[SPEAKER_11]: It's political Thank you, ridicul You think it's a part of whatever you are The politics part Shotsmith Pearson, Shownie Hamilton Hey, Jodie Hey, hey, hey Hey, it's a good day It's a good, well, or it might be a bad day I don't know, it could be It's a shroeninger's Wednesday Hey, we live through last night [SPEAKER_11]: Okay, see? [SPEAKER_11]: Okay. [SPEAKER_11]: I'm with you then. [SPEAKER_11]: Okay. [SPEAKER_11]: Then it is a good day because we live through last night.

[SPEAKER_11]: Hey Jeff talk to us last night, by the way. [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, well, let's talk to Tuesday. [SPEAKER_11]: Indeed. [SPEAKER_11]: We'll talk about Taco Tuesday and the current ceasefire or non ceasefire. [SPEAKER_11]: It's shrouding our ceasefire. [SPEAKER_11]: Depends on how you look at it as to whether it's actually a ceasefire or not. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh, anyway.

[SPEAKER_11]: glad you guys are welcome to us or we're welcoming you whatever glad you guys are here at the bar uh thank you very much for coming in from whatever radio corner of the world you are whether you're down in the Georgia area listening on Georgia now radio or whether you are listening on WCPT AM820 in Chicago maybe you are listening in the city's Minneapolis Saint Paul's AM950 and maybe you are listening on D2 or talk in Tennessee or on progressive voices radio worldwide wherever you happen to be or you know maybe you are one of those future people

[SPEAKER_11]: exactly. [SPEAKER_11]: We love you if you're listening on the podcast on your favorite podcast player or if you are subscribed to the politics bar dot com which we highly recommend that you do that look six dollars a month. [SPEAKER_11]: It helps us pay the bills and Lord knows we need that kind of the money. [SPEAKER_03]: And we do I'm almost being a fart sniffer at this point. [SPEAKER_03]: So come on children, I only pay 50 grand a year.

[SPEAKER_11]: So yeah, that's that was Pete Higgs have

[SPEAKER_11]: just saying that's that's kind of what i think of the fox weekend folks not exactly the you know that's that's anyway look if you go you subscribe you get the podcast ad free you'll get the drink of the day with the recipe and of course you'll get the news on tap it is all there check it out it's the politics bar dot com today's drink of the day by the way hmm that uh that could use a little bit of a salt that that actually makes me very hungry it's

[SPEAKER_11]: Hmm, you could say that. [SPEAKER_11]: You could say that. [SPEAKER_11]: I personally just think I would like to take this and put it in my hand and none of it. [SPEAKER_03]: You can totally do that. [SPEAKER_11]: See, for those of you who know, you know, and if you don't, well, you should. [SPEAKER_11]: There you go. [SPEAKER_11]: So, back to the news on Tapsons, we are here at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_11]: So, for those of you who don't know, most people have heard it.

[SPEAKER_11]: A lot of people. [SPEAKER_11]: Okay, I can't say most people. [SPEAKER_11]: A lot of people have heard of, of Schrodinger's cat. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. [SPEAKER_11]: The, you know, if you put it in a box is in a live, is it dead? [SPEAKER_11]: You don't know until you open the box, or shorting your cat versus peanut butter, also known as perpetual motion machine, that's, you know, where you drop the cat because cat will always follow. [SPEAKER_11]: Let's feed. [SPEAKER_11]: Right.

[SPEAKER_11]: But peanut butter on toast will always fall on the peanut butter. [SPEAKER_11]: Yes. [SPEAKER_11]: So if you strap a piece of toast with peanut butter to the back of a cat and then you drop it, it will just spin there. [SPEAKER_11]: Because I mean, [SPEAKER_11]: the cat likes to ride, you know, some cats like to go on the little looking home. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, but they can throw that cleaner and, well, okay, maybe there's that.

[SPEAKER_11]: But anyway, point being is the idea of anything Schrodinger is that it exists in two states at the same time. [SPEAKER_11]: Right. [SPEAKER_11]: That's the whole thing of literally scientifically where it exists in, you know, it's alive, it's dead, it's up, it's down. [SPEAKER_11]: And this is very definitely Schrodinger's ceasefire. [SPEAKER_11]: Because, so last night, it was, we kind of heard about it in that last hour.

[SPEAKER_11]: We didn't have a chance to double check it and we were hanging with Jared. [SPEAKER_11]: So we just kind of let it hang there. [SPEAKER_11]: And then after we left the bar, last night, they came down. [SPEAKER_11]: Yes, yes, it's actually a ceasefire Donald says, Hey, guess how long? [SPEAKER_11]: I know you know, Joe, but you, you hear in the bar.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, no, no. [SPEAKER_11]: You know, how long, even if you didn't know last night, if somebody said you before Trump announced the ceasefire, if you said he's gonna announce the ceasefire, how long would it be? [SPEAKER_03]: Two weeks? [SPEAKER_11]: Yes, because it's always two weeks. [SPEAKER_03]: It's very much the money pit. [SPEAKER_11]: Donald two weeks, exactly. [SPEAKER_11]: Now you're right.

[SPEAKER_11]: Anywho, so yeah, he said two weeks it's going to be a ceasefire, a lot of problems with this stupos ceasefire, uh, including the fact that there are a whole lot of things that they did not specifically outline, um, does the ceasefire apply to Lebanon?

[SPEAKER_11]: Who knows, does it apply to Israeli kind of, uh, what are the nuclear material in the [SPEAKER_11]: Although the markets reacted as markets always do they did they heard that Market shot up price a gas below a hundred dollars a barrel at last check But I've heard this from a lot of folks from Christian Romans from some of the other financial people You've heard rockets and feathers

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, plus you missed it, the price of gas goes up like a rocket and floats down gently like a feather. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's going to take weeks for it to go down even if it's at $50 a barrel today. [SPEAKER_03]: It'll take weeks for it. [SPEAKER_11]: And part of that is because it takes a while the milk bottle problem we've talked about milk doesn't just come at the store it takes a while for the milk to get from the cow Through the processing into the bottle in your store.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's the same thing with the oil the oil doesn't just you don't just pump it up out of the ground and poof stick it in your car tank. [SPEAKER_11]: So it takes a while to get where it needs to go and the price follows that. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but it goes up so much faster. [SPEAKER_11]: Uh-huh, how convenient of it. [SPEAKER_11]: Hmm. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, anyway. [SPEAKER_11]: We've got the stories on that in the news on tap in the first round and pulling back from the brink.

[SPEAKER_11]: So, the US and Iran did agree to pause the war to a two-week ceasefire and Trump did back down, but as we noted, lots of questions. [SPEAKER_11]: Now there were ships that were passing in the straight. [SPEAKER_11]: One of the things that I learned when I worked for [SPEAKER_11]: Liberian international was I a lot of modern technology. [SPEAKER_11]: You can view ships.

[SPEAKER_11]: You don't have to be necessarily in anything official and you can view where ships are okay They're transponders are are public right that way. [SPEAKER_11]: They don't you know crash into each other helps There were anywhere between three in nine ships Transiting the straight today depending on what new source you look at whether that's more than [SPEAKER_11]: Norma volume's 130 a day. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but it's more than it has been the last month.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, yeah, it's good. [SPEAKER_03]: That's good. [SPEAKER_11]: And these are three to nine non-eranian ships. [SPEAKER_03]: Right. [SPEAKER_03]: That's important. [SPEAKER_11]: Yes, because their ships, they were allowing through. [SPEAKER_11]: Of course. [SPEAKER_11]: Anybody else is they weren't. [SPEAKER_11]: Now there is debate as to whether they're actually charging a toll or not. [SPEAKER_11]: And Donald did say, well, we might go into a deal.

[SPEAKER_03]: where we'll share the revenue, they're not going to share the revenue with him or us. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh, yeah, especially because literally 24 hours before, he was threatening to wipe out their entire civilization, right? [SPEAKER_03]: God bless the Iranian people. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, they're going to go to God if you do anything. [SPEAKER_11]: There's a civilization. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: I, yeah, if you guys are going, this seems really stupid.

[SPEAKER_11]: Congratulations, it's not you, it's, you're, you're, you're not, you're not, you know, it's not crazy. [SPEAKER_03]: We have so much cleanup to do when he is gone. [SPEAKER_11]: There, there was a lot. [SPEAKER_11]: Well, people were last night as soon as he did it, and as soon as it was confirmed, if you went out on any of the social media stuff and you saw the Taco Tuesday memes because it was Tuesday and Donald, Taco again.

[SPEAKER_03]: But he also knew who to tell that he was going to talk because they made a lot of effort money. [SPEAKER_11]: Well, that's the thing short or they wait. [SPEAKER_03]: It's a short or they wait. [SPEAKER_11]: There's market stuff and then there's the the whole thing. [SPEAKER_11]: I don't even I don't think I even got it in there.

[SPEAKER_11]: I saw the story that you said and I we just didn't have room for today that it looks like somebody else was was writing the press release somebody at the White House was right for Pakistan right for the Pakistani Prime Minister to put out which he put out on Twitter. [SPEAKER_11]: which you go, hmm, what, wouldn't you just put it out through your official press? [SPEAKER_03]: You think. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: Anywho.

[SPEAKER_11]: So, uh, supposed to be deal discussed this weekend, depending on if it actually happens or not, uh, in Islamabad, Pakistan, uh, originally Vance wasn't going to be there, because they said it was too dangerous. [SPEAKER_11]: But then they're like, eh, what the hell? [SPEAKER_11]: We're sending Kushner and Whitcop, so we'll send [SPEAKER_11]: Okay, Kusher, we cover not the vice president, but also, Kusher is a son-in-law. [SPEAKER_11]: Think about this carefully.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's like it's too dangerous to send JD events, but we'll send Jared. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, he never liked him. [SPEAKER_11]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: There are reports that Donald wanted him not to be his daughter's husband. [SPEAKER_11]: True. [SPEAKER_03]: He's said it to, I believe, Chris Christie. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, yeah, but then but then there's that whole thing of you know anyway.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even want to Well, you know, the kids dad said Mary somebody wealthier than you and he did And his dad went to prison because of Chris Christie and so when Jared and Ivanka were doing the on again off again thing and they went on again [SPEAKER_11]: Oh, I'm, I'm aware of that whole thing.

[SPEAKER_11]: I just any anytime you get into the, the anything with a vodka and Donald, it inevitably brings up the grossness that well, the Donald and the Epstein and the young girls and well, you know what he thinks about his daughter. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, that's kind of why that brings, that's why I was just like, oh man, but you know, whatever. [SPEAKER_03]: All I know is that I see her as a younger girl and then I see her as an adult woman and she's had her nose fixed.

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: And her boobs are bigger. [SPEAKER_11]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: Daddy. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh, I'm sure. [SPEAKER_11]: Well, I mean, but remember Jared made his money off of Daddy too. [SPEAKER_11]: So maybe it's, maybe it's their money now that they got it. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh, oh, good thought. [SPEAKER_03]: I, because my Lonnie got fixed as well. [SPEAKER_11]: So yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: And she's already pretty. [SPEAKER_11]: All the fox hosts.

