[SPEAKER_01]: It's political. [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, radical. [SPEAKER_01]: You think it's a part of where we were. [SPEAKER_01]: The politics bar. [SPEAKER_01]: Shotsmith, Pearson, Shoney Hamilton. [SPEAKER_03]: Hey, Shoney, I love you, sure. [SPEAKER_03]: I know it's so fun, because I'm always right. [SPEAKER_08]: This is true. [SPEAKER_08]: Jodie is right. [SPEAKER_08]: In fact, you could get your own Jodie is right, T-shirts at the politicsbar.com. [SPEAKER_08]: Good evening.

[SPEAKER_08]: Good Thursday evening. [SPEAKER_08]: Thanks to all of you who are coming in and joining us. [SPEAKER_08]: From wherever you happen to be listening, whether that is on WCBT AMA 20 in Chicago, AM950 in Minneapolis, St. [SPEAKER_08]: Paul, the detour talk in Tennessee or progressive voices radio worldwide, wherever you want to be. [SPEAKER_08]: And soon, soon we will be back on Georgia now coming at a month away from now. [SPEAKER_08]: But anyway, thank you.

[SPEAKER_08]: If you are listening on the podcast as well, you wonderful crazy future people. [SPEAKER_08]: And, you know, if you're one of those galaxy-brain people who are listening both live and you download the podcast on your podcast player or from the politicsbar.com, you're like smarter than almost all of us. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: Almost.

[SPEAKER_08]: except for Jody and I guess you know we're the ones that actually set up the show you know you're on sets up the show you know look look we both we both do this but today was one of those days where I saw some things that I don't think everybody else saw so I kind of you know I I organized stuff you sent some stuff in one way and I'm like okay that'll work but how about this anyway okay yeah I guess that'll work too so you know it's

[SPEAKER_08]: You see enough new stuff, you see that's coming down. [SPEAKER_08]: That's just how that kind of goes. [SPEAKER_08]: And it very definitely. [SPEAKER_08]: For those of you who are subscribed, by the way, thank you very much for checking out the news. [SPEAKER_08]: Tap John Fuegel's angle. [SPEAKER_08]: We'll be in to the bar here. [SPEAKER_08]: He's coming to visit us tonight before he goes to New His event at the 90 Second Street.

[SPEAKER_08]: Why with Gristella Alonzo about his book Separation of Church and Hate? [SPEAKER_08]: So we will be talking to him about that. [SPEAKER_08]: Of course, we have a good drink of the day about another drunk American author. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_03]: It just can't help it. [SPEAKER_03]: Is it is it that that it just came up in the calendar or it's kind of a combo plate and actually my old boss knew the writer who we have the homage to.

[SPEAKER_03]: He actually has a handwritten letter from him. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, wow. [SPEAKER_08]: That's pretty cool. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay. [SPEAKER_08]: Was it kind of slurred? [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, was it kind of smeared? [SPEAKER_08]: because you know, sometimes you drink in a little bit and you get a little ink on the page. [SPEAKER_03]: Now, it was kind of cool when he showed it to me. [SPEAKER_03]: I was like, wow, because I think his parents were friends with him or something.

[SPEAKER_08]: Wow, that's kind of cool. [SPEAKER_08]: Look, if you don't know who we're talking about, you can subscribe to the drink of the day as well. [SPEAKER_08]: You know what to do that the politics bar. [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_08]: Alrighty, um, Jodi, I'm pretty geeked up. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm pretty happy because Jimmy Kimmel was back with his second night, but they actually had the ratings from the first night. [SPEAKER_08]: Um, I know you know this.

[SPEAKER_08]: I could say gas, but you already know. [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, we were talking about it. [SPEAKER_08]: The ratings were huge. [SPEAKER_03]: They were huge. [SPEAKER_03]: That was, that was just, final. [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm so happy with 23% of the affiliates not showing. [SPEAKER_03]: His show on their stations. [SPEAKER_03]: People still found a way to watch it. [SPEAKER_08]: Two six million people watched it live on ABC affiliates.

[SPEAKER_08]: 26 million saw [SPEAKER_08]: Donnie, couldn't take a joke. [SPEAKER_08]: Jimmy Kindle got over 30 million, about 32 million people watching his show. [SPEAKER_08]: That's huge ratings, that's like Super Bowl ratings. [SPEAKER_03]: It is, that's, that's, that's, I mean, when the a little television show that I produced and got an Emmy nomination for, called Carol Burnett Show Stoppers got 32 million as well. [SPEAKER_03]: So I know how big that is.

[SPEAKER_03]: And we were up against a money night football game that night, too. [SPEAKER_03]: By the way, 32 million? [SPEAKER_03]: We still got 32 million people. [SPEAKER_08]: Nice, Jodie is very good. [SPEAKER_03]: And it was really good game, by the way. [SPEAKER_03]: So wait a minute, you were watching the game when your own show was on the show was on in Los Angeles at a later time than the game. [SPEAKER_08]: Ah, I see how you're doing it.

[SPEAKER_08]: With that wonderful time shifting thing that we're able to do. [SPEAKER_03]: No, I was like, oh my god, we've lost the Midwest with this game because it was just like, there's no way they're watching my show because look at this game. [SPEAKER_03]: But clearly, they clearly out west they watched it because I mean, they watched it all over the country and spite of a really good football game that was on that.

[SPEAKER_08]: Obviously, we don't know the ratings yet for Jimmy last night, but he was pretty good on night too, as well. [SPEAKER_08]: I got this on the DVR here, letting play this. [SPEAKER_00]: And here from one very special friend, well, moments after we take our show last night, the Mad Red Hatter wrote, I can't believe ABC Fake News gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back.

[SPEAKER_00]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha [SPEAKER_00]: Amen. [SPEAKER_00]: It's fantastic. [SPEAKER_00]: And there's more.

[SPEAKER_00]: The White House was told by ABC that his show was canceled, though they weren't. [SPEAKER_00]: Something happened between then and now, because his audience has gone and his talent was never there. [SPEAKER_00]: That I can't argue with. [SPEAKER_00]: Shut the f*** up. [SPEAKER_00]: The freedom of speech is only for me. [SPEAKER_08]: That's awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: That's awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: Not in a rubber president.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why would they want someone back who does so poorly who's not funny and who puts the network in jeopardy by playing 99% positive Democrat garbage who puts the network in jeopardy. [SPEAKER_00]: You're here that there's the threat again.

[SPEAKER_00]: This time straight from FCC biscuits mouth he goes, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, [SPEAKER_00]: He said, I think we're going to test ABC out on this.

[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see how we do. [SPEAKER_00]: Last time I went after them, they gave me $16 million. [SPEAKER_00]: This one sounds even more lucrative. [SPEAKER_00]: A true bunch of losers. [SPEAKER_00]: Only Donald Trump would try to prove he wasn't threatening ABC by threatening ABC. [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_08]: God, Donnie is just such an idiot. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he's not, he doesn't, obviously he was pooping. [SPEAKER_03]: So he doesn't think, um, pooping.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's a Jackie Shackner thing. [SPEAKER_03]: I stole that from her. [SPEAKER_03]: I love Jackie. [SPEAKER_08]: I should say if we should get Jackie in the bars. [SPEAKER_03]: I'll see if we can. [SPEAKER_08]: You know, I have, I have met Jackie, I have laughed with Jackie. [SPEAKER_08]: I still remember looking at the TV going, man, she's hot. [SPEAKER_08]: So yes, I've lusted for doing that. [SPEAKER_08]: She is. [SPEAKER_06]: She's beautiful.

[SPEAKER_08]: Why, you know, I know she was. [SPEAKER_08]: This was back when she was first doing the internet stuff for CNN.

[SPEAKER_08]: And I'm like, [SPEAKER_08]: Hello, you know the whole thing of hello, nice Anyways, I was like whatever, but yeah, so if you'd be fun to have her in we're gonna have some great guests in obviously We got Jojo from jurors coming in we have fragile to come in tomorrow by the way Rebecca Buckwell or Poza is gonna be back here in the bar [SPEAKER_08]: She has a piece that is in today's news on tap. [SPEAKER_08]: It's down to the election land section.

[SPEAKER_08]: I'm jumping down to there instead of some of the stuff at first, because I want you guys to know, this is really important. [SPEAKER_08]: There's also a poll in New Jersey that says the governor's racist tie between Democrat, Mikey Cheryl and the Republican. [SPEAKER_08]: You guys in New Jersey. [SPEAKER_03]: Come on. [SPEAKER_08]: You guys, girls, New Jersey. [SPEAKER_08]: And girls, guys, and girls in New Jersey. [SPEAKER_08]: You got to get on the stick.

[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not kidding. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they do. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm not kidding. [SPEAKER_08]: So make sure the Cheryl gets in because you don't want that mobster said a rally to get it. [SPEAKER_08]: And he does. [SPEAKER_08]: He looks like a mobster is awful. [SPEAKER_08]: But you can see the his pictures there next to a Cheryl's picture down in the election land section right next to the piece from Rebecca.

[SPEAKER_08]: which there's a message to any Democrat who's running and I'm sure it could take this message to date it proves that supporting trans rights does not cost elections and it actually helps you win them. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, it does. [SPEAKER_03]: So yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, definitely read the piece. [SPEAKER_08]: We'll talk with you back a more about that tomorrow. [SPEAKER_08]: Head and back up to the top of the news on tap today.

[SPEAKER_08]: So yes, Jimmy Kimmel got fantastic ratings. [SPEAKER_08]: And there was another win too. [SPEAKER_08]: We had federal judge rolled at his unconstitutional for the Trump administration to require states to cooperate with ICE in order to get FEMA grants, which [SPEAKER_08]: Look, that is really, you know, it's the kind of mobster crap that Donnie's been trying, the whole damn time. [SPEAKER_08]: Yep. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it is. [SPEAKER_08]: That's, that's it.

[SPEAKER_08]: Look, this is a mob thugocracy. [SPEAKER_08]: It is, it's, it's government, my terrorism. [SPEAKER_06]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_08]: And they are trying to terrorize the people who they're anomaly supposed to represent us. [SPEAKER_08]: All of us, regardless of how you're registered and who you voted for. [SPEAKER_08]: So you're looking at something I'm seeing you you've got your your eye on something I'm just trying to you know get ready for drink of the day. [SPEAKER_03]: That's all.

[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, okay You were getting it getting the things lined up. [SPEAKER_08]: It is a good drink of the day.

[SPEAKER_08]: It is a good drink of the day So you if you if you if you haven't if you missed the drink of the day if you missed the news on tap You can subscribe to all of it there the politics bar dot com [SPEAKER_08]: Um, there is a really good piece in there for uh, in the news on tap today from Adam Sirwer and um, um, he's really kind of, uh, noting what Hillary Clinton recently noted in her interview. [SPEAKER_08]: I think it was yesterday on Morning Joe.

[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, if you saw that one, uh, what, um, Kamala Harris has been saying recently. [SPEAKER_08]: that's the gutless elites in this country who have bowed all of the university presence and the Wall Street jackasses and they've been spineless. [SPEAKER_08]: The folks who temporarily removed Jimmy Kimmel. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, they've all been gutless turrets. [SPEAKER_08]: But the people who are not cowards, they're really the average folks.

[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: that the people like you and me and the folks who who come into this bar who work all day or all nights, you know, if you're listening to us before you had an in on third shift, thank you very much for that. [SPEAKER_08]: Um, look, this is, it's going to be us. [SPEAKER_08]: There's nobody coming to save us but us. [SPEAKER_03]: Right. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we're the heroes we need. [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, yeah, which wasn't my one of Mama said, but now got 2008.

[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: So almost 20 years ago now. [SPEAKER_03]: Gosh, you know, it's almost 20. [SPEAKER_03]: Jesus. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: You know, that's mean. [SPEAKER_03]: That's just mean. [SPEAKER_03]: It's like saying to 1980 is almost 50 years from now. [SPEAKER_03]: That's just mean. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, sorry. [SPEAKER_08]: That's the 80s are getting close to 50. [SPEAKER_08]: Sh-sh-sh-sh-sh-sh. [SPEAKER_08]: it does not seem like it for me either.

