[SPEAKER_03]: It's political. [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, radical. [SPEAKER_04]: You think it's a far away, but you are, the politics bar. [SPEAKER_03]: Shotsmith, Pearson, Jodie Hamilton. [SPEAKER_09]: Judy, hey, nice shirt. [SPEAKER_09]: I know. [SPEAKER_09]: I aim to please you aim to please. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: I will. [SPEAKER_02]: I do because I have to clean. [SPEAKER_02]: And so do you forever. [SPEAKER_02]: We've got to clean this place up at times.
[SPEAKER_02]: But right now, it's clean. [SPEAKER_02]: It is inviting. [SPEAKER_02]: And we are welcoming in all of you. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, yes. [SPEAKER_02]: It's Monday. [SPEAKER_02]: It's been a weekend. [SPEAKER_02]: No, ready. [SPEAKER_02]: We're welcoming everybody here to the politics bar this Monday night.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you by the way for everybody coming in from wherever you happen to be Whether that happens to be WCPT AM820 at a Chicago Maybe you're listening on AM950 Minneapolis St. Paul. [SPEAKER_02]: Lugey, over on YouTube, where, you know, we have the YouTube clip up of our interview with Mayor Bass. [SPEAKER_09]: That was amazing. [SPEAKER_02]: I had a better interview with Mayor Bass than Katie Turdid today. [SPEAKER_02]: So just say, anyway, but Luce says, hey, it's always a great show you guys. [SPEAKER_02]: I look forward to seeing what you're talking about and I am one of your future people. [SPEAKER_02]: I love that guy.

[SPEAKER_09]: All right, Jody, so how's your weekend? [SPEAKER_09]: Do anything different, do anything unusual? [SPEAKER_09]: It was raining all weekend, so I just kind of stayed home. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I saw that.
[SPEAKER_02]: Remember when we were talking with Mayor Bass, and we warned about that, and sure enough, although mostly it looks pretty good. [SPEAKER_02]: There were a few dead. [SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't too bad. [SPEAKER_09]: It wasn't too bad. [SPEAKER_09]: I mean, yes, but I mean, I had a friend of mine called me from Alabama.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm... [SPEAKER_09]: I was very concerned and I was like, no honey, we're fine, you know, because we don't live in a burn area, thank God, and the burn area is not good. [SPEAKER_02]: They've been they obviously did some some prep work on that type of stuff too, so they did. [SPEAKER_09]: And I mean, yes, there were people that didn't make it, but right now it's dry, it started to rain again.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_09]: It was dry this morning so I got to walk nice, which was nice. [SPEAKER_09]: I got my 10 miles Uh, and but it's gonna rain tonight, and then it's gonna be dry tomorrow, and then it might rain again on Thursday It's a lot of rain for you guys. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not exactly a normal thing. [SPEAKER_09]: If you have that much rain out in LA It's yeah Where that kind of city. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, well look.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean it's it's um [SPEAKER_02]: It's one of those things. [SPEAKER_02]: Obviously climate change is important. [SPEAKER_02]: There are a lot of actually important things. [SPEAKER_02]: But unfortunately, because of the way things are right now, pretty much all of the mainstream media is talking about the abstine vials. [SPEAKER_02]: And there are some important things related to that.
[SPEAKER_02]: However, there's also a whole lot of other governing that needs to be taken care of. [SPEAKER_02]: And a lot of that is getting ignored or allowed to be done poorly. [SPEAKER_02]: But there is some good news, actually. [SPEAKER_02]: There's a list. [SPEAKER_02]: So Aaron Fersner, I don't know if you know who that is. [SPEAKER_02]: He's deputy chief of staff for Rep. Don Byer, he's out here at this end of the bar in Northern Virginia. [SPEAKER_02]: And he's got a list of things.
[SPEAKER_02]: Reasons why Democrats should not be getting down, especially as we head towards the holidays. [SPEAKER_02]: Because while this year has been hell, things are actually in some ways, a whole lot better than we thought they would be. [SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about that later. [SPEAKER_02]: Brooklyn, Dad, Define is coming in tonight with a gift for Maga. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I know. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, I don't.
[SPEAKER_02]: He is nicer than I am. [SPEAKER_02]: My gift for Maga is you're number one. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: That's that's. [SPEAKER_02]: Look, but Sean Louise. [SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about it. [SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about it with him. [SPEAKER_02]: He has a gift for them. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll see. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you know, the question is, is it the kind of thing they want to receive?
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, there's it going to be like the whole, you know, present from the grandma, pretty sure you ain't going to like it. [SPEAKER_02]: Even though you don't know what it is. [SPEAKER_02]: It sucks. [SPEAKER_08]: I like socks. [SPEAKER_08]: It sucks. [SPEAKER_02]: It sucks. [SPEAKER_02]: It's always socks. [SPEAKER_02]: Hey, I can always use more socks. [SPEAKER_02]: I will not say I could always use more underwear because that's not the other day.
[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, yeah, usually the holidays, I'll mind that, you know, I mean, holiday things like that that you can fit in a stocking, I'm good with those kinds of things. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, we'll talk about more of that stuff coming up tonight. [SPEAKER_02]: We do, of course, have the news on tap for the day. [SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, we're started out with the Epstein file stuff out.
[SPEAKER_02]: You as house, now plans to vote tomorrow on releasing the Epstein files and in a bizarre turn, Trump is urging the Republicans to vote for the release of the Epstein files, not against it. [SPEAKER_02]: Did that surprise you when he made that turn here? [SPEAKER_02]: Was it Sunday and the last 12, was like last night? [SPEAKER_09]: Wasn't it Sunday? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_09]: Um, okay.
[SPEAKER_09]: So he also said legally available and then I'm ordering Pam Bondi, which now he denies that he ordered her to investigate Epstein again, which means they don't have to leave. [SPEAKER_09]: They don't have to leave. [SPEAKER_09]: Let us know anything if it's under investigation.
