You tuned into right Side Radio?
All right, guys, you have found it. It is the Right Side Radio show recording this one Thursday, November the thirteenth, twenty twenty five. Folks, I'm your host, Jack Fairchild's and we are about to give you the conservative news here. But as always I like to ask that you like and subscribe to the Right Side Radio show. Remember we're on Apple Podcast, iHeartRadio, Spotify, Spreaker, Amazon Music, and so many more. So make sure that you have subscribed to

Of course, if you heard Morning Coffee this morning, you heard me say that we will be recording live the newest episode of Chris McDaniels America this Sunday, so be sure to check it out. I'm looking forward to asking Chris about the Turning Point USA debate that he had at the University of Southern Mississippi on Tuesday
of this week. Chris sat down and did the Charlie Kirk style debate with students and I'm sure other I'm sure there were some faculty members that showed in, and I look forward to getting to find out exactly how that went, and knowing Chris, it probably went spectacularly well. And I look forward to getting his take on it, and hopefully this won't be the last time that he steps into those shoes and steps foot on a college campus and engages in debate. We need more debate in
this world. We don't need folks to just shut down debate. We don't need people who are just yes men to us, because we need to make sure, especially with young people, that they understand conservatism, they understand our positions. And that's why I think it's important for people like Chris and others to keep Charlie Kirk's legacy alive by continuing to
have these campus debates. So kudos to Chris for agreeing to do it, Kudos to Turning Point Usay's Southern miss Chapter for putting together this debate, and I look forward to hopefully I can attend the next one. That would be spectacular to see this because I know Chris is definitely the right guy for it. I don't know that I would ever be. I'm just being honest with you.
My temperament is one where I get angry sometimes that people that can't see logic, and that frustrates me and keeps me from really and truly wanting to sit behind that desk myself, but somebody like Chris, what the temperament that he has, is the perfect person to sit behind that desk. So I'm really really looking forward to finding out a little bit more about how that all went on. Of course, the big news this week, and by now you've already seen it, you've already heard it.
You know that the.
Longest government shut down in United States history has officially come to an end because we have seen the Democrats, or at least enough Democrats cave. The frustrating part is they voted for the same thing that they could have voted for fifteen times before. They voted for the very thing that had been put forth each and every single time. So it is frustrating. And at the end of the day, did Conservatives win as big as they try to claim, they are, No, because all they did was extend the
Biden era budget. They didn't release anything new, they didn't cut any spending. It's perplexing why the Democrats were so adamantly against it for so long, considering the fact it was their budget in the first place. I think they thought, because they had won every other government shut down that they were going to win this one, that they could just wait the Republicans out look. I said it on the show. I fully expected the Republicans to be the
one to cave. They always do. But something happened as the public opinions started to turn on the Democrats. As the public opinion started to go against them, you saw more and more Democrats get uneasy, and enough of them were uneasy enough that they went ahead and voted for it. It's such a big loss that they're being called out by people like John Stewart. They're being called out by
their own now because this was a failure. Now they still think last week's elections were somehow a referendum that Democrats were back on top, ignoring the fact that the places they won were places they were supposed to win, and in New York City, I would consider that a loss for the Democrats because if somebody like Mandini is going to be the face of the Democrat Party, that's not a good thing for them moving forward. It's certainly not something I think that they want to be their
mainstream brand. But they wanted to poke their chest out and pretend that they did something last week that was merely what was expected to happen. The real battle is going to be next year in those midterm elections. That's going to be where we're going to see a real battle, and if tradition goes the way that it usually does, you'll see Democrats have major wins, probably take back one chamber of Congress, maybe even both. But based on and
stuff like this, maybe they don't. We know what history tells us, but this is a different point in history. And there are a lot of Americans, a lot of ones who have voted Democrat most of their life, who are extremely frustrated with the Democrat Party. They're looking up and seeing a party that doesn't represent what they once believed.
