Pete Kircher first rose to prominence as a member of the band Honeybus during the 1970s. In the 1970s, he was a member of Liverpool Express and Original Mirrors. In 1982, he took over from John Coghlan as drummer of Status Quo. He played on two of the band's studio albums, 1+9+8+2 and Back to Back. He would also play at the Birmingham NEC in front of royalty, on the End of the Road tour and at Live Aid.