[SPEAKER_08]: It does not. [SPEAKER_08]: I do not, you know, I look at my own age and I'm like, um, how the hell is that possible? [SPEAKER_08]: You know, look at our parents age. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm like, no, no, no, but it is. [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, time keeps moving on and the one thing that, you know, one of the few things that remains constant other than baseball to some degree. [SPEAKER_08]: I know that's that old phrase.

[SPEAKER_08]: But one of the few things that remains constant is the fact that [SPEAKER_08]: Bullies are easy to beat if you stand up to them. [SPEAKER_08]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_08]: Relatively easy. [SPEAKER_08]: Look, I'm not saying it's, you know, uh, you do with one hand and you keep watching your TV. [SPEAKER_08]: You got to do stuff. [SPEAKER_08]: You got to get out and do stuff.

[SPEAKER_08]: If you can't get out and do stuff for whatever reason, maybe you've got disability, maybe you, you know, really can't afford to go out. [SPEAKER_08]: But you're still connected. [SPEAKER_08]: You got online. [SPEAKER_08]: You're listening to us online. [SPEAKER_08]: You're listening to us on your radio. [SPEAKER_08]: You can still do things. [SPEAKER_03]: phone calls postcards, all right, exactly. [SPEAKER_08]: Sir, Sherry jacobas was saying this to us earlier this week.

[SPEAKER_08]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_08]: Phone calls and written letters are some of the best things that you can do to your not just your Congress people, but also to your state representatives. [SPEAKER_08]: and to your folks at City Hall. [SPEAKER_08]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_08]: You get that stuff to them and you let them know that you are listening and you are paying attention and you are reading legitimate news sources and you either like what they do or don't.

[SPEAKER_08]: Don't always do the thing that my mom always did. [SPEAKER_08]: My mom always used to say, you know, if you don't hear from me, you're doing good, if you hear from me, pray. [SPEAKER_08]: right, right. [SPEAKER_08]: Also, it's good to tell people who are doing good that you in fact believe that they're doing good, you know, both both kudos and criticism are warranted and wanted. [SPEAKER_08]: You want to do both. [SPEAKER_08]: So make sure you're doing a little bit of both.

[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: You can get involved even if you just sit in there even if you just sit in here The corner of the bar over there and you're like, yeah, I'm on my phone. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, maybe not on your phone But you know what I'm saying you can plan out put it in your put it in your calendar for tomorrow You know you got a break at 10 15 in the morning or whatever Call your congressperson takes five minutes. [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.

[SPEAKER_08]: There you go [SPEAKER_08]: All right, look, we got a lot more news on Tap tonight. [SPEAKER_08]: We got John Fuckel saying coming in talking about his book and about the news of the day. [SPEAKER_08]: We do have that drink of the day celebrating another great drunk American writer. [SPEAKER_03]: Hey, you know, it's a theme this week. [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly, John's a drunk writer though. [SPEAKER_03]: He's just a writer. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, the pens on the night, I suppose.

[SPEAKER_03]: I've never seen that man drunk, so. [SPEAKER_03]: This is true. [SPEAKER_03]: I haven't either. [SPEAKER_08]: But like, well, last John, what his favorite drink is tonight, and we will get you the drink of the day as well. [SPEAKER_08]: Fresh it up, your drink, come on back. [SPEAKER_08]: We got more. [SPEAKER_08]: It is a Thursday night here at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_02]: We'll be right back after we'd pay some bills at the politics bar.

[SPEAKER_08]: There is the night here at the politics ball. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, we're very glad that you have joined us from wherever you happen to be. [SPEAKER_08]: We're also glad that you guys contact us on our social media. [SPEAKER_08]: And you guys give some interesting voicemails as well.

[SPEAKER_08]: There's one, I'll have to play for you later, Jodie, it was, yeah, I'll just, no, and look, if you want to leave a voicemail, you can do it anytime, 213-677-777-7258, that's 213-677 salt, like in your margarita, or you can get a hold of us on any of our social media platforms, blue sky, threads, Instagram, Facebook, Substack, or Twitter, you know where we're at, we are at the politics mar. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, Jody. [SPEAKER_08]: It is Thursday nights.

[SPEAKER_08]: I see your wonderful little Daisy Kitty is a bad one right now. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: Daisy, by the way, we had, was it yesterday's drink? [SPEAKER_03]: No, it was yesterday's drink with the Daisy. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, today was kind of a long day. [SPEAKER_08]: So I'm like, my God, was that yesterday already? [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: It's a weird day because of my other things.

[SPEAKER_08]: When you're living in a mob thugocracy, which really is kind of, I mean, that's where we're having a lot of this stuff. [SPEAKER_08]: in the second section today of the news on tap beginning part of it it's called tilting at windmills and it is it's really about tilting at windmills I yesterday we were talking a little bit about Lindsey Haligan with Bob SESCA right.

[SPEAKER_08]: And for those of you who don't even know what Lindsey Halligan looks like, uh, you can She's in your trip super pretty. [SPEAKER_08]: She's in the collage today. [SPEAKER_08]: I decided, you know, because you mentioned that she was pretty and she was off the same. [SPEAKER_08]: You know, pretty externally. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. [SPEAKER_08]: With no brains and clearly no integrity.

[SPEAKER_08]: that that's just never really that pretty to me you know if if you just look at her visually and not not know who she's working for i think she was a sports illustrative model she was she's like that kind of person maybe i if it takes a little bit yeah yeah it's hard for me it it's hard for me though to to look at somebody like that though and and know what they're doing and not know and and not not be [SPEAKER_08]: What's where I'm looking for? [SPEAKER_08]: Just a point, dad!

[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that's it. [SPEAKER_08]: That's it, definitely. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, no, I agree with you on that. [SPEAKER_03]: If you know, if you didn't know what she was going to do and what she's about to do and who she worked for, you'd be like, yeah, she's an attractive looking human. [SPEAKER_08]: I suppose. [SPEAKER_08]: I suppose. [SPEAKER_03]: You know. [SPEAKER_08]: So if for those of you who don't know, we have the stories there that are in the news on tap.

[SPEAKER_08]: So the newly appointed U.S. [SPEAKER_08]: attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, which is where I'm at, Lindsey Halligan is going to attempt to charge James Komi, despite prosecutors finding no probable cause. [SPEAKER_08]: In fact, the people that are in the DOJ office, the other, what's called line prosecutors.

[SPEAKER_08]: like Joyce remember Joyce was telling us about this here what a month-half ago or so the line the line prosecutors are generally people their career lawyers for the DOJ yeah um I would not be surprised if she actually does try and drop some charges on James Komi that if they quit on mass [SPEAKER_03]: Well, I mean, it's malicious prosecution. [SPEAKER_03]: There's just, that's all his lawyers have to do is say, hey, this is, hi, we've got the stupid DM that was supposed to be it.

[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, right, the DM from Trump that was supposed to be it was a social media post, but it was supposed to be private. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, whatever he did. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: Um, there, there was a good piece, uh, from Benjamin Wittison and a bower of law fair, um, talking that, uh, first of all, we got a piece in there from Mother Jones that basically describes how wildly unqualified Lindsey Halligan is.

[SPEAKER_08]: But then there was this piece from Wittison Bower, and it says that that, that Halligan's choices are really not good. [SPEAKER_08]: Um, she, she simply, realistically, she's only got a, a few choices. [SPEAKER_08]: All of them suck. [SPEAKER_08]: First of all, they nearly all involved trying to charge James Komi with some kind of BSL. [SPEAKER_08]: That claims in his September 30th, 2020 test in morning before the Senate judiciary committee.

[SPEAKER_08]: That's the one where people are putting up some clips and things like that. [SPEAKER_08]: He talked to Ted Cruz, whatever. [SPEAKER_08]: Five years ago, basically almost exactly five years. [SPEAKER_03]: That's why the statute runs out on Tuesday. [SPEAKER_08]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_08]: So the statute runs out on Tuesday. [SPEAKER_08]: And first of all, [SPEAKER_08]: But she's going to have to try to convince the other lawyers to allow her to charge them with it.

[SPEAKER_08]: Then she's going to have to try to convince a grand jury. [SPEAKER_08]: Colmy is such a boy scout in some ways. [SPEAKER_08]: The whole reason why we ended up having the issue with Hillary Clinton's emails and that whole thing being knocked down 11 days before the 2016 election.

[SPEAKER_08]: was because comi said there is no rule comi could have if they could have brought the computer from the new york fb i office whereby the way the person who is in charge of the computer conveniently happened to be working for a Russian oligarch also light tied into their house july on a new about it ahead of time yes so we you know all kinds of all kinds of nasty stuff there [SPEAKER_08]: But, beside that point, Komi had said, if something else comes up, I will publicly announce it.

[SPEAKER_08]: There is no rule in the DOJ. [SPEAKER_08]: There is no law. [SPEAKER_08]: He didn't have to. [SPEAKER_08]: He could have put it on pause and basically said, I don't know if that's true. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, we'll take a look at it and slow walk it until after the election.

[SPEAKER_08]: But because Komi is such a by the rules time to guide, [SPEAKER_08]: a number of the lawyer people that we know are very very much by the rules Glenn Kirsner especially mentioned uh well if we don't know jack but we do know who jacks we know uh him yes uh but um coney is very much by the books and because he said he said it publicly he came out did it that's why he did it

[SPEAKER_08]: Now, there was nothing there and, of course, right away, they were like, ah, these are all copies of emails that we already had. [SPEAKER_08]: It was, you know, risotto recipes and whatever the garbage it is. [SPEAKER_08]: But because he said it, but long and short, tell me, hasn't, and there's nothing that they've done. [SPEAKER_08]: This girl is saying young woman, Lindsey Halley and he's going to be the one who is also going to try and go after New York AG, the Tisha James.

[SPEAKER_03]: And remember, I look forward to Lindsay losing her license. [SPEAKER_08]: That's, well, yeah, that's just it. [SPEAKER_08]: If you bring forward cases like this that have absolutely no bounds, not only will, you know, can you have an office of people who are dedicated line prosecutors quit? [SPEAKER_08]: This is, this is their job.

[SPEAKER_08]: This is their field of endeavor and they're willing to quit to go, no, but also they're willing to quit because if they work on it and another judge sees it and says this is absolute BS, they can lose their licenses. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, and the thing is, with the DOJ in particular, they usually don't want to bring a case against someone that they know is a peel proof. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they have to be at least 90% sure that this will be held up on an appeal.

[SPEAKER_08]: They want to make sure that cases are in general, almost bulletproof. [SPEAKER_03]: Right. [SPEAKER_08]: In part because of the reputation of the G.O.J. [SPEAKER_08]: in the past, of course, now with the Trump regime, they don't care about the war. [SPEAKER_03]: And nobody and judges are no longer respecting these lawyers that are coming before them. [SPEAKER_06]: They shouldn't. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they're losing cases. [SPEAKER_03]: They're losing grand juries at this point.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they literally cannot indict a ham sandwich. [SPEAKER_08]: which that's always been the joke that you could indict a ham sandwich. [SPEAKER_03]: They couldn't indict the guy that threw the sandwich. [SPEAKER_03]: Hence, not being able to indict a ham sandwich. [SPEAKER_08]: Jodi is right. [SPEAKER_08]: Also, by the way, exactly what it says on her shirt right now. [SPEAKER_08]: Jodi is right, which you can get that shirt. [SPEAKER_03]: And the new design.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to put up this weekend and hopefully it'll be available next week from Michael who's a listener of Stephanie Miller. [SPEAKER_03]: So thank you, Michael. [SPEAKER_08]: Hey, Michael. [SPEAKER_08]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_08]: You have good taste. [SPEAKER_08]: You listen to Stephanie Miller. [SPEAKER_08]: You listen to Bob Saska. [SPEAKER_08]: You listen to the politics bar. [SPEAKER_08]: You have good taste and good design senses. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, absolutely.

[SPEAKER_08]: It's a great shirt. [SPEAKER_08]: So Michael, Michael is right. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that's just free boy. [SPEAKER_08]: Anyway, but back to the whole whole thing with James Komi that the fact is whether you like it or not, and I have my issues with Komi as well. [SPEAKER_08]: But he didn't do anything. [SPEAKER_03]: No, he did not not even close. [SPEAKER_08]: You know, who did do something to know, there are a whole lot of rats in this Trump regime.

