[SPEAKER_07]: It's political. [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, ridicule. [SPEAKER_00]: You think it's a part where you are, the politics part. [SPEAKER_07]: Shotsmith Pearson, Jody Hamilton. [SPEAKER_11]: Hey, Jody. [SPEAKER_09]: Hey, Sean, why is it so bright? [SPEAKER_04]: Because it's daylight, saving time, you know, that the whole... [SPEAKER_04]: It's daylight at this end of the bar, and at your end of the bar. [SPEAKER_04]: It's a big country, but we do what we can.
[SPEAKER_04]: You know what, like we say, we aim to please here at the politics. [SPEAKER_04]: Bar, in fact, we know one of your favorites is coming back tonight to the one the only Bob Cesca, he will be here a little bit later. [SPEAKER_04]: Of course, obviously we've got the news of the day, and yes, it's the same whole war as yesterday. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, with it. [SPEAKER_04]: We'll talk a little bit about that. [SPEAKER_04]: There is some really good election news, though.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm excited to talk with you about that today, Jody. [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you, by the way. [SPEAKER_04]: Everybody who is coming in the door here from all of our great corners of the country here. [SPEAKER_04]: Whether you're coming from AM-950, Minneapolis Saint Paul. [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you very much. [SPEAKER_04]: much or the folks in Atlanta, Georgia now radio serving you up. [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you very much as well.
[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you to folks at WCPT AMA 20 in Chicago or the D2 we're talking Tennessee. [SPEAKER_04]: Thanks to both of you and of course thank you. [SPEAKER_04]: If you are listening on progressive voices radio worldwide wherever you happen to be or maybe if you are, you know, one of those, the future people. [SPEAKER_04]: Future people, duty says. [SPEAKER_04]: She's with quotes. [SPEAKER_04]: Well, I mean maybe maybe no quotes, maybe they actually are from the future.
[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_09]: Can they help us? [SPEAKER_04]: It'd be nice, give us the ballgame scores, and the... Just the historian to just start over from 2016. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm 100% behind that. [SPEAKER_04]: And I know I know some of you were like, look, look, look, the time thing doesn't work that way. [SPEAKER_04]: We're pretending here, okay? [SPEAKER_04]: Just be nice. [SPEAKER_09]: It did in a movie. [SPEAKER_09]: Three of them.
[SPEAKER_04]: multiple of them if you remember the whole list that was in the Avengers that that roadie went through that hole yet anyway hot tub time machine also that say exactly exactly exactly exactly big thanks by the way to Nicole Sandler who was over her place earlier today if you missed that you can get a coalsandler dot com and you can check out her podcast of us hanging out in her place which is always very amazing i love her [SPEAKER_04]: She's great. [SPEAKER_04]: I've known Nicole.
[SPEAKER_04]: We were talking to her. [SPEAKER_04]: I didn't realize it's like, oh, yeah, cause um both she and Francia LaFilde in for Randy when I started with Randy in 2010 and it being like 16 years. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_09]: Wow. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: I did not realize I'm like wait a minute wait a minute what oh, yeah, so it's it's been a few years.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not Steph almost that I thought that long It's just one of those words like well, and I I met Steph that year too. [SPEAKER_04]: I think with you because Randy had set from friends and whatever [SPEAKER_04]: It's this whole corner of the universe where we all know each other. [SPEAKER_04]: And of course, we all know Bob, which is... Bob stick. [SPEAKER_04]: Just a point, Dad! [SPEAKER_04]: Nope, never disappointed, not with Bob.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I know you're disappointed now because he's not here, but he'll be here later. [SPEAKER_04]: He will. [SPEAKER_09]: He confirmed again with me today. [SPEAKER_04]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_04]: No reason for you to be disappointed. [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you for whoever reached around me and pressed that button, not funny. [SPEAKER_04]: I think that's a little buttonbar to hear in the counter. [SPEAKER_04]: It's fine, whatever. [SPEAKER_04]: So, okay, nice sunny day today here.
[SPEAKER_04]: Was sunny in like 80 at this end of the bar? [SPEAKER_09]: You did it stupid hot right now. [SPEAKER_04]: Sunny and 80 at your end of the bar, too. [SPEAKER_04]: Did wait. [SPEAKER_04]: Jody's looking. [SPEAKER_04]: She's looking at her little thermometer thing at her phone. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, it's only 74 at the moment. [SPEAKER_04]: Well, okay, so, but it was so slightly warmer at this end of the bar, but I mean, it's it's nice.
[SPEAKER_04]: Christopher loved it when I took him out for a walk earlier. [SPEAKER_04]: It was great. [SPEAKER_04]: You know, things that you enjoy with, you know, you don't necessarily always notice these kinds of things. [SPEAKER_04]: Sometimes everybody's like, what do you mean? [SPEAKER_04]: And I said, well, here's the thing. [SPEAKER_04]: Sometimes when you've done the same thing for a while, some people are like, oh, it's boring.
[SPEAKER_04]: Remember last night, as we're wrapping things up here in the bar, after everybody's gone, and I said, I didn't think putting the show together today would be that big of an issue. [SPEAKER_04]: Because Donald Trump and his regime have nowhere to go. [SPEAKER_09]: I remember that conversation that I did. [SPEAKER_04]: Exactly, because I said, look, okay, they can't start another new war. [SPEAKER_04]: They got the war in Venezuela going on.
[SPEAKER_04]: They got the kind of maybe think we could do a war, but not really war in Cuba. [SPEAKER_04]: They got the obviously the big war in Iran. [SPEAKER_04]: They're still, you know, mucking about and other corners of the universe, pissing off Greenland and whatever. [SPEAKER_04]: So I'm like, they're not gonna do another war. [SPEAKER_04]: They can't do a whole lot on me economy right now because they've screwed it up.
[SPEAKER_04]: They can't do anything legislatively because Donald said, I'm not going to do anything until you pass this bill. [SPEAKER_04]: That's not going to get past. [SPEAKER_04]: We'll talk about that. [SPEAKER_04]: But Jonathan's going to stuff him on that one, which is the way it should be, but you're still going to need to call. [SPEAKER_04]: So I said, look, there's nothing he can do legislatively. [SPEAKER_04]: There's nothing he can do in the economy.
[SPEAKER_04]: There's nothing he can do. [SPEAKER_04]: Otherwise, there's not a whole lot that he can do. [SPEAKER_04]: He's back himself into a corner. [SPEAKER_04]: So I said, so I bet tomorrow, it's going to be a lot of the same stuff. [SPEAKER_04]: There's not. [SPEAKER_04]: Look, it's funny, too, because you and I, so you said me something last night about this. [SPEAKER_04]: And we've been kind of joking about this. [SPEAKER_04]: All of us have.
[SPEAKER_04]: I think I heard Steph joke about it. [SPEAKER_04]: I think Bob's joke about it. [SPEAKER_04]: That at some point Donald is just going to declare that he's won the war and get out. [SPEAKER_04]: So this was either now is on CNN. [SPEAKER_04]: I thought it was on Fox. [SPEAKER_04]: But this was, oh, no wait. [SPEAKER_04]: No wait, I was wrong. [SPEAKER_04]: It was on Fox. [SPEAKER_04]: It was on Fox last night's, this was Holland asked Hawley.
[SPEAKER_06]: He could declare victory today and it would be a 100% victory. [SPEAKER_06]: I think it's true. [SPEAKER_06]: I think we ought to say to our heroes, thank you for a job well done. [SPEAKER_06]: This has been absolutely amazing. [SPEAKER_06]: It's been astounding. [SPEAKER_06]: It's been historic. [SPEAKER_06]: And now it's time to declare victory. [SPEAKER_09]: Okay, my question to Fisty and Otto. [SPEAKER_04]: Right, Senator Holly, right? [SPEAKER_09]: Senator Fisty and Otto.
[SPEAKER_04]: Um, be good, Joshua. [SPEAKER_04]: You'll get a Fisty and oh, he'd like that. [SPEAKER_09]: You would. [SPEAKER_09]: Um, okay, what does he mean by victory? [SPEAKER_09]: Because he want the regime change, because there is no regime change, because we're still in the comments. [SPEAKER_04]: We've actually probably made it worse. [SPEAKER_09]: I think so. [SPEAKER_09]: It's a good day for singing a song. [SPEAKER_04]: These people, they are extremely predictable in some ways.
[SPEAKER_04]: The fact that they'll try to find a fire to set, and that was the only thing we were talking about. [SPEAKER_04]: They've already set in a fires that there are only so many fires that they can set. [SPEAKER_04]: Before they go crap, they've backed themselves. [SPEAKER_04]: They're surrounded by fire. [SPEAKER_04]: and this is basically what's what's happening. [SPEAKER_04]: We've got the full details in the news on tap today.
[SPEAKER_04]: Which if you have not signed up for that, you can do that for free at the politicsbar.com. [SPEAKER_04]: Live update blog today brought to you from the folks over at NBC News, Iran War Day 12, and the gas price has gone up. [SPEAKER_04]: Every single day, today's average national guest price, $3.57 a gallon, it was $2.98, so basically 60 cents. [SPEAKER_09]: I haven't heard 350 and at least four years, right? [SPEAKER_04]: That's a national average.
[SPEAKER_04]: I know that's more in California. [SPEAKER_09]: No, no, no, no, I'm just thinking the 350 average. [SPEAKER_09]: I haven't heard that in like four years. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it's been it's been it's not been but this bad for a number of years. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_09]: It's been at least four, right? [SPEAKER_09]: Because when I was I went super up right. [SPEAKER_04]: He kept going down when Joe Biden was in.
[SPEAKER_09]: No, it was up when he first got in because toy right. [SPEAKER_04]: And then it went away back down. [SPEAKER_04]: Right. [SPEAKER_04]: So here's here's the thing. [SPEAKER_04]: Remember we were talking yesterday.
[SPEAKER_04]: We were talking with Jared about the the whole thing the way that Biden had brought the oil [SPEAKER_04]: Well, the international energy agency, they were discussing it, they talked about last night, they pulled the trigger on it today, convinced dozens of countries including the U.S. to release 400 million barrels of oil from their reserves to ease the energy crunch. [SPEAKER_09]: How long does that last? [SPEAKER_04]: Not very low. [SPEAKER_09]: What a week.
[SPEAKER_04]: Basically, here's how you know that Donald Trump is going to do what [SPEAKER_04]: because the market has figured it out, too. [SPEAKER_04]: If things were back before, Donald started this war 12 days ago, the market price for oil was about $65 a barrel. [SPEAKER_04]: On it's about 80 right now.
[SPEAKER_04]: I believe still about that that's what it felt it went up to about a hundred and almost hundred twenty five Sunday night in a Monday and then it fell because among other things we have this story too little bit further down in the news on tap today under the third round war on good government. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, the Secretary of Energy decided to drop this one and and drop a little social media post was like Oh, yeah, they're going through the the streets of her moves.
[SPEAKER_09]: We're gonna lead them through No, it puts American service people navy guys in harm's way [SPEAKER_04]: sailors and also the private ships themselves. [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, both of those. [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, both of those happen to be true. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: So anyway.
[SPEAKER_04]: But long and short, they're well aware of the dollar those that he's got he and roughly 10 to 12 days now was 10 to 14 so about 10 10 12 days left for he figures out a way to say you know what's I won and he's already been kind of saying it we played some of those those clips yesterday if you guys missed the show go check out the podcast it's in there but the fact is he did he's you know one one he just hasn't figured out how to say I've won and let's get out.
[SPEAKER_04]: But he's finding his way there. [SPEAKER_09]: Somebody will find us way there. [SPEAKER_04]: Right, somebody will find his way there. [SPEAKER_04]: Put it in front of him on a piece of paper and he'll finally go, okay, fine. [SPEAKER_09]: Then he'll be written out. [SPEAKER_04]: And that's why they brought it back down to 80 now it's still going to take a while to get back down about 65. [SPEAKER_04]: There's no joke on that. [SPEAKER_09]: No, because they like their profits.
