Episode description

THE RED TREEHOUSE IS DEDICATED TO MY DAD. I LOVE YOU, POP.

Join me in The Red Treehouse as I begin narrating one of the greatest and most influential horror novels ever written, Bram Stoker's Dracula.

First published in 1897, Dracula by Bram Stoker, is an epistolary novel that tells the story of the infamous Count Dracula as he moves from Transylvania to England and a group, led by Abraham Van Helsing that is hunting him down.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to narrate this story on the show—so I’m going to do it; though, unlike Frankenstein, I’ll narrate it over the next few months—a chapter here, a chapter or two there. The influence of Bram Stoker’s classic novel is immeasurable—with generations of storytellers, novelists, filmmakers, and horror fans deeply affected by his story.

So, sit back, turn down the lights, pull up the covers, and pay close attention as I read Dracula.