[SPEAKER_02]: there are sources in the public in the media as well as sources that i have the different numbers but they say somewhere between a hundred and a hundred and fifty house or public and so we're going to do it anyway yeah right trump doesn't want to be seen as being what he is which is a loser so then he turns around and says we'll find if there's nothing to see here [SPEAKER_02]: So that's where that is.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thing is that the Senate may also have a veto proof majority on this. [SPEAKER_02]: So if they get veto proof in the House and veto proof in the Senate, even if he wanted to diss it, he couldn't. [SPEAKER_09]: But legally, if it's under investigation, there are legal reasons for them not to release anything. [SPEAKER_09]: When Joe Biden's not being able to do it.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's a whole bunch of actually of the people who have been on top of this Chris Murphy has been on top of this. [SPEAKER_02]: Who would I see Chris Coons? [SPEAKER_02]: I think I saw over at MS now, MSNBC, whatever it hell. [SPEAKER_02]: And they're new digs today.
[SPEAKER_02]: And but I I also saw a massive over the weekend on one of the Sunday shows and he mentioned that exact same thing only bring this up in the DVR [SPEAKER_01]: You know, the president's been saying this is a hoax. [SPEAKER_01]: He's been saying that for months. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, he's just now decided to investigate a hoax if it's a hoax. [SPEAKER_01]: And I have another concern about these investigations that he's announced.
[SPEAKER_01]: If they have ongoing investigations in certain areas, those documents can't be released. [SPEAKER_01]: So this might be a big smoke screen. [SPEAKER_01]: These investigations to open a bunch of them to as a last ditch effort to prevent the release of the Epstein files. [SPEAKER_02]: He's right. [SPEAKER_02]: Thomas Massey is right. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but but here's the thing that a lot of people don't quite understand.
[SPEAKER_02]: And this is Remember when I said was it last week. [SPEAKER_02]: So Democrats put out three of the emails. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: Republicans put out 20,000 pages. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: So evidentiary rules state that a thing that is part of a whole. [SPEAKER_02]: It represents the whole. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so if in these 20,000 pages there is a page or there is another page that references a lot of these were emails.
[SPEAKER_02]: So if it was a forward, a part of a forward that actually ties back to something and those are already out in the public. [SPEAKER_02]: they can't then say well we're investigating this and you see there's this document page you know this document page is one through eleven you can't see because it's part of this investigation.
[SPEAKER_02]: But actually you released page three page four page five is part of that twenty thousand and a court will then say nope that page one through eleven all of that is in the open. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you can't part it's it's it's the the you can't be the partially pregnant a little bit pregnant right there's there's no little bit pregnant there's no little bit dead he's almost dead mostly dead no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no
[SPEAKER_02]: And that is something that with those 20,000 pages of documents in the fact that a lot of them were bits and pieces, their bits and pieces of other documents, so even if Bonnie says, well, you know, I'm going to investigate Bill Clinton because there was this email that said that Bill Clinton was part of [SPEAKER_02]: Part of something else that we've got actually a story on the above. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: What? [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, but here's the thing. [SPEAKER_02]: Even if she wanted to, any of the documents relating that, if they were part of that release of documents, if they're in the public already, you can't take them back. [SPEAKER_09]: No, they're in the public. [SPEAKER_02]: Right, you can't, and you can't on F something that way. [SPEAKER_09]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: That's one way to put it there.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, I do want to talk about it, because it's in the news on tap there in that first section. [SPEAKER_02]: The F-steen files are coming. [SPEAKER_02]: Bizarre F-steen files reference to Trump, Putin, and oral sex with Bubba draws scrutiny in Congress. [SPEAKER_02]: Really? [SPEAKER_02]: Bubba. [SPEAKER_02]: Look, look, first of all, [SPEAKER_02]: any of y'all who were listening that are over the edge of 40.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and especially if you're listening on, you know, folks like it down in Georgia now or on the detour, you probably know at least three or four bubbles. [SPEAKER_02]: Guys who go around it, who's nick name is Bubba? [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: So, the idea that there's a particular [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, that Trump we engaged in Felaccio on a particular Bubba is is you're like, okay, well, you know, and some people are like, oh, it's Bill Clinton.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, Bill Clinton is indiscriminate about a lot of things, but I don't think he was that indiscriminate does. [SPEAKER_09]: I don't, I don't think so. [SPEAKER_09]: No, but there might have been another guy. [SPEAKER_02]: But there have been a number of people with what I've seen is a number of people who are definitely against Trump have said is, thing is, keep talking about it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Because if you keep talking about it, he's going to have to address it at some point. [SPEAKER_02]: You worked chocolate. [SPEAKER_09]: That's just, I mean, the magas will hate the game, more than anything else. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, more than anything else. [SPEAKER_09]: And if he did do that, it was because he was forced to, [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, and I don't, you know, I couldn't carry on. [SPEAKER_09]: I don't like him, but I don't think that he would but I don't carry on.
[SPEAKER_02]: I couldn't carry a less if Trump was doing that. [SPEAKER_02]: What I care about is the fact that I am fairly certain that, in fact, obviously, Jeffrey Epstein said it, that Trump knew. [SPEAKER_02]: First he did what was going on. [SPEAKER_02]: And he did nothing to stop it. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_09]: And he might have been forced to... [SPEAKER_02]: Give a bubba a singing because that bubba might have known something certain people even call little dogs and cats Bubba to say it's just I wanted to be true [SPEAKER_02]: You can admit that. [SPEAKER_09]: I don't want it. [SPEAKER_09]: I don't want it to be true. [SPEAKER_09]: I don't think it is, but I want it to be true.
[SPEAKER_02]: You can admit you can admit that if sometimes, you know, if the truth comes out, and it's not true, that you will, in fact, because I doubt that this reporting is or the emails or whatever references that specifically. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't think it references that specifically either. [SPEAKER_02]: The fact of the matter is, hey, I don't yuck your young folks, whatever y'all want to do the other day. [SPEAKER_09]: Hey, Donnie, if you want to do that, baby, go, go.
[SPEAKER_02]: But unlike what Megan Kelly said, sex with underage, people is not good. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, right. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_09]: Always has been, always will be. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: So regardless of what Megan Kelly thinks, that is actually a, and in fact, it's actually in law that way, too. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yes. [SPEAKER_02]: So the whole thing is, [SPEAKER_02]: If Donald knew that was going on, and he did, and Jeffrey said that he did.
