It's Wednesday September 28, 2022 and I am your host, Ray Hanania

We're broadcasting live in Detroit, Washington DC, and rebroadcasting tomorrow, Thursday in Chicago at 12 noon on WNWI AM 1080 radio ....

Today we are going to focus on two issues,

In Segment 1: Today will are speaking with Arab News UN Correspondent Ephrem Kossaify on UNGA77, the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.

The 77th session of the General Assembly opens on 13 September under the theme, “A watershed moment: transformative solutions to interlocking challenges.” The theme stems from the recognition that the world is at a critical moment in the history of the United Nations due to complex and interconnected crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine, humanitarian challenges of unprecedented nature, a tipping point in climate change as well as growing concerns about threats to the global economy.

It is therefore necessary to find and focus on joint solutions to these crises and build a more sustainable and resilient world for all and for the generations to come.

Segment 2: Kevin Schumacher is the Deputy Executive Director of Women for Afghan Women (WAW) a grassroots civil society organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights of disenfranchised Afghan women and girls in Afghanistan.
