All right, guys, you have found it. It is the Right Side Radio program. Here. We are on a weekly review episode here

on February twenty ninth is when I'm recording it. Episode will release on February thirtieth. This is in fact Easter weekend. And yes, that was not the weekly review intro, and with good reason, because this episode we are not going to be covering any news stories. We're not going to be getting

into stories that we missed earlier in the week. No, the sole purpose of this episode is to give you a little bit of a teaser, to kind of give you a taste of the content that is already available courtesy of the Midnight Ride. As you know, if you've already listened to the weekly episode. Wednesday night, I sat down with Senator Chris McDaniel and we record did the premiere episode of Chris McDaniel's America. It was a fantastic show.

It's already out. You can go find it on the Midnight Rides Facebook page. You can go find it on Rumble, you can find it on Lyndell TV, you can find it on YouTube. There might even be some other places where you can find the Midnight Ride. So please take a moment and go watch Chris McDaniels America. But there's also another stellar show that has already

been released. It actually was released on Thursday, and it is called God and Country and it stars our good friend Dan Carr and our new friend Read Cooley. The two of them form a really stellar dynamic and it's something that I want to play clips of both shows here and kind of give you a taste for the content that you might come to expect from the Midnight Ride. Now bear in mind that the Midnight Ride it is going to continue to grow. There is going to be other shows that are going to show up on

the network, and again these are video shows. Of course, there is also the very likely possibility that The Right Side will become or create a video show as well as part of this network. But for now, the Right Side's going to continue to be an audio only show, which trusts me, if you watch the Chris McDaniels America, you can tell I'm not necessarily a

fan of the camera pers say, but it is what it is. So, like I said, I'm fine being an audio guy, but I'm so grateful and so thankful of both Chris McDaniel and Jim Sigelski for allowing me to join them on this ride, for asking me to be a part of Chris's show. That's something means a lot to me, And again I think both of them. I know this was Jim's vision, but all so know that Chris didn't want any other person as his number two Mike, and that means

a lot to me. So I'm really excited. I'm extremely humbled by it. So again, really really appreciate this. But I'm going to start this episode off now by going into and playing the intro to Dan and Reid's new show, God and Country. Give this a listen and welcome to God and Country. I hope you guys are having a great day here we are in the beautiful South Mississippi. It has been a beautiful day. WI is our very first episode of God and Country with the purpose of getting Christians like you

to engage in the political arena. I believe with all my heart that one of the reasons why our nation is in the mess that it is in is because Christians are not engaged as they should. Joining me is also mister Reid Cooley, mister Reed, thanks for joining me on the show today. Hey Dan, great to be here, Yes, sir, absolutely, and so read. One of the things that I want us to accomplish with God and Country, you know, as I mentioned in the intro, is about you

know, just getting Christians to engage. You know, as I look around at our country, as I look in whether it's in Jackson, Mississippi, the capital there, whether it's in bat Rouge, the capital there, whether it's in Washington, d C. Whether it's in you know, our whether it's in our city, halls, whether it's in the in the county courthouse. I see less and less Christians engaging in what I call the political arena.

And so one of the things that I want to see us accomplish here is to get Christians all over the nation to engage locally, not just nationally. So many times people want to focus on d C. Right That's where it seems like everybody's focused in on DC. And rightfully so, people are

to be focused on DC. You know, people are focused in on this election coming up in twenty twenty four with President Trump versus you know, Joe Biden, and rightfully so, people are to be I believe this is the most important election of our lifetime, but we have very important elections every four

years right here locally, and we need Christians to engage. What are your thoughts, amen, keep preaching, brother, I agree with every word all those places you just listed, federal government, state government, local government. I hope that we can we can engage them all and do exactly what you said that has just encourage Christians to get out there, to engage the political arena, to really stake a claim in the culture to win this you know,

this country. Back in addition, so you and I have both been around politics for many years now, conservative politics, on the right side of politics, but just as much, I mean, I'm interested in the culture as well, like what we can do to foster a culture in this country, maybe starting with the state, but obviously America more broadly, where we can foster that culture where Christians are encouraged to get out there, to engage

you the political arena and really you know, to kind of make the case for Christ as it were. So I'm pumped, man, I'm glad to be here. Absolute. So there you have it. That's the first introduction to God and country, and you can already here right there that there's really good chemistry between Dan and Reid. I think that they're going to be a dynamic duo. I think this is going to be a really, really successful show. I'm really excited to see more of what Dan and Red can come

up with. It's going to be an extremely exciting show. So we'll be checking that out week after week to see what they come up with. But now I want to play for you the introduction to Chris McDaniel's America, because again, this is a show that I am on. I am featured on it. Now I am decidedly the number two Mike, and believe me, Chris is hitting a home run on this show. So it's it's really great to see how good and how talented Chris is on And I'm not surprised because