[SPEAKER_04]: Uh-huh. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: The judge's right. [SPEAKER_04]: But look, this is, this is, and if you're sitting there going, this is really, really stupid. [SPEAKER_04]: Congratulations. [SPEAKER_04]: Whoever you said that in the bar here, I don't know where I don't know, but you are correct. [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, that's the case. [SPEAKER_04]: So, you know, this was going to happen too.
[SPEAKER_04]: US military attacked Iran because they were putting out mind-ling vessels. [SPEAKER_04]: Different reports have anywhere between three and 16 vessels have been attacked. [SPEAKER_04]: But the Navy tells the shipping industry that the escorts through the Straits of Hormuz are not possible. [SPEAKER_04]: Because of all the danger, which could have told you that, that's probably did.
[SPEAKER_04]: Iran is now targeting commercial ships, the Dubai airport, other Gulf oil facilities in the region. [SPEAKER_04]: Still trying to get other nations to pressure the US and Israel to stop. [SPEAKER_04]: And in fact, the Trump administration itself has asked Israel to stop targeting Iran's energy infrastructure. [SPEAKER_04]: They're like, they're not saying stop attacking. [SPEAKER_04]: Right. [SPEAKER_04]: They're basically saying stop doing real damage.
[SPEAKER_04]: You can do stuff that looks like damage on TV. [SPEAKER_04]: For all the TV people and all the people watching on the YouTube's in Israel that support this.
[SPEAKER_04]: Right, for all the, for all the magas who are still behind Donald on this, and for all the, the Israelis, all the lacude votes, the lacude knits, who are complete nuts, and are, you know, or, or, or, you can have your little warm movie explosion things Donald and his people are saying, just don't actually hurt the actual thing, because, you know, you guys have already done enough damage and so if we. [SPEAKER_09]: It's just, I mean, the people, do you see his chopper talk today?
[SPEAKER_09]: No, I did not. [SPEAKER_04]: So chapter talk for those of you who don't know is the thing that Donald is the the only president who really does this because most presidents understand that when you do this and you're trying to be heard right exactly. [SPEAKER_04]: So, um, but Donald does it specifically so he doesn't have to be, he got asked a couple of different times, about the, uh, uh, time-ahawk hitting the school and the girls, and he played the, huh? [SPEAKER_04]: What?
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: That was a bad question. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_04]: What I ever, uh, but sorry. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_09]: I'm busy. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_09]: not surprising. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: Him, take responsibility. [SPEAKER_04]: Him, no. [SPEAKER_09]: He's already through everybody under the bus for that bombing. [SPEAKER_04]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: We'll talk about that.
[SPEAKER_04]: We've got a lot to talk about in the news up. [SPEAKER_04]: There was oh my god There was some really good elections. [SPEAKER_04]: There were some election wins last night That we did not expect. [SPEAKER_04]: We told you there that could possibly happen so Bob is coming in in a little bit Of course, we have a very good drink today Celebrating people who keep fighting for freedom You keep your seat here fresh enough your drink come on back [SPEAKER_04]: We'll be right back.
[SPEAKER_04]: It's Wednesday night at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_08]: We'll be right back after we pay some bills at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_04]: Wednesday night here at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_04]: We're in a good mood. [SPEAKER_04]: We hope you are in a good mood tonight. [SPEAKER_04]: We know you guys are you're always busy. [SPEAKER_04]: You're hanging out.
[SPEAKER_04]: You guys are flipping us grief sometimes while you're on the air and sometimes while we are off can always call us leave a message when we're not here. [SPEAKER_04]: Two one three six seven seven seven seven two five eight is the bar line that's two one three six seven seven seven seventy two fifty eight or two one three six seven seven salt [SPEAKER_04]: You know, we are on all of those great social media platforms like Blue Sky and Threads, Instagram, Facebook, Substack, YouTube.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we're still on Twitter too, because some people are, I mean, you know, fine, you do, you do, you boo. [SPEAKER_04]: We're just there so that way you guys can, you know, toss stuff out to us and give us a how. [SPEAKER_04]: We are at all of those places in the exact same place. [SPEAKER_04]: we're at the politics bar, which can be nearly happens to be where you are. [SPEAKER_04]: So that works out as well. [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you very much by the way folks.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm looking over some of your comments here on some of the social media. [SPEAKER_04]: A little bit busy today earlier, obviously, because we were hanging out over in a cold sandlers place.
[SPEAKER_04]: So, [SPEAKER_04]: You know what Louie who's over here in the blue blue sky corner of the bar He said really should we call this Schrodinger's war like you got to read the headlines from the news on tap Louie come on We talked about that yesterday So scan out by the way chirping up here.
[SPEAKER_04]: He says you can only be betrayed by Donald if you're stupid enough to believe in what he says and now what he does Which [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's that's that is a smart take from Scano today. [SPEAKER_04]: We we appreciate that one Scano. [SPEAKER_04]: We know that you know you guys are usually over here throwing peanuts and popcorn at each other. [SPEAKER_04]: Look, the war is about what people think it's about.
[SPEAKER_04]: And you were talking with Malcolm about that earlier today. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, when I had to jump in, because the lady was having a gastrointestinal. [SPEAKER_04]: Well, look, if Steph is nothing, but, you know, she tries to do listener service all the time. [SPEAKER_04]: And I know Chris is a great phone screener. [SPEAKER_04]: I know she turned this personal way. [SPEAKER_04]: I can guarantee it. [SPEAKER_04]: But I also know the way that Steph had to jump up.
[SPEAKER_04]: Somebody got on the line and said you know what Stephanie Miller can blow that out her [SPEAKER_04]: Well, I'm in stuff I did get up to. [SPEAKER_09]: I, she's never done that to me before. [SPEAKER_09]: I mean, she's come down before when I was producing. [SPEAKER_09]: It's can you host because there was other things, but she came down during a break and blah, blah, blah, blah. [SPEAKER_09]: But it's like, I can't do this in the middle of an interview.
[SPEAKER_04]: She was worried about the sharding in the middle of an interview. [SPEAKER_09]: She was and God bless her for not doing that, because we would have all [SPEAKER_04]: You know, y'all wouldn't like really really stuff. [SPEAKER_09]: I know can't really but no, I'm glad she did that and then I just jump because Lonnie was doing a two-shot So I didn't want to screw him up So I get in person. [SPEAKER_04]: There's a mung other things you too are a people pleaser.
[SPEAKER_09]: Well, no, I know with production It doesn't look like easier for a two-shot. [SPEAKER_04]: You're like this make life easy. [SPEAKER_04]: I know what he's doing Right, and then I had to turn the headphones down to one As opposed to 40 [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, and so are you saying that are you saying that miss Miller has to have her headphones really loud after doing a radio for umpteen years. [SPEAKER_09]: Yes, because she's always turned it loud.
[SPEAKER_09]: I've been doing this for 20 years and it's still at one. [SPEAKER_04]: So Bill Press never had his his was loud sometimes for not that loud. [SPEAKER_04]: Randy's is probably the loudest that I've always heard. [SPEAKER_04]: We always had to worry about the headphones bleeding into the microphone. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh no, she gets feedback on [SPEAKER_09]: And I'd given her prep, but I don't know where it is. [SPEAKER_04]: Because, well, you got a bit, you got a bit, oh God, 30.
[SPEAKER_04]: And you did some of the reading for us. [SPEAKER_04]: And then you put your brain in completely different space. [SPEAKER_04]: When you're producing, when you're doing, you know, work behind the scenes, it's different than when you have to be on camera. [SPEAKER_09]: Great. [SPEAKER_04]: And you don't put your brain in the same space. [SPEAKER_04]: When you're on camera on a microphone, you're telling the story.
[SPEAKER_04]: When you're behind the scenes, you're making sure that somebody else can tell the story. [SPEAKER_09]: Yes, and I did not know where she put the stuff that I gave him. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, so you didn't even have it to, so I could even like, it was 10 seconds, right? [SPEAKER_09]: So I said, hi Malcolm. [SPEAKER_09]: And she jumped into and she did. [SPEAKER_04]: She did. [SPEAKER_04]: She was great. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm glad she's getting her gallbladder thing.
[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you, Delay. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm glad it's not going to take that long. [SPEAKER_09]: No April 3rd right now is the 7th. [SPEAKER_09]: I'm sorry, is the surgery. [SPEAKER_09]: So it's a few weeks, but we're hoping she can get into her. [SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, whatever.
[SPEAKER_04]: I hope she feels better and I hope she's, you know, [SPEAKER_09]: And for all of you guys that have had the surgery, she knows that she needs to start eating foods with less fat in it because the gallbladder helps metabolize that. [SPEAKER_09]: Right. [SPEAKER_09]: And so she's learning. [SPEAKER_09]: She literally said to Lonnie me, she goes, Did she not grow now? [SPEAKER_09]: Let has fat and I said, well, it's butter. [SPEAKER_09]: She goes exactly.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm like, there's just my brain went butter. [SPEAKER_09]: right yeah no unfortunately there's there's she's going to have to learn to eat a little bit differently which a good fats are different than bad fats obviously because good fats can get through without the gallbladder better than bad fats so no trans fat for her I mean she's like you think it's yogurt and granola is healthy I'm like will they both have fat because I read labels [SPEAKER_09]: I watch this in read labels.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's me. [SPEAKER_04]: This is, this is the kind of thing where, you know, it's important that people read the news as well and read the headline. [SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_04]: So people think that this, this war isn't, oh, no, he's really getting hurt, right? [SPEAKER_04]: That's why we have a section of the news on tap today. [SPEAKER_04]: As part of the first round, the Iran war rolls on the subsection is the real cost of war.
[SPEAKER_04]: We talked about this with Nicole earlier today. [SPEAKER_04]: The Iran War death toll. [SPEAKER_04]: We have an injury live tracker. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm not kidding you. [SPEAKER_04]: This one comes from Al-Jazeera, which thank you very much. [SPEAKER_04]: Al-Jazeera English out of the UK out of London, preliminary figures roughly 12 to 1,300 dead in Iran that they have counted in no of. [SPEAKER_04]: At least 13 dead in Israel, 8 US soldiers dead 17 killed in Gulf states.
[SPEAKER_04]: This is all numbers as of like 24 hours ago. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, and of course as we mentioned yesterday, the Pentagon admitted the 140 U.S. troops have been injured in the Iran War so far, and of them severely head injuries, major shrapnel, things like that. [SPEAKER_09]: But that was just an aside.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah, yeah, Caroline was, you know, oh, yeah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah
[SPEAKER_09]: how pregnant is she now i can't tell um i don't know i i try not to look at her or listen to her i'm surprised it i mean that baby might be um rosemary's baby at this point demon yeah or like the alien coming out i don't know
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not I'm not disagree with you notice no buzzer sounded because joney I mean honestly, I cannot believe we don't see a burn There's got to be something in the back of it that actually makes it different that it's like garlick something This is not a real cross. [SPEAKER_09]: It's got garlic on it or something. [SPEAKER_09]: I don't I don't That doesn't work. [SPEAKER_09]: That's a vampire thing anyway. [SPEAKER_09]: It's just she's just [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, she is awful.
[SPEAKER_03]: She is awful. [SPEAKER_04]: And of course, she doesn't tell us things like the other story. [SPEAKER_04]: One of the other stories we've got there in the news on tap from ProPublica. [SPEAKER_04]: The U.S. built a blueprint to avoid civilian work casualties, but the Trump regime scrapped it. [SPEAKER_04]: It's a little bit longer of a piece.
[SPEAKER_04]: But I think it's, and the political piece that's below it, the talks about how headset got the, the, the offices that would have helped mitigate civilian casualties. [SPEAKER_04]: They have some overlap. [SPEAKER_04]: The political pieces a little shorter.