[SPEAKER_08]: And borders are Tom [SPEAKER_08]: Remember he said that he'd recused himself and that oh, there was no aid that the $50,000 thing couldn't be because even though he didn't take the money, even though they have video and audio that he did, but even though he says he didn't take the money, he says it wouldn't matter anyway because he has recused himself from those detention contract talks. [SPEAKER_03]: No. [SPEAKER_03]: He's a liar.

[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Time to impeach him people. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: We got a piece from Bloomberg that he is in the news on tap under the criminals and rats section. [SPEAKER_08]: Tom Holman is still involved in the detention contract talks, despite claiming he's refused himself. [SPEAKER_08]: Which thankfully Senate House and Democrats, Senate and House Democrats are actually starting to do something. [SPEAKER_08]: I was really proud last night of a came Jeffries.

[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know if you guys saw this or not. [SPEAKER_08]: Did you see the post from a came Jeffries last night? [SPEAKER_08]: I did not. [SPEAKER_08]: So last night, I'm, you know, I'm thinking around, I'm looking for a few things whatever because, you know, it happens to be me. [SPEAKER_08]: And I, you know, whatever. [SPEAKER_08]: And King Jefferies saw Rustvot's plans, which we'll talk about a little bit later.

[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: And he came Jeffrey just post this simple thing across all his social media. [SPEAKER_08]: Here's the quote from a came quote. [SPEAKER_08]: Listen, Rust, you are a malignant political hack. [SPEAKER_08]: We will not be intimidated by your threat to engage in mass firings, get lost and quote. [SPEAKER_03]: I was like, yeah, because that's the threat right now. [SPEAKER_08]: Right, that's the thing with these boys.

[SPEAKER_08]: Bowles are just low-level terrorists. [SPEAKER_08]: And that's really what this whole administration is. [SPEAKER_08]: But for too long, House and Senate Democrats and Democrats at every level, and leaders of media, and leaders of business, and leaders of colleges and universities, have been, well, but they might do something to me. [SPEAKER_08]: So what, they might do all kinds of things. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, they might.

[SPEAKER_08]: And a ham sandwich tomorrow that they can't indict. [SPEAKER_08]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_08]: But you don't know. [SPEAKER_08]: And you got to stand up, too. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, House and Senate Democrats are now investigating the law firms who had agreed to work for the Trump administration. [SPEAKER_08]: Basically, had been blackballed into it. [SPEAKER_08]: They're investigating those for some legal issues.

[SPEAKER_08]: Good. [SPEAKER_08]: Um, and some of the rats are beating a band and ship, but does the name Taylor but which mean anything to you? [SPEAKER_03]: Sounds familiar. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, he was one of J.V. [SPEAKER_08]: Vance's friends and kind of hung around and did a lot of Tifa staff stuff. [SPEAKER_08]: Did some stuff with one of Trump's superpacks.

[SPEAKER_08]: He's one of the bigger names, but there's a piece that you can check out in the news on Tap from the Daily Beast that goes to a whole list of these people. [SPEAKER_08]: There are a lot of people leaving, which makes me think that some of the folks that are in Trump regime know stuff that the rest of us don't. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: And that makes me a little bit worried because of the other story in that criminal's and rat section. [SPEAKER_08]: Pete Kegreth.

[SPEAKER_08]: I may joke about him. [SPEAKER_08]: You may joke about him. [SPEAKER_08]: But he is the Secretary of Defense. [SPEAKER_08]: He's ordering a rare urgent meeting of hundreds of generals and generals. [SPEAKER_08]: This is not like the normal principles meeting. [SPEAKER_08]: This is a whole bunch. [SPEAKER_08]: And he's ordering it to happen before the shutdown next week. [SPEAKER_08]: And nobody knows the reason why. [SPEAKER_03]: that's ridiculous.

[SPEAKER_08]: I know I read that right and it's a person meeting so he's calling them from like all over the country to come to decency all over the world potentially right I don't know but I definitely am not what you gotta fire them I mean I don't know I don't know we that's you know when when you when you got that and you combine that with the the government shutdown rust fought and the ridiculous games that he's playing with that

[SPEAKER_08]: All of this makes me worry that there's something coming to a head. [SPEAKER_08]: And this is just speculation. [SPEAKER_08]: This is, it means, but look, as we say, informed commentaries what we do, you can look at the articles yourself. [SPEAKER_08]: They're there in the news on tap. [SPEAKER_08]: And given the fact that, you know, you can't trust Kegbreath any further, you can throw them across the street. [SPEAKER_08]: Right.

[SPEAKER_08]: And you can't trust anybody in this administration for anything. [SPEAKER_08]: It definitely makes me wonder if, you know, [SPEAKER_08]: something from the left corner of your eye of your left eye and the right corner of your right eye and they're moving towards the center of your vision. [SPEAKER_08]: You go, is there something connected to the dying of seeing yet? [SPEAKER_08]: There's something I'm missing.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because we're going to shut down what next Wednesday it looks like. [SPEAKER_08]: uh... yet two day in a Wednesday uh... at uh... midnight twelve o'clock one eastern time uh... that is when the government is scheduled to shut down if if congress doesn't get a c r through and it doesn't look like for whatever reason uh... it looks like Donald trump and tiny johnson they want to shut down for some reason [SPEAKER_08]: Right.

[SPEAKER_08]: That's why I'm going so you add these pieces. [SPEAKER_08]: Republicans are acting like they wanted shut down. [SPEAKER_06]: Uh-huh. [SPEAKER_08]: Kegbreath is doing something big with the military. [SPEAKER_08]: Um, Russ Vott, who is at OMB, is saying he's going to fire tens of thousands, which he cannot legally do. [SPEAKER_08]: And we will talk about that coming up here because that's just, you can't do that, Ross. [SPEAKER_08]: Sorry. [SPEAKER_08]: Suck it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Donald said he can. [SPEAKER_08]: Doesn't matter, the law says he can't. [SPEAKER_08]: What about? [SPEAKER_08]: We talked about it. [SPEAKER_03]: That's funny. [SPEAKER_03]: Because Donald just got the permission to fire the FTC person. [SPEAKER_03]: So that's funny. [SPEAKER_08]: Remember, the law is what the law is what all of us accepted to be. [SPEAKER_08]: True. [SPEAKER_08]: It's not just what he accepts it to be.

[SPEAKER_08]: And there are way more of us than there are of them. [SPEAKER_03]: But he's got that little Supreme Court that is just allowing him to do all sorts of things on their house. [SPEAKER_08]: They sit in their seats because we allowed them to sit in their seats. [SPEAKER_03]: If we should work on Wednesday next week, don't they? [SPEAKER_08]: If we decided to remove them from their seats, they would be removed. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm not suggesting violence because I don't want to.

[SPEAKER_03]: No, never. [SPEAKER_03]: But I'm saying. [SPEAKER_08]: If we got, if we got them to, and remember, you know, there are a lot of funny bedfellows right now going on politically. [SPEAKER_08]: There are a lot of stuff, especially like with the FCN stuff, where you're getting a lot of Republicans and a lot of Democrats finding a lot more common ground than they have in a long time. [SPEAKER_08]: True. [SPEAKER_08]: So the people who are like, oh, it's all over, it all sucks.

[SPEAKER_08]: It ain't over until it's over, and it ain't over. [SPEAKER_08]: That's the damn thing. [SPEAKER_03]: The lady has yet to start singing.

[SPEAKER_08]: Exactly, exactly, but she might be drinking so we will help her out with that drink of the day coming up next We'll talk about that particular author who had a penchant for alcohol and southern stories If you're subscribed, you know what's talking about it not fresh new drink up and come on back the drink of the day next on a Thursday night with Jody Hamilton and me Sean Smith peers here at the politics bar

[SPEAKER_08]: and of course we'll throw in the news on tap for free. [SPEAKER_08]: Check it out. [SPEAKER_08]: It's all there. [SPEAKER_08]: That's Paul. [SPEAKER_08]: Thanks, Clark. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, Jody. [SPEAKER_08]: We definitely have more from the news on tap today because there is a rush in a tack going on or maybe in a rush in a tack.

[SPEAKER_08]: you know I know I'm sorry it was really bad pun but you know it is rustvot and he is a complete jerk so you got to try and find make a way well we did have Russia flying over Alaska with drones yes that is actually in the news on tap today as well in the foreign affairs section no rad had to scramble u.s. [SPEAKER_08]: fighter jets to intercept Russian warplanes that were flying there Alaska

[SPEAKER_08]: food in his testing in all kinds of ways for the server sweeten the other day with a bunch of rounds i mean but remember like we said Donald Donald is now like hey you fly over NATO countries shoot them down at him so i'm like will still that well i'm glad we didn't shoot them down because that's a world war three three yeah i'm not exactly a fan of that either [SPEAKER_08]: Just the idea of that makes me want to drink. [SPEAKER_08]: It really does have a drink for you.

[SPEAKER_08]: You do. [SPEAKER_08]: Hey, what a deal. [SPEAKER_03]: What a day. [SPEAKER_03]: What a segue. [SPEAKER_08]: Almost like we're professional. [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you for playing non-socriter. [SPEAKER_08]: It is a good drink of the day. [SPEAKER_08]: If you're subscribed, you know what we're talking about. [SPEAKER_08]: The drink of the day is inspired by the birthday of yet another drunk and famous American writer William Falker.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, and like I said, my old boss knew him. [SPEAKER_03]: That's going to cool. [SPEAKER_03]: I think he called him Uncle Bill or something. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, like, you want that well. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, that's that's that's like you. [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, yes, it's Carol. [SPEAKER_08]: But you know, when I tell people sometimes, it's always fun is depending on depending on their knowledge of Hollywood and things like this and they're like, oh, you're doing a show.

[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, you got a cost. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I got a co-host who's a co-host, Jody Hamilton. [SPEAKER_08]: Jody Hamilton, why do I know that name? [SPEAKER_08]: Well, you may know, you know, famous TV producer from Hollywood, Joe Hamilton, and, you know, his wife, a great comedian, Carol Burnett, and you watch their face and then you can tell kind of at what how much knowledge they have of Hollywood and comedy and things as it goes. [SPEAKER_08]: And it really, really, really, really.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh no, it's funny, front of my years ago he was the singer in a band called Sugar Cult and great band. [SPEAKER_03]: And so Tim was over with the rest of his, two of his other bandmates, Aaron wasn't here. [SPEAKER_03]: And no, Ben wasn't here, Aaron was. [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, so they were all kind of hanging out with my roommates and me.

[SPEAKER_03]: We're all just kind of hanging out and I had up in my living room, pictures of my sisters and me with a bunch of famous people from my mom's show. [SPEAKER_03]: And he's like, how did you get a picture with the Jackson Five? [SPEAKER_03]: How did you get? [SPEAKER_03]: Because I see Carrie, who's that? [SPEAKER_03]: I said, well, that's my little sister and he's had to get a picture. [SPEAKER_03]: I said, oh, we were backstage at a TV show in the 70s.

[SPEAKER_03]: Now, his bandmates knew who my mom was. [SPEAKER_03]: Right. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay. [SPEAKER_04]: And he did. [SPEAKER_03]: And he did not. [SPEAKER_03]: Because it's ducked, you know. [SPEAKER_03]: And I've known him for like two years almost at that point, and because he'd never been here. [SPEAKER_03]: And so as he's leaving the house in my hallway, there's a bunch of pictures, and there's a particular picture of my parents together holding Emmys.

[SPEAKER_06]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: And he goes, [SPEAKER_03]: Why you have a picture of Carol Burnett? [SPEAKER_03]: And I said, well, that's my dad. [SPEAKER_03]: And he goes, well, why is your dad with her? [SPEAKER_03]: I said, well, they were married at the time. [SPEAKER_03]: And he goes, what? [SPEAKER_03]: And I point him up. [SPEAKER_03]: And there's a photograph of me. [SPEAKER_03]: And my sister's in my dad and my mom, when my baby sister was an infant.

[SPEAKER_03]: I said, [SPEAKER_03]: She's my mom. [SPEAKER_03]: He's my dad. [SPEAKER_03]: He goes, you never, everybody just starts laughing in a living room. [SPEAKER_03]: And I just thought that was so sweet because I loved him and it was very sweet. [SPEAKER_03]: And he's like, you never told me that. [SPEAKER_03]: I said, it's not usually the first thing out of my mouth with most people. [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: Exactly.

