Escape tomorrow Rubber Resort. So last week we didn't record a flagship show, nor were we able to record any additional morning coffees after Wednesday, and this morning I figured i'd explain while we took the rest of the week off. There was no illness, no tragedy or anything to that effect.
But as you know, I recently went back into journalism and started working at the Laurel Leader call Well, one of the things that I'm going to start doing for them, in addition to reporting, is helping deliver the papers, and that will be a couple of nights a week. Eventually it'll only be one night a weak But because of when you have to do this route and how long the route was, it took its toll on me. And again last week I was just training. I wasn't even
driving the route. Basically, for those of you who don't know, this is not like a paper boy route. This is not a route that you just drive around and throw papers out to certain neighborhoods. This is not a route that you wake up at five point thirty or so, go get it done and then have the rest of
your day. No, this is a route that you have to begin when the papers are delivered to us at the post office, and you have to deliver it to several post office you have to deliver it several dollar generals, you have to deliver it to several herb stores, different things of that nature. And it's going to take, especially when I started myself, probably between eight to ten hours to get done. Now, the person that was training me, who had been doing it for years, he was very
efficient at it. He could have it done in seven I'm not going to be able to do that when I first get started, because it's going to be different, and it's probably not going to begin until seven point thirty eight o'clock at night before you're even able to start on your route. And then that means you're going to finish two, three, four in the morning, and then of course you still have a job that you have to do. So it's going to be taxing for a little while at least until the body gets used to
it and things like that. And last week it took its toll to where I just didn't have the energy to record the Flagship Show and I just decided to take the rest of the week off. That doesn't mean there weren't big stories that happened. Yes, I one hundred percent saw that Mississippi Lieutenant Governor Delbert Houseman passed out, fainted, whatever you want to call it, on the Senate floor.
I did see that Republicans once again showed that they had no backbone when it comes to cutting spending, especially the two Mississippi senators and Wicker and Hyde Smith who both voted against the Rand Paul Amendment to curb spending. But those things are something that we'll talk about in future episodes, probably on the Flagship episode when it returned
Burns later this week. But I felt like I wanted to take this particular morning coffee just to explain what was going on why we decided to pump the pause, go ahead and pump the brakes and pause the production last week. I do hope that we will have content out every day that we're supposed to this week, but I'm not going to make promises because again, this delivery route responsibility is still a new thing. So that's the other reason why I wanted to go ahead and let
my listeners, let my audience know why it is. Because if it happens again this week, you'll understand one thing I will promise you is I will have a flagship episode. This week there will be a numbered episode out. Another announcement is the numbered episodes will no longer be featuring the number in the front of the episode. You can distinguish them from the morning coffees very simply by just looking at the logo that is used, and then you'll
know it's the flagship. Spreaker showed me that I can label the episode numbers within Spreaker itself, so that can be done internally and I don't have to have the numbers on there, because it was brought to my attention that having episode numbers in the title can hurt your agorithm. So as a result, I am going to be moving away from that and over time because it's going to take a little while because there's so many episodes the right side that I have to go through and do
it on. But over time I'll start removing the episode numbers from the titles of the other other shows. But I did want to again let you know so when you see that change, you'll understand when you no longer see E whatever number it is in front of it, that that is a change that we're making. That is supposed to help improve our reach, so that's why we're making that change. Also, of course, if you have not checked out last week's Chris McDaniel's America, which we put
out on Friday, please check that out. I think it's one of our best episodes to date, a lot of information that we got to cover in that particular episode, So please check out Chris McDaniel's America as soon as
you can, because I think it's another stellar episode. I know morning coffees a lot of times we talk about a particular subject, we give our opinion on a particular bit of news, but this morning I felt like I wanted to do a little bit of house cleaning and keep my listeners my audience informed of what's going on, especially if you see a gap between shows and we're outside of our normal, our normal broadcasting schedule, and we hope to get it back to the normal schedule as
things become more normal, but for now, just bear with us. The Right Side's not going anywhere. Nothing is going to change from that standpoint, but there may be a couple of gaps if I need a little bit more rest because I was out all night delivering papers. Anyway, this has been morning coffee with the Right Side, And I'm your host, Jack Fairchild's and we're a part of the Midnight Ride Network. This show has been brought to you by Pearl River Casino and Resort
