[SPEAKER_02]: I told you over the weekend I told you I went to a friend's memorial, which was beautiful. [SPEAKER_02]: And it was really lovely. [SPEAKER_02]: My friend Donnie Jammer is passed away in December, so his brother put on really lovely memorial. [SPEAKER_01]: Some great condolences to him and his family. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, thank you. [SPEAKER_01]: I was surprised at the number of people who passed away this weekend, famous people. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I saw that too, yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was like, I mean, we jump right down into that if we want to. [SPEAKER_01]: It's in the fifth round in the rest in P. So, Sunny Rollins legendaries. [SPEAKER_01]: So that's a phone colossus. [SPEAKER_01]: Also Dick Perry. [SPEAKER_01]: I heard he said so. [SPEAKER_01]: From Pink Floyd. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Rollins was 95. [SPEAKER_01]: Perry was 83. [SPEAKER_01]: So both of them had, you know, good set of years in there.

[SPEAKER_01]: But then you get some other people. [SPEAKER_01]: Doug McCain, oldest son of former senator John McCain. [SPEAKER_01]: And yes, you know, [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he was adopted. [SPEAKER_02]: I believe by a job again. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: He was, but, um, but still, you know, that's, it's, it's kind of sad. [SPEAKER_02]: He was only 66 and they haven't said how he died yet. [SPEAKER_01]: No, I have not heard that either. [SPEAKER_01]: Rob base.

[SPEAKER_01]: He was only 15. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: He had cancer. [SPEAKER_01]: That sucked. [SPEAKER_01]: And then the youngest one, Kyle Bush. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the race character, NASCAR driver, correct? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: There's only 41 died of severe pneumonia. [SPEAKER_01]: He had, you know, kept, oh, I got it taken care of.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then he went out and did a race and did this and did that and kept pushing [SPEAKER_02]: And another friend who's got, well, I don't know if it's pneumonia yet, but he's I'm getting my vaccine, maybe in July, because I'm having a physical in July and because I'm going to be 60 in January, she might just have me do it. [SPEAKER_02]: I just don't know why.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just like, just be gentle with yourself, if you're sick, if you're not, and you know, look, I would rather see people have more birthdays. [SPEAKER_01]: That's just it. [SPEAKER_01]: I used to joke. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not another birthday. [SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm like, no, really, have more birthdays. [SPEAKER_01]: Unless you're somebody that, [SPEAKER_01]: We don't necessarily like who is a complete idiot and keep stumbling through things.

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, God. [SPEAKER_02]: Do you hear him at the Arlington Bob Saskittita a thing with his audio at Arlington where he's reading and just couldn't pronounce words? [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I did hear a little of that, but I, you know, that's normal ones, it seems weird, but that is normal for him these days. [SPEAKER_02]: It's because he doesn't rehearse.

[SPEAKER_01]: no he doesn't he doesn't rehearse he doesn't read there are a number of people who have said that uh whatever glasses he has or just those cheap uh uh one times two times magnifiers you can see vs all greens and whatever but that he's pretty fristidious about making sure people don't see him with the glasses on of course that's just dumb like if you need him use them yeah and and i'm sure they spell things up phonetically for him at this point

[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he said he didn't know he said most people don't know that B is in the word dumb. [SPEAKER_02]: You might not. [SPEAKER_01]: I, that that's one where you're like, oh my, we're going to have to ask for Angela about that because that's just I. Yeah. [UNKNOWN]: Wow. [SPEAKER_01]: But the thing that did not surprise me was the, um, um, I don't want you want to call it. [SPEAKER_01]: Lucy with the football in the Middle East is nothing.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's what that's what we called it on Bob's show today. [SPEAKER_01]: well great minds. [SPEAKER_01]: First round of the news on tap today, Trump's Middle East mess.

[SPEAKER_01]: So Iran still says no deal is imminent despite the claims of progress in talks with the U.S. And of course it's not going to be imminent when we do things like violate the ceasefire, the ceasefire and threat and retaliation this morning, which was actually kind of more like last night kind of it's started depending on because it's Middle East time and anyway, but it's just [SPEAKER_01]: The pressure campaign has had no effects. [SPEAKER_01]: We've got stories on that in there.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the big problem that he still got is Netanyahu. [SPEAKER_01]: Netanyahu is basically saying, well, I'm going to keep hammering Lebanon. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to keep smackin' this around. [SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, and supposedly here, I think we talked about it was at last Thursday, I think, that Donnie and Baby had a little phone call. [SPEAKER_01]: And Baby's like, dude, you owe me to keep going on it. [SPEAKER_01]: And Donald's like, I'm getting killed on this.

[SPEAKER_01]: I need to, you know, be done with this. [SPEAKER_01]: And Baby's like, well, sucks to be you. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, and anything that the leaked deal over the weekend, basically was like, we're we're soft than we were. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's it is it is slightly less worse than the JCPOA, but the parameters of it are mostly the JCPOA.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's the same deal that Obama got except it doesn't have the black man's name on it, which is what we've been saying now for what couple months now that that would be the results. [SPEAKER_02]: But with the JCPOA, Iran didn't control the straight and wasn't going to, wasn't charging tolls or fees to go through there. [SPEAKER_02]: This was the one thing that I saw over the weekend. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it was Marco Rubio on a plane.

[SPEAKER_02]: So I didn't pull the audio because it had the, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: But Rubio was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was,

[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't quite been able to figure it out yet, but there seems to be some kind of tell, a little bit of a tell with Rubio, when you can tell that he's telling the truth, which means most of the rest of the time he's lying. [SPEAKER_01]: But, um, and he was saying on the plane that Russia and China have made it very clear, they are not going to be paying fees or tolls. [SPEAKER_01]: Of course not.

[SPEAKER_01]: But the way that shipping works, and I know this from when I worked for Liberian international, because of different, you can have a ship be owned by one, owned by somebody who won nation be flagged by another sort of secondary fees and things, and China and Russia don't want to deal with any of that horse garbage. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: which basically means there's not going to be fees.

[SPEAKER_01]: The simple thing would have been, when Dany was over in China and said, hey, you know, she could you help me with this, or you know, call his boss Vlad and say, hey, because China and Russia are not going to pay the fees. [SPEAKER_01]: That doesn't mean that Iran still isn't going. [SPEAKER_01]: You better do what I want or we're going to pay fees. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they're just, they're messy.

[SPEAKER_01]: And they're doing it and they're able to do it in part because we don't have anybody who's doing real diplomacy with them. [SPEAKER_01]: It's still, you know, they went to Jared, which I'm sorry that that's just, [SPEAKER_01]: It's just so stupid and I just, I'm like, it is not nearly as complicated, but it's just a pile of incredible stupidness.

[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey,

[SPEAKER_04]: Why am I having trouble hearing you? [SPEAKER_04]: Wait, so don't know. [SPEAKER_01]: Were you, were you somewhere important today? [SPEAKER_01]: Because, honestly, we're, we're like, you know, you must have been somewhere important today. [SPEAKER_01]: She's, she's, hang on, she's, she's, she's got to get her microphone here. [SPEAKER_01]: It's her ears aren't working. [SPEAKER_01]: She looks, she looks, what she looks fantastic. [SPEAKER_01]: She does.

[SPEAKER_02]: So, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so [SPEAKER_01]: She's like, yeah, I like it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I hear, I hear, you got it, you got it.

[SPEAKER_01]: You got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it,

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and I'm going to win, that's what I want to look like. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, you know, the fact of the matter is, is that, you know, you and Francis are both incredibly intelligent. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, also I would not want to piss you off because then I'd give my ass what, but I mean, how could you ever, how could either of you ever make us angry? [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, look at that, we love you for that. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we're just talking about how stupid the news.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we took four days, mostly off, stopped by the bar a couple of times, but mostly off. [SPEAKER_01]: And the pile of stupid, the one good thing was, is that I was expecting like a double pile of stupid, because normally we're off for two days for the weekend. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: You're like, no, this is just the average pile of stupid. [SPEAKER_01]: I think that's like somewhere around like Saturday afternoon, and they're like, whatever, fine.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I guess he had the stupidest of them all had a four hour doctor's appointment today, right? [SPEAKER_04]: Today, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So his third annual doctor's appointment in 13 months. [SPEAKER_01]: 13 months. [SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's not what I don't. [SPEAKER_01]: Is annual yearly? [SPEAKER_04]: Usually, you know what? [SPEAKER_04]: The way that I don't, I don't want a question the way that the calendar seems to work.

[SPEAKER_04]: And not, because it's clear to me that we're in some sort of, I don't know if it's an experiment. [SPEAKER_01]: Temperature. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, some sort of rift with things don't apply. [SPEAKER_04]: Like if everything starts floating right now, I wouldn't blink. [SPEAKER_04]: Same. [SPEAKER_04]: I'd be like, no, that makes sense. [SPEAKER_02]: Have you started watching the burrows? [SPEAKER_02]: It feels like that. [SPEAKER_04]: It's like that.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's like, okay, or our widows bay. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah, exactly like that. [SPEAKER_01]: It's like widows bay. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I just, but like I said, I was, I was happily. [SPEAKER_01]: I was pleasantly surprised. [SPEAKER_01]: I was like, okay, maybe after the crazy guy over the weekend. [SPEAKER_01]: So there, there was a crazy guy here over the weekend in DC. [SPEAKER_01]: Um, he was known to the secret service.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, the guy at the White House, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Right, he's sick of this incompetent. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, he had previously claimed that he was God. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm God. [SPEAKER_01]: Now, my good company. [SPEAKER_01]: True. [SPEAKER_01]: It's on the White House lawn. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, but then he went and he shot like he tried to go directly head on at a checkpoint, fired with the semi-automatic pistol. [SPEAKER_01]: I believe it was like 30 shots.