[SPEAKER_04]: The long and short is the cost of war aren't just dollars in cents as we mentioned the price is earlier and there are ways to mitigate it obviously the international energy agency Senate Democrats have an idea a temporary 18.4% per gallon gas tax holiday of course because Democrats have suggested it Republicans will say hell no.
[SPEAKER_04]: I said this for years if I have said in God forbid, I never want to see this, but if there were some type of nuclear war and Congress was downtown at this end of the bar in the capital and Democrats said, we should go to the nuclear bomb shelters so that we can be protected and Republicans would say, hello, you suggested it, so you laugh, but you only half laugh [SPEAKER_04]: it's God.
[SPEAKER_04]: I, there's election stuff and we'll go over the election stuff obviously in an little more again with Bob, but there has been a trend and we've talked about it for a while now about how some of these Trump voters are feeling betrayed. [SPEAKER_04]: Look, I understand Donald said no new wars. [SPEAKER_04]: And then, of course, wars. [SPEAKER_04]: Lots of wars. [SPEAKER_09]: So many wars. [SPEAKER_09]: Right.
[SPEAKER_04]: War over Greenland, war with Venezuela, war on Iran, war for this war for that war against this war against that war against immigration and war on good government war war war war. [SPEAKER_04]: It's fantastic. [SPEAKER_09]: As Miguel said, he literally named the Department of Defense the Department of War.
[SPEAKER_04]: Try to, it's still legally [SPEAKER_04]: Here's the thing, we knew that as the elections were going to come up, we were going to see a lot more of these disgruntled mega-fokes. [SPEAKER_04]: and the general spokesman for the Magocorder of the universe. [SPEAKER_04]: Joe Rogan, yeah sure enough. [SPEAKER_04]: He was talking about this today or yesterday was. [SPEAKER_01]: It seems so insane based on what he ran on.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this is why a lot of people feel betrayed, right? [SPEAKER_01]: He ran on no more wars and these stupid senseless wars and then we have one that we can't even really clearly define why we did it. [SPEAKER_04]: You know, I'm so glad Joe, they... [SPEAKER_04]: I'm glad you finally took those rabbit pills. [SPEAKER_09]: You think you did? [SPEAKER_04]: Well, no, but you know, for those of you who don't know the rabbit pill joke, this is a very common military joke.
[SPEAKER_04]: I've told it before here, but I'll tell it again. [SPEAKER_04]: It's it's it's I don't know if you call a spicy dad joke, but it's in that corner of the universe. [SPEAKER_04]: So, um, enlisted low inlet enlisted guy comes into the mess. [SPEAKER_04]: He's talking to the cook. [SPEAKER_04]: He says, man, I think so. [SPEAKER_04]: I fell out in this particular test and then I and the cook says, Oh, so you want to, you want something to help you get smarter.
[SPEAKER_04]: And the list of guys says you got something and cookie says yeah, yeah, I got some I got something to help you here and Goes in the back and comes out and you got these little brown pills and he gives them the the list of guys And he take these take one a day. [SPEAKER_04]: There's like it doesn't have a Mary take one a day.
[SPEAKER_04]: You come back Come back, you know next day two days whatever and I guarantee you'll be smarter [SPEAKER_04]: Sure enough next day comes back to the enlisted man burst into the mess hall grabs up the meat cleaver from the back starts chasing cookie around I can't believe you did that. [SPEAKER_04]: I can't believe you did that cookie says what what what enlisted guy says you gave me rabbit turns and The cookie says yeah, but you're smarter now, ain't you?
[SPEAKER_09]: Magist finally getting smart [SPEAKER_09]: a question for the joke. [SPEAKER_09]: Why did the guy eat them? [SPEAKER_04]: Because Cookie told him to because he said if you eat these you'll get smarter. [SPEAKER_09]: I would have smelled something. [SPEAKER_04]: Because you're already smart, you don't need the pills. [SPEAKER_09]: I would like smart pills. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but you already are smart.
[SPEAKER_04]: the long and short of it is the fact that that mega is a lot of the mega folks believe what they want to believe. [SPEAKER_09]: And they've been fed spoon fed. [SPEAKER_04]: Especially by the propaganda outlets from the right. [SPEAKER_04]: Absidained. [SPEAKER_09]: Since the mid-90s, so I mean, I got to give some of them a break, but not all of them.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, look, the fact is, though, that everybody they know and including some of the people that you've got the difference between the Maga folks and the American first folks. [SPEAKER_04]: The American first folks might not have had all 12 pills, but they've at least taken one or two on their slightly smarter. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I mean, Mag. [SPEAKER_04]: They're like, well, I mean, wait a minute. [SPEAKER_04]: At least you said no new wars. [SPEAKER_04]: And now wars.
[SPEAKER_04]: Somewhere along the line, they went, [SPEAKER_09]: This is not like that and some of these some is not like the someone of the Epstein files released. [SPEAKER_09]: And then others wanted just the criminals to be. [SPEAKER_04]: Well, but Donald said, when I get in, I will release all. [SPEAKER_04]: He didn't say some. [SPEAKER_04]: He said, he said, oh, of the Epstein files. [SPEAKER_04]: So Donald got in and they released.
[SPEAKER_04]: And some of the Americans, first of all, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, you said all and now you only do some and every time you say, oh, they're all done more come out and they point the finger you. [SPEAKER_04]: Hmm, especially the last trip. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_04]: They keep going, something smells with these rabbit pills. [SPEAKER_09]: And then they all, they wanted the criminals to be deported.
[SPEAKER_09]: but then people they know are being deported and children and people that have been here forever that are their neighbors that were with or for them and all down to the Mexican restaurant the corner of the lake and you know Luis and and American citizens also being detained. [SPEAKER_04]: So there's yeah, so they're getting a little bit smarter. [SPEAKER_04]: I still don't want them to be driving the bus by all means.
[SPEAKER_04]: They do not get the keys and the wheel, n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n- [SPEAKER_04]: They are feeling betrayed right now.
[SPEAKER_04]: They are feeling betrayed by Donald and they're feeling betrayed by elected Republicans who knew better and who are now admitting they knew better about things like those kids being killed. [SPEAKER_04]: They've admitted that and they're like, wait a minute, you knew that and you didn't do everything you could to make sure that it got through to us. [SPEAKER_04]: They're rightful to feel betrayed. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: As dumb as they may be, at least they understand.
[SPEAKER_04]: So, they've been cunt. [SPEAKER_04]: Be exactly, Joe, these are, look, we're not cunting you. [SPEAKER_04]: We actually have a pretty good drink of the day coming up. [SPEAKER_04]: And this one is all about people who were in it for the long term fighting for freedom. [SPEAKER_04]: Amen. [SPEAKER_04]: They did not buy into the con. [SPEAKER_04]: So, we're fresh in your drink and then come right back and we'll have the drink of the day for you.
[SPEAKER_04]: And everybody here at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_04]: Hang on. [SPEAKER_08]: We'll be right back after we pay some bills at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_04]: We'd have to really talk about things other than politics here in politics bar TV among them. [SPEAKER_04]: Uh, thank you by the way everybody who is here at the politics bar on this Wednesday night and we will talk a little bit of Uh, TV and entertainment obviously with Mr. Bob Cesska who's coming in in a little bit.
[SPEAKER_04]: We have actually some really good guests coming up to we've got a feel in there coming in and Kirkman coming in. [SPEAKER_04]: Obviously we're going to get somebody from invisible in here because of the no kings rally on March 28.
[SPEAKER_04]: Look the best thing to do so you know who's coming in because we put it in the news on tap every day If you subscribe at the politics bar dot com for $6 a month You get the podcast ad for you get the news on tap with the guest feature that tells you who will be in the bar tonight And then of course we give you the drink of the day with the recipe So that the smart thing for you to do is just subscribe and help us out too Because look you like can only you guys are working hard plus remember it is March madness
[SPEAKER_04]: I know. [SPEAKER_04]: You keep laughing at it. [SPEAKER_04]: You're the fastest. [SPEAKER_04]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_04]: Look, normally a buck 50 a week. [SPEAKER_04]: You do that times four weeks. [SPEAKER_04]: That adds up to six dollars a month. [SPEAKER_04]: But because there are five weeks in January, it's cheaper. [SPEAKER_04]: I know. [SPEAKER_04]: Whatever whatever it looks, just go and subscribe. [SPEAKER_04]: It's there at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you by the way, everybody listening on our great radio affiliates as well. [SPEAKER_04]: We have some good folks out there in the radio and we appreciate you guys listening and give us some calls and things. [SPEAKER_04]: We're going to see you actually for a brother David will be able to be here. [SPEAKER_04]: I think he will be a Friday will do a little Oscars preview for this weekend, which will be a good thing.
[SPEAKER_04]: Um, drink of the day today, it's time for that, mainly because I'm thirsty. [SPEAKER_04]: Um, and uh, well, this, this is honestly, it's not even so much as a drink. [SPEAKER_04]: As it is, um, a statement, a dessert. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, yeah, that too. [SPEAKER_04]: Would you call it a dessert statement? [SPEAKER_09]: I would, because the statement is important. [SPEAKER_04]: The statement is important, the, the, the, the DACA is also nice.
[SPEAKER_04]: Also the fact that we have it in a cocktail or a mocktail. [SPEAKER_09]: Thank you for that. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we do this. [SPEAKER_04]: What is the drink of the day today, Jody? [SPEAKER_04]: And what is the inspiration behind it? [SPEAKER_09]: The drink of the day is called the Lithuanian DACA. [SPEAKER_09]: And it's inspired by Lithuanian becoming the first Soviet republic to officially declare its independence from the USS from Soviet Russia. [SPEAKER_08]: Right.
[SPEAKER_09]: March 11, 1990. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, Lithuanians, lead in the way. [SPEAKER_09]: And it was just fallen. [SPEAKER_04]: So I had to kind of tweak up, because you had a good history, but some of it was written a little bit. [SPEAKER_04]: It was written to me like somebody who actually was from Lithuanian. [SPEAKER_09]: They didn't quite have all of the, I think I wanted to a Lithuanian place to get the inspiration, that would make some sense.
[SPEAKER_04]: Lithuania was the first of the 15 silver Soviet republics to declare independence the rest followed over the next 21 months, concluding with Kazakhstan's independence in 1991. [SPEAKER_04]: And yeah, and I know Vladimir Putin hates this. [SPEAKER_04]: He does. [SPEAKER_09]: He wants to get him back. [SPEAKER_09]: Hey, Vlad. [SPEAKER_09]: That's why he wants you a crane back. [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, you have the Ukrainians God. [SPEAKER_04]: They are they are awesome.
[SPEAKER_04]: They are they are Everything right now Was it it was it was it was what like doesn't days ago something like that that the Ukrainians are like okay You're gonna go to war with the ran We can deal with the Iranian drones stuff so it was [SPEAKER_04]: What will help you? [SPEAKER_04]: We've got this great drone industry. [SPEAKER_04]: Their drone industry is almost completely free of parts from China as well.
[SPEAKER_04]: Ukrainians are extremely adapted, fairing stuff out of adapting. [SPEAKER_09]: And we'll talk to Phil about that next week. [SPEAKER_09]: He knows. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_04]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_04]: But they offered help. [SPEAKER_04]: And the Trump regime went, now we don't need your help. [SPEAKER_04]: And then literally like two days ago, they were like, we're still offering.
[SPEAKER_04]: And [SPEAKER_09]: Okay, we might need them because the drones don't cost anything for the Iranians keep it on the down. [SPEAKER_04]: No Ukraine's like whatever okay, you know you want our help will help because do good. [SPEAKER_04]: There's a nice people They aim to please it's just why we like Ukraine so we do you know they're very good at that But let's wait and look those folks are really good, too.
