[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for letting us go! [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you for letting us go! [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you for letting us go! [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you for letting us go! [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for letting us go! [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you for letting us go! [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you for letting us go! [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for letting us go! [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you for letting us go! [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you for letting us go! [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for letting us go!
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for letting us go! [SPEAKER_08]: I know, you're a little bit tired. [SPEAKER_08]: We are, we are getting ready for that holiday break coming up Memorial Day break, which it took a good thing. [SPEAKER_08]: We will have some fresh stuff, we will have some best of stuff, and we will also get some sleep. [SPEAKER_02]: What's that? [SPEAKER_08]: Look, I love sleep. [SPEAKER_08]: I do too. [SPEAKER_08]: You know, I don't get it as much as I'd like to.
[SPEAKER_08]: So. [SPEAKER_08]: Um, well, thank you by the way, uh, for everybody that is coming into us from every place in the globe, wherever you're coming in, listening on the radio on great stations, like WCPTA, M820, Chicago, or maybe you're listening in the Atlanta area on Georgia now, radio.
[SPEAKER_08]: Maybe you're up in Minneapolis, and Paul listening on AM950 or Dan and Tennessee, listening to the D2 or talk, or somewhere else on the planet, listening up progressive voices radio worldwide. [SPEAKER_08]: Thank you very much.

[SPEAKER_08]: By the way, Jody, today happens to be the birthday of two people that, well, you know them better than I do. [SPEAKER_08]: Mindy, it's her birthday today and it shares birthday. [SPEAKER_08]: So. [SPEAKER_02]: I know Mindy better than share. [SPEAKER_08]: Whoever she told me to call her share, she said that I had to call her share. [SPEAKER_08]: She said, I do not do not maim her, so I do not. [SPEAKER_08]: I respect her by just calling her share because you know.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I've met her over the years, but I don't really know her. [SPEAKER_08]: But I don't really either, but I'm just saying, we kind of, I mean, it's nice, you know. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I ran into it to chas years ago at an event that she was at that my mom was at. [SPEAKER_02]: And I was still smoking. [SPEAKER_08]: Yep, I already told him. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and so I went up to him and I said, your famous, they won't make you put out a cigarette.
[SPEAKER_08]: But that's, look, there is, there is some, some rules you can kind of break and bend like that a little bit, but the corruption that is coming out from the Trump regime, oh man, and, and look.
[SPEAKER_08]: that there are some democrats that i saw who were bombed because of the elections last night which i thought give me a break yeah i know they're like oh those those first of all it's the way the media was covering the media was focusing on a lot of the republican races right because the question is is it going to be you know a trump magnet or is it going to be you know someone like the more seen yeah exactly yeah principal that's a that's a great way to put it um and clearly obviously um
[SPEAKER_08]: The Trump maggots that they're the ones, I mean, God, they have such a freaking problem about this. [SPEAKER_08]: Who was it? [SPEAKER_08]: I think it was was an axle rod. [SPEAKER_08]: I think I heard him say that. [SPEAKER_08]: I gave an axle rod. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he said, look, they're just screwing themselves at those point. [SPEAKER_08]: They are because, and I heard multiple other people to who was it?
[SPEAKER_08]: I saw, uh, Pelloramos say this too, uh, that they are getting a growing share of a smaller and smaller group. [SPEAKER_08]: It's like trying to be the world's best buggy whip company when there are 10 buggy whip companies and everybody is moving to automobiles. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm sure there is, at least one company out there that still makes buggy whips or some buggy whip kind of thing. [SPEAKER_08]: But back in the day, there were a bunch of them.
[SPEAKER_08]: And at the point in which everybody decided to go, yeah, no, we're going to these automobiles things. [SPEAKER_08]: The market share shrank. [SPEAKER_08]: So great, you get the largest market share of the super shrinking market, which is what the Republican party is doing by picking these these, you know, I'll do whatever Donald Trump says. [SPEAKER_08]: He tells me to go up to the fifth floor of the garage and jump off. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, my God, I'm gonna do that.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, you don't, that's kind of a losers thing. [SPEAKER_08]: any who uh... speaking which uh... in the news on tap today uh... looking at it uh... by the way bob sesco be in he's not a loser he is a winner and two stores he's got two stores today we'll talk about that little bit later but in the election uh... section there the first round the war of democracy in the election turns for losers uh... seven term house rep Thomas massey did lose his primary last night and uh...
[SPEAKER_08]: He was not sad about were you surprised that he wasn't to I expected it I think he was looking at the pole. [SPEAKER_02]: I think he expected it. [SPEAKER_02]: It's unfortunate because as much as I disagree with him and I do at least he somebody that you can have a conversation with who doesn't like pedophiles, doesn't like unnecessary wars, right. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, things like that, I can disagree with him on policy to
[SPEAKER_08]: look we have a lot of people that we disagree with on policy many of whom are new did you see the bill crystal i have a credit party which i'm like they don't welcome the one you you can hop on the bus i don't i saw that i was like what yeah you i'm not saying that we're going to let bill crystal drive reenavigate but he hop on the bus to sanity i mean obviously he's he's smart enough to go yeah the republican party is
[SPEAKER_02]: It's dead, that just revive the wigs or something. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, figure out a new thing. [SPEAKER_08]: Michael, please, leave the Republican party. [SPEAKER_08]: It is dead. [SPEAKER_08]: It is not coming back later. [SPEAKER_02]: Public and party of your day. [SPEAKER_08]: It's not, it's not even a report. [SPEAKER_08]: It's the, it's the maga party now. [SPEAKER_08]: It's the Trump party. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, the tea party was bad enough, but this is worse.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: So this was Maxi's response though, and I found this oddly refreshing last night. [SPEAKER_08]: So this was his, what would normally be called a concession speech? [SPEAKER_08]: I don't think he was conceding anything here. [SPEAKER_06]: Today is the six-month anniversary of the Epstein Falls Transparency Act. [SPEAKER_06]: We've taken out two dozen CEOs, an ambassador, a prince, a prime minister, a minister of culture, and that was just six months.
[SPEAKER_06]: I got seven months left in Congress. [SPEAKER_02]: Read the names on the floor. [SPEAKER_08]: Yep. [SPEAKER_08]: He ain't going nowhere. [SPEAKER_08]: I want I agree, Jody. [SPEAKER_02]: He should read the names on the floor last day in office, like the day before they go on their Christmas break. [SPEAKER_02]: Just, oh, you do it. [SPEAKER_08]: Or whenever it would be the most inconvenient, like maybe for the election.
[SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I was like an October surprise from Tom Massey. [SPEAKER_08]: But he's clearly, he's going to burn it all down now. [SPEAKER_08]: And there are others in the Republican Party, too, who are like, they may not change to be Democrats, but they are certainly not going to bow and scrape and do anything, everything that's done. [SPEAKER_02]: Senator Cassidy. [SPEAKER_08]: We've seen some of that from till us, right?
[SPEAKER_08]: Cassidy voting, Cassidy voted with the Democrats to push the War Powers Act through congratulations on that. [SPEAKER_08]: We got that there in the news on Tap today as well. [SPEAKER_08]: And Democrats are still pushing. [SPEAKER_08]: That's the thing, Democrats are making this some Democrats, I should say, not all of them. [SPEAKER_08]: We need a lot more Democrats to step up and fight and do the right things.
[SPEAKER_08]: I told you, I was, you know, I like Spamberg for some things. [SPEAKER_08]: I was mattered until we talked to Glenn last night, and then I'm like, yeah, I can kind of see where, you know, and I can see your position a little bit better, too. [SPEAKER_08]: So I appreciate it going coming in.
[SPEAKER_08]: But then last night, Span Berter and the fight to vote section, she is signing an order and an executive order to basically help Virginia localities in the state to deal with the possibility of federal agents being posted to polling places. [SPEAKER_08]: She's like, nope, not happening. [SPEAKER_08]: Remember when I said, when we were talking about that, and I said, Governor, should do that? [SPEAKER_08]: So if you're listening to Abigail, thank you. [SPEAKER_08]: We appreciate it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I mean, it's just it's smart because especially if you're to swing state, I don't think California is going to be that targeted except for where they think immigrants might be voting which they don't. [SPEAKER_08]: True. [SPEAKER_02]: They don't. [SPEAKER_02]: But I know that the mayor is going to take care of that on on the governor will as well to make sure that everybody can vote. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, most of us do vote by mail here. [SPEAKER_02]: It's it's just good.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's good prep. [SPEAKER_08]: It's. [SPEAKER_08]: You know, like a lot of the storms have been rolling through the Midwest and we've got a big bunch coming through here a little bit later today out in the DC corner. [SPEAKER_08]: We could use some rain. [SPEAKER_08]: If I could send it across the country to you, I would, but, um, but it's that the fact is that if you know you're going to have bats, arms you prepared for these kinds of things.
[SPEAKER_08]: If you know that there's a chance that the federal government is going to be stupid and try to steal the elections, like Donald Trump is going to try to do, then you prep like Abigail Spanberger is doing. [SPEAKER_08]: So we've got the piece by the way, it's in the news on tap on that, but back to the election returns. [SPEAKER_08]: So Massey delivered his warning, Brad Raff and Spurger lost his primary for Georgia. [SPEAKER_08]: That was expected.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yep, that was totally expected. [SPEAKER_08]: He was not, he was not going to win. [SPEAKER_08]: The former lieutenant governor there, Jeff Duncan, he did not win either, and that's fine. [SPEAKER_08]: I said, you know, I'm glad at least that he moved towards, towards the left towards the center, and that's great. [SPEAKER_08]: And now he definitely looks at Democratic and independent voters different than he did when he was a Republican lieutenant governor, which is great.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's kind of the idea. [SPEAKER_08]: there's a piece that we've got there from political. [SPEAKER_08]: It's at the bottom of the first section elections election returns for losers. [SPEAKER_08]: We tied a little bit differently. [SPEAKER_08]: We tied a little bit Trump completed his political revenge door. [SPEAKER_08]: His Republican allies think the cost of his actions will be brutal.
[SPEAKER_08]: And the reason you retidal it, I mean if you look at the piece, you click through and you read the piece. [SPEAKER_08]: These Republicans are, they're being honest, except anonymous to journalists. [SPEAKER_08]: Of course, you know, we're right. [SPEAKER_08]: There's a quote in here from one of them, quote, we're not actually beating Democrats and we're not actually advancing legislation. [SPEAKER_08]: Instead, gas is up 45% due to our actions.
[SPEAKER_08]: The president's decision to go to war with Iran. [SPEAKER_08]: He's focused on his ballroom. [SPEAKER_08]: He's announced a $1.8 billion restitution fund. [SPEAKER_08]: We'll talk about that. [SPEAKER_08]: With zero details or congressional authority, dear to do so. [SPEAKER_08]: It's just crazy. [SPEAKER_08]: So what Republicans are saying, they are, they know that he has screwed them, and yesterday was a perfect example.
[SPEAKER_08]: So you had a Keesh Lance bottoms, former Atlanta mayor, we're going to hit Ron Roberts in here from our Georgia affiliate talk about that here, Doug Jones, former U.S. [SPEAKER_08]: Senator, won the Democratic primary for Alabama Governor's race. [SPEAKER_08]: Excellentness. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: He's going to be running against the idiot former football coach. [SPEAKER_04]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, whatever. [SPEAKER_08]: More on.