[SPEAKER_01]: And they, of course, you know, got rid of him. [SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, and Donald says because of that, that's why he needs ballroom. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry, but the first off, it was outside the White House. [SPEAKER_02]: Secondly, [SPEAKER_02]: Because the White House is so fortified, they got them before he could get any more close to any building on that property.

[SPEAKER_02]: And the other thing is like Angela and you were saying, the incompetence or the, I don't know, maybe they just don't like Donald, I don't know. [SPEAKER_02]: But the fact of the matters, they knew about the sky, I assume the FBI knew about the sky as well as the Secret Service. [SPEAKER_02]: They had arrested him prior to this.

[SPEAKER_04]: yet he's out and about and they're not they've got nothing really to hold them on as far as crime was like they care about that right like they care about having reasons to hold people and they're not like they're the keepsy bill of rights that you guys [SPEAKER_04]: I don't buy any of these assassination sites attempts not one of them and now they happen with the frequency of Can I get my money from my mom room? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they too.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't I don't necessarily think they're plots. [SPEAKER_01]: I just think because of the half-assism [SPEAKER_01]: as we call it around here, you know, half-ance post-fascism, the haze fascism. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's, look, they don't need to be scheduled in these things. [SPEAKER_01]: They're just like, oh, well, they happen. [SPEAKER_01]: Because everybody hates the orange man, or at least most people do.

[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people who are pissed at it, right. [SPEAKER_01]: And then they, if they go, ah, well, you know, I mean, if it hits him and hits him, whatever, we got this time. [SPEAKER_04]: It's just weird to me that nobody who hates him ever does target practice. [SPEAKER_01]: Or... [SPEAKER_04]: Thanks for the thorough plan, Angel Louise, and then I've never want or call for such a thing. [SPEAKER_03]: I have more violence.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm just talking about the lack of education, stick to itiveness that I see in Americans today. [SPEAKER_04]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_04]: And how distressing it is to see people not, I thought America was like, We gotta take a break. [SPEAKER_04]: We'll come right back to more violence. [SPEAKER_05]: There's plenty of stupid out there to be. [SPEAKER_05]: We'd pay some bills at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_01]: It is Tuesday night. [SPEAKER_01]: I know, it feels like Monday.

[SPEAKER_01]: Trust me, it's Tuesday. [SPEAKER_01]: We have the legendary Angela McInner board. [SPEAKER_01]: Francis Joy and Angela because, and look at this, they are, they are all sphift after. [SPEAKER_01]: It is the law firm of what you talking about, I can't go as if you don't. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we do not. [SPEAKER_01]: We do not. [SPEAKER_01]: We do not. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you I do not. [SPEAKER_01]: I like that. [SPEAKER_01]: I like that. [SPEAKER_01]: We do not.

[SPEAKER_01]: Even better. [SPEAKER_01]: Look, it's a smart name. [SPEAKER_01]: I mind what's done. [SPEAKER_01]: But I am just, I'm glad you guys are here, especially because the news that came back from the weekend, I mean, it was dumb. [SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't like, it wasn't like, it wasn't like, it wasn't like, it wasn't like [SPEAKER_01]: Unusually dumb. [SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't unusually damaging. [SPEAKER_01]: You're like, you know, you hear any of the stories and you're going to do it.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's something you're trying to say that's like, oh, it was kind of positive because there wasn't a catastrophe. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, look, it could be a lot worse. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, all those people, I hate it when somebody goes around and says, you know, it couldn't be worse. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, do you agree with me? [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: What's I'm talking about?

[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no, no, [SPEAKER_03]: It is walking around, you know what, who'd that reminds me of that 27% that lives exactly where the economy is. [SPEAKER_01]: I can't even believe how bad he keeps doing on the economy and the Republicans too and they just keep letting him do it. [SPEAKER_02]: And Mike Johnson, I think Mike Johnson who said, yeah, you know, it's a kitchen table election. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, it is. [SPEAKER_02]: Prices are up. [SPEAKER_02]: It is a kitchen table.

[SPEAKER_02]: You are screwing it up. [SPEAKER_02]: Speaker in air quotes Johnson. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, Tony Johnson has some issues. [SPEAKER_01]: He couldn't even, he couldn't even last week. [SPEAKER_01]: Johnson had to cancel the house vote on the Iran War Powers Act, because he was going to get his ass kicked. [SPEAKER_01]: So he was like, oh, like Thursday, what was it?

[SPEAKER_01]: Like it was, I think right as we were getting in the bar on Thursday, he was like, um, never mind everybody gets the way. [SPEAKER_02]: Who's the majority whip? [SPEAKER_02]: Because that's a person that's supposed to whip the vote. [SPEAKER_02]: So who's that? [SPEAKER_02]: Is it Steve Scalice? [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: Correct. [SPEAKER_03]: And it's police is always like, we ain't got the votes. [SPEAKER_03]: Let me see. [SPEAKER_03]: Because you can't.

[SPEAKER_03]: He knows how to count. [SPEAKER_03]: Let me see. [SPEAKER_03]: We got them votes. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, both votes? [SPEAKER_03]: We ain't got those votes. [SPEAKER_01]: I just, but that's what I'm saying. [SPEAKER_01]: I keep, I try to, I try to keep positive. [SPEAKER_01]: I try to be, you know, let's keep, let's look for the silver lining. [SPEAKER_01]: And the silver lining was, it wasn't something like there was a shark NATO in Alabama.

[SPEAKER_01]: There, you know, it was more like, well, one of the stories that came from Alabama, we love it. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Um, it was the fact that the timing is, like, with really, that was really well done. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I, I, I, I credit Jody with that, but uh, the, the, the three judge appeals court in Alabama.

[SPEAKER_01]: Took that, that, that, remember the, the Republicans down there, when they were putting through another map, it was going to be racist as hell. [SPEAKER_01]: It's literally the same, they turned in the same homework from 2023, literally the same stupid ass homework and this panel of appeal court judges, which by the way, two of them were appointed by Trump.

[SPEAKER_01]: They were like, yeah, no, in 2023 we had like four reasons to reject this and we gave you one because that's all we needed, so yeah, no. [SPEAKER_01]: Here's one of the other reasons that we didn't use before. [SPEAKER_01]: Have a nice day. [SPEAKER_01]: It's just, it's, what is it, it's, it's the literal language is intentionally discriminatory. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, and it's racist. [SPEAKER_02]: The thing is, is their maps are already jerry-mounted.

[SPEAKER_02]: So it would have been a dummy-mander as Hakeem Jeffries and others are saying, like in Florida and like in Texas. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Texas, the Latino vote that voted for Donald, that are now in new even redder districts, [SPEAKER_01]: they're going to vote for Jimmy Telerico. [SPEAKER_02]: I think so. [SPEAKER_01]: They're going to stay home. [SPEAKER_02]: Or they're going to stay home.

[SPEAKER_01]: But I can't wait till Jasmine Crocket goes and actually campaigns with Telerico. [SPEAKER_01]: That's going to be huge. [SPEAKER_01]: That's going to be like in a bomb a level rally. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be. [SPEAKER_03]: You know. [SPEAKER_03]: Jasmine and Croquette is now swiftly becoming a bigger star. [SPEAKER_03]: How can you supernova out of a supernova, you know, and she's in art. [SPEAKER_03]: She's in art. [SPEAKER_02]: Our governor's election.

[SPEAKER_02]: She's supporting Bessera. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, yes. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, get it. [SPEAKER_03]: The country needs, like we needed to stay see atoms, you know?

[SPEAKER_03]: A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A-Brums, A [SPEAKER_01]: That's true. [SPEAKER_01]: It's always, there's no pants. [SPEAKER_02]: It's always no pants Tuesday.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you guys just have a little kitty pants below the, yeah, I mean, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, because on, you know, yeah, big socks. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't, I don't judge anybody. [SPEAKER_01]: Hello, kitty pants. [SPEAKER_01]: So socks and you know, I'm good with it. [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever, you know, it's Tuesday night. [SPEAKER_03]: Way into Tokyo, Dokey. [SPEAKER_01]: I keep trying to focus, especially because we Democrats have, we have this tendency to focus on the negative.

[SPEAKER_01]: We have, oh, we can y'all call it e-org, you know, like Poo's friend. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, Poo, this sucks, it's like, dude, stop it. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I can't remember where to mention it, this South Carolina Republicans today.

[SPEAKER_01]: they stopped the map to they did we told them was it didn't have a quorum yeah was it two weeks ago yeah that that that that's how they're like six six Republicans this afternoon and we're like if we do this map [SPEAKER_01]: We're going to get our asses kicked even worse than we're already kicking, because people get really pissed about. [SPEAKER_01]: They want to pick their election head. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they don't. [SPEAKER_04]: Right. [SPEAKER_04]: It's weird.

[SPEAKER_04]: People want to vote for the people they want to vote for. [SPEAKER_04]: Yes. [SPEAKER_04]: And they want those people to represent them. [SPEAKER_04]: That is what we were told with the procedure. [SPEAKER_04]: And what's funny is let me tell you something about the new, new, new, new, new America. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, the new, new, new America that you know what? [SPEAKER_03]: That is an idea.

[SPEAKER_03]: And watch, because what you see, when I am watching elected officials work tirelessly to try to make sure that we don't have access to our voting rights and to get rid of them. [SPEAKER_03]: There's a whole party in entire group of people who say, I don't want America that you remember, that you were taught to believe in, that you are practicing, we're not practicing that anymore. [SPEAKER_03]: What we are practicing is this new thing.

[SPEAKER_03]: And in this new thing, black people don't get representation, right? [SPEAKER_03]: Brown people get kicked out this country. [SPEAKER_03]: Women don't have representation over their bodies. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, that is the American we're living in right now. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, what's interesting though is Jerry Manoring has been going on forever. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: But working now.