I used to talk radio with him, so it wasn't shocked. But man, it's a really good episode. I'm going to play these segments, these clips for you, but I strongly strongly urge you to go seek out the entire episode and go watch it, whether it's on the Midnight Rides Facebook page, whether it's on YouTube, whether it's on Rumble Lindell TV. Make sure that you're finding this show. Make sure you're sharing this show so your friends can find it and we can continue to grow our audience. But here's the

introduction to Chris McDaniel's America. Hi, well, welcome. This is a new charted course for us today, obviously, and if you haven't heard, my name is Chris McDaniel and this is Chris McDaniel's America, as always with

me Jack Fairchilds and this is the Midnight Ride Network. Now you might wonder, and I did it first, why the Midnight Ride because you think clearly there's a historical purpose behind the name, right, And I got to thinking about that today, about the Midnight Ride and why it's import to this show. And there's a reason. There's a reason if you think about the ride.

It took place in seventeen seventy five, and Paul Revere had planned intelligently, which is a key element here, intelligently a method with other patriots about how to make sure we knew when the British were approaching and how they were approaching. That's a big deal. So you've heard the story of the famous ride. Oh we all have. Yes, there were other parts of the rides, Yeah, you know they put there's the old story about two by sea, one by land, the lanterns in the North Church in Boston.

No story short. Revere he leaves Boston and he's trying to make sure that the colonials have some advance warning of the British regulars approaching. They're going to Concord, they're trying to ride a military barrack since the ammunition there. He concocts a plan bed not ride. They did it smartly, that men not ride, and it worked. You know, people don't realize that Revere was actually captured at one point during this ride. Then they released him. Silly

British. Silly British, they released him. Not that the capsture mattered a whole lot. The point of the story is this, he was able to alert the people of the country, the colonial army, that the regulars were coming, the British were coming, and he did so with intelligent resistance. That's the key to this network. It's the key to this show, intelligent resistance. And you might say, what are we resisting. We'll get to that in a moment, but first, let's talk about the show, the

purpose of the show, what we are and what we are not. Jack, You and I have done radio a lot over the years. We've talked together a time or two, and we've we've had shows that were someone mombastic and shows that were designed to get ratings. And you know that came back to home me a couple of times in campaigns over the years. Right, I don't know what you're talking about. You know, sometimes you get carried away and you say these things, and that's part of good radio, Right,

it happens, and it's going to happen here. So I want to warn the people out there, no matter what side of the political calculation you think you may be on on we see things differently than just red versus Blue. Yes, now that's important. Don't get me wrong. I've been a Republican since I was thirteen years old, and you can tell by the wrinkles on my face that was a long long time ago. But we see things differently than just red versus Blue. There's got to be more than tribalism here.

There's got to be more to They stink and we don't because both sides are guilty of that right now. So what we want to do in this show is to pound out a philosophical basis for why it is we're conservatives, and to do so with intelligent resistance. And you can say, what on earth are you resisting? What? The same thing the Founders resisted? Tyranny? You say, for goodness sake, what does that look like? I don't know too much of government. It always results in the same thing,

which is tyranny. So we start with the resistance, but we have to ask ourselves why and what's the purpose of the resistance. And it really is a foundational principle based on philosophy. And that's going to drive some people crazy because they always think that conservatism is just a moniker and it's just there to support the Republican Party. It's really not. It's been here for over two hundred plus years. Philosophers like Burke and Jefferson even and others hyak Ron Paul.

People say Ron Paul is not a conservative. Of course he is. He has that founder's and pulse in his body. And so we want to develop a system to educate people as to what true conservatism is and what it is not. And we'll talk about that. So, first of all, let's define what the show is not. We're not going to be a mouthpiece for the Republican Party. No, not at all. This is not Fox

News. Now, don't get me wrong. Fox News occasionally has a criminal truth out there, right, but at the same time, it comes at you with bias, just like CNN, just like you miss NBC. That's not who we are. We're not a mouthpiece for the party, and there's a reason for that. There's nothing the party has that we desire. Now

think about it. There's a lot of shows out there that will twist and turn facts and protect the party even when the party is wrong, that's a problem, and they do so because there's something the party has, something they desire. They don't want to offend a politician that could be powerful. They don't want to offend the party chairman who could have money. They don't want to make the donors mad because they're always wanting to run for something that's not

what this show is going to be. If the Republican Party makes mistakes, we've got to be there to call them out absolutely, yeah, one hundred percent, because I think that's part of the problem nowadays is there's so many people out there that don't understand the difference between conservatism and Republicanism, because while there's similarities there, they're not the same thing at all. They're not. You know, Conservatism is an element of political thought, and I discussed that