And if you look at some of the fights the Democrats choose to fight, you can understand why because some of the things that they point out, some of the things that they hold dear now are so far extreme that the average American looks at amiss, the crazy party. Now,
the Republican Party has multiple problems of its own. Yes, the Republican Party is a party that has shifted a lot more left, and that's a problem the Republicans are going to have to figure out how to address because if they don't, we're going to look up and that party is going to be not what it once was. That they've got to go back to upholding their platform. Are they insane like the Democrats? No, But are they the perfect haven for conservatives? Absolutely not. Anybody that tells
you otherwise is kidding themselves. So when I look at the government shutdown battle, I don't see a major victory either for the Republicans. I don't see this as something that Republicans should be poking their chest out about, other than the fact that for once, they weren't the party that caved. For once, they were the party that held their ground, and that is extremely unusual for Republicans to have done. I know myself, I know what I want to see happen. I know I want to see the
Republicans actually put forth some cuts. I want to see them actually try to tackle the deficit. I know that's the most boring thing that we can talk about, but the national deficit is one of the most dangerous things in our nation's future. If we don't get a handle on this, it's unsustainable. At some point, we will crash. At some point, we will be facing a major, major dilemma, and it is something we need to be talking about now. Because we need to be making sure that we're understanding that.
You can roll your eyes, you can sit back and say the deficit doesn't matter, but it does. Look at yourself. If you're deep in debt, it makes it harder for you to get alone. It makes it harder for you. And if you can't figure out a way to climb out of that debt hall, you're going to have major issues yourself. The Republicans are the party that is supposed to be for a smaller government, and it's time we
start to see them upholding that mantle. We haven't seen it, and I fear we won't see it because I just have not seen them have the heart to actually try to fight for these changes. Part of the frustration that each and every single one of us has is.
We know.
That we're going to drive off that cliff at some point. Doesn't matter if you're racing towards that cliff like the Democrats won't, with your foot firmly pressed on the throttle, or if you want to race to it the way the Republicans do with the emergency brake pill pulled up, but you're still accelerating towards that cliff. Something has to be done. This government shut down did not lead to anything positive for the Republicans other than, as I said before,
for ones. They're not the ones who blinked. For ones, They're the ones who held their ground. But ask yourself, was this was this something that we should be excited about? And the answers no, The answers no, you still have the Biden budget, you still have the Biden economy. We didn't do anything to fix that, curb that, or do anything new with that till we figure that out, till
we figure out how we can. You know, when Trump first got in office, he had Elon Musk out there and Doge finding areas we can cut, but we couldn't even codify the Doge spending cuts. We couldn't even come up with a policy to cut those wasteful areas. And it was Republicans that killed that. By the way, I'm sure Democrats didn't want it either, but Republicans ultimately voted against it. My two state senators both voted against it. So again, when we are sitting here high fiving because
we won the shutout, the truth is we didn't. The truth is, at the end of the day, there was no real winner at the end of the day, the American people were the ultimate loser because status quo won, and status Quo is still racing us towards that cliff, and at some point we're going to drive right over the top of it. I know you want to feel good. I know you want to sit back and be excited because we won. We won, we won, But we have to be honest. We can't sit back and pretend.
This is some.
Massive victory when it's not. We can't pretend that we should be running around high five in one another when we know the truth. So yeah, take your small, little, meaningless victory that you for ones didn't cave and now
that you didn't cave this time. This is how I can see this whole government shut down debackle being a winning factor for the Republicans if they take this victory and they springboard it into more victories, if they springboard it into victories that give them the guts to stand up to the Democrats and actually pass meaningful cuts. If they use this victory to stand up to the Democrats and actively fight for the very things that they claim
they believe in in their own party platform. But unless that happens, then it was all for not call me a skeptic. Maybe I shouldn't be because they didn't cave this time, but history is on my side. Unfortunately. I really wish it wasn't. I really wish I could come to you with my chest poked out and proud of the shutdown victory.
But I'm just not.
We'll see how things play out as we continue to move forward in the coming weeks and months. We'll see how things continue to progress as everything moves forward in the coming weeks and months. But for now, I'm not a big, big believer that this is going to turn into something big. Of course, this week we also celebrated Veterans Day, and I want to extend migrate gratitude to
those who have served in our military forces. One such person is newly elected Mississippi State Senator Don Hardness, who I like to acknowledge on these because during veteran related holiday, Don likes to stand out there at an intersection just outside of Jackson, Mississippi, holding up an American flag and taking donations for veterans. It was cold here in Mississippi on Tuesday morning, but that did not deter none, as he still went out there, waved his flag and collected
money for these veterans. As a newly elected politician, it could have been it probably would have been better for him to go to a Veterans Day museum, like a celebration like they were having at the Veterans Museum in his home county. But Don made a promise to a World War Two veteran years ago, a promise he doesn't intend on breaking. And this is the reason why he got the mantle of the flag in the first place.