[SPEAKER_08]: You know, you don't, you don't necessarily say, hey, I know this famous person. [SPEAKER_08]: Whatever. [SPEAKER_08]: Like your boss. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm sure I'm sure it wasn't the first thing. [SPEAKER_08]: It was like, hey, you know, a great writer William Fogner. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, I know it. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no, and then another friend of, before we get to the drink, another friend of mine brought a friend of his to one of my birthday parties, and it was a big party.

[SPEAKER_03]: He's looking at all these photographs around the house, and the guy goes, what is with all the carabranette pictures? [SPEAKER_03]: And Jeff goes, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh. [SPEAKER_03]: She's a really big fan, don't say anything. [SPEAKER_03]: That's all he said, and I was like, that was the best answer. [SPEAKER_08]: Look, famous people are normal, too, to the people that are in their circle. [SPEAKER_08]: And to the people who are here in the bar, I mean, yes.

[SPEAKER_08]: A lot of people are like, Jody from, from Stephanie Miller. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, Jody for that. [SPEAKER_08]: But, you're also, you're just Jody to, you know, I mean, to the people who know you, I mean, to Blanie, your his wife. [SPEAKER_08]: To me, you're my friend, Jody. [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, so it's one of those people go, oh, okay.

[SPEAKER_08]: Y'all, you know, people are people, regardless, you know, it's, it's, look, like I'm sure, you know, Oprah and Steadman when they're hanging out at home, you know, you know, Steadman doesn't go, oh, Miss Oprah, what do you want? [SPEAKER_03]: I doubt that very much. [SPEAKER_08]: That ain't happening. [SPEAKER_08]: Nah, that ain't that bad folks. [SPEAKER_08]: Just, just say it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Just, no, she just says, and you get one Steadman and you get one Steadman, that's all she does. [SPEAKER_08]: I like that. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, so back to the drink of the day. [SPEAKER_08]: The drink is to celebrate William Faulkner, great American author. [SPEAKER_08]: And, um, uh, I'm not going to say it. [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, uh, uh, uh, a Nobel laureate. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, probably was. [SPEAKER_08]: He also was a Nobel laureate. [SPEAKER_08]: Like, because of Barack Obama.

[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_03]: But I'm like, [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, because Donnie doesn't have one. [SPEAKER_03]: That's it. [SPEAKER_08]: Anyway, so among other things, you may be familiar with some of Faulkner's work, you know, as Ali dying, the wild palms, he did a story called Absalom. [SPEAKER_08]: Absalom. [SPEAKER_08]: And that was basically one of the big reasons that he won the Nobel Prize for Literature. [SPEAKER_08]: Right.

[SPEAKER_08]: If you missed it, there's a little summary here that's in the drink of the day. [SPEAKER_08]: The novel is about three families in the South, the main character, Absalom, just like in the the biblical story, basically, I brought about his own demise. [SPEAKER_08]: So, which I do kind of wonder, because they do say these days, there is a tie between alcohol and heart disease.

[SPEAKER_08]: And Faulkner died of a heart attack at the, I mean, these days, you'd think of it as [SPEAKER_08]: Maybe, maybe he brought about his own demise that way, too. [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe, but what I found interesting about Absalom Absalom, it contains the longest sentence in the English literature at 1238 words. [SPEAKER_04]: Damn. [SPEAKER_03]: The Guinness Book of World Records has it that way, so I find that quite interesting and now I want to read the book.

[SPEAKER_08]: You can make yourself a cocktail and a ham sandwich and time to read that directly unless you're speed reading it like me, but look, I'll be fine. [SPEAKER_08]: I'll read it in normal pace and give you a chance to make me ham sandwich and and a drink, guys. [SPEAKER_08]: That's exactly what you do. [SPEAKER_08]: Make a ham sandwich for Jody. [SPEAKER_08]: Make a ham sandwich for me and anyway, they're just a sandwich for me. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't need ham.

[SPEAKER_08]: They're not listening. [SPEAKER_08]: They're over here in the bar. [SPEAKER_08]: They're like, whatever. [SPEAKER_08]: Whatever it looks. [SPEAKER_08]: So what is in the drink of the day? [SPEAKER_08]: Which is the Absalom's retreats? [SPEAKER_08]: I believe. [SPEAKER_08]: That's exactly what it's called. [SPEAKER_08]: Yes. [SPEAKER_08]: So in the Absalom's retreat, two celebrate William Faulkner, what is in this particular drink?

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: You need a mixing glass or a shaker. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: A pre-chilled Nicken Norah glass or a coupe glass if you don't have a Nicken Norah one. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay. [SPEAKER_06]: Mmm, good stuff. [SPEAKER_03]: One ounce of yellow, sharp, trusely cure. [SPEAKER_03]: It's got a little honey and anise kind of flavors. [SPEAKER_03]: It's very, it's a nice, it's a nice, it's a nice, little cure. [SPEAKER_03]: A quarter ounce of honey syrup.

[SPEAKER_03]: Would you can make yourself equal parts honey and hot water mixed together to make the syrup? [SPEAKER_03]: One dash of angostura bitters. [SPEAKER_08]: Look at that, joting nails. [SPEAKER_08]: It's, you know. [SPEAKER_03]: Finally, just like you finally got Jacobas. [SPEAKER_03]: So. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, and Stephanie pronounced her name wrong this morning as well. [SPEAKER_08]: I heard that I heard that I laughed, I laughed.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so what you're going to do with all of this, you're going to add all of your ingredients to either the mixing glass or the shaker, add ice and stir it to chill it, so it's not a shaking thing and you just stir it. [SPEAKER_03]: And then you strain it into your Nicanorra cook glass that's already pre-chilled. [SPEAKER_03]: And so it sounds yummy, actually. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: Sounds great.

[SPEAKER_08]: Just remember, do not bring about your own demise, drink in moderation. [SPEAKER_03]: Please, please, please, please, and don't drink and drive ever. [SPEAKER_08]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_08]: Never drink and drive, but you can, what you can do is you can subscribe to the drink of the day at the politicsbar.com and then you'll have to worry about it. [SPEAKER_08]: You can drive home and then you can check out the recipes later. [SPEAKER_03]: There you go.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's what you do that. [SPEAKER_08]: See, look at this. [SPEAKER_08]: We're helping you out. [SPEAKER_08]: We're helping you keep your head on straight. [SPEAKER_08]: For those of you who work for the government, by the way, um, we're trying to, we're going to try to help you keep your head on straight as well. [SPEAKER_08]: So, well, the shutdown fight is going on. [SPEAKER_08]: And here's the thing.

[SPEAKER_08]: So, um, Russ Voss, Russ Voss sent out this letter from OMB to all these departments saying they need to plan for mass firings. [SPEAKER_08]: That's not how it works. [SPEAKER_08]: I specifically reached out to Rebecca Buckwell Opposa who we had in last week. [SPEAKER_08]: She's going to be in tomorrow, actually, like we said. [SPEAKER_08]: She's got that good piece of electricity section. [SPEAKER_08]: She is pretty, and she's pretty smart. [SPEAKER_08]: And she's pretty fun.

[SPEAKER_08]: And we're going to talk with her about this particular thing, too. [SPEAKER_08]: But the long and short of this is, with the government shutdown, there are lots of, there are multiple federal rules and regulations, including the Civil Service Reform Act, the CSRA.

[SPEAKER_08]: It states that a temporary funding lapse, which is what we're going through, which is what we will go through in the government shuts down, a temporary funding lapse does not give any administration the legal authority to mass fire federal employees. [SPEAKER_08]: What's more, there was ruling on September 12th, what two weeks ago? [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, just two weeks ago yesterday. [SPEAKER_08]: I think, well, yeah, just about.

[SPEAKER_08]: So federal judge William Alsep on September 12th said that OPM does not have the Office of Personnel and Management, they do not have the power to mass fire employees and neither they or OMB, which is where Russ Vaud is, the Office of Management and Budget, basically the guy with the checkbook [SPEAKER_08]: Neither OPM or OMB can direct other departments to mass fire employees.

[SPEAKER_08]: Employees, if they're going to be fired, they must be fired for cause, and they must be fired from their own individual departments. [SPEAKER_08]: You cannot instigate a mass firing for no cause, and especially because, well, we didn't decide to fund the government.

[SPEAKER_08]: So, look, if you guys are looking for the exact rules, if you're already, you're working with your unions and you're looking for it, the tip is the civil service regulations are entitled five of the US code. [SPEAKER_08]: So, I would start there. [SPEAKER_08]: I would also start with the ruling from Judge William Alsep. [SPEAKER_08]: We have some of the links that happen to be in the news on tap.

[SPEAKER_08]: There's a really good piece from the CBPP that talks about the layoffs earlier this year, or that they tried to do and basically have been gone back [SPEAKER_08]: But long and short, this is this is it's not only bad for the workers, it's bad politically for Republicans.

[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, well, yeah, I mean, come on, yeah, and here's some of the things, some of the Republicans are even saying, why haven't you been doing what Jeffries and Schumer have been doing, which is, [SPEAKER_08]: whether or not Jeffries and Schumer were dealing honestly. [SPEAKER_08]: Some of these Republicans don't think they were, but they said they at least were putting the window dressing up to look like they were trying to keep the government going.

[SPEAKER_08]: Why are we doing nothing? [SPEAKER_08]: Because you can't have it. [SPEAKER_08]: The public will look at it and say, who was trying to keep the government open? [SPEAKER_08]: Who was working? [SPEAKER_08]: Who was willing? [SPEAKER_08]: Who was at the table? [SPEAKER_03]: Who wanted to talk to Donald about it and then Donald ran away? [SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm, exactly. [SPEAKER_08]: So yeah, it's pretty simple as to who was trying to do the work.

[SPEAKER_08]: Even if you don't necessarily agree with it That's what people look at as who was willing to come to the table. [SPEAKER_08]: Democrats have been willing to come to the table For two months now. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean let's go back to March with Schumer agreeing to see are technically. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, all year, but you know what yeah This is

[SPEAKER_08]: hang on your hats folks yeah going to be some more more chaos we we'll talk about that a little bit more tomorrow when Rebecca's here in the bar we have more news on tap to talk about as well john fiegel sang is coming in before he does his event tonight at the 92nd Street why in New York City with Kristella alonzo we'll talk to him about that and about his book separation of church and hate whoo it is a busy Thursday I'm on a weekend coming up joody can come up it's just one more day shan and then you got a weekend

[SPEAKER_01]: It's political Thinking, radical Think it's far away But you are the politics Sponsored Shotsmith, Pearson, Shoney, Hamilton Jonesey Jonesey [SPEAKER_08]: we find different ways to do that because we like to keep you guys on your toes here at the politics park.

[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you by the way if you are listening in the future on the podcast You can get it on your favorite podcast player like on your phone or you can get it at the politics bar dot com Yeah, so we talked about the James Colombe thing earlier nothing is gonna be settled on that as soon because that is just gonna be Absolutely ridiculous. [SPEAKER_03]: She's gonna get it to the grand jury before Tuesday Yeah, there there's no [SPEAKER_08]: there is no legitimate way.

[SPEAKER_08]: I am, I am not concerned about that at all, but obviously I'm concerned about the rule of law because, I mean, and I think we all have been concerned about the rule of law. [SPEAKER_08]: We've been concerned about the rule of law and facts. [SPEAKER_08]: We put it right there in the news on tap that it is Trump's mob thugocracy and it is. [SPEAKER_08]: And a thugocracy does not operate [SPEAKER_08]: And that's that's that's kind of what Trump wants except that anyone he's getting.

[SPEAKER_08]: Which I'm kind of glad about that because God he's an idiot, but look, you should read the news on tap. [SPEAKER_08]: It is free to subscribe to that as well at the politicsbar.com. [SPEAKER_08]: Speaking of idiots, did you hear some of the ridiculous comments that J.V. [SPEAKER_08]: Vance made about the shooting at the ice facility in Texas? [SPEAKER_03]: I just. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, first off, we don't know anything. [SPEAKER_03]: Still.

[SPEAKER_03]: We know a little bit more than we did 24 hours ago, but we don't know the whole like stuff written on the bullet bullets. [SPEAKER_03]: That just looks like they did it themselves like he or and if he did do it then it was ironic and he was trying to do something. [SPEAKER_08]: We don't we don't know we do not know. [SPEAKER_08]: There's a story that we didn't have room to fit in today.