[SPEAKER_02]: Well, but most people up until this year had no idea what was going on now after Texas in California and Louisiana and Tennessee and Virginia and May perhaps Illinois too. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, all of these places are talking about it. [SPEAKER_02]: People that never even knew what that meant are like, [SPEAKER_02]: I have to care now. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: What you really do. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: And including the domestic case.

[SPEAKER_04]: Democrats have taken the black their base. [SPEAKER_04]: I've been continually tried to behave like their base was a bunch of racist white men. [SPEAKER_04]: And it's not. [SPEAKER_04]: And I don't know why the party is always trying to recruit at clan rallies. [SPEAKER_04]: I don't get it. [SPEAKER_04]: But the idea that Joe the Plumber is the thing keeping you in power has always been a racist lie. [SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely.

[SPEAKER_04]: And it's, and it's the idea that now the Democrat party's like, we, oh, wait a minute now. [SPEAKER_04]: You can't disenfranchise Black people. [SPEAKER_04]: No, you're disenfranchising voters. [SPEAKER_04]: Right. [SPEAKER_04]: All color. [SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_04]: Don't want voting. [SPEAKER_04]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: That's right.

[SPEAKER_01]: It is, it is definitely interesting watching the, I think the Democratic party is in as much as possible, making a transition towards, even hockey is. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm saying again. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_03]: I miss that. [SPEAKER_01]: No, I think the Democratic party is making a change towards new leadership. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm a shift.

[SPEAKER_01]: It is, it's, it's subtle, but I can definitely see [SPEAKER_02]: Well, Cory Booker is talking about it, too, in the Senate. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want the week, I came and I don't want the week Cory Booker. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, I've known Cory Booker. [SPEAKER_01]: I like when Cory Booker is angry, he's great. [SPEAKER_01]: Like when he didn't get that filibuster, when Cory Booker is angry. [SPEAKER_01]: And he's angry right now.

[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I don't want them to be, not I don't want them to feel like I can't be an angry black man. [SPEAKER_01]: Are you angry? [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: Are you a black man? [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: Then by God being angry black man. [SPEAKER_01]: I see every reason to be an angry black man. [SPEAKER_01]: And then I don't get caught. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: No. [SPEAKER_01]: No. [SPEAKER_01]: And I don't.

[SPEAKER_04]: I really would like to see younger leadership. [SPEAKER_04]: I'd like to see more more demonstratively, but we need, we need a wartime conciliary. [SPEAKER_04]: You are actually correct. [SPEAKER_04]: We do not need peacetime conciliaries. [SPEAKER_04]: This is not. [SPEAKER_01]: This is not. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, we tried their way. [SPEAKER_01]: We tried to be nice for what the last 40 some years. [SPEAKER_04]: We tried to be nice.

[SPEAKER_01]: And it reminds me, I mean, there are people who will still trash the West Wing, but I love the West Wing. [SPEAKER_01]: And it reminds me of one that had the shutdown in the West Wing. [SPEAKER_01]: And President Bartlett meets with Speaker Haffley. [SPEAKER_01]: I always thought his name should have been Haff asked. [SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, and it meets with Haffley. [SPEAKER_01]: And he says, look, [SPEAKER_01]: You gave us a number, we met you halfway.

[SPEAKER_01]: You got to halfway and you wanted us to meet you halfway again. [SPEAKER_01]: No, right, no, that's it. [SPEAKER_01]: We tried it your way. [SPEAKER_01]: Now we're gonna do it our way. [SPEAKER_01]: And I think the Democratic Party is long past the time where we need to be saying that about all kinds of things, about voting, about, but you all see what Mamdeni is doing with the, he's gonna help build some affordable housing now.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, and more sure he stores and other things because when we think outside of the box when we stop doing this but we've got to get 60 votes and we've got to get this committee to address it into study it like we have this information just you know we think of things their dynamic and do them well I mean if anybody talks to me about incremental change ever again I'm going to move my mom donny does have a city council that is behind him a hundred percent

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yes, and a governor that's also behind him and so Democratic Party was not kind to mom Donnie. [SPEAKER_04]: No, they were not at all. [SPEAKER_04]: They did not want to embrace him. [SPEAKER_04]: And that's my, that is the issue I have with this leadership. [SPEAKER_04]: Is that they are stuck in very outmoded ways of thinking. [SPEAKER_04]: They are stuck in fighting fire with little cups of water that they ask if they can throw.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's not, no more, I love Jamie Raskin, but if he writes another letter. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm on and lose my mind. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's all he can unfortunately do right now. [SPEAKER_04]: But is it though? [SPEAKER_04]: Because I look at people like Catabagots. [SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: And they, this is what I've been saying, Francis, I've been saying for the last year, which is instead of using DNC instead of using that list to text me all day long for money for campaigns. [SPEAKER_04]: Why don't you use it to organize us? [SPEAKER_04]: Why don't you use it to create community organizations that can fight back on the community level? [SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_04]: Why don't you use us to get us involved?

[SPEAKER_04]: But instead, they're stuck in this, we shouldn't don't leters and requests for finance. [SPEAKER_04]: They listen to consultants. [SPEAKER_04]: They listen to consultants when they hire. [SPEAKER_03]: I have to throw into the... [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you to the government. [SPEAKER_04]: Same. [SPEAKER_04]: They do. [SPEAKER_03]: They do. [SPEAKER_03]: We create. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm just creating waste and spending the money on waste.

[SPEAKER_03]: It feels like a kickback on a kickback. [SPEAKER_03]: It's a kickback. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, look, they need to be done in general with consultants and just and say well I don't have a problem with them as long as they are aware of what's going on unlike poor Kamala Harris was listening to old school democratic consultants. [SPEAKER_02]: during her campaign. [SPEAKER_02]: Had she just listened to herself. [SPEAKER_01]: Seven days, she was going as fast as she pops.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I can't think she had. [SPEAKER_01]: And she had, and so she, you have to bring in some, no, and I don't understand some of it. [SPEAKER_01]: Always. [SPEAKER_01]: No, I get that. [SPEAKER_02]: I understand it. [SPEAKER_02]: But they were too timid about who she was. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you know what I think the reality, though, of all of this is the same reality that, again, the Democratic Party has a really hard time recognizing, which is her biggest problems with it.

[SPEAKER_04]: She was a black woman. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no, that was her biggest problem. [SPEAKER_01]: And I think that that wasn't going to end. [SPEAKER_01]: I thought that that was one of her biggest benefits. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but you know what, mostly the white people did not. [SPEAKER_04]: No, you are correct. [SPEAKER_04]: You are correct.

[SPEAKER_04]: And that is, and I think the idea that these people lost that Hillary, the most qualified candidate ever in our history, that Hillary lost because it was Hillary or because of this or because of that, this country is so wildly racist and misogynists that it was the only way, [SPEAKER_04]: Who said it?

[SPEAKER_04]: Was it Gerald Ford or so a kid asked him a little girl asked him if a woman would ever be president and he said I think it will I know it will happen, but I think the way it'll happen is there'll be a person who's president who makes up a woman a vice president and then that president will die in Office or will Some I will retire and then that woman will become president and then people will get kind of used to it and they'll be able to run and you know He was a smart man

[SPEAKER_04]: This is what I think it was Gerald Ford and it's like it's absolutely the case. [SPEAKER_04]: If there's a mistake here and I can't call it a mistake because people forced by and out of the race. [SPEAKER_04]: If he had known he wasn't going to run again. [SPEAKER_04]: That's different. [SPEAKER_04]: He could have been putting her out there early and that's early. [SPEAKER_04]: to get to get out in people's faces.

[SPEAKER_04]: And I think quite frankly, he might have retired just before he was supposed to get her in that chair and get her in that office. [SPEAKER_01]: And one of the things we've been saying for a long time here, since, by the way, we're one y'all. [SPEAKER_01]: We're, we're more than one year old. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we're this many years. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we're this many years. [SPEAKER_01]: We can't have that. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we can't have that.

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we can't have that. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we can't have that. [SPEAKER_01]: We can't have it. [SPEAKER_01]: We can't have it. [SPEAKER_01]: We can't have it. [SPEAKER_01]: We can't have it. [SPEAKER_02]: We can't have it. [SPEAKER_02]: We can't have it. [SPEAKER_02]: We can't have it. [SPEAKER_02]: We can't have it. [SPEAKER_02]: We can't have it. [SPEAKER_02]: We can't have it. [SPEAKER_02]: We can't have it. [SPEAKER_02]: We can't have it.

[SPEAKER_01]: I've been saying that people especially democratic voters people who are Democrats but also independence and also people like Michael steal God love him, but you need to know he's got a problem. [SPEAKER_01]: He needs to check out the plan out. [SPEAKER_01]: We get comfortable with being uncomfortable. [SPEAKER_01]: And I think one of the reasons that Joe stuck around so long in there is because he was like, well, who else are you going to get?

[SPEAKER_01]: And everybody else says, well, you'll have to take a risk. [SPEAKER_01]: We're going to have to take a risk. [SPEAKER_01]: We're to the point where we need to take a risk. [SPEAKER_01]: But you know what, I'm okay with it because yeah, I believe in us. [SPEAKER_01]: I believe that we can win. [SPEAKER_01]: I believe that we can make things better. [SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm like, let's take a few risks because the way we've been doing it, doesn't know we're getting more.

[SPEAKER_01]: No, it does not. [SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not. [SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not. [SPEAKER_01]: Of the option. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: No, exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not, I'm not in a mind with that. [SPEAKER_01]: Can we have you guys round for another route for one more route, at least? [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_01]: Francis and Angela.

[SPEAKER_01]: And what were you guys saying in the break here, Joe, you were saying something about the fact that you'd sent them idiots and I'm like, wait a minute, no, no, no, no, no, no. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, don't, we don't need any more. [SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, no, actually idiots, but idiots stories. [SPEAKER_04]: Okay. [SPEAKER_04]: The people submit stories of stupid.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we don't even look them up. [SPEAKER_01]: It was just the way that it was just the way she sent it. [SPEAKER_01]: It was like I sent them idiots. [SPEAKER_01]: Like [SPEAKER_04]: You know what though she would be right to send them to us because we work on the ability Well Saints read justice.

