It is the right Side Radio program here. We are recording this episode on Saturday, July twelfth, twenty twenty five. We're back people, after taking the week of the fourth of July off, and we were turned with a vengeance this week with five full episodes of Morning Coffee and a Saturday edition of the flagship show Here Is. We want to get back into the swing of things and

get the Right Side rolling once again. But a lot of things have had happened since our last recording, one of the biggest, of course, being the Big Beautiful Bill, which we will talk about, more violent outburst against ice agents and more. So we'll talk about that and so much more. Also this controversy over the new Superman film, which I have seen, so we'll talk about that as well, folks.

But before we get into any of that, as always, we ask that you like and subscribe to the Right Side Radio program Remember, we're on all the major podcatchers out there, Apple podcast, iHeartRadio, Spotify, Spreaker, Amazon Music, and many more. So make sure whichever podcatcher you enjoy listening to the most you have clicked that subscribe button. That way, you never miss a new episode of the Right Side

Radio Show. Also, we're on social media. We're on x although we're not as active on it as maybe we should be. And of course we're on Facebook, so make sure that you have liked our pages and follow the Right Side Radio programs. That way. Again, you can follow whatever news or whenever there is an update about an episode,

you can find it right there. Now getting into the news, of course, I think one of the biggest stories and I might not stay on this topic as long as I would have if we had covered it when it passed. But I do want to talk about the big, beautiful bill for a few minutes, and I'm going to be honest with you, folks. I'm not a fan of the bill. There was a lot of waste and pork stuck into that bill, and I don't like the idea of running around celebrating its passage because as a conservative, I don't

think it was a very conservative piece of legislation. There is certain gambles at play with it that again hopefully pay off in the long run. Because they don't, the deficit's going to become even more crippling because we are adding to the deficit. But the hope is that we will fix the economy and offset the gains in the deaf sit. I'm skeptical that that's going to be the case, because again, I think we need some pre substantial cuts in our budget, cuts in our spending, and I didn't

see it with this bill. I saw the exact opposite. Are there good things in it, like extending the making or not extending but making the Trump tax cuts permanent? Yes, but they're only permanent as long as Republicans remain in control of Congress because Democrats will come up with a new bill if they get the White House and Congress, which they will. Again. I know people don't like to say that out loud, but it's just the nature of politics.

The pendulum is always swinging right to left, right to left, and at some point it will swing left again. The hope is that we're not dealing with lunatics like Mandini out there or Mandini out there in New York, and we're dealing with more moderate Democrats, which is becoming more which is becoming more and more hard to find because Democrats are going off on this lunatic fringe left and right,

and it's scary to witness. It's scary to watch, it scary to see people because again, we are living in times where the Democrat Party is definitely the party of socialism. I mean, if you look at a mainstream candidate in America's large just city and you see that he is a devout socialist, you understand that that is the face of the Democrat Party, no matter what they try to tell you. But again, I'm getting away from the point when it comes back to the big beautiful bill, Republicans

high fiving and celebrating its passage. It really reminded me of watching Republicans here in my home state of Mississippi celebrate in high five the fact that they had eliminated the income tax. The truth of the matter is they had not eliminated the income tax. They set up a path for it, a path that we won't see for another ten to fourteen years. But they all want to tell folks that they did it, the one thing that they did one hundred percent for sure. Yes, they raised

our gas tax. They'll tell you, well, we offset it with a cut in the grocery tax, but over the long haul to end up paying a lot more to the government. And in the meantime, next year when your taxes come, do, guess what you're still going to be paying income tax. And the year after that, guess what you're still going to be paying income tax. So again, they didn't do anything when it came to ending our income tax in the state of Mississippi, but they champion

it like that. You even have politicians who are forced into special elections this year. They're putting it in their ads, putting it on their push card that they ended the income tax. And a lot of voters fall for it because they don't do any research, and next year, when they see that state income tax punching them right in the nose, they'll be Wait, but I thought this, I thought they did away with that. Be too late then,

because you have already fallen for the parlor trick. The hope is in a couple of years, when the real election comes, you might actually remember, but you probably won't.