[SPEAKER_08]: Just saying I'm not a big fan of Trevorville. [SPEAKER_08]: Shapiro, he won his primary. [SPEAKER_07]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_08]: And all man, well, there's a clip from him. [SPEAKER_08]: I want to play a little bit later. [SPEAKER_08]: Because Shapiro is all about Trump's corruption. [SPEAKER_08]: Democrats did a lot of winning, even though the mainstream media did not talk about a whole lot of it last.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they voted in larger numbers from what I understand than Republicans in their primaries. [SPEAKER_08]: That's the big thing, down in Georgia especially, um, I love this. [SPEAKER_08]: So, uh, the Republicans, um, that they, they came out, but they came out for their guys. [SPEAKER_08]: Basically, they're, they're Trump people. [SPEAKER_08]: Democrats, it was, it was in way over performance as far as the number of people voting.
[SPEAKER_08]: The voting was way up because Democrats came out in Georgia. [SPEAKER_08]: So y'all, y'all folks in Georgia [SPEAKER_08]: Go have to do that again. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we need presidential election. [SPEAKER_02]: We need better than presidential election numbers. [SPEAKER_08]: According to polling USA, the numbers look like this. [SPEAKER_08]: The latest polling models say Democratic candidates now lead in 52 Senate seats and 233 house seats.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's just Jody is grinning, by the way. [SPEAKER_08]: That's just polling models. [SPEAKER_08]: But it says we do have a very strong chance [SPEAKER_08]: So anybody tells you different and and there are already I'm seeing folks in the mainstream media, Democrats need to worry. [SPEAKER_08]: They're trying to get you to E or they're trying to get you to do with a lot of the Democrats are home. [SPEAKER_02]: I say worry but vote. [SPEAKER_02]: Hell yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Don't get happy like Bob always says don't get happy get out there in vote. [SPEAKER_08]: Exactly Bob says go probably say that when he's in later tonight by the way. [SPEAKER_02]: Well and you know when Donald endorsed Ken Paxton. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Donnie. [SPEAKER_02]: That's when Lisa Mercowski, John Thune, even Susan Collins, you know, we're like, ooh, that's not a good idea. [SPEAKER_02]: I think even Lindsey Graham said it was a bad idea.
[SPEAKER_08]: We have a piece under the coming blue wave talking about Republican senators are super pissed that he endorsed packs and because They are going to be screwed meanwhile yesterday. [SPEAKER_08]: There was a cap action conference here in DC and leading Democrats are coming out and saying it now. [SPEAKER_08]: Their plan is to fight fire with fire. [SPEAKER_08]: Good. [SPEAKER_08]: That our Democratic leaders are saying let's go boy, howdy.
[SPEAKER_08]: So. [SPEAKER_08]: This is what we've been asking for, and demanding, and we need to keep pushing for it. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what they did in Louisiana now, they're doing in South Carolina and Texas everywhere. [SPEAKER_02]: That really got under Hakeem Jeffree's crawl. [SPEAKER_08]: Hmm, it did, but it's nice to see her key mat there going, you know what, fine. [SPEAKER_08]: Let's kick some ass. [SPEAKER_08]: It's good. [SPEAKER_08]: So look, there's a lot of good happy news.
[SPEAKER_08]: See, we've already told you a little bit of it. [SPEAKER_08]: Bob Cesska's coming in. [SPEAKER_08]: We have a, it's, it's a good drink of the day. [SPEAKER_08]: I think you will be happy with it. [SPEAKER_08]: Just, uh, anyway, look, go see you now. [SPEAKER_08]: They're very important. [SPEAKER_08]: It is. [SPEAKER_08]: And look, fresh new drink, come on back. [SPEAKER_08]: We'll give you more of the news on tap. [SPEAKER_08]: Hang on.
[SPEAKER_04]: We'll be right back after we pay some bills at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_08]: Good. [SPEAKER_08]: What is this? [SPEAKER_08]: When's the evening? [SPEAKER_08]: Holy cow. [SPEAKER_08]: Sorry. [SPEAKER_08]: I don't even think I stated it at the top of the show. [SPEAKER_08]: It is when's the evening? [SPEAKER_08]: It is. [SPEAKER_08]: And we are here talking to the politics stuff here at the politics bar.
[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you very much by the way to everybody who has joined us from wherever. [SPEAKER_08]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_08]: If you reach out on any of our social media or the bar line 2136777258, that's 213677758 or 213677. [SPEAKER_08]: Salt. [SPEAKER_08]: Thanks also to everybody who leaves messages on Blue Sky and Threads, Instagram, Facebook, Substack, Twitter, and YouTube. [SPEAKER_08]: We are at the politics bar, which is where you are at.
[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you also by the way to Chris and AB and Maggie and Andrea and Joe and Jared, Jared Rizzi. [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, he'll be here in a couple of weeks. [SPEAKER_08]: Dad thing he has to do, I think next week or week. [SPEAKER_08]: I want to look. [SPEAKER_02]: No, it's an evening next week. [SPEAKER_08]: No, no, I asked him about that and he said, yes, and then he goes, no, wait a minute, nope, I got to do dad duty. [SPEAKER_08]: So I can do it the week after that.
[SPEAKER_08]: I said, that's fine. [SPEAKER_08]: You know, kids, school, dad, things, whatever, that's fine. [SPEAKER_08]: Joe. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, we do already have somebody else booked. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, that's okay. [SPEAKER_08]: I looked. [SPEAKER_08]: I looked on the calendar. [SPEAKER_08]: It's the other. [SPEAKER_08]: It's the other. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay. [SPEAKER_00]: That's fine. [SPEAKER_08]: See, we're all there. [SPEAKER_08]: I look. [SPEAKER_08]: We pay attention to details.
[SPEAKER_08]: Joe, the United. [SPEAKER_08]: We were talking in the break. [SPEAKER_08]: What would be a fantastic, you know, kind of dreaming, if you will. [SPEAKER_08]: By the way, John Stewart, he was over at Colbert's place last night. [SPEAKER_02]: And tomorrow is going to the ratings are going to be through the roof tomorrow. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm definitely he's already winning late night right now, but it's it's those ratings are going to be people that normally don't tune in [SPEAKER_08]: You're right, that'll be the P1's P2's and P3's, everybody there. [SPEAKER_08]: But Stuart last night, here's what he said. [SPEAKER_08]: And I think everybody can join in this dream, because I know I love this one.
[SPEAKER_03]: Trey, the day, the day, old people, close your eyes and dream, the day that the electorate in this great nation, we call home, repudiates this putrid administration, the day that that happens. [SPEAKER_03]: My brother, uh-huh, there will be, and I mean this, the day that that happens, there will be a joyful noise from the bowels of this great country that will make Hungary's repudiation of Urbans look like an omish Sabbath. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, it is there will be there will be parties. [SPEAKER_08]: There will be dancing in the streets. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: It'll be like when we elected Obama first time. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, and Biden for that matter. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I literally, I was walking that morning that whenever that Saturday, I think that morning. [SPEAKER_02]: And I was listening to MSNBC because they were like, okay, we might know today.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so I just, I wasn't listening to podcasts. [SPEAKER_02]: I was just listening to live news. [SPEAKER_00]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: And they finally said, it's official. [SPEAKER_02]: Joe Biden's been elected, and then this one neighbor person that I know in that part of my neighborhood. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's Joe. [SPEAKER_02]: She went like, God. [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: That was that was the reaction, the reaction, the reaction from a lot of people.
[SPEAKER_02]: When I called my mom immediately, and then I texted my neighbors and said, I'm getting champagne. [SPEAKER_02]: You guys want to have a party in our, in our driveways. [SPEAKER_02]: And they're like, yes, I'm getting some too. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it was like a whole thing. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it looked.
[SPEAKER_08]: We are all sick and tired of this orange monster and there are actually a lot of people who voted for him one or two times whatever Three some people voted from three times Even some of them are like, you know what they're done with him and it's understandable Look one of the biggest reasons if you go down to the third round This is what I am calling it based on something at Richard Chu said this morning on WCPT and AM950 [SPEAKER_08]: Donald's new.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's not a settlement. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's not.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's it's it's just, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh [SPEAKER_08]: is reparations and it is.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's reparations for insurrectionist traders. [SPEAKER_08]: That's what it is. [SPEAKER_08]: So by the way, if any of these cracker jack idiots out there says that we can't do reparations, Donald Trump wants to do $1.8 billion in reparations for January 6th insurrectionist traders who attacked our U.S. Capitol and took a crap and wiped it in the walls. [SPEAKER_08]: So don't tell me, when somebody says, oh, we can't do reparations.
[SPEAKER_08]: Your orange god wants to do reparations now. [SPEAKER_08]: And you people are many of you are still in for it. [SPEAKER_08]: So don't tell me it can't be done. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, yeah, and I mean, you know, like we were talking about in the break, if we get the 300, if it's an 80% voter turnout, and we get 300 seats in the house, and we get 67 seats in the Senate, it's possible children. [SPEAKER_02]: We can impeach both.
[SPEAKER_02]: the president and the vice president, neither make hockey and jeffries are new president, or we make Kamala Harris the Speaker of the House, right? [SPEAKER_02]: She becomes president. [SPEAKER_02]: She appoints, with approval from the Senate, I believe, in Congress, she appoints Tim Walls. [SPEAKER_02]: He becomes the natural vice president, because he's amazing. [SPEAKER_02]: And, but I did just look it up. [SPEAKER_00]: You're having such a good time.
[SPEAKER_02]: I did look up the 22nd Amendment, does say if a vice president or other successor assumes the presidency and serves more than two years of their predecessors' term, they're only allowed to be elected to one full term, but if they only serve two years, they can serve two years. [SPEAKER_08]: You can see, it's served ten. [SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, God. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, I'm sorry, that's kind of where I'm at when you say stuff like that, but we can have common one for 10 years. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I would take just two and with that kind of a Congress and Senate, we could get so much good work done. [SPEAKER_08]: I would also, yeah, I would take two and a half if Colin Harris and two malls said, you know, we did all of this. [SPEAKER_08]: We win, you know, 67 in the Senate.
[SPEAKER_08]: We win 200 or more than 300 in the house. [SPEAKER_08]: And and they, because remember, by the way, this speaker of the house can be anybody can be anybody on earth. [SPEAKER_08]: Now people say wait a minute now they couldn't necessarily serve as president she can't But you could literally name anybody not not even in a US citizen can be the speaker of the house legally Which we heard but anyway They don't have to be a member of the house. [SPEAKER_02]: It's that's the thing.
[SPEAKER_08]: They don't have to say they could name comua the speaker then as you said She would elevate and then she would name him and then boom right okay They could also use that two and a half years and go Absolutely ape crab
[SPEAKER_08]: all out throttle all the way up and say all the stuff that Democrats have been wanting to do for 60 years and some of the Republicans roll back screw it abortion legal all the time whatever by um you know I mean anything that uh oh universal basic income okay fine done um uh universal health care done [SPEAKER_08]: Absolutely, hammer it through, watch the Republicans' heads explode, which since we'd have universal health care, they could then get into it.