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean you got Saints read justice That's our hospital Saints read justice That's our hospital right right But we don't do much, you know There's no you have to prove that you're worthy of air.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, okay, but but and we do law so there's the two laws I love So so so tell me the whole and then in the presence of the the Cali or Helen ski [SPEAKER_02]: Institute, so tell me about these idiots that that were that you said that Oh, no, no, no, that it's for their show.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh Okay, okay You know, I'm not even a little stupid stories like I can take one of my favorite and any of the week I love any of the way clear, but yeah one of my favorite idiot stories of all time was this man Mavericks this man Who went to this bar called Mavericks and it said you don't you know, okay, he went there one night. [SPEAKER_04]: He got in the fight and lost an eye [SPEAKER_03]: and then he came back to the same bar. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, unfortunately.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, see, I can't even say that. [SPEAKER_04]: Because he doesn't, you're gonna find out. [SPEAKER_04]: And so he came back like a month later, and lost the other eye. [SPEAKER_04]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_04]: And he chose to do that. [SPEAKER_04]: Respect eyes. [SPEAKER_04]: If that's also, are your eyes loose? [SPEAKER_03]: Like why? [SPEAKER_04]: I've never known anybody to lose an eye in a fight didn't didn't have decent pairs.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's all fun in games. [SPEAKER_04]: That's like a fight or like a vitamin deficiency, but like it just It's like my car tuna

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to tell you what my mama would say. [SPEAKER_03]: My mama would say you better go back out this house. [SPEAKER_03]: We'll back down that street. [SPEAKER_03]: Get your eyes right back, clean it off, put it back on the home with the hose on the outside of the house because they'll be bringing a little bit of a dirty mess up and here, a little bit of the house. [SPEAKER_04]: when I come home for work that better be up in your head. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, this is baby.

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, hey, this is why my black friends always said, my mom, this is like, you know, five foot white woman, German parents, um, um, and yet they were like, are you sure that she doesn't have any black on her? [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to say some German. [SPEAKER_04]: She German, yeah, that's, that's, that's a different kind of rock. [SPEAKER_01]: Walking in the kitchen is a kid, you know, and the, you know, trash needs be taken out.

[SPEAKER_01]: And she just raise a hand and she looks at me and she says, you know, uh, some of the effect of, uh, you blind. [SPEAKER_01]: And I, uh, no, she said, you want to be? [SPEAKER_01]: I will take care of it. [SPEAKER_01]: Right, right, right, right. [SPEAKER_01]: This is right. [SPEAKER_01]: She's looking at me. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going, this, I, I tell her, and my friends are like, are you sure your mom isn't black?

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, I'm telling you, she's, you know, that's German. [SPEAKER_01]: That's German. [SPEAKER_01]: Right, that's very German. [SPEAKER_01]: That's German. [SPEAKER_04]: This is woman who does this impression of her mother, her German mother, on TikTok that I love. [SPEAKER_04]: She's always like, her mom is always doing some crazy hiking and calling everybody fat. [SPEAKER_04]: And just like, oh, I love her. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm exactly what you're talking about.

[SPEAKER_04]: Just look, oh, I don't know her. [SPEAKER_04]: I brought her lunch. [SPEAKER_04]: It's a tangerine. [SPEAKER_04]: And she eats one piece of tangerine. [SPEAKER_04]: And it's like, I thought, oh, I'm so fat. [SPEAKER_04]: You're going to have to roll me down the hill. [SPEAKER_04]: You know, hey, just merciless. [SPEAKER_04]: Why do you dress so ugly?

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just

[SPEAKER_01]: He, uh, Tuck, uh, like, uh, Beavis. [SPEAKER_01]: This. [SPEAKER_01]: He, uh, he talks like, beavis. [SPEAKER_01]: Just like beavis. [SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm like great. [SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to run into somebody with a German accent who sounds like beavis and be like, oh, you know my brother. [SPEAKER_01]: Great. [SPEAKER_02]: And he moved there for help.

[SPEAKER_01]: Resets correct and this and this brings us back to some of the some of the stuff that obviously Congress is not doing you right Jody Yeah, he moved there because he's got Crohn's disease just the medication alone without having to see doctors Visits 85 grand a year That's what will be he's paying across across across for me and he's like and he so he says the matter is insanity

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, interest does cover it, but still it has premiums or higher and yati adi Yeah, you have to have a right job, and then if you don't have the right job You have to be the right state that maybe they're supporting the ACA or maybe they're not Right, you're like this ruled by this. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's what's Yeah, he's improving your German.

[SPEAKER_01]: He and Ray's health care channel our art exactly [SPEAKER_01]: we have this text channel with my siblings and and he's this weekend and he's like I'm enjoying this and I'm messaging him like so you're thinking about your health and he's like I haven't thought about my health care one in here and I've been to the dog and it's like He's he is not waking up every day going crap. [SPEAKER_01]: What do I got to do today to make sure that I can pay for my turn?

[SPEAKER_02]: Can I afford how to stay alive comfortably? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah [SPEAKER_01]: And instead he went to like a brand fair, Renaissance fair, they went to this little town where like, uh, we had been talking because looked upon ancestry and was like, oh yeah, like, uh, I think it's one of my mom's, like, great grandparents or something was from there. [SPEAKER_01]: He's like, oh yeah, whatever. [SPEAKER_01]: They haven't like here. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yo, he's now he's learning Swedish. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, he wants to learn multiple different lines. [SPEAKER_01]: That's wonderful. [SPEAKER_04]: And it's just to me how you can, this America's great, is it? [SPEAKER_04]: Like, because people who Americans have to leave to live their lives. [SPEAKER_01]: That's not a dream. [SPEAKER_01]: The American Dream still exists. [SPEAKER_01]: It just moved to Europe. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, I have friends of ours that move to Portugal about a year ago. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Portugal's a lot of Maxwell's living in Italy, living her best life. [SPEAKER_01]: Even though she's got her show on Series XM in the morning and she's like, Oh, yeah, I love it over here. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, people are, leave everybody and yet they're still voting. [SPEAKER_01]: They're still staying active in the vote to do everything they can to keep things changed.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's why they want mail-in voting stopped. [SPEAKER_02]: Uh-huh. [SPEAKER_01]: That's true, too. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, expats that are Democrats that live, yeah, absolutely. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but I just, the things that they, and the fact that this Trump regime keeps screwing things up and not being able to do stuff makes me feel, you know, it makes me feel positive. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad that they are so half ass, um, this thing.

[SPEAKER_01]: God, uh, election in Texas, which I think that polls are closed by this point, but, um, uh, they're picking between [SPEAKER_04]: And Paxton, I'm sorry, it's just because, I mean, like, Paxton is so, so amazingly corrupt and wrong, like that, you get Republican, your own party to be like, you have to go, that's really, they haven't done that to a bunch of pedophiles. [SPEAKER_04]: Right, this is like, I find it, he is, I mean, you go, Paxton.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's right, they deserve you, I mean, of course Trump backs him. [SPEAKER_02]: Corned is bad, but he's not Ken Paxton. [SPEAKER_04]: No, no, but I mean, this is we're picking between, you know, just like different brands of garbage. [SPEAKER_03]: You know, like this guy a bit different than his man. [SPEAKER_01]: We, like they did, I needed San Antonio joins us usually with Karen from the True Blue politics podcast on Friday and Anita lives down in San Atlanta.

[SPEAKER_01]: She says and she, she actually, she and her husband got married by quite a long point when he was a judge.

[SPEAKER_04]: right right so she so she kind of knows a little bit and she's like he used he basically he's he's kissing up to trump in these kinds of ways because you just want to keep his job right yeah that's what the S.S. did like I literally I cannot I cannot hear that you know they just what they say privately I don't care what you say privately privately does me no good exactly yeah I can't you did I look at that and go

[SPEAKER_01]: that you look at Paxton and he's what what was he he slept with one woman that wasn't his wife and then he cheated on a woman He was cheating on his wife with another woman. [SPEAKER_04]: I think and when your wife divorces you for biblical reasons [SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_01]: That's what she did. [SPEAKER_01]: That's what she said on the state senator. [SPEAKER_01]: She's also in the state of Texas and she's like, you know, what is going to be messy, but let's get into it.

[SPEAKER_02]: And he almost got impeached. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: It's just that is, Francis is 100% right. [SPEAKER_04]: That is the candidate they deserve. [SPEAKER_04]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm [SPEAKER_01]: And inevitably, it's one of two.

[SPEAKER_01]: They're like, well, I know that passion is a criminal and a fraud and a liar and a scammer and a bastard and an a-hole. [SPEAKER_01]: But Donald said to vote for him, or they say all those things, and they say, and that's why I voted for Corning. [SPEAKER_01]: And you're going to be like, look at two of them just back for you.

[SPEAKER_01]: Wow. [SPEAKER_04]: You know, that's because you don't speak [SPEAKER_04]: We understand we are fluent we understand the language and I think the thing that people keep refusing to hear is that these people are just stone cold races Yes, that is what they are That's what the vote is The vote is do I hate light or do I hate hard? [SPEAKER_03]: Which one do I want to vote for? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean the runoff is today just the Republicans because Telerico did.

[SPEAKER_01]: And the Archive Democratic runoff too, but they're both good candidates like, uh, uh, what's your name against, uh, colonies, the former real rep and football player? [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they call it the Democratic runoff too. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, calling all red and in the, uh, the current, well, because they're combining the districts of the Texas and that whole thing. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: Um, I just.