So if you're one of those people out there questioning why he didn't show up at a celebration at a veterans museum, that's why he was actively out there trying to help veterans. Oh and by the way, Don's a veteran himself, So thank you Don Hartness for what you did on Veterans Day. You could have taken the easy path. You could have said, it's too cold this year, I'm going to pack it in. You didn't do that, would never do that, and that's part of the reason why
I'm proud that you were elected. I'm not saying that Veterans Day celebrations aren't important, because they absolutely are. We really should celebrate our veterans more than just one day a year. So yes, the celebrations are important, but if you have something and have the means to actively go out there and help those veterans in need, you absolutely should do that. You absolutely should sit down with those veterans, or sit down, wave your flag, take donations, whatever you
need to do, because that is important. So I wanted to take just a minute there in this particular episode to thanks Don Hartness for what he did and thank him for what he continues to do. And we look forward to you making us proud when you go to Jackson next year for our national listeners. I know you may not know who Don Hartness is, but I hope that he's one of those folks that makes a name there in Jackson, and you'll know who he is very soon.
And if you really want to know more about him, you can go back and listen to earlier episodes where I had Don on. And that's a big thing and something that I wanted to make sure that he got his recommend he got his flowers for what he did. Also this week, Donald Trump went on the Pat McFee show. Now, Pat McFee is a sports guy. He's a sports show. He's not political in any nature, and if you listen to him talk, you don't really hear which way he leans.
My guess would be he's definitely to the left of myself. But his show is about entertainment and he understands that. And it was Veterans Day and he was given the opportunity to interview the President of the United States on his show. McFee was doing a Veterans Day special from
Paris Island. But of course there are several liberals out there who are losing their minds merely because McFee had President Trump on his show, President Trump on Veterans Day, a Veterans Day special show that he was doing from Paris Island. McFee said that he had a lot of people tell them that they were never watching his show again, and well, he decided to tell them to blank off.
He didn't really care what they said, and he did it a whole while being broadcast on the ESPN network, which again is a network that is supposed to be a sports network, but it has turned into a political network. McAfee is not alone in being criticized for having President Trump on. President Trump showed up at a Washington Commander's game. I think it was the Commander's was the Commanders versus the Lions. I think that's who was playing. He showed up in the Fox spooth and called part of the
game or was interviewed during it. I didn't see it, but he was there because again, it was Veterans Day weekend, and he showed up to be a part of that broadcast. And of course there are people criticizing for putting the President of the United States on, and of course it being played in Washington, d C. There were idiots who once they saw there, booed him, flipped him the bird, did all kinds of stupid things. And here's the thing, and I've been very consistent on this, even when the
President wasn't somebody I liked. I'm not a big fan of doing the president here in the United States of America, no matter who's in the office. I'm a firm believer that we're supposed to respect the office itself. I was critical when Barack Obama was booed. I was critical when Joe Biden was booed. I just don't think it's a the right way to handle things. But to each their own. The good thing for somebody like McAfee.
Is.
His show was successful without ESPN, and his show will be successful without ESPN again if he chooses to walk away from ESPN. ESPN gets more from having Pat McFee. That's the reason why he's been able to call out high ranking officials within the network because guess what, McFie doesn't care because ESPN doesn't really offer him anything to make him bigger. He helps them and he recognizes that, so he doesn't back down. He hadn't sold out. It's crazy.
McFee has reached out. He said to Barack Obama to have him on his show. McFee didn't because I guess Obama didn't get back to him. And here's the other thing. If you're a broadcaster and you're not a right wing or left wing broadcaster, you're just a broadcast covering sports, and you get a phone call telling you that you can have the President of the United States on your show, you're telling me you wouldn't do it now a show like mine. Yeah, I probably would turn down a Barack
Obama or Joe Biden. But the Pat McFee show, they weren't going to turn it down. MacFee said, honestly, we got off lucky. It wasn't out of the realm of possibility that Trump would have taken the opportunity to insult
war heroes or publicly to attack others. This is not McFee saying this, but it's just one of those things that just again, when you see stuff like that, where you have liberal commentators saying that they got lucky because he didn't publicly degenerate gold star fans referred to fallen military members as losers, that just shows how bad Trump derangement syndrome is. Trump was never going to do that on veterans State, nor would any other president. Trump actually
does appreciate, appreciate or military. Kudos to Pat McPhee for not just having Trump on, but for standing up to the morons who think that it was bad for him to have. And if you don't want to watch McFee anymore because he had Trump on, that's fine, turn it off. He probably won't miss you. Matter of fact, I know he won't miss you based on his response when it was uttered that he was facing criticism for this. He didn't care. And there's nothing ESPN is going to be
able to do to stop him. There's nothing they could have done. And it's just one of those things where And I haven't watched the full McPhee interview with Trump yet. I watched the beginning of it, but I haven't had a chance to sit down and watch the entire interview. But again, get over yourself if that offends you. He's the president of the United States and it was an opportunity for a broadcaster to have him on his show.