[SPEAKER_02]: And he didn't do anything to stop it. [SPEAKER_02]: That in and of itself, that right there. [SPEAKER_02]: That's the problem. [SPEAKER_02]: That's the problem. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: So, anyway, that's, we'll talk more about it. [SPEAKER_02]: There is a lot of other stuff going on in the news on tap. [SPEAKER_02]: The immigration wars have come to Charlottes. [SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about that. [SPEAKER_02]: Treppenomics is a big ass failure.
[SPEAKER_02]: And there are a number of successes. [SPEAKER_02]: I mentioned Aaron Fritchner's list. [SPEAKER_02]: We will go over that plus. [SPEAKER_02]: We got the drink of the day. [SPEAKER_02]: And you don't want to bet against that one. [SPEAKER_02]: Just saying.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're saying the impression of your drink and is a house always wins exactly baby the house always wins And you won't do if you stick around here the politics will be right back after we pay some bills at the politics bar [SPEAKER_02]: Tuesday nights. [SPEAKER_02]: No wait, it's Monday night. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm looking forward to Tuesday. [SPEAKER_08]: I get Tuesday. [SPEAKER_08]: What? [SPEAKER_02]: It is.
[SPEAKER_02]: It feels a little bit like a Tuesday. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm looking forward to Tuesday because tomorrow night we do have Richard Chu from WCD here. [SPEAKER_02]: We got some good guests coming up over the next few weeks. [SPEAKER_02]: And we will have some best of shows over that thanks giving holiday break. [SPEAKER_02]: So if you're, you know, stuck with family, you're not necessarily fans of. [SPEAKER_02]: Don't worry.
[SPEAKER_02]: We will be able to be there with you in spirit, with spirits, because after all, this is the politics bar. [SPEAKER_02]: So it is. [SPEAKER_02]: Make sure you're subscribed to the podcast and any of your favorite podcast players or at the politicsbar.com. [SPEAKER_02]: $6 a month. [SPEAKER_02]: Get to that podcast, add free, and of course, get you the drink of the day with the recipe and the news on tap for free. [SPEAKER_02]: Check it all out.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's there at the politicsbar.com. [SPEAKER_02]: All right, Judy. [SPEAKER_02]: So operations, Charlotte's web came to we said this was going to happen. [SPEAKER_02]: We said, but also the funny thing to me is, um, bovino basically got chased out. [SPEAKER_02]: So bovino and DHS, basically got chased out of Chicago and, you know, [SPEAKER_02]: Chicago y'all learn how to do stuff.
[SPEAKER_02]: You learn from the folks in the L.A. into the bar and the folks in the DC into the bar and Portland at every city that's experienced this has learned a little bit more. [SPEAKER_02]: Seems like the folks in Charlotte have taken all the lessons that everybody else around this great and don't want them there either. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but it's nice.
[SPEAKER_02]: The big thing is actually the the local officials there don't want them to local and state officials don't want them either. [SPEAKER_02]: because they're causing more trouble than they're worth. [SPEAKER_02]: So always, there was a piece, we didn't even get it into the news on tap today. [SPEAKER_02]: Said that somebody looked at numbers, actually, DOJ. [SPEAKER_02]: Trump's DOJ numbers.
[SPEAKER_02]: Said that of the 600 and some arrests or whatever it was that they had in the Chicago land area, that like 90, some percent of them I think had no criminal record. [UNKNOWN]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: They're not arresting criminals. [SPEAKER_02]: No, remember when Trump said, well, we're going to get the worst of the worst. [SPEAKER_02]: He was lying his sorry orange ass off. [SPEAKER_02]: So, yeah. [SPEAKER_09]: No, they're not. [SPEAKER_09]: They're not.
[SPEAKER_09]: If they were going to go to where the criminals are, that would be dangerous. [SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't know about that. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Mara Logo is not that. [SPEAKER_02]: Look, that is where criminals are. [SPEAKER_09]: it is, or at least one is for sure. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm just going to be on that. [SPEAKER_09]: But I mean, if they really wanted to go after the bad guys, they would not be in Georgetown or, you know, by the bean.
[SPEAKER_02]: It should come over and I mean, over near Jared's house. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, we talked about that when when Jared was in the barn and he's like, yes, they are not going to be at an elementary school looking for that guys.
[SPEAKER_02]: I admit as an elementary school kid, I would like there are some bad guys here, but those bad guys, even as an elementary school kid, I would have recognized that the bad guys that I would want somebody like DHS to go after are not the same as the bully in the school. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: Admittedly, they are both bullies and that's just on a spectrum and whatever, but different kind of bully.
[SPEAKER_09]: No, I mean, seriously, if they really wanted to go after the bad guys, they wouldn't have been in parts of Los Angeles that are not [SPEAKER_02]: They wouldn't be going after people in Portland in frog costumes. [SPEAKER_09]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_09]: Or at the Home Depot. [SPEAKER_02]: It was interesting though in our interview with Mayor Bass, which, you know, we've got the link to the YouTube channel up in the contact at the politicsbar.com.
[SPEAKER_02]: So if you guys missed that, we'll put up a few more interviews as we're getting more of the video stuff ready there. [SPEAKER_02]: But Mayor Bass said to us last week that they are still having there. [SPEAKER_02]: It's still happening. [SPEAKER_08]: It's stupid. [SPEAKER_02]: It's dumb, but remember, the coverage goes away and then we think, oh, it's it's done and Jared has said here in DC. [SPEAKER_02]: No, it's not. [SPEAKER_02]: We've heard from Karen in Chicago.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's still going on. [SPEAKER_02]: You say they're mayor bass says in LA. [SPEAKER_02]: She says, you know, it's it's not a lot, but there is still abuse of the yard. [SPEAKER_09]: I mean, it's not as prominent.
[SPEAKER_02]: But it's still happening in your poly what I mean, there's not especially that was going on on social media over the weekend and I remind you Greg Sargent over the new Republic of what Glenn Kirchner said here a couple weeks ago here in the bar that there is no statute of limitations on Posse Comotadas so if National Guard or any military service member engages in anything that's an illegal act for example Posse Comotadas anything that is not stated
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, as this is a specific crime, I believe it has either a five or seven-year statute of limitations normally, but if things don't have any statute, there are certain things like that that it's open-ended. [SPEAKER_02]: And possibly, commentators is one of those things. [SPEAKER_02]: And that can develop a broad array of things. [SPEAKER_02]: So a lot of the stuff that they are having these DHS, the ice monsters, and water patrol do.