[SPEAKER_08]: There's a congressman in Texas who just came out right and said, you know, I don't and he's from Dallas, I believe. [SPEAKER_03]: What? [SPEAKER_03]: Somebody did poke, point this out the other day. [SPEAKER_03]: This is interesting with all the mass shootings we've had over so many years. [SPEAKER_03]: This is the first time people are engraving on bullets. [SPEAKER_08]: Not really. [SPEAKER_08]: It's first time I've heard about it.

[SPEAKER_08]: It's happened before, but it's not usually something that is... [SPEAKER_08]: This is one of those things that makes you wonder, I mean, because it isn't engraving. [SPEAKER_08]: No, a lot of times when they're calling it engraving, it's not, it's just writing it. [SPEAKER_03]: Because you don't want to engrave, there's gunpowder in there. [SPEAKER_03]: You don't want light. [SPEAKER_08]: No, no, not even that.

[SPEAKER_08]: You would do it before you put that in there, but if you would engrave it, it changes the way that the bullet actually works through the end. [SPEAKER_08]: Right. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, so there's a whole lot of reasons why you don't engrave bullets.

[SPEAKER_08]: like the printing that's on a bullet like when they first said that all there was printing on the bullet that that killed Charlie the grand stuff yeah yeah it was t r n and it was stamped on the end of the bullet which is where they stamp it so that he doesn't change the trajectory of the bullet god oh yeah because if you do it on the the casing itself it's going to twist differently [SPEAKER_08]: Jody is right. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's my lawn order. [SPEAKER_03]: Tigre.

[SPEAKER_08]: But this is one of the reasons why I think it's important for people to learn about guns, even if you don't like guns. [SPEAKER_08]: It's important to learn about cars, even if you don't like gas automobiles or electric automobiles. [SPEAKER_08]: It's important to learn about a whole lot of things so that when somebody tries to get over on you and they tell you absolute bull crap that you are able to go, hey, wait. [SPEAKER_08]: That's bull crap.

[SPEAKER_03]: That happened to me when I used to read motorcycles. [SPEAKER_03]: OK. [SPEAKER_03]: I went to go get air filter oil, which is not the easiest thing coming off of your tongue. [SPEAKER_03]: Air filter oil. [SPEAKER_03]: So I went to this shop and I couldn't find what I was looking for because I needed to fix the air filter and you need oil for that. [SPEAKER_03]: And this guy sees a girl walking. [SPEAKER_03]: And that misogyny.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so I said, hi, where's your air fuel oil? [SPEAKER_03]: And he goes, what are you talking about? [SPEAKER_03]: That's the one that's singing. [SPEAKER_03]: The guy behind the counter goes, yeah, it is, and it's over there. [SPEAKER_03]: She knows that she's talking about. [SPEAKER_03]: What kind of bike did you have? [SPEAKER_03]: I had a Harley. [SPEAKER_03]: Nice. [SPEAKER_03]: I had a sports star.

[SPEAKER_08]: Wow. [SPEAKER_08]: Damn. [SPEAKER_08]: I have ridden other people's bikes. [SPEAKER_08]: I've never actually owned one myself, but I've ridden plenty of other people's bikes. [SPEAKER_08]: And they're fun. [SPEAKER_03]: And it was lovely. [SPEAKER_03]: And I did sell it. [SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't even running. [SPEAKER_03]: And I sold it to a guy that looked like Santa. [SPEAKER_03]: Um. [SPEAKER_03]: And it wasn't even any. [SPEAKER_03]: And he took, I sold it for like four grand.

[SPEAKER_03]: And it wasn't even running. [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like, you're going to fix it up to tell it for a 10 grand, but that's OK. [SPEAKER_08]: That's look if if that's if that's your particular skill and that's too long. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no, I know that he made it just a he I know He custom did I just know he did Yeah, I'm sure because he's like no, it's fine. [SPEAKER_03]: It's fine. [SPEAKER_03]: It's fine And he just towed it away and I'm like, bye.

[SPEAKER_08]: I think you for the $4,000 Everybody has their own talents. [SPEAKER_08]: This is one of the reasons why some people I know are good with guns One of my older older friends that I've known for a long time Sean is a nump up in in Minnesota in northern Minnesota [SPEAKER_08]: You're right with guns. [SPEAKER_08]: So if I have a gun question, I can just be like, you know, text him or dial him and be like, yo, he's like, what?

[SPEAKER_08]: I tell me issue and he's like, yes, or no. [SPEAKER_08]: So yeah, this this this signing it's it's not that big here, but here's the bigger thing. [SPEAKER_08]: So Vance was rushing to exploit this shooting at this this ice facility and blaming the Democrats for violence. [SPEAKER_03]: were right injured, let alone anything else. [SPEAKER_08]: Joe, have you heard any Democrats or centers or lefties, anybody anti Trump calling for violence against ice agents?

[SPEAKER_08]: No. [SPEAKER_08]: I have an either. [SPEAKER_08]: No. [SPEAKER_08]: Even Karen from Chicago who will be here tomorrow. [SPEAKER_08]: She doesn't like the ice agents, but she doesn't want violence against them. [SPEAKER_08]: She just wants them to go away. [SPEAKER_08]: And she's got the monthly crew version thing, you know? [SPEAKER_08]: She just wants them to go away.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: But the other thing which is hilarious that they're saying, oh, he wrote anti-ice. [SPEAKER_03]: If you're going to be against ice, you don't say anti. [SPEAKER_03]: You say F ice. [SPEAKER_08]: The long and short two, we've got a piece that is in the news on tap.

[SPEAKER_08]: This one happens to be from Ken Clip and Stein, some people like them, some people don't, but the piece that there was a piece on NBCNews.com that you could tell they basically cribbed from Clip and Stein. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, they did. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, they did. [SPEAKER_08]: You saw that too? [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I was like, I was like, come on guys, give credit to the people who do stuff originally, please, you know?

[SPEAKER_03]: That's why you've credit to the Drunker's Almanac. [SPEAKER_08]: look and and and uh... you know how many how many times uh... uh... are are are wonderful for an alice and gill at militia rotes who does also eighteen other shows um... she's she's also a journalist she's done other things and and and yet there are a lot of people who will not give her credit and you should definitely give her credit for a lot always yes she's amazing

[SPEAKER_08]: But in this case, Ken Clip and Sine had this piece, and we have it in the news on Tafri guys today, basically the bio on the Texas shooter is this. [SPEAKER_08]: He was another perpetually online white guy. [SPEAKER_08]: He was vaguely libertarian. [SPEAKER_08]: He pretty much despised both major parties and he hated Trump and hated government in general. [SPEAKER_08]: Right. [SPEAKER_08]: was the analyst.

[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, very much very much a Nile is to somebody who if you guys have forgotten is depending on the type of Nile is because there are types of Nile, but basically they don't like a respect anything that's going on now and they want to screw things up.

[SPEAKER_08]: And one of the comments that they found, I guess, in some of the paperwork was something like, you know, [SPEAKER_08]: He purposely screwed things up on his own digital trail with his identity, knowing that he was going to F with people's heads, knowing that the left is going to say, gun nut, and the right is going to say, liberal, and he's like, I'm neither one of you.

[SPEAKER_08]: And yet, J.V. [SPEAKER_08]: Vance, fresh off the couch in whatever way you decide to think about that. [SPEAKER_08]: We're not thinking about that, too. [SPEAKER_08]: Don't think about that. [SPEAKER_08]: But J.V. [SPEAKER_08]: decides to rush out there and exploit the shooting. [SPEAKER_08]: Orange, you learn what else? [SPEAKER_03]: So did no. [SPEAKER_03]: So did a bunch of people. [SPEAKER_08]: And no one didn't at first, and then she did. [SPEAKER_08]: So she backtracked.

[SPEAKER_08]: But obviously somebody, one of the Trumpers is probably like, why aren't you jumping on this? [SPEAKER_08]: This government is a bunch of mobsters and thugs and morons, and we're all aware of it. [SPEAKER_08]: But at the same time, they're incompetent as hell. [SPEAKER_08]: That's why we call that half-ashism for a long time, because they're just freaking stupid. [SPEAKER_08]: They do not know what the hell they're doing.

[SPEAKER_08]: And they don't care, and that is, I think, one of the bigger things that bothers me is they don't really seem to care. [SPEAKER_08]: but I think the balls are closing in on them. [SPEAKER_08]: You can check out another section that is in the news on tap the Trump Epstein cover up section today. [SPEAKER_08]: So top Trump White House allies and Republicans in Congress are working behind the scenes to prevent the Epstein vote.

[SPEAKER_08]: But we've got a little clip up there and interview with a representative elect at a leading or halva one in Arizona on Tuesday. [SPEAKER_08]: Good for her. [SPEAKER_08]: She's she's already said as soon as she gets sworn in. [SPEAKER_08]: She's [SPEAKER_08]: Now, they're gonna have to go through a whole bunch of stuff to get through the petition to get the F-steen files released. [SPEAKER_08]: But I don't think they're going to stop it.

[SPEAKER_08]: I don't think they're going to be able to stop it. [SPEAKER_03]: I'd, Marjorie, Taylor Greene, Lauren Bubbert, and what's Nancy Mays. [SPEAKER_03]: Nancy Mays, they're not going to say no. [SPEAKER_03]: They're, they're, because they can't parent out. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: This is one of the things that they can't paint on. [SPEAKER_08]: They said if you reelect us, we will go back to Congress and we will make sure that everyone sees the Epstein files.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: So they're not going back on the word, good for them. [SPEAKER_08]: No. [SPEAKER_08]: And, you know, look, we understand. [SPEAKER_08]: They're all performative in many ways. [SPEAKER_08]: They all do a lot of performative politics. [SPEAKER_08]: But on this particular thing, we've given them credit. [SPEAKER_08]: And we will continue to give them credit. [SPEAKER_08]: So long as they continue to stand with the victims.

[SPEAKER_08]: And say, sorry, but the victims want justice. [SPEAKER_08]: They do. [SPEAKER_08]: At least some measure of accountability. [SPEAKER_08]: And that's exactly what we're going to give them. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: So the biggest thing too, it seems like the more that we get closer to this, the more that it seems to be a push that it's not necessarily hiding stuff about Trump, but it's hiding stuff about people that Trump knows. [SPEAKER_03]: I agree with that.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's both. [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's a combo played of both. [SPEAKER_08]: I think so too. [SPEAKER_08]: I it's definitely something that we will have to ask John. [SPEAKER_08]: I know John Figuels saying, oh, hey, hey, there is. [SPEAKER_08]: We're just talking about you here. [SPEAKER_08]: We're not we're not too far from the end of the this is the first segment of this hour. [SPEAKER_08]: And we're like we're talking about the Epstein files.

[SPEAKER_08]: And we're thinking that the Democrats will get through Adelaide Grajalva got elected in Tuesday, in Arizona. [SPEAKER_08]: She said when she sworn in, [SPEAKER_08]: hopefully October early October that that'll be one of the first things she'll do and she'll get it through. [SPEAKER_08]: But the comments that are coming out are it seems to be it's maybe not necessarily so bad directly for Trump, but it's a lot of the people that Trump knew in that circle.

[SPEAKER_08]: There could be some stuff and I'm sure a lot of his donors. [SPEAKER_07]: pressure's on the Democrats to do it. [SPEAKER_03]: Yep. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, Democrats. [SPEAKER_08]: Obviously, I'm later, go all those Democrats. [SPEAKER_08]: She's going to do it. [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, there's no questions. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: That's the signature they need. [SPEAKER_03]: That's it. [SPEAKER_07]: And again, when these idiots say, well, I didn't Joe Biden do it.

[SPEAKER_07]: Ready, Joe, but because it's a criminal case and the guy died with recilled himself or not. [SPEAKER_07]: It's a criminal case, Biden didn't spend two years promising mouth-breathing racist drooling on the clicker. [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_07]: He would release the file, so Biden broke zero promises. [SPEAKER_07]: Donald Trump told you neckbeards that he would release the files, and now he has been protecting pedophiles, and that's why we need to warn you about Tylenol.

[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_07]: You are never going to hear them talk about Thailand all again, by the way. [SPEAKER_07]: That was just that day's programming. [SPEAKER_07]: There's not going to be a reboot of that one. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, man. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: We were definitely. [SPEAKER_08]: We're going to have to talk about that. [SPEAKER_08]: We're also going to talk about your event, which look at this.