[SPEAKER_08]: They'd be treated. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, the thing is, Randy said this for years, I've always said this, I know you have, when Lyndon Johnson got the civil rights stuff passed, and Medicare, and all the things he had, a Senate, [SPEAKER_02]: And the house that was so overwhelmingly big much like FDR did, that it couldn't be filibustered and that was at 67, I believe, back in the 60s, not at 60 votes.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so he was able to overcome that because we, the people gave him the Congress that would support what he was talking about. [SPEAKER_08]: even more than that and I actually had a little bit of a discussion over on Facebook with AG with Allison Gill about this too because she's like, oh, I'd really love AOC to be present. [SPEAKER_02]: I said, I don't want her to be present yet. [SPEAKER_02]: She's going to be your great president, but not you know, I would I would love it.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay. [SPEAKER_08]: Since we're dreaming, since we're talking about what we would love to see if this happened. [SPEAKER_08]: If Democrats show up, it Democrats [SPEAKER_08]: And we all vote for the good saying people who happen to be Democrats overwhelmingly and of you independence. [SPEAKER_08]: I would love it if they after Kamala got re-elevated and Tim got in as SVP. [SPEAKER_08]: I'd love it if they made AOC the speaker.
[SPEAKER_08]: Because I would love to see her be speaker for a couple of terms, two, three terms, whatever. [SPEAKER_08]: and then run for president because she would be like L.B.J. [SPEAKER_08]: at that point. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, yes. [SPEAKER_08]: L.B.J. [SPEAKER_08]: had been in Congress. [SPEAKER_08]: He knew ever been that. [SPEAKER_08]: That was by the way, when Congress talked to each other.
[SPEAKER_08]: When you had Republicans and Democrats who actually socialize with each other, they did up until Nick Engrich. [SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_08]: And L.B.J. [SPEAKER_08]: happened to know people and he could be a real monster when he wanted to be. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: Because he knew your personal stuff. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he knew where all the bodies were buried.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, like that reporter, I said, who, you know, told that politician, I've been trying to get a hold of you about that camera and, you know, your, your daughter is playing on the playground right now, which, you know, the politician suddenly went, no, I'm listening. [SPEAKER_08]: It's like, I shouldn't have to grab you by the throat and throw you against the wall for you to pay attention. [SPEAKER_08]: your job as a politician is to listen to what your people are telling you.
[SPEAKER_08]: You should not have to be, you know, and that goes the same by the way for private corporations. [SPEAKER_08]: We're looking to you, buffer. [SPEAKER_08]: Look, your customers and your constituents have the same kinds of things.
[SPEAKER_08]: In that when they speak, you should listen if you would like to continue having your business [SPEAKER_08]: And when they tell you to pay attention and do things correctly and not be corrupt and not try to cheat them and not try to steal, try to help them. [SPEAKER_08]: That's what you, oh my God, I loved this, I just pulled this because I love the quote today.
[SPEAKER_08]: Mayor M. Danny was, [SPEAKER_08]: He's talking about some of the efforts, some of the things that he's doing. [SPEAKER_08]: And he talked about Reagan's quote about fearing the government here. [SPEAKER_08]: Let me just play this because you guys recognize the quote and he says what government should be doing, what Democrats and independence should be saying here. [SPEAKER_01]: I cannot help but think of the words of our 40th president Ronald Reagan.
[SPEAKER_01]: He famously said the nine most terrifying words in the English language are I'm from the government and I'm here to help. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a good quote, but I disagree. [SPEAKER_01]: I think nine more terrifying words are actually, I worked all day and can't feed my family. [SPEAKER_01]: We are going to use the power of government to lower prices and make it easier for New Yorkers to put food on the table. [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_08]: Amen. [SPEAKER_08]: That's what government is for is to do for us the things that we cannot do for ourselves. [SPEAKER_08]: That's the whole reason that we work together as a collective. [SPEAKER_08]: That's what government is. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: And government, by the way, can be as small as two people.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's you and your spouse, or you and your friend, or you and your neighbor, agreeing to do something that benefits both of you, or that benefits the neighbor, that benefits more than just you. [SPEAKER_08]: if you take responsibility and then that's your responsibility in your neighborhood congratulations you are by definition a form of government you are the lowest form of government the smallest form but you are that is that is government see people I don't want any government
[SPEAKER_08]: when it's just you living all by yourself and you make determinations about what you're going to to pay and how you're going to have to go make things turn the butter in whatever the hell else you have to do to order survive for yourself you are governing yourself you are a government so you all want to go from it
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't understand that because what it's hilarious is like, do you want good government or the government that gets elected and proves that they don't know what they're doing? [SPEAKER_08]: Joe, he's right. [SPEAKER_08]: I want great government. [SPEAKER_08]: I want government that works. [SPEAKER_08]: It's one of the reasons that I'm so pissed about this reparations for traders plan that Trump has. [SPEAKER_08]: We've got that in the third round.
[SPEAKER_08]: You guys can look at the articles there. [SPEAKER_08]: This corrupt quote unquote settlement, which is not a settlement, as we've already said, would ban the IRS from investigating Trump and his family in the future? [SPEAKER_08]: So down the road, when he's not in office, [SPEAKER_08]: It would prevent them from investigating him or anybody he designates for any past or future tax issues. [SPEAKER_08]: I have a question to Todd Blanch.
[SPEAKER_02]: So if he said, if Donald said, and if I murder somebody on Fifth Avenue, I don't want to be investigated for that. [SPEAKER_02]: Would that also be in that memo? [SPEAKER_08]: According to the way that it looks, yeah, probably. [SPEAKER_08]: So you'd have to ask. [SPEAKER_02]: Toplayer just fine if Donald has committed crimes, we already know that because he's his lawyer. [SPEAKER_02]: He's also fine when Donald and his children and his businesses commit more crimes.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's, yes, it's a white collar crime, but it's still criming. [SPEAKER_08]: 100 percent and look we've we've got pieces from some of our members of our legal bar bar mccoyed has her piece l.e. [SPEAKER_08]: the stall has a good piece Greg Sargent who I'd love to get in here he has a good piece too um that he says look this massive level of construction um this slush fund for insurrectionist it is a political weapon that Democrats must use this is this is
[SPEAKER_08]: let these folks hang themselves or as we used to say in the navy uh... and it was a metaphor but not a real thing um let them put the anchor around their neck means i mean you know if if somebody had a chain or a rope man they act or thrown overboard congratulations they're going down to meet Davie Jones
[SPEAKER_08]: which is politically where the Republican party is going to go if they keep going this direction by the looks of the elections last night that is exactly where they're headed so don't let them don't stand in the way of them cross the fingers is right cross your fingers toes and eyes [SPEAKER_08]: Exactly, uh on a white Bob Ceska coming in a little bit later here. [SPEAKER_08]: We also have this um It's a sweet drink tonight. [SPEAKER_08]: It's one that is it will be good.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm just Look if you know you know and if you don't come on back We'll talk to you about the drink of the day next Wednesday night you're hanging with Jodi and me Sean here politics bar hang on [SPEAKER_04]: We'll be right back after we pay some bills at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_08]: It is Wednesday here at politics bar. [SPEAKER_08]: We are one day for, well, okay, see technically we're taking a little bit of vacation.
[SPEAKER_08]: We have a best up with some new stuff on Friday and a best up with some new stuff on Monday. [SPEAKER_08]: So there will be new stuff that nobody's heard whether you're listening on the podcast or the radio. [SPEAKER_08]: And of course, new drinks as well, because you'll be like to do that. [SPEAKER_08]: Look, even when we're doing best, we like to do fresh new drinks, because we know some of you out there, even on holidays, are still working your butts off.
[SPEAKER_08]: Of course, you know, if you are working, maybe you're missing this on the radio, you're like, I didn't get a hair on the radio last night or whatever, you're one of those future people. [SPEAKER_08]: That's fine. [SPEAKER_08]: Be a future pre-built people. [SPEAKER_08]: That's fine. [SPEAKER_08]: You can subscribe on your favorite podcast or more preferably at the politicsbar.com. [SPEAKER_08]: $6 a month. [SPEAKER_08]: It's a buck 50 a week.
[SPEAKER_08]: If you do it as an annual subscription, it's a buck 25. [SPEAKER_08]: And right now, if you go into the the news on tap for today, right under the first round, there's that discount button. [SPEAKER_08]: You click it. [SPEAKER_08]: You get 10% off. [SPEAKER_08]: Look at that. [SPEAKER_08]: You could basically [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I mean, come on. [SPEAKER_08]: Look, there's plenty of ways for you to do this and make it inexpensive for you.
[SPEAKER_08]: We do that because we know the Donald Trump doesn't care about how, you know, what kind of things that they're doing to screw you as far as the income and the economy. [SPEAKER_08]: But we aim to please here at the Baltics bar. [SPEAKER_08]: So check it out. [SPEAKER_08]: It's all there at the Baltics bar.com.
[SPEAKER_08]: uh one of the things you get if you do subscribe is you get the drink of the day with the recipe um you can get the history otherwise just to not with the recipe i'd like this this this is one of your favorite animals i believe i'd like this one of them for sure in fact the other day we were out having breakfast and a yellow jacket flew by and was like [SPEAKER_02]: looking at my food, and then looking at the flowers next to me, I'm like, hi, honey, you need to go away now.
[SPEAKER_02]: Not freaking out, not trying to shoe it, just going, let's go over here, being very nice, because they will sting you. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they're not like hippies. [SPEAKER_02]: They will, because they're more aggressive than a honeybee, but they're all important. [SPEAKER_02]: And what we're talking about today is World B Day.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I believe it was, I think it was Einstein [SPEAKER_08]: Well, yeah, I mean, it's pretty obvious with that they are the primary pollinator. [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, there's butterflies and moths and wasps and other things, but these are the primary pollinator for like 75% of the food that's thrown into you. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we can't do it without them. [SPEAKER_02]: We don't have enough of us.
[SPEAKER_08]: There was a lot of of over high over the last few years about colony collapse and they there there are people have said a lot of bees that that the bee populations have have come back to some degree which is fine, but it's still it's still I mean
[SPEAKER_08]: we've all found out how many things are connected in our world these days and with the fact that you've got idiots like Trump in there who are, you know, screw this, let's keep putting more, you know, carbon in the air and what, look, we got to watch the world and you got to watch the beast because, you know, you think conservatives would like to conserve. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, that's how you know they're not actually conservative, too. [SPEAKER_08]: They're maggots.
[SPEAKER_08]: They're not conservative. [SPEAKER_08]: And now bees are not maggots. [SPEAKER_02]: That's a whole other that is important, too. [SPEAKER_02]: The actual ones, not the ones we're talking about. [SPEAKER_02]: Right, exactly. [SPEAKER_08]: I do like you got the origins of World B Day, which is good in here. [SPEAKER_08]: And of course, the importance of bees to the food supply, as we just mentioned. [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, 75% of the world's leading crops.
[SPEAKER_08]: I see I knew I'd read that and a nice little video there a gardener's guide to preserving the bee population if you're not sure of how to do it, you can take a little action by watching the video. [SPEAKER_02]: You don't want to put in the musical number that they did on Gilligan's Island because [SPEAKER_08]: Or, you know, we could have put in a little icon for the HoneyNet Cheerios and a little cartoon figure. [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, there's a lot of B-related stuff out there.
