Episode description

Carter Niemeyer is a retired Federal trapper, wolf advocate, and wildlife biologist. He worked throughout Montana and Idaho for several decades and famously worked on the wolf re-introduction program in Northern Idaho. We spoke at length about data he uses to defend his position that wolves do eat big game but are a small part of the overall, state level population swings that species experience. Enjoy!

The Ranch Podcast is the premier source for long format interviews and information on the Treasure Valley and great state of Idaho. The Boise area is home to many counties and ways of life, as well as many law enforcement agencies, like Ada County and Canyon county Sheriff offices, Idaho State Police, Eagle Police Department, Meridian Police Department, and many more. The school systems in the area are also quite diverse. Boise school district and West Ada School District, though right next to each other, are quite different. Idaho's wildlife and Fish and Game are also second to none across the country, but themselves have many incredible nuances and a rich history that is rarely explored.

The Ranch Podcast is shot just north of Eagle, Idaho.