[SPEAKER_04]: No no question there [SPEAKER_04]: The Baltic States, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, they got tossed back and forth between the Nazis and the Soviets as the history shows. [SPEAKER_04]: But the Lithuanians never stopped fighting for freedom. [SPEAKER_04]: The entire time, there was a little violence, but there are also a lot of nonviolence. [SPEAKER_04]: And, uh, man, the picture there, um, I added a couple pictures.
[SPEAKER_09]: I know, I see that the one with a line up of everybody. [SPEAKER_04]: The line of cars, that that was the Baltic way protest that happened in 1989, where they had like 400 in some odd miles of people joining hands across the Baltic states. [SPEAKER_09]: Hands across Lithuania. [SPEAKER_04]: And Latvia and Estonia. [SPEAKER_09]: I was in hands across America, so I get it. [SPEAKER_04]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_04]: It was kind of cool.
[SPEAKER_04]: And look, everything ended up following, and they ended up being able to restore their own independence. [SPEAKER_04]: I love the way that they did it legally, because the way that it happened at the beginning of World War II was basically illegitimate under the laws at the time. [SPEAKER_04]: Right.
[SPEAKER_04]: So when Lithuania wanted to get their independence back from Russia, [SPEAKER_04]: They just went, well, you know, when this whole mess started, you guys did it illegally. [SPEAKER_04]: So we're just voiding everything that came out. [SPEAKER_04]: It would be like if we went in and said, well, we knew that there was interference in 2016. [SPEAKER_04]: From the Russians that actually helped Donald Trump and we knew that the Electoral College and we know that.
[SPEAKER_04]: And so because we know that that invalidates the 2016 election and everything that comes after. [SPEAKER_04]: There are a couple you hear on the court there you can get your asses up to leave. [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, at least three Yeah, and remember we can we actually can do that We would just assign them to a different federal court Nothing wrong with doing that That's I'm just saying Lithuanians got some things to teach us just so the South Koreans and maybe we can go on [SPEAKER_04]: Jody, one of the things they could teach us happens to be how to make this thunder for Lithuanian dacquery. [SPEAKER_09]: No, it sounds yummy, doesn't it? [SPEAKER_04]: It does.
[SPEAKER_09]: We're going to need a shaker, a muddler, cubed and crushed ice. [SPEAKER_04]: So children, listen, if you don't have both, that's fine. [SPEAKER_04]: You've got, but if you do have cubed and you have crushed even better. [SPEAKER_04]: And if you have cubed, then you get also kind of crushed still of it. [SPEAKER_09]: Absolutely, you need a strainer, obviously. [SPEAKER_09]: As I've always said, pre-chilled, koop-lass. [SPEAKER_09]: I'm going to be that person from now on.
[SPEAKER_09]: A half ounce of lemon grass stem. [SPEAKER_09]: Okay, that's, that's an item we don't usually use. [SPEAKER_09]: No. [SPEAKER_09]: Two bar spoons of superfine casters, bakers powdered sugar or any powdered sugar. [SPEAKER_04]: Right. [SPEAKER_04]: So anytime sometimes a powdered sugar is labeled as superfine sugar or caster sugar or baker sugar or powdered sugar, it's literally all of the same stuff. [SPEAKER_09]: It's all the same. [SPEAKER_09]: Any baker knows this?
[SPEAKER_09]: Right. [SPEAKER_09]: Three cores of an ounce of lime juice. [SPEAKER_09]: Obviously freshly squeezed. [SPEAKER_09]: Of course. [SPEAKER_09]: For the cocktail. [SPEAKER_09]: Thank you for this. [SPEAKER_09]: One in two thirds ounce of light wine. [SPEAKER_09]: Not wine rum. [SPEAKER_09]: Light white rum.
[SPEAKER_09]: chuckle filter one to four years old because it's taste better or for the mock tail my favorite is one in two thirds ounces of liars white rum alternative and it's yummy it tastes good it's in and for those of you who are like you know maybe you have had a gummy or maybe you just you don't you don't want to have the effects of the alcohol right that's and it's a lot I mean one in two third [SPEAKER_09]: Right, so it's nice to have the liars option. [SPEAKER_09]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_09]: And it's really yummy. [SPEAKER_09]: I've had it. [SPEAKER_09]: It's very yummy. [SPEAKER_09]: Okay. [SPEAKER_09]: What else do we need? [SPEAKER_09]: Three fresh raspberries. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no, I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_04]: Actually, sorry. [SPEAKER_04]: It's just... Not the kind you do that. [SPEAKER_09]: Not Meg Meg. [SPEAKER_09]: Right. [SPEAKER_09]: Okay. [SPEAKER_09]: It's family guy reference y'all. [SPEAKER_09]: Right. [SPEAKER_09]: Five fresh basil leaves.
[SPEAKER_09]: And then you garnish with the raspberry and basil leaf. [SPEAKER_09]: It's very pretty drink, by the way. [SPEAKER_02]: So it is. [SPEAKER_02]: How do we put it together? [SPEAKER_09]: OK, so you got a muddle. [SPEAKER_09]: We haven't done that in a minute.
[SPEAKER_09]: Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on
[SPEAKER_09]: whether it's a cocktail or the cocktail, whichever ones you'd like. [SPEAKER_04]: Make sure you don't do both the liars and the alcohol. [SPEAKER_09]: Because it's going to be too sweet and it's a science case, right? [SPEAKER_09]: Then you add a 50-50 combo of the cubed and crushed ice. [SPEAKER_09]: It's okay if you don't have both. [SPEAKER_09]: And then you strain that, you shake it, and you strain it into your cook glass, and good for the Lithuanians. [SPEAKER_04]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_04]: Look, for people who say, look, you get tired, you get frustrated because some of the stuff is it's dark and it's awful. [SPEAKER_04]: Like the killing of the school girls, like the attacks on our friends in Minneapolis, right? [SPEAKER_04]: Uh, some of the stuff going on the concentration camps and Texas, you're like, I, uh, we, we get why you guys are, why everybody, we get that way too. [SPEAKER_04]: We get tired, but we also, we try to lift you up here.
[SPEAKER_04]: So that way, you have the energy to get, go forward and be like, you know what, I'm going to keep on, because that is what the Lithuanians did. [SPEAKER_04]: And hey, they won. [SPEAKER_09]: They did. [SPEAKER_04]: So there you go. [SPEAKER_04]: If you missed any part of the drink of the day, you guys know what to do. [SPEAKER_04]: Just hop on, subscribe at the politics bar, dot com.
[SPEAKER_04]: All right, we usually use some entertainment stuff here, and we have quite a bit of entertainment stuff today. [SPEAKER_04]: Oscars, producers preview. [SPEAKER_04]: They gave a fab file, they're going to give a fab five casting tribute on extended in memoriam, and they did explain why they're only going to be two musical performances. [SPEAKER_04]: You can read the details there in the fifth round under media entertainment and more.
[SPEAKER_04]: There's something, there's something dumb and there's something fun. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna do the dumb fun, dumb one first and then the phone. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I do the dumb one first. [SPEAKER_04]: Okay, the dumb awful thing is, the Pentagon is now Pete Kegbreath and friends are blocking legitimate photo journalists from any future Iran war briefing. [SPEAKER_04]: Tell for the notice because they took some unflattering photos of Pete, I'm not, I'm not kidding.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, have you gone to the getting images and seen pictures of me? [SPEAKER_04]: Have you gone to any image gallery that is a professional in the gallery and looked at the photos of any one. [SPEAKER_04]: There are always unflattering photos because they get a shot where you're like, [SPEAKER_04]: Because they take like, among other things, they pay. [SPEAKER_04]: A billion. [SPEAKER_04]: Right. [SPEAKER_04]: And then they pick the best one. [SPEAKER_04]: That's how that works.
[SPEAKER_04]: That's why you have like on your cell phone camera. [SPEAKER_04]: You hold the button and it gets like six photos. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: And then you go, wow. [SPEAKER_04]: Or you know, like with the with the iPhone. [SPEAKER_04]: They have it where does the motion thing. [SPEAKER_04]: And then you can pick which one. [SPEAKER_04]: It's the exact same concept. [SPEAKER_04]: But no, no, because Pete is that vain.
[SPEAKER_04]: Dan Froemkin has a great thing about the How important it is for journals to call that stuff out and be like. [SPEAKER_04]: That's just BS. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you guys can read that The good thing. [SPEAKER_04]: Miley Cyrus Back to be in Hanuman, Tana. [SPEAKER_04]: We knew she was gonna do this for a special. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, the trailer is out for that 20th anniversary special.
[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you for her [SPEAKER_04]: If she she still is she going to maybe possibly. [SPEAKER_04]: Ah man. [SPEAKER_04]: That's a bomber because I would have loved if if she did. [SPEAKER_09]: I would have loved to have seen her do it as well, but no, she maybe she's not available. [SPEAKER_04]: Maybe there's another project at some point, you know, I mean, maybe she's mildly. [SPEAKER_04]: She's good. [SPEAKER_09]: We're hoping for Riley Kiyo now, so.
[SPEAKER_04]: Ooh, that would be great. [SPEAKER_04]: She'd be another excellent one. [SPEAKER_04]: And, you know, we all know she got pipes. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, she does have pipes. [SPEAKER_09]: And she's, she's a hell of an actor and that's helping. [SPEAKER_09]: That's my hope. [SPEAKER_04]: No, I'd be great. [SPEAKER_09]: I'm not gonna say, wait, I'm, it's my hope. [SPEAKER_04]: I get it. [SPEAKER_04]: I get it. [SPEAKER_04]: Miami Heat Star Bam, out of BIO, scored a historic 83 points.
[SPEAKER_04]: One player. [SPEAKER_04]: By Pasco, we've arrived for the second highest scoring game in NBA. [SPEAKER_09]: 83 points, one guy. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I like 43 of them were free throw points. [SPEAKER_04]: He got found a lot. [SPEAKER_09]: Do they think he can't play or they're foul? [SPEAKER_04]: No, it's just they're fouling my purpose. [SPEAKER_09]: Well, they felt shocked because they knew he couldn't do it.
[SPEAKER_04]: Ah, yeah, but no, no, no, no, no, no, he's very good at the free throw shooting. [SPEAKER_09]: Then why foul him if he can get them? [SPEAKER_04]: That's my thought, but, you know, whatever. [SPEAKER_04]: They were playing the Washington Wizard to happen to be, yes, they are the MBTA, NBA team at this end of the bar. [SPEAKER_04]: They suck. [SPEAKER_09]: Although their name is Washington, I recall the Harlem Glove Trotters playing against people.
[SPEAKER_04]: The Harlem Glove Trotters played the Washington Generals, although some people have confused the two because the wizard to play that badly lately. [SPEAKER_04]: So I'm, I'm, what the, you look, I get it, I get it. [SPEAKER_04]: You have great NBA teams at your end of the bar. [SPEAKER_04]: No, no need to gloat to say. [SPEAKER_04]: Look, we are breaking here for the top of the hour. [SPEAKER_04]: Bob Cesca will be in a little bit. [SPEAKER_04]: We have more of the news on tap.
[SPEAKER_04]: We've got to get to that election recap. [SPEAKER_04]: We'll bring that to you next. [SPEAKER_04]: Here at politics bar. [SPEAKER_10]: We'll be right back after we pay some bills at the politics bar.
[SPEAKER_04]: They're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called, they're called
[SPEAKER_09]: It's just changing the name of General's kids. [SPEAKER_04]: I don't want to talk about five minutes ago. [SPEAKER_04]: We're still talking about it because Jodie is in sins. [SPEAKER_04]: Because she does this. [SPEAKER_04]: Look, I'm with you. [SPEAKER_04]: I don't like people who are professionals who are not being professional and what they're doing. [SPEAKER_04]: I don't care what they're doing.