[SPEAKER_02]: The B movie. [SPEAKER_08]: There you go. [SPEAKER_08]: That we could have put in a clip from that as well. [SPEAKER_08]: I like the fact that we have this as a cocktail and a mock-tune, because, you know, we do aim to try to please you guys to make sure that regardless of what you drink, that you can have some of what we've got in the bar, Jody, today's Honey Bee cocktail and mock-tale. [SPEAKER_08]: How do we make such an animal?
[SPEAKER_02]: OK, you need a pre-chilled coupe glass, a shaker, some ice. [SPEAKER_02]: For the cocktail two ounces of Jamaican dark rum, a half ounce for the cocktail two ounces of liars, dark rum, alternative, which I have had, it's good. [SPEAKER_02]: A half ounce of fresh lemon juice, a half ounce of honey syrup, or a quarter ounce of honey, and a quarter ounce of warm water, whichever you have. [SPEAKER_02]: So basically it's not honey pure.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's got a [SPEAKER_02]: it's more liquid yeah it's more liquid than actual honey is so if you're using honey syrup add that to the shaker alternatively add the quarter ounce each of the honey and warm water and then stir it to dissolve the honey and then pour that into the shaker.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, yeah, the idea is that you got like the liquid honey stuff at the bottom of the shit right exactly and then you add your rum or the rum alternative and the lemon juice Then you add your ice all to your said shaker. [SPEAKER_02]: You shake it and you strain into a cook-less there is no garnish So it's very simple [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, nice, nice. [SPEAKER_02]: And it looks, it sounds yummy, actually. [SPEAKER_08]: I like, and I like the way it looks, too. [SPEAKER_08]: I know.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it's, it's a honey-colored. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a very simple drink, and it looks yummy, and looks somewhat refreshing. [SPEAKER_02]: Rum is sweet, so enjoy it. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a sweet drink. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, look, it's got honey and lemon juice. [SPEAKER_08]: So if you're having voice problems, you could probably. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm just like a mocktail version, don't you?
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, well, in the sister because they need to be one, two, three floor. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: So, but yeah, no, I mean, it's a lovely drink and bees rock. [SPEAKER_02]: And if you see, I actually saw this as a weirdest thing. [SPEAKER_02]: It was a couple of years ago, I was walking as I do. [SPEAKER_02]: And I saw basically a hive of bees frozen on the ground. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, and that can happen. [SPEAKER_08]: They call them frozen bees not literally frozen.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're just like staying in one place They're like it's kind of like a weird hibernation thing and I don't know where the queen was because obviously They were I think she was probably in there right and I took a pet have a picture somewhere on my phone I was like this is the strangest thing and then I looked it up. [SPEAKER_02]: It's sometimes bees can get quote frozen Just leave them be like sometimes they'll just kind of hang out [SPEAKER_02]: It's on somebody's car.
[SPEAKER_08]: Are they moving? [SPEAKER_02]: A little bit of, I mean, I knew they were alive. [SPEAKER_02]: I never thought of that. [SPEAKER_08]: That's what I'm saying. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: There was enough of them. [SPEAKER_08]: They were just staying in one place. [SPEAKER_02]: It was just kind of there. [SPEAKER_08]: I've seen that. [SPEAKER_08]: That's when they're moving to a new colony. [SPEAKER_08]: Right.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: And the queen takes a break somewhere and everybody else goes, wait, wait, wait, wait. [SPEAKER_08]: No whole thing. [SPEAKER_08]: They all just alighted us. [SPEAKER_02]: And it was just, it was weird that she was on the ground. [SPEAKER_02]: Because sometimes so do it on a car. [SPEAKER_08]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm I've seen that several times, but I also seem quote frozen bees that are singular when it's cold out.
[SPEAKER_08]: if it's cold enough, I suppose. [SPEAKER_02]: And because I used to see them sometimes at my old job, I'd be like, it was okay. [SPEAKER_02]: And a friend of somebody that worked for us, he goes, yeah, that's a frozen be a little flyaway when it warms up a little. [SPEAKER_02]: When the sun hits him, he'll be, he'll be off. [SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, okay, as long as he's okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then we do save them out of our pool when they decide to be stupid and drink water out of the pool. [SPEAKER_08]: Just like this, there's no, there is no be in pool. [SPEAKER_08]: just saying spell it or what there is a pee but don't pee right please do not put do not put your pee in our pool okay but yeah no I mean these bees are
[SPEAKER_08]: these are all good thing and we need them so you guys can check out the the whole history the background it is it is good it's it's world B day and we're celebrating that way today with the drink of the day check it out details are at the politics bar dot com and the fifth round today the entertainment section we've got there um obviously we do a little bit of other things in that section as well um condolences to those people who uh new representative Barney Frank uh died today to 86 he went into
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, two, three weeks ago. [SPEAKER_08]: I have I have had my issues with Barney Frank over the years. [SPEAKER_08]: I am glad for the Wall Street reform that he did. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: I am glad that he was a gay rights trailblazer. [SPEAKER_08]: He was.
[SPEAKER_08]: He could also be a little abrasive and he was recently and it's like, okay dude, you do you but You know at the same time you don't have to like something that somebody else likes to be glad that they like it in the same way You don't have to Know somebody to give condolences to the people who like them and care about that.
[SPEAKER_08]: You'd be like you know I'm sorry to hear that that person passed and they did some good stuff and [SPEAKER_08]: You know, hopefully their memory will help other people out in the actions they took. [SPEAKER_08]: So other parts of the media matters. [SPEAKER_08]: James Murdock, that's the good one. [SPEAKER_08]: The good one. [SPEAKER_08]: It's kind of like he's he's the Mary Trump of the Murdock fan. [SPEAKER_02]: Is he lockling his little brother or he's the liberal one, right?
[SPEAKER_08]: He's decided to buy New York Magazine, Vox Media's podcast network and the Vox website, Vox.com and the deal worth more than 300 million, which that's not bad. [SPEAKER_02]: Will he give money to us? [SPEAKER_08]: I would love to see that way. [SPEAKER_08]: He has money. [SPEAKER_08]: This is true. [SPEAKER_08]: Google has announced a slew of AI additions. [SPEAKER_08]: You can now, we are to say. [SPEAKER_08]: Google search without using AI. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm not a fan.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going back to Duck.co at this point. [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, I did earlier today. [SPEAKER_08]: I reset my browser might have all browser to Duck.co. [SPEAKER_08]: So anyway, weird. [SPEAKER_08]: In other entertainment, the handmaids two handmaids tail, SQL series, the Testaments. [SPEAKER_08]: They haven't phrased weird in this. [SPEAKER_08]: Anyway, it's getting season two.
[SPEAKER_02]: I know I'm very glad because season one's almost over and it's like oh my god Which has happened today. [SPEAKER_08]: I thought well speaking of over with the boys series It's done haven't seen it yet, so no spoiler has not read the spoil word if if you have not seen it and you you want to I just started it Okay, and it's in the entertainment section today. [SPEAKER_08]: You don't have to read it.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think they were to kill one off and it was so sad [SPEAKER_08]: I'm just saying, it's got spoilers there. [SPEAKER_08]: On the new Netflix documentary, pop superstar Kylie Minogue, an ounce that she had a second cancer diagnosis. [SPEAKER_08]: Just a few years back, five years ago in 2021 and she hid that from the public because people freaked out so much the first time. [SPEAKER_02]: So, well, I mean, it's her business to tell us or not. [SPEAKER_08]: Right.
[SPEAKER_08]: And look, I like her pop music. [SPEAKER_08]: I like a lot of her music because it's happy. [SPEAKER_08]: It's positive pop. [SPEAKER_08]: So, I kinda take that out. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, she's cancer-free now or at least is in remission at the moment. [SPEAKER_08]: Yep. [SPEAKER_08]: Yep, which yay. [SPEAKER_08]: We like that.
[SPEAKER_08]: Also in the sports section of the entertainment game one last night of the NBA Eastern Conference finals, these finals are our brutal both of them. [SPEAKER_08]: But both of the first games went to OT last night. [SPEAKER_08]: The next they were 22 down with less than eight minutes to go in the fourth quarter. [SPEAKER_08]: They ended up winning 115 to 104 in over time. [SPEAKER_08]: over the Cavaliers. [SPEAKER_02]: Wow, New York's happening.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, yeah, for those people who are like, you know, who are this morning going, yeah, my nicks, my nicks, my nicks, so for those of your nicks fans, there you go. [SPEAKER_08]: But if you have not been watching the NBA or WNBA, since WNBA season, there's a start in NBA is just in, y'all may want to watch it. [SPEAKER_08]: That's nice and early this year. [SPEAKER_08]: I like, I like that. [SPEAKER_02]: I've been noticing more ads for the WNBA on regular television, which I like.
[SPEAKER_08]: I have been saying this for a very long time that if they provided the same amount of advertising and promotions and support to women's sports that they do to men's sports that women's sports will be more successful. [SPEAKER_08]: I know this. [SPEAKER_08]: directly because when I was the executive producer of the Husker Sports Radio Network and I was responsible. [SPEAKER_08]: We did that with volleyball. [SPEAKER_08]: Let's see the Husker volleyball team now.
[SPEAKER_08]: They're playing it regularly this summer. [SPEAKER_08]: They're also playing in Las Vegas. [SPEAKER_08]: They're also playing a tournament in Texas. [SPEAKER_08]: And that's before the regular season. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_08]: So by the way, Rigglyfield Husker volleyball says, that's a small game, it's only 45,000. [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, you know, we played before the 90,000 people. [SPEAKER_08]: It's not only a small game, it's a small game, you know?
[SPEAKER_08]: Small game at Rigglyfield. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, I think women's soccer has helped propel, yeah, women's soccer, women's basketball, all of the women's sports. [SPEAKER_08]: And the fact that they are helping each other out and promoting each other. [SPEAKER_08]: And in the mainstream, goes, hey, you know what, when we promote women, people watch it, you think.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, don't talk to certain executives at a certain streaming channel about oh, no, I'm aware of that But I just that there are still some people who are still stuck in their old ways and there are still some people And they're 30 years old stuck in their ways.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, there's that just because just because your age I mean your age does not necessarily cut out your youth your mom's 93 and she's still got a young mind And she's still working so I mean and then there are people who like you said [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, Steve Miller, just saying.
[SPEAKER_08]: Anyway, what we're going to talk more about the Trump regime and their insane levels of corruption, uh, there's some stuff that that it looks like we may be able to stop this stupid corner quote settlement, which is not a settlement, it's not a settlement. [SPEAKER_08]: It's not a settlement. [SPEAKER_08]: We'll talk about that. [SPEAKER_08]: Bob Cesska's coming again coming in a little bit as well and I need another drink. [SPEAKER_08]: So what?
[SPEAKER_08]: Look, fresh in your drink. [SPEAKER_08]: Do what you got to do down the hall, left, right, and center. [SPEAKER_08]: We aim to please hear the politics bar. [SPEAKER_08]: You aim to please. [SPEAKER_08]: Come on back, fresh in your drink, and we'll have another round on this Wednesday night. [SPEAKER_08]: Hang on. [SPEAKER_04]: We'll be right back after we pay some bills at the politics bar.