[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of that stuff is under that, which means that for the next 40 or 50 years, however long these guys are going to be alive, [SPEAKER_02]: If the government decides at any point in time, we're going to have to them, they're gone. [SPEAKER_02]: They can end up in prison for five years. [SPEAKER_09]: And remember that the FBI just warned us all that there are people that are cosplaying as I say.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so who do we know is the actual people and then in Chicago there was actually that federal judge that said you got to where you're where your name and absolutely look, it is it is dumb for them to try to be doing some of these things. [SPEAKER_02]: There are some good pieces in there including a good piece from Chris Guyner that you pulled out from law dork. [SPEAKER_02]: love that book. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, do you know any of the history about Mr. White?
[SPEAKER_02]: I do not, but I love that book. [SPEAKER_02]: He was an activist against fascism. [SPEAKER_02]: He was a pro-democracy activist. [SPEAKER_02]: The way that Bovino did some of this stuff. [SPEAKER_02]: First of all, he basically said these are all cavenostops, aka racial profiling. [SPEAKER_02]: Yep. [SPEAKER_02]: The other thing is, they named the Operation Charlotte's Web. [SPEAKER_02]: It had to, and so he even used a quote from E.B. [SPEAKER_02]: White.
[SPEAKER_02]: But Vino did when he was talking to some local media there over the weekend. [SPEAKER_02]: They're trolling. [SPEAKER_02]: They're doing it on purpose, because this is the only thing that maggots do. [SPEAKER_02]: The only thing that maggots know how to do is troll other people to make the man. [SPEAKER_02]: That's it. [SPEAKER_02]: They, they are the worst annoying obnoxious turn of a little child. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_02]: Did your mom ever tell you this?
[SPEAKER_02]: When I was little, she would be like, if you, you know, if I was bad, my mom especially if I had to, sometimes my mom would be like, you know, if you're trying to get attention, bad attention is not good. [SPEAKER_02]: So if you're trying to do, if you're doing something and there are some kids who, all they want is attention. [SPEAKER_09]: So what is attention is attention. [SPEAKER_02]: Right, exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: Chubby is right.
[SPEAKER_02]: But at the same time, it's not good. [SPEAKER_02]: Negative attention is not good. [SPEAKER_02]: Now, but that's what these maggots like Bovino were doing. [SPEAKER_02]: They're trying to get negative attention. [SPEAKER_02]: Look at me, look at me, look at me. [SPEAKER_02]: I can look at you behind bars, Bivina. [SPEAKER_02]: How about that? [SPEAKER_02]: How can we do that? [SPEAKER_09]: I can't wait for that. [SPEAKER_02]: There will be a point. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure.
[SPEAKER_02]: But I cannot wait. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm just like, oh. [SPEAKER_02]: Thing is, when I talk about people like that and these monsters that have done these things in the Trump regime, it makes me frustrated and furious and we know it does for a lot of you guys out there too.
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so one of the things that I mentioned earlier, um, deputy chief of staff for representative Don buyer, Democrat here in Northern Virginia in the house, um, he had a list over the weekend over on Blue sky and, uh, we'll put it out there. [SPEAKER_02]: We'll, we'll make sure to well, um, put it out there tonight as well after we after we get out here and we'll, we'll do that later. [SPEAKER_02]: Um, so you guys can track it down.
[SPEAKER_02]: not be so frustrated, not not be so worried, not be so down. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, there are a lot of things about this year that have sucked. [SPEAKER_02]: However, right now the Trump regime in the maggots are really getting routed and they're in retreat on a lot of big things. [SPEAKER_02]: First of all, the elections. [SPEAKER_02]: It only happened two weeks ago to borrow, but we beat the pants off of them.
[SPEAKER_02]: And as some of these elections are finishing up, what does it believe is it Seattle has a brand new [SPEAKER_02]: uh... even more progressive mayor and believe they've got a more progressive uh... attorney now as well yes yes that was that was just came over what week not even that was the friday i think i thought it was friday when that was finalized yet uh... so i mean you know folks that the the elections are not something yes it was two weeks ago oh my god two weeks ago
[SPEAKER_02]: I realize that as things flow as fast as they do these days, yeah, you're like, oh my god, that was two weeks ago. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, that was two weeks ago. [SPEAKER_09]: So it was two weeks a year and 17 years ago. [SPEAKER_09]: I mean, it's just like that. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it feels that way. [SPEAKER_02]: I get it. [SPEAKER_02]: I get it. [SPEAKER_02]: But breathe. [SPEAKER_02]: It's okay. [SPEAKER_02]: So so a couple of weeks ago, we did that. [SPEAKER_02]: It's great.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's great. [SPEAKER_02]: We kicked out some of the elections. [SPEAKER_02]: The other thing for it is Fishing and Reminds us of the tariffs. [SPEAKER_02]: Um, so Donald Trump and some of the Republicans have changed this around and they are now trying to call these tariff reductions targeted tariff reductions are doing. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they're saying that they're pivoting to affordability. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, they're jumping on the good word. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: They are trying to take Democrats, had a steam, and steal a little for themselves. [SPEAKER_02]: Still little of that power, still letting it's like hell, no, no, no, no, you can't be doing that, no, no, no, no. [SPEAKER_02]: The fact that they are even willing to lower the tariffs at all is a quite admission that they are losing the trade wars. [SPEAKER_02]: Trade wars that Donald Trump started started, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: He is changing the tariffs and because he is losing the trade wars that he started. [SPEAKER_09]: But he keeps saying that prices are lower because of the tariffs and we're doing really well and he hasn't 92% approval rating in his mind. [SPEAKER_02]: He's not well. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, anybody who thinks 92% of anything thinks that he's doing a good job is not well. [SPEAKER_09]: First off, we haven't had a 92% approval rating for a president in forever. [SPEAKER_09]: Right.