That's the problem with political cycles. But here we are dealing with this big, beautiful bill mess and again, there are good things in it, but I don't think it's a piece that can a piece of legislation that conservatives should be high fiving and celebrating like it was the greatest achievement of their political careers, because it is not understand Trump was for it, and I understand that there are certain people out there that believe that anything Trump

says we must follow. I like President Trump and one hundred percent support President Trump, but that doesn't mean I'm going to be a blind follower when I can look at things and see that this might not be one of the best pieces of legislation, because again, I think it was a bad bill, a bad bloated bill, that is because the norm for our politicians in Washington, DC, and of course the swamp still being up there and still being very entrenched, they snuck in a lot of

stuff that they wanted, and that's why it is so outrageous. Do I think Donald Trump had the best intentions with this bill, Yes, because I think his whole goal was to make sure that the Trump tax cuts became permanent. I think that was his goal, and I think he achieved that. But I sadly just don't buy into all

the added spending that was placed into this bill. And that's why you won't see me high fiving or champion the big beautiful bill, because it just to me is not the bill that we should be high fiving or champion. It's not the bill that we should be as conservatives saying that's the type of legislation. We won't. We've got to get better, and a lot of that's going to rely on you. Because again, why I don't fought Donald

Trump for this bill, not in the slightest. I fought the members the legislature who overloaded the bill, flooded it with pork. I fought the members of the legislature who knew that Trump was going to do whatever he took to pass a bill that made those tax cuts permanent. They snuck in whatever they could. And this isn't Democrats that did this. These are swamp creature Republicans who need to be replaced. I'm questionable if I think that the

American people will actually replaced them. Maybe they would if Donald Trump would stand up and call them out. Instead, he went after probably one of the most conservative voices in our legislature and Thomas Massey, which one hundred percent disagree with him on his attacks on Thomas Massey. I think Massey is a good representative for the United States of America and his congressional district. Ah for one, think

we need more Thomas Massey's. But again, I just think that this bill is not something that is a huge celebratory passing. Is it good that we're going to make those tax cuts permanent or however permanent they can be. Yes, one hundred percent, and I do think that will help.

But until you can prove to me that by upping our spending cost we are going to somehow still get the deficit under control, I'm not buying it because it's some point and I know some of you guys think that maybe we shouldn't be as concerned about the deficit as I am. At some point, that deficit is going to get to a point that we can't sustain it. In my personal opinion, we're already there. We're going to get to the point where we're not going to be

able to borrow the money. We're not going to be able to get foreign loans or help where we have in the past. And if we don't figure out a way to cut into this deficit. There's so much out there, people, and we've gone through it before. We've talked about areas where our government is wasting your money. We've talked about it many times, whether it's a study or whether it's funding a video game Hall of Fame or whatever nonsense that your tax dollars should not be paying for that

is out there. We've got to figure our way to start cutting that and stop saying, well, we'll sneak this in the bill because it'll help me get reelected. And at some point maybe we should stop just re electing everybody. This idea that we need to stick with the incumbent because well, he's been there forever and I know his name, has to come to an end at some point. At some point, we have to stand up and stop voting for people just merely because we always have. At some point,

we have to make those changes. Donald Trump can't be the one to always tell us who to vote for, because in some cases Donald Trump might not be able to tell you who he truly wants you to vote out, because again, he's still having to play the game up there in Washington. He's still having to get those votes, and in order to get those votes, he's not going to necessarily go after every swamp creature the way that

we wish that he would. So again, if you want to change this country and move us away from the out of control spending that we're currently in, you need to start doing your own research. You need to start paying more attention to their voting records and seeing what you can find out about these politicians that you constantly vote for. At the end of the day, when we get bad legislation, it's not the fault of the president. In many cases, it's the fault of us because we're

not doing our homework. How many times can you point to where your congressman or senator actually fought against Joe Biden actually fought against Barack Obama. Now flip that on its head. And again, I'm only talking to you who live in red states with alleged conservative senators and congressmen. How many times do you remember where they stood up to Donald Trump. I guarantee you that the count will be very disproportionate, because you will find where they stood

up to Trump. But they didn't necessarily stand up to the Democrats. And why do you think that is. Is it possible because the Democrats are more in line with their way of thinking? Is it because the Democrats line up more with them because they're not the conservative politician they've sold you to be. I don't know. I just want a more conservative form of government. I won't when somebody puts conservative on their push card for it to

actually mean something. Of course, we're seeing a change in conservative We're seeing more and more folks put stand with Trump again. And I want to talk about a special election here and in my part of the wood, where one politician, again running for a state office, put stands with President Trump on their push card. And I find that laughable because again, you're you're running for the state legislature, you're not running to go to Washington, so standing with