[SPEAKER_02]: Let it go, thank you, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go,
[SPEAKER_08]: It's tomorrow then when he's listening because he's a future people. [SPEAKER_08]: He is a future people. [SPEAKER_08]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_08]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_08]: If you are a future people listening or if you are listening on any one of our great radio broadcast stations. [SPEAKER_08]: Thank you for if you're listening on affiliates like AM-950 Minneapolis Saint Paul or maybe you're listening to the detour talk in Tennessee.
[SPEAKER_08]: Maybe you're plugged in to WCPT AM-820 Chicago or Georgia now radio in the ATL or maybe you are listening to progressive voices radio worldwide.
[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you very much, however you're listening and of course, we are very thankful to those of you who say you know what six bucks a month is not too much to ask to be able to listen to you whenever we want go to the bar whatever time you feel like yeah you can do that just subscribe to the politics bar dot com you get the podcast you can listen whenever you want add free and you get the drink of the day with the recipe and you get the news on tap it's all there politics bar dot com
[SPEAKER_08]: All right, Jody, first round, first hour, we talked obviously about the election returns and what's good and bad, obviously we had a little bit of the reparation for traders. [SPEAKER_08]: I want to talk a more about the corrupt from the Trump regime, because there's some stuff on that. [SPEAKER_08]: And some of the effects, the costs of this corruption and the Republican failure for those of you who missed it, by the way, the Iran war is still going on.
[SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_02]: See, Spirechmi, Spirech, go on. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: Joe, you're right. [SPEAKER_08]: The Iran, by the way, not only is the ceasefire, not, I mean, it's there, mostly ceasefire, but there, Iran is consolidate control. [SPEAKER_08]: They're smart. [SPEAKER_08]: They're smart. [SPEAKER_08]: Because that's, I mean, close the bloggers. [SPEAKER_08]: It's in their backyard. [SPEAKER_08]: What do you expect them to do?
[SPEAKER_08]: This is the thing that killed me. [SPEAKER_08]: So there's a new report out comes in the New York Times. [SPEAKER_08]: We have a free link. [SPEAKER_08]: So if you're not subscribed to the New York Times, don't worry about it. [SPEAKER_08]: You can go check it out. [SPEAKER_08]: It's in the news on tap there. [SPEAKER_08]: New report exposes early Iran Wargoal for Trump was to install hardmines for President Ahmadina Jad as Iran's new leader.
[SPEAKER_08]: Are you freaking kidding me? [SPEAKER_02]: He was, he's better than the, I had told us, but he's still bad.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's why he's better and it was Trump and Netanyahu it was their plan But here's the thing their plan is I got it he's under house arrest so here's the deal We're gonna fly in we're gonna like bomb it out right but not not not completely bomb Just kind of bomb the edge of it and have a free him and then we'll work with him and we'll put him back in charge [SPEAKER_02]: and he was informed according to the reporting. [SPEAKER_08]: He wasn't.
[SPEAKER_08]: He was like, okay, if you think this will work, he was a little hesitant about it, and then when they... [SPEAKER_08]: And then they went to hit his house and they obviously misfired, which was entirely foreseeable. [SPEAKER_08]: And they don't know how damaged he is. [SPEAKER_08]: And the people who are connected to him have said that he is no longer interested in that particular thing and is. [SPEAKER_02]: They might have killed somebody he knows.
[SPEAKER_02]: They might have killed his dog. [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, you know, John Wick alone. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: They don't kill their dog. [SPEAKER_08]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_07]: This is this this this this was the brilliant idea that Trump and Netanyahu had Hey, we're gonna go break out.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm a junior job from his his home confinement and if you think that's dumb Wait, there's more For 1999 you get this [SPEAKER_08]: What you get is 94-year-old former Cuban president, Red Ocasero, who turns 95 on June 3rd, by the way, was indicted today by the Trump DOJ over the 1996 fatal downing of two planes. [SPEAKER_08]: We've got, I added that link and end of the news on tap, Jody. [SPEAKER_08]: The story of Cuba's 1996 shoot down, I don't know if you were familiar with it.
[SPEAKER_02]: I remember it all, barely. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay. [SPEAKER_08]: The long and the short on this, the case that the Trump DOJ is using to indict a royal Castro. [SPEAKER_08]: Remember, this isn't even the older castor. [SPEAKER_08]: This is royal. [SPEAKER_08]: This was the second castor. [SPEAKER_02]: The state, Fidel. [SPEAKER_02]: This is. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_08]: This is royal. [SPEAKER_08]: The case is 23 years old.
[SPEAKER_08]: It was started in 2003 under the George W. Bush administration. [SPEAKER_08]: It was going back to the events that happened in 1996. [SPEAKER_08]: There was some changes, Clinton had changed a little bit of the immigration stuff, so that people weren't jumping into boats and getting killed and brought free, alien. [SPEAKER_08]: Right. [SPEAKER_08]: We remember all of that, right.
[SPEAKER_08]: So there were these organizations that would try to kind of [SPEAKER_08]: planes that that would cover the the ocean between the U.S. and Cuba try to pick people up try to save them whatever maybe sometimes occasionally there are reports of them landing on the beach and Cuba getting people in and taking off whatever they effectively buzzed Havana that buzzed the capital.
[SPEAKER_08]: you remember when when some jackass here a couple years back i think it was in Biden was an office tried to buzz the dc capital here he had his ultralight plane yeah i almost got shot down right well there was no almost they had tried this a couple of times the Cuban government had said you jackass is tried this again the next time you come in we will shoot you down yes the next time they came in
[SPEAKER_08]: They said, hey, they got on the radio and they said, well, we're in this this gray area between your airspace and ours and the Cuban said, well, if you keep going, we're going to shoot you down because we said, we shoot you down and they kept going and they shot them down and they killed for Americans because they were basically buzzing of Anna, which [SPEAKER_08]: I understand that you want to just say the Cuban people, but there are things that you can't do.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's one of them. [SPEAKER_08]: I don't like Vladimir Putin, but you want to know one of the things I'm not going to do, I'm not going to create a go-fun me to pay an assassin to try to kill Vladimir Putin, because [SPEAKER_08]: Not only is that really illegal and would end up putting me in prison, it would also be really bad because Vladimir Putin can read English. [SPEAKER_08]: So, you know, he would kind of be aware of that.
[SPEAKER_08]: There are certain things that you don't do in international politics as an average citizen. [SPEAKER_08]: And when a foreign country says, do not bring your airplane into our airspace. [SPEAKER_08]: We've told you already, and if you do, we will have to shoot you down. [SPEAKER_08]: And you decide to do it again. [SPEAKER_08]: My empathy level is reduced for what happens because you've done something that is really deadly.
[SPEAKER_08]: You were told it would be deadly and then you were killed. [SPEAKER_08]: I think that you probably would have been better if you stayed home that day. [SPEAKER_08]: And I think it would be better if the Cuban people had a better government. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm not going to lie about that. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm not going to say, oh, I love the question. [SPEAKER_08]: I don't. [SPEAKER_08]: But I think it would be better if the Russian people had somebody other than Putin.
[SPEAKER_08]: I think it would be better if the Israeli people had somebody better than Nanyahu. [SPEAKER_08]: I think it would be better if the Palestinian people did not have Moss. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: I think it would be better if the US people did not have Donald Trump. [SPEAKER_08]: I agree on all counts. [SPEAKER_08]: But I'm not going to get in a plane and go buzz somebody. [SPEAKER_08]: Right. [SPEAKER_08]: And try to, you know, whatever.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's just dumb, but that is the incident over which Jody 30 years ago. [SPEAKER_08]: This happened. [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, Raul Castro at the time was, I believe, the equivalent of the Secretary defense. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think so. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: So he's doing his job and they're like, nope, we're inviting you for killing us. [SPEAKER_08]: First of all, you're inviting somebody. [SPEAKER_08]: It's like trying to indict Vladimir Putin.
[SPEAKER_02]: Right until he steps foot in U.S. territory like it went on, I'm oh, basically. [SPEAKER_08]: Or an or an territory that would agree to enforce our right. [SPEAKER_08]: So that's not going to end second of all. [SPEAKER_02]: He's going to be 95. [SPEAKER_02]: Like what's the point at this point? [SPEAKER_08]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: A trial would take you long. [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, we got Maduro in New York, but that's that is what some of these people are saying is we are Maduro, so we could just go in and No, we shouldn't have Maduro either. [SPEAKER_08]: And well, and also here's the thing is that that was a lock shot. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: Nobody was expecting it. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: I do not agree with it being done. [SPEAKER_08]: I agree.
[SPEAKER_08]: But now everybody is expecting the United States to send their military forces in. [SPEAKER_08]: And that means that the next time that you're doing that, you are significantly increasing these statistical likelihood that the military members of the U.S. that you send in there, U.S. citizens will get hurt or killed, and I'm really not in favor of that. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, especially because he said 95-year-old man, what are you going to do?
[SPEAKER_02]: That's what greenlanders we're doing. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, putting boots on the ground in their own country going, yeah, if they show up here, we got them. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_08]: Cuba has already said, they don't have much right now, but they will not they're building solar farms at a very fast rate.
[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you, China with the help of China, which is actually making China stronger because it's giving China a foothold in this hemisphere. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, they're going to have farms here, so they're going to be fine. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm just like, just the corruption and the half-assadness of, hey, hey, everybody who's not half-assadness. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm at the bottom. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm at the bottom. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm at the bottom. [SPEAKER_08]: I love that.
[SPEAKER_08]: Right. [SPEAKER_08]: It's not a shirt today on a... [SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to guess. [SPEAKER_08]: Yep. [SPEAKER_07]: Now you have two stores, Mr. Bob says. [SPEAKER_07]: How you doing, Bob? [SPEAKER_07]: That's right, because one store isn't enough to contain the awesomeness. [SPEAKER_08]: Awesome. [SPEAKER_08]: Our products. [SPEAKER_08]: At your other store, they don't have the big mugs like this one. [SPEAKER_08]: So you had to get one that had the big mugs.
