We then united in our resolved to do something about it, which, whether we like it or not, spelled you. You and I have a rendezvous with destiny.
You tuned into right Side Radio all right? You have found that it is the right Side Radio program. Here we are recording this episode on Sunday, April the thirteenth, twenty twenty five, and we're back. We took a little bit of a hiatus last week and this show will be abbreviated, but we are planning on coming back with
a full length episode later in the week. But because of my sabbatical where we didn't do any Morning Coffee or a weekly episode, and basically hadn't had a weekly episode in a couple of weeks, I felt like it was a good time to come back, especially when I had something on my mind I wanted to talk about. But before we get into that, basically the reason why we went on a little bit of hiatus is just I needed a break. In the time that I have been doing the Right Side radio program, I've not really
taken too many breaks. There was a couple of weeks I didn't do a show after I lost my father. That's about it. Even the time I had to have my gallbladder out. When I got out of the hospital, our recording episode that weekend. Sure on Christmas, I have some pre recorded episodes and may take a break from Morning Coffee, but I just needed some time away, and I think that was understandable. During that time I had to guest host Chris McDaniels America along with Jim Sigelski.
Last week, I still did an episode of that show, which you can check out now on YouTube on the Midnight Rides YouTube page, or you can go find us on our social media pages and go check out that latest episode. But what I did want to talk to you about, what I really did want to try to come back tonight and just kind of talk for a moment. No, not about anything in the news today. We'll save that for later this week when we record a full length episode. But I feel like this ramp was going to be
a little bit longer than a morning Coffee. So that's part of the reason why I decided let's just go ahead and record a flagship episode, even an abbreviated one. We'll resume the morning coffees starting Tuesday morning. You'll have a Morning Coffee release. But I wanted to talk to you guys because I have a frustration, and it's a frustration that won't be something that you guys won't find unfamiliar, because it's a frustration that has been lingering for some
time for me. But over the weekend it was just brought right back to the forefront. You see, I have an issue with the Republican Party, especially the party in my state, the party in my county. This thought process that it's better to beat a Democrat with another Democrat. If they have an R by their name, great, they can have an R by their name, but they don't agree with us, and they're probably going to govern similar to the Democrat you're trying to beat. So you're not
really coming out ahead there. Oh, they got an eye by their name. They're running as an independent, but they were a Democrat before. We can ignore that now because they put it eye by their name. No we can't, No,
we can't. And that's what brought me. Brought me to the microphone tonight, is just conversations had with folks who are trying to push candidates that I know do not align with anything we believe, candidates that have questionable moral character, but they're trying to push them merely because they see Democrat and are like, well, we got to get the Democrat out. And the real question here is, okay, fine,
I can get behind replacing democrats. I understand that, But what happens when you replace a Democrat with a Democrat you get folks like Delbert Hoseman there in Jackson. Sure he's gone or be his name, but the guy's proven himself to be a true Don the Wall Democrat. It's ridiculous. That is the notion. Years ago, when Barack Obama came into office, there was a mass exodus from the Democrat
party throughout our state. And because of that mass asks this, there were several newly minted Republicans who had a lifetime of service as Democrats, who were able to get elected and be pushed in a direction to be a part of this party. Now, one thing they didn't do, and one of the things that I find very frustrating and very disgusting, is the fact they didn't bother to find
out if they were changing their philosophy. Yes, in the South, there were was a lot of what they called blue dog Democrats, those who leaned more our way than a true traditional Democrat. But a lot of these people weren't but weren't blue dog Democrats. They were just true Democrats. And now it seems our desperation has gone even further off the cliff where we're going to look at candidates with questionable moral character merely because the guy holding the
office now has a de bias name. We're going to push candidates that are not Republicans, not even switching to the Republican Party, switching from Democrat to independent because they wanted to stay out of a primary, not because they changed any bit of the way they view the world. In these type instances, it's probably best to stay out of the race. But no, these busybodies out there won't to try to show that they have influence. They want
to continue to try to push things. And what they're going to do is they're going to make things worse. They're going to make things worse, and they don't understand that, or they don't care to understand that, because again, they just want to say that they knocked a Democrat out, but they really didn't. They were pleased placed Democrat A with Democrat B, and Democrat B might be a whole lot worse than the Democrat A. And I'll say this too, if he is, you need to take ownership of it,
but you won't. You'll sit back and pretend that, well, you know, I just you know, I really felt like we just needed to be the incumbent here and get some change, and I didn't. It didn't change as what much as I wanted it to. It's a cycle. But this is the problem. And in too many cases they'll go and they'll find a die in the rule Democrat. They'll get them to run this Republican. Convince them, come
run this Republican. We'll get you some backing. Meanwhile, said newly minted Republican believes in everything counter to your platform, but you don't care because you're more worried about this magical, mythical numbers game that doesn't matter at all. I'm not playing that game anymore because, quite frankly, I'm sick of
that game. That game's gotten us nowhere, when we're just merely pushing a bad candidate because he was willing to come over and take the letter we like, or he was willing to at least remove the letter we dislike. I believe in voting for the care or the individual more than the party. I believe in looking at the
character of the individual more than the party. And I'm sorry, if you're going to come to me with somebody that I know for a fact has questionable moral stances, I'm not sure that I'm going to listen to a word you say, because I already know what I know, and you can try to give whatever spin you want to give. You can try to give me whatever nonsense you want to give me, but I'm not listening to it because,
quite frankly, I've heard it all before. I'm not some naive little twenty year old who's just going to be all struck because remember, the party came to speak to me. Now I've seen through all of your lives and all of your bs, so guess what, I don't listen to it anymore because I understand a whole lot more than I used to. I've seen behind the curtain. I understand when you name drop people it's supposed to impress me,
but let me let you know it does not. I can name drop people too, but I don't care to look the There are races, city and county races going on in my state this year. You may be in a state that has similar things. And my advice to you is question anyone who was with the other party and left it, whether they left it to become a Republican or they left it to become an independent, you should question it. Look, we played it your way for years.
