029: Where Is the Light and Laughter

In today's discussion, performance mindset coach, Sean Hansen, looks at the upcoming year's end.  It's at this time of year that all the leadership and productivity ninjas start breaking out their guides for year-end reviews and setting up your big audacious goals for what you want to accomplish in the following year.

That is excellent.  For those looking for a tremendous resource in the tactical side of productivity, I have often recommended The Productivity Show by Asian Efficiency.  I have never met the people who run that podcast, but the advice on that show is on point and highly actionable.  Plus, they experiment with a ton of apps, software, and gadgets to help determine what really creates a more productive work day.

But, there is a piece that's missing from that discussion.  This exploration is inspired by a conversation I had with my friend and fellow coach, Dan Luna in episode 20.  Notably, where are you connecting to the light and laughter inside yourself?  Where are you allowing a seemingly never ending flow of tasks and commitments to drown out the light that once inspired you?  When did genuine laughter that flowed out of you turn into choked barks of sarcasm?  How is that you want to turn those things around in the next year?