earlier. It's been around for an awfrelly long time, and the Republican Party is supposed to be the vessel by which that thought is conveyed. One would think the Republicans will stand for policy and principle, but we've seen over the last forty or fifty years the Republican Party doesn't have a lot of backbone policy or principle. So the philosophy of conservatism has been redefined. I'm not even sure most Republicans nobody means to be a conservative. Then we'll get to that

in a second. And that, my friends, is the introduction to Chris McDaniel's America, which I'm excited to be a part of. And of course, you know Chris McDaniel. I told you he's bringing it a really, really great intro. But I want to play more clips. You know, I'm going to go back here to the premiere episode of Godden Country and let Dan and Read talk to us for a moment about taking on the Wok culture. And I think that they sum this up very well. So let me

let me play this clip for you guys. Now absolutely mean too. You know, one thing you look at when you look at the left right, you look at THEO I call him that the woke crowd. You know that

they're trying to absolutely brainwash our children. I mean, they are putting unbelievable at some of the stuff that I'm hearing and some of the stuff that I'm even seeing that's happening in some of our schools around our country, where they are putting little boxes, litter boxes in some of these classrooms because some of these some of these children, they've been brainwashed, you know, and they and they want to come in and some pretend that they're going to identify as

a cat. It's insane, you know, identify as a bird and teachers have to even call them like different names. So do the cat students want to eat the bird students? Like, what's going on? I don't know, but it's crazy, it I mean, it's absolutely insane that this is going on right here in America, you know. But I got to give them props, you know, to the woke agenda, because they're being very

vocal. You know, they're being very loud. You know, that crowd that's pushing that that transgender garbage, you know, down our young people's throat. I mean that crowd is they are loud, and they are upfront, and they're letting everybody know where they stand. I mean, that crowd that's for abortion, you know, that's trying to shove abortion down our throat right

here, even in the Mississippi and all over the nation. That crowd is allowed, and they are vocal, and they are upfront, you know, because they're trying to get their woke agenda place, and they wanted to thrive right here in America. And unfortunately, so many Christians, you know, we want to We're timid, right, I mean, we're timid and we don't want to hurt anybody's feelings. Well it's about time that we start hurting

somebody's feelings. I mean, because we're losing our country, and our country is on a fast track of hell, and we don't do something about it, we're going to lose our country. I mean, if our filming fathers could see where we're at today, oh man, I mean, they would roll over in there. Great, could you imagine? George Washington? Well, Dan, I have to go to one of your sermons one day, because I've got to tell your brother, you are speaking my language here.

You know, I've noticed a lot of different kinds of transformations in the world of American politics, just throwing my teens and in my twenties, as I was discovering my own sort of political identity, as I was becoming more engaged in politics, as I was, like I said, as I was coming of age, it seems like a pretty accepted axiom whenever I was in you know, well, like I said my teenage years, so maybe ten fifteen years ago, that America was becoming a less religious country and more specifically,

a less Christian county. I only agree with one of those. Now. I do think that we are becoming a less Christian country. I think much of what you alluded to with this woke insanity, this transgender ideology in our public schools, that's one of many symptoms of that. But we're not becoming a less religious country necessarily. I think that it's been accurately noted by conservatives over the last decade or so that there's a new religion that is taking over

not just America, but really the entirety of the Western world. It is this religion, this massive cult, if you will, of wokeism, of leftism, all of this and this transgenderism is just one of the many dogmas sort of inside this new religion. So what I feel like I'm seeing is

what I hope that we can defeat with God and country. Maybe we can lay a few foundations for here with the show is defeating this new religion that is supplanting in Christianity as the dominant religion in the West, and that right there a kin you love how they're talking because I couldn't agree with these two more. We are in a battle against a new ideology, and in many ways it is a new religion, a religion and left that adopts this completely

insane walk culture. But of course I want to go back to Chris McDaniels America because Chris continues as I played in the last clip or in the first clip from Chris, he continues on and what we're not, and he talks about why Chris McDaniels America will not be a show that's about chasing conspiracy theories. Let's talk about real quick what we are not. I'm not trying to upset people on the right here, but I want us to get focused.

We're losing the country, and we're losing the country meanwhile chasing conspiracy theories. Now, when I was a kid growing up, my father was a college professor and he always said, you can't make an argument unless you have sources. And I don't mean Alex Jones, Okay, is that bad? Is that going to get me in trouble on this network? There has to be sources, documented sources. And my fear is this elements of our movement have

been chasing conspiracy theories. That's okay to a certain extent, but if if it becomes your soul being for existence, you're missing out on things that really work to move the needle. Q and nine, I don't think there's much to it. Frankly, I never have because I need to see evidence. But those that are following Q and nine, their attention is distracted right now?