[SPEAKER_04]: If you're going to be a professional, for God's sake, be professional. [SPEAKER_09]: Well, okay. [SPEAKER_04]: Which by the way, we actually should be professional here and thank all of our radio affiliates. [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you guys for coming in from whatever radio affiliate you happen to be listening to us live on. [SPEAKER_04]: Whether that happens to be Georgian now radio in the ATL or maybe WCPT AMA 20 Chicago.
[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe you are up in Minneapolis, St. Paul, listen on AM-950. [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you very much for that. [SPEAKER_04]: And of course, you folks in the D2 were talking. [SPEAKER_04]: Tennessee, we love you. [SPEAKER_04]: folks at progressive voices radio worldwide. [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you very much as well.
[SPEAKER_04]: And of course, big thanks to all of you who are future people who are listening on the podcast player, or who have subscribed the politicsbar.com as we keep saying, you know, it's $6 a month, normally it's a buck 50 week, but this month, it's March madness, or as Jody said, March madness, which works out, it's five weeks, even less than a buck 50. [SPEAKER_04]: I haven't done the [SPEAKER_04]: Wednesday night, Bob Cesska will be in in a little bit.
[SPEAKER_04]: There was still a little bit more entertainment news that we had yet to get to. [SPEAKER_04]: World baseball classic news, Italy upset team USA 8 to 6 very surprising. [SPEAKER_04]: One point Italy was up 5 nothing in the fifth. [SPEAKER_04]: That's not good. [SPEAKER_04]: It's on the TV behind you. [SPEAKER_04]: I didn't want to say anything last night.
[SPEAKER_04]: I was just, yeah, first I was like five nothing and I kind of looked and just kind of was like, oh, five nothing and I assumed that the U.S. was up, no, no, no, no. [SPEAKER_04]: So it depends on how some other teams win and go as to whether or not the U.S. saying I haven't checked tonight, but as to whether they'll go to the next round. [SPEAKER_04]: Hopefully they will not, I would.
[SPEAKER_04]: Olympics, by the way, another pair of Olympics update, American Oxana masters, she's the superrass skater. [SPEAKER_09]: Did she just win a gold, like a few days ago? [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, this is this is the second of the Milano Cortina games. [SPEAKER_04]: This is her 11th gold medal overall. [SPEAKER_04]: Wow. [SPEAKER_04]: Wow. [SPEAKER_04]: Is it?
[SPEAKER_04]: eight from winter and there's a three maybe maybe it's four from winter and the rest are from summer Wow, yeah, she's done both. [SPEAKER_04]: She's a badass. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, also by the way originally Ukrainian.
[SPEAKER_09]: So to say I love you Connie [SPEAKER_04]: We have the details on all of that of course in the news on tap, so in the second round of the news on tap tonight Trump's failing economy new consumer price inflation report came out today inflation surprisingly held steady in February at least before the Iran war started [SPEAKER_04]: So we'll see when the March numbers come out here, when it's April, because that's how it comes out a month afterwards.
[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, it was ongoing, but I bet there's going to be inflation anymore unemployment, I assume. [SPEAKER_04]: Probably because one usually follows with the other and of course because of the way they're doing things because they have closed off the straight on her moves a lot of fertilizer stuff is also petroleum Based or as partial chemicals from petroleum stuff so of course no nothing get through the straight on her moves.
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, fertilizer and it's the beginning of growing season planting season with others. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, although as we talked about here, we're setting up the mics today. [SPEAKER_04]: It's only like 8% of farmers are individual or small group farmers in the US. [SPEAKER_04]: The other 92 are big corporate farmers. [SPEAKER_09]: And that's why it's going to be an issue. [SPEAKER_09]: Well, if you're just small farmers.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, because they're the ones that donate to Donnie and the Republicans. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, big ag is important to them.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, and big eye is important to their their pocketbooks, their donations, let me jump around a little bit on this because we can get down to election land because that kind of goes with this new analysis confirms billion air campaign donations are overwhelming US politics they make up nearly 20% or they made up nearly 20% of all federal contributions in 2024 literally.
[SPEAKER_04]: the billions and bill hundreds of billions of dollars that were spent on political campaigns for federal offices in 2024, 20% of them come from big corporations and big ag, and yes, I'm sure there is some union dollars in there, but you know, minuscule comparatively. [SPEAKER_04]: Exactly, not even close. [SPEAKER_09]: I know John McCain is rolling around in his grave because McCain find gold tried to cap a lot of that.
[SPEAKER_03]: brush angle was always pissed about the fact that they, but yeah, that's, there's a great bill. [SPEAKER_09]: It was, it was, the intent was there, but you got to keep going. [SPEAKER_04]: Look, I didn't talk about the Lithuanians with the drink of the day. [SPEAKER_04]: They kept going. [SPEAKER_04]: And unfortunately, this, that, that is something else when we were talking with the coal earlier than over at her place.
[SPEAKER_04]: And we said, one of the important things is to keep going, is that it should [SPEAKER_04]: stuff is forcibly, it's forced on Congress where you have to review it and you can't have an open-time table. [SPEAKER_04]: You have to review whatever it is. [SPEAKER_04]: Like if something, you know, sunsets, we should make it. [SPEAKER_04]: So if you have a law that sunsets, you are required to review it and vote on it before it sunsets.
[SPEAKER_04]: And if that means you have to shove several of the things out of the way in order to do it, I'm sorry, but you know, you don't get your dessert before you eat your rest of your food there. [SPEAKER_09]: Civil rights act. [SPEAKER_09]: The voting rights act. [SPEAKER_09]: I can go on. [SPEAKER_04]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_04]: Violence against women act. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: All this. [SPEAKER_04]: Look. [SPEAKER_04]: And, you know, all worlds got to be re-ups.
[SPEAKER_04]: Great. [SPEAKER_04]: If it's got to be re-uped, most of you agree. [SPEAKER_04]: Do it. [SPEAKER_04]: Just do it. [SPEAKER_09]: Well, by the way, the violence against women's act just sounds like you're going to be [SPEAKER_09]: It's a really bad name. [SPEAKER_04]: Okay, I get it, but that's, that's just the shorthand for it. [SPEAKER_09]: Everybody knows that it's, it's, it's an, I know what it means, but it's a really bad name. [SPEAKER_04]: We do that.
[SPEAKER_04]: As you know, we do that in American English. [SPEAKER_04]: We shorten things and make them bad names all the time. [SPEAKER_04]: Unfortunately, that's that's a very common thing that we do, but that's, anyway, long and short.
[SPEAKER_04]: political contributions matter and they're going to matter, especially with all of the economic damage that's coming from this stupid ass warner and in fact, there's a good piece here over from Punchbow News talking about how Trump and their Republicans are playing economic chicken with the fallout from the war. [SPEAKER_04]: And there's still other things going on at home, nearly 4,000 meatpackers are deciding to go on strike.
[SPEAKER_04]: First time that's happened since, I think, the 1990s.
[SPEAKER_04]: I have to ask our friend Ted Genoese my friend from way back he's got some great work over to fur and I'll see if I can put that up in there maybe tomorrow but yeah that that me packers have had it because the corporate monsters are saying screw you guys and look there are other small signs too Casey Quinlan has a good piece over from the new republic talking about how the by now pay later have you noticed how that that seems to be popping up everywhere like
[SPEAKER_04]: kind of they usually do that it's it's a layover or a layway or by now pay later where you you buy it and then you do everything in installments right it's kind of like the tip everywhere thing you're seeing that kind of thing pop up the by now pay later or virtually everything that is a huge sign of major weaknesses underlying the absolute economy. [SPEAKER_04]: And Quinlan's got a really good piece of it.
[SPEAKER_04]: People are wondering, they're like, God, you know, I see the numbers come out and they look stronger. [SPEAKER_04]: We don't have a piece on this, but remember, the stock market is not the economy. [SPEAKER_04]: No. [SPEAKER_04]: even though I know a lot of the mainstream news me to make sense in that way. [SPEAKER_04]: And right now, the stock market is effectively being held up by basically about a dozen corporations.
[SPEAKER_04]: Many of them dealing in AI, they're big tech companies. [SPEAKER_04]: So like the Dow is the top 30 stocks. [SPEAKER_04]: It's being held up by 12. [SPEAKER_04]: The entire rest of them, the other 18, they're not doing so well. [SPEAKER_04]: that K-shaped economy top and now that now I'm hearing some people talk about economists headed along with starting to talk about an E-shaped economy, where the top is doing really well, yeah, exactly.
[SPEAKER_04]: And the bottom keeps sucking along the bottom, and the middle class is very afraid to do anything because they don't want any, they're they're worried that some's going to change and knock them off. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so I don't know, but long and short, it's the economy should not be any of those. [SPEAKER_04]: It should be a very upward line. [SPEAKER_04]: It should help everybody. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, yeah, I know. [SPEAKER_09]: In this little man.
[SPEAKER_04]: I know, I've strange ideas like hot fire and cold water. [SPEAKER_04]: Cold ice. [SPEAKER_09]: That's weird, dude. [SPEAKER_04]: I know, I know. [SPEAKER_04]: I have strange ideas like that. [SPEAKER_04]: You know, I think justice should be just [SPEAKER_04]: Call me crazy you're crazy. [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_09]: Or I can call you Polyana. [SPEAKER_04]: And just call me for dinner, whatever you call me.
[SPEAKER_04]: All right, in the third round in Trump's other stupid wars in the war on good government. [SPEAKER_04]: The Trump DOJ's shooting probe of the death of Alex Pretty is excluded prosecutors who actually specialize in civil rights cases. [SPEAKER_04]: Mm-hmm, because, you know, you might not. [SPEAKER_04]: Right, why would you want to have people who actually know what the hell they're talking about? [SPEAKER_04]: That's insane. [SPEAKER_04]: I know, again, I have strange idea.
[SPEAKER_04]: I would like experts to be involved in the investigation of somebody's death. [SPEAKER_04]: That's, that's just crazy talk. [SPEAKER_04]: I know, I have strange ideas like that. [SPEAKER_04]: What is wrong with you? [SPEAKER_04]: Well, you know, I'm not, I'm not the one and only, [SPEAKER_04]: Hey everybody, be's here. [SPEAKER_04]: Bob says games here. [SPEAKER_12]: How you doing man? [SPEAKER_12]: Hello, hi.
[SPEAKER_12]: Hello, you've got a... [SPEAKER_12]: I should come up with a norm from Cheers Quip every time I'm. [SPEAKER_09]: Ha ha ha. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, just walk in and do the thing. [SPEAKER_04]: I always love that. [SPEAKER_04]: That's one of my favorites. [SPEAKER_04]: I like your shirt by the way, too. [SPEAKER_04]: Well, Bob, I think it's his rush. [SPEAKER_04]: Sure. [SPEAKER_12]: A official crush product, yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, and this is Rush the Band.
[SPEAKER_04]: Not Rush the fascist hot out. [SPEAKER_12]: I'm wearing a rush limba shirt for God's sake. [SPEAKER_12]: Shame on you. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm with you, Bob. [SPEAKER_04]: Well, you know, maybe I can't see what's below your nipples there. [SPEAKER_04]: So my thought is is that maybe it actually insults rush below that. [SPEAKER_04]: And so, you know, it's entirely possible. [SPEAKER_04]: I have seen shirts that, you know, and, you know, it says.
[SPEAKER_09]: I know it's getting leaf follows you on Instagram, and that's all that matters. [SPEAKER_12]: This is all that matters to me. [SPEAKER_12]: Mark Hamill on the other blue sky and Twitter. [SPEAKER_12]: And he gave me. [SPEAKER_12]: I mean, that's like, yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: He had a baby person. [SPEAKER_04]: It's like, Bob's like, I'm done. [SPEAKER_04]: I have won. [SPEAKER_04]: Racking. [SPEAKER_04]: Congratulations. [SPEAKER_04]: You have won Bob.
