All right, guys, you have found that it is the right Side Radio program.
Here.
We are recording this one on Wednesday, May the fourteenth, twenty twenty five. We are back after last week. We only did the morning coffees, no flagship episode last week. Scheduling is the problem. There was no break really intended. It just you know, one of those things where you're trying to balance everything. As a matter of fact, today's recording is being squeezed between going to cover the South State five or the five A South State Mississippi Baseball
Championship series. Tonight. Our local team South Jones is one went away from earning a trip to the state championship game. That team features our friend Cambridge McDaniel, Chris McDaniel's son, so we're wishing them all the best in going ahead
and closing out that series. Tonight. But because of that, this is probably going to be an abbreviated show tonight, just because again trying to squeeze in last week, because of all the scheduling issues and things that went on, and then equipment malfunctions that I suffered, I just wanted to go ahead and make sure we got something done. And of course there was something in the news that really got me a little annoyed and was something I
wanted to talk about. And I must stay local, to stay with the state of Mississippi this time for my national listeners. But you guys need to be paying attention as well because Delbert Hoseman. If you're a longtime listener in this program, you know my feelings on Lieutenant Governor Delbert Hoseman. He's a terrible person. He is a Democrat in every sense of the word. He's a vindictive, mean individual who has sold himself to the people of Mississippi
as this nice, elderly grandfather type figure. That's not who he is at all. And I'm never going to be a fan for him. I don't care who he's running against or who else is in the race. I will never vote for Delbert Hoseman. And for all the blow howards out there who like to say, well, I could never vote for a Democrat, then they line up and vote for Hoseman just because he has an or by his name. I got news for you, buddy, You voted
for a Democrat. Delbert Hoseman is seventy seven years old, and he just recently, I think, either yesterday or the day before. I think it was the day before, he came out and said that he intends to run for governor of the state in Mississippi, effectively ensuring that he'll be Mississippi's own Joe Biden by the time he's done, especially if he's elected. Now, look, even if I liked Delbert Hosman, I would be arguing against electing anyone that's seventy nine eighty years old.
This is not.
A position that he should even be seeking. Yet again, selfish people who only know one thing in life, and that's being in a political office. That's the way they see it. They see it that it's his divine right. He's always wanted to be governor, so the fact that he is ill equipped through age to do it, that's not going to stop them. Again, this is the same Lieutenant governor, the same Delbert Hoseman who just a couple of months ago passed out on the Senate floor in
a scary moment. Again my differences aside, I don't want to see anything like that happen. But this goes back to one of the very points that I've talked about multiple times on this show, that we've got to stop electing fossils. We have to stop electing people that are past seventy five years old for the longest time. Or One of the things that I think we need to push forward is a age cap. Once you hit a
certain age, you can't run for re election. Again, we already have an age minimum, so why not put a cap on it. Hoseman's policies are enough for me to argue against this man ever being elected to another office. But his age alone means that he shouldn't even be considering running. But of course he is, because this is all about Delbert wanting to make sure he gets that title. This is the same Delbert Holseman that fought us on multiple issues. He was a friend of the transgender community.
We know that.
We've heard it from them themselves. I think I probably still have the audio clips somewhere, but I'm not going to dig back to it. You can go find it. On a previous episode. Holseman is a left leaning Republican. He is essentially a Democrat. The Republican Party instead of condemning his decision and saying that because of his policy,
they won't say a word. The state wide party will stay quiet and if Delbert Hoseman is elected, they'll rally behind him in the general election, not understanding that all they're doing is destroying their brand when they elect a train wreck like Hoseman. Hoseman does not need to be in the governor's mansion. He doesn't need to be where he's sitting right now. He needs to come home. It's long pastime for his retirement. Is long pastime for that
clown to get out of office. If Mississippi is dumb enough to elect Delbert Hoseman again, this time for the governor's mansion, then they are effectively adopting their own version of Joe Biden. Look, I don't care even if I agreed with his policies. Once you hit a certain age, you start to have mental decline. It's just the nature of aging. I'm not being mean when I say that
I'm just stating a fact. And here we have Hosemen, despite the fact that he's already seventy seven years old, despite the fact that he collapsed on the Senate floor earlier this year, we already have him talking about running for governor. We know a couple of the names that are going to challenge him. Of course, State Auditor Sad White is one. We've heard the state Attorney General Lynn Fitch,
who I equally have certain issues with as well. But those are the names, and there are other names, but I'm not going to go through that because I just don't care to get into the list of who might because again we don't know yet outside of Hoseman, who's come out and said I'm running. But I can say this that any option, including a Democrat, would be a
better option than Delbert Hoseman. And for those of you who think that I'm foolish for saying that even a Democrat would be a better option Delbert Hoseman, the reason being is when bad liberal policies get pushed at least, then the Democrats are going to be the ones that have to take ownership of it. Holsman's time as Lieutenant governor. He has gotten the weak need members of the Senate to fall in line and push a liberal agenda. He got everything he wanted when it came to this phasing
out of the state income tax. Again, when you look at that bill on its surface, despite the record surpluses the state of Mississippi currently has, they want us to wait fourteen years before they phase out the state income tax, but they're going to go up on our gas tax immediately, which is what Hoseman always wanted. He never wanted the income tax away, but he wanted to raise your gas tax, and he found a way to do it, and he got the Republican Party to celebrate it by claiming it's
ending the income tax. And it might eventually, but it probably never will. But you know what will happen. Your gas taxes are going up, and it's all being done under the guys. We've got to make sure we have funds for the infrastructure. You've got the funds for the infrastructure. You already had it. You just hid behind it. You hid behind this false claim that you need more of our money. You can't look at areas to where you
want to cut spending. You can't look at areas where you might could save a dollar here to give us one of our own dollars. Pack that was too much to ask. So that's the big thing happening in my state at the moment, is Hoseman considering this run for governor despite the fact he's already way up there in age.