Trump is irrelevant. I want to know, are you standing with the liberal lieutenant governor in our state? Which I already know the answer when it regards to this person, it is one hundred percent yes. But no, you're going to plaster it out on there because again, your hope is that people don't do any research into you. Your hope is that they see, oh, she stands with Trump, he stands with Trump. I've got to put this out there because again, since I see that they stand with Trump,

I gotta vote for them. It's silly nonsense. People. I want to see voting records, not rhetoric. I've talked about it numerous times, record versus rhetoric. It's real easy for me to get up there and tell you the right things. It's real easy for me to get up there and tell you I'm a conservative. It's real easy for me to get up there and tell you that I stand with President Donald Trump. But then if you examine the record,

does it match my rhetoric? And if it doesn't, then you have to vote against me or whatever individual that is. If you consider yourself to be a true conservative, doesn't matter, matter how long they've served. It doesn't matter how long they have been in office. You have to stand against them. This is the truth, people, These are the real things that we have to have conversations about. But all too often we get that mailer, we get a push card, we see an ad in the newspaper, and we see

conservative stands with Donald Trump. We don't ask any questions. We don't even examine the fact that they're not even in a position where it matters if they stand with Donald Trump, because they're not voting on the Trump initiative. They're in the state government. They're voting on whatever leadership

there stands for. And if you have bad leadership in your state, much as we do here in the state of Mississippi with our terrible Lieutenant Governor Delbert Houseman, if that's who they're standing with, if those are the people that they're voting for, you have to vote against them. It's that simple. But you don't because you fall for the parlor trick. Now, rest assured, I believe that if

you're listening to this show, you probably don't. But if you are one of those who just looks at push cards and ads and reads the little catchy phrases or slogans, stop and examine that person's record. I can assure you that when you look into conservative scorecards of at least my two state center I'm not state senators, but US senators in Roger Wicker and Cyndey Hyde Smith, you won't

see a conservative scorecard. But when they come up for reelection, you will see them bragging about how they always stand with President Trump, even though they don't. And they're smart about it because a lot of the times when they don't stand with Trump, they do it when they know it's another five years before you're gonna see their name

on a ballot again. And they're banking on the fact that if they just switch and they start their push towards the right during that election year, you won't pay attention, you'll vote for him. And they're gambling on that because it seems to always work. That's where we have to improve people. That's where we have to get better is we have to start examining how these people are voting during their time in office and stop just reading the

push card nonsense and falling for it. If they're a rock solid vote, then yeah, you vote for him again. But if they're not voting your id rules. It doesn't matter that you recognize the name. It's time for a change. It doesn't matter that they send you a mailer telling them that the person running against him is the worst person on the planet, hates old people, children, and dogs. It's probably not true. They're going to that negative equation

because they feel like they're in trouble. They're scared. They're not going there because they feel like they have it in control. When a politician has an incumbent, has the race in hand, they don't even mention their opponent. They don't talk about them, they don't insult them. They just pretend they're the only one in the race. But when they feel scared, then they start the true negative bombardment. A lot of you folks claim that you hate negative campaigning.

You claim that you hate when somebody goes negative, but then you fall for it and you reward the person that is doing the very thing that you claim to hate, mainly because you recognize his name. That's the problem, people, is, we say we don't like negative campaigning, but then we prove that it works every time, especially when it comes

to an incumbent with inless amounts of money. That can they can just drop on their challenger who is probably cash strapped and trying to win on a shoe string budget, which is already hard enough as it is. But when you factor in the fact that this person has an endless supply of cash, guess what that means. You're dealing

with issues. You have to be smarter than to fall for the parlor tricks, because again, if they're distracting you with this kind of nonsense, if they're distracting you with these type of mailers and negative campaign ads, then I can assure you they are compensating for their own record. Bad records exist people, and we have to start to recognize that. We have to start to punish people for having bad voting records. Until we do, things aren't going