You told us to give you control of the House, give you control of the Senate, give you control of the governor's mansion, the Lieutenant governor's office, and what did it get us? Nothing. We got a nonexistent income tax elimination bill, which really all it does is raise the gas tax. So it raised taxes, but it's pretending to be a tax eliminator. We got a congressional session that ended without a state budget, and yet we have Republicans
in control. So why is that happening? And the reason is because we're electing Republicans like the aforementioned Delbert Hoseman, who were truly Democrats. That's who he is, that's who he's always been. He's a terrible politician, but nobody within the state party will call him out. Nobody within the state party has the guts to say that that guy is an embarrassment. Nobody within the party has the courage to say that Delbert Hosman is the reason we don't
have a budget. Delbert wants to blame the House, but the House brought proposals to him. He didn't want to even consider them. It's his way or the highway, and quite frankly, to hell with that. Mississippians deserve better. And if you're listening to me in another state, hopefully your state is fearing better than we currently are. Hopefully your state is in a much better space than the state
of Mississippi is. Because right now, despite despite us doing everything you asked us to do everything you asked us to do, which will us make sure Republicans had control, make sure Republicans had the power and everything go right, But we can't even pass a budget bill. We can't
pass a true income tax elimination bill. Now, we can lie and we can spend, and we can get our friends at Fox News to try to push it like we did this, but something that doesn't go into effect for fourteen damn years isn't eliminating crap, especially when the gas tax goes up immediately. And this is all happening
under supposed alleged Republican leadership. So save your breath when you try to come to me and tell me that I need to vote for the independent in a race over the Democrat, because well, you can trust the Independent, now you can't. He was a Democrat before he was an Independent, so I can't. These are the parlor trick games, and they think they can pull that wool over our eyes. Some of us have seen behind the curtain, some of you have not. You might fall for it. Look, do
I think the Democrat Party is a terrible party? Do I think that if you're a Democrat you should probably consider leaving that party? Sure, but I also know that just because you do leave that party doesn't mean I should instantly trust you either. I need to see a little bit more than Blowhard's telling me that you've reformed from it, because I'm sorry, I'm not convinced. I need to see a little bit more than the blowhards trying to push you on me, because I'm sorry, I'm just
not convinced. And it's because I have a true lack of trust for the State Republican Party. And it's well earned, because I've seen them go out and recruit Democrats to help them in their bidding, and then once the Democrats help them get where they won't they don't hold them accountable.
They don't hold them accountable, and they allow them to continue to act as Democrats, and because they got an incumbent now by their name with that precious art next to it, despite the fact they're a terrible vote time and time again, they will do everything in their bloody power to protect them. I've got better things to do with my life then sit back and be a part
of an incumbent protectioncy protection racket. I do not want to do that, because, quite frankly, we've got some terrible incumbents in the state of Mississippi, and we have for quite some time. Not all. There's still some good ones, but you can probably count them on one hand. So no, I'm not going along with what you're trying to push. I'm not going along with the nonsense you're trying to sell me because, quite frankly, that's what it is. It's nonsense,
and it's stuff that I've outgrown long ago. It's just not going to work on me anymore. And I hope and pray that the majority of you listening have started to see through the nonsense as well, because the only way we're going to enact a true salvation of the Republican Party is to make them feel pain, and maybe some of that pain is to lose an election here or there. I know that's scary, but what are we really winning by maintaining Republicans when they're not doing what
we sent them there to do. What are we really maintaining when all they're doing is going up there and acting like democrats anyway, because we're not willing to hold them accountable. Look, it's preferable to beat them in the primaries, but if you don't, maybe stay home. If you just can't stomach voting for a Democrat, maybe you do something like that, because quite frankly, what you're currently doing it
ain't working. And it's about time we start to look for new and inventive ideas because if we don't start soon, we're going to continue to see lies like the income tax bill. We're going to continue to see gridlock like the lack of a state budget being approved, which means it's going to cost the taxpayers more money when the governor has to call a special session and try to
bring them back to hammer out a budget bill. This type of stuff should not happen when the Republicans have control, and if it is, that means they've lied to us about what they're going to be able to do if they hold power. We're going to close this one out right here. I told you at the start this was going to be a very very short episode, but I felt like it was a little bit longer than what
a morning coffee would routinely be. So I figured i'd make up for the fact that I hadn't done a flagship episode in a couple of weeks, come back with an abbreviated version of it, and again, this doesn't count as the flagship episode for this week. We should be back later this week. No promises on what day. That
really depends on when we record Chris McDaniel's America. But we will be back real soon, or we will be back to have a further discussion on more news, because I mean, look, we didn't even get into the hot topic of tariffs or any of that stuff. I just went off on a rant because quite frankly, I'm tired of that type of nonsense and I felt like getting that off my chest. This has been the right Side radio program. I'm your host, Jack Fairchild, and we'll see
you again real soon. Escape to Far River Resort
