Episode description

We’re very happy to have Dr. Matthew Ercolani joining us today. Dr. Ercolani is a board-certified urologist and robotic surgeon, and in today’s episode, he will be talking to us about robotic-assisted laparoscopic simple prostatectomy, which is a viable treatment option for men with an enlarged prostate. Stay tuned to find out more!

Dr. Ercolani is constantly pushing the envelope in developing new advances for urologic treatments. During his training, he completed a fellowship in Laparoscopic and Robotic Urology, in Paris, France, at the Institute Mutualiste Montsouris (IMM), one of the world’s premier laparoscopic training centers for urology, and the birthplace of laparoscopic surgery for prostate cancer. Dr. Ercolani now teaches surgeons from around the world the techniques of the most cutting-edge treatments in urology. While teaching is an important part of his practice, his goal is to always provide state-of-the-art, compassionate, and high-quality care to the Florida Gulf Coast community, where his urology practice is located. He is also the founder of Elite Robotic Surgical Consultants, a company that provides robotic urology surgical services in under-served areas across the Western United States. Be sure to tune in today, to find out about the various treatment options, including robotic-assisted laparoscopic simple prostatectomy, for men with an enlarged prostate.