[SPEAKER_11]: They all, they all look the same. [SPEAKER_03]: It's, it's weird. [SPEAKER_03]: They go to the same guy. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, there are certain people in Los Angeles on like, oh, same guy. [SPEAKER_03]: Because you can tell by having the men and men and women look, it's like, okay, you're, [SPEAKER_11]: You know, they're all doing you exactly the same. [SPEAKER_03]: And I think, no, no, you know, like my face lift and how long ago was that nine, nine years, 10 years ago?

[SPEAKER_03]: How long have you been married 15 years ago? [SPEAKER_03]: Ooh, is that long? [SPEAKER_03]: They need another one. [SPEAKER_03]: 15 years ago, I mean, another one. [SPEAKER_03]: But it was like, I looked like me, but, oh, just not just wiggly. [SPEAKER_08]: Right. [SPEAKER_03]: You know, I sent it to old friends of mine. [SPEAKER_03]: They're like, no, it looks like you. [SPEAKER_03]: You just look, [SPEAKER_11]: As a place to some of them, I saw a picture of Jenny Garth today.

[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, bless her heart. [SPEAKER_11]: New book or something like that. [SPEAKER_11]: And I'm like, she does not look like she used to look. [SPEAKER_11]: She looks like baby. [SPEAKER_03]: And her colors. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Like it's just like, I was looking at, okay, Sheryl Lad and Kate Jackson and Jacqueline Smith. [SPEAKER_11]: Right, we had that in yesterday's news on top because they're 50th Anniversary's for Charlie's Angel, right?

[SPEAKER_03]: And Cheryl Ladd was so sweet about my mom. [SPEAKER_03]: By the way, she was very sweet. [SPEAKER_03]: Great. [SPEAKER_03]: Because she was on my mom's show in the summer things and they sang and it was very lovely. [SPEAKER_03]: But she's got too much fillers. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_03]: She never had these cheeks. [SPEAKER_03]: So why make them? [SPEAKER_11]: I don't know, I, that kind of thing I'm like, you know, I would prefer the real thing.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's, that's the whole thing with this, this whole ceasefire thing. [SPEAKER_11]: To me, a ceasefire is a ceasefire. [SPEAKER_11]: It means you stop shooting.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: uh... you know not an order to uh... bebe that you know he decided you know what screw it we're just gonna keep pound in the hell out of lebidon which is will then a rancese no no no no no no you you you two bebe and Donald you guys are together and if we're telling Donald stop then you get a stop bebe and bebe's like not i can do what i want and they're like then it's not a ceasefire is it no and he's he's like oh between us in the wrong fine

[SPEAKER_03]: but not us, and Lebanon, which was never a part of this thing. [SPEAKER_11]: Well, but to Iran, they said it was part of it. [SPEAKER_11]: It sounds like Donald original and you agreed to it, but Netanyahu didn't. [SPEAKER_11]: Netanyahu, by the way, there's a good piece. [SPEAKER_11]: Well, we'll talk about it in the second round. [SPEAKER_11]: There's a piece that comes back.

[SPEAKER_11]: We'll talk about when we come back about how, as we thought, now confirmed Netanyahu is really the one who drove Donald into this. [SPEAKER_03]: He was in the sit room. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: Well, let's talk about that week, I'm back. [SPEAKER_11]: It is a Wednesday night. [SPEAKER_11]: Bob Cesska is in the house. [SPEAKER_11]: We love it when he is here. [SPEAKER_11]: He, yes.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, Jody's got on her spicy Jody T shirt from the Bob show, which we will talk about that as well. [SPEAKER_11]: We got a great drink of the day for you too. [SPEAKER_11]: I love fresh new drink. [SPEAKER_11]: Come on back. [SPEAKER_11]: It's Wednesday night. [SPEAKER_11]: You're at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_07]: We'll be right back after we pay some bills at the politics bar.

[SPEAKER_11]: Wednesday night, here's Pontics Bar, thank you very much for hanging out with us, coming and joining us for wherever you are and thank you by the way to everybody who comments on our social media who leaves us messages in our voicemail and via text, you can do that too, 213-677-7258, that's 213-677-7258 or 213-677-sult,

[SPEAKER_11]: If you know, you know, thank you by the way to everybody leaving messages on Blue Sky and Threads, Instagram, Facebook, Substack, Twitter, and YouTube, we are at the PaulTix bar. [SPEAKER_11]: Which is where you're at right now, and Bob Sesska will be here later, so that's a good deal. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, first off, I nerded out this morning. [SPEAKER_11]: Okay, why?

[SPEAKER_11]: Because when St. Margaret that Mark Hamel said that I was correct, I was going to mention that that Mark over a blue sky in case you missed it, said great show Tuesday as usual, especially the part where Jodi accurately described the plot of a sitcom episode I did 54 years ago, hashtag, Lori's best friend. [SPEAKER_03]: You know what, I, um, the little 10 year old in me. [SPEAKER_03]: So it's a freak out that Mark Hamel knows my name. [SPEAKER_11]: It's pretty cool.

[SPEAKER_03]: He is one of, he and his wife and his daughter, nicest people I've ever met. [SPEAKER_03]: By the way, and I've met a lot of nice, they're one of the nice, I've liked it. [SPEAKER_11]: She was one of the few people that I know of, who has, was a die-edetic memory. [SPEAKER_11]: She remembers everything. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, like Mary Lou Henner.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, who I've met, by the way, also one of the nicest human beings you are, at least if the rumors to be told that's right, that's what I I'm Mrs. Hamel who she says called me, Maryl, and then it's Mrs. Hamel, and it's Mr. Hamel, and then I Chelsea, you know, again, you know [SPEAKER_11]: It's just, I mean, these are people that you know in your life. [SPEAKER_03]: No, I just bet them through Stephanie, by the way.

[SPEAKER_03]: I just, that's the first time I met Mr. Hamill and Mrs. Hamill and Chels. [SPEAKER_03]: And he's like, please call my mark. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, it's really hard. [SPEAKER_03]: It's really, really hard. [SPEAKER_03]: And he goes, please, and I'm like, he goes, okay, it's fine. [SPEAKER_03]: I understand, it's fine. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, I can call your daughter or her name.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's that's... [SPEAKER_10]: It's just, it's just what we do when we get used to meeting and knowing people as often as what we do. [SPEAKER_03]: It's just, and he just, the fact of Mark Allen knows who I am. [SPEAKER_11]: And we are we are glad that he is hopefully here in the bar. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh, I'm not going to over deny that and we can't confirm or deny it. [SPEAKER_11]: Some of you would be like, well, what corner of the bar? [SPEAKER_11]: I'm going to go over there, man.

[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, please move on, man. [SPEAKER_11]: He's just hanging out with us. [SPEAKER_11]: Thank you, by the way, for doing that as well. [SPEAKER_11]: And we'll get back to the news here because that's what we do. [SPEAKER_11]: In that first round, we are still talking about obviously the Iran War. [SPEAKER_11]: Now, Israel is claiming that the Iran Sea Spark doesn't apply to Lebanon, so they were beaten up on Beirut again.

[SPEAKER_11]: Around decided they said we asked nicely, we asked nicely, okay, fine. [SPEAKER_11]: Bam. [SPEAKER_11]: Close the streets of Hormuz. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: And then Caroline, she says, no, they didn't know that. [SPEAKER_11]: In fact, that's again. [SPEAKER_11]: B. S. Barbie, Lion her ass off today. [SPEAKER_11]: This was how she opened the, the, the, I don't what you want to know.

[SPEAKER_11]: I don't call it a press conference really because there's not a whole lot of, well, anyway, this was B. S. Barbie today. [SPEAKER_00]: The world has just witnessed a historically swift and successful military triumph. [SPEAKER_00]: President Trump started Operation Epic Fury with strategic military objectives in the United States has clearly achieved them. [SPEAKER_11]: Exactly what objectives are those. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we never knew what these objectives were.

[SPEAKER_03]: They didn't know either. [SPEAKER_11]: No, the service members, nobody knows. [SPEAKER_11]: Nobody freaking knows. [SPEAKER_11]: Actually, Dave wrote, who I mentioned, he's on MS now. [SPEAKER_11]: He's on MS now earlier today. [SPEAKER_11]: They broke them down earlier. [SPEAKER_11]: They said there were four objectives for the Iran War here. [SPEAKER_11]: He can list them and whether they were not. [SPEAKER_11]: They achieved them. [SPEAKER_11]: Here it is.

[SPEAKER_09]: So, at the very first press conference, I take Seth Gave, he described four objectives for the war. [SPEAKER_09]: I mean, just quickly go through them. [SPEAKER_09]: Number one, destroy Iran's missile stockpile. [SPEAKER_09]: The latest in Texas has been is only about 30% of Iran's missiles have been destroyed. [SPEAKER_09]: Number two, destroy Iran's navy. [SPEAKER_09]: no taking out the surface ships.

[SPEAKER_09]: I think they have achieved that goal, but they didn't end the ability to project power, and that's shown by this amazing ability of Ron to shut down the straightaway room. [SPEAKER_09]: They still control it, they started charging and told they might continue to control it, so number two not achieved. [SPEAKER_09]: Number three, primarily didn't lie around nuclear weapons forever. [SPEAKER_09]: Nope. [SPEAKER_09]: No, for the Secretary's words a month ago, not achieved.

[SPEAKER_09]: There's still a thousand pounds of rich uranium and side around. [SPEAKER_09]: That can't be used to immediately make a bomb, but it could be used in the future. [SPEAKER_09]: Number four, prevent Iran's proxies from destabilizing the Middle East. [SPEAKER_09]: Nope. [SPEAKER_09]: If anything, the ceasefire, I think, emboldens those proxies. [SPEAKER_09]: The United States tried to topple the regime with just air power. [SPEAKER_09]: Couldn't do it. [SPEAKER_09]: And it couldn't.

[SPEAKER_09]: prevent Iran from season the control of the Strait of Hormuz, that shows the failure. [SPEAKER_09]: The U.S. needs allies. [SPEAKER_09]: They didn't have enough ships. [SPEAKER_09]: They would have helped with that if they were just in a different way. [SPEAKER_03]: There were stuff. [SPEAKER_03]: This war should never have happened. [SPEAKER_03]: Iran has more power than it ever did before because it wasn't controlling the Strait until now.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, it was it was basically open. [SPEAKER_11]: It was basically before we had official immigration and border policies, basically the policy was, well, this is my land and that's yours to you know, whatever. [SPEAKER_11]: Walk across. [SPEAKER_11]: That's fine. [SPEAKER_03]: Right through, we're fine. [SPEAKER_11]: For people who are like, oh my God, do you believe that? [SPEAKER_11]: I'm like have you been in residential America in in your standard suburban houses?

[SPEAKER_11]: where you get yard and yard and no fence between them. [SPEAKER_11]: Congratulations, that's the same thing. [SPEAKER_11]: No difference. [SPEAKER_11]: Anyway, so... [SPEAKER_11]: But they clearly, they did not achieve the objectives. [SPEAKER_11]: We're pretty certain that the objectives were not, and then there was these cyber stuff. [SPEAKER_11]: So... [SPEAKER_11]: over this last couple of days.