to change. And I'm sorry to be as blunt as I am, but I mean, if we're not willing to put in the work, if we're not willing to research these folks, then maybe the big beautiful bill is as good as we can get. Then maybe when we look up and we see a bill that's got some good stuff in it, but it's also oversaturated and bloated with a lot of stuff we don't like, maybe we can look in the mirror and say it's our own fault because we continue to vote for people that aren't going

to give us the legislation that we're asking for. We've never made them feel accountable. The ruling class understands that they can play you, because they always do. And at some point we have to start to eat, either accept the fact that we're being played, or that we're going to go over that financial cliff because we don't care enough. Is it the fact that the national deficit isn't as

sexy as a story is illegal immigration? Is it the fact that that story doesn't excite you the same way it does to see Trump crack down or crack the whip against foreign nations who foster terror. At some point we have to ask ourselves these important questions, because again, when we drive over that physical cliff, whenever that day comes, it's gonna be bad for all of us. It's gonna be bad for all of us, except for that ruling class up there. They're going to be our right. They're

gonna be our right off of your backs. They're gonna be our right because of us, not because of anything they've done. I can assure you of that. Yes, we need to figure out how we can start to take back this country. And I thought we were off to a good path with Trump because Trump's a fighter, and that's one of the things we love about him is he is a fighter. But as long as he's surrounded by swamp creatures, he's going to have to play the game.

And playing the game might be going along with the big, beautiful bills of the world that aren't the legislation that we should be celebrating. We've got to do better when it comes to who we surround him with in Washington, d C. Just Trump? Whoever is the next president following Trump. If it's a conservative, we need true conservative voices around him. If it's a Democrat, we need to have true conservative

voices stopping him. Ask yourself a question, because again, one of the things they always like to float whenever they give us bad legislation is well, we had to compromise. We had to compromise because that's the only way we can get something done. Where was the compromise on Obamacare? Where was the compromise on that bill that Democrats pushed

down our throat? Where was the compromise? People? When is the last time the Democrats compromise to get their legislation across the finish line, when's the last time they gave conservative something they wanted so they get past their sweeping legislation. It just doesn't happen. That's the reason Democrats win. That's the reason why when they are fighting for something, they win, and Republicans, well, they just folden cave because that seems to be what they do best. We're gonna pause right

here for a commercial break and we get back. We'll switch gears, folks. But again, I've got reservations about that big, beautiful bill. I know some people think it's the greatest achievement. We'll see how history judges it. But for me, it's just a big bloated bill. This is the right Side Radio program. We'll be right back. The Midnight Ride, the

home of the anti establishment movement. This network features great programming such as Chris McDaniel's America, God and Country, The right Side Radio Show, Paul Revere's Liberty Layer, and many more coming soon. So check out the night Ride today. Head to the Midnight Ride dot com and check out all the amazing content. All right, guys, welcome back here

to the right side radio program here. We are moving on in this show, but again it's we'll come look if something we're proven wrong on this big, beautiful bill, if it turns out offsetting the deficit increases the way that we're being pulled as opposed to will be the first to come back and admit what we were wrong. I just don't like it, and I think that it

was a unnecessary risk for sure. But we're going to switch gears after that and move into more news as we talk about the uh ice raids there and these protesters who have turned violent, these protesters who have decided it is okay to attack these ICE agents. If you listen to one of our recent morning coffees, you would have heard me talk about how the leftists worked on

dehumanizing these ICE agents. They compare them to Nazis just taking orders, And that's a ridiculous statement because these ICE agents are enforcing the laws. Yes, they're following orders in where they go, but they're not not This is not packing up Jews and syn them to concentration camps. I know the media wants to try to use that extreme idiocy because by doing that they can make us forget what the truth here is.

Here.