[SPEAKER_09]: He won the internet for sure. [SPEAKER_04]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_04]: So I know I know David. [SPEAKER_04]: I know, by the way, sending good thoughts to Kimberly. [SPEAKER_04]: She says she has a cold, which is not fun. [SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, she's, she's doing okay. [SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, she's, she's good. [SPEAKER_12]: Thank you, though. [SPEAKER_04]: No, no worries man. [SPEAKER_04]: It's always sucks.
[SPEAKER_04]: It always sucks when you know you're doing okay You're feeling good and you're sticking together. [SPEAKER_04]: There's like I'm not feeling so good. [SPEAKER_04]: You're like oh man I want to take an old sunny day 80 degrees get outside and you're still giving it Yeah, it's nice outside. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah 7580 yeah both ends of the bar by the way [SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, I am sitting inside. [SPEAKER_12]: But everybody, I'm leaving a bar. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm running outside.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, there are plenty of reasons to celebrate tonight. [SPEAKER_04]: Actually, we've been leaving the election recap for you. [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if you have, who did you have in your show earlier today that you talk with? [SPEAKER_04]: Donna Halper speaking of love her exactly. [SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, yeah, as some of you may know, Donna Halper was the radio DJ who discovered rush more than 50 years ago.
[SPEAKER_12]: I've played them for the first time on American radio and that broke them into the states and the rest of the great. [SPEAKER_04]: I bumped into her online a number of times. [SPEAKER_12]: She's very full. [SPEAKER_12]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_12]: She's amazing and she's like, you know, she's, I mean, apart from the rush thing, she's a college professor. [SPEAKER_12]: She's a media historian.
[SPEAKER_12]: And so what we do is we check in with Donna every couple of months to see what's going on with the news media and get to get her take on the, oh, we can talk about that today. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, play. [SPEAKER_04]: We got, we got lots of, we got actually something that we mentioned earlier about, uh, Pete Kegbreath, locking all the photojournalists because they had a bad shot of him. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm not kidding.
[SPEAKER_04]: That's just, [SPEAKER_09]: Seriously, I can ban every photographer I've ever known. [SPEAKER_04]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I just, uh, anyway, look, we'll talk about the meeting. [SPEAKER_04]: We'll talk about the elections. [SPEAKER_04]: We will get that election recap in that we've been promising. [SPEAKER_04]: One, the only Bob Cesska is here. [SPEAKER_04]: It is Wednesday night after all with Bob.
[SPEAKER_04]: So, [SPEAKER_04]: You know, dude, you got to do fresh in your drink. [SPEAKER_04]: If you missed it at the top of the hour, you guys know what to do. [SPEAKER_04]: Down the hall, left, right, and center. [SPEAKER_04]: As you know, we say, we aim to please here at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_04]: You aim to please. [SPEAKER_04]: Don't wait, Jody, and I have less to clean up later. [SPEAKER_04]: Bob Sasker, here on a Wednesday nights, come right back, hang on.
[SPEAKER_10]: We'll be right back after we pay some bills at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_04]: It is Wednesday nights, and you know what that means. [SPEAKER_04]: The man deserves a proper introduction. [SPEAKER_04]: Who is it? [SPEAKER_04]: The idea of a pop-bubb. [SPEAKER_04]: Wow! [SPEAKER_04]: The like, whoa! [SPEAKER_04]: And the one, the only Bob SESCA in the house. [SPEAKER_04]: Here at the politics bar.
[SPEAKER_04]: You are the only person that we do that for, simply because, well, I mean, you're a pop-bubb. [SPEAKER_04]: What could we say? [SPEAKER_04]: There is no other Pope Bob I mean well, I mean there's the guy who's over in Italy, but you know, he's busy You know, he's doing a few other things.
[SPEAKER_04]: He's I think he's asleep in this particular hour Although if you're listening to the podcast, yeah, you know, if you're one of the future people listening to podcasts Maybe you are listening when Pope Bob is awake [SPEAKER_12]: And specifically, there is no other Pope Bob on your show. [SPEAKER_04]: So this is true. [SPEAKER_12]: I'm the only one that gets a Pope Bob introduction. [SPEAKER_03]: This is true. [SPEAKER_12]: This is true. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, thank you.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: We love what you say. [SPEAKER_04]: We love the things you think. [SPEAKER_04]: And we love the fact that among other things, you also like to celebrate some of the good stuff. [SPEAKER_04]: Which is why we left the election recap from right now in the election last section of the news on tap today, Democrats. [SPEAKER_04]: You know, I'm you love him. [SPEAKER_04]: Sean Harris won the most votes about what is 40 point.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: One something like that 40 point three something like that votes in the jungle primary in Georgia in Georgia's fourth I believe it is he will face the Trump endorsed Republican clay fuller. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm sorry that just it was it was I think it was you yesterday, Joe, he was reading I can't remember was you or Jared reading the names.
[SPEAKER_04]: I think it was Jared it wasn't your play [SPEAKER_04]: It very much sounds like a rural Georgia plantation owner, Clay Fula. [SPEAKER_04]: Thanks, anyway. [SPEAKER_09]: I'm the wife of Mr. Clay Fula. [SPEAKER_04]: See, yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: See, look, that's what I'm saying. [SPEAKER_04]: That's why it sounds like that. [SPEAKER_04]: Anyway, our guy, Sean Harris, former general, retired. [SPEAKER_04]: One of the most votes now, it's going to be tough.
[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously, General Washington has lead April 7th for them, but that should be fun as well. [SPEAKER_04]: Here's one. [SPEAKER_04]: Did you hear about this one before this morning, Bob? [SPEAKER_04]: New Hampshire Democrats flipped a Republican seat in New Hampshire Statehouse, notching their 10th straight Democratic special election flip. [SPEAKER_04]: I was right up about that. [SPEAKER_12]: And that is actually that one is much better news than the Georgia race.
[SPEAKER_09]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, because because the thing and I hate to be the Debbie downer about this, it's the runoff is not going to go so well for the Democrat. [SPEAKER_04]: Probably not. [SPEAKER_12]: I mean, it's it's possible. [SPEAKER_04]: We'll see. [SPEAKER_04]: We'll see. [SPEAKER_04]: Well, what do you think? [SPEAKER_12]: Well, sure. [SPEAKER_12]: I mean, it could obviously the tide is with the Democrats right now. [SPEAKER_12]: Right.
[SPEAKER_12]: The thing is with this election in Georgia, there are a bunch of other Republicans on the ballot. [SPEAKER_12]: And so the Republican vote was diluted among a whole opportunity. [SPEAKER_12]: There are only two other Democrats on the ballot. [SPEAKER_02]: I think it was on 11. [SPEAKER_02]: 11. [SPEAKER_02]: 11. [SPEAKER_02]: 11. [SPEAKER_02]: 11. [SPEAKER_02]: 11. [SPEAKER_02]: 11. [SPEAKER_02]: 11. [SPEAKER_02]: 11. [SPEAKER_12]: 11.
[SPEAKER_12]: 11. [SPEAKER_12]: 11. [SPEAKER_12]: 11. [SPEAKER_12]: 11. [SPEAKER_12]: 11. [SPEAKER_12]: 11. [SPEAKER_12]: 11. [SPEAKER_12]: 11. [SPEAKER_12]: 11.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, for the governor too many Democrats are running right now and very few Republicans and as a top two thing and they're literally starting to say, hi guys, let's get those of you that aren't going to win any more than 2% 3% 5% 10% help help the state you say that you want to help exactly TFO yes, yeah, that's our concern right now. [SPEAKER_04]: You're part of it. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: Part of cats.
[SPEAKER_04]: I want you to like get the damn damn damn damn hamster race. [SPEAKER_04]: I dug that one quite a bit. [SPEAKER_04]: That was cool. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, you know, it is. [SPEAKER_04]: It's one of those races where Democrats have have not done. [SPEAKER_04]: Some people just think, oh, it's the Northeast. [SPEAKER_04]: It was Northeast everybody. [SPEAKER_04]: They went everything up there.
[SPEAKER_04]: No. [SPEAKER_04]: And this is, look, if you show up, there was a, was an Arkansas last week where we want to race that nobody thought we'd win. [SPEAKER_04]: I think so. [SPEAKER_04]: When I think this is that there have been three state house races so far this year, special elections and Democrats are three for three. [SPEAKER_12]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_12]: Well, since since the 2024 election, yeah, right, flipped 28 legislative seats and the Republicans have flipped zero zero.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's that's big. [SPEAKER_04]: Right now, I think the PDI, the partisan voter index, that's when we talk about when we talk a plus or minus, we say it's a plus 10c to D or plus 10c to R or whatever, that for you folks here in the bar, that's what we're talking about as the partisan voter index. [SPEAKER_04]: And the general PDI swing right now off the bat, the adjustment.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: Um, some people are saying it's as much as 17 towards Democrats in Democrats favor, which basically means that. [SPEAKER_04]: Well, they're depending on what they're saying, you know, where where the the district is, but they're saying basically, if it was a seat coming out of 2024, you can only judge by what what happened before. [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[SPEAKER_04]: But if you looked in the 2024 election, [SPEAKER_04]: None of those Republicans are safe and any one of those which which means that Republicans are at least the people who deal with the money for the campaign stuff are freaking the F. That's why Kevin Kylie said I'm going to be in the payment. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm with those guys. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm not with those guys, which I would not want to be associated with tiny Johnson anyway. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, kind of.
[SPEAKER_09]: Well, he's caucusing with him. [SPEAKER_09]: And that's a dirty word sounding thing. [SPEAKER_09]: But he caucuses with the GOP still. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_09]: So he's still a Republican, but he's trying to be in California, not. [SPEAKER_09]: right by his BS. [SPEAKER_04]: If you caucus with tiny Johnson, then you're going to be part of the group that's standing there with the public in our shake, the Republicans are shaking their tiny Johnson at us.
[SPEAKER_04]: And then they get mad when we point in laugh, because you say, why are you standing there shaking your tiny, impotent Johnson at us? [SPEAKER_04]: Folks, I'm sorry, if you want a decent sized job. [SPEAKER_09]: When all the grinder accounts, I mean, come on. [SPEAKER_09]: Right. [SPEAKER_12]: What needs to happen is they need to block us the caucus. [SPEAKER_12]: Well played Bob, I can say that on radio, right? [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, exactly.
[SPEAKER_04]: Watch this, watch this, watch this, watch this, yes, I guess I'm talking about the caucus, you know, Google, let your status. [SPEAKER_04]: The Republicans are, they're gonna have problems. [SPEAKER_04]: And the Democrats are doing things I didn't expect them to. [SPEAKER_04]: The DNC, we were talking, we were over at Nicole Sandler's place earlier, when we came to the bar, Bob. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, she's great. [SPEAKER_04]: I was gonna show a couple of weeks ago, yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, it's fine. [SPEAKER_04]: It's great. [SPEAKER_04]: And here's the thing. [SPEAKER_04]: The DNC is actually doing stuff. [SPEAKER_04]: They are they are suing. [SPEAKER_04]: So that they can get the Trump regime on the record as to whether the Trump regime is going to try to to illegally send armed officers to election sites this fall. [SPEAKER_04]: Great. [SPEAKER_04]: At least there.
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, [SPEAKER_04]: There's only so much that a party can do, but the fact that they are doing the things that they can do. [SPEAKER_04]: And instead of going, well, I don't know, who's hamming and honing, you're like, well, okay, great. [SPEAKER_04]: Hell, go, man, go. [SPEAKER_12]: So, I don't know if you saw there was a clip, I'm not sure if it was from today, but it was during Chopper Talk, and Donald was repeatedly asked if he plans to do exactly that.