Why wouldn't he? Why wouldn't he. You're the people that say that you want tolerance, but you have no tolerance for anyone with a different political opinion than yourself. You have no tolerance for anyone that might actively believe differently than you. You don't want tolerance, You won't surrender. You're not going to get it for me, and you certainly aren't going to get it from somebody like Pat McPhee
who doesn't need you. It's crazy as we continue to just watch how the left reacts to anything, anything that involves Trump, they have to react a certain certain way. These are the same Democrats that are creating riots at California Berkeley merely because there's a turning point USA event. How's that tolerance working for you? People? It's non existent, and the rest of us know that, and we've known that for quite some time. This is not new news
to us. We need more stuff like this and less nonsensical violent protest that the Left seems to specialize in nowadays. It's crazy people. We're gonna pause right here for a quick commercial break, and we come back. This will probably be the final segment of the show, as I feel my voice getting a little bit rougher, so I'm not sure that I'm going to be able to give a
full hour tonight. But when we get back, we'll try to cover a couple of other stories, wrap this show up in a nice and neat little bow, and then come back to you guys again next week when we want to start all over. But this is not the end of the show yet. This is just merely a commercial break, so you guys stay tuned. We'll be right back. The Midnight Ride the home of the anti establishment movement.
This network features great programming such as Chris McDaniel's America God and Country, The Right Side Radio Show, Paul Revere's Liberty Layer, and many more coming soon. So check out the Midnight Ride today. Head to the Midnight Ride Dot com and check out all the amazing content. All right, guys, welcome back here to the Right Side Radio Show. Here we are, and what will be the home stretch of
the radio show, the final segment of the program today. Yes, I know, next week we want to try to focus on getting back to giving you a full hour long episode. But as you can hear, I'm getting a little bit more hoarse as this show goes on, and that's going to make it a little bit more difficult for me
to try to go through a full hour. That's why I recognized it and decided, you know what, I'm gonna pause right here and find something to wrap this show up, because I think we need to try to go out without me turning into a coughing mess and losing my voice this evening. Those of you who've listened to this program all the way back to the radio day show days know that I sometimes struggle with voice issues, and
it's particularly worse this time of year. Now, it's not as bad as it used to be since it was figured out that a lot of my voice issues were caused by acid reflux, and since I've started taking medication for that, I have not had a broadcast where before the end of the show my voice was almost completely gone. But tonight I don't want to test it. I don't want to find out that that might be the case
again because I understand my limitations. I understand that's a that's interesting, for sure, and that's probably far more information than most of my listeners even cared to hear at this point. Now we need to talk about New York City and it's mayor elect Zoron Mandini, and there is a lot of traders making predictions on the market based on how it's going to go, and most of them are not predicting that it's going to be a great year for the city of New York. And that's no
surprise because the man be a socialist. Policies are a nightmare. Policies are absolutely a nightmare. So yeah, I've seen different again. You can bet on anything nowadays, apparently, and most are not seeing a bright outlook for New York City at the moment. They're even betting on if Mandini might get deported, and that seems ridiculous, that's even a bet. But this whole gambling craze, epidemic, whatever you want to call it,
seems to have gotten out a hand here lately. They're two baseball players with the Cleveland don't call them Indians who both got suspended during the season this year because they were called maybe fixing things. They weren't fixing games, they weren't necessarily throwing the games, but they were helping prop bets. If you don't know what a prop bet is, a prop bet is something like I can bet if the first pitch this pitcher throws is going to be
a ball or strike. That's a dangerous game to play in the world of sports, especially because those type of things can be easily affected by a dishonest player. One of the two players was even seen on camera after he threw a strike getting physically up visibly upset with himself. Now, if he had thrown a ball and he gets visibly upset with himself, that's no red flag there. That doesn't show anything. But when you get upset because you threw
a strike, that's a clear red flag. And apparently that particular day, there had been multiple bets that his first pitch was going to be a ball and he messed it up through strike. That brings me to the question, is all this gambling good? Now we already know that. Yes, if you want to make friendly wagers here or there on team games, sure that's fine. But if you're making bets on very very small things like whether or not the first pitch is going to be a ball or strike,
that's a problem. We don't need that. And if you want to look at the source of who's caused this problem, you can look straight at these professional teams themselves. There are multiple professional sports teams that have sports books in their stadium. If you look at Major League Baseball, who has some of the strictest rules against their players in gambling, it seems utterly absurd.
