Episode description

Mariana Fernández is a Peloton Tread, Yoga, and Meditation instructor who teaches classes in both English and Spanish and has connected with, and helped inspire, a massive and diverse community of athletes. Mariana was born in Mexico and grew up in San Diego in a big family that was led by her mother - a woman who was a trailblazer in the SoCal running scene and for her children, and continues to run marathons into her 70's!

In this conversation, Mariana talks about her path to Peloton, embracing her status at mid-pack runner while inspiring runners of all abilities, balancing a joy of running/racing with a love of competition, and how a circuitous career path can lead to great things if we are proactive within our circumstances.