[SPEAKER_07]: That's right. [SPEAKER_07]: We've got 15 ounce mugs in the news as a store. [SPEAKER_07]: We've got 20 ounce mugs in the Zazzle store. [SPEAKER_07]: teeny tiny espresso cups too. [SPEAKER_07]: So... [SPEAKER_07]: We run the gamut of all the different sizes of caffeine beverage flasked. [SPEAKER_08]: So how's your Wednesday so far? [SPEAKER_07]: Not bad, yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: We could end up getting disconnected at some point because there's a major storm rolling on through.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, it's in my corner of the DC area. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh yeah, that's right. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: We just have fire. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, that's right. [SPEAKER_08]: See, Jody has fire and we have rain. [SPEAKER_08]: We are together James Taylor's on. [SPEAKER_02]: We are. [SPEAKER_07]: That's right. [SPEAKER_07]: Oh my god, I can't tell you the number of DJs I've known who have done horrible segways from a weather forecast into the song fire and rain.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, well, I mean, if you notice, that was actually a pretty good segue. [SPEAKER_07]: It was good segue. [SPEAKER_07]: That was a good segue. [SPEAKER_07]: It was good. [SPEAKER_07]: And we're kind of teasing. [SPEAKER_07]: That's it's in the context of a joke, but I know a lot of DJs who did that seriously. [SPEAKER_08]: No, I have to. [SPEAKER_08]: And I'm like, come on, you can do better than that. [SPEAKER_07]: You can do better than that.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's, that is, and I'm, it's not that I'm advocating for, for Trump and these morons to do better. [SPEAKER_08]: Because obviously, I wouldn't want, [SPEAKER_08]: but the level of corruption. [SPEAKER_08]: So we have come up with it, part of the name of this, by the way, Richard Chu, or WCPT, and AM-950, that we have Richard said this earlier today, and we agree. [SPEAKER_08]: This is reparations for insurrectionist traders. [SPEAKER_08]: It's not a settlement.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's reparations for insurrectionist traders. [SPEAKER_08]: Yep. [SPEAKER_07]: I like that framing. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: Because that's what it is. [SPEAKER_08]: And also if they say, well, we can't do reparations. [SPEAKER_08]: You go, you're doing reparations for insurrectionist traders. [SPEAKER_08]: Guys who went in attacked the US capital and wiped their crap on the walls.
[SPEAKER_08]: You can't tell me that you can't do reparations because you're trying to do it already. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: I think that's a great idea to call it that. [SPEAKER_07]: I also think it's a great idea to stop mentioning that it's $1.7 billion. [SPEAKER_07]: It's an unlimited slush fund. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_07]: There is no official document that establishes a ceiling of $1.776 billion.
[SPEAKER_07]: We should wrap our heads around the idea that this slush fund is going to be unlimited. [SPEAKER_07]: Whatever Donald Trump wants it to be, it could be [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, it could be our GDP at this point 30 trillion dollars and also remember what is it 1600 different insurrectionists were prosecuted for January 6. [SPEAKER_07]: Yes, that's just around 1.7 billion dollars provided that [SPEAKER_07]: And there would still be a surplus.
[SPEAKER_07]: That's how much money that actually is. [SPEAKER_07]: If we take it at things value that is $1.7. [SPEAKER_08]: But we know that some of these insurrectionists are pedophiles, because they have been caught in other crimes and conviction of these other crimes. [SPEAKER_02]: So we're gonna pay for their legal fees for the other crimes. [SPEAKER_08]: What, but also now the Donald Trump, you know, he's in favor of letting pedophiles get away with stuff. [SPEAKER_08]: That is true.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's right. [SPEAKER_02]: So it's his ilk. [SPEAKER_08]: The level of corruption is astounding. [SPEAKER_08]: So we understand you guys needing a little bit of a break to swallow that down and we will be making more jokes because well, that's what we do here at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_08]: So Bob Sesska obviously who makes great jokes and also great gear that you can get at Bob Sesska. [SPEAKER_02]: On at Bollroom. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, but at it, on at Bollroom.
[SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_08]: On at Bollroom. [SPEAKER_08]: On at Bollroom. [SPEAKER_08]: There you go. [SPEAKER_08]: There you go. [SPEAKER_08]: Bob is here for us with us for the rest of the night freshing your drink and come on back. [SPEAKER_08]: It's Wednesday night with Jody and Bob and me and you here at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_04]: We'll be right back after we pay some bills at the politics bar.
[SPEAKER_08]: The one, the only Bob Saska is here, I like to do the formal introduction for you, Bob, you know? [SPEAKER_07]: Yes, I appreciate it, and I was looking forward to it. [SPEAKER_07]: Like, what's the way they crowd a people shouting my name? [SPEAKER_08]: It's just, it was good having Charlie last week, but it's never quite the same without you. [SPEAKER_02]: We know what you do here last week, remember? [SPEAKER_02]: It came back from us. [SPEAKER_08]: That's right.
[SPEAKER_08]: I was here early. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it was your early, remember? [SPEAKER_08]: That's right. [SPEAKER_08]: See my brain is like, wait a minute. [SPEAKER_08]: He wasn't here in the foreclack out.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I thought you were going to take the day off because you said I can't do it and I was like Yeah, and you texted me when you tried politics once they afternoon last week and it fell through and So I was able to do your shows so I was shocked and like why didn't you just take it off? [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah Well, yeah, politics this week this Sunday.
[SPEAKER_08]: It is space seed [SPEAKER_07]: The origin of Khan, Nudian Singh, and then after that, the episode, Meery, which has the famous and very annoying line, bunk, bunk on the head, bunk, bunk. [SPEAKER_07]: That's an actual, I just recited an actual, I'm sure that wasn't Donald Trump. [SPEAKER_07]: Yes, right, Joey Louise. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they're just quoting him. [SPEAKER_02]: They were so in the future. [SPEAKER_02]: They were quoting him from the past. [SPEAKER_08]: That's right.
[SPEAKER_08]: They do have, they do have the whole timeline thing, especially in the newer Star Trek stuff that I'm going back and forth and yeah, that's right. [SPEAKER_08]: Look for those of you who are not subscribed, you should also subscribe to track politics.com as well as Bobzeska.com. [SPEAKER_08]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_08]: Look, it's easy. [SPEAKER_08]: It's simple. [SPEAKER_08]: We give people good value here at the politics bar, you do a Bobzeska.com as well.
[SPEAKER_08]: The Trump regime, however, not giving people good value for anything. [SPEAKER_08]: I am so pissed about this stupid reparations for traders fund. [SPEAKER_08]: I just, I can't believe we have a whole section today in the news on tap in the third round. [SPEAKER_08]: The talks about it. [SPEAKER_08]: A Trump DOJ official told a magma Republican ally that quote, big payouts and quote, we're coming for January insurrectionist as part of the new Trump quote-unquote settlement.
[SPEAKER_07]: Well, not if Harry Dunn can help it. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, he's doing, he's doing his fellow, God, who's, who's the other police officer who is suing with him? [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, I'm gonna tell you. [SPEAKER_08]: Hockes, Hockes. [SPEAKER_02]: What about the other guy who got hit? [SPEAKER_07]: No, no, he's he's not yet as a Dale Hodges and Harry Doug any Hodges in there. [SPEAKER_07]: I mean, I don't think they're going to be the only lawsuit.
[SPEAKER_07]: I think we're a numerous lawsuits. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, today, you have to ask you today, move to subpoena, bland and innocent and others behind this ridiculous reparation slush fund, Bart McQueen, we've got a great piece for her that that goes through talks about here's a big thing. [SPEAKER_08]: There are multiple laws that say you can't do this.
[SPEAKER_08]: the 14th Amendment section four and I quote neither the United States nor any states shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States and F.ing. [SPEAKER_08]: quote. [SPEAKER_08]: Yes. [SPEAKER_08]: Sorry, you don't get the money. [SPEAKER_08]: That's how that works, Jack. [SPEAKER_08]: That's right. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, I'm sorry, not you guys are not Jack asses. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm just, I'm mad at them.
[SPEAKER_07]: No, I know exactly what we're talking about, but I mean, it's just, I mean, it's beyond that. [SPEAKER_07]: It's the level of corruption here is unprecedented. [SPEAKER_07]: This is a heist. [SPEAKER_07]: This is Donald Trump stealing money, and we should assume that it's not just insurrectionists who will be getting this money. [SPEAKER_07]: We should assume that it's Donald Trump and the people around Donald Trump will get this money.
[SPEAKER_07]: Because there's gonna be no way of knowing what Todd Blanch made it clear yesterday. [SPEAKER_07]: that he doesn't have to reveal any identifying information about the recipients of this fund. [SPEAKER_08]: And so, and now there's a new add-on where they're saying the IRS is not allowed to audit.
[SPEAKER_08]: No audit ballroom and no audit this insurrection is fun either for anything that Trump or any of his family or anyone he's designated as it has done in the past or will do in the future. [SPEAKER_08]: Congratulations. [SPEAKER_08]: You want to commit a crime in the future, IRS cannot look at you according to. [SPEAKER_02]: And my question to Todd Blanche were I to be in the room.
[SPEAKER_02]: So if you, if Donald said, you know what, put this also in the demand that if I literally kill somebody on Fifth Avenue, I cannot be investigated for that. [SPEAKER_02]: Why not? [SPEAKER_02]: It's a crime. [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, yeah, right. [SPEAKER_07]: Right. [SPEAKER_07]: Well, that's the thing. [SPEAKER_07]: This whole idea of weaponization of DOJ or whatever Donald Trump keeps screaming about is really a trespass against the rule of law.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yes. [SPEAKER_07]: Yes. [SPEAKER_07]: Most of it, I mean, a whole lot of these insurrectionists, for example, pled guilty when they were, because they knew they were. [SPEAKER_07]: On trial. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: And even Stuart Rhodes, though, Stuart Rhodes and the other oathkeepers, they were commuted. [SPEAKER_02]: They weren't pardoned. [SPEAKER_02]: difference between them. [SPEAKER_02]: Correct. [SPEAKER_02]: So, they're still technically found guilty.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, by a jury. [SPEAKER_08]: That's just that all of these people were found guilty by juries. [SPEAKER_08]: Not all of them. [SPEAKER_02]: The ones of play guilty were not, but still. [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, but it wasn't, it wasn't the Biden. [SPEAKER_08]: It wasn't some Biden. [SPEAKER_08]: It wasn't Biden, for example. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, oh, by the way.
[SPEAKER_08]: we had a comment on that from uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh
[SPEAKER_07]: Well, by the way, I wanted to mention two before we get too much deeper into our talk here, is that that piece of paper issued by Todd Blanch the other day regarding Donald Trump and the IRS and audits and so forth, or it was basically Donald Trump and all of the all of the plaintiffs in this case are somehow immune for being auditor or being prosecuted for a magical touch of Asia and then like that. [SPEAKER_07]: That's that's not binding.
[SPEAKER_07]: No. [SPEAKER_07]: What are the acting attorney general says today has no bearing whatsoever? [SPEAKER_07]: That's not law. [SPEAKER_07]: No. [SPEAKER_07]: So if wind I should say wind Donald Trump leaves office because he will be leaving office in 2020. [SPEAKER_07]: I am relatively confident. [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, my God. [SPEAKER_08]: He goes first with the surgeries or degrees or degrees.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, but regardless though, if he does survive this term and leave office, [SPEAKER_07]: he can be prosecuted he can be audited there's nothing that stops the next attorney general or whatever attorney general gets appointed in twenty twenty nine from resuming audits of Donald Trump's finance right because this this memo is not been adjudicated [SPEAKER_07]: Right, that's, there's no law. [SPEAKER_07]: There's no congressional authority here.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's, you know, we're being a judge saying, yeah, that's fine. [SPEAKER_08]: That's the key that Barbara Quaid points out under her piece in the news on tap. [SPEAKER_08]: Is the fact that if this case had been, and that's just it. [SPEAKER_08]: Is that the judge said she was going to throw this case out. [SPEAKER_08]: She was going to win. [SPEAKER_08]: That's when Donald and his idiot's Mary band of morons said, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_08]: We're, we're pulling the case if a judge had made a decision one way or another. [SPEAKER_08]: then there was a possibility of illegal settlement because the settlement then has the force of law because it's been adjudicated as you said, Jody, there's a judges ruling on that. [SPEAKER_08]: But since the case, according to law, didn't actually really happen. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, it was dismissed with prejudice, meaning they cannot bring it back.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_08]: So, so it's this case doesn't exist and never can exist as a legal case. [SPEAKER_08]: And yet everything that they're trying to do to justify their ability to steal all of our money is based on the idea that there would be a settlement, but a settlement is only legal. [SPEAKER_08]: if there was a case that a judge agreed to the settlement, yes, you can't have it. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, this is what settlement says.