[SPEAKER_01]: I watch like, you know, the NBA been watching the playoffs and go with that happening go next. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, next next already in it for the first time since 99. [SPEAKER_02]: And they're attributing it to Mamdenani. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, what's new. [SPEAKER_01]: Mamdenani actually he put out like a post on social media and he was like, excuse me, Department of Transportation, I believe there's a sweep. [SPEAKER_01]: which was the next fan, so that's good.

[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm looking at these these teams, and I'm thinking if I was a racist, like these Magger Republicans, I wouldn't, like half the people on these teams, I wouldn't pick, I'm going, you would lose. [SPEAKER_01]: They would not be in the final. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but see, I think that, you know, the thing about the subtleties of Clanspeak and Francis knows this is that they have no problems supporting Black people who are there for their entertainment.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh yeah, and they have no problem using black people in black culture to entertain themselves. [SPEAKER_04]: That means they're stuck in business for that. [SPEAKER_02]: And you know, that's why I've been saying that I know it's bad if you want to go to Alabama, which is a great football team. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry, but if you're a black high school, [SPEAKER_02]: student athlete do not apply to their or Florida great great football team There be refusing to play there.

[SPEAKER_04]: That is what I need out of our athletes. [SPEAKER_04]: We need to understand This is the fourth Reich and they need to be refusing because that'll end this Yeah, and in New York minute at well freaking literally [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if you guys have to go or if you want to stay one more, so up to you. [SPEAKER_01]: It's in the news on tap about him building the UFC thing on the White House long night. [SPEAKER_01]: I know why.

[SPEAKER_02]: very light and everything. [SPEAKER_02]: It's just gross. [SPEAKER_02]: It's just gross. [SPEAKER_01]: It does. [SPEAKER_01]: Right next to our why anyway, uh, piano says, look, not to be that guy, but Gerald Ford was president 1976 and he did not inject himself into the ceremonies which were far more festive and less angry than this year. [SPEAKER_02]: No, it was Carter was president in 1976. [SPEAKER_02]: The vote was in 1976. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Carter, you're right.

[SPEAKER_02]: No, I'm sorry, I'm going to you are correct because yeah, the vote was in 76. [SPEAKER_02]: So you are correct. [SPEAKER_02]: I stand corrected on my correction of your correct correction this. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: I just told Ken, I want to say, look, man, foreign didn't even trip his way into those festivities. [SPEAKER_02]: And he was known for that Chevy Chase made a living off of that for a while. [SPEAKER_01]: He did, he did, but yeah, I mean, it is, look, yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: No, it was a beautiful, I remember, I was nine years old, I vividly remember the bicentennial. [SPEAKER_02]: It was a big deal and forward just happened to be president. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: That's the thing is they just, the festivities were beautiful, it's not going to suck. [SPEAKER_01]: Like the stuff that's going to be, you're going to see more of it this summer, in particular, because we head toward July 4th, it's just, speaking of sucking by the way.

[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, I thought it was a good segue to the drink today. [SPEAKER_02]: It's one way to put it. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, suck or bite. [SPEAKER_01]: One of it. [SPEAKER_02]: Hey. [SPEAKER_01]: Just saying. [SPEAKER_02]: You can buzz in yourself. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know, it makes it fun that way. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying, for those of you who don't know, the drink of the day. [SPEAKER_01]: Look, what is the drink of the day, Joni?

[SPEAKER_01]: So that way they're like, why are you buzzing and keep saying suck and bite? [SPEAKER_02]: It's called a Dracula's bite cocktail because apparently today is World Dracula Day. [SPEAKER_01]: Yay! [SPEAKER_01]: Which, look, we realized we just had what was at World Golf Day? [SPEAKER_01]: Was that Friday? [SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_01]: I think it was. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Which is fine. [SPEAKER_01]: Nothing wrong with that? [SPEAKER_01]: We like World Golf Day.

[SPEAKER_01]: It was good. [SPEAKER_01]: But this is World Dracula Day. [SPEAKER_01]: I like the history of Dracula. [SPEAKER_01]: You had a you had a good bit in there. [SPEAKER_01]: I spiced it up a little bit. [SPEAKER_01]: World Dracula date celebrate every year May 26 created in 2012 by the Wittbee Dracula Society. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you know where Wittbee is? [SPEAKER_01]: I have no clue. [SPEAKER_01]: It's in England. [SPEAKER_01]: It also happens to be in the novel, Bram Stoker's Dracula.

[SPEAKER_01]: It happens to be the town that Count Dracula arrives in by crashing his unmanned ship and then turning into a dog and bounding up. [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody always thinks if you look, we've got a picture there that happens to be in the trap of the death. [SPEAKER_01]: That's the Whitby Abbey, which is almost like a thousand years old, but it's kind of burned out. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's beautiful, but it's a beautiful ruin, and people go, oh, it's like an old castle.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's not an old castle, it's an old Abbey, but yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you can tell it's an Abbey, but yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I think so too. [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's easy to tell us an Abbey and not a castle, but anyway. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, because I'm Catholic and I don't know. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: The history is really good, though. [SPEAKER_01]: There is a lot of interesting stuff in this history. [SPEAKER_01]: It is very rich. [SPEAKER_01]: More like this.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it does go to Vlad Thracul. [SPEAKER_01]: Who? [SPEAKER_02]: The impeller. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, the impeller was the son. [SPEAKER_01]: The father was a Vlad Thracul, and then his son was, okay, because actually this makes sense. [SPEAKER_01]: Prince Vlad II became the ruler of Wallachia. [SPEAKER_01]: Now, while he is not transalvania, they're neighboring. [SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of like, um, Alabama. [SPEAKER_01]: And Mississippi, that's like next to each other.

[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, if you're from Alabama, you don't say that you're from Mississippi and vice versa. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: But, uh, well, Kansas cities. [SPEAKER_01]: Right, exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: you use that's a big one. [SPEAKER_01]: People do not mess with the river. [SPEAKER_01]: No, but Prince Lad joined the Chivalric Order of the Dragon, which was a military fraternity founded by Sigismund of Luxembourg.

[SPEAKER_01]: Do you remember the, do you remember your European history, the Holy Roman Empire, which is basically Germany? [SPEAKER_01]: OK, he was the king of the Holy Roman Empire. [SPEAKER_01]: And the order of the dragon was dedicated to halting the advance of brown people into Europe from Turkey. [SPEAKER_02]: Hi. [SPEAKER_02]: That's, you know, crusades and stuff. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, unfortunately, everything old is new again. [SPEAKER_01]: And anyway, but Prince Vlad was the father.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now, here's the thing. [SPEAKER_01]: When he became a member of the militant fraternity, it was the fraternity was called Order of the Dragon. [SPEAKER_01]: Um, he took the surname of Dracula, which meant in their language at the time, son of the dragon. [SPEAKER_01]: So he was like, hey, I don't know son of the dragon. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, mama, remember the dragon? [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: That's fine.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's son of lad the third added an A to the end of Dracula, which meant son of and gave us the name Dracula, which admittedly sounds much more sinister than son of the son of the dragon. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: That doesn't, that doesn't roll off the tongue so well. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway,

[SPEAKER_02]: uh... it is a great history about all this it is super interesting and one and i met michael nori who played Dracula i was gonna ask you no way he was my he was to me the sexy Dracula sorry mr. nori until gary oldman

[SPEAKER_02]: who admittedly I mean you know that's but i mean michael nori still is by the way very sexy um and very very nice man very very nice man by the way but yeah we got we met him on Friday at my friends brothers memorial because he knew he knows my friend and he did not know Donnie but he knows my friend and so he he he

[SPEAKER_02]: he was there and he had the cutest dog his name is Charlie and um he was very very sweet and it was nice to meet him because I've been a fan of his for a long time. [SPEAKER_02]: That's super cool. [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: That is super cool. [SPEAKER_01]: Well something else that will be cool. [SPEAKER_01]: Well chill specifically is the drink of the day. [SPEAKER_01]: What happens to be in a Dracula's bite cocktail? [SPEAKER_02]: It's pretty looking in it.

[SPEAKER_02]: It is. [SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of beautiful, all the way. [SPEAKER_02]: Bloody gorgeous. [SPEAKER_02]: OK, you need a pre-child coop glass, a shake, or some ice. [SPEAKER_02]: Two ounces of raspberry vodka. [SPEAKER_02]: OK. Three ounces of cranberry juice. [SPEAKER_01]: So very red. [SPEAKER_02]: Very red. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, go ahead. [SPEAKER_02]: Um, a half ounce of freshly squeezed lime juice, which will help with the vodka in the cranberry, I think. [SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then your garnish is a blackberry and or a black rose, depending on what you can get. [SPEAKER_01]: I would go to blackberry, but then again, I would eat the blackberry. [SPEAKER_01]: Sam. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: You combine the vodka, the cranberry juice and the lime juice with ice in your shaker, you shake it until cold, strain it in your coop glass filled with ice, because Dracula is cold.

[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly, he is called as ice great song and then you garnish with your blackberry or your black rose and Now remember it's it's got to you know with that two ounces of vodka and it could hit some people hard There's some booze in there.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there was some booze in there and then some one of our listeners did remind us Then black-yola one of the black-spelitation films in the seven days Which I've seen [SPEAKER_01]: Tom Schaefer we love that mention thank you very much for mentioning black and black and it's a fun movie, but yeah, there's It's a black's quotation film.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's just yeah, it's supposed to be kind of fun If you go and you look on our sub-stack for the drink of the day, you'll see Tom's comment there as well So thank you. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for putting that up, but I figured you know [SPEAKER_01]: You're like, eh, well, we'll try it. [SPEAKER_01]: We'll try it unless somebody mentions it. [SPEAKER_01]: And Tom didn't say it.

