Escape to par River Resort. In my home state of Mississippi, we are now facing some legislative redistricting because of the failed leadership of Lieutenant Governor Delbert Hoseman. Hoseman, as you know, is a Democrat posing as a Republican. We've known that for some time. He is a very vindictive individual. We've
seen that countless times. And this entire mess that has been created that is causing them to draw redistricting for Senate districts ten different Senate districts districts one, two, ten, eleven, nineteen, thirty four, forty one, forty two, forty four, and forty five.
All of this was caused after a federal three judge panel ordered the supermajority Republican Mississippi legislator to draw and adopt new state legislative district maps during the twenty twenty five session as sub and then hold special elections to fill those seats. That order came after Mississippi's NAACP filed a lawsuit challenging the twenty twenty two legislative redistricting plan
adopted by lawmakers. It is absurd that we're in this mess, especially considering the fact that Delbert Hosman forced these through, and he drew these lines as part of his political retribution against Senator Melanie Sojourner went on to her social media platform on Facebook and posted that Delber Hosman is felled miserably at his legislative redistricting responsibilities from the beginning. It cost many in the state their representation and a
lot of money, a lot of wasted money. Had he not been so focused on his personal attacks on me and the people of southwest Mississippi in twenty twenty two, maybe he would have been more focused on making sure he got it right the first time. That year, after Delbert's team presented us a map that did away with our Senate district by law, I was given the opportunity to present an al alternative maps. I presented his team
with three versions that would protect our district. They told me they wouldn't consider them because my maps had not been vetted by the legal authorities and would be challenged by the courts. They said THEIRS had been vetted and would not be challenged. Well before the ink dried on THEIRS, a lawsuit was filed and they were ordered to draw again. Of course, this didn't happen until after the last election had already occurred. So just yesterday the Missippi Senate finally
saw and voted on their new maps. Mind you, the House did this the first week of January. Now there will be special elections later this year, impacting ten Senate districts, roughly one fifth of the state will have to vote again. Looking at the voting records and quotes from some of those closest to Delbert, it is once again shows that hypocrisy is what they do best. Again. Delbert Hosman and his Republican cronies, who again want to pretend that they're
these conservatives, have failed us once again. In Hoseman's goon squad. They wanted to protect Hoseman's plan and cost Senator sojourn Or her political career. It was done this way because Sojourner saw revenge as more important than doing his damn job. I applaud Senator Sojourner for calling this out yet again, although of course the damage had already been done to
her at this time. But this is what we got out of Delbert Hoseman, and there were several of us that tried to warn you of what a clown this guy was. You didn't want to listen, And this year you may look up and see that you're going to be represented by a Democrat because Hoseman didn't do his job right the first time. Maybe you'll finally wake up and stop voting for this clown. I'm appalled, I'm annoyed. My current Senate district is one of the ones facing
redrawn lines and the potential of a special election. It is beyond frustrating because this was so avoidable. Her alternative could have been vetted. They claimed that theirs was vetted, which it clearly was not. They said her alternative maps they would clearly not pass a challenge, they would be sued and these maps wouldn't work. But ours, well, we vetted them, so they're going to be good. That was a lie. People. They didn't vet those maps. They knew
what they were doing. They were trying to make sure that they cost Senator Sojourner her career. This is an outrageous failure of duty on behalf of Lieutenant Governor Delbert Hoseman and the Hoseman goon squad that put these maps out in the first place. They knew they had a problem. They knew these maps hadn't been vetted, despite their lives that they had, and here we are now facing more cost as we're going to be staring down the barrel
of special elections in our state. We're going to see Republicans losing seats all because Delbert Holsman saw revenge and vengeance and petty personal grudges against Senator Sojourner as far more important of ask than actually going through and doing
their damn job. It's high pastime that we start that we keep looking at that r beside their name and thinking that they have your best interest in heart, and start looking at their actual records, because I can assure you that we need to fleece ourselves of several of these bad Republican actors in the Mississippi legislature. This is ridiculous, it's absurd, and it was completely avoidable. And Delbert Hoseman once again shows he is a failure and even worse
that he is a fraud.