[SPEAKER_11]: Obviously as we joke and we saw taco Tuesday meant that the internet erupted in taco memes. [SPEAKER_11]: But also, Iran has been poking around online, cyber warfare, basically. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh, there's great attackers. [SPEAKER_11]: We've got that story there in the news on tap, as well. [SPEAKER_11]: And of course, we did mention, I was wrong earlier. [SPEAKER_11]: I said, I didn't think we had room. [SPEAKER_11]: I did get it in there.

[SPEAKER_11]: The Pakistan Social Media, but then you guys can read that whole piece. [SPEAKER_11]: That's in there under the Warren piece in the digital age, all of this. [SPEAKER_11]: And then, of course, the Democrats are still calling online to remove Trump from office. [SPEAKER_11]: and I get it, I really do and and it's pressure. [SPEAKER_11]: I am pathize and I'm all the divided mind on that myself.

[SPEAKER_11]: Okay, because part of me says I think it's, I think it's good that Democrats are saying it, but I think a lot of them are doing it wrong. [SPEAKER_11]: How? [SPEAKER_11]: Which is easier, impeachment? [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, impeachment is way easier. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, but a lot of them are going 24th of the moment, but I think you just keep just keep it. [SPEAKER_11]: Right, but then keep then keep the message simple to remove him in any way you can. [SPEAKER_03]: That's it.

[SPEAKER_11]: This is this is where the problem of Democratic messaging of going, you know, 18 different messages. [SPEAKER_11]: Pick one. [SPEAKER_03]: No, I agree that it's like remove him at any cost. [SPEAKER_03]: Let's.

[SPEAKER_03]: impeach and try to pressure remove them at any legal cost and that's what takes three quarters of both houses to remove him right without any treatment right if you're if you're dealing with with uh twenty minutes it's three quarters of each house to without the cabinet just to get him out whereas impeachment is I got to have his just a bear majority of the in the house and then sixty seven votes in the Senate. [SPEAKER_11]: Right.

[SPEAKER_11]: Well, a lot easier to do it that way. [SPEAKER_03]: But Allison Gill said it was 23 people could get him out. [SPEAKER_03]: Good. [SPEAKER_11]: 23 and five for Dan five for wrote a good piece talking about how the 25th amendment isn't coming to save us. [SPEAKER_11]: Stop calling for it. [SPEAKER_11]: And really it has no teeth. [SPEAKER_11]: exactly. [SPEAKER_11]: It has to be because in order to do it, you would have to get JD Vengeance and a majority of the cabinet.

[SPEAKER_11]: Right. [SPEAKER_11]: You're not going to get that. [SPEAKER_11]: They would roll his ass out like weekend at Bernie. [SPEAKER_11]: Yes, they would. [SPEAKER_11]: Even if Donald Trump has some type of incident and he's not completely obviously dead, they will pretend that he is alive.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's Dave. [SPEAKER_03]: it's the movie tape at this point and what the problem is with the 25th Amendment and I like it but it's bad is that the problem is it's like the president appoints his or her hopefully her cabinet members so why would they no matter who it is say I'm going to get you out [SPEAKER_11]: Well, in previous administrations, it's because they removed the sworn oath to the country. [SPEAKER_03]: Hi, you're so cute. [SPEAKER_11]: I know.

[SPEAKER_11]: I also believe in things like hot fire and wet water. [SPEAKER_03]: It's a time well there's that. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: So the folks who are are mad at Democrats, because you guys aren't doing enough.

[SPEAKER_11]: this this is where the belling the cat thing comes that we've talked about before for those of you missed it it's an old isop's fable bunch of mice are mad because this cat keeps coming around and killing him finally cat goes off to the vet one day so the mice have a meeting and they have this little meeting and little old mouse gets up on the the little matchbox stool all these other mice have said they've had their thing and that the old mouse comes up behind them after all of them of kind of talked about all their

[SPEAKER_11]: And one of the mice just before the old mouse gets up. [SPEAKER_11]: One of them, the last one, he really gets the crowd's attention. [SPEAKER_11]: He says, I got a great idea. [SPEAKER_11]: He says, let's put a bell on a cat. [SPEAKER_11]: So every time the cat comes around, of course, we'll hear it. [SPEAKER_11]: And then, we'll just disappear. [SPEAKER_11]: It's like the underpants now. [SPEAKER_11]: Right.

[SPEAKER_11]: But the old mouse gets up on the matchbox and has his little stick cane. [SPEAKER_11]: And he says, okay, all of these ideas are great. [SPEAKER_11]: I just have one question of all you mouse. [SPEAKER_11]: mouse, mice is also a what he says, which one of you a holes is actually going to put the bell on the cat. [SPEAKER_11]: Great idea, but if it can't actually work, why just take the idea and shove it with a sudden don't shine. [SPEAKER_03]: There are pieces to pieces.

[SPEAKER_10]: can you build just because you were able to get that in there. [SPEAKER_10]: I love that. [SPEAKER_11]: But I also have a box with my son in the counter today. [SPEAKER_11]: So I don't know. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh goodness. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh there you go. [SPEAKER_11]: But but here's the thing. [SPEAKER_11]: The fact of the matter is Democrats can't do a whole lot. [SPEAKER_11]: But I do agree that it's important that Democrats should still come out and say just say it.

[SPEAKER_11]: And more importantly, Democrats should be saying why the hell aren't Republicans [SPEAKER_11]: Standing up and saying this tomorrow.

[SPEAKER_11]: Why are why are Republicans saying hey if you're going to have a deal Let's get the sucker and writing so we actually know so everybody whether it's the Iranians whether it's Netanyahu Whether it's Donald Trump everybody can see what's on the list of things that we're actually doing and of course They'll say we're doing that this weekend will until then Don't nobody overreact if everything's just a contract.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's just a handshake agreement [SPEAKER_11]: you don't know what's on it. [SPEAKER_11]: Even Warren Bobert doesn't know what's on. [SPEAKER_11]: Say Sean Lee's shaking anyway anyway. [SPEAKER_11]: So the thing is we will find out in the next couple of days obviously what's going on with this but [SPEAKER_11]: To me, it's an example of how the Republicans cannot govern, and there are more of those. [SPEAKER_11]: We have that in the second round today in the news on tap.

[SPEAKER_11]: So Republicans can't govern, and in one of the ways you know, the new DHS Secretary Mark Wayne Mullin. [SPEAKER_03]: Too many names. [SPEAKER_11]: Well, that's, that's why I go with what Dave, I go with what Dave, I go with what Dave calls Mark Wayne. [SPEAKER_11]: I mean, you know, I don't care what his dress looks like or, you know, how high his heels are. [SPEAKER_11]: Sounds like a drag queen to me, you just say it anyway.

[SPEAKER_11]: but uh... secretary moan is calling for states to lead disasters now instead of [SPEAKER_11]: reach across the table real quick.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,

[SPEAKER_03]: The last one was way too long ago, by the way, and the one in Northern California was even longer ago. [SPEAKER_03]: So we don't know. [SPEAKER_10]: The Northridge, right? [SPEAKER_03]: No, Northridge is 94. [SPEAKER_03]: 89 was the last big one in San Francisco. [SPEAKER_03]: So it's even longer up there. [SPEAKER_03]: So we're not sure which is going to happen. [SPEAKER_03]: We have a surplus because. [SPEAKER_11]: That's not something you want to surplus of.

[SPEAKER_03]: No, but we do have a surplus of money, but not enough. [SPEAKER_11]: Well, but that's, that's just it that the budget thing that people don't get with the federal emergency management with the federal anything. [SPEAKER_11]: Most states now have gone to this idea of they have to have a balanced budget in Nebraska. [SPEAKER_11]: I think we talked about that last week. [SPEAKER_11]: Okay, right. [SPEAKER_11]: The federal government does not know.

[SPEAKER_11]: which means the federal government can act as the lender of last resort for states. [SPEAKER_11]: So if a state has something horrendous happen. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, like, Alabama, which is a red state, you M.F.E.E.R.s? [SPEAKER_05]: Yep. [SPEAKER_03]: They have a hurricane or they have some sort of... Tennessee, Florida. [SPEAKER_03]: Tennessee, Florida. [SPEAKER_03]: Florida. [SPEAKER_03]: Anywhere that voted for Donald, they're not gonna take care of you.

[SPEAKER_11]: And they're definitely not in blue states because Donald was making sure that the team doesn't get very much, but that's just it. [SPEAKER_03]: That's how the power states fire yet. [SPEAKER_11]: The whole reason that FEMA exists is because states couldn't do it on their own. [SPEAKER_11]: The whole reason that government exists is because individuals and corporations can't do it on their own. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's got to be crazy, it's so easy to figure out.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, but Mark Wayne is decided that he wants to push it back to the States, which basically just means pushing it off his desk, like a cat with a, you know, pilot paper, or that. [SPEAKER_03]: Even Bush Jr. didn't do that. [SPEAKER_11]: No. [SPEAKER_11]: Nope. [SPEAKER_11]: No. [SPEAKER_11]: He just gave it to Brownie. [SPEAKER_03]: And Brownie was horrible, but better than that. [SPEAKER_11]: Better Mark Wayne. [SPEAKER_11]: I'll agree with you on that one.

[SPEAKER_11]: Look, it is, uh, it is Wednesday. [SPEAKER_11]: Bob Sasker is coming in. [SPEAKER_11]: Um, I'm thirsty, and I'm hungry. [SPEAKER_11]: You want to grab something here during the break? [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I need to. [SPEAKER_03]: Empanata, maybe. [SPEAKER_11]: Mmm, sounds like a good idea. [SPEAKER_11]: I think we got the perfect drink to go with that. [SPEAKER_11]: Come on back. [SPEAKER_11]: We'll give you the drink and the details. [SPEAKER_05]: Hang on.

[SPEAKER_11]: Jody and me hanging out with you on this Wednesday night test. [SPEAKER_11]: It is Humpty Bob will be in a little bit later And then we'll talk with him about what he was doing last week in case you missed it and what they don't have to do with how next week Ooh, that'll be fine. [SPEAKER_11]: Humpty is with house bar.

[SPEAKER_11]: Actually, we Tuesday next week Humpty is a different like I don't remember You know, I mean, look, I'm not I'm not gonna judge if if you like how on that particular way, you know Lonnie, what do you think about that? [SPEAKER_03]: the politics bar next week for Wednesday, have somebody else. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, I know. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't have how for Tuesday and then wait. [SPEAKER_03]: Carlos, Alice Rockies.

[SPEAKER_11]: Ooh, look at how, and Carlos, we got a whole bunch of good people, and of course tomorrow, Barb McWade going to be in, we'll obviously have to congratulate her about, you know, a great Michigan Wolverine's wedding. [SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_03]: And she's just so sweet, because John had a cancel at the last minute today. [SPEAKER_11]: That's fine. [SPEAKER_11]: That's fine, which, you know, can we, no, we shouldn't say who he's got.

