044: Leading Through Change, Part 2
Episode description
In today's discussion, performance mindset coach, Sean Hansen, dives back into an inquiry from the leadership community on LinkedIn. That is, when it comes to organizational change, how do people react to and lead through it? An interesting historical example for leading through change comes from various Native American tribes that had a bifurcated leadership structure.
There was a peace time leader who was responsible for the day-to-day governance of the tribe during routine times. Then there was a war time leader who took over leadership during times of crisis or war when more decisive action was needed. Today's discussion looks at possible ways that this is accessed within organizations and what leaders might do to bifurcate themselves in adapting to crisis and demonstrating a different leadership behavior.