Does that make sense? No, it makes perfect sense. And if they're distracted chasing shadows, then they're not doing things that are beneficial to winning elections. And if we can't want elections with conservatives, it's not going to matter what Q andine does, right, and so you have all these wild theories. I'm not really terribly concerned this is going to get me in trouble. I shouldn't say this. Are we ready for this? And that Wor's

not ready for this? I don't care. It doesn't and I don't believe it for a moment that MA show Obama host testicles. Do you know? But there's an element within our group that's chasing pictures on the internet trying to prove she does. Okay, fine, if you want to have fun there, but have you knocked the door. Have you made a phone call for a candidate? Have you really gotten down there and did anything that moved the needle. Yet you're chasing rainbows and unicorns. That's fine, But frankly,

I'm not terribly concerned about the grassy knoll. I'm not concerned about conspiracies. Boman jfk Jr. I'm not a bit concerned about this. Is there a pedophilia ring in Europe that we're supposed to be Look, I know it's bad and it could very well exist, but we're trying to win elections. And the thing is, if you're focused on those conspiracies, you're chasing those conspiracies, and you're not winning locally, you're losing. And so I don't want

to be a show that chases conspiracies. We may discuss it, we're not going to chase it. We may sometimes acknowledge it if there's a truth involved, some fact that comes to light, but we're not going to chase it. We have to hold on to our philosophy because if we chase these theories and lose our philosophy, we have nothing to offer anybody. And as I understand it, our movement needs young people. I'm pretty sure we're not getting

the job done with the youth of this country right now. And that right there sums up a lot more about what Chris McDaniels America is going to be and what it's not going to be. Because again, as fans of the Right Side, you know, the Right Side is not a show that Chase's conspiracy theories. We may have fun with one from time to time, but we're not going out there and covering conspiracy theories. I believe that we need

to have facts in front of us. I'll get some stories from time to time, and if I haven't had a chance to vet the story to see if it's factual, I won't cover it until I do. And if it's not factual, I'm never gonna touch it. That's the same vision that Chris has for Chris McDaniels America. That's part of the reason why it's so easy to jump on board. But Chris also goes on a little bit further in this next slip and talks a little bit more about conservatism right here, So

let's let you check this one out. It's free markets and it's free minds. We may have opinions for instance, on what we believe people should do or not do. But you cross the line from conservatism into fascism or even socialism whenever you attempt to use force to control that behavior. That's the problem. Frankly, I think conservatism is the coolest philosophy in the world because it embarks around the individual dignity of each person, and it tells us that we

should conserve a space where politicians don't control us. What have you ever heard it put that way? A space where politicians can't control us. Politicians use government as an extension of control. That's all they are. They're big bullies, they have big egos, and they love to tell us what to do. They love to dictate to us how to live. Young people don't like to be told what to do. Conservatism respects that. It says, you know what, we may disagree with your decisions. Hey, fine, you

enjoy yourself. Now you have to live with the results. If you do something really stupid, We're not going to bail you out, but we respect your decision as free people, adult people, liberty minded people. To live your life as you see fit. That's a good political philosophy. Liberalism rejects that and so does authoritarianism on the conservative side, What does it say do as we say? Ah, that's not a conservatism. Is conservatism respects differences

of opinion and variations of opinion. They want to use government to control us. Well, is that a lombastic statement. I think it's not right. No, it's it's an honest statement. Will consider this. How much of their paycheck do you want? I mean, they take about forty to fifty percent every year, don't they. Yeah. If I don't have economic liberty, what liberty do I have? I can't feed my family, I can't pay the gas bill, I can't pay the light bill. But they take

take, take That's control, isn't it control? They take the fruits of my labor, they rip it from me. That's a sense of con What about the way I teach my kids, the things they're taught in school, that's control, isn't it? Yes? What about the COVID lockdowns? Was that control? Very much? So? Ultimately, the liberals of this country, the modern liberals of this country, are all about using force. Conservatism is a rejection of that force. That's all this is. And they always

talk about free will on that side of the equation. They talk about how we're trying to control them, when here's the philosophy I live by, just leave me alone and I'll leave you alone. Is that a bad political philosophy. No, I think that's a philosophy that's very, very easy to get

behind. I think young people would love it if they actually heard it and understood it, and understood it very well said, very well spoken by Chris McDaniel on what it means to be a conservative, what conservatism actually is, and I applaud him for coming on this show and talking about it and trying to reach young people and get them to understand the core tenets of conservatism.