I know there's going to be a certain pack of those establishment wing Republicans that are going to come out and just jump on board with Hosemen, but they're ones that should never trust in the first place, because again, all you have to look at is the things that the Senate has tried to push through and the conservative pieces of legislation that they've killed during the time that
Delbert Hoseman has been Lieutenant governor. And you will see firsthand that Delbert Hoseman is a liberal Democrat despite having it are next to his name. It's who he's always been, it's who he always will be. So yes, of course, I was going to talk about Mississippi own Joe Biden, because that's what Hoseman is. He is our version of Joe Biden. The only difference is Biden at least had the decency to be honest with people and be a Democrat.
Hoseman's not because he understands the dynamics in the state of Mississippi is that he must be a Republican in order to win a statewide race. But he'll be one of the very ones that will push us back to the Democrats, because when we're electing Republicans that are putting forth liberal ideas, all it's going to do is eventually make people lose faith in the Republican brand as a whole. There already several people out there who have lost faith
in the Republican brand as a whole. I'm one of them. I'm one of them. I don't believe in Mississippi Republicans. I believe in certain individuals, but I don't believe in the Mississippi Republican Party. It's part of the reason why I left it, because it's fake, it's phony. It's all about getting numbers and nothing about actual policy or principle. And that's at my age. I'm not joining a political
party to be your friend. I'm not joining a political party so I can get invited to the cocktail parties. I'm joining a political party because I want to make sure that my interests are being pushed forward. And when I look at a political party like the Republican Party that has this wonderful looking platform, it gets you excited, and then you examine how little they follow their own actual platform, and then you start questioning why should I do?
Why should I be a part of this? The sad reality is the only way the Republican Party is ever going to wake back up in the state is if they take a loss or two. Even then they'll probably find somebody else to blame. They won't look in the mirror and say that it's because we start to acting like Democrats. So people just decided to stay home and
elect Democrats. Anyway, I don't know if you can ever save the Mississippi Republican Party because there's some truly good people that want to do the right thing, but they're overridden by the truly rotten ones who are at the head of the table. That's the reality, and that's where
we stand today in my home state of Mississippi. Because when Delbert Hosman is the face of the party, when he's the guy that they're trying to put forth as the front runner to be the next governor of the state of Mississippi, that's a problem people, that's a problem.
We had a state senator who proved how unintelligent she was just a couple of weeks ago in an event where she tried to somehow equate the number of visitors that show up at Disney World to a Bruno Morris song that listed Jackson, Mississippi, and tried to say, because it had been viewed in the billions that somehow that translates to that many people coming to Jackson. I hate to break it to you, but that's not how that works. But these are the type people that we're electing. We're
not electing intelligent individuals. We're electing morons, and they'll keep getting elected because you don't pay attention, you don't show up and listen to these things. If they say it in a non election year, it's a it's not even on your radar. You complain about Joe Biden being too old, and yet you'll rally behind delbor Hoseman just merely because he's gonna r by his name. I want consistency. I don't want hypocrisy. I want people that will actually do
the right thing. I want people who are going to stand up and with a bold voice say no, we're not voting for that person. We're gonna go over here. We're going to vote for someone that is actually going to stand on principle, stand on character, and show us who they truly are. Yes, if I sound a little rouled up today because of this Hoseman announcement, I am because I understand that there's so many people out there that aren't going to pay a lick of attention to
anything I'm talking about right now. There's so many people out there that are going to just jump right on board an elect the old man, Delbert the Democrat, because they're not going to even pay attention to the fact that if you watch him, his policies mirror that of Joe Biden. If you watch him, his mental accliment might not be that far off from Joe Biden. I just don't have faith in the electorate. Hopefully they prove me wrong.