[SPEAKER_07]: Well, did you get somebody to okay? [SPEAKER_07]: No, but that's fine. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, Judge Williams said there is no settlement. [SPEAKER_07]: I mean literally that is a quote from the document that dismissed the case. [SPEAKER_07]: There is no settlement. [SPEAKER_07]: So what this is is, Donald saying to Todd Blanche, let's do this deal. [SPEAKER_07]: Let's do this thing. [SPEAKER_07]: It's Donald ordering
[SPEAKER_07]: the U.S. Treasury. [SPEAKER_07]: And by the way, a top Treasury lawyer designed yesterday, and I'm convinced it's connected to this slush fund. [SPEAKER_07]: It is. [SPEAKER_07]: You and because a bunch of people agree. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, absolutely. [SPEAKER_08]: And here's the thing.
[SPEAKER_08]: At base this is we had Glenn in here last night in the bar pop and you know I've I've mentioned how you know I like some things that Abigail Spanburgers doing, but I was a little mad because I thought that she should stand up a little more in Virginia law It says there's nothing higher than the will of the people there's the will of the people then there's the Virginia Supreme Court Then there's the the legislature then there's a governor or vice versa on the bottom to whatever
[SPEAKER_08]: and so in theory, she could follow what Ohio did. [SPEAKER_08]: Ohio was using an illegal congressional map. [SPEAKER_08]: Their map was ruled illegal by their own Supreme Court and yet because it's a Republican governor Republican House Republican Senate, they go, we're just going to keep using it. [SPEAKER_08]: What are you going to do about it? [SPEAKER_08]: Nothing.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: So, Spanford or could, but what Jody, what you've said, Jody and what Glenn said is, is that it's it's question rolling off and if we're going to [SPEAKER_08]: then we want us to be okay. [SPEAKER_08]: So then you say, well, is there any law about this particular ridiculous settlement, non-settlement that just reparations for traders? [SPEAKER_08]: And we all know, I mean, look, Barb, Ellie, all lawyers that we've had in the bar.
[SPEAKER_02]: The 14th Amendment. [SPEAKER_08]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: So then you say it's not, but then you go one step further and you go, where does he get off on thinking that he can take this money? [SPEAKER_08]: This is where Governor Josh Shapiro stepped in last night after he won his primary in Pennsylvania. [SPEAKER_08]: Here you should listen to this. [SPEAKER_05]: Think about the unmatched corruption of this president and his administration.
[SPEAKER_05]: They have built a government whose entire goal seems to be to help enrich his friends, his donors, and his own family, and then shield them all from paying the price for their illegal conduct. [SPEAKER_05]: It started on day one, you remember when he pardoned those who broke the law and assaulted cops in the capital on January 6th.
[SPEAKER_05]: Just yesterday, we learned that he would continue white-washing history by using your money to pay those who broke the law and betrayed our country from a new illegal billion dollar fund that he fleeced from the American taxpayer. [SPEAKER_07]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_05]: Somehow, [SPEAKER_05]: He can't find the money to pay for healthcare, but he can steal from you to pay off the criminals who stored the capital. [SPEAKER_02]: And spread their fleetsies everywhere.
[SPEAKER_02]: We had a Senator trying to clean that up. [SPEAKER_02]: I want to say it was Andy Kim, yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, from New Jersey. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: So this is, this is, um, um, if people think that Donald Trump and the Republicans give one [SPEAKER_08]: about them. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, there was a Republican today who actually admitted it. [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know if you saw this, Bob. [SPEAKER_08]: Republican vice chair in the House, Blake Moore.
[SPEAKER_08]: He was doing a song in dance on C. Span today. [SPEAKER_08]: Just a quick little five second thing here. [SPEAKER_00]: This is our Republican priority. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll always be to be putting government ahead of Americans. [SPEAKER_08]: Yikes. [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, if you're going to admit it, admit it. [SPEAKER_08]: You know, whatever. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I wanted to mention something about Abigail Spamberger.
[SPEAKER_07]: We should bear in mind, too, that Virginia governors are term-limited to one term. [SPEAKER_07]: Correct. [SPEAKER_07]: Wow. [SPEAKER_07]: So, you need to worry about running for reelection. [SPEAKER_02]: So, why don't you just do anything? [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: So, she's just, yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: So, she's just implement the map. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: And move forward that. [SPEAKER_08]: That was my position, Bob. [SPEAKER_08]: That was my position.
[SPEAKER_08]: But Glenn said, look, it is questionable enough. [SPEAKER_08]: as to be like, you know, and, and here's the thing is, is it worth the juice for the squeeze? [SPEAKER_08]: If you're looking at the numbers right now, we've got some numbers. [SPEAKER_08]: It happens to be in the first round of the news on tap, talking about the elections last night and the elections coming up.
[SPEAKER_08]: Poling USA says the latest polling models say Democratic candidates now lead in 52 Senate seat races and 233 House seats. [SPEAKER_08]: So, okay.
[SPEAKER_08]: let's say that we don't implement that map for Virginia you guys have had that map for a while so and right and they've said joddy that they're going to implement that map for 2028 so fine well we'll go through the process again and we'll make sure that it's done quote unquote correctly and we'll implement it for 2028 so whatever that's fine so that means for 2026 we [SPEAKER_02]: with the same map. [SPEAKER_08]: So right.
[SPEAKER_08]: So it's like maybe maybe we lose four, but if you look at where the polls are saying, Jody and I was saying this earlier, Bob, here is here is something for you to consider as a dream. [SPEAKER_08]: if the polls are right and and we get 70 or 80 percent turn out to people turn out like mad. [SPEAKER_08]: Can you imagine getting 67 in the Senate and say 300 in the house? [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, I can and then and then we name Kamala Harris the speaker of the house right before we can.
[SPEAKER_08]: Actually, you know what I would say. [SPEAKER_02]: This is what I say is you have Hakim be the speaker. [SPEAKER_02]: Donald and JD and then the Senate convicts right because his promises I'm not going to be president and then he resigns as a speaker and all the Dems and the House vote for Kamala Harris to be the new speaker and then she becomes president. [SPEAKER_02]: That way it doesn't look like he's trying to become president.
[SPEAKER_08]: right right and see and then she and then she picks to walls right and they then they immediately say just like we were saying about Abigail Spanberger they go you know what we're only going to be here two and a half years we are not going to run again so we will clear the field for all the Democrats and then they just go we have 67 in the Senate we have 300 in the House and we have two and a [SPEAKER_08]: Throttle up all the way let's go universe the base income.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, tax the rich fine universe a health care. [SPEAKER_08]: Let's go universal child care. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay [SPEAKER_07]: But yeah, I think that I think that series of actions are much more viable than some sort of end around to get Kamal Harris in the White House. [SPEAKER_07]: I think that is that would waste so much political capital that's insane. [SPEAKER_07]: Nothing else would get done Kamal Harris was just a dream. [SPEAKER_07]: I know it's just a dream.
[SPEAKER_07]: It's just a dream. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Put Hillary in and she says I'm not running and then Kamala rent. [SPEAKER_02]: Whatever. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: Look, Hillary, Hillary gets to be president and then combless her VP. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, my whole body's just the fact of the matter is, I don't see anything wrong with speaking these things into the air out there, into the ether. [SPEAKER_08]: My not.
[SPEAKER_08]: Because Republicans have been doing this for years and look at the damage they've done. [SPEAKER_08]: So you know what? [SPEAKER_08]: Let's tell people not to be afraid and go all out and if we go thronel up, we go thronel up. [SPEAKER_08]: So, I'm gonna do that. [SPEAKER_08]: Hey, can we have you stick around for one more? [SPEAKER_08]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_08]: Yes. [SPEAKER_08]: We've got Bob Cesca for you.
[SPEAKER_08]: What more around here on a Wednesday night at the politics bar fresh in your drink? [SPEAKER_08]: And we hope you guys are having a good time too. [SPEAKER_08]: Hangin' out with Jody and Bob and me and you. [SPEAKER_08]: And if you missed any of it, the more you better. [SPEAKER_08]: It's like a buck 25 a week, basically. [SPEAKER_08]: And since it is our birthday month, yesterday was our birthday, Bob, we're one. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, happy birthday. [SPEAKER_08]: This is great. [SPEAKER_08]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it's great. [SPEAKER_08]: Congratulations.
[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_08]: It's pretty cool. [SPEAKER_08]: We get it. [SPEAKER_08]: We're giving everybody a 10% discount, too. [SPEAKER_08]: Look, it's simple. [SPEAKER_08]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_08]: Go subscribe to the politics bar, that count. [SPEAKER_08]: We try to watch out for other people's money. [SPEAKER_08]: Unlike Donald, who has said he doesn't give a damn about it, and then he doubled down this weekend and said, no, no, I meant what I said. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a perfect quote. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, said, said from what he did. [SPEAKER_02]: Like the perfect phone call.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, oh my God. [SPEAKER_08]: And then, and then you've got the fact that they keep doing this, the stock trading thing. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, which we've been covering for a long, long time. [SPEAKER_07]: We've been talking about this forever, like Donald announcing something and then prior to that, maybe a learning. [SPEAKER_07]: You've been allies when you're being on that forever. [SPEAKER_08]: It's so clear now that they have all the evidence.
[SPEAKER_08]: They have the numbers. [SPEAKER_08]: They have the, he talked to these people and then this happened. [SPEAKER_02]: My favorite was the White House spokesperson going, Donald has no control over his companies. [SPEAKER_02]: His sons do. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_02]: He shouldn't know he was controlling that. [SPEAKER_07]: He should not know if it doesn't exist anymore. [SPEAKER_07]: Do you know the name of that?
[SPEAKER_08]: What is filling in for Kaka Kaka Carolina? [SPEAKER_00]: No, but she's worse. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I don't like her. [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know her name, but she's not. [SPEAKER_08]: She's worse. [SPEAKER_08]: Vance did not do any better the other day when he filled in. [SPEAKER_08]: It was ridiculous. [SPEAKER_02]: He defended Donald's stock trades. [SPEAKER_02]: It's like, oh, it's not like he's calling a stock broker. [SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't have to.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: Well, I think they're going to get away with this once again, because it's just it's not as easy to describe as slush fund or ballroom. [SPEAKER_07]: It's a lot more difficult. [SPEAKER_07]: And it ends up getting lost in the weeds in and among all of the other examples of growth. [SPEAKER_07]: There is a reason people barely know what crypto is, for example, and Donald's up to his eyeballs in billions in crypto.