[SPEAKER_08]: You are slumming with us here, ducking into the bar before you go over to the 92nd Street Y. Have your event with Kristella Alonzo, which everybody can watch. [SPEAKER_08]: We'll talk about that as well. [SPEAKER_08]: And of course, about your book, separation of church and hate, which I've gotten through a little bit more. [SPEAKER_08]: It's been a busy newsweek.

[SPEAKER_08]: I haven't gotten as much time to read as I wanted, but [SPEAKER_08]: It's a good book, everybody should get a copy of it. [SPEAKER_08]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_08]: Ah, we are very thankful to talk with you and hang out with you before you go do your other events. [SPEAKER_08]: Look, everybody. [SPEAKER_08]: John Fuebosags in the bar for the next couple of segments. [SPEAKER_08]: Get your drink, topped up, dude, you got to do, you know what we say?

[SPEAKER_08]: Look, we aim to please. [SPEAKER_08]: You aim to please. [SPEAKER_08]: I don't want to clean that up later, all right? [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: John Fuebosags back in a bit, that's Paul Fuebosags bar. [SPEAKER_02]: We'll be right back after we pay some bills at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_08]: Thursday night here at the politics bar, you know what that means? [SPEAKER_08]: It's Thursdays with thugle-fang.

[SPEAKER_08]: I know, it's a horrible joke, horrible joke, but it is John Peagull saying, and he is here at the bar on Thursday nights, and he's here before he goes to a much better gig, with a much total air quality of people, over the night, Saturday night, Saturday night, with Krestella Alonzo talking about his new New York Times best-selling book, [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, separation of church and hate. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, by the way, John, you were on the daily show.

[SPEAKER_08]: In case people missed it because maybe they were watching Jimmy Kimmel. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I heard that happen. [SPEAKER_07]: It was the same night, right? [SPEAKER_07]: Didn't hear much about the Kimmel thing, but yeah.

[SPEAKER_08]: look if you if you guys haven't seen it here in the bar you absolutely should go you can find it on john's social you can find it on youtube go and watch it is absolutely it's a great interview and uh i'm you know honestly i'm i'm very glad that your book is doing so well john i'm i wanted to do even better but you know don't don't don't we can't help you out because you're fun so grateful you guys i mean i i was writing this book for 15 years and for many many years i was told by

[SPEAKER_07]: multiple agents and publishers that there was no audience for a book for believers and atheists about how to push back against right-wing Christianity. [SPEAKER_07]: Like, I was told so many times, my last agent was like, can you just write your parents' love story please? [SPEAKER_07]: I can sell that. [SPEAKER_07]: I'm like, no, I want to write a book about politics that, you know, people can buy his gifts and that you'll see an airport.

[SPEAKER_07]: I want to, I want to, I want to. [SPEAKER_07]: Why am I being a talk radio host if I'm not writing a book about politics? [SPEAKER_07]: For God's sake. [SPEAKER_03]: And it is in the airport.

[SPEAKER_07]: really one garden had a picture of her book and your book was right there no that you believe it my was down there surrounding an Elon Musk book but honestly I mean I'm so beside myself with gratitude because I mean I went through three agents on this I was I submitted my first proposal for this book in the summer of 2010 [SPEAKER_07]: Now 15 years later, we've just made the time special or list and I'm sure your dad is very proud.

[SPEAKER_07]: Number 8 on Amazon, so yeah, well my dad's already proud because of my break dancing. [SPEAKER_07]: Well, there's that. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, the book as well, but that's the whole other that's spout. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: Honestly, your your folks are proud. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm sure your brother is too, and you know, it's one of those where, you know, look, everybody. [SPEAKER_07]: I'm sure he is, I'm sure he is.

[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: Everybody loves John because, you know, look, this book is good. [SPEAKER_08]: And it has been interesting watching some of the reactions on social when people are like, hey, wait. [SPEAKER_08]: Especially, especially some of the atheists who are like, [SPEAKER_08]: Wait, it's it's not a Jesus book, but it is.

[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, the best thing has been how many eight theus brothers and sisters have really had really and Jewish brothers and sisters have had really kind things to say about this as well. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, yeah, it's been a really gratifying because I think the only thing that's going to, you know, save us is [SPEAKER_07]: Well, there's a lot of things that'll save us, but we have to take away their armor, this false Christianity.

[SPEAKER_07]: And to me, it's like, their whole thing is divide and conquer, they don't care about Jesus, they don't care about religious freedom, they don't care about the devil, they don't care about the Bible, they care about power. [SPEAKER_07]: They don't, they want conservative Christian control of society. [SPEAKER_07]: That is their actual religion, they don't give a damn about what's in the Bible that they did, they wouldn't go with Donald Trump, they want power.

[SPEAKER_07]: So it's going to take atheists and believers of all faiths, banding together to beat back the bad, crazy Christians. [SPEAKER_07]: Because that's what it's always taken, the whole history of resistance, the whole history of Christian activism has usually been resisting Christian authoritarianism.

[SPEAKER_07]: And they want to divide us, but it's like, [SPEAKER_07]: You know, atheists, if you're fighting a Christian nationalist on any issue, I bet Jesus is on your side whether he's real or you believe in him or not So it really is a guide. [SPEAKER_07]: This is not literature It's very dopey.

[SPEAKER_07]: It's got way too many penis jokes, and it's all about how the right wing is against Jesus Absolutely every issue that divides us [SPEAKER_08]: one of our wonderful listeners decided to text us something to the bar line which you guys could do that if you wanted to text us as well you know the number two one three six seven seven seventy two fifty eight but they texted a a comic.

[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, they say show this to John, which I don't have an easy way to show it to you, but so it's guy in the first panel, it's got this guy pulling and he's labeled it says Jesus teaching and the second panel that has a guy right next to the guy says Jesus teaching the guy that has his shirt, it says atheists and they're both pulling in the same direction.

[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: And then the third panel, it has pulling the other direction, Christian nationalists and capitalism pulling the other direction and then in the fourth panel, the guy with the [SPEAKER_07]: I mean, I'm like, you know, some of the best Christians I've ever known have been atheists and some of the most godless anti-Christ heathens I've ever known have been very loud, pious believers.

[SPEAKER_07]: So, you know, I mean, it's like, you don't need to believe in the teachings of Jesus to recognize [SPEAKER_07]: the revolutionary ethic of his teachings and to acknowledge that this guy who was not about control, who was not about power, his whole mission was servant leadership, exalt the least of us, take care of those lower than you, will count for the marginalized, modern Christianity's the opposite.

[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, Jesus is standing up for the prostitute in the Leopard and the Samaritan, the despised foreign minority, everyone was allowed to hate. [SPEAKER_07]: And here's [SPEAKER_07]: Trump Christianity, and it's all about crapping on the marginalized, the immigrant, the trans soldier that wants to fight for this country, poor people would know health care. [SPEAKER_07]: I mean, that's their whole stick is punching down, and it's one rule in comedy and Christianity.

[SPEAKER_07]: Don't punch down. [SPEAKER_07]: It's hack. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: Amen. [SPEAKER_08]: Amen. [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_03]: Right. [SPEAKER_08]: John Fuegel saying is right. [SPEAKER_08]: One of the other things too though is that it takes it takes everybody to fight a mob. [SPEAKER_08]: And that's not a bit what we've been talking about today because this is clearly this. [SPEAKER_08]: This is a mob thugocracy that Trump is running.

[SPEAKER_08]: Did you see what Russ over at OMB wants to do that he's threatening to do? [SPEAKER_08]: Even though it is absolutely totally way as fun. [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, wow. [SPEAKER_07]: I'm sure it's something really real that wasn't just done for a headline to get the place. [SPEAKER_07]: What is it? [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_08]: He actually wants to do it. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, he does. [SPEAKER_08]: Russ bought sent out this letter from OMB.

[SPEAKER_08]: They are planning to illegally execute mass firing plans during the coming government shutdown. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, that's right. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, love firing. [SPEAKER_07]: They love Americans losing their jobs. [SPEAKER_07]: They get off on Americans, whether it's federal employees, whether it's the Kimmel staff. [SPEAKER_07]: My god, these Americans, nobody hates Americans. [SPEAKER_07]: More than the Americans who brag about how American they are.

[SPEAKER_07]: Have you noticed this? [SPEAKER_07]: You'll light they take. [SPEAKER_07]: They're throwing 12 million poor disabled people off health insurance, talk about, make America healthy again. [SPEAKER_07]: These people hate America. [SPEAKER_07]: They hate the real America. [SPEAKER_07]: They're in love with their imaginary Caucasian, Jesus America, that never existed. [SPEAKER_07]: The actual America? [SPEAKER_07]: It's those stinking woke liberals, fighting for those people.

[SPEAKER_08]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_08]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_08]: It's just, it's absolutely amazing, although I speculated something with Jody earlier, and I'm curious to hear your take on this, too, because I am. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, I am not as here on fire as some folks. [SPEAKER_08]: I have to admit that some things do worry me. [SPEAKER_08]: Russ Vought saying he's going to fire tens of thousands of government employees.

[SPEAKER_07]: There's going to hurt a lot more people before this thing collapses. [SPEAKER_06]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_07]: This whole thing ends with the last scene of Scarface. [SPEAKER_07]: I mean, it's not going to end well. [SPEAKER_07]: When Rogan, when Tucker are already putting distance there, it's not going to end well. [SPEAKER_07]: They know the tariffs are causing prices to rise in every sector. [SPEAKER_07]: They know it seems not going away.

[SPEAKER_07]: they're already starting to distance themselves from Trump's stank. [SPEAKER_07]: Well, that's right. [SPEAKER_07]: We try all he wants, but I mean ABC showed us how to punch a bully in the face this week. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, Jimmy Kimmel did and I'm very glad. [SPEAKER_07]: No ABC did too. [SPEAKER_07]: I got to say I do because last week I said I was sure he'd come back.

[SPEAKER_07]: I predicted that that anger would spend all weekend negotiating with next start to try to work something out. [SPEAKER_07]: Clearly they didn't come to an agreement, so they just gave the finger to [SPEAKER_07]: They gave the finger to next star and yeah, Kimmel and the team get a lot of credit, but you know, it was scary by Friday Like I'm like holy crap like like Michael Eisner is gonna be the moral.

[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah But I said I convinced that Bob Iger doesn't want to have censorship and the first paragraph of his obituary [SPEAKER_07]: And again, St. [SPEAKER_07]: Clair is evil. [SPEAKER_07]: These people are even, they push this false gospel. [SPEAKER_07]: They're the ones who have all their robotic news anchors, reading the same script in units, and it's completely creepy and controlling in the authoritarian. [SPEAKER_07]: They fight for nothing Jesus talked about.

[SPEAKER_07]: They just want white conservative Christian power. [SPEAKER_07]: And that's what this is about and the networks, the creators like Disney are bullied by I'm not saying that works can be able to their bully by these people and these affiliate characters these guys who have all these markets they're saying we're not going to carry them. [SPEAKER_07]: ABC just came back and said great. [SPEAKER_07]: You can't have Monday night football either. [SPEAKER_06]: There he is.

[SPEAKER_07]: Monday night football is giving these people the finger. [SPEAKER_07]: That's standing up, not just the Trump, but the Trump infrastructure because we have to punch the bullies back. [SPEAKER_07]: Jimmy Kimmel said absolutely nothing wrong. [SPEAKER_03]: He did. [SPEAKER_07]: He did. [SPEAKER_07]: Two things and a set up to a joke about Donald Trump's countless disregard for Charlie Kirk.

[SPEAKER_07]: He said the magazine spent all weekend trying to prove this kid wasn't one of theirs. [SPEAKER_07]: true, not a true right true right. [SPEAKER_07]: And it magazines all we can try to blame everybody else true, not a joke and Brendan Carr was so desperately thirsty to have a bloody scalp he could wave because these are all childish dude bros whose brains are being rotted by the same algorithm who think winning is when you just can own the lips.

[SPEAKER_07]: He had to attack Kimmel before Kimmel actually said anything wrong. [SPEAKER_07]: And maybe he's lawyers at the easiest time when ABC announced this [SPEAKER_07]: They never said, they didn't say any falsehoods. [SPEAKER_07]: They didn't say Jimmy said anything wrong. [SPEAKER_07]: He didn't apologize, none of that. [SPEAKER_07]: Because he said nothing wrong. [SPEAKER_07]: They're the gang that can't smear straight. [SPEAKER_07]: They're so stupid.