[SPEAKER_09]: If ever. [SPEAKER_09]: Um, but. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know if there that has been ever yet. [SPEAKER_02]: No, but not Russia yet and as long as we keep fighting won't be. [SPEAKER_02]: Fritzner has some other things too. [SPEAKER_02]: He says first of all, uh, so the elections were good redistricting is also good. [SPEAKER_02]: We got some stories on that in the news on tap today. [SPEAKER_02]: Um, the redistricting redistricting stuff.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm actually, you know, pretty happy with because of the fact that, uh, so Indiana, [SPEAKER_02]: decided they could not get things done. [SPEAKER_02]: We've actually got that down in the fourth round under the election land section. [SPEAKER_02]: Any and a state senate leader says there are not enough for public invoids for Trump's redistricting push to succeed so they're not going to do it. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, didn't one get swatted?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, one of the Republicans that Trump called out because, well, why why don't you do this? [SPEAKER_02]: Somebody called the SWAT team on their house, which is just [SPEAKER_02]: awful, awful and as an eye, but the fact is it goes along with the the elections that we want. [SPEAKER_02]: They are losing. [SPEAKER_02]: In fact, so if Republicans were counting on Indiana and they were they were counting on getting one or two seats. [SPEAKER_02]: Now they won't.
[SPEAKER_02]: They weren't counting on Virginia and Virginia is going ahead and Democrats may pick up as many as four seats in Virginia. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm happy about that too. [SPEAKER_02]: So the idea is, you know, and Maryland might do it as well. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Westmore is pushing forward on that. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, the Carlos is, you know, go Westmore, go Westmore. [SPEAKER_02]: I like Carlos and Westmore.
[SPEAKER_02]: I like them both, but you know, we see we can both and the, of course, the funny thing is if we got Carlos and Westmore in here, it would just be Carlos going high with more West to be like, as little weird Carlos, just saying. [SPEAKER_09]: He might have to kiss his feet like Stephanie. [SPEAKER_02]: That has been so funny that so much of the media has been like, oh my god, I got to talk to Stephanie Miller now because she's doing this up with I'm sorry.
[SPEAKER_09]: It was amazing, but sir, as she was right on Sean Hannity show doing news. [SPEAKER_09]: It's not. [SPEAKER_02]: They're doing the same thing that Trump through Republicans are doing on the tariffs. [SPEAKER_02]: Democrats have been hitting on affordability. [SPEAKER_02]: We've been hitting on affordability here in bars since the day we opened this even before. [SPEAKER_02]: And now some Republicans are trying to steal a little bit of that thunder, and in the same way.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, staff got a ton of media hits and suddenly some of these other media outlets and media people who Some of them have been not exactly responsive to getting back to her and then all of a sudden they were like, Oh, come on, my show. [SPEAKER_02]: Come on, my show come talk to me. [SPEAKER_02]: Come on, I was like, whatever. [SPEAKER_09]: I'd laugh, you know what, you got to do what you got to do and you get hurt. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, exactly with her on that.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm I'm very glad that our friend Stephanie is doing such a good job on that, which is hilarious, so it's kicking some butt. [SPEAKER_02]: And then of course she had on Jody Sweeten aka Stephanie Tanner and she also swore twice twice twice. [SPEAKER_02]: I like her potty mouth if you didn't know if you just looked at Jody Sweeten and you'd be like, well first of all, [SPEAKER_02]: I meant she gets on the air, and that's two s-bombs.
[SPEAKER_02]: Girl. [SPEAKER_09]: Just a girl after my own heart. [SPEAKER_02]: Look as a sailor as someone who, you know, I've got broadcast mind right now, so I'm not swearing. [SPEAKER_02]: But that doesn't mean in my head, I'm not swearing. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, God, both of them. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: So nice. [SPEAKER_02]: any of you. [SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, so many bombs in my head. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: One of the last one on Fisher's List.
[SPEAKER_02]: So Fisher's List is is a pretty solid list, but one of the last parts about it is actually pretty cool. [SPEAKER_02]: And then he says the Epstein files are actually a loss for him in a whole lot of ways, because Maga is turning against Donald Trump. [SPEAKER_02]: because that was one of the things that he sold them on, is that he would get in and that he was going to go after this group of elites that are screwing them and screwing kids.
[SPEAKER_02]: And now, more and more of them trust Donald Trump less and less. [SPEAKER_02]: And it's a win. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not the kind of thing, look, or we're the broad left, independence, former Republicans, Democrats, [SPEAKER_02]: We can do more than one thing at a time. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, we need to be focused on the ACA, and yes, we'll talk about that later, but we also need to be focused among other things.
[SPEAKER_02]: on this Epstein thing because that is dividing Donald from maga and that's really important. [SPEAKER_02]: So look, we are heading to the break here, journey went to the back to get some glasses. [SPEAKER_02]: So we will come back, we've got the drink of the day coming up. [SPEAKER_02]: You gonna like this one? [SPEAKER_02]: In fact, I bet you will like this one. [SPEAKER_02]: Come on back, we will do the drink of the day next here at the politics bar on a Monday night.
[SPEAKER_04]: We'll be right back after we pay some bills at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_02]: It is a Monday night. [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't mess it up this time. [SPEAKER_02]: My promise. [SPEAKER_02]: It's Monday night here. [SPEAKER_02]: I did. [SPEAKER_02]: Look, it happens. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, you didn't mess nothing up. [SPEAKER_02]: You wasn't back. [SPEAKER_02]: You doing stuff? [SPEAKER_02]: Look, we are very glad you guys are hanging out with us.
[SPEAKER_02]: Wherever you're coming in from, and we're very glad for those of you who are listening on a podcast as well. [SPEAKER_02]: It's really nice, by the way, to help out your friends. [SPEAKER_02]: One of the things you could do is help out Jody and I. [SPEAKER_02]: Subscribe at the politicsbar.com. [SPEAKER_02]: $6 a month. [SPEAKER_02]: Less than a buck 50 a week.
[SPEAKER_02]: get you the podcast at free it gets you the drink of the day with the recipe which is important and it also gets you the news on tap check it out it's there at the politics bar back home yeah you you uh you you said yes and then you you turned around and and you zipped off and I was like okay what so I don't know what it was you had to do in the back it was fine kiddies will probably knocking something over whatever these things happen in a bar people you know somebody says hang on something I'll be right back sure disappear so
[SPEAKER_02]: any who but jouty's back you know jouty jouty didn't disappear into the desert not yet you know for example in uh... that nineteen ninety five film casino yeah no point see for those of you who already subscribed to the drink of the day you guys know exactly what we're talking about here we we went what is the drink of the day today it's called a casino cocktail [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_09]: Inspired by it's Martin Scorsese's birthday today.