[SPEAKER_12]: And, oh, he denied it up and down. [SPEAKER_12]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_12]: I don't know what that is. [SPEAKER_12]: I don't know what that is. [SPEAKER_04]: The problem with Chopper Talk stuff, we mentioned that earlier today too, [SPEAKER_04]: I, when I worked for Randy, if it was, if it was a slow day, you can go in. [SPEAKER_04]: It takes about five steps.
[SPEAKER_04]: If you know what you're doing on an audio edit to edit the live and smack out of a chopper talk segment, so that it actually sounds decent, so there's no other thing. [SPEAKER_02]: I'll, I'll have to warn you, Charles, I'll give.
[SPEAKER_04]: and you're people go what they know right exactly but if you edit out all the garbage people can actually hear it but i'm sorry most of the time a we don't have the time as we're rushing around the bar here and b it still sounds [SPEAKER_04]: It sounds like it's washed. [SPEAKER_04]: It sounds like the audio is kind of washed out and it's just like It's not worth it.
[SPEAKER_04]: That's part but that's part of the reason why he does the damn chopper talks And he was asked about the the girls about the bombing that about the the the the time-a-hawk missile us killing all the girls And he did one of his oh, I'm sorry.
[SPEAKER_04]: I can't really hear you can't really understand you thing which he can do because I don't know what I get about that Yeah, don't know nothing about birth and no babies bastard [SPEAKER_04]: I was surprised, I was surprised though over on Fox, I don't know if you heard this one, but or no, actually it was CNN. [SPEAKER_04]: So Senator Fogghorn, Lakehorn, aka John Kennedy, Louisiana, was actually asked about the girls and this is this was shocking.
[SPEAKER_04]: He actually showed some remorse. [SPEAKER_05]: I was shocked. [SPEAKER_05]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_05]: It was a terrible, terrible mistake. [SPEAKER_05]: The investigation may [SPEAKER_05]: I wish they hadn't happened, I'm sorry it happened, yeah, I can assure you it wasn't intentional. [SPEAKER_05]: That's not, that's just for the fun of Russia does. [SPEAKER_05]: We don't do that.
[SPEAKER_12]: actually we kind of have done that but that's anyway he had me up until i don't think it was intentional right because i i i mean i i do believe it was i think it's absolutely intentional obviously that remains to be seen and i could be very easily proven wrong but i mean i wouldn't i wouldn't put it past this group of second-rate deletons to go ahead and you know psychopaths i mean i'm with you all my girl school
[SPEAKER_12]: to send a signal to say, hey, look, look, we're tough guys, we're right, because they think killing, they think killing elementary school girls makes them tough. [SPEAKER_04]: First they also think dating elementary school girls makes them sexy. [SPEAKER_04]: So that's part of the reason why we call them the Trump Epstein class. [SPEAKER_12]: I think what's going to happen is we're going to find out that the intelligence was old.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes. [SPEAKER_12]: And that they thought that the school was still part of the IRGC. [SPEAKER_09]: And that's why it's technically a mistake. [SPEAKER_04]: But at the same time, I think they are going to rely on the fact, they're going to claim, oh, oops, sorry. [SPEAKER_04]: We use the old intelligence. [SPEAKER_04]: And the fact is, I think they knew it wasn't. [SPEAKER_04]: But it was one of those situations where they went, oh, well, there's new intelligence.
[SPEAKER_04]: Did we can just say, oops, we didn't know. [SPEAKER_04]: And we'll use the old intelligence and say we were just doing that. [SPEAKER_09]: And then to the people who are on our side, we'll look big enough and then you have Jim Commer saying as you have been saying for almost a year now, Jim Commer wants to take Donald under the bus about Epstein. [SPEAKER_04]: Okay, explain to us how you're your theory on this Bob, because I've still said you think that he's kind of crafty on this.
[SPEAKER_04]: I just think Jim Commer is so dumb, he couldn't count as eyeballs and get the same number twice. [SPEAKER_04]: So I don't think he's smart enough to do that. [SPEAKER_09]: I think you're right, Bob, that that because Commer said yesterday to Jesse Waters, oh, yeah, the DOJ in 2019 shut down the investigation in New Mexico. [SPEAKER_12]: Yes, the Trump DOJ shut down. [SPEAKER_12]: And they shut down what was at the Southern District of New York.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes, they shut them both down. [SPEAKER_09]: So, and Commer said that yesterday, so I'm with you, Bob. [SPEAKER_09]: I think as much as we don't think he's that smart, I think he doesn't like Donald and he's [SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, or he wants the distance himself on this issue from the Trump administration. [SPEAKER_12]: Maybe. [SPEAKER_12]: Because he knows there's a whole segment of the mega community, the mega disciples.
[SPEAKER_12]: We're first, they've been obsessed with Jeffrey Epstein for 2019 in the east. [SPEAKER_12]: And now, I think going back to what you're saying about Jesse Waters and Jim Comer is I think, by the way, they want to make it seem like Joe Biden was president in 2019. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, God. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, they have been they've been trying to allied and, you know, wipe dirt mentally over that entire period from 2019 to 2021.
[SPEAKER_04]: So, you know, all all those dead bodies from COVID just forget about all of that. [SPEAKER_04]: No, that was all Biden Democrats. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, they've been trying to say that for for years now, which is sleepy Joe. [SPEAKER_12]: Right. [SPEAKER_04]: Although this is this so we were talking about this earlier. [SPEAKER_04]: Jody and I because I saw I saw a bit earlier today.
[SPEAKER_04]: I saw bits actually today on CNN and on MS now and on the ABC streamer and on MS now they did two bits. [SPEAKER_04]: One of them with a guy who you know you're you're your standard trump voter [SPEAKER_04]: You know, uh, could be a rural guy, could be a blue collar guy, white guy, um, maybe our age, uh, a little bit of a scruff, a little bit overweight, and just, you know, be in man. [SPEAKER_04]: I, I, I feel betrayed.
[SPEAKER_04]: He, um, really Joe Rogan kind of, uh, displayed the exact attitude that this guy had. [SPEAKER_04]: Here, let me play this on the DVR. [SPEAKER_01]: This seems so insane. [SPEAKER_01]: Based on what he ran on. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this is why a lot of people feel betrayed, right? [SPEAKER_01]: He ran on no more wars. [SPEAKER_01]: and these stupid senseless wars. [SPEAKER_01]: And then we have one that we can't even really clearly define why we did it. [SPEAKER_04]: And we get it.
[SPEAKER_04]: They feel betrayed and that's fine. [SPEAKER_04]: But we were saying in the first hour, Bob, that I said they need to get smart. [SPEAKER_04]: They need to take rabbit pills. [SPEAKER_04]: And if you know that joke, you know, they're not exactly pills. [SPEAKER_04]: But they do need to get smarter. [SPEAKER_12]: Uh-huh. [SPEAKER_12]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_12]: I mean, especially because, you know what, I personally warned Joe Rogan.
[SPEAKER_12]: I know Joe Rogan won't talk about this on Stephanie Miller's show this morning. [SPEAKER_12]: I know Joe Rogan going back to the late 90s and not that I was, you know, not that I continue to be pals with him as pre-fear factor on a friendly basis for a good five six years there in the early part of this century. [SPEAKER_12]: And to the point where we followed each other or at least, I know he followed me on Twitter.
[SPEAKER_12]: And so I would use that opening to send him DMs, correcting some of the stuff that he was saying on his show. [SPEAKER_12]: And I was warning him about a second Donald Trump term and saying this guy is a disaster and I would send him links. [SPEAKER_12]: He's not who you think he is. [SPEAKER_12]: He's not right. [SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, and it just he then, you know, again, he was warned about this. [SPEAKER_12]: You know, to ignore that in gorge Donald Trump.
[SPEAKER_12]: And so this is every single person, every of every one of the 78 million Americans who voted for Donald Trump, they all have blood in their hands right now. [SPEAKER_09]: I agree. [SPEAKER_12]: It's not only American soldiers, but obviously 165, seven year olds are way in and grab the Iran. [SPEAKER_12]: And all, you know, we're talking about decades of retaliation that's going to occur to some points of this indiscriminate bombing of Iran.
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, and all the people who died because of the U.S. and I do funding that was taken away and all the people who died because of COVID and all the people who, oh, yeah, there's, there's lots of people all around the world who have plenty of reason to hate Donald Trump and to hate the people who put Donald Trump in power, not once [SPEAKER_04]: But I get why they feel betrayed. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm just like, well, that's fine. [SPEAKER_04]: But get smarter for God's sake.
[SPEAKER_04]: Because the rest of us, the ability for rest to live on this planet relies on you people actually, you know, having at least a couple of active brain cells. [SPEAKER_04]: So. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we see you. [SPEAKER_04]: We see you Daisy the kitty. [SPEAKER_09]: She just wants to eat the courts.
[SPEAKER_04]: No, no eating the courts But we do have the courts and the microphones for another segment Bob says hanging out with us here on a Wednesday night at the politics bar Fresh in your drink and come right back. [SPEAKER_04]: We got more stuff to talk about with Bob hang on [SPEAKER_08]: We'll be right back after we pay some bills at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_04]: We have fun here on the break. [SPEAKER_04]: Honestly, sometimes I want to release the stuff in the break.
[SPEAKER_09]: I have it all. [SPEAKER_04]: It is fun. [SPEAKER_04]: It is. [SPEAKER_04]: We're having a good time tonight with Bob Sasko, which is great. [SPEAKER_04]: Me and you and Jody have fun with Bob. [SPEAKER_04]: If you missed any of the fun so far tonight. [SPEAKER_04]: The best thing to do, you know, I know you're listening live on the radio. [SPEAKER_04]: You got things you're doing. [SPEAKER_04]: Maybe you had to stop at the drive through whatever. [SPEAKER_04]: Just get the podcast.
[SPEAKER_04]: It helps. [SPEAKER_04]: That way you can roll things back and catch the stuff you missed. [SPEAKER_04]: You go to the politics bar dot com for $6 a month You get the podcast ad free and then of course you get the drink of the day with the recipe Which is nice and you get the news on tap. [SPEAKER_04]: It's all there at the politics bar dot com. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, oh, Bob I can't remember I told you this last week.
[SPEAKER_04]: We figured this out It we're calling it March madness or actually joining us up better to March madness [SPEAKER_04]: Because you know, $6 a month breaks down to like a bug 50 a week if there's four weeks, but since March basically has five weeks, it's less than a bug 50 a week. [SPEAKER_04]: It's magically cheaper. [SPEAKER_12]: March madness. [SPEAKER_12]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: March madness. [SPEAKER_04]: Yes. [SPEAKER_12]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_12]: Indeed. [SPEAKER_12]: Excellent.
[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, that makes me think of Dick Vytal, who is for him to sue me because I made a cartoon about him. [SPEAKER_12]: Oh my god. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_12]: And it was a pretty heinous cartoon. [SPEAKER_12]: I just am imagining Dick Vytal being flagged over to, you know, like an intern. [SPEAKER_12]: Oh god. [SPEAKER_12]: Mr. Vytal, I need to show you this and he's watching the imagining Dick Vytal watching this horrendous cartoon that I made of him.
[SPEAKER_04]: Look, some people cannot, some people cannot take it and some media folks are just horrible. [SPEAKER_04]: We talked about this earlier. [SPEAKER_04]: It's in the media matters in the news on tap today. [SPEAKER_04]: So, Pete Kagreth has now decided to block a photojournalist from any Iran war briefings. [SPEAKER_04]: And no photojournalists, all photos must be officially approved basically by Pete, which is... [SPEAKER_09]: So it's like a selfie approval?
[SPEAKER_04]: Basically, it's it's you have to make me look good, but just I'm sorry, but that kind of goes along with your dick fight haljo It's like dude. [SPEAKER_04]: It's a joke get over it. [SPEAKER_09]: And it's by the way just look at my getty images as Chris Lavois said. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, those are unfortunate See I get a images mine Her or Joe. [SPEAKER_12]: Oh, I will send you those [SPEAKER_12]: No, I've seen some of your getty images, not ladies, not ladies.