[SPEAKER_07]: They couldn't wait for a real reason to try to take them down. [SPEAKER_07]: Instead, they do this coercive self-sensorship that is an abusive power. [SPEAKER_07]: The left, I mean, the right spends day saying, oh, Trump didn't censor as a private corporation. [SPEAKER_07]: That's right. [SPEAKER_07]: And then man, baby has no filter because no impulse control, man, baby tweets out.

[SPEAKER_07]: I tried to get him fired, I thought he was fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't get fired, I can't

[SPEAKER_07]: Models had a punch these guys back. [SPEAKER_07]: I'm sorry man. [SPEAKER_07]: I'm praising Monday night. [SPEAKER_07]: No, no, look. [SPEAKER_08]: There's nothing wrong with it. [SPEAKER_08]: We speculated.

[SPEAKER_08]: We speculated here earlier in the week Look, you know and you I mean, you know as as not only a radio host for serious XM, but also as a comedian who keeps himself up on all the news You're well aware that like for example the Atlanta Journal Constitution is gonna stop printing newspapers They're not the only one.

[SPEAKER_08]: New Orleans their newspaper stopped printing here a number of years ago [SPEAKER_08]: a lot of the bigger cities are really actually starting to look at that. [SPEAKER_08]: You even got your New York Times, you've got your Wall Street Journal going, eh, I don't know about printing anymore.

[SPEAKER_08]: This is this is the equipment though on the the network to local affiliate thing, because while next era and and same pair, think they're the big dogs, [SPEAKER_08]: It's only 23 percent of all of them. [SPEAKER_08]: And with that 23 percent, Kim will still got 6.26 million people watching him live and 26 million watching him. [SPEAKER_08]: They are in the YouTube and social media. [SPEAKER_07]: Powerful media organizations of the 20th century walking among us.

[SPEAKER_07]: And that's what it is. [SPEAKER_07]: I mean, yeah, Kim will only get 12 percent with the demo, right? [SPEAKER_07]: But that's because young people are watching the next day online. [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_07]: And that's where the big numbers come through. [SPEAKER_07]: And the fact that he's still doing, you know, whatever is million and night, with predominantly over 50, I mean, that's just who watches now. [SPEAKER_07]: And that's right.

[SPEAKER_07]: There's always going to be late night TV. [SPEAKER_07]: It'll share us to leave all of the budgets that get smaller, no doubt. [SPEAKER_07]: I think David Letterman's late night NBC show should be a new model of how to do something really punk rock and creative and funny, zero budget. [SPEAKER_07]: But these guys, man, you're so right.

[SPEAKER_07]: It's all about streaming and that's the way the future and these guys are just [SPEAKER_08]: There's going to be some point at which the network itself says, you know what?

[SPEAKER_08]: I don't need the trouble from these jackasses It's in clear in that star and next on it's in clear their whole model is based on taking the programming that they get from [SPEAKER_08]: ABC, the big network or whatever network they have for their affiliates, shoving in in the little holes in there, their local television news, and then selling ads. [SPEAKER_08]: And if the big networks says, you know what, I'm going to take my Monday night football and my bachelor and my bad.

[SPEAKER_03]: My crazy anatomy and my habit element elementary and high potential, let alone the bachelor and the bachelor written all that. [SPEAKER_07]: Who is watching the TV? [SPEAKER_07]: It's the old people. [SPEAKER_07]: And again, man, at Sinclair, they're, look, these are the guys that got me fired from pay 60V, you know, and you can probably guess why they did it.

[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, so, you know, and I knew it would happen, and I knew they were the reason, because I told the truth about Donald Trump on an entertainment show, and I made it funny, and that can happen. [SPEAKER_07]: You can't handle humor, man. [SPEAKER_07]: That's something new. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: I know they had me fired, and I know their day is coming, and it's going to be fun. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, yeah.

[SPEAKER_07]: But you know, they're not taking all of it. [SPEAKER_07]: They're not taking it all away, but they are taking, you know, they're saying we're not going to air Kimmelin. [SPEAKER_07]: So they're not getting money and I football. [SPEAKER_07]: I don't know what the rest of the deal is that ABC is still going to get there. [SPEAKER_07]: ABC. [SPEAKER_07]: Well, but they sabotage all of their sitcoms and all that like there. [SPEAKER_08]: No, but it's some at some at some point.

[SPEAKER_07]: I was working out a deal. [SPEAKER_07]: There's negotiations going on. [SPEAKER_07]: Of course. [SPEAKER_08]: At some point, if sincler continues to be a stick in the mud, at some point, ABC Disney. [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know who I was going to have chair is going to go. [SPEAKER_08]: You know what, we don't need your 23%.

[SPEAKER_08]: We're going to take this and take this money from the other streaming affiliates and do some direct streaming thing and do some original stuff here and you know what F you know. [SPEAKER_03]: They can also go. [SPEAKER_03]: No, they can also go. [SPEAKER_03]: They can also go. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're right, they can also go to another local station that's not a same clear station and go, hey, do you want our programming? [SPEAKER_07]: Yes, I'd love to see it happen.

[SPEAKER_07]: I'd love to see it happen. [SPEAKER_07]: Just to see a corporation like Disney, which we know, you know, look, every other day, right, Ron to Santa's have me on their side and then, you know, like, oh, it was you know, but like to see a corporation like Disney put their money where their mouth is on this, it's so inspiring. [SPEAKER_07]: I know everyone's talking about [SPEAKER_07]: you know, actually doing the right thing like Harvard actually doing the right thing.

[SPEAKER_07]: There are examples of that there is resistance happening right now because people know there's stuff in our fridge that will last longer than Donald Trump. [SPEAKER_08]: That's the thing. [SPEAKER_08]: We talked about this earlier, you know, we got to give, we criticized when it's due, but we also should give Kudos too. [SPEAKER_08]: And I am very much, I'm worth y'all then. [SPEAKER_08]: John Fuegel saying is right, ABC did pretty good, not just Kimmel. [SPEAKER_06]: They did so.

[SPEAKER_08]: John, oh, can we have you for one more round for you? [SPEAKER_08]: You can go have fun with that. [SPEAKER_07]: I saw a little officer makes me do this. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, that's what we love that person. [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, we do, we do, and you know, tell them thank you. [SPEAKER_08]: We are, by the way, we'll talk a little bit more about some of those people, the rats leaving the ship. [SPEAKER_08]: We've got more other news on Tap, we want to talk with you about as well.

[SPEAKER_08]: It's John Fugosang here on a Thursday night here at the politics bar with Jody Hamilton and me, Sean Smith Pierce. [SPEAKER_08]: Do you think that a new fresh and happy drink? [SPEAKER_08]: Come on back for last call. [SPEAKER_08]: Hang on. [SPEAKER_02]: We'll be right back after we pay some bills at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_08]: Last call here at the politics bar on a Thursday night you got you Jody who's dancing you got you John Fever saying and you got your me Sean Smith here.

[SPEAKER_08]: See everybody loves to dance in this music. [SPEAKER_03]: Thank Lonnie again please. [SPEAKER_03]: Well he's in the in the the death trap right now. [SPEAKER_03]: So. [SPEAKER_08]: He's driving in his car having some fun, and if you are driving in your car in having fun, we're glad you're listening on all of our favorite radio stations, but if you were in the car and you missed something, best thing you could do is subscribe to the politics bar.

[SPEAKER_08]: When you stop, don't do it while you're driving. [SPEAKER_08]: Go to your podcast later later, get on your phone, type in the politics bar, bam, it's free, it's easy, or hey, if you subscribe to the politics bar.com, you get the podcast, add free, check it out at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_07]: And don't take Tylenol when you're pregnant, ladies, for God's sake. [SPEAKER_07]: That's a bet. [SPEAKER_07]: You women deserve that pain, don't it?

[SPEAKER_08]: John, did you see that Dr. Oz the very next day basically came out and was like, yeah, yeah, no, no, no, no, it's it's fine. [SPEAKER_07]: He's a moderation. [SPEAKER_07]: See that footage, Dr. Oz, look as embarrassed as I did when I had to interview Dr. Oz on page 16. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, you know, like the only person in that room who actually has any medical expertise whatsoever, which is why they didn't let him talk. [SPEAKER_07]: Right.

[SPEAKER_07]: I like what RFK talks, because then you can hear him breathing. [SPEAKER_07]: And I like to hear about good health from a guy who sounds like Darth Vader's sleep apnea machine. [SPEAKER_07]: You know, and again, what a party. [SPEAKER_07]: It's only good to go from a millionaire at birth president who can't pronounce nuclear, to get a millionaire at birth president who can't pronounce or see the benefit. [SPEAKER_07]: You guys are doing great.

[SPEAKER_07]: It's ready for Kid Rock Republicans. [SPEAKER_07]: It's ready for him to take the throne. [SPEAKER_08]: I just, the hits just keep on coming and their, their stuff that the mainstream is missing.

[SPEAKER_08]: This is one of the reasons why I am more and more proud to be part of independent media, to be supporting independent media, like a lot of our friends, like you on your show on Series XM and your sub-stack, like our friend, you know, Stephanie Miller and Bob Sasca, and because, [SPEAKER_08]: one of the stories. [SPEAKER_08]: So this one happens to be I believe it is from the daily beast.

[SPEAKER_08]: You were saying that to a lot of the rats are beginning to jump ship and it's no joke. [SPEAKER_08]: Taylor Brutowitch, former I believe chief of staff to VP Vance and he was also at the Trump Super PAC he's leaving. [SPEAKER_08]: There's a bunch of people now. [SPEAKER_07]: What a loss for our democracy. [SPEAKER_03]: I know. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm so sad. [SPEAKER_08]: So I think I think they're getting while the getting is good.

[SPEAKER_08]: I think there are enough of them that are leaving the White House and leaving the Trump orbit that they're going. [SPEAKER_08]: You know what? [SPEAKER_07]: Every single one of these people finds racist lies about Haitian eating pets acceptable. [SPEAKER_07]: Every one of these people finds beating cops on the Capitol steps for a lie and then pardoning those people, including Camposch would stewed acceptable. [SPEAKER_07]: I hope they never work again.

[SPEAKER_08]: Sam. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: I would love, I would love to see that, but the fact of them. [SPEAKER_07]: I hope they have to go, I hope they have to plead and have to go fund me. [SPEAKER_07]: So liberals can have mercy on them and include them in a social safety net. [SPEAKER_08]: I'd love to put it that way. [SPEAKER_08]: God, all these people now.

[SPEAKER_07]: When their conservative friends bail on them and they lose everything, who's the only people left to take care of them when they're desolate. [SPEAKER_07]: Those annoying, woke, liberals fighting for a stronger safety net for the poor.

[SPEAKER_07]: for everybody yeah exactly yeah you know it's almost like we're I don't know doing kind of the jesus e christiany thing i mean some of some of us are not in a religious sense but you know it also just makes good sense i mean the first two years of joe biden's presidency are a model in teaching that caring for the poor helps everyone else

[SPEAKER_07]: helping the people struggling the most of the bottom of the economy spends the money up your stimulating a you give money to rich guys will Rogers call this out a hundred years ago rich man will go invest it give it to poor guy he'll spend it that guy will spend it then she'll spend it it'll go through 40 hands before it ends up in the rich guys hands at the end of the day and 40 people who will have eaten using that dollar it just may it's just good economics caring for the poor is good Christianity and good capitalism you know a living wage workforce

[SPEAKER_07]: It's good capitalism. [SPEAKER_08]: Not only what Biden and the Biden Harris administration in the Democrats did in those first two years, but also this week has been a an object lesson in what the right wing media will do about it because sure enough.

[SPEAKER_07]: So we all know the the child tax credit came up poverty got reduced by we have the lowest rate of childhood poverty in the history of the country because we chose to do it because we're capable of reaching that if we want to. [SPEAKER_08]: Right, and yet on right wing media this week, they noticed there was a new study that came out that said poverty went up under the Biden administration more than it ever had.

[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, because the child tax credit, which was only a temporary thing that we was only temporary because of stupid mansion, but because the child tax credit expired and we couldn't get back as a stupid man. [SPEAKER_07]: That's what stupid mansion in the entire godless Republican party that hates Christianity. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, John's right again.