That you can just.
Walk a little bit further in the stadium and place one of these bets while you're at the game. ESPN, who we talked about in the last segment, they had ESPN bets. It's crazy that we've gotten to the point where we bet on everything. They're actually people that are betting on wrestling outcomes. You know, professional wrestling the entertainment sport, whatever you want to call it, it's entertainment, it's theater. That's what professional wrestling is. The outcomes are predetermined, and
yet there are people betting on a predetermined outcome. What's to stop the creative team from looking at those bets and going, well, maybe if we don't go the way that people think and we change the script, we can we can have somebody place bet we can we can get a big payout ourselves. This type of absurd gambling that we are seeing nowadays is not a good thing. It's gonna hurt sports, it's gonna hurt other things because human nature is always going to be one where you
might try to fix things. There's always and here's the thing too, when it comes to the professional athletes who are paid millions upon millions of dollars anyway, there's absolutely no reason for them to want to try to fix some of these prop bets. But obviously, at least we know of two that were obviously, if there were two, there are several more that haven't been caught yet and
may never be. It's going to hurt the integrity of the game that you are very much claiming that you want to be a part of, or it hurts fan investment because we can't trust what we're seeing is real. Again, I'm a sports fan. You guys know that I've talked about my sports teams that I follow and enjoy. But if they start to go down this path where this becomes the norm, then is sports going to remain something
I can trust? Is sports going to remain and there are already people that don't trust it because you see bad officiating and there's instantly people that are going straight to the they fix that game because the betters. In the NBA, there was recently several people, coaches and players that got popped from being a part of healingual gambling. One coach was part of recruiting people to come and play in rigged poker games. If it happened there, it's
happening in other places that haven't been caught. So I've already given you two sports leagues that now have a black eye due to gambling. Is that going to stop these sports franchises from putting sporting books in their stadium? Probably not, But it just goes to show the complete and total dishonesty that we're dealing with at this time. It just goes to show the complete and total dishonesty that is at play when it comes to these sports. This isn't a sports show. You guys know that, and
this really isn't a topic on sports. It's about the topic of gambling and should it be as widespread. Should we be betting on if I'm going to miss the last step on my stairs? Should we be betting on what color tie somebody's going to wear that particular day.
Some of these prop bets have gotten ridiculously silly, and we need to figure out a way to curb a lot of that because until we do, until we figure out a way to cut back on a lot of the silly bets and silliness, we're going to see more and more examples like the ones I've pointed out, And that is true danger because one of the things that
people enjoy about sports is it's an escapism. It's something that they can go to where they want to sh Look, I'm very politically connected, but on Saturdays, I want to tune out from it and watch college football and if it turns into something and again, I could go on a whole nother rant about the state of college football, but this isn't a sports show, and I'll save that for when we launch the conservative based sports Show in
a few weeks. We just again, there's so much technology at our fingertips now right there in the palm of your hand, you're probably listening to my show on a smartphone, a smartphone that you can utilize to place these prop bets. Sometimes I wonder is if this technology is a bit more than what we need at this particular time in our history, because it's proven time and time again that maybe maybe we're not mature enough to deal with this
much technology this fast. We've got AI out there that students are utilizing to write their term papers, help them cheat on exams or different things. This technology is moving so fast. If we're not careful, we're gonna wake up and we're gonna see a lot of things that we love and we enjoy completely ruined. Something to think about
people anyway, guys, thank y'all so much for listening. As usual, It's always fun to come to you guys each and every single week and talk about different glimical topics or sometimes, like this last segment, something that just happens to be on my mind at that time. We come back next week, hopefully we'll be able to give you the full hour link show, but hey, forty five minutes is still pretty linky show and something we enjoy. Quick reminder don't forget.