Now I'm gonna pause right here. No bumper music's this time. I'm not recording this episode live, so I'm just gonna go ahead and pause right here for a quick commercial breaks. That way, we can pay a couple of bills, and then we'll come back. I've got a few more clips from

both shows that'll want to get to before we wrap this show up. I know the Weekly Review doesn't normally have breaks like this, but this week's episode, because it's all about a promo for the newly launched Midnight Ride, I want to pause ride here and when we come back, a couple of more

clips from both Godden Country and Chris McDaniel's America. All right, guys, I'm back here and ready to talk with you a little bit more about these two shows, because again, Dan and Reid did a fantastic job with Godden Country Chris mcdani daniel was in the zone during the recording of the premiere episode of Chris McDaniel's America. The Midnight Ride is off to a great start with two fantastic shows, and you really need to go check them out. This

episode is only serving as a teaser for you. This episode is only its whole intent is to get you to go check out the full content. There's a reason I'm not playing the entire episodes. You need to go check them out, watch them, find a way if you're an audio only person, find a way to listen to them. Whatever you need to do. Make sure that you're checking out these episodes again. They're on the Midnight Rides Facebook page, They're on YouTube, they're on Rumble, They're on Lindell TV.

You know again, Mike Lindell. He's a sponsor and he is working with us. My Pillow, of course. And right now now, if you go to MyPillow dot com slash the Midnight Ride, you can get a promo code to get up to eighty percent off on select my Pillow products. So check that out again. Go to my pillow dot com slash Midnight Ride and you can start saving tonight on the best night's sleep you've ever had. And trust me, I'll get to this and this I'm gonna say this. I'm

gonna get to this in a second. But now I want to talk about this. And Dan, I hope you're listening because you've never watched The Lord of the Rings. Come on, Dan, you've got to watch The Lord of the Rings. Listen to this as Read talks about his love of the Lord of the Rings and how it relates to some of his ideology. And that's when we figure out that Dan has never seen the films, he's never read the books from Tolkien. Dan, you've got a lot of catching up

to do. Let's check this out. I'm seeing much more of that kind of rhetoric that's sort of occupying the world of politics these days, especially among

conservatives. I'm seeing you know exactly what you're talking about. People whether they're converting to Roman Catholicism, whether it's it's the Baptist Church or the Methodist Church, they're calling out for Christ to get because I think what we are noticing, not just in America, across the West is that people understand that this mess that Western civilization has gotten into, there's no way out of it without Jesus Christ. There's no way out of this mess. He's the moral absolute,

He's the moral standard. Really, all of Western civilization is predicated on the sacrifice of Christ, on the message of Christ. It really goes all the way back to him. So I'm seeing more and more of that starting to take place. But over the last year or so, I've really begun to refer to our enemies in politics and in culture as simply the enemy, maybe with an upper case E, because to me, that encapsulates the fact that we're fighting a spiritual war, we're fighting a cold war, and we're

fighting a political war, all sort of put together. So whenever you refer to it simply as the enemy, that's that sort of encapsulates all of that. Plus I'm a big Lord of the Rings fan, you know, so a spoiler alert, and if you read the Lord of the Rings books. By chance, hopefully we have some Lord of the Rings fans of the audience. You'll hear like some of the heroic characters refer to salur On the Dark Lord as the enemy. Right. So it's a little bit of MI nerdiness

channeled into into my political outlook and such things. But I am noticing, you know, obviously a lot of negative transformations in the world, but you know some positive as well. Yeah, so you mentioned Lord of the Rings. I've never watched Lord of the Rings. Man, I've never read You have to change that. I've never I've never read one of the books. I've never watched it. So but but I'll put that on my to do

I'll put that on my to do list. You will get so much out of it, man, So whenever you read Tolkien, Lewis, you know the great Christian writers, I would say, some of the most important and pivotal contributors to the great Christian literary canon. Man, you'll get so much out of it. I mean, and I'm gonna get a little bit of a spoiler alord to you. But the audience, the Word of the Rings

is really you know, it's a deep theological work. So Tolkien he was deeply Christian, he was Roman Catholic, he was deeply Christian, and he was pouring as theology into every single page of that book. And you know, so it's a movie book. Well, so the movies are based off of much older books that he wrote in the nineteen forty so you know, he wrote The Hobbit that came out in nineteen thirty seven. Then you know, less than a decade later he started working on the Word of the Rings.