[SPEAKER_02]: How old is he by the way? [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, he was born in 42. [SPEAKER_09]: So let's do some math. [SPEAKER_02]: Um, 42, 63. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, her. [SPEAKER_09]: He was born in Queens. [SPEAKER_02]: He's a youngster. [SPEAKER_09]: He's just good. [SPEAKER_02]: Not that kind.
[SPEAKER_09]: different kind of baba he's born in Queens they moved to little Italy in Manhattan because boy he was kicked out of seminary school did you see the documentary that they did [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I've not seen all of it, but it's good. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry, the idea of Martin Scorsese. [SPEAKER_09]: As a priest? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that just doesn't. [SPEAKER_09]: I think that was the right thing for them to do.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I think it was very accidentally the thing that he, you know, although honestly, he's probably with the UCCB, the conference of Catholic Bishops, they put out a video today as well, speaking out against Trump's immigration crackdown. [SPEAKER_09]: That's for them. [SPEAKER_02]: So he would have been in that. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm pretty sure, I'm pretty sure Marty would have been in that one. [SPEAKER_09]: He would have absolutely, um, don't, I mean, I, I know Brian De Palma's son.
[SPEAKER_09]: I went to school with him. [SPEAKER_09]: Cool. [SPEAKER_09]: I, um, I mean, he was, he is. [SPEAKER_09]: Mr. Scarsazzy is one of the best filmmakers and his editor helps him a lot. [SPEAKER_02]: Look, it's a team effort when you're doing that. [SPEAKER_02]: You know that, Joe. [SPEAKER_02]: It is. [SPEAKER_02]: Anybody who's involved in entertainment, hell, anybody, we help each other out here. [SPEAKER_02]: And we have help occasionally from some of our friends, too.
[SPEAKER_02]: So any, this is when, when you're doing anything fun, you gotta have help. [SPEAKER_09]: And he's a hell of a filmmaker. [SPEAKER_09]: I mean, there's no doubt about that. [SPEAKER_09]: And his mom has been in all of his movies. [SPEAKER_02]: not all of them. [SPEAKER_02]: A lot of them. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, most a lot of them, a lot of them.
[SPEAKER_02]: Robert De Niro has been in and Robert De Niro, by the way, also somebody who is speaking out against Trump quite a bit, which we love that. [SPEAKER_02]: We love that, a senior De Niro that is perfection, so. [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, look, if you like more of the history about, you know, Mr. Scorsese and some of his mob movies, we have that in the drink of the day. [SPEAKER_02]: It's pretty good. [SPEAKER_02]: But I want to get to the drink because I'm a little thirsty.
[SPEAKER_02]: I rightfully, you can tell I'm pushing him. [SPEAKER_02]: I want to, I want to drink. [SPEAKER_02]: I want to drink now. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, you haven't got to get a drink. [SPEAKER_02]: Jody, what is in the casino cocktail? [SPEAKER_09]: All right. [SPEAKER_09]: You're going to need a mixing glass? [SPEAKER_09]: Okay. [SPEAKER_09]: A pre-chilled, nicknore glass. [SPEAKER_09]: We've used those plenty of times. [SPEAKER_06]: Okay. [SPEAKER_09]: A gelip strainer.
[SPEAKER_09]: Specific. [SPEAKER_06]: I guess. [SPEAKER_09]: Two ounces of gin. [SPEAKER_09]: Okay. [SPEAKER_09]: A quarter ounce of fresh lemon juice, a quarter of an ounce of Luxardo Marcino liqueur, which is a cherry kind of liqueur. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: We got the link for that. [SPEAKER_09]: We do. [SPEAKER_09]: Two dashes of orange bitters and you garnish with a cherry. [SPEAKER_09]: Maracino. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, I'm. [SPEAKER_02]: Makes sense.
[SPEAKER_09]: So what you do is you add the gin lemon juice, the Maracino liqueur, the orange bitters. [SPEAKER_02]: Gin and juice. [SPEAKER_09]: The gin and juice. [SPEAKER_02]: That's different. [SPEAKER_09]: And the Marciano and the Orange bitters soon mixing glass feel free to shake you don't have to. [SPEAKER_09]: Okay. [SPEAKER_09]: You can stir it if you like. [SPEAKER_09]: All right.
[SPEAKER_09]: Add the ice, stir until frosty, cold and then strain into the Nick and Oregon glass and garnish with the cocktail cherry. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_09]: The house always wins by the way. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: It's right up. [SPEAKER_09]: Unless it's a Trump casino. [SPEAKER_09]: It's already as 100% right on that. [SPEAKER_09]: Bing the house. [SPEAKER_02]: Nobody has accused Donald Trump.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, nobody legitimate has accused Donald Trump of being intelligent. [SPEAKER_09]: Or a good business man. [SPEAKER_02]: Joe, he's right on that, too. [SPEAKER_02]: Look if he missed any part of the drink of the day, you guys know what to do. [SPEAKER_02]: Check it out. [SPEAKER_02]: It's all there at the politicsbar.com. [SPEAKER_02]: All right, uh, back to that news on tap. [SPEAKER_02]: I think air fresher's list is pretty good to be honest.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, reasons basically for those of us who are on this side of decency to, you know, be looking and saying, you know, it's been a hard year, but we've been kicking the ass of the bad guys on the elections, on the redistricting, on the tariffs, and now on Epstein. [SPEAKER_02]: We don't pretty good. [SPEAKER_02]: All things considered were actually doing relatively good. [SPEAKER_02]: Amen. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Look, you have to consider it not in a perfect world.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you are judging everything by a perfect world, you are going to be disappointed every day of your life. [SPEAKER_02]: Amen. [SPEAKER_02]: So, just, you know, breathe as far as I go. [SPEAKER_02]: The shutdown effects, things are still happening a little bit from that. [SPEAKER_02]: Thanksgiving air traffic is expected to be back to normal after the reopening, which [SPEAKER_02]: And I say it would be like five to ten days.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: They will leave. [SPEAKER_02]: So there you go. [SPEAKER_02]: There's that. [SPEAKER_02]: Unfortunately, though, the snap food assistance is back for now. [SPEAKER_02]: But a lot of people forgot this. [SPEAKER_02]: It's one of the reasons we put this happens to be in the news on tap today. [SPEAKER_02]: It's an ad. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a not an ad. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a journalism right up. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a story.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a news report from political pointing out that the snap food assistance is back. [SPEAKER_02]: But the Republicans big ugly bill, remember, took some major cuts to that. [SPEAKER_09]: So, aren't people having to resine up for it now, too? [SPEAKER_02]: I think there's some of that. [SPEAKER_02]: I want to get more of the details to it.
