RC Newb Podcast - Episode 20: Nothing Much to Talk About

Ok, the title may be a little misleading. I hadn't caught up with Tim Smith for a while and in that time, he's been to a few places , done some stuff , and has seen a few things . If you want to find out what he's been up to (and find out about a fun contest that he's launching), you'll have to listen to the episode...or read the show notes. Aside from our always-entertaining discussion, he had two of his trailing pals, Mikey and Mark join him for the recording and they shared how they got into ...

RC Newb Podcast - Episode 17: Beep, Boop, @#$%@!

In an attempt to bring you some killer updates from the world of R/C, something happened to my recording setup and half of the episode was lost in a garbled mess of audio garbage. That said, I was able to salvage most of my Frankencrawler project recap and tease a few other items that we've got cooking. Sit back, relax, and let your ears enjoy show.

RC Newb Podcast - Episode 16: Three Guys Talking R/C (Pt. 2)

In our ongoing "garage chat", Josh, Tim Smith and myself continue our crawler discussion, including what items you need to bring with you when you're out on the trail. Mr. Smith also shared a few entertaining (as always) stories and fills us in on a few upcoming events he has planned. Josh, Tim Smith and I recorded a show last night that was unlike any other that we've done before. RC Newb Podcast - Episode 12: A Chat With Tim Smith (Pt. 1)

For this episode of the RC Newb Podcast, Josh and I sat down with Tim Smith of (appropriately-named) Tim Smith Racing. We chatted about a variety of things, all on the topic of our favorite hobby (hint, hint, it has to do with R/C cars) and we chatted for quite a while. In fact, we had such a great talk going, we decided to split the interview into two episodes. In part one, we focus on what Tim S. has been up to lately and get his backstory into how he discovered the world of radio-controlled c...

RC Newb Podcast – Episode 6: Death of a Track

After months of planning, scheming, and rescheduling, I was finally able to record a podcast with Josh Howard. We had a few items to talk about, starting with the closing of his local R/C racetrack and we rounded things out with a chat about ways to achieve a matte finish on a Lexan body (without risking scrapes and scratches). All told, it was a fun episode to record and I have a feeling we'll be scheduling a few more of these sessions in the future. Enjoy!

RC Newb Podcast - Episode 2: An Empty Shelf (Life)

We're back with another episode, but nothing much has changed. No intro music, no r/c truck and more ideas than I know what to do with. You can really make the vehicle your own with a custom body. Springs and Shocks - A simple and relatively low-cost performance upgrade for bashing or racing. Tires & Wheels - Performance m...
