Speaker 1

It is debate week here in America as we finally get to see the first new presidential debate. Technically this would be the second presidential debate, but remember the first one featured the guy who actually earned the Democratic nomination for President of the United States. Now we have to have a new debate with the woman who was gifted the nomination after the party forced poor crazy Uncle Joe off the ballot. So now we get to see Kamala Harris Donald Trump one oh one. That's going to happen

this week. We get to sit down and finally see these two go head to head. There's going to be a lot of hooplah at the end of the night. Both sides are going to claim victory. We've already seen that the Democrats are going to try to use the Republican's playbook, you know, the playbook that they utilized successfully against Joe Biden. Now they're going to use it against Donald Trump. They're going to try to illustrate that it

is Donald Trump now who is having a cognitive decline. Trump, on the other hand, needs to hammer Kamala Harris on the fact that she keeps flip flopping positions. He needs to hammer Kamala Harris on the fact that she was against before she was four fracking. He needs to point out the fact that she now is endorsing his policy ideas and trying to pass them off as her own. The rules are going to be the same as the

Joe Biden debate. The microphones will be muted when it is not your question, which I think personally is a much better way to do these type debates. It is so much better because instead of having two candidates shouting over one another, now we can't hear the other one. So when it's your time to shine, you're either gonna shine or your bulb's gonna burn out. That's what we're going to see. I think that was the best part

of the first debate. Hopefully the second debate will also follow the moderation style that we got from the first debate. In that first debate between Trump and Biden, the moderators stayed out of the fray. If somebody says something that might be false, it is not the moderator's job to correct it. It is his opponent's job to correct it. That is the key to winning a debate. If a

moderator interjects themselves then you're seeing their biased. There are gonna be a lot of questions tonight about whether or not the ABC moderators or not tonight but later this week, whether or not the ABC moderators will stay out of the way of this thing. I'm not sure that they will. I'm not sure that the ABC moderators are going to be able to help themselves, especially after there was criticism

over the last debate. Another key question right now that a lot of people should be asking, something that I think Trump should really hammer her on, is why no press conferences? Why is she only given one very controlled sit down interview where she had to have her running mate Tim Walls there to hold her hand through it. When is she going to sit down and face the media by herself? And if she cannot face the media, then how is she going to face the likes of

Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong Un? How is she going to be able to face these world leaders if she can't even face the big bad American press. It's a legitimate question, and it's something that I don't think the media is ever going to ask, So it's probably going to have to come out in the debate. I look forward to watching it. I don't know if the Right Side will come on with its weekly show live afterwards. We might.

I've got a good feeling that Chris McDaniel's America this week will probably cover a fair amount of the debate. I've got a good feeling that Godden Country will also cover the debate. So the midnight Ride is going to give you a lot of coverage on the debate this week. My question is will America be paying attention? Will the debate be something that the American public actually focused on, because you know, football's back, We've got that shiny distraction

once again. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm a football fan. I enjoy watching football as much as the next person, but I also understand how important other things are we have to prioritize. We can catch up on the football later, but we need to pay attention to this debate, especially if you're undecided. Now, if you're decided, it doesn't really matter because again, nothing the other side is going to say is going to sway you one way or another.

So if you're already decided, then you don't need to watch the debate other than the fact that you will decidedly fall into your little tribal camp yourself, and you will sit back and declare victory even if your side doesn't win. Kamala Harris was not impressive in her brief primary for president back in twenty back in the twenty twenty election. Matter of fact, she dropped out before the first primary because she wasn't impressive and she didn't pull

well afterwards. Will she find the magic or is she going to get up there and have a Biden type moment to where this election gets tipped back in the favor of Donald Trump, if it ever truly was tipped out of his favor, or would the Democrats be successful in painting Trump as the old man that is losing his skills. It's going to be a fascinating debate. If you're not on direc TV, you might get to watch it.

Maybe direc TV and Disney can play nice by then, and maybe everyone will get to see the debate, But who knows we'll see. The good news is there'll be enough places on line that you'll be able to find it no matter what if you are so inclined. So buckle up, America this week. It is going to be a bumpy ride. This show has been brought to you by Pearl River Casino and Resort. And this has been

morning Coffee with the Right Side. And I'm your host, Jack Fairchild's and we're a part of the Midnight Ride Network