[SPEAKER_11]: John's got a really good guess, come on. [SPEAKER_03]: It's Uncle Martin. [SPEAKER_11]: There you go. [SPEAKER_11]: Say, walk, you could say it. [SPEAKER_11]: I just know that. [SPEAKER_03]: It's Uncle Martin. [SPEAKER_11]: What's the easy thing to do if you guys are like how do you know who this stuff is if you subscribe to the news on tap for free at the politics bar dot com you guys get this every day will give you an email We send you all the news and the bottom.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's got the guess section tells you who's going to be in the bar tonight which is fun and You know on occasion will tell you who's coming up which is kind of fun. [SPEAKER_11]: Like it's it's free you can do that or you can just subscribe get the whole thing you get the podcast you get the drink of the day and you get the news on tap [SPEAKER_11]: If you subscribe, $6 a month, buck 50 week, it's a great deal, man. [SPEAKER_11]: Check it out.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's there at the politicsbar.com. [SPEAKER_11]: All right. [SPEAKER_11]: So is this, is this one of your favorite foods? [SPEAKER_03]: What do you say? [SPEAKER_03]: It's, um, if it's vegan or vegetarian, absolutely, it's a really good food. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: I like hand foods. [SPEAKER_11]: I've mentioned before. [SPEAKER_03]: I love it. [SPEAKER_11]: It's a, is a runza.

[SPEAKER_11]: Runza is kind of a, um, [SPEAKER_11]: Germans from Russia, Eastern European kind of a version of an empenata. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: So basically, it's, well, when I've ever had a party at my house, I always do finger foods because you don't want people sitting down with a plate and, you know, and spilling all over. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's just like, okay, great.

[SPEAKER_03]: I love this pasta that you gave me, but now I have to sit down and eat it and it's a whole and never understood. [SPEAKER_11]: The cat came over to play with it and jumped on the plate. [SPEAKER_03]: It's not even that. [SPEAKER_03]: It's just like when you're walking around a house and you're having a party, I want to be able to pick up something and eat it and just chat with people, you know? [SPEAKER_11]: It's like a bar.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's why you got, you know, bar snacks, like prayer pretzels and peanuts. [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_03]: It's just much easier than a sit down party just seems like. [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you for all the really good food. [SPEAKER_03]: But now I can't chat with people, you know? [SPEAKER_11]: It's just also the the whole thing about that kind of thing.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's just the fact that that you When you're in a bar or or having a party You really you want to be focusing on the people you don't necessarily want to be focusing on You know balancing the freaking plates on your right because if you can pick something up and walk around with it [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, which that brings us to the drink of the day, what is the drink of the day and what is the inspiration for today?

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, the drink of the day is a pastry war margarita because it's a good time and it's because it's nothing good for it. [SPEAKER_03]: It's natural and put on a day. [SPEAKER_11]: Yes, which we love national empanada day. [SPEAKER_11]: We love empanadas and this is a really good history. [SPEAKER_11]: I've been glad you got a whole bunch of of, you know, you're right at all down in here.

[SPEAKER_11]: Look, the original empanadas are linked to Portugal and the area of northwest Spain known as Galatia. [SPEAKER_11]: Somewhere around 715 AD slash CE. [SPEAKER_11]: This is the same thing. [SPEAKER_11]: Look, basically, the difference between the calzone and the empanada, their cousins. [SPEAKER_11]: There. [SPEAKER_11]: But it's, it's a hand-pied. [SPEAKER_03]: It put noters are slightly smaller than a calzone.

[UNKNOWN]: True. [UNKNOWN]: True. [SPEAKER_11]: And look, I look, I just like a lot of the facts that you had in here, and put on a traditionally filled with things like vegetables, tuna, cheese, chicken, beef, tuna. [SPEAKER_11]: You could have a besocci, or not so-socci. [SPEAKER_11]: Samosas are similar. [SPEAKER_11]: I think they're kind of... [SPEAKER_03]: They're very similar. [SPEAKER_11]: And like I said. [SPEAKER_03]: And Revealies.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if you look at how the impenodity is made, it's very lovely. [SPEAKER_03]: Revealies. [SPEAKER_11]: And if you're in a bit west, you know, runs us at, you know, of course, Chris Livawano's runs us as well. [SPEAKER_11]: Because he's a fan of the runs, uh, just saying. [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm looking at the one picture that I put up with, he's doing that and I've made Revealies. [SPEAKER_03]: It's the same kind of thing. [SPEAKER_11]: It's very similar.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's basically food in a pocket that you click you which is good But you got to have you got to have the right drink to go with it, and there are a lot of varieties of empenatas So today's drink the pastry warm margarita I guess we'll not work pretty well. [SPEAKER_11]: It depends if you like elderflower or not Don't mind it. [SPEAKER_11]: Okay, what is besides elderflower? [SPEAKER_11]: What is in the pastry warm margarita journey? [SPEAKER_03]: What kind of glass do we need?

[SPEAKER_11]: Pre-chilled, always. [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_03]: Plasses, always. [SPEAKER_03]: It's a cool glass. [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_03]: A shaker, some ice, an ounce of tequila, a rispato, is preferred. [SPEAKER_10]: Right? [SPEAKER_03]: Just so you all know, and our friend knows that. [SPEAKER_03]: The half-ence of the mess, Cal, also tequila. [SPEAKER_03]: Half-ence of Amaro, Montenegro.

[SPEAKER_11]: Well, I want to know, for those of you who don't know, we clicked the, you know, we, we made it a link clickable link for you there, basically it's, it's a botanical, it's kind of sweet kind of better, it's a cool kick, yeah exactly, and then you need to elder flower liquor. [SPEAKER_11]: Half ounce of that, right? [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, half ounce.

[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, of sunshine, but if you don't have it, whatever, top, elder flower, because it's gonna make a difference in the flavor of the said drink. [SPEAKER_11]: Go to your local liquor store and ask the people behind the counter if you don't know. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they'll help you. [SPEAKER_03]: And they won't give you a 750 ml of beer that give you a little drink. [SPEAKER_03]: Small, this one. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, a half ounce of fresh lime juice, a pinch of salt.

[SPEAKER_03]: Just timing, you're getting a tiny. [SPEAKER_03]: And your garnish is a lime wheel or wedge. [SPEAKER_11]: Which is easy because you squeezed your lime juice grass so that you have a lime right there anyway half of it you squeeze the other half garnish. [SPEAKER_03]: See how that works. [SPEAKER_03]: It's so easy.

[SPEAKER_03]: So you add all your ingredients to your shake or with ice shake and to cold strain it to your pre chilled cooclass and then you garnish with the lime wheel or wedge and [SPEAKER_11]: Manja Manja when when it margaritas are really good with empanadas, especially if they are salty if the it's the rare empanada that's a little bit more sweet and that's a much but I mean you know salty and savory go really well with margaritas in general.

[SPEAKER_11]: So if you want to put salt around the edge of the glass Amen, that's up to you man. [SPEAKER_03]: It's not required [SPEAKER_11]: Right, but if you want to, there you go. [SPEAKER_11]: If you missed any part of the drink of the day, you all know what to do, just subscribe at the politics bar and dot count. [SPEAKER_11]: In your entertainment section today, I don't know if you saw this this morning, Jody Craig Melvin was there.

[SPEAKER_11]: They're doing obviously devil wear's product too is doing kind of it's media stuff. [SPEAKER_11]: By the way, Barton Point has a new book. [SPEAKER_11]: She's going to start doing her media tool. [SPEAKER_11]: It's part of her, she's here tomorrow. [SPEAKER_11]: But devil wear's product is doing their media tool. [SPEAKER_11]: And, uh, there's a Craig is, Craig is a nice guy, but he is and sometimes he just, somebody tells him something and he just blurt's it out.

[SPEAKER_11]: We will not. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to lay the producer on that. [SPEAKER_11]: I'm a Jody on that one. [SPEAKER_03]: They're in his ear. [SPEAKER_03]: They're in his ear. [SPEAKER_11]: Olivia Rodriguez Matt Damon and Will Ferrell are the ones who are closing out the season this 51st season of SNL. [SPEAKER_03]: Nice. [SPEAKER_11]: Check out the details there, which I think, you know, all of those are going to be pretty good.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think Will is going to be the last one because that's how I do it. [SPEAKER_03]: That's as a producer of mine go, he's Alaska. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh, of course. [SPEAKER_11]: Of course. [SPEAKER_11]: And then there'll be a ton of cameos, too. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, God. [SPEAKER_03]: Jimmy Fallon. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, can you imagine? [SPEAKER_03]: They're going to cowbell it. [SPEAKER_03]: They're going to do everything.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: A Bruce Springsteen of the East Street Band as you know out on tour, Tom and Reload joined left hand and they played the clashes clamp down, first time they'd done that in 12 years. [SPEAKER_03]: Did I tell you I met Tommy years ago? [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, you know, you've told me you met Tommy this. [SPEAKER_11]: That's specifically why when I saw that because I was like, oh, the boss getting out, getting, you know, I haven't fun kicking out.

[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, they haven't played that song in a while. [SPEAKER_11]: And then it's like, oh, and Tom Morello joined the mom stage. [SPEAKER_03]: No, I mean, he, the first time I met him when he became famous. [SPEAKER_03]: I was at this restaurant with my sister. [SPEAKER_03]: We were always, we were ahead of the line because we always went in and coming in. [SPEAKER_03]: And so he was waiting in line. [SPEAKER_03]: And he was already in rage.

[SPEAKER_03]: And it was like the start of his fame. [SPEAKER_10]: Right, before magic, it's machine. [SPEAKER_03]: No, he was in rage at the time. [SPEAKER_11]: And he was super famous. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh, so he had gotten big at that point.

[SPEAKER_03]: oh yeah he was super duper famous he was just waiting in line like everybody else and I went that's him well he's a nice guy and I was carrying I went up and I'm like Tommy and he goes I'm like Jodie oh my god [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like, let him in, they're like, you know, we are. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, no, in. [SPEAKER_03]: And he was just, it's so interesting. [SPEAKER_03]: He's like, if you guys ever get to meet this man, he is, who he says he is.

[SPEAKER_03]: He walks the walk, he talks the talk. [SPEAKER_03]: He is one of the nicest human beings. [SPEAKER_03]: I met him before he was super famous. [SPEAKER_03]: And as being, I know that if I saw him, [SPEAKER_03]: today or tomorrow. [SPEAKER_03]: I'd be like Jody Hamilton. [SPEAKER_03]: He'd be like, Oh, my God. [SPEAKER_11]: He's like, you didn't have to. [SPEAKER_11]: You'd be like, I know. [SPEAKER_03]: He's so that guy. [SPEAKER_03]: He just, he remembers you.

