Is the structure of the church today wrong?

In the past years, we've seen a rise in church scandals which has led people to ask, is the structure of the church today wrong? What is the correct structure? Perhaps if we change our perspective of the church from an organisation to an organism with Jesus as the head and us as the body, we can realign our view of the church in a more biblical way and less of a pragmatic sense as to how things ought to work.
