After a temporary hiatus during Chris' expedition to West Africa, The PrimateCast is back and looking forward to a great summer packed with interviews that we've racked up over the past months.

In today's installment, Andrew and Chris speak to Dr. Laurence Anthony, professor in the Center for English Language Education in Science and Engineering (CELESE) at Waseda University, Tokyo.

CICASP invited Dr. Anthony to PRI in February to give a workshop on the use of corpus tools in technical writing skill development, one of his main areas of expertise and current research foci at Waseda.

We talked about his work, and how corpus linguistics has infiltrated the way language is conceptualized in a diverse array of fields from technical writing to artificial intelligence.

For more information, visit Dr. Anthony's website at WASEDA.

The PrimateCast is hosted and produced by Andrew MacIntosh. Artwork by Chris Martin. Music by Andre Goncalves.