[SPEAKER_03]: He's met you first off. [SPEAKER_03]: And secondly, [SPEAKER_03]: He walks the walk man. [SPEAKER_03]: He's just he's that guy and you would I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm wasting time No, but he's a nice man. [SPEAKER_11]: This is a time. [SPEAKER_11]: I had somebody messaged me on like go in busy. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm talking with Jody He's this I mean Tommy Merrillow is like The penultimate super nice rock star.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah [SPEAKER_11]: a lot of famous people are actually really nice. [SPEAKER_11]: My recommendation for how to, if you meet somebody famous, or if you're, I mean, first of all, pay attention, read the room. [SPEAKER_11]: If they got something going on in there, you can see just as a regular human, it's stressful, frustrating, whatever, probably not a good time. [SPEAKER_11]: But they got nothing going on, and it's cool.

[SPEAKER_11]: Just be like, [SPEAKER_11]: treat them like a normal person be like hey and you know compliment them be like hey I just want to say thank you for you know whatever they did movie music book whatever art whatever thing be like hey I just want to say thank you I think you're really cool and just treat like be be very flat in how you deal with it but positive [SPEAKER_11]: Most famous people will be like, hey, I appreciate that. [SPEAKER_11]: Thank you.

[SPEAKER_11]: They are especially don't make a big deal. [SPEAKER_11]: Don't be like, Hey, hey, look it's over here. [SPEAKER_03]: Hey, hey, hey, look it's a selfie. [SPEAKER_11]: No, don't do that. [SPEAKER_11]: You can judge when you're talking to them. [SPEAKER_11]: Read the freaking room. [SPEAKER_11]: If you can get a selfie, great. [SPEAKER_11]: If you can't find, you can just say, hey, you met them. [SPEAKER_11]: But that's, that's a good way to do it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's what we did flee. [SPEAKER_03]: We could have gotten a selfie, but we really enjoyed the moment. [SPEAKER_03]: Right. [SPEAKER_03]: And he was like, hey, peace out. [SPEAKER_03]: He was so nice. [SPEAKER_11]: very cool. [SPEAKER_11]: Pittsburgh Pirates are going to make somebody famous here. [SPEAKER_11]: I got it. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, he is a 19 year old. [SPEAKER_11]: I thought I always worries me a little bit about that kind of thing about them.

[SPEAKER_11]: You know, run it on and use them up and burn them out. [SPEAKER_11]: But we'll see. [SPEAKER_11]: Hopefully he's got good management to Facebook, correct? [SPEAKER_11]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_11]: Yes, ma'am. [SPEAKER_11]: So we'll see. [SPEAKER_11]: He's good player, but still 100 40 million. [SPEAKER_11]: 140 million at 19. [SPEAKER_03]: I want to read through that contract to go, if I get injured, what is going on, you know. [SPEAKER_11]: His lawyers will, too.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: WMBA free agency is opening up, A&SQ Collier and Plum are all going to be the big ones looking at 1.4 mil franchise tags just for each of them. [SPEAKER_11]: I'm glad that the women in WMBA are actually finally making some serious buck because they should. [SPEAKER_03]: It's about time. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_11]: Also, I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_11]: Look, your Bruins did very good that way, did your mom's Bruins this year.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm worried that he talked out and now he's seeing that, well, if they show him, he's seeing that he's taco and now he's going to actually do it. [SPEAKER_11]: I don't think so. [SPEAKER_11]: uh... no yeah but but also also in in the other part of the uh... non-good corrupt government from the Donald Trump regime uh... the dj which we also know is corrupt uh... the civil rights division is now investigating cassey Hutchison [SPEAKER_11]: I hope her lawyer still with her and that she's I would imagine that she has kept everything and that she knows because she can't she knows You cannot trust these people. [SPEAKER_11]: She used to work with them.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, she knows better. [SPEAKER_11]: Well speaking which part of me. [SPEAKER_11]: That's apologize for me You okay Well this this this it gets me makes me frustrated [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: Pam Bonnie, supposed to testify next Tuesday to House Oversight, what do you think happened this morning? [SPEAKER_03]: She said, no, f-u. [SPEAKER_03]: It's so good. [SPEAKER_03]: It's been a go-to-off. [SPEAKER_11]: I don't ever want to hear those words again. [SPEAKER_03]: He did.

[SPEAKER_11]: I'd like, yeah, but. [SPEAKER_11]: I know it's cool with all the three shirts and everything right don't not detestments by the way what happens here when you put pay I'm bonding she said no anyway but the chairman comor said that's fine we're going to allow her to skip the democratic chairman says no no no she's still going to have to maybe not next Tuesday but she's still going to have to testify so they're going to have to fight it out and argue it out.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think what we take control in January, oh, there is, there is some point. [SPEAKER_11]: Pam Bondi is, she's what, relatively close to our age, she's in her 50s, I think. [SPEAKER_03]: She's younger than I am, for sure. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, um, she's not going to get out testified before she's, you know, off the planet. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, my age. [SPEAKER_11]: I mean, I'm not, I'm not wishing her ill.

[SPEAKER_11]: I'm not saying, you know, if she lives a standard actuarial life, she'll be somewhere in her 80s. [SPEAKER_11]: Uh, that's 30 years. [SPEAKER_11]: She ain't going to get out of testifying. [SPEAKER_03]: No. [SPEAKER_11]: Just saying. [SPEAKER_11]: So good one. [SPEAKER_03]: We'll have a new DOJ because Todd Blanch is not going to risk anything more. [SPEAKER_11]: Right.

[SPEAKER_11]: I didn't even get in the whole Todd Blanch thing because I don't think that he's going to end up being nominated. [SPEAKER_11]: The biggest reason I don't think he's going to end up being nominated is because I love you to Donald. [SPEAKER_03]: I love you, Donald. [SPEAKER_11]: There's way too many skeletons in that closet. [SPEAKER_11]: And when you go under oath like that, you go have to answer. [SPEAKER_11]: He's got way too much dirt.

[SPEAKER_11]: That's one of the reasons why they would want to sell them. [SPEAKER_11]: Also in general, if somebody has been a member of Congress, [SPEAKER_11]: Even if they've been a member of the house, they tend to go a little easier on them because they're like, ah, you are here. [SPEAKER_11]: You understand how it is on Capitol Hill. [SPEAKER_11]: Right. [SPEAKER_11]: They want to get somebody confirmed. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: They bring in blanch.

[SPEAKER_11]: You're going to have all the Democrats and half the Republicans get out their legal guns and aim them squarely at him. [SPEAKER_11]: If you get out leasel, then people will be like, [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, Harriet Myers would love to talk to her.

[SPEAKER_03]: Uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-

[SPEAKER_03]: She was not qualified, but I would take her over Todd Blanch any day right now. [SPEAKER_11]: Well, I would take any of the Democrats, including the wonderful Judge Chris Taylor congratulations to her. [SPEAKER_11]: She won the Wisconsin Supreme Fort race and expanded the liberal majority in Wisconsin. [SPEAKER_11]: I believe she won by was it 20 or 30 points? [SPEAKER_03]: She won by a lot and it's five to now at that court.

[SPEAKER_11]: Well, it's it's it's five to left leaning versus right and two one by let's see 20 points.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: which very very good it's also six one it's six women in one guy there's only one dude all poor baby so if you're looking for a remedy for misogyny go see the Wisconsin Supreme Court well okay although probably if you're in front of the court you probably are not but i'm just saying they got six women on their court so you know what even the conservative she's a still a woman [SPEAKER_11]: True, through that.

[SPEAKER_11]: By the way, um, it's kind of sad that Sean Harris did not win. [SPEAKER_03]: I know, but he did. [SPEAKER_11]: He did amazing. [SPEAKER_11]: We have the link for the New York Times to gift links if you're not subscribed, don't worry, you don't have to pay for it either. [SPEAKER_11]: As they noted, right off the bat, and it's not like the Times to tell the truth quite like this. [SPEAKER_11]: Democrats pulled off the biggest shift yet among all of the House special elections.

[SPEAKER_11]: Sean Harris lost by only 12 percentage points. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: He shifted the 14th congressional districts in Georgia, 25 points to the left. [SPEAKER_03]: So, he made out of one this time. [SPEAKER_10]: Jodi's right. [SPEAKER_03]: Hadmatch! [SPEAKER_03]: endorse him, he would have won, but she was stupid enough because she was like, uh, Richard, she was talking about that today. [SPEAKER_03]: Hi, Richard. [SPEAKER_03]: We'll see you on Friday.

[SPEAKER_11]: Um, this Friday, no, this Friday, this Friday. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, we'll be over at, uh, over at his WCPTN, and we'll wait for him to go with Richard. [SPEAKER_03]: And, and 1950 in Minneapolis. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, so, uh, they're on both stations anyway. [SPEAKER_03]: But no, he said this morning, uh, somebody he had on this [SPEAKER_03]: because it had matched. [SPEAKER_03]: It was Kurt who has on. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh yeah, um, um, uh, from Indiana, right?

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and had she endorsed anybody. [SPEAKER_03]: She didn't endorse the Republican either. [SPEAKER_03]: So I'll give her that. [SPEAKER_03]: But she didn't, but, but look. [SPEAKER_03]: Had she endorsed the Democrat, we'd be like, okay, lady, now you're talking the talk. [SPEAKER_03]: You're walking. [SPEAKER_11]: We're talking about Wisconsin's perfect example of proof of that for those people who say, why run?

[SPEAKER_11]: Why should, why run, why run a Democrat when [SPEAKER_11]: 15 years ago, y'all remember, um, uh, this one person and they hit you in exactly what I was going for. [SPEAKER_11]: Uh, and what a jerk he was. [SPEAKER_03]: And then one bad eye is like, yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: Are you winking at me? [SPEAKER_11]: No, anyway, but um, Scott Walker and, and Republicans had taken over Wisconsin in part because Democrats had kind of let them, which sucks, but some areas they did that.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then they, the Democrats left the state. [SPEAKER_03]: Remember that? [SPEAKER_11]: Mm-hmm, but the Democrats in elections kept coming back and coming back and coming back and coming back and And they lose some and they went a few and then they'd lose less and they'd win a few more and then they'd We have we have more than most people do in our election land section today in the news on tap Democrat Alisha Halvin's one She glad you can pronounce that name.

[SPEAKER_03]: I couldn't [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, well, or it may be Halvin's labin. [SPEAKER_11]: That could be it, too. [SPEAKER_11]: Anyway, she's up in a Walker shot. [SPEAKER_11]: She's going to be the mayor of Walker shot now. [SPEAKER_11]: Walker shot for those of you who don't know is a Republican stronghold in Wisconsin. [SPEAKER_11]: Not anymore. [SPEAKER_11]: She's the mayor and she's been on the council there and she's well-known Democrat. [SPEAKER_11]: She's mayor.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yep. [SPEAKER_11]: Traditionally, deep red wood county Wisconsin voters re-elected a left-leaning judge up was appointed by Democratic Governor Evers. [SPEAKER_11]: So the perfect example Wisconsin had faded was very purple. [SPEAKER_11]: It is now getting more blue again because they showed up. [SPEAKER_11]: They showed up every time they showed up like Sean Harris did in Georgia. [SPEAKER_03]: Keep going, John. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_11]: So congratulations to every one of you out there who was running for elections. [SPEAKER_11]: There's another one, by the way. [SPEAKER_11]: One of the, remember when all the MAGA candidates were taking over the school boards here about four or five, six years ago? [UNKNOWN]: I do. [SPEAKER_11]: back in in 2020 during the pandemic and then in 2021 as well. [SPEAKER_11]: There's a school board in the near St. Louis area.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's an area I know is a Francis Howell, one of the biggest school boards in the state of Missouri. [SPEAKER_11]: Voters got rid of the last magnet on the school board. [SPEAKER_08]: Bye! [SPEAKER_11]: They now have basically [SPEAKER_11]: people from the broad left, from the center, what used to been center Republican, the center right Republicans, but remember Republican parties and like them anymore, through some independence, through some liberal.