It was originally seven books. He broke it down to three, but three, and he watched the extended edition of the trilogy. It's fourteen hours, fourteen straight hours. So it's a lot of movie hour movie. It's a three movies, fourteen hours over three movies. So oh wow, you really got to sit down and you know, set aside some time to marathon these last man, So maybe get plenty of your sweet tee that you've got here, I get some popcorned to sit down and binge it. Right there

you have it. Not only has Dan not seen or read The Lord of the Rings, he didn't understand that they were both a movie and a book, that the movies were based on the books. So Dan, Dan, You've got a lot of homework to do. And Reid didn't even mention the Hobbit films, So he didn't even mention that there are three Hobbit films. No, they're not as good as the Lord of the Ring film, so that's probably why Reid didn't mention them. But they exist, so you might

want to watch those two at some point. But I digress, and I want to get back to these clips, you know, but it's always fun to bust Dan's chops. But Chris, in this next segment, he brings up a cultural icon himself when he mentions by Marley, and I want to play this clip for you. Now. This one's a little bit longer clip because there really wasn't a good spot before I stopped it to stop because again Chris gets on a roll here, and I just want to play this clip

for you guys. If you think about this is going to be a funny scenario. Right, there's a movie out right now about Bob Marley, right, and yes, conservatives can listen to Bob Marley's perfectly acceptable. I like b Marley. Yeah, I'm well aware Bob Marley was a man of independence, and he spoke about overcoming struggles. He talked about one love, and he talked about the only independence of the mind can free ourselves. Right,

what's the song? Redemption song? R Redemption song. These are beautiful lyrics from a man who understood individualism. That's conservatism, isn't it. I'm not suggesting Marley was conservative different times, different ideas, but the idea here is to allow people to live and to love them despite their mistakes. But you have to live with the consequences of your mistakes. Even in that music, you have this pattern of conservative fault. Now people would reject that. I'm

sure some liberal right now is rolling their eyes. They are prove me otherwise. He was the man that rejected government force. He was there was trying to overcome government force, whether it was slavery or Jim Crow. Right. By the way, liberals, help me understand something here. The whole concept of slavery and the whole concept of Jim Crow was based on the premise of

force. The very force you now embraced, I must have just you embrace that for uce, but you embrace a force that could be abused, right, yeah, one hundred percent. And the conservative mind we believe the only way to make sure those dark days don't return, those bad days of this country don't return, is to not give the government the kind of power that can effectuate the return. Take it away. More freedom, more liberty,

more individualism, less collectivism. That's conservatism. So what I'll be trying to conserve. We're trying to conserve the American experiment, that is freedom, the idea that every man has dignity should be treated equally. Yeah, under the law. The crazy thing is, in the present environment, if I say those things, they still call me a racist. Have you considered that it's

insane? I mean because nowadays, and I talk about this from time to time, and it drives me crazy because you can't have an honest dialogue with somebody that disagrees with you on the left, because they don't want to have an honest dialogue because instead of sitting down and having that discussion and less debate ideas. Instead of having debate, they go to the name calling, they go to the insults. It's well, you think that way because you just

hate, and that's not that could be further from the truth. Well, here's the thing. You look back to the civil rights struggle, and those were you know, those people were fighting for freedom. They were fighting for freedom from governments that did not want to allow them. Yeah. Freedom.

It's that style of government that we're still against today. Right. And so if we advocate for individual responsibility, and if we add to advocate for individual dignity, if we advocate for less government interference in our lives, in other words, less politicians interfering in our lives, by no definition can that can be considered racist. And yet the common refrain is that somehow we're violating some

social norm. The social norm is too much government. And I'm sorry, the social abnormal behavior is too much government, because that's when people typically are abused by government. So let's keep talking about these traits. Take away the power of the government, empower individuals. What does that look like in the twenty first century. This is a good question. I mean, how do you suppose this show and this philosophy can fit in the twenty first century or

the twenty second century or the twenty third century. And the answer is remarkably well, Because liberty is the goal, and it's always been the goal, and as long as people are allowed to achieve free in coersion and free from political influence. You'll be surprised how well they can accomplish things. You'd be surprised what they can do, how much money they can make, how they can educate their kids, just how wonderful society can be if they're allowed to

be free. One more component of conservatism as a notion called federalism. The whole country right now is obsessed over Washington, d C. I think that's a big mistake. I think it's a big mistake. Republicans want to win it so they can control Democrats. Democrats want to win it so they can control Republicans. Washington is the problem, I agree, and it always has been. The way you handle the problem of Washington is to diffuse or decentralize

that authority. And this is why it's important to do that, and why conservatism demands that. When you have a magnet like Washington, it's powerful, and it's a magnet to all the terrible attributes of human behavior. You may not believe this, but I assure you that pathological personalities love power. Pathological

personalities are drome to power. And you wonder why there are so many messed up minds in Washington, d C. We've allowed the power to consolidate there, so naturally everybody Russia's there to get a taste of that power to make those egos feel good. But these are really disgusting personalities on both of the equation. Yes, conservatism says, the answer to that is, don't give

them the power. For goodness sakes. The entire government was built on the concept of not giving one man or one system too much power, decentralize it. To think about this, Washington is such a It's such a cauldron right now of hate, despair, and dysfunction, in large part because of the pathology, the pathological personalities that are associated with the system, and so it's so bad that they can't seem to get anything done that was anticipated. The

founders were brilliant. They understood that a diverse country like this with too much power in one location will bring all those negative attributes and that things would break down. The answer give the powers back to the states. Why has that objectionable? Young people, you're a liberal, you're listening to this. What if I told you that I'm more than willing to let California do whatever California wants to do. What if I told you that Massachusetts I'm more than willing.