[SPEAKER_01]: If you guys missed any part of the drink of the day, you know what to do, go subscribe to politicsbar.com. [SPEAKER_01]: In the entertainment section today, in round five, got to say the next advancing to their NBA first NBA final since 1999, as we mentioned with for Angela, that didn't entirely surprise me. [SPEAKER_01]: Meanwhile, okay, see you in San Antonio here, just beatin' hell out of each other. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: There, whoever's going to face the nicks is going to be beat up as hell. [SPEAKER_01]: In hockey, Carolina Hurricanes beat the Montreal Crane Canadians over the weekend, three, two and overtime, so that's going to be a tough finals as well for the NHL.

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, baseball, by the way, your Dodgers doing okay, Freddie Friedman got a 417th inning last night Dodgers beat the Colorado Rockies 5-3, which is not, I mean, the Colorado Rockies are [SPEAKER_01]: They're not like the team that all the kids who have abusive parents want to be with. [SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, you know, they can win a few things. [SPEAKER_01]: They can beat a few people in the Rockies, too. [SPEAKER_01]: I was surprised.

[SPEAKER_01]: I am surprised at my nationals, by the way. [SPEAKER_01]: Washington Nationals, yesterday got a 10-2 win over the Cleveland Guardians. [SPEAKER_01]: The team is now above 500. [SPEAKER_02]: Congratulations. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: We're half as good as the best people. [SPEAKER_01]: Look, they haven't put in enough money for a long time, so, you know, whatever. [SPEAKER_01]: Also, some other entertainment news over the weekend, CBS got their ass woke again.

[SPEAKER_01]: Uh-huh. [SPEAKER_01]: Did you see that on Friday? [SPEAKER_01]: I saw some of it. [SPEAKER_01]: I saw some of it. [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't see all of it, but I saw some of it. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, and that's just that there are a lot of clips out there that are roaming around. [SPEAKER_01]: He went to, was his Monroe Michigan and did a public access show. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, he started. [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, he did like 11 years ago didn't he?

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, when he left the Colbert rapport, he went there right when he got signed to CBS to do the late show. [SPEAKER_02]: So he did his first technical late show there, right, which is why it was a CBS production I think.

[SPEAKER_02]: interesting because they own that CBS got their asses hands as they should that was stupid they were like no we're gonna take this down you can do that on our permission and people are like shut up jackass i'm sorry back down the the original show was put on the Stephen Colbert website which is CBS owned therefore people were just sharing clips from that which means people go and [SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, look, I look the American music awards if you missed it over the weekend because it happened to be on CBS. [SPEAKER_01]: It killed a whole lot of people are blocking. [SPEAKER_01]: You can actually see who won. [SPEAKER_01]: Because that's just it. [SPEAKER_01]: There are a lot of people who are now like CBS is going to act that way. [SPEAKER_01]: I go watch them no more for nothing. [SPEAKER_01]: Yep. [SPEAKER_01]: And I tell them they understand that.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, look, they got to learn less in a hard way, obviously. [SPEAKER_01]: Look, we have more news on tap. [SPEAKER_01]: We have some hard lessons and some good news in the news on tap. [SPEAKER_01]: So we will get you guys informed and laughing here on this Tuesday evening. [SPEAKER_01]: I know, it feels like a Monday. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not a Monday. [SPEAKER_01]: It's Tuesday. [SPEAKER_01]: Jody's here. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm here. [SPEAKER_01]: You're here.

[SPEAKER_01]: Fresh and you drink. [SPEAKER_01]: Come right back. [SPEAKER_01]: It's Tuesday night here at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_05]: We'll be right back after we pay some bills at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_01]: it is Tuesday evening here at politics bar thank you very much man we love hanging out with you guys and of course we like hanging out with each other too which is a lot of fun.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean you know we we took four days we came in like twice Hang out for you know get a couple of new drinks for you guys. [SPEAKER_01]: It was all good and then we were doing I got some sleep this weekend [SPEAKER_02]: I know. [SPEAKER_01]: I like actual sleep.

[SPEAKER_02]: I feel so much better when I'm I joke with one of the people whose neighborhood I walk in because she just got a new dog and his name is Emmett and he's 10 months old and he's adorable and so we hadn't seen her in a while and she said what's going on with the job and I told her and she goes, I said, no, but it was great this weekend. [SPEAKER_02]: I got to sleep till three.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you'll be filling in over at Steph's place because I think for two weeks starting next week. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, fellas out this week. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: And then is it steps up the next week? [SPEAKER_02]: Steph is out next week and Chris is out the following week. [SPEAKER_02]: So I'm going to be loopy. [SPEAKER_01]: Or is Chris going to go to Nebraska and go see the zoo. [SPEAKER_01]: I hope he does. [SPEAKER_02]: I think he's planning on going to Nebraska.

[SPEAKER_01]: Henry Durley Zoo is the best in the country as far as I know. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if he's going to go there but I think he's planning on going to the best. [SPEAKER_01]: That's the zoo in Omaha. [SPEAKER_01]: That's like the zoo. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that is the big zoo and it is gorgeous. [SPEAKER_01]: If you like zoos and this is not your typical, you know, put him in a concrete block kind of a thing. [SPEAKER_01]: He's got a bunch of land. [SPEAKER_02]: So that's nice.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's like this San Diego wildlife preserve. [SPEAKER_02]: I like that. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, we're animals can be a little bit more free to do the kinds of things. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, part of the reason I don't like the LAs, it was they still have at least one. [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe, I think only one elephant. [SPEAKER_02]: First off, they're social. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, never, never have a single elephant.

[SPEAKER_02]: And secondly, it, I mean, it's maybe two acres. [SPEAKER_01]: That's not these days, especially with all that we've learned about animals and things, especially elephants. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, no, I'm in a place in Tennessee. [SPEAKER_01]: We have to ask our friends the detour talk because I think there's a place there where they have like an elephant preserve.

[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I mean, the San Diego Wildlife Preserve has drafts that can roam like crazy, and they are all like a bunch of certain animals that live in harmony and other parts of the world. [SPEAKER_02]: They live in harmony in several acres. [SPEAKER_01]: The nice thing with the Henry D'Orley Zoo, one of the things that they figured out is they do the walking pass, and they've figured out ways to kind of stage them, and then make like moats and things that the animals won't cross.

[SPEAKER_01]: So to you as you're standing there, it looks like the animals are all together in one thing, but it's a visual trick, because one is in, it's weirdly shaped in closure, and another is in, it's other weirdly shaped in closure that's kind of- [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: And they're like, you know, and you look, and you go, oh, they're together. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, not really. [SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, in San Diego, because we got to feed drafts.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: And we got to feed a rhino. [SPEAKER_02]: And normally when you go to this thing, there's like 15 people in this back of the truck. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: But we went down the Monday after Labor Day. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: So everybody was back at school. [SPEAKER_02]: Everybody was back at work. [SPEAKER_02]: So there was only four of us. [SPEAKER_02]: in the back of this truck.

[SPEAKER_02]: So, I mean, the drafts were right here feeding them. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they were so sweet. [SPEAKER_02]: And then the rhino came right up to us and we fed them an apple and got to pet his horn. [SPEAKER_01]: And then you said, look, why don't you just become a Democrat?

[SPEAKER_01]: Because that, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, [SPEAKER_01]: It is so violent. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's so dumb what Republicans are doing to each other that way.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: We don't we don't know the details yet. [SPEAKER_01]: We aren't going to call a winner. [SPEAKER_01]: Even if they've already called it in the race in Texas. [SPEAKER_01]: But I think it's stupid. [SPEAKER_01]: And I think it is self-defeating. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm glad that some Democrats are starting to pull their heads out of their butt. [SPEAKER_01]: The Maryland Senate president. [SPEAKER_01]: We have this in the election

[SPEAKER_01]: formerly he'd been blocking democratic efforts he's now saying you know what we should redistrict and some of the other ones around the country are going because of what the Republicans have been doing they're saying they're now amenable to to fixing things for twenty twenty eight so that democrats have a better fighting chance and i and look uh... in a politics and poll section there's a new strength the numbers very site poll trump's approval rating

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you what you clicked. [SPEAKER_01]: Did you click it and read it? [SPEAKER_01]: A little bit. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Negative 47 just on the economy and pricing. [SPEAKER_01]: 57% of Americans now name a prices as the most important issue up from 50% believe we could to go inflation keeps rising as well. [SPEAKER_01]: We have the inflation numbers by the way.

[SPEAKER_01]: that's a little bit further up happens to be under the second round under the Trumponomics is failing. [SPEAKER_01]: The benchmark university of Michigan survey came out on Friday when we had already started our weekend. [SPEAKER_01]: US consumer sentiment is now at the all-time low ever. [SPEAKER_01]: No, it's political sentiment. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, according to Hasett, it's not it shouldn't be called that.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, according to Donald Trump's advisor, Kevin Hassett, that's, yeah, it's not political sense. [SPEAKER_02]: It is, it is going to be super, super. [SPEAKER_02]: We've gone by that for years and my, my wife is a retail, she's, she knows. [SPEAKER_01]: She's in retail sales. [SPEAKER_01]: Um, and she's a retail sales manager for she, she got the, the job she's currently in.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know when people are hesitant to buy because they don't, they don't trust what's going on in the, right now. [SPEAKER_01]: People, nobody [SPEAKER_01]: Even if you have a supposedly stable job, you don't trust a groceries, biggest price hike in years came to last month, and experts think it's going to get even worse. [SPEAKER_01]: And then we have another piece under Trump and Omex's failing, which I know that he will hate.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's a newsweek piece, but it's pretty good. [SPEAKER_01]: It compares the Trump versus Biden economies. [SPEAKER_01]: Biden was never this bad. [SPEAKER_01]: No. [SPEAKER_01]: And Kevin Worsh, no, I'm not doing the Pacific Northwest accent.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's likely is W, yeah, no, it's not W, A, S, H, W, A, R, S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S

[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, although our previous venture happens to still be on the Fed, he's going to still stand the board, which I think is great because it basically forces, uh, worse to stay legit. [SPEAKER_01]: And with the rising inflation threat, there's no way they're going to be able to drop interest rates. [SPEAKER_02]: No, they can't, which is good for anybody that has a savings account right now.

