Episode description

Believe it or not, it’s been 10 years since LOST ended. To celebrate, brothers Aaron and Josh Sarnecky are going back to the Island and reexamining the series finale.

LOST ran for six seasons on ABC, from September 22, 2004 to May 23, 2010. The series centered on the survivors of a plane crash stranded on a mysterious island. It featured an ensemble cast that included Matthew Fox, Terry O’Quinn, Evangeline Lilly, Josh Holloway, Jorge Garcia, Michael Emerson, Henry Ian Cusick, and many, many more. LOST took the world by storm during its first season, winning the Emmy for Best Drama, unheard of for a sci-fi show at the time. But while the show as a whole was beloved, the response to the series finale was much more mixed.

“The End” is still one of the most divisive series finales of all time. Aaron and Josh go over their history with the series, what their reactions to “The End” initially were, and how rewatching it has informed their opinions of it. The two also discuss the lesser known epilogue found on DVD and Blu-ray, as well as the legacy of the show as a whole.
