¶ The Dangers of Overcommitting to Social Media
Okay, we need to talk about this because I'm seeing way too many people who are wasting their entire day commenting on LinkedIn. Like it's magically gonna get them clients. And I say this with love, but also with like a little bit of fire. If you are spending three, four, five hours a day engaging on a social media platform like LinkedIn, what are you actually doing? Like, really ask yourself that.
Because if you took even half of that time and put it towards recording a program, putting out a podcast, building out a funnel, mapping out your messaging, you could literally make six to seven figures a year or a month without touching a single comment thread ever again. Right? That sounds like a way better return on your time, on your energy, don't you think? I think, um, like I am not gonna do a bunch of things that I don't actually like to do to grow my business.
Because if I like, if the thought of being on social media every single day and scrolling through and commenting on this person and hearing about, you know, so and so's whatever happening, like, I hate commenting. I hate the dming, I hate the trying to force an engagement just to be seen the, you know, like, why would I try and create a, you know, multi five figure monthly business or a multi six figure monthly business and think that that is gonna happen?
Spending five hours a day engaging on LinkedIn. If you tell yourself that you have to engage for three to five hours a day on LinkedIn, how do you manage?
Like, no wonder you're not getting clients, because the thought of, you know, commenting for five hours to try and get your next client while you're managing three or four clients and then you have four hours of meetings and then five hours of this, that's like a nine hour day of, you know, and you haven't even done your content yet or any other business activity or payroll or, you know, any other thing.
So I really want you to ask yourself that because honestly, like I said, half of that time, if you put it towards anything else, you would have so many like you, you could easily add multiple five figures to your business right now if you just stopped engaging so much and you like, didn't feel like you had to do that to receive money, right? So that's where it's like, what are you attaching the, like, what are you attaching your circumstantial identity to? Circumstantial sales, right?
Like sales slowing down as a decision that you made, right? Like if you decided that it, if you do not engage on LinkedIn, you will not receive Revenue, then that is a decision and a reality that you are creating for yourself. Right? Like that. It doesn't say that you have to be there or have so many, so many hours in, in order to do X, Y and Z. Right. So what kind of rules and restrictions are you putting around what you're doing each day and what you're receiving each day?
You want clients, you want cash, you want peace, but you're still stuck inside of systems that drain you dry because somebody told you that's what works. Right. And you believe that you have to comment for 5 hours a day in order to make money.
¶ Reevaluating Business Strategies for Success
Where do you see your business in five years, honestly? Think about that. Because it's not a scene scalable system, it's not sustainable and is definitely not the kind of business that I want to have or that you should want to have either. Right. And I understand and I hear people say, oh, I would never, like, outsource my commenting. I would never do that. I want to be authentic.
And my response to that is to develop a higher opinion of what people are capable of and to also believe that, like, you can afford to hire help that can represent you in a very professional way that actually makes you grateful for that person. Right. That you can pour into somebody and like, help them help other people so that you could make a double the impact. Right?
So I think it's all about the way that you look at it and you understand, like leverage and why you're doing this thing and what the impact of your actions are. Right? So how many people am I helping if I'm commenting on LinkedIn for five hours a day? And how many people am I helping if I outsource that?
And I have somebody who I'm training consistently to embody my identity and how I think and feel so that they can approach people in the same mannerism that I would and the same care and delicacy. Right? Because that's what being a good leader is showing and training and leading and guiding versus like, being also able to do that and record. Let's say, you know, if I was recording five hours of podcast, that's a lot in a day. I could get a lot of things done in five hours.
So for me, I feel like that would like, literally triple my, my capacity to put that out. Because then the podcast isn't just here. It goes out on the blog and it goes to Pinterest and it goes to YouTube and like all these other things that are going to be happening behind the scenes shortly. Right. So that's A massive impact of people who can now hear the thing that I showed up to serve with, right? So I think it's just about understanding, like where is your time and energy going?
Is it thinking about what do I do so that I can make money? What do I do so it works? And then complaining about the entire process the entire time and talking about how it doesn't work?
Or are you going to, you know, like your daily commenting hustle will turn into high ticket clients paying you on autopilot and finding one post, binging you and then buying everything inside of your digital product suite when you simplify your business and you align it with how you actually want people to buy from you. Right? Let me break this down.
¶ Understanding the Value of Time and Delegation
If I was making under $10,000 a month right now, here's what I would not be doing. I would not be commenting on strangers posts for five hours a day. I would not be sending out cold dms, begging for people to book a call with me and trading more time for money, or, you know, working through that person's obstacles. I would not be pretending that busy means progress. I would be asking myself one simple question. How do I want people to buy from me?