We still got time. But I fear because Hostman's probably going to have a healthy war chest because again, too much money goes into these elections. One of the things I've talked about in the past on other shows is I would love to see a campaign salary cap. Once you spend a certain threshold. You're not allowed to spend anymore. That includes pack money, that includes any put a cap
on it. Stop allowing incumbents to be shoe winds to win reelection merely because the fact that they've got that incumbency means that people just flock to throw money in their coffers so that way they can keep them in office. Our elections were never meant to be bought the way that they have become. Our elections were never meant to go in the direction that we see them nowadays. We were supposed to have a voice. It was supposed to
be we the people, not we the richest. The only way that we stop and we kurttail that is to get inventive, come up with a campaign salary cap because I don't see them doing any other way. We have opened the floodgates to assist them. That will always protect the current office holder, no matter how terrible they are. That doesn't mean an incumbent can't be beaten, because they can,
and we've seen it before. But it's going to be lightning in a bottle with the perfect candidate, and that begets harder and harder when all their opponent has to do is show up, put a couple of ads out attacking the challenger, Drop a mailer here or there in your mailbox. You'll read it, you'll fall for it, and you'll go vote for a Delbert Hoseman because, by golly, he sat on a bench with a nice little lady who couldn't get his name right. Enough is enough, people.
I want to see us actively work towards changing the things that we claim we want to change. I want to see consistency. I want to see, even if it's somebody that you like, if they do something wrong, call them out for it, whether it's Donald Trump or someone else, be willing to hold politicians accountable even when you like them. Look here's the other thing, and I want to be very clear on this. It is okay to disagree with politicians you like. That doesn't make you no longer supportive
of them, not even remotely. That just makes you human. If you look at married couples, how often do you think the husband and wife actually agree? I can promise you this. They don't agree on everything. They're going to fight. It's okay if you don't agree will your favorite politician every time? That doesn't make him a bad politician, and it doesn't make you any less of a supporter. But if you just blindly follow anyone, whether it's a party
or an individual, then you're a fool. Because you can't just blindly follow these people. You have to You have to pay attention to what they are doing, and when they're not acting in your best interest, you have to vote against them or speak out against them. If it's a one two time thing and it's just an issue you can disagree on, that's fine. You can still support them, but that you still probably should call them out when
they're wrong in their particular issue. That's simple, people, But we don't want to do that because we want to hero worship these politicians that we put up on these pedestals. We want to hero worship them because it's easier than actively pointing out their faults. We don't want to be wrong either about somebody that we elected, so we'll stick our head in the sand when they do the wrong thing.
That's how people like Delbert Hoseman maintain power. It's because we stick our head in the sand even though every sign that we can see points to him being a train wreck. The other thing I find hilarious why I'm ranting is there are certain individuals in this state. They don't like Donald Trump. That's fine. They're Republicans who just don't like Trump, and they'll constantly be critical of Trump,
but they don't ever say a word about Hoseman. And Hoseman's a true liberal, he's a true threat to conservatism, but they won't They won't say a word there. I will all criticize Trump on this, and if I get proven wrong and Trump gets proven right, I'll remain silent. I'm not going to say I was wrong. But why Delbert Hoseman's out there fighting against conservative values left and right,
they stay silent. They'll call other people hypocrites why they are conveniently ignoring what Delbert's doing, And in my opinion, that makes them the real hypocrites in these situations. They know who they are. I don't have to call them by name. They know who they are. They hate listen
to programs like this because they can't stand being called out. So, yes, Mississippi, when you look up in a couple of years for the next governor's race and you see Delbert Houseman on the ballot trying to run for governor of the state, of Mississippi, say no this time. Don't fall for the silly old lady ads. Don't fall for that nonsense. It's
an act, it's a trick. This is a vindictive man who is well too old to hold the office that he's currently holding, let alone another four years to eight years. This man wants to be eighty seven by the time he leaves the governor's office, because I can promise you this, if he runs for governor, unless he dies in office, he's gonna want to run for reelection. This is ridiculous, This is absurd. This is the type of thing that
we cannot have. People. We have to stand firm. Maybe one of the suggested opponents will separate themselves from the pack and we'll have somebody. My fear is they're going to be multiple names that get themselves on the ballot. Hoseman will end up being the one with the highest name ID and the biggest bank account, and he'll be able to waltz right into the governor's mansion because quite frankly,
you're not going to do enough research. You're gonna have countless people like myself telling you how terrible he is, but you're still gonna show up and vote for him, because again, that's what you do. I won't be active in anyone's campaign that runs against them outside of going and casting my vote. My days of knocking on doors or doing that type of campaigning for individuals are over.
I just can't see myself ever doing that again. But I can tell you this, Mississippi, there will absolutely be better options than Delbert Hosman. There has to be, because he's If he's the best that we've got, then our state's damned to hell. And I'll say it as bold and as strong as possible. If he is the best option that we have, we are one hundred percent damned to hell. And it's that simple. We're going to end
this episode right here. Hopefully next week we'll get back on track with a full hour long edition of The Right Side Radio program, but I wanted to make sure that we've got an episode in this week despite all of the the UH activities going on.