[SPEAKER_07]: True. [SPEAKER_07]: All based around an ongoing scam based around fraud. [SPEAKER_07]: I mean, they're being sued for fraud over their crypto. [SPEAKER_07]: It's unbelievable, which is convicted of fraud. [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, of course he was. [SPEAKER_07]: So, in this case, he made unprecedented numbers of investments at the beginning of this year on through now.
[SPEAKER_07]: And it's not even when I say unprecedented, he's never done this before as president this number of investments and in these amounts and these amounts were disclosed not by some intrepid reporter somewhere or through a leak this is the office of government ethics right releasing this information.
[SPEAKER_08]: The official release that he has to do for the desert has to do every member of Congress has to do every 90 days release this we had a story I think it was was at Monday, Jody that that Wall Street traders were saying like 3,400 trades we don't we're professionals and we don't even do that I think somebody break it down to be like 40 or 50 trades a day and it's [SPEAKER_07]: insane like a million dollars in in video right before in video signs a deal with the commerce department.
[SPEAKER_07]: There's another massive investment in Palantir, which is Peter Teele's thing. [SPEAKER_07]: Right. [SPEAKER_07]: He's got all kinds of government contracts as well. [SPEAKER_07]: And Donald Trump meantime is talking up these companies with even including their stock ticker in his posts on truth-sensual.
[SPEAKER_07]: So this is there's this company called axon millions of dollars in investments and axon there they make tasers ice just into deal to buy up a whole bunch of tasers from contractors so it's one example after another of Donald Trump. [SPEAKER_07]: talking up a company or investing that company first, then talking up that company, then doing a deal with that company all within the course of seven days.
[SPEAKER_07]: So, and it's not just one instance of that, it's innumerable numbers of times. [SPEAKER_07]: And then we can go back all the way into 2018 and 2019 when we start to see these trades occurring. [SPEAKER_07]: where it was probably Donald, it was probably people around Donald Trump investing in these stocks and making a fortune because Donald knows the power of the bully pulpit.
[SPEAKER_07]: He knows that when he announces something or you know, he thinks some sort of new contract and whether it's his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh,
[SPEAKER_07]: Don Jr. and Eric Trump by their drone company power us or something like that. [SPEAKER_07]: So Donald Trump is making a fortune just based on trading stocks connected to government contracts and his own pronouncements. [SPEAKER_07]: It's unbelievable.
[SPEAKER_08]: gas now in all 50 states and definitely in the territories and yes is four dollars a gallon or higher, um, uh, uh, who was a Patrick de Hanna, uh, a gas buddy says that it is likely that gas will go above five dollars a gallon. [SPEAKER_08]: This summer unless they hurry up and get the straight form moves open, um, and the bond yields. [SPEAKER_08]: This is something that always watch the bond yields. [SPEAKER_08]: Mmm, Jody's right.
[SPEAKER_08]: Bond yields have hit their highest level since just before the great recession. [SPEAKER_02]: If I had money to invest in bonds right now, I would. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, but it's, I mean, this is just, we have a great piece for Michael Tomoski, too. [SPEAKER_08]: Over the New Republic, and just in the headline, it makes it clear. [SPEAKER_08]: When Will Americans realize the truth, Republicans always wreck the economy. [SPEAKER_08]: I know.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm like, wait a minute, I think Bob Saskas has said that more than once. [SPEAKER_02]: Certainly, it's been a long time. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you know, you got Eisenhower, I would have voted for him. [SPEAKER_02]: Good Republican, progressive Republican. [SPEAKER_07]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: Amazing. [SPEAKER_02]: After that, nope. [SPEAKER_07]: Right.
[SPEAKER_07]: The ongoing scam is always that Republicans are somehow fiscal hawks and they're better on the economy and it's none of it. [SPEAKER_07]: It's all disinformation. [SPEAKER_07]: And yeah, it's successful disinformation because they've got a lot of people to believe it. [SPEAKER_07]: And only now, it seems like there's some cracks forming in that nonsense.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, [SPEAKER_07]: because people are beginning to realize that they are terrible and Donald Trump is a great example. [SPEAKER_07]: I hope this notion dies that we need someone to come in as president who can run the government like a business, even though it is not a business. [SPEAKER_07]: And I hope Donald Trump just accuses all these people of believing that.
[SPEAKER_08]: I think we're always saying, I think we're almost same boat on that, that is absolute garbage because government and a business are too entirely different things. [SPEAKER_08]: The business is running for a profit unless it's for a, unless it's a not for profit business. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: And if it's a not for profit business, it has a specific goal. [SPEAKER_08]: Right.
[SPEAKER_08]: The goal of a government, we started talking about when we came into the bar today, Bob, is that government, the whole role of government is to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. [SPEAKER_08]: And that is, yes, it's kind of a in amorphous, non-specific, but that's literally, that's what governments are for, and this idea of, let's run it like a business. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, the thing that, that... [SPEAKER_02]: Tom Hartman brings this up a lot.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a two Santa Claus theory. [SPEAKER_02]: And that started around Reagan, where we're going to cut taxes for everybody. [SPEAKER_02]: They like not paying taxes. [SPEAKER_02]: Which means then we have to stop certain other things because we can't pay for things. [SPEAKER_02]: So it's a whole, and so we cut taxes and then the Democrats come in and go, wait, hold on a second. [SPEAKER_02]: We can't pay for your social security.
[SPEAKER_02]: We can't pay for this, that and the other thing. [SPEAKER_02]: D-holes, and then the Republicans come back and go see what they did. [SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, finally, people are learning that that is BS. [SPEAKER_08]: Right. [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: Democrats need to come in and do what Biden and Harris and the Democrats did when they came in from the pandemic. [SPEAKER_08]: They were expecting.
[SPEAKER_08]: We've talked to, I came over who we're talking to about this a couple weeks back, Joe. [SPEAKER_08]: Do you remember? [SPEAKER_08]: We were talking to somebody about this, how, [SPEAKER_08]: when Democrats came in after Donald Trump's first horrible regime and the Republicans were expecting to play the same game as they always have.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, we have it up and then you spend all your time cleaning up our mess and then you don't get to do the things you want to do and Joe and Kamala and the Democrats went, you know what?
[SPEAKER_08]: more done with that we're breaking a cycle we are tired of that BS so not only are we going to clean up your mess We are also going to invest in the country and we're going to do some of the things that Democrats have wanted us to do and Screw your Republicans and that's just how it's gonna be and they went wait wait wait wait wait wait wait That you're gonna play the game the way that we we decided the game goes in the past like and he barely had the Congress and Senate to do it
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, can you imagine we have a lot more sixty seven in a second you were saying that from from Nearly the beginning of the time that we open the bar jodie and I was like, I don't know and the closer we get the more I'm like, you know 67 it's possible. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not probable, but it's possible [SPEAKER_07]: Why not aim high anyway? [SPEAKER_07]: Why not set that as a legitimate goal to reach?
[SPEAKER_07]: And if we come up short, maybe it's a few more seats that we wouldn't have had otherwise. [SPEAKER_08]: Right. [SPEAKER_07]: So yeah, why not? [SPEAKER_08]: And Democrats should be competing everywhere, including an especially in rural areas. [SPEAKER_08]: Because look, farmers are sick of the fact that they've had to go through the entire spring planting season. [SPEAKER_08]: Most of them without enough fertilizer, trying to juggle their finances.
[SPEAKER_08]: There are a lot more farm bankruptcies than motorail is about to be scarce, like toilet paper. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: People are sick and tired of this Republican corruption and collusion. [SPEAKER_08]: And the fact that the only people who are doing well [SPEAKER_08]: are Republicans who already had money and we're already doing well to begin with.
[SPEAKER_02]: You mean like Mike Johnson who says they should be able to do stock trades because they only make $174,000 a year.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'd like to make [SPEAKER_08]: 50 grand a year at this point on so look as I first year we're still working our asses off and we're not there and and the fact is that Johnson is saying well it's okay For members of Congress to do insider trading because they only get 175,000 oh Only yeah, please but the Dow is the Dow is a 50,000 getting [SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's why we can't invest again any buddy in the Epstein files. [SPEAKER_08]: It's completely different.
[SPEAKER_08]: I understand, right? [SPEAKER_02]: Because if that was at $50,000. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to enjoy whatever happens with Pam Bonnie when she goes and testifies to the House Oversight Committee about the Epstein files. [SPEAKER_08]: She's going to, they've already said they're, the way they're going to do it and they're sticking to what they said they're going to do. [SPEAKER_08]: They're going to have actual lawyers like half dozen lawyers.
[SPEAKER_08]: that she doesn't know who they are. [SPEAKER_08]: And they had the questions from the members and the members are just gonna sit there and the lawyers are gonna be asking the questions. [SPEAKER_08]: And it's all gonna be behind closed doors. [SPEAKER_08]: And you know that there is no way that she's gonna have that no binder. [SPEAKER_08]: She's gonna be wider than Casper, the friendly ghost.
[SPEAKER_08]: She's gonna ball the bloods during gonna be drained from her face and she's gonna be, Hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
[SPEAKER_02]: That's the only reason she will not say anything is she's praying that Donald has a pardon ready for her. [SPEAKER_07]: Remember all. [SPEAKER_07]: I mean, talking about high stakes. [SPEAKER_07]: The fact that all these people are gambling. [SPEAKER_08]: We can investigate the the the partings. [SPEAKER_08]: He said we can do that. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, well, they're all gambling on Donald Trump's word, which is a huge colossal error to make.
[SPEAKER_07]: Anyone who takes Donald Trump at his word deserves to have the rug pulled out. [SPEAKER_02]: Can I start a prediction market bed on that? [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, well technically probably good right. [SPEAKER_07]: I'd love to see that.
[SPEAKER_02]: I might make some money Can we see what you're not that out of all I think I think they I think they stopped in Minnesota and I leather, but I mean world wide [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, yeah, find somewhere else that will take the bet because you know what and that is actually how do I do that I'm in it put that We can find the show Don't category, but fun to show on Donald's failures. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it's right For a few takes bar on the failures of Donald Trump under public.
[SPEAKER_02]: All right kids who knows how to do that because let me know [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, and also not only you could fund the politics bar, but you could also fund the Bob Cesska Yes, and of course, trekpots.com because these are these are things that should be funded and people should be listening Bob, we always love hanging out with you. [SPEAKER_08]: You're going to go hang over with him tomorrow, Jody, right? [SPEAKER_08]: Yes [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, there you go.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, Joe, you'll see tomorrow. [SPEAKER_08]: I will see you next week. [SPEAKER_08]: So Bob, thank you as always brother. [SPEAKER_08]: Thank you, sir. [SPEAKER_08]: I was going to see you next week. [SPEAKER_08]: See you next week, brother. [SPEAKER_08]: Tomorrow, it's going to be a Friday on a Thursday. [SPEAKER_08]: So we're going to have a few things and we're going to have Anita of True Blue Politics. [SPEAKER_08]: Karen's going to do her acts.
[SPEAKER_02]: Karen's going to do a thing. [SPEAKER_08]: But that's okay. [SPEAKER_08]: Look, Anita will be here. [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, John will be here. [SPEAKER_08]: Joe, you'll be here. [SPEAKER_08]: I'll be here. [SPEAKER_08]: And you guys will be here. [SPEAKER_08]: So, uh, get home safe. [SPEAKER_08]: And what we, we will see here tomorrow night.