[SPEAKER_04]: I will take issue with that. [SPEAKER_04]: As a kid, when you were younger, when I was 18, 20. [SPEAKER_04]: No, I think I've seen some of those pictures when you're younger, and I'm half of it, half of it. [SPEAKER_12]: Oh, well, I mean, no one can account for the clothing. [SPEAKER_12]: I mean, there are dozens and dozens of pictures with me just sporting the most heinous mallet. [SPEAKER_12]: You could possibly Well, that was on purpose. [SPEAKER_12]: I see a couple of people.
[SPEAKER_09]: I had to wear it because somebody told me to wear it. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh Well, then that doesn't even count because if that wasn't your turn. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no, you have to see there's a picture of my mom and me skipping matter, not your choice. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you look. [SPEAKER_04]: I have worn plenty of things that I have not my choice. [SPEAKER_09]: I would fill this [SPEAKER_09]: space with what I was wearing. [SPEAKER_04]: No, there's still not not wasn't your choice.
[SPEAKER_04]: I get it. [SPEAKER_12]: Oh, no, but my choice was how it looked Mullet well passed a shelf life Bob, it's back apparently the Mullet is back exactly Mark Wayne Mullet. [SPEAKER_04]: I mean [SPEAKER_04]: It's not a healing mallet. [SPEAKER_09]: That's a better name. [SPEAKER_04]: He will be coming up. [SPEAKER_04]: I believe next week. [SPEAKER_04]: Rand Paul is talking about that for approval. [SPEAKER_04]: But back to the media thing.
[SPEAKER_04]: We're talking about earlier just how some of the media is so crap. [SPEAKER_04]: And you were saying there's some ABC news thing, how they're saying that the California is going to get bombed from drones. [SPEAKER_12]: It's not. [SPEAKER_12]: gonna get bombed from drones but there's an FBI warning that went out to police departments in California. [SPEAKER_12]: Oh, at least we got the warning. [SPEAKER_12]: This is not right.
[SPEAKER_12]: It's not disinformation or anything like this. [SPEAKER_04]: It's not generally the very vice-CBSBS news. [SPEAKER_12]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_12]: Well, this is I'll just read the lead straight up off of my computer screen over here. [SPEAKER_12]: The FBI warned police departments in California in recent days that Iran could retaliate for American attacks by launching drones at the West Coast according to an alert reviewed
[SPEAKER_12]: quote, we recently acquired information that as of early February 2026, Iran allegedly aspired to conduct a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles from an unidentified vessel off the coast of the United States homeland, specifically against unspecified targets in California in the event that the U.S. conducted strikes against Iran. [SPEAKER_09]: Okay. [SPEAKER_12]: So the worrying is if we attack Iran, they're going to hit us with drones.
[SPEAKER_12]: But that was weeks ago and we just Well, that's what's when the warning went out. [SPEAKER_12]: It was kind of a preemptive warning. [SPEAKER_12]: If you guys start bombing Iran, we're going to retaliate with drone strikes along the coast of Africa. [SPEAKER_09]: I'm not buying what FBI is selling because there is another report that they're not telling any cities.
[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_12]: Well, this is part of the problem that we face with such a reckless and irresponsible preemptive war, which is what Donald Trump has obviously engaged in, which is that not only is there going to be a very legitimate threat of blowback in the form of terrorism, but then that's going to be accompanied by, oh, well, it's an emergency because of a terrorist threat.
[SPEAKER_12]: So we're going to roll back several liberties, which we all witnessed in the wake of 9-11, and so forth. [SPEAKER_12]: So this is, I think, a double-edged sword, as far as one of the many consequences of Donald's ridiculous adventurism in the Middle East and on top of the economic damage and the killing of children and the, and plus of course the incompetence of Pete Cagbreath. [SPEAKER_04]: And so, you know, we don't know what the hell.
[SPEAKER_04]: And of course you got to cash, Patel. [SPEAKER_04]: got to go well borrow the plane again and go see my country singer girlfriend at a bar and got knows where oh wait we we didn't even talk about is it donnie juniors kid or whoever's kid [SPEAKER_04]: Oh yeah, you're talking about the 19-year-old. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I trust his her name. [SPEAKER_04]: She's jolly. [SPEAKER_04]: She's an influencer. [SPEAKER_04]: Your favorite category of people.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, I love them so much. [SPEAKER_09]: Um, so she took her secret service. [SPEAKER_09]: People to go to an air one expensive grocery store. [SPEAKER_09]: But she took them on a plane to fly to an air one. [SPEAKER_09]: I assume here. [SPEAKER_09]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_09]: I assume they're just here. [SPEAKER_09]: I don't know if they're on the East Coast, but and then she talked about how hi Have my secret serves and I'm buying all this stuff.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's like Do you want them to kill you and your family because this is such that she blurt out the secret service? [SPEAKER_04]: No, she did not [SPEAKER_09]: No, she doesn't blow out them because so they're in flux, but amongst that it's like, hi, you want some cake? [SPEAKER_09]: Here have some cake. [SPEAKER_09]: You pours that don't have to fly, don't don't have the luxury of flying across the country.
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, they do that anyway with so many of the things they do. [SPEAKER_04]: We're going to be that obvious. [SPEAKER_04]: it's so this is it's one of the reasons why when we were talking with the coal we said this before here in the bar two i still say uh i think i think came up uh when we're talking with the bdd or leave us week two when we good folks get back in one of the things we should do as a baseline reform
[SPEAKER_04]: is okay fine so the presiding officer and this is this has been one of the the hobby horses I've been on Bob don't call the president call the presiding officer because everybody goes okay president kind of like a king but if you call somebody a presiding officer everybody's like ah cheap cheap paper shuffler [SPEAKER_04]: which is basically what it's supposed to be, but make sure that the presiding officer can only oversee any military action for like, let's say, two weeks.
[SPEAKER_04]: And after that, no more money, no more nothing. [SPEAKER_04]: So you absolutely are, you have to take that suck out of Congress, and as soon as it goes to Congress, everybody. [SPEAKER_04]: So President, Vice President, everybody in Congress, if they have kids who are of age or they happen to have like, nieces and nephews, [SPEAKER_04]: they would be right there on a front lines. [SPEAKER_04]: So you want to vote for it. [SPEAKER_04]: That's cool.
[SPEAKER_04]: But your kids are going to be the ones catching the flag. [SPEAKER_04]: Now you go. [SPEAKER_12]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_12]: Not what go on Bob here's an here's an unpopular opinion. [SPEAKER_12]: Okay. [SPEAKER_12]: I hope that Donald and I do too. [SPEAKER_12]: I do too. [SPEAKER_09]: I do too. [SPEAKER_12]: Because he has to go to the mega movement. [SPEAKER_12]: You want to see the end. [SPEAKER_12]: Oh, Donald Trump.
[SPEAKER_04]: implement a draft go for it guys you're just saying for them to try because it would have to go into two in order to have a draft This is right right right and the fact that if they would try it like this this stupid save act, which by the way
[SPEAKER_04]: uh... Republicans are still trying to push it through thune is basically set up a uh... show vote for next week he's already said we do not have the votes to pass it i will not kill the filibuster because thune he's one of those will fashion senators who knows that that is one of the only big powers that congress that the members of the senate still have it's the members of the senate that are in the minority [SPEAKER_04]: Right, and he knows that next year it's entirely possible.
[SPEAKER_04]: He could be in the minority and that's the and also the Democrats save the Republicans with the filibuster All the time unfortunately you're right on there, but look you should call your member of Congress and tell him call your member of the Senate 202 2243121 exactly I know that better than the bar line. [SPEAKER_04]: Save America. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah, I got the bar line written in a little note over here.
[SPEAKER_04]: So it's fine [SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, call them and tell them to vote no on the save America absolutely long and short is that they are going to to bring that up and it'll kill it in the Maga people will be all pissed off. [SPEAKER_04]: Well, well, well, well, well, well, well, but if they tried that with the draft, I think you're right, Bob, I think that would they would I mean, you you've already got the Maga people and the America first people.
[SPEAKER_04]: The American first people ate a couple of those rabbit turds the smart pills and they're like a wait a minute You said no more war and now there's war I mean Marjorie Taylor Greene. [SPEAKER_04]: I don't like her.
[SPEAKER_04]: I don't agree with her on um teen different things But she is she's the one who's really made the the definition of the split between America first And Maga yeah, she has Maga belongs to Trump [SPEAKER_04]: But America first we believe most of the same things well we're not dumb enough to believe when you tell us no war, and then you go to war, you're like, yeah, we're doing fine as well.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_12]: Also, John old believes that if he stops the bombing tomorrow or whenever it happens to be in the near term, that that's going to be the end of it. [SPEAKER_12]: That nothing else is gonna happen after that.
[SPEAKER_12]: I think a good normal snap your fingers Yes, I think you ran will not open up the straight of her mose that will never happen This is and on going you jut Donald may have not wanted a long war, but he's gonna get a long Yes, you are currently the long exit from whatever this you know mini war is even if even if [SPEAKER_04]: There are so many ships. [SPEAKER_04]: This is one of these things I know from the Navy and shipping stuff that I've done.
[SPEAKER_04]: Even if he did snap his fingers and boom, they said, okay, fine, you know, we'll reopen the streets and everything. [SPEAKER_04]: It's going to take like there's like literally like a seven or eight day backlog. [SPEAKER_04]: Because remember, it takes a pilot. [SPEAKER_04]: They have to helicopter in a particular specific person who knows how to get through that really tiny area in the straights of her moves to actually basically drive the ship through the straight.
[SPEAKER_04]: Each time. [SPEAKER_04]: It's like a week long backup of ships just to get in and out of there. [SPEAKER_04]: So even if he snaps his fingers today,
[SPEAKER_12]: it's still going to take a week to clear the backlog at least and a ran as mining the straight as well as we know that was not just a raining in military and drones that are the problem there it's the mining of it and so what they're not they're not going to I assure you a ran's not going to run around and pick up all the mines no when Donald says okay I'm done that's not going to happen okay I think we've had enough I think we've had enough I think we're
[SPEAKER_12]: So, I mean, to define this as reckless, is really understating how ridiculous this is and how to mentally dangerous. [SPEAKER_12]: I mean, even put out there the fact that now other nations like China could use this as a pretext, say, yes, Taiwan was a threat to us, so we're gonna invade Taiwan. [SPEAKER_04]: And Russia's on our skin. [SPEAKER_12]: We're gonna invade Japan. [SPEAKER_12]: Uh-huh. [SPEAKER_12]: And who else? [SPEAKER_12]: South Korea. [SPEAKER_04]: Russia.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: We got to go on a fair section. [SPEAKER_04]: They were Russia says hey, I ran couldn't trust you. [SPEAKER_04]: How can we trust you on the Ukraine deal? [SPEAKER_04]: Come on, U.S. We can't trust you guys anymore. [SPEAKER_04]: Try to take Vietnam for God's sake. [SPEAKER_09]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_04]: We didn't even get a chance to talk with you about track politics, which everybody should what is the episode coming up this weekend Track politics.com.
[SPEAKER_12]: We're talking about the enemy within work out. [SPEAKER_12]: Oh, I love it. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that is a good episode. [SPEAKER_04]: Great episode. [SPEAKER_04]: If you guys have not subscribed, you should have seen it for ever. [SPEAKER_04]: Politics. [SPEAKER_09]: I'm going to wear my outfit and watch it there. [SPEAKER_04]: You know, they all look like that. [SPEAKER_04]: Of course. [SPEAKER_04]: Obviously Bob Cesska.com as well
[SPEAKER_04]: that's a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a