I may disagree, I may talk about it, I may try to preach to it, but I'm more than willing to let Massachusetts live the way the people up there want to live. But here's the deal, though, you got to let us live by way to Yep. Let Mississippi live, let that Alabama live, Let Ohio live. Here's the beauty in that situation. If you do that, we're not fighting over Washington anymore. We're not desperate over who wins the presidency. We recognize that power has been destabilized,

it's been decentralized. Now the real solutions lie locally. If California wants to allow abortion on demand over there in its state capital, I would disagree greatly, but you must respect that state's position under our system to take that action. Conversely, if Mississippi wants to outlaw it altogether, you must respect the state's position. To me, that's good government. And guess what else it

does. All of a sudden, Now we're not so mad anymore. We're not up there in Washington's sitting there in front of a Supreme Court chamber with a placard in our hands, because when now we're at our state capitals discussing it like human beings are supposed to discuss it. That's good government. And there you have it. I mean, Chris, he hads away with words.

I mean he takes talking about Bob Marley and then he goes off on something that is a seven minute clip there because I couldn't find another spot during that seven minutes to where I could put a brake until we got to it. So just an amazing job there by Chris. Now there's another clip from Godden Country that really spoke to me, and it's one that I think is very very important and very much a product of our time, where Dan talks about the state of churches today. And I want to play this for you

because you know Dan is a pastor. He really gets fired up here. This is a perfect example of the type of passion that Dan Carr is going to bring to Godden Country every week. I think that this right here, if you're not already signed up, if you're not already subscribed to the Midnight Ride Network, if you're not already following their Facebook page, if you're not trying to make sure that you're checking out this show each and every single week,

this right here might change your mind. So let me let me play this clip from Dan right here. The church listen. I say this as kindly as I can. The church has gotten solved. I totally agree. The church is more concerned about attracting a crowd than speaking the truth. With modernizing itself. Absolutely, the church is more The church is more concerned today

about putting on a show than they are about lifting up Christ. The church is more concerned today about putting on a concert and how they look about and about you know, the smoke and the bands and all of this, than they are about lifting up Christ. And so when you look at the church and you see the direction of the church, and you see where the church is going, and you see that the church is the lifting up Christ, you know is not is not like it used to be. And the way

that the church is the trending of the church. You know, we got to keep up with modernization, We got to keep up with the world in order to attract. And the church is about Whenever the church is about attracting instead of deflecting people to Christ, that's when you know you have a problem in the church. And when you see the direction of the church as going over the last fifty to sixty years. There's no wonder that our children today are having. I might be a dog, or a cat, or the

home. It's so messed up is because the church has lost it sought. The church has lost its sought. And so I believe, I agree with you that the world is a reflection of the home and the homeless, the reflection of the church. And so it is so important. That's why our churches, that's why our preachers, you know, we've got to continue preaching truth. We cannot back off. And because we're so wanting to fill up our church, you know, with people that we're scared to preach the truth.

I believe this. I believe that there are people out there that want to hear the truth. I think that I know there are because of my church. Like my church, Sunday it's going to be packed out. So I can assure you that Sunday morning it's going to be packed out. And I know it's Easter Sunday, but the next Sunday it's going to be packed out. There are people out there that are looking for somebody that's going to speak truth, that's going to just stand on the word of God and be

honest and just shoot straight. And there are still people like that out there, and that's what our country needs. Our country needs men behind the pulpit that are willing to speak truth. And if everybody gets mad and leaves, they still speak truth. And so I just want to encourage preachers out there. Man, don't back off of truth. Now. We need to be kind. I believe in being kind, I believe in all of that. But let's not back off of truth. There are churches. This you want

to come off making me makes me sick. This makes me sick. There are churches out there that for Sunday and their advertisement, they're not even wanting to put Christ. They're not even want to use the word resurrection. They're not even wanting to use the blood. They're not even wanting to use these things because they might offend somebody. Well, what in the name of Heaven do you think Easter is about? Hey, guys, let's take a break.