We are people watching and seeing how the American people are being lined to about these federal agents who were working on behalf of the United States government and this whole division that they're trying to create. As I talked about on that episode of More in Coffee, I think it's deliberate because I think they fundamentally hate what this

country's about. Look, California, if you want to invite thousands upon thousands of illegal aliens in your country, knock your or into your state, knock yourself out, but do it without federal funding, do it without the aid of the United States government. Go off on your own, California. You become a nation. We'll see how quickly you decide that you might want borders once you become a nation and

of yourself. The fact that you've got wrons from Hollywood who've never had a real job a day in their life out there trying to incite these idiotic protesters, it speaks volumes. Illegal immigration is a problem in this country. It's been a problem for a long time, and cleaning it up is going to be messy, and sadly that's something that Left wants to try to exploit. They don't

want to exploit the actual problem. They want to exploit that it might be a messy means of cleanup, it might not necessarily look the way that we want it to look. And by making ice agents out to be these mean, vile, despicable people, that means when you throw a rocket one it's easier to do because you're not throwing it in another human being. You're throwing it at a monster. You're throwing it at somebody who is an

agent of evil. When they're not, they probably have a family to go home to at the end of the night. But we don't want to talk about that because again, that doesn't fit our narrative. Our narrative needs to be that they are bad people, that they are evil, disgusting, vile. And that's why we continue to see these type of protests turn violence, why we see them think it's okay to strike an ice agent, because think about it, when you listen to the mainstream news media talk about them,

they're bad people. They make them look to be a negative force. They're going to show you the very human story of an illegal immigrant who came over here for all the right reasons, trying to better themselves. Start a new life. They're not going to show you the profile of the gang member who's come over here to further their drug empire, or their gangs drug empire, who's come over here to murder, rape, steal. They're not going to

show you those, but they'll show you the SOB story. Again, this comes back to a point we talk about a lot on this show, and it gets easier and easier to point out the instances where liberalism is not a logic based philosophy. It is an emotional philosophy. If you're an overly emotional individual, I guess what, You're probably probably going to flock towards a liberal ideology. That's something that

again I believe liberalism is an overly emotional thing. Again, do I want to help the needy immigrant family that snuck over here because they were trying to escape an oppressive government. Yes, most compassionate people would say yes to that for sure. But we have laws in this country, and before we can start focusing on all the SOB stories, we have to start enforcing them. We have to clean up our border. We have to start enforcing those laws.

Because for every SOB story like that, there's that vile thug that came across too. There's that drug dealer, that murderer, that escaped prisoner, whatever he is, who also came across this country illegally. Their story is important too, because their story could end a naturally born American citizens story, and we've seen instances where they've come over here and taken lives.

The answer is not going to be simple, and I yes, I do think that we need to figure out a way to improve our immigration policy, maybe simplify certain steps, especially for those trying to escape an oppressive country. But here's the other thing. We can't take everyone. We just can't. And I understand some of you think that we should, that we should just have open arms, but at the

same time, we can't. It's not sustainable. We're already struggling as it is as a nation, especially with the deficit that we've talked about about. We are struggling. We can't take on everyone. We're not going to be this sanctuary for the entire world. We just can't be. Maybe before we were fully formed as a nation, before we had fifty states, maybe that was a realistic ideal, but it's not any longer, and we have borders. We have to

enforce them. If we don't, this nation will crumble. I love the fact that our nation is inviting of all cultures and heritages. It is a melting pot. That is a true statement. But being a melting pot doesn't mean that we don't need to have laws and rules for coming to our country. If you want to come to our country and escape for asylum purposes or whatever, you should be ready, able and willing to become a United States citizen. And if you're not, you've got to go back.

If you're coming into this country and you are a criminal with a criminal background, I'm sorry. I don't think we can take the risk unless there's some way, shape or form you can prove that you are a political prisoner, which I don't know that that would be possible. We're

going to have to say no to you. It is what it is, people and these ice agents that are being demonized by the mainstream media, that are being called every name under the sun, by these Hollywood pukes who have never worked a real job a day in their life. They live a life of fantasy, and yet they come out here and they take potshots at real hard working

Americans who are trying to enforce our laws. They be the first one to call the police if an illegal broke into their home, but they're the first to try to say that this is inhumane, But it's not. It's painful, yes, but it is a necessary method to cleaning up the mess that is out there with these illegal immigrants all over our country. The bottom line here is we need to stop trying to make those who are enforcing our

laws the enemy. We need to start trying to figure out a way to fix this issue because it's already out of hand. We already know that there are some bad actors who have snuck in under our week week week border. They're the bad guys, not the federal agents. And for every sob story you throw out, there's a reason why we have to go down a path that we are currently going down when it comes to cracking down on illegal immigrants. Bottom line is, it's not sustainable.