[SPEAKER_02]: The piece that we have in there is more of an overarching look, but the biggest point about this is the fact that the hardships that we are going to continue to be going through as we go through this holiday season and in the next year, those are all from Republican Day. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not what Democrats do. [SPEAKER_02]: Nope. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not what Independence do. [SPEAKER_02]: Nope. [SPEAKER_02]: This is Republicans. [SPEAKER_02]: This is Maga Republicans.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yep. [SPEAKER_02]: So just point your blame in a correct place. [SPEAKER_02]: Remember to do that. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_02]: Thanksgiving. [SPEAKER_02]: What is Thanksgiving like in your house, Jodie? [SPEAKER_09]: Well, we're going to go to Lonnie's mom's, this, this Thanksgiving. [SPEAKER_09]: I used to have a friend's giving for years. [SPEAKER_09]: Yay! [SPEAKER_09]: Where I would make a lasagna and then somebody would come over and make a turkey.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_09]: I actually had a friend of mine made a turkey duck in one year. [SPEAKER_09]: Okay, but we have you know 20 or 30 people over and just makes sense. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, you know, and it was all wait it was all like You don't have to yeah basically and it was basically we would just have people over like if you don't want to go home [SPEAKER_09]: You don't want to see your family. [SPEAKER_09]: You can come here. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, and that was for years.
[SPEAKER_09]: I had that. [SPEAKER_09]: I started those. [SPEAKER_09]: God, when I first moved in, uh, thirty two years ago, and we, now I go to my brothers. [SPEAKER_09]: We're going to line his moms or something, so I don't have to go. [SPEAKER_09]: Uh, I mean, I haven't done one of those in a good 15, maybe 20 years. [SPEAKER_02]: We have, we have a friend who, um, you know, uh, [SPEAKER_02]: parents are not necessarily doing well older and less healthy.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so they're going to visit their back in Nebraska, whatever. [SPEAKER_02]: But they live here in the DC in the bar. [SPEAKER_02]: And Sarah and I have done the friends giving with them a number of times. [SPEAKER_02]: And that's it's fun. [SPEAKER_02]: It's it's friends giving is a good thing to do. [SPEAKER_09]: It's my favorite holiday. [SPEAKER_02]: I like holidays like that. [SPEAKER_02]: I like holidays.
[SPEAKER_02]: At least do kind of a similar thing and you know, Fourth of July where you just get together and have a bunch of people get together and then pot luck and everybody breaks up. [SPEAKER_02]: And they like and people's hey, try this and whatever. [SPEAKER_02]: And it's fun just to get together and chat with your friends. [SPEAKER_02]: And that's one of the reasons, you know, we know you guys here at the bar enjoy it.
[SPEAKER_02]: You guys come here and you're like, hey, hang on, hang on, chat with you guys, you by the way, you can chat with us and send us more of your comments as well. [SPEAKER_02]: you know where we're at on all of our social media, whether it happens to be blue sky or Instagram, Facebook, Substack, Threads or Twitter and yes, you can even leave comments on our YouTube page. [SPEAKER_02]: We're all there.
[SPEAKER_02]: Also, by the way, if you want to leave this voice mail, you can do that, too. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, certain folks in Seattle who I will be polite and not name this evening. [SPEAKER_02]: Not that there's there's there's more people than than leave voicemails than that.
[SPEAKER_02]: But look you want to leave a voicemail two one three six seven seven seventy two fifty eight two one three six seven seven seven seven seven seven seven seven seven seven seven seven seven seven We did have a couple more comments a scano over a blue sky corner of the bar here.
[SPEAKER_02]: He said if an 18 year two day old black man was to have sex with a 17 year old 360 day old white girl Megan Kelly would demand that person be in prison for absolutely [SPEAKER_09]: She even says that Jesus was white. [SPEAKER_09]: No, he was not. [SPEAKER_02]: Jesus was not white, Megan. [SPEAKER_09]: He was a little leased her man. [SPEAKER_02]: Brown skin, too. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: We can ask John Hugo sign when he's here later in the week, but yes, he was not.
[SPEAKER_09]: He was painted white. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, yeah, and a lot of, you know, and well, I'm to full play them white, but not a white guy. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, see, when when you bring stuff to whatever your holiday gathering is, if you bring cheese, sure, then you can bring crackers. [SPEAKER_02]: But if you're talking about Jesus, do not assume that he was a cracker, especially if you're mad. [SPEAKER_02]: Just saying Jesus was not a cracker now.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, Stephanie played that this morning. [SPEAKER_09]: Santa was white and Santa's Sorry kids Um, and some people Jody I can't believe you said that, sir. [SPEAKER_09]: I honestly I do think that the spirit of Santa Claus is real He yes, I agree and then violent night is one of my favorite Christmas movies so there's that [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I don't necessarily think that Santa would be a hundred percent down with that. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_09]: I mean, what?
[SPEAKER_09]: It was a great movie. [SPEAKER_02]: There you go. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, maybe he would. [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I'm wrong on that. [SPEAKER_02]: Darrell, by the way, over in the blue sky corner of the bar, also said, so he was, he's back to talking about the subject we were talking about earlier, Bubba, and Trump. [SPEAKER_02]: And he said, is it possible that the email should have said, down from blue bubbles? [SPEAKER_02]: Because he would be the man for the job.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm always like, that's, that's not true. [SPEAKER_02]: You don't want to say the Donald from, if you're talking about somebody who's going to blow bubbles, the man for that job is Michael Jackson. [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, that has been a joke of mine since he took that chimp on as a peasant. [SPEAKER_02]: What the hell? [SPEAKER_09]: I knew the guy that trained that chimp, so. [SPEAKER_02]: Naming a chimp, naming a chimp bubbles, come on man, that's, yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: I know the guy that trained that chimp. [SPEAKER_02]: Frank, you know, I mean, [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for everybody who comments from what ever corner of the bar you happen to be in because that is, you know, I'm so amazed by what are our other friends, Bruce Bartlett mentioned this through another channel. [SPEAKER_02]: He said they have Trump telling House Republicans to vote yes, on releasing the Epstein files. [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe the nutty is thing he's ever done.