[SPEAKER_08]: Yes, but yeah, that's looks so it expired and now the Republicans are the right There's a whole bunch of articles come out this week. [SPEAKER_08]: They would suit suit Child poverty one up and I'm like dude, what do you want? [SPEAKER_07]: Do you want to do? [SPEAKER_07]: Do you want to feed children school lunch or do you want to have an ultimate fighting explosion on the White House lawn for the boy? [SPEAKER_07]: I mean, there's probably already spiscally here, sir.

[SPEAKER_07]: I forgot about that God mosque needed that tax cut more than those kids need that insulin. [SPEAKER_07]: What is wrong with you? [SPEAKER_07]: Why do you hate growth? [SPEAKER_08]: You mark Marxist groomer where it's I've been thought I just I was it yeah I just it when I what I saw that it absolutely it made me boil at first and then I realized That's exactly why these right wing propaganda shops are putting that out is because they want us to get pissed about it.

[SPEAKER_08]: And then they want us to do their job and take this all around and show everybody and then because of people will just read the headline. [SPEAKER_07]: They won't see reason Donald Trump did that stupid ridiculous cosplay flag burning bill, which did nothing and changed no laws, but he wanted, you know, first amendment types to go like flags on fire to protest him. [SPEAKER_04]: Right. [SPEAKER_07]: So that news max. [SPEAKER_07]: I remember when you saw it and you could run it.

[SPEAKER_07]: I mean like literally like they're just throwing this stuff at the wall as distraction. [SPEAKER_07]: My flags are still a party for child rape. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, they're fine. [SPEAKER_07]: But for a Confederate flag that's better really upset her that'll that'll embrace them I would absolutely love that. [SPEAKER_08]: I'll go buy one burn it.

[SPEAKER_08]: I'm also going to be laughing my ass off when this whole stuff with Jim Komi who I'm not 100 you know I'm not the yeah [SPEAKER_08]: I know exactly that's yeah, but but the same time I mean come on they're putting this in the hands of this sports illustrated model basically who never tried a case in a life doesn't matter billable hours man They don't care about winning you have to understand that [SPEAKER_07]: They're all selfish.

[SPEAKER_07]: There's a cult of selfishness, Trump's lawyers only care about Bill of Blowers. [SPEAKER_07]: They'll bleed this old man. [SPEAKER_07]: Trump has made what? [SPEAKER_07]: Five billion off of his crypto scam this year, because Democrats and Republicans don't believe in the immolianist clause anymore. [SPEAKER_07]: So Donald Trump doesn't do these lawsuits to win. [SPEAKER_07]: He doesn't the bankrupt people.

[SPEAKER_07]: He wants Latisha James and James coming to bleed money paying for lawyers because he can like the money on fire and do it. [SPEAKER_07]: It's why we don't have equal justice in the system. [SPEAKER_07]: It's why a fine [SPEAKER_07]: It's not a penalty for a rich guy, but it can ruin a life of a poor person. [SPEAKER_07]: I mean, like he's literally showing us how big money corrupts justice itself because he can do that. [SPEAKER_07]: He can bankrupt people.

[SPEAKER_07]: He doesn't like in the courts with frivolous lawsuits that will cost innocent people a lot of money before they are always inevitably dismissed. [SPEAKER_07]: That's why Rupert Murdock laughed it off. [SPEAKER_07]: Right. [SPEAKER_07]: Rupert Murdock's also rich. [SPEAKER_07]: Rupert Murdock posts the birthday card. [SPEAKER_07]: Trump sues him 22 billion one day later. [SPEAKER_07]: Murdoch puts out, oh, Pan-Bondi told Trump about the Epstein files back in May that he's in them.

[SPEAKER_07]: Like, right, they don't care, and they know that his lawsuits mean nothing, but they can hurt non-millionaires quite a bit. [SPEAKER_08]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_08]: And for anybody who's doubting the that, Alyssa Farre Griffin over on the view, literally yesterday confirmed that. [SPEAKER_08]: She said, all this, this, the lawsuits, all the threats of lawsuits, all of that. [SPEAKER_08]: because obviously remember she used to work there.

[SPEAKER_08]: She worked for him during the first regime. [SPEAKER_08]: She was like, no, no, no, no. [SPEAKER_08]: She says all they are is threats to try to scare and intimidate people. [SPEAKER_08]: Just like a mobster, just like I just tried to, you know, and exactly right, that's whole little bit of situation where it tracksuits. [SPEAKER_07]: But again, we would call me like, Trump doesn't care. [SPEAKER_07]: Trump doesn't need probable cause. [SPEAKER_07]: He doesn't need possible cause.

[SPEAKER_07]: All he needs is a grudge and money and a lawyer willing to humiliate themselves and that's all he Prosecutors literally wrote her a memo saying there's no crime here. [SPEAKER_07]: Don't do this and she's like, hey got it. [SPEAKER_07]: So we're indicting him right? [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, and it's not that they're going to lose her law license. [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, he's going to lose her. [SPEAKER_07]: She won't. [SPEAKER_07]: Well, it will pan bondy.

[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, Bill Barr still hasn't. [SPEAKER_07]: Nobody with the Iraq War lost their law license. [SPEAKER_07]: You know, who lost her law license? [SPEAKER_07]: Bill Clinton. [SPEAKER_07]: He got disbarred. [SPEAKER_07]: Nobody who, or troops in the war in Iraq got disbarred once. [SPEAKER_07]: So I'm really waiting to see what happens with Pammy on this one. [SPEAKER_07]: But I mean, again, they're, they're, they look stupid, but they're not.

[SPEAKER_07]: This lawyer, she, she knows that it's not a real case. [SPEAKER_07]: She knows it's harassment. [SPEAKER_07]: She knows it's billable hours. [SPEAKER_07]: Trump knows that lawsuits will go nowhere. [SPEAKER_07]: He doesn't care. [SPEAKER_07]: He's trying to hurt people. [SPEAKER_07]: He gets off on hurting Americans. [SPEAKER_07]: Guy with 34 felony convictions trying to throw Jim Colmy in jail. [SPEAKER_07]: It's like OJ Simpson is prosecuting people for traffic violations.

[SPEAKER_03]: Didn't the cheese just lose his license, though?

[SPEAKER_08]: Oh yeah, cheese bro, yeah, yeah, now he he's a I think I saw that you said that to be Jody that cheese bro cannot price about practice in I believe DC and I think Virginia now I think he's I don't know here because he has a license here too in California right You want that into the bar too, but yeah, the cheese is definitely slipped off the cracker for him too But the government's running out of money Governments running out of money and Trump's priority is James Colmy

[SPEAKER_07]: like it's like your your house is on fire and instead of calling 911 you call calm cast yell about your Wi-Fi it's like people and by the way most people don't care about Jimmy Kimmel most people care about health care most people care about the fact that we're a society that's a reality show called food medicine rent picked to like like this is you know we care about this is news nerds but as these prices go up it's going to be a lot harder

[SPEAKER_07]: to make these ignorant Caucasians go along with this fascism and that's exactly how it ended for Bush and Cheney. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, I mean, we almost have $6 gallons of gas in LA right now. [SPEAKER_03]: We're this close to that. [SPEAKER_07]: Joe Biden's gonna pay. [SPEAKER_07]: Joe Biden's gonna pay. [SPEAKER_03]: That's obvious. [SPEAKER_07]: I'm very glad we had all those wars in the Middle East to keep gas prices low for us.

[SPEAKER_08]: I am very glad though that Democrats some of them are at least beginning to stand up. [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, Detective, can you please post something? [SPEAKER_07]: How exciting. [SPEAKER_08]: For once it actually was. [SPEAKER_08]: So Rusty, Rusty, we were mentioning, you know, threatening it too. [SPEAKER_07]: That was it, was it a bold, bold posting that he did? [SPEAKER_07]: It was a brave, he said, posting on social media.

[SPEAKER_08]: He said, listen, Rust, you are a malignant political hack. [SPEAKER_08]: We were all intimidated by your threat to engagement. [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, we're all getting on social media. [SPEAKER_07]: That's great. [SPEAKER_07]: Wow, that's fantastic. [SPEAKER_07]: That's so much better than that. [SPEAKER_07]: This is so much better than that. [SPEAKER_07]: So glad they're fighting back and hitting sends. [SPEAKER_07]: That's awesome. [SPEAKER_07]: That's what I need.

[SPEAKER_07]: My confidence is restored. [SPEAKER_08]: Hey, we can't get rid of them now. [SPEAKER_08]: We can get rid of some of the weak Democrats. [SPEAKER_07]: I don't want to get rid of them. [SPEAKER_07]: I don't want to get rid of them. [SPEAKER_07]: There's it. [SPEAKER_07]: Nature's going to take care of that. [SPEAKER_07]: The reality is the Democrats that want to play nice and just do talk. [SPEAKER_07]: The voters are going to decide.

[SPEAKER_07]: It's the Democrats who are promising promising that you will see hands on Bibles come January of 2027. [SPEAKER_07]: The Democrats who are willing to [SPEAKER_07]: Like I said last week on your show, Bonnie Watson Coleman, 80 years old, getting shoved. [SPEAKER_07]: Senator Dean, California, getting handcuffed. [SPEAKER_07]: The Democrats who are willing to get messy, put their bodies in the movement.

[SPEAKER_07]: And the Democrats who are willing to say there will be accountability. [SPEAKER_07]: They're going to lead in the fundraising. [SPEAKER_07]: It doesn't matter what issues you're fighting for. [SPEAKER_08]: That's what I was going to do. [SPEAKER_07]: Paul, this would be about accountability. [SPEAKER_08]: You know, you're speaking of that, catabacaselo. [SPEAKER_08]: We've had her on the show here. [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know if you've had her yet on your show, but she's afraid.

[SPEAKER_07]: I love her. [SPEAKER_07]: She's going for a for Janshikowski seat, right? [SPEAKER_08]: Yes. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_08]: And she literally this past week, just like, you know, our friend Karen from Chicago. [SPEAKER_08]: She was out there physically, you know, bodies and the ice masters and body. [SPEAKER_07]: I love Janshikowski by the way. [SPEAKER_07]: Like, I'm a little nervous about ageism related based campaigns, but she's fantastic.

[SPEAKER_07]: And, you know, it's going to go the way it goes, man. [SPEAKER_07]: It's going [SPEAKER_08]: But at the same time, I don't think she casky is, you know, she's like, that's fine. [SPEAKER_08]: And I think there are a lot more Democrats who are saying, look, if you want it, go for it. [SPEAKER_08]: Stand up for it. [SPEAKER_08]: Fight for it. [SPEAKER_08]: Fight. [SPEAKER_08]: And that's the thing is, I don't want to fight or make changes.

[SPEAKER_07]: I don't mean the cats, the person's not on King Jeffries either is just, I really don't the Democrats have a firm plan going into this because if there is a shutdown, there will be billions of dollars spent. [SPEAKER_07]: to make sure voters blame that on the Democrats next year. [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, you are correct. [SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_08]: Once again, John Feele's saying is right.

[SPEAKER_08]: He is also on his way to the 90s and three-wide, where he is doing a great event with Costella Alonzo featuring his book Separation of Church and Hate, which if you do not have it, you absolutely should get it. [SPEAKER_08]: John, go have fun. [SPEAKER_08]: Tell Costella she can come to them. [SPEAKER_08]: Are any darn time? [SPEAKER_08]: Because, you know, we always... We like smart people. [SPEAKER_07]: Costella's not really speaking to me offstage, but I'll see what I can do.

[SPEAKER_08]: Go and have fun and we'll see you here next week. [SPEAKER_07]: Peace, thank you all so much for having me. [SPEAKER_07]: Thanks, dear. [SPEAKER_07]: I'm very attractive audience. [SPEAKER_07]: We drive. [SPEAKER_08]: We aim to please. [SPEAKER_08]: In fact, tomorrow we've got a couple of great guests and three guests actually. [SPEAKER_08]: Great women. [SPEAKER_08]: We've got, uh, back to our proposal. [SPEAKER_08]: We've got Karen and Anita from True Blue politics.

[SPEAKER_08]: And of course, Jody and I'll be here. [SPEAKER_08]: You guys should be here too. [SPEAKER_08]: Come on back tomorrow. [SPEAKER_08]: To the politics bar.