It's not sustainable because a lot of them come over and then end up getting on the government dull. We can't afford it, can't afford how much we have on the government doll already. We've got to figure out ways to encourage again, if there are jobs that Americans don't want to do, We've got to figure out a way to force them to. Part of the problem is we have romanticized the fact that everyone needs to go to college,

that you can't be successful without college. Meanwhile, we're ignoring the fact that there's some people who are better suited for trades and they can make great money if they learn these trades, whether it's welding, whether it's plumbing, basic

repair and maintenance. But we're making people think that those jobs aren't good enough for them, so instead of pursuing that career, which might actually be a passion for them, they go to college where they're either ill suited or they don't know what to major in, so they major in something that they're never going to make any money out of. This is going to be a controversial take and some people are going to get mad at me for saying this, but college isn't for everyone. It's just not.

Some people need to learn a trade, and if we stop trying to put a stigma around that, maybe we do better and college could be a better experience for people instead of forcing them to take four years and multiple electives that they'll never use in their career, maybe we actually trade them on the career that they want to go down. If you want to go to college to be a journalist, the only courses you take are journalism courses. You won't go to college to be a mathematician.

You take math centric courses. We don't focus on a foreign language. We're an elective here or this or that. We focus on exactly what you want and maybe we can get you out in a couple of years. And when you get out, guess what you don't have anymore? A mountain of debt? Are these controversial ideas? Are these controversial takes when it comes to certain things? I don't know. I don't even know how we got off on that tangent, especially when we were talking about the dehumanization of ice agents.

But maybe if we do better for ourselves and try to figure out ways to improve the nation that way, maybe then we can understand when we're being manipulated and being told that folks who are working a job to enforce our nation's laws are bad guys, we'll understand that they truly aren't. This is the Right Side Radio program. We'll be right back. Hey everyone, This is Jack Fairnshawd's the Right Inside Radio program. Say big while getting the best night's sleep you've ever had. All right, guys, welcome back here to the Right Side Radio Show. Here we are in the home stretch of the radio show. The final segment of the program today folks, and there was a lot of controversy about the new Superman movie, which premiered this weekend. I had the opportunity to take it in Thursday at the early screening because I wanted to see for myself. Look. First off, I think most folks who have been longtime listeners in this

program know that I'm a fan of movies. I'm a fan of certain genres. I like superhero films. I like science fiction like Star Wars. Of course, if you've ever heard the License Review, Renewed or Reviewed podcast, you know that I'm a James Bond fan. So I am a big fan of movies, not always, not all movies, definitely

not a big fan of certain actors. But I'm a big fan of films, and in the instance of Superman, of course, i grew up with Christopher Reeves films, so I'm a big fan of what we saw with Christopher Reeves. I'm a big fan of those movies and have grown up a Superman fan all my life. So of course, when a new Superman movie is coming out, I plan on seeing it in the theater because I want to

check it out. The last incarnation was not necessarily the greatest interpretation of Superman divided fans of the character, so it obviously didn't work. This one, being directed by James Gunn, the director who did the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, which I've enjoyed all three of those, had me a little bit excited. But of course then we start to see some of the interviews with the director and it starts to sound like that they might make woke Superman,

and that started to trend on different conservative websites. Fox News went into the whole Dye tribe about Superman being woke. So of course I entered into the movie with certain reservations. And while I can see where some folks might be able to grasp at something and say, well, this represents that, I didn't think the movie was woke. I think the movie was more about defining humanity. Yes, the whole thing that the director said about how yes, Superman's an immigrant,

that's not really the thing. Now they do refer to him as an alien, because guess what, Superman is an alien. He came from the world of Krypton, so he is an alien. But it's not a woke mess. It's just a fun popcorn movie and it's probably the most comic bookie comic book movie in a long time. It doesn't take itself too seriously. It's got great actors in the person that they've got playing Superman, the actress playing Lois Lane,

and the actor playing Lex Luthor, all great casting. I can say that it was a good time the movies. It was not a woke, overly preachy bunch of nonsense. If you're a fan of Superman, I recommend that you check it out now. There might be a couple of things here and there that you don't like, like maybe a certain change here or there that you might question, But for the most part, I think they achieved the

job that they wanted to. It's doesn't retail Superman's origin story, which I think is smart because we've seen it so many times. Let's just go ahead and drop right into the action. But for some fans that might be a bit much because you are expected to already know what's going on and that this world exists the way that it exists. It's just a fun film. Yes, I wish the director would shut up with his politically charged comments, but I don't buy into it.