Well said there by Dan. Uh. Just amazing passion, amazing fire there from Dan because he, like I said, he understands the word of God and he takes it very very seriously as pastor. And to see some of these churches turn their back on faith or try to dumb down the Word of God because they might offend somebody. So we'll remove sections of the Boible to try to avoid offending people. I'm glad that we are going to have a show that's going to call that type of crap out. So I truly

appreciate Dan. I appreciate Read for that. I got two more clips I want to play right here. You know. The first one part of the new sponsorship with my Pillow and Mike Ladell is. They are they're gonna want us to do certain live reads. They're gonna want us and when you watch God and Country, you see that reads doing it. I was doing one on the premiere episode of Chris McDaniel's America, and of course in the middle of it, Chris calls me out because I'm reading it directly from the script.

I don't have it memorized yet, shocker, but Chris calls me out for reading, and I think it's hilarious. I think it's good radio. But he also takes this oportunity to take a little bit of a shot at a guy that's going to feature again in the final clip of this show. So let me play this for you right now, exactly. Let's talk about my pillow for a second. My pillow is quite simply the finest pillow on the market. My pillows patented interlocking fills just to your individual sleep needs sounds.

I probably am and I'm on camera, so I think they can see you need to sleep on it and give us an honest appraisal of what you think about my pillow, which I will Okay, sorry, I will sleep on it very soon. That's good

what I tell you think it's it's worth the proaches for sure. And if he's if he's helping this show, he's taking a big risks, especially since I had to read directly and then get called out by best to help him. By the way, go back about halfway down where you're talking about the comfort part of the pillow. What did that say about laying next to it?

It was very comfortable. It says that my patented interlocking or my pillow is patented interlocking adjust uh or interlocking fills adjust to your individual sleep needs, regardless of your sleeping. But there was something else about comfort. There was something about like feeling. Really the innovative feels hold that position all night, helping you fall asleep faster. Say that's that's what I say that again, all right, The innervative fils holds that position all night, helping you fall

asleep faster and stay asleep longer. That's how mich McConnell sees his dollars. That's why we keep listening. There have it again. Chris has always been incredibly quick witted, and he showed it right there. But again, and for the record, I have slept on my pillow. I do give my own guarantee. That is a very very comfortable pillow that they graciously sent me one. I am a huge fan. So again, go to my pillow dot com slash the Midnight Ride and you can get your special discounts right there.

Now, one more clip before we wrap this show up. There is a news segment, or it's going to be a featured segment. Since the show's new, everything's new. That's kind of a silly statement. It's a news segment. It's a new show, it just launched, so everything on it's news. That was kind of a silly statement

there. But this segment is going to be entitled Chris McDaniel Rhino Hunter in which each and every single week, Chris McDaniel is going to pick his rhino of the week. There's little shock who was going to be the first rhino of the week on the Chris McDaniel Rhino Hunters segment. He alluded to him when he made that joke during my live read or at the end of my

live read. So let's listen to Chris's name, Mitch McConnell, the infamous turtle as his rhino of the week on Chris McDaniel's rhino Hunter segment, even of a man who never listens Mitch McConnell. Now, apparently this is the segment for the rhino hunter segment, right, Chris McDaniel, White, Oh, hunters that we're calling this. There are so many. This was a tough call for me because there are so many rhinos now, not only in the state government, and we're going to get to you. It's common think

you're too small of a political office not to get called out. You were about to get called out at some point in this program. But right now, let's start with a big guy. Let's start with a big turtle there in DC, Mitch McConnell. Okay, Mitch has been there for an awfully long time. I think he was first elected them see what on my notes say. I think it was eighty five. Wow, eighty five, So he is a creature of the Senate. He stops himself after Henry Clay,

the great compromiser. Well, that might have been fine to eighteen hundreds, my man, but you've compromised enough. How much is Mitch McConnell compromised. Let's look at this, because when he first arrived for the national debt was a minuscule about two trillion dollars. Since he arrived in nineteen eighty five, he has been part of an apparatus that's added over thirty one trillion to it. Now, you might say that's not all his fault. He was just

one senator in the middle of this mass of immorality. But yet he was the Republican leader for several years. Wasn't he the Republican leader back when we held control over the purse strings? And these numbers are striking because the national debt increased by twenty five trillion dollars since he became the Republican leader. That no, I did not know the number. How do we measure the size of the scope of government by the number of dollars it spends? Miss McConnell

could have stopped at at any point in time. A real Republican would have stopped it at any point in time. A Barry Goldwater. What have a Reagan would have given it a shot. Now Reagan got upside down a bit. It's just a crime. Shame to me. The only time the budget has been balanced, it seems like in my lifetime, was Bill Clinton's presidency. How messed up is that? Right? But the point is Mitch McConnell has been there all this time, but he hasn't lived up to his promises.

And there you have it. That, my friends, is just a taste of the content that you're going to get from The Midnight Ride, The Midnight Right The main website is supposed to launch officially on Tuesday, but you can go ahead and watch God and Country and Chris McDaniels America.