[SPEAKER_11]: That's, that's who's on their school board there. [SPEAKER_11]: And Democrats even flipped a school board seat in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and they went all in on a school bond measure. [SPEAKER_11]: So for those people who would say you can't raise taxes, Americans aren't going to vote for you to raise [SPEAKER_11]: Your school bond measure raises your taxes so that you can have better things at your school.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like lunches and, I don't know, security and the other things that you think books computer books so important supplies, if you, you know, like things like theater and sports and they all want to live in Gilliatte. [SPEAKER_03]: I just started watching the testaments. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh god. [SPEAKER_03]: Three episodes in.

[SPEAKER_11]: Oh. [SPEAKER_11]: The point is, [SPEAKER_11]: if you, if you make the fight, if you do it, people will come, but you gotta get out there and you gotta, you gotta make your case. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: You can't just say, well, we're never gonna win here. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: Really? [SPEAKER_11]: Well, you know, if you don't try, how will you know? [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_11]: So, you don't win any fights that you don't fight.

[SPEAKER_11]: You gotta, you know, make a count, man. [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_11]: And we congratulate us to all of the Democrats who won their elections. [SPEAKER_11]: And remember, more elections are coming. [SPEAKER_11]: So we will talk, obviously, about that with Bob. [SPEAKER_11]: By the way, in the polling and politics section, the Cook Political Report has shifted five more Republican House seats toward Democrats. [SPEAKER_11]: Nice. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_11]: And in the latest Cook Political Report, it also said, for Republicans to keep their majority in the U.S. House, they are going to need to win 76%. [SPEAKER_11]: of all of the toss-ups eats, which, admittedly, there aren't that many toss-ups seats out there. [SPEAKER_11]: Yay! [SPEAKER_11]: There you go. [SPEAKER_11]: Hey everybody, look at this here! [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, coming in the door. [SPEAKER_11]: Are you doing, man?

[SPEAKER_11]: I'm doing great are we on we are on commercial break so you know yeah we got a commercial and like a minute or a minute and a half whatever but it's fine oh I like your shirt I believe that's a yeah official professional F podcast product exactly and of course as you can see Joey has the fantastic

[SPEAKER_11]: You guys know what that means around here, right? [SPEAKER_11]: The idea of a pop-pop, like, whoa. [SPEAKER_11]: Ha ha. [SPEAKER_11]: Bob Cesska is in the house, everybody. [SPEAKER_11]: And we are very, very glad to have you, sir. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_11]: I know last week you were not here because Commander Ryker decided to, you know, he needed your assistance. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: Right.

[SPEAKER_02]: What happened was I had to record my interview show with Jonathan Franks and Armin Schimerman and Kitty Swanker. [SPEAKER_11]: During the evening here, we were going to know what would be. [SPEAKER_11]: For those of you who are there, I was later in the chat. [SPEAKER_11]: Subscribe at BobSeska.com. [SPEAKER_11]: So yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: But yeah, so no, it was a good if you guys missed it you could you should go see it It's very good.

[SPEAKER_03]: I create a cancer go just don't it don't it don't it don't it don't it if you guys can not work there you go. [SPEAKER_11]: Thank you Yeah, oh So how are you enjoying the I'm enjoying it. [SPEAKER_11]: It isn't he's not as well. [SPEAKER_11]: I'm enjoying it better than me. [SPEAKER_11]: Let's get rid of civilization [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, that's still on the table as far as I'm concerned because this is not over by any stretch. [SPEAKER_02]: I agree.

[SPEAKER_02]: This is Donald's attempt to fabricate some sort of out clause for himself, some sort of artificial victory, which is not a real victory. [SPEAKER_02]: He wants to be able to say, I solve 10 wars and he has not solved this war because it's [SPEAKER_11]: And that's that's that's part of the problem today that they were literally talking about is that that it sounds like From everything that that we heard up until I don't know earlier this afternoon.

[SPEAKER_11]: Um that Donald had basically accepted he said he accepted the the the the in theory the 10 terms that Iran had given which are all Iranian [SPEAKER_11]: right right one of which, but one of which was is real doesn't get to blow the hell out of Lebanon anymore. [SPEAKER_11]: That's right. [SPEAKER_11]: And then BB goes, yeah, if that have that noise, yeah, he never stopped. [SPEAKER_02]: Is real never stopped bombing has bullet. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's be clear about that.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's just continue. [SPEAKER_02]: There is no ceasefire. [SPEAKER_02]: There is no ceasefire. [SPEAKER_02]: That is not happening. [SPEAKER_02]: But there are reports indicating that we're still bombing Iran. [SPEAKER_02]: So that's yeah, that's all still going on. [SPEAKER_02]: So the whole idea of ceasefire is just made up nonsense. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not happening. [SPEAKER_02]: What's what I said?

[SPEAKER_02]: But even let's let's say, for example, these non-deal points, deal points. [SPEAKER_02]: These can't feel points. [SPEAKER_02]: I like it, but not we only deal points. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, let's just say they're legitimate. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's just say that these are actual deal points. [SPEAKER_02]: And let's just speculate for a second that the United States is real and Iran agree to these deal points.

[SPEAKER_02]: happen where we were pre-2018 or given where we were even two months ago, right? [SPEAKER_02]: This would be a loss because it actually improves Iran's situation from the implementation of the JCPOA up until the bottom, up from, withdrew from it in 2018. [SPEAKER_11]: But let's see, Bob, this new deal.

[SPEAKER_11]: might allow Iran to toll ships they're going into and then Donald says he's going to partner partner with the people whose civilization he was going to destroy just like 36 hours ago and says that will share the revenue notice he said will share the room not the U.S. and Iran will share the revenue but that Iran will share the revenue with me he says yeah oh yeah if you go [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: The straight of her moves was international waters where all kinds of shipping could travel through those waters safely. [SPEAKER_02]: So what? [SPEAKER_02]: So now we've arrived at a point where Iran controls the straight of her moves and Iran controls tools for traveling through the straight of her moves. [SPEAKER_02]: That is not a victory for the United States. [SPEAKER_02]: That is not a victory. [SPEAKER_02]: That is not a loss for Iran.

[SPEAKER_02]: No. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I really sincerely hope that we can muster enough activism and enough loudness on social media or wherever in order to prevent the mainstream news media from continuously referring to this. [SPEAKER_02]: And I know that that's what they're going to do because they're doing it already with the ceasefire. [SPEAKER_02]: Right.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want the news media to frame this as some sort of [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so we have to make sure we police the news media because I've been spending all day looking at news headlines that refer to a ceasefire that does not exist Other than someone announcing that there's a ceasefire. [SPEAKER_02]: That doesn't mean there's an actual ceasefire. [SPEAKER_11]: It's known as a ceasefire in principle. [SPEAKER_11]: It is a thing.

[SPEAKER_11]: It means they haven't signed paper work yet for it. [SPEAKER_11]: However, if not all parties to it, that's the biggest thing to me is that [SPEAKER_11]: Basically, Donnie said it, and the Iranians are like, okay, we're cool with that, whatever, that's fine. [SPEAKER_11]: So Iran was cool, that Donald was cool with it. [SPEAKER_11]: And then BB, messes it up again by going, you know what, yeah, if you, I'm gonna go, well, pound the snot out of Bay Route.

[SPEAKER_11]: BB Netanyahu is the massive fly in the Middle East ointment in some ways more than Iran. [SPEAKER_11]: And I really wish that the nice folks in Israel would just, you know, he is their version of Donald Trump. [SPEAKER_11]: BB is Israel's version of Donald Trump. [SPEAKER_11]: The people in Israel are much better, and they sure as hell deserve somebody better than BB Netanyahu. [SPEAKER_11]: There's a story. [SPEAKER_11]: We mentioned this.

[SPEAKER_11]: We were going to talk about it. [SPEAKER_11]: We got busy, but we're going to talk about it now. [SPEAKER_11]: We've got it from the New York Times. [SPEAKER_11]: We've got the gift link there. [SPEAKER_11]: It's actually from Jonathan Swan and Maggie Hamerman, which [SPEAKER_11]: I know I have my issues with Maggie too, but Maggie has had inside sources with Trump for years.

[SPEAKER_11]: I think with Judd Legum who used to actually figured out how she did it is that Maggie, at least back in the day during the first Trump regime, she had some type of a formula where she would put out a story that was bad for them. [SPEAKER_11]: And for every bad story, she put out like one and a [SPEAKER_11]: People got, oh my God, and I go, but that's why they let her stay and find out all the things she did.

[SPEAKER_11]: Anyway, so she and Jonathan Swan found out this story about how Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was in the White House in the freaking situation room, leaning on Donald. [SPEAKER_11]: The reason we're in this stupid war of the run is that Baby Netanyahu, [SPEAKER_11]: convinced Donald to do it in a certain way, in between him and MBS, they're like, here, we really want you to go fight a war in Iran for us. [SPEAKER_03]: How is this legal?

[SPEAKER_11]: It's legal, but it's sure it's hell, a lot ethical. [SPEAKER_03]: It seems like treason. [SPEAKER_11]: are traitorous they can convince they can do what I mean it's it's not illegal for them to convince no no no no no no no him in the set room [SPEAKER_11]: that's questionable, that's, depending on what else was in the same, that's part of tomorrow. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, definitely, we should ask Marma Clay tomorrow.

[SPEAKER_11]: She'll be, she'll be hang on the Marma and I, Bob, but the long and short of it is just the fact that Donald was so easily convinced. [SPEAKER_11]: It didn't take all that. [SPEAKER_11]: If there was, if it, if this was a proper convincing, you couldn't get it in a one piece New York Times article. [SPEAKER_11]: What I had to have been, it's own book, which I'm sure Maggie would have loved.

[SPEAKER_11]: But anyway, I'm just saying, are you [SPEAKER_11]: that Netanyahu and MBS from Saudi Arabia were like, hey, I got this, hey, you can get this douchebag to go over and start a war with the ran. [SPEAKER_11]: Sure, let's do that. [SPEAKER_11]: Who'll do it? [SPEAKER_11]: Don't you'll do it for us, right? [SPEAKER_11]: Donates, you scoops.

[SPEAKER_11]: Right. [SPEAKER_11]: Hey Donald, do you care if you end up spending a bajillion dollars of American taxpayer money and killing people? [SPEAKER_11]: I don't care. [SPEAKER_11]: Okay, well that's why I thought it sounds good. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, that's so I think that's something that Americans should be a lot more mad about. [SPEAKER_11]: Is the fact that Donald is such a dupe, such a room, such a moron, such a nuts. [SPEAKER_03]: He's a moron. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but he's he's nutsing his way all the way to the bank. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_11]: Well, that's the other thing. [SPEAKER_11]: He's he's he's yet to and and how are you? [SPEAKER_11]: What are you going to say? [SPEAKER_11]: He's yet to get his way all the way to the bank.