[SPEAKER_01]: but it's also good in general for the the stability of the market and when the market is stable consumer sentiment increases and you have to have these kinds of guard bills because we can't trust what trump in the republicans are doing yep especially so uh... you and i both had some of the same uh... articles on this uh... over the weekend you see did you see the pictures of senator and you can get a [SPEAKER_02]: It's just horrific.

[SPEAKER_02]: This is a man who literally cleaned up crap when he was a congressperson. [SPEAKER_04]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: Little crap. [SPEAKER_02]: And he did not have to do that. [SPEAKER_02]: But he knew that all the people that work custodial wise in the capital needed help. [SPEAKER_02]: So he's a good man. [SPEAKER_01]: He's a good man. [SPEAKER_01]: I've heard a lot of good things about him. [SPEAKER_01]: I've heard good things from about his staffers.

[SPEAKER_01]: I've heard that it's good to work for. [SPEAKER_02]: My dear Cheryl, it was there as well. [SPEAKER_01]: Mikey Cheryl was there several members of the several Democratic members. [SPEAKER_01]: No Republican members, several Democratic members of the Congress members will. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And I said, I think it was on threads. [SPEAKER_01]: I said to Governor Cheryl, I said, you should say to ICE, you are on land that is in New Jersey.

[SPEAKER_01]: You are allowed to be here by us. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And if you're not going to allow us in, we're not going to allow you to continue being here. [SPEAKER_02]: I think she's going to probably start doing that because she's been allowed in there. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, she's a governor. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And look there. [SPEAKER_01]: The reason why there's so much going on there.

[SPEAKER_01]: We have the story in the news on tap protesters started blocking the New York Ice Detention Facility over the holiday weekend here. [SPEAKER_01]: The folks inside are doing a hunger and work strike because the conditions are so bad. [SPEAKER_01]: Remember, these are a little miniature concentration camps for this. [SPEAKER_02]: They are concentration camps. [SPEAKER_02]: There's no doubt about it.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I mean, they're not like, you know, we think of a concentration area was a big sprawling thing.

[SPEAKER_01]: This is like, you know, pushed into a box, which is not good, but there is some good news in Trump's failing immigration war over the weekend federal judge dismissed Kilmar Brigo Garcia's charges in Tennessee fighting Trump DOJ abuse their power and deemed their actions quote vindictive prosecution didn't [SPEAKER_02]: He did and by the way, should he apply for the 1.8 billion that's bigger than that, anyway? [SPEAKER_02]: I say he should apply for all of it.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not all of it. [SPEAKER_01]: I think he wouldn't be, he'd be okay with sharing some of it. [SPEAKER_02]: How about 10 million of it? [SPEAKER_01]: We're like Allison Gill. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, she's got 8.647 going. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, eight, eight, six, four, some, one or with that. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, but yeah, look, the, there is, there is a fight, but people are fighting back. [SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, I'm also very glad.

[SPEAKER_01]: The feds did drop all the charges in the broad view six. [SPEAKER_02]: Immigration protests. [SPEAKER_02]: It's our case. [SPEAKER_01]: So our friend Katta, because I only who friends will mention earlier, um, her and her friends, here's the thing though, is that they still have six figures worth of legal debt. [SPEAKER_01]: true because this is a federal issue, so jadies write when jadies write she's right.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they should apply for their I think everybody that's been screwed by this administration needs to just for a regime. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: No, you may if you're if you're James go go after if they're going to provide reparations for the traders, but also make it say that good people can apply for it. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, let's do that. [SPEAKER_01]: I got to wish you with it. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's let's do that.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, give give Kat some money give a break of Garcia some money. [SPEAKER_02]: Give Allison some money. [SPEAKER_02]: Call me who I don't like, but give him some. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's hit the James. [SPEAKER_02]: These people literally their cases were dismissed versus [SPEAKER_02]: those NJ6, most of which went to a church, not all. [SPEAKER_02]: Actually, it was probably 50, 50 that went to Juris and the other's leading guilty. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, especially jury trials.

[SPEAKER_01]: Right, jury trials are not, this wasn't, that wasn't the Trump regime or the Biden administration. [SPEAKER_01]: It was, and their appeals didn't work. [SPEAKER_02]: So, therefore, [SPEAKER_02]: They're guilty. [SPEAKER_02]: They're guilty. [SPEAKER_01]: And some of them who weren't let out pardoned by Donald Trump have been re-rested under other crimes like, you know, pedophile crimes like a lot of them crimes a lot of them. [SPEAKER_02]: And the thing is it's surprising number.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: It's the make-joiding mad folks. [SPEAKER_02]: You wouldn't like me when I mad. [SPEAKER_02]: So, all of the people that were convicted, the 1600, around that many, that were convicted. [SPEAKER_01]: They were convicted. [SPEAKER_02]: They were a grand jury that indicted them. [SPEAKER_02]: Not Joe Biden, not the DOJ. [SPEAKER_02]: These were juries that indicted these people.

[SPEAKER_02]: So then their lawyer went to the prosecutors and said, the prosecutor said you can plead guilty, and this is what you're gonna do, blah, blah, blah. [SPEAKER_02]: Also, when you are pardoned, you are agreeing that you are guilty of said crime. [SPEAKER_02]: So therefore, there's no weaponization. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, not only that, like they're trying to do stupid crap, like we have it in the reparations for trader section under the third round of the news on tap.

[SPEAKER_01]: So the Trump DOJ over the long weekend tried to delete press release of the original charges against the January 6th. [SPEAKER_01]: They've literally been told. [SPEAKER_01]: There are multiple groups out there, legal groups, health data groups, basically there's a bunch of independent groups that backed up most of the government website.

[SPEAKER_02]: when the Trump regime came in knowing that they would do stupid crap like this and by the way, even if they didn't do it the internet lasts forever by the way, children when you do something naked on the internet and you're gonna be embarrassed about it later still gonna be around right, so you know, maybe don't do that the first time maybe don't do that ever keep a close-on or keep the camera off and that would be brilliant

[SPEAKER_01]: actually one of the things I was kind of I was surprised at and actually in some ways kind of glad about. [SPEAKER_01]: Um, so in the fourth round, the section labeled people warnings and apologies. [SPEAKER_01]: So Pope Leo of him. [SPEAKER_01]: Did you know the public, okay, a Pope Bob? [SPEAKER_01]: Um, did you know that he was a math major? [SPEAKER_02]: You told me that earlier I had no end before he went to seminary school.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, uh, Pope Leo also known as Robert Francis pre-vost made history is the first pontiff to hold a mathematics degree earning his Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Villanova in 1977 did that before he's smart.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, the thing is it's like he so he put out an in cyclical which [SPEAKER_01]: drove me nuts when I heard the I know the I heard the young girl over the weekend on the AP news uh she called it when she called it in sign in sign cool she didn't know how to pronounce the word in sickle did she not know how to pronounce in cyclopede oh so she's going with in cyclopede if versus

[SPEAKER_01]: But I looked at it and going you work for AP you have the AP pronunciation guide in front of you I get it. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a holiday weekend and you're like fifth string because I I have started So I didn't rank her out because I was like I have been that person at the beginning of my career And then I learned about the AP pronunciation guide and I used it so I'm hoping that she would do this Sure, but [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, so Pope Bob put out an encyclical over the weekend.

[SPEAKER_01]: 42,300 words. [SPEAKER_01]: We have the links both to the right of about it and the actual encyclical called the Magnificate Humanitas. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: About AI. [SPEAKER_01]: He's somebody who understands math and science and computers, and he says, AI must serve humanity. [SPEAKER_01]: We've got to talk with Bob about this tomorrow. [SPEAKER_01]: We're about to do this here. [SPEAKER_01]: Because obviously, with Trek politics, there is this thing.

[SPEAKER_01]: Those of you who are Trek fans know, data always had an ethical sub-routine. [SPEAKER_01]: You remember his brother, Laura, did not? [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: It's ethical sub-routine is just math that's written to keep the end of the argument. [SPEAKER_02]: You're from not killing things or, right. [SPEAKER_01]: And the pope says, yeah, that's what God will want you to do. [SPEAKER_01]: Have ethics. [SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.

[SPEAKER_01]: And if you create something like a robot that can do the things you do, the robot should also have ethics. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, but you're assuming that the people that are creating these have ethics. [SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no, the Pope doesn't assume that he's just saying that's the way it should be. [SPEAKER_01]: He realizes there are people who are not. [SPEAKER_01]: They who do things like create robots to in the slave people. [SPEAKER_02]: Jeff Bezos.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, it's okay. [SPEAKER_01]: He talked about that too. [SPEAKER_01]: Look, we've got more of that story. [SPEAKER_01]: We've got more from the news on tap. [SPEAKER_01]: It is a Tuesday night. [SPEAKER_01]: Fresh in your drink. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you got a new? [SPEAKER_01]: If you don't have your politics bar t-shirt, we recommend hitting the politics bar dot com. [SPEAKER_02]: I'll be wearing all five that I have next week. [SPEAKER_01]: Look at that, you'll see them on the Stephanie Miller show. [SPEAKER_01]: But right now, fresh into your drink and come right back because this is the politics bar. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's call on these Tuesday nights and I love this. [SPEAKER_01]: We have a fun time hanging out. [SPEAKER_01]: We talked about all kind of weird things both on the microphone and off If you missed Angela who was here earlier, you know should have been here, but yeah, that's fine.

[SPEAKER_01]: Look, I think you're busy You know you had take care of dogs. [SPEAKER_01]: You got to take care of the kids take them wherever do the thing. [SPEAKER_01]: You got the work thing whatever look Yes, you're listening on the radio, but the best thing you can do is also subscribe at the politics bar dot com [SPEAKER_01]: It's just $6 a month, look, we know times are tough, so we make it inexpensive for you.