Now.

There is a conflict between two nations that some folks are saying could represent Palestine and Israel. You want to take that, you can, but that's not where I went with it, because I just didn't think that it one represented the other in the way that and maybe that's what is intended, but it just didn't. That's not what

I took from it. Again, I just thought it was a fun film about a man with extraordinary powers trying to figure out how to fit in the world, and because of that, it was an entertaining take on the Man of Steel, and again I recommend it. I did not find the movie to be a woke, offensive nightmare, and trust me, I was looking for it because again I'm like most of you, was told that's what we

were going to see. Your mileage on how you're going to enjoy this movie will come down to whether or not you like the comic the more comic bookie approach to the film. For me, as somebody who grew up reading Superman stories, Look, my brother is one of the biggest Superman fans of all time. He eats up anything Superman. Can't wait to talk to him after he sees this film to get his take on it. Maybe it might be fun to have him come back on an episode

and we have a discussion about it. But again, for me, having read those comics, having seen some of those stories, told the very comic bookie elements, did not bother me one bit. Matter of fact, it was fun. It was fun. I didn't spend too much time asking questions about why this, why that. I just sat back and enjoyed the spectacle, because that's what we're meant to do with a Superman movie. It did not feel like it was preaching to me about immigration. It did not feel like it was preaching

to me about woke ideals or anything like that. It just felt like a fun film. If you have a different take, I would welcome the discussion because maybe you saw something I didn't, and that's okay too. It's okay for us to disagree on something. But my point is, before we make up our mind on something, maybe we actually view it. Maybe we actually see it, and then we can go from there and say, oh, yeah, that's a woke nightmare, or maybe we say that's a bit

that's much to do about nothing. Now, look, I don't fault anyone for believing that it was going to be woke, especially if you listen to some of the comments from director James Gunn. Understand where that came from, because he did himself no favors. Fortunately for him, it looks like the popularity of Superman and the good word of mouth is going to off do it offset any damage he might have done with some of his idiotic statements in the build up to the release of the film. And

it is a fun movie. Is it the greatest movie of all time?

Speaker 4

No?

Speaker 3

Absolutely not. It's Superman, it never was going to be that. But it's a fun film and it's, in my personal opinion, not woke. It's just a fun popcorn movie, one that you don't have to think too much about and you just go in and just enjoy yourself and have a good time at the movies. That's what I did, and I look forward to seeing what comes next, because again it was It's a fun time of the movies, which is exactly what I wanted, especially having not gotten to

see any of the other movies this summer. The schedule as a reporter don't always lend themselves to the ability to see the movies as I want to see them. So we'll continue and maybe we'll make this a trend. We'll come on and have a movie review once a month. It's going to require me actually getting to see a movie or probably watch it after it comes out on home release or streaming, so I can actually sit down and watch the movie and not have to commit going

to a movie theater. But I don't regret seeing Superman, and I can strongly say that if you're a fan of the character, if you have kids and you're looking for some fun entertainment, I don't think Superman is preaching to you. I think it's just about a Kryptonian who can fly and has some amazing powers trying to figure out how to manage them. And I enjoyed the take on the character. What did you think? Did you think

it was woke? Did you not enjoy it? We can have that discussion, because again, maybe you saw something I didn't see. But I think that all the claims that it was a woke film were for nothing. I think it is a fun, popcorn movie and maybe one of the most fun rides this summer. Again, I say that

without having seen any other summer movies yet. Anyway, folks, well, I hope you guys have enjoyed this particular episode I enjoyed my break, but I'm back and I'm trying to keep things swinging, of course, with the day job being the way that it is and the delivery schedules that sometimes may rehab it on this releases. But we're trying,

of course. And of course, if you want to check out the latest episode of Chris McDaniels in America, it released on Thursday, I am guest hosting that particular episode without Chris, so make sure if you have not watched it already, but you go check out the latest episode of Chris McDaniels America over on the Midnight Rides YouTube page.