[SPEAKER_11]: But sure, there are 13 dead service members and they don't care how many hundred service members injured and I mean, if you're talking about people who are injured is railies are injured. [SPEAKER_11]: All right, hands are injured. [SPEAKER_11]: He got all kinds of people throughout the Middle East, injured and lots of dead. [SPEAKER_03]: Donnie doesn't care if he makes money and his friends make money. [SPEAKER_11]: Right, exactly.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like, like, Bob has been saying today, oil went down, but everything else went up and that one guy yesterday was investing all this. [SPEAKER_11]: There's there's got to be more than just here. [SPEAKER_11]: I mean, he's I you can almost bet that in order to get Pakistan the Pakistan You know doing this stuff that some of their people are going Hey, I'm talking down. [SPEAKER_11]: What about the you got any market tips.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh, sure And that's that's how things worked. [SPEAKER_11]: It's just That should be illegal It is illegal In it's insider try it. [SPEAKER_03]: Martha Stewart would have a word with you [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, but then the question they'll always say is can you prove it in, of course, since Donald has it's not really a department of justice. [SPEAKER_11]: It's an apartment of criminality.

[SPEAKER_02]: Is that C.C. [SPEAKER_02]: I remember Donald Trump is just a kind of sociopath who would engage in a war and recognize the fact that, well, there are military personnel that are killed in the process of this war. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: That's what they signed up for. [SPEAKER_02]: Didn't they? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: They're suckers and losers. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: 100%. [UNKNOWN]: Right.

[SPEAKER_02]: Soldiers to do what they were trained to do what they volunteered to do and we can do whatever we want with that because I'm the commander and chief and I can do whatever I want soldiers and so if it means The deaths of a dozen American military personnel probably more because we're not getting a full view of your correct That's that's just the shredded cheese in this taco right right so that to him that's justifiable because

[SPEAKER_02]: You know, again, we're talking about a CEO. [SPEAKER_02]: We're talking about a guy who's full focus is on profitability, right? [SPEAKER_02]: Is on normally is on enriching himself. [SPEAKER_02]: That's kind of caring as we say. [SPEAKER_11]: That because that is what CEOs care about is making money, profitability versus caring about things like the health of the people that they're responsible for, the financial health of the people they're responsible for.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: So this is gonna continue on and on and on. [SPEAKER_02]: We're still at war with the rep. And so there is gonna be one of the obviously most important sticking points in this non-deal deal is that Israel would not continue to bomb Hezbollah and Lebanon. [SPEAKER_02]: They have continued to bomb Hezbollah and Lebanon.

[SPEAKER_11]: So naturally Iran is closing the straight of her moods or has closed reclosed the straight of her moods are kept it closed Right, but it was it was we have right we we looked I looked on was it G captain I can't move One of the one of the the naval sites that I know and and there was between three and nine non Iranian ships that went through If you can't array and maybe I don't know 18 whatever, so there was there was some ships that went through today.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's fine [SPEAKER_11]: But on a normal day, it'd be a transit of like 130 some odd ships that would be going through. [SPEAKER_10]: Oh yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: No. [SPEAKER_11]: Not happening. [SPEAKER_11]: Because all because BB decided. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, rubed on he got him to do. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh, man. [SPEAKER_11]: He stopped my fun. [SPEAKER_11]: Well, screw hand. [SPEAKER_11]: I'm going to go bomb a rude anyway.

[SPEAKER_11]: That's that's net net Yahoo, like I said net Yahoo is a huge problem. [SPEAKER_11]: I really wish. [SPEAKER_11]: And look, I understand the rest of the world is saying the same thing about us. [SPEAKER_11]: They're like, we'd like you to get rid of Donald Trump, get him out of office. [SPEAKER_03]: We're trying kids. [SPEAKER_03]: We're trying. [SPEAKER_11]: We will.

[SPEAKER_11]: But that that brings you to the thing that Jody and I were talking about earlier about how some of the Democrats are our single. [SPEAKER_11]: Let's 25th Amendment them. [SPEAKER_11]: Okay. [SPEAKER_11]: Trivia time Bob. [SPEAKER_11]: Pop quiz. [SPEAKER_11]: Which is easier 25th Amendment or impeachment? [SPEAKER_02]: Good Lord, I think impeachment is easier than that. [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_02]: Obstition is next to impossible right now. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.

[SPEAKER_02]: I got a Congress, but I wanted to note here, too, that given the fact that last night there was a ceasefire announced and all the news headlines this morning are talking about ceasefires and administration officials are talking about the ceasefire and what a great victory for Donald Trump. [SPEAKER_02]: And, [SPEAKER_02]: You know what, today was the highest death toll since the beginning of the Israel-Hazbola War.

[SPEAKER_02]: So more people have been killed today with the ceasefire, then have been killed through the entire history of whatever summer weeks now that we're going to talk about. [SPEAKER_02]: Call it a taco hangover. [SPEAKER_02]: okay. [SPEAKER_03]: Makes more sense, right? [SPEAKER_02]: It is one maybe two people have been killed in the Israel Hezbollah war so far.

[SPEAKER_11]: And I'm sure the the overwhelming majority of them are likely just average Lebanese people of course they are not doing their thing not not involved. [SPEAKER_11]: They're like this is not our war [SPEAKER_02]: So we either agree to these 10 deal points where we didn't. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't understand what they have to do. [SPEAKER_02]: It is a thing fall to get our paper. [SPEAKER_11]: Right. [SPEAKER_11]: And that's the thing. [SPEAKER_11]: When something like this happens.

[SPEAKER_03]: They're signing things. [SPEAKER_03]: And everybody's like, yay. [SPEAKER_11]: Right, but the whole point of it is the fact that when something like this happens and your directly part of it or you are adjacent to it, the general rule of thumb and international politics is don't nobody do anything to mess it up. [SPEAKER_11]: Right.

[SPEAKER_02]: And baby Danielle who goes, I'm gonna do what I want, I'm gonna do what I want, I'm gonna do what I want, I'm gonna do what I want, I mean he may have reacted that way, but the fact is that there was nothing to keep him from doing that, there was no agreement for him to adhere to in the first place, so therefore he just continues it's status quo for

[SPEAKER_11]: Well, that's where that's where on the international field that the concept of being polite and things like that comes into play because there's a whole lot of international law that is an actual law and this is one of those times when it's a it's an agreement in principle everybody just goes everybody stay cool. [SPEAKER_11]: But no, he decided, screw it, I'm gonna do what I want. [SPEAKER_11]: And I do it, I want it. [SPEAKER_11]: Shut up, baby. [UNKNOWN]: Let me ring it.

[SPEAKER_11]: Sorry. [SPEAKER_11]: It's Wednesday night. [SPEAKER_11]: You got your Bob says good. [SPEAKER_11]: You got your hearty Hamilton. [SPEAKER_11]: You got me, Sean Smith Pierce. [SPEAKER_11]: And we have you hanging out with the bar and we are a very, very thankful. [SPEAKER_11]: Bob, can you stick around for one more more round, please? [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, indeed. [SPEAKER_11]: Thank you, sir.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yes. [SPEAKER_11]: The one, the only Bob says, gonna hang in at with us and you. [SPEAKER_11]: Here's politics, bar. [SPEAKER_11]: First in your drink. [SPEAKER_11]: Do what you got to do. [SPEAKER_11]: And come on back. [SPEAKER_11]: All right. [SPEAKER_11]: All right. [SPEAKER_07]: We'll be right back after we pay some bills at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_11]: Wednesday night, here's Father's bar, last call.

[SPEAKER_11]: Thank you very much for hanging out with us, hanging out with Bob as well. [SPEAKER_11]: Tomorrow, by the way, Bart McWade. [SPEAKER_11]: We're gonna be in next week. [SPEAKER_11]: Yep, we got Hal. [SPEAKER_11]: And we also happen to have Carlos. [SPEAKER_11]: It's gonna be a good week. [SPEAKER_11]: We will miss you, Bob, but that's okay. [SPEAKER_11]: We know that you need to bring him off, baby. [SPEAKER_11]: We'll be enjoying the time off.

[SPEAKER_11]: At least in your refrigerator. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, at the time I normally join next week. [SPEAKER_02]: I'll just suddenly sit bolt up right and go. [SPEAKER_11]: We'll just like, you know, look Wednesday night next week. [SPEAKER_11]: All the sudden we'll just tell everybody you ready?

[SPEAKER_11]: Okay, one two three [SPEAKER_11]: I'll just imagine that how exact if you guys miss by the way any part of the show you guys know to do subscribe at the politics bar dot com six dollars a month it gets you the podcast ad free it gets you the drink of the day with the recipe and the news on tap it's all there at the politics bar dot

[SPEAKER_11]: Also, you can go to the politicsbar.com store and get yourself a nice t-shirt or you can go to thebobsesca.com store and get yourself a nice t-shirt. [SPEAKER_11]: So we got lots of shirts. [SPEAKER_11]: You can tell people the places that you listen to and the people you like to hang out with just by putting it on your shirt and people are like, where are you just point? [SPEAKER_11]: You don't have to say anything, just point, you're good.

[SPEAKER_11]: So obviously yesterday was Tuesday and we often talk with you about winning elections, Bob. [SPEAKER_11]: I don't know if you How many of those you paid attention to because there weren't a lot more than the mainstream media has been talking about last night Yeah, I [SPEAKER_02]: not really up to speed on every single one of them, but the Democrats continue to over perform. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_02]: The Georgia 14th.

[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: Long performance there. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, significantly, outpacing Donald Trump's margin of victory. [SPEAKER_11]: So please, 25.25 points in left is what Sean Harris moved the Georgia 14th. [SPEAKER_11]: That's huge. [SPEAKER_02]: And then the liberals will control the Wisconsin Supreme Court until 2030, which is correct, correct.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yep. [SPEAKER_11]: So those are those are the two big ones and obviously they're both of those stories. [SPEAKER_11]: And the news on tap under the third round, what democracy looks like in the election land section. [SPEAKER_11]: Chris Taylor obviously great win for her 20 point win for her as well in Wisconsin. [SPEAKER_11]: So we're not going to go on the Supreme Court there.