And what is the journey that feels most in alignment with getting that to be my reality? What is the system that lets me speak once and sell forever for me, and probably for you too. That looks like someone binging my podcast, getting obsessed with how I speak, how I teach, how I move, how I think, being 100% in alignment and then going straight over to my show notes, clicking the link and getting access to my online programs. They don't need a hand hold. My ideal customer is a self leader.
They're so powerful, they don't need me to chase them down and tell them to go do this right. Like my person, my dream buyer, they are. They have such a strong desire to make money and to be the badass person that they were created to be that they are already clicking the link and buying things because they want to invest in their own expansion. Right?
So no, my ideal customer does not mean me to handhold them and convince them and tell them why they should pick me as a coach or hear about the last blah blah blah inside of some calls like no, if you want something, here is the link, go buy it. If you're ready to move, let's do this thing. And you're not. I'm not going to sit here and convince you. I'm not going to give you a free info session and you want a session with me. That's going to be $500 for 45 minutes, right?
Like, no. So if you only build your business around strategies that burn you out, you're never going to create a business that sets you free every day. You based on tactics that you're secretly, like, resent behind the scenes. If you're like, once I have a team, I won't do this anymore. Once I have this, we will tear this down. Or, I'm so excited for the day where we don't have to do this. Like, remove that from your world, right?
You reinforce the belief that business has to feel hard and that success requires sacrifice and that the only way to win is by doing more.
¶ Removing Old Programming for Business Success
So remove the old programming and you're probably thinking, like, but I need to stay visible. And it's like, that's exactly why you're stuck, because you believe that you have to be visible and commenting in order to generate revenue. That's the reality you created for yourself. So you don't need to be seen more. You need to be chosen more, right? People don't choose frantic energy. They choose grounded, certain, powerful leadership.
They choose the person who knows exactly who they are, what they're selling and why it changes lives. And they're not just, like, following the person who's doing stuff for engagement. They want to find, like, you want people to find you. You want people to find your content and you want them to be like, where the heck has this person been my entire life? I need every single thing that they have and I want it now, right? Like, that doesn't come from commenting.
It comes from, like, landing on your post, binging everything. It comes from finding your video on YouTube and then getting so connected after they spend three or four hours with you that they buy from you, right? It comes from someone having a really brutal day, landing on your post and feeling completely like emotionally. They're just emotionally bought in right away.
¶ The Importance of Alignment in Client Attraction
It comes from alignment. It comes from knowing your stuff. It comes from owning your energy. It comes from building funnels that make buying the easiest. No brainer. Yes. Somebody will say all day long, right? So you do not need to hustle in the comments. To be successful, you need a proven system that will bring clients in, right? One that moves in the background with or without you.
When that brings clients in while you're off living your life and creating and showing up where you actually enjoy being. Because you started this business for freedom, not to be tied to your computer for longer than you would like to be, with no time to even work with clients that doesn't make sense, right? So decide how you actually want people to move through and purchase from you. Build a funnel that makes the process super easy and a really no brainer situation. Create bingeable content.
When you create your content, don't think like what do I post today? Or like do all of these crazy offer posts that are like different branding and different this like create and curate a feed that is designed for somebody to binge you, right? Like so you're consistently giving them specific data, you're positioning. The solution being all of your different products. You're talking about why this is happening and showing them that.
Like I talk about why you're not able to create buyers in my content. I did that all last week, all this week. So if you're curious about what I mean, go look at that inside of my content. My socials are in the show notes below. You can click over there.
¶ Creating Bingeable Content for Business Success
So just create bingeable content and then hire somebody to do the parts that you hate because you will have more energy to pour into it, right? If you say, oh no, not right now, but you hate all of the stuff, then you're blocking your blessings. So you're better off to just like hire the person, allow them to do the things that they can do and then you get to focus on keeping your energy and your frequency in alignment with what your desires are so that you can actually receive them, right?
So it's about being honest and then it's not having like five minute faith, right? But believing that you get to win and it gets to be easy so that you do get to hire the person and have that person and gets to work out and the money keeps flowing and you can afford more people and more help and all of the things, right?
It gets to be simple, it gets to feel good and it gets to pay you very, very, very well when you stop filling your days with distractions and you finally start building the business you actually want. So no, I do not want you to spend your day commenting on Linked in hoping somebody buys from you. I want you to go and build the systems, do the selling for you while you live and you lead and you love your life.
