel's America on Sunday. We finally were able to get Chris back in studio, get the show back. That is going to be the episode for this week. Next week we're hoping to get back on track to where we're doing the show on Thursdays, so that way we can get back to a regular routine.
Due to chris'sun's run in the baseball playoffs in high school, that kind of put us behind the eight ball a little bit as far as being able to be as consistent, and then this week Chris had some work do so it was just easier, let's go ahead and do it on Sunday. We can broadcast a return episode, but at the same time, we're also making a point of getting something out there and letting the listeners know that that
show's not going away anytime soon. It's still a labor of love for both of us, and as long as Jim is willing to keep the Midnight Ride running and going, Chris McDaniels America will be around. So we're looking forward to that. So again, folks, if you're a fan of podcasting and you like true crime podcast go check out Missing Link Joe County. The new episode will drop on Thursday.
The first episode, the premiere episode is still up, so you can go check it out as well today, and of course, if you've not already done so, go check out the new episode of Chris McDaniels America. As we get back into the routine and the weekly rhythm that you guys enjoy, I will say I'm sure at some point you'll get a healthy dose of myself and Jim Sigelski because Chris's schedule still is going to be Chris's schedule, but we won't be compounding by the fact that Chris's
son is playing baseball. I'm covering said baseball games, So I think we're about to get back to a little bit of a sense of normalcy when it comes to the scheduling, so looking forward to that. So again, check those out today. This has been morning Coffee with the Right Side and I'm your host, Jack Fairchilds and we're a part of the Midnight Ride net work. This show has been brought to you by Pearl River Casino and Resort,