[SPEAKER_11]: And, and look, Sean Harris, he's still running because this was just the special election, the regular election for that seat is this fall, so he's going to keep running. [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe, Matt, you'll endorse him this time. [SPEAKER_02]: And, maybe, but we can see if we get shot on the other side. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not holding my breath, but we don't know. [SPEAKER_02]: We can ask Mr. Mayor, if he's possible, it's weird or, we're very weird times, right? [SPEAKER_11]: It is.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, given the fact that we actually said Tucker Carlson was right here yesterday, which is, [SPEAKER_11]: that's a whole weird thing but oh yeah well talk of Carlson's running for president say yeah see I've heard johnny said that you you would say that I'm you on this now I don't I think I think Bob is right on this one yeah I think so he's for some office somewhere he's he's running for something with the eventual goal of president [SPEAKER_02]: his only mission is president.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he'd waste his time anywhere else. [SPEAKER_02]: Probably not. [SPEAKER_02]: And one of the things he's positioning himself to be is the anti-Trump fascist. [SPEAKER_02]: He's going to be the guy. [SPEAKER_02]: See, I was never with that. [SPEAKER_02]: I was never with Donald Trump. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't think. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I disagree with him on Iran. [SPEAKER_02]: I disagree with him on Epstein.

[SPEAKER_02]: And so here, because he's counting on the fact that Donald Trump and I think is a very real and very accurate. [SPEAKER_02]: forecast is he's predicting the Donald Trump will be extremely unpopular by the time we get to 2028. [SPEAKER_02]: Just be so utterly toxic. [SPEAKER_02]: I haven't talked about with. [SPEAKER_02]: whether it's former maga people or however the dividing lines bear out with maga people.

[SPEAKER_11]: If you look at by district down the Georgia 14th, if you look at by district, just you know, where we're in the 14th district, but the sub district, the precincts. [SPEAKER_11]: That's the word I was looking for. [SPEAKER_11]: If you look at the precincts in the 14th district, they moved every single one of them moved to the left. [SPEAKER_11]: Some of them as much as like 37 points. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, um, uh, Hispanics. [SPEAKER_11]: Absolutely.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: But yeah, no, no, you're right, Joe, go. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Of course the Latinos and Hispanics, because Hispanics are from Spain. [SPEAKER_03]: Latinos are from there, you're right. [SPEAKER_11]: You're right, but I'm just saying, anybody who has Spanish speaking, because I think that's how I saw it in the polls. [SPEAKER_11]: It's Spanish speakers, you know what?

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, they're like Don and they're more because you know what, but even even there was even even the white women moved a little bit to the left Which I was surprised at but I mean yes, yeah, which well, okay, I mean I suppose I'm gonna just like any movement at white women my age Okay, let's keep moving to left ladies come on here's the testament here's some of the other ones you missed Bob So Democrat Alicia I believe I was pronouncing it wrong the first time.

[SPEAKER_11]: I believe it's Halvin's Laban [SPEAKER_11]: She's up in Walker Shaw. [SPEAKER_11]: She's now the mayor or going to be the mayor of Walker Shaw Wisconsin, the former Republican stronghold. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, she was on the town council there. [SPEAKER_11]: Wood County, Wisconsin. [SPEAKER_11]: Deep red. [SPEAKER_11]: They reelected their left-leaning judge that was appointed by Governor Evers.

[SPEAKER_11]: And then if you look near St. Louis, remember all those maggots Bob who were taking over school boards here about five, six years ago? [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_11]: Okay. [SPEAKER_11]: There was one in a place. [SPEAKER_11]: It's just to the northwest of the St. Louis Metro. [SPEAKER_11]: It's kind of a bedroom community called Francis Howell School Board, one of the biggest school boards in the state of Missouri.

[SPEAKER_11]: They flushed the last of their maggots off their school board last night, and then in deep red Oklahoma Tulsa Democrats flipped a school board seat and they decided to go all in and passed their school board funding bond measure.

[SPEAKER_02]: These special elections are a much stronger bellweather of the generic polling for November, because I know Harry Anton was making a big deal about the fact that Democrats and Jared polling right now are not performing as well as they did in 2018 or 2006. [SPEAKER_02]: And the fact is that I think a lot of that polling is affected by Democrats, Democratic voters who are angry over congressional Democrats not pushing back enough or not doing enough to stop Donald Trump.

[SPEAKER_02]: We even though there is almost no [SPEAKER_02]: platform. [SPEAKER_02]: There's no power. [SPEAKER_02]: There's no lever of authority that Democrats can use to stop Donald Trump because too many people decided to give Donald Trump a compliant Republican Congress, which is second term. [SPEAKER_03]: You have some, you have some Harry Anton for me. [SPEAKER_03]: We do. [SPEAKER_11]: We do. [SPEAKER_11]: We do. [SPEAKER_11]: I've got some because Harry was Harry.

[SPEAKER_11]: I saw what you were saying the other day and he did that mob, but this morning he was all about the Democrats. [SPEAKER_11]: Here, let me play this off the DVR. [SPEAKER_04]: Only Toledo, holy smoke, holy cow, what are we talking about here? [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, look at these shifts, okay, and I want to put this in terms of historical perspective for you.

[SPEAKER_04]: Demes liberal exceeding the previous presidential vote, so in 2020, 25, 20, 26, we're talking about exceeding communal Harris, we're talking about exceeding communal Harris, the liberal candidate did by 21 points, 21 points, and this is part of a point where we're not just

[SPEAKER_04]: We saw the Democrat there, exceeding Kamal Harris by 10, New Jersey Governor by 8, and this is even better, even better than Democrats had back in the 2017-2018 cycles, where they were exceeding Hillary Clinton's baseline, but by 12, 4, and less than a point. [SPEAKER_04]: So this time around, oh my goodness gracious, Holy Cow, Holy Spokes, Holy Dewey, and of course we do.

[SPEAKER_04]: and I will note that Wisconsin Supreme Court performance last night by Chris Taylor which is the best for a liberal candidate in an open seat and at least at least 30 years. [SPEAKER_02]: I love him so much. [SPEAKER_02]: Holy Toledo. [SPEAKER_02]: That's that's very Jamie Far in the afternoon. [SPEAKER_02]: It's holy Toledo. [SPEAKER_02]: Holy smokes. [SPEAKER_02]: Holy cow. [SPEAKER_02]: Holy Russ is about to play him.

[SPEAKER_02]: He needs to use holy underwear from blazing settles. [SPEAKER_02]: That's important. [SPEAKER_02]: I love that movie. [SPEAKER_02]: One of my favorite movies, blazing settles. [SPEAKER_02]: Go for a little pet a man. [SPEAKER_02]: Screens. [SPEAKER_02]: Holy underwear. [SPEAKER_02]: And that movie. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's not heavy. [SPEAKER_03]: It's not heavy. [SPEAKER_10]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_10]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_10]: Love that one.

[SPEAKER_11]: But look, I do think that it is, I think you're right, Bob, in your assessment that these special elections are a better bill, whether especially in red areas, because that's where Democrats really have to get out. [SPEAKER_11]: And look, we saw it last week in the, uh, Jody, what was it? [SPEAKER_11]: Was that Florida? [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, right.

[SPEAKER_11]: Where where it was Republicans in the independence because there are way more registered Republicans in the independence there and they voted the democratic candidates in that's why Donald Trump now has a democratic state wrapped in Florida. [SPEAKER_11]: Because it's like, you know what, screw this, we can't know Republicans, no Republicans. [SPEAKER_11]: That's what people are pulling the lever for is anybody but a Republican.

[SPEAKER_02]: So where I'm sitting right now is I think the Democrats are going to significantly overperform the polling, if we're left to whatever power. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: And because if you look back at, you know, a resource like real clear politics to the 2006 polling in March and April, I think the margins were more like I think the Democrats had something like a 10 to 14 point advantage in the generic polling, whereas now it's somewhere around five or six.

[SPEAKER_02]: And that's obviously lagging way behind and we need a 2006 style midterm where the Democrats just sweep and we win back the Senate with a significant or you know what even better 2008 on the congressional side of things. [SPEAKER_02]: where the Democrats came out of that with 60 votes in the Senate, which is a veto proof majority. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, is it a veto proof? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think so. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think so. [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's a film master proof and they only had that for what was 70 days. [SPEAKER_02]: It's what period of time. [SPEAKER_11]: Right. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: But the fact of the matter is, I would love to see that. [SPEAKER_11]: And I [SPEAKER_11]: I'm just hoping you're right on that. [SPEAKER_11]: I can't disagree that I'm I'm seeing a lot more momentum that way and I'm not seeing the the Republican momentum. [SPEAKER_03]: No, they're not momentum being.

[SPEAKER_11]: They're not and they're not they're not they're not supportive of of because they're fracturing in so many ways. [SPEAKER_11]: We had a shared decobus in here last week. [SPEAKER_11]: And, uh, Sherry, we, we were saying, oh, you know, because look, there's basically the three categories of Republicans. [SPEAKER_11]: There's your Michael steel who are basically, uh, rhinos because they're not really, well, God bless him trying to keep the Republican party.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm with you. [SPEAKER_03]: Go with the wicks, maybe go with the wicks. [SPEAKER_03]: Just oh, wiggit. [SPEAKER_11]: Which Michael Kent, he can rock a wigg decently at times. [SPEAKER_11]: Anyway, then there's, then there's your, your, your maggots who, you know, Donald Trump tells him to go up to the fifth story, the parking garage and jump off and they go, okay, boss.

[SPEAKER_11]: And then you have your America firsters who are almost maggots, but they're so pissed because they said, you said no more wars. [SPEAKER_11]: And now we got this Iran war that's not a war that's a war, but then you want to go to Cuba and whatever. [SPEAKER_11]: And they're the same ones who also say, well, you said you've released all the Epstein files and you keep and Pammy's not going to go in now next Tuesday and what the hell is up with this.

[SPEAKER_11]: So that's that's your American version and sharing sister she goes, oh no, the story's not done. [SPEAKER_11]: There's like, [SPEAKER_11]: six, seven different groups, we haven't even begun for most of us to understand the complexity of the weirdos that are in there and they all hate each other's guts. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, like you got your country club Republicans who have pretty much had enough with all these nuts.

[SPEAKER_11]: They're like we have we have sat here and and taken the benefit from all of this for 25 years and now we're thinking about maybe saying something. [SPEAKER_11]: So, but they're, you know, I don't think they can act united. [SPEAKER_11]: And especially the moment that Donald's arteries jump in, they're not going to be united at all.

[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, in the freeze company, wacky misunderstanding category, JD Vance said the whole situation in the ceasefire, non-agreement agreement about not bombing Lebanon was a misunderstanding. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh, I'm sure that would be a great comfort to all those people who died. [SPEAKER_11]: What's that? [SPEAKER_11]: I'm sure that would be great comfort to all those people who died. [SPEAKER_02]: 182 people who died.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: Hey, defense says it was just a misunderstanding. [SPEAKER_02]: It's all because the misunderstanding. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Right? [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure Chrissy and Janet are okay with that. [UNKNOWN]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, they were not among the 82 thankfully. [SPEAKER_11]: And the ropeers, and we hope you enjoy your absolutely fantastic spring break Bob because you deserve it. [SPEAKER_11]: You work very hard. [SPEAKER_11]: Thank you.

[SPEAKER_11]: That's one week. [SPEAKER_11]: That's one week. [SPEAKER_11]: Did you know in two weeks, too? [SPEAKER_11]: Bar McWayne coming into Maranide. [SPEAKER_11]: We will see all of you. [SPEAKER_11]: I'll see you tomorrow, Bob. [SPEAKER_11]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_11]: At the public.