[SPEAKER_01]: So if you go to the news on tap, just under the first round of the news on tap, there's your discount button. [SPEAKER_01]: Click that, you get 10% off.

[SPEAKER_01]: Go check out the details. [SPEAKER_00]: They're there at the ball next bar. [SPEAKER_01]: All right, Johnny, so we were talking about a little bit loose a little bit of spiritual stuff in the break. [SPEAKER_01]: We'll, we'll fund stuff that way. [SPEAKER_01]: And obviously, I think, because, you know, we were talking about Pope Leo before the break. [SPEAKER_01]: Love him. [SPEAKER_01]: He's great. [SPEAKER_01]: I really do.

[SPEAKER_02]: He's like walking the walk, talking the talk. [SPEAKER_02]: He's like the, in my lifetime, and I thought Frank was good. [SPEAKER_01]: Frank was good Pope Bob, I think, is a little bit better, yeah? [SPEAKER_02]: They're just, you're getting better. [SPEAKER_02]: They're getting my Christian. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: And they're getting more to be more the way they should be. [SPEAKER_01]: Like John, John will be here Thursday.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk more about that then. [SPEAKER_01]: But hopefully, we told you about the Magnifica Humanitas. [SPEAKER_01]: His new encyclical that talks about how AI must serve humanity. [SPEAKER_01]: Not make us slaves of the robots. [SPEAKER_01]: Not make us slaves of of the programs. [SPEAKER_01]: which is important, and he did something else that's related to slavery.

[SPEAKER_01]: He apologized for the Vatican's past role in legitimizing slavery. [SPEAKER_02]: And with her hand, it's nice to be like, look, especially when... [SPEAKER_01]: He clearly understands the role of Pope. [SPEAKER_01]: The role of Pope is like that of a president or a prime minister to some degree. [SPEAKER_02]: Kind of bigger. [SPEAKER_02]: You can see. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, Billy and people listen to this man.

[SPEAKER_01]: But you're also, you're picking up on whatever the previous Pope's did before you. [SPEAKER_01]: You have to take responsibility for what they did. [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_01]: You don't get to go, well, you know, that was Pope Dufus II, and he was a moron, so F.M. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, how long do they think they're going to get away with that?

[SPEAKER_01]: They will like, as long as they possibly can until they are forced to deal with the consequences and then as soon as they're forced to deal with the consequences, they will immediately shift back and wine about it and go back to the, I, I, I think it must be a, we can, we got to get the doctor back in.

[SPEAKER_01]: uh... dot grandma back in a lot of talk about the psychological stuff because some of these people they i don't think they can handle the psychological weight of the criminality that they've done these insurrectionist bastards and and i just think that they they give themselves plenty of excuses to be as racist and as misogynists as we were talking with frangil eritor night about [SPEAKER_02]: because they know they're wrong, they know they're so wrong. [SPEAKER_02]: They don't.

[SPEAKER_02]: And they care. [SPEAKER_01]: I think they do care only if it gives him no power. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think they care. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, there's and well, I think maybe we're talking about two different groups because there's the the Republican elected, they care more about the power. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but I'm talking the average Joe idiot manga who lies to themselves. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: And if you push them, it's been easy to see with this, this runoff election between Corne and Pactin in Texas. [SPEAKER_01]: And the interviews [SPEAKER_01]: Well, he's a criminal and he's a bastard and he cheated on his wife and he stole from the state of Texas. [SPEAKER_02]: But he's not a Democrat. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: I saw somebody of somebody I forget who from the good liars was interviewing a woman. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: And they're great about seeing these people. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're fantastic. [SPEAKER_02]: And they're very nice to them. [SPEAKER_02]: They're very nice to them, by the way, they're super nice. [SPEAKER_02]: And God bless them for that. [SPEAKER_02]: And he was interviewing this one woman. [SPEAKER_02]: And he rattled off all these things that Donald has done. [SPEAKER_02]: It was right before the 2020 election, obviously. [SPEAKER_02]: And all these things.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then said, are you okay with that? [SPEAKER_02]: She goes, well, no. [SPEAKER_02]: But you're not going to vote no, I will never vote for Joe Biden. [SPEAKER_02]: And then he asked her, and I quote, would you vote for Vladimir Putin over Joe Biden in this country? [SPEAKER_02]: She went, this country, Vladimir Putin, yeah, over Joe Biden, yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, this is how brainwashed these people are. [SPEAKER_01]: They happen.

[SPEAKER_01]: And this is, this is one of the things watching what they're doing in the media and hungry and how they are trying to clean their system. [SPEAKER_02]: They're doing really nicely. [SPEAKER_01]: They're going, we're going to have to do something similar. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we have the first amendment, but we also have things that say that you cannot say, fire on a plane or right, exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: Fire on a crowd of people.

[SPEAKER_02]: You can't even say, bomb in a waiting line, to get on a plane. [SPEAKER_01]: There is I can't remember, but there's a Canadian BOM. [SPEAKER_01]: It's it means something different in Polish and you still can't be be saying speaking in Polish and use that word on a plane. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: That's I mean, comedians in line. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, comedians in line to get on. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I bombed last night. [SPEAKER_02]: Wait, but you said the bomb out of line.

[SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's it's so there are limits and I think it's long past time that we need to to rain those in because the poison that has been spewed and that doesn't mean that there isn't.

[SPEAKER_01]: more lefty poison that doesn't mean that there is another types of of course I think all of the informational poison needs to be rained in I agree I'm just just the fact that there is significantly more right wing propaganda poison doctor just saying that's not real according to Donald

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, I think he has gotten high on his own supply of right wing poison and he doesn't know things like, for example, we have this one in the third round under Republicans corruption land, Comrade Secretary Lutnik, I got it right, I had to think about it. [SPEAKER_01]: Don't I did five million House Republicans before he gave his testimony on the Epstein files? [SPEAKER_01]: Corruption much exactly also the Japanese mega corps off bank.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you've heard of them They donated 50 million to Trump's presidential library. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think there's any books scheduled for yeah, no, it's gonna be hotel [SPEAKER_01]: which they're they're getting sued to stop that because of of where it's is in Miami and meanwhile, the Trump administration has been illegally mandating that an at me downloaded and put into all of their federal government issued phones.

[SPEAKER_01]: It basically is just an app that that is where it's from. [SPEAKER_02]: Isn't that in the Donald Trump phones too? [SPEAKER_01]: I think it is in the new which which the more reviews. [SPEAKER_01]: Nobody likes it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're like, this is a janky third rate knockoff Android-ish phone. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's an older Android like older than mine and mine's two years old and it has an old school.

[SPEAKER_02]: I like this that an old school, you know, hook up for your headphones. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm with them on that bring that back to people.

[SPEAKER_01]: who are we talking to like a couple weeks ago and I said the least they could do is find somebody with a bunch of these jack-y-all phones slap some gold paint on them and actually get a phone at because remember this is before they were they were at that point they weren't actually putting the phones out there and then they did they found a they found a bunch of these jack-y-all phones they slap some gold paint on them and apparently it looks like urine in certain lights

[SPEAKER_02]: It's a scene at, it's a scene at, we're feeling of it, you're into the, yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, or it looks like just, it just, and it was never made in America. [SPEAKER_02]: No, and no, it's not, it has quite American values and then for the flag, there's only 11 strikes. [SPEAKER_02]: There are 13 stripes on our flag because of the 13 colonies kids. [SPEAKER_01]: There's a story I didn't even get in the news on tap.

[SPEAKER_01]: There is a park that's like two blocks from the White House here in downtown DC. [SPEAKER_01]: and they put up 13 statues didn't tell the DC city council didn't tell the mayor. [SPEAKER_01]: One of them happens to be a statue of a guy who was kind of racist that they'd taken the statue down previously and they put it back up during this part of this America 250 garbage item.

[SPEAKER_01]: There are a lot of ways to celebrate America and one of the things that we hope you guys are doing, is making sure that you're informed, making sure that you're registered. [SPEAKER_01]: One of the things we need to start doing now, if you are not already registered, start working on getting everybody you know registered and getting them to vote.

[SPEAKER_02]: And if you are registered, make sure your registration is always up to date, especially if you're in a red state or a red town, because they're going to [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: After the primaries, re-registerers were public in. [SPEAKER_01]: Interesting. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, they may look at your previous voting record and throw it out. [SPEAKER_01]: I, I don't think you're wrong. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you can be registered whatever you want.

[SPEAKER_02]: and Valhalla or just independent just go independent because they're not going to in general take independence off. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they may not. [SPEAKER_01]: But I think I think we all have to be watchful as far as that goes and keep, you know, keep our eyes on all of that stuff. [SPEAKER_01]: We also I think need to keep our eyes on this whole Ebola epidemic. [SPEAKER_01]: The WHO chief is warning.

[SPEAKER_01]: We had to send under the disease and illness section that the fast-moving Ebola epidemic is still outpacing the response efforts that doesn't mean that it's rampant, [SPEAKER_01]: They don't have a hold on as much as they'd like kind of like when you've got like a wildfire and they say it's like 15% contained right You're like, okay, I know they're working on it, but it still worries me.

[SPEAKER_02]: Well, Ebola obviously has started to mutate because it's not killing 95% of people anymore. [SPEAKER_02]: It's down to what [SPEAKER_02]: 50, 60, 50%, so it is evolving into a disease that can, it would, it would go a little pandemic. [SPEAKER_02]: It would go a little pandemic. [SPEAKER_01]: viral researchers here in the United States looped in on all this though. [SPEAKER_01]: But if the administration is keeping them out.

[SPEAKER_02]: They can talk, they can listen, they just can't speak. [SPEAKER_01]: which is what you got that story in there too. [SPEAKER_01]: And then of course the story that one of the stories we started out with today. [SPEAKER_01]: The Trump got his third annual hospital checkup in 13 months.
