The one target is the metaphor used to represent your promotional test. It represents the one big outcome you have. To reach your target, you must have a simple, single, obsessive focus.

It is crucial to start with the main target, then break it into smaller parts. As the saying goes, if you are going to eat an elephant, you would do it one bite at a time. The 4 Skills represent the foundational skills you must develop to ensure your success.

The 4 Skills used for a promotional test are study skills, speaking skills, writing skills, and application skills. Every area of the assessment center can fit into one of these four categories. These categories are not an exact science. You may need to be flexible when developing your training plan depending on the position you are testing for. Don’t worry too much about getting it right.

Regardless of the position, you are testing for, there will be an element of these 4 Skills you must address in your preparation.