[SPEAKER_02]: If he wants the files released, all he has to do is release it's really, exactly. [SPEAKER_09]: He has the control over that. [SPEAKER_09]: He released it in a million different files. [SPEAKER_09]: I mean, come on. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, which we didn't have room in there for the news on tap today for that, but yes, National Archives is releasing some of the Amelia Earhart files, so. [SPEAKER_09]: Because it's so important for us right now.
[SPEAKER_02]: Everything they're doing is trying to distract from Epstein, trying to distract from their failed economy, trying to distract from the fact that they got their ass whacked. [SPEAKER_02]: Yep. [SPEAKER_02]: Elections. [SPEAKER_02]: Because all the stuff they have, [SPEAKER_02]: garbage. [SPEAKER_02]: So any. [SPEAKER_02]: All right, next hour, we have more news on tap. [SPEAKER_02]: We'll do a little bit of that entertainment news for you as well.
[SPEAKER_02]: Coming out of the top of the hour here for a Brooklyn Dad to find exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: It's good. [SPEAKER_02]: It's some good news. [SPEAKER_02]: You can jump around about it if you. [SPEAKER_02]: I know. [SPEAKER_09]: Jump on your couch, maybe. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, for somebody else's couch, unless you're JD Vance, and then we don't want to live in America, which freshen up your drink, do what you've got to do, left writer center, go down the hall.
[SPEAKER_02]: We aimed to please you aim to please, and come on back in just a few minutes, right here on a Monday night at the Paltons Park. [SPEAKER_04]: It's political, and he's ready to come. [SPEAKER_03]: You think it's far, wherever you are, the politics march. [SPEAKER_03]: Shotsmith, Pearson, Jody Hamilton. [SPEAKER_09]: Jody, Jody, Jody, Jody, Jody, Jody. [SPEAKER_09]: Shoney, Shoney, Shoney, Shoney, Shoney. [SPEAKER_09]: How many of them?
[SPEAKER_02]: Wait, sir, on, I mentioned at the top of last hour, people should actually go. [SPEAKER_02]: If you check out the politics bar store, go to politicsbar.com. [SPEAKER_02]: You can get your own a very cool t-shirt and me just as cool as Jody. [SPEAKER_02]: And at some point very soon, we will get the videos up more than just a couple of interviews. [SPEAKER_02]: We will get those up on the YouTube page, so there you go.
[SPEAKER_02]: Look, no matter what shirt you're wearing, hopefully you're wearing something. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm very, very glad you are here. [SPEAKER_02]: You are here in the park. [SPEAKER_02]: Come on, we don't let people walk in all neck and stuff. [SPEAKER_02]: Big pegs of your listening. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm Georgian Owr radio in the ATL or maybe you are listening. [SPEAKER_02]: I am 9.50, many Apple St. Paul.
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you are listening on the detour talk in Tennessee or AMA 20 Chicago WCPT. [SPEAKER_02]: progressive voices radio worldwide wherever you happen to be. [SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I mean, I don't I don't judge If you're listening to the podcast and you happen to be rolling around your house neck and clothes neck and That's we're not gonna yuck you're young exactly you want to do it. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm that's up that's up to you I'm not I mean look there there.
[SPEAKER_02]: I have known some naturalists I believe that's what they call themselves and I'm perfectly fine with that y'all do whatever you want to do [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I just happen to be it's it's getting kind of chilly in this portion of the bar and chilly here
[SPEAKER_09]: not like you guys but it's chilly ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
[SPEAKER_09]: people are holding tables over their heads. [SPEAKER_09]: It was very funny. [SPEAKER_09]: I think it was a Spencer Garrett posted it and then I reposted it. [SPEAKER_02]: We'll have to, we'll have to see if we can put that up on the surface. [SPEAKER_02]: It was so funny because it is so fun areas. [SPEAKER_02]: It's one of those things. [SPEAKER_02]: I love, look, I have lived in California one point time when I was in the Navy, you know, I lived in San Diego.
[SPEAKER_02]: actually when I lived in San Diego, there was a period where it rained every day for almost a month. [SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, that Lee can't happen. [SPEAKER_02]: But at least, I mean, the days were warm, you know, there's plenty of nice places in California, but I do often find it funny that people in California, some people in in certain areas of the South, people in Florida.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like being from Nebraska where people are like, and it's funny because depending on the time of year that it is people are like, is it cold there? [SPEAKER_02]: Is it warm there? [SPEAKER_02]: And the answer is yes. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: All of the above. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: All the above cycling in five minute intervals. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: And I think I'm joking sometimes. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm really not.
[SPEAKER_02]: There is, you know, no Nebraska and a lot of the Midwest gets, you know, some really weird ass weather like that. [SPEAKER_02]: It can be really hot one day and cold and snowy the net. [SPEAKER_02]: uh... there you go exactly again where where the snow evaporates literally into the air it doesn't melt a lot of it just literally goes turns into gas what i mean there's a song calls it called it never rains in california right it does
[SPEAKER_02]: it does and when it does there are a lot of people who forget I have to admit um... some of the the driver's who were out here in the the dc metro area the dmv as we call a dc marlin virginia um... i won't say which of those three has the worst drivers but when it rains they suddenly oh my god i've got to keep time i can't drive you're like what the hell's wrong with you man
[SPEAKER_09]: When I visited Bob Cesca and Kimberly in Maryland a few years ago, it was pouring rain when we drove from DC to Maryland. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I noticed the idiot drivers there too. [SPEAKER_09]: It was like, okay, and my friend, Amanda was like, okay, you're very good at this.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm like, well, [SPEAKER_02]: Bob said practice, you know, Bob said a lot of practice, but yes, there are a lot of a lot of, a lot of places where people are just like, oh my God, the weather, they freak out and I'm like, dude, it's, yeah, so it was as somebody who grew up in Nebraska, you wait five minutes, eh, the weather changes. [SPEAKER_02]: So, um, back to the news on tap because, you know, we said we were going to do some entertainment news and we will.
[SPEAKER_02]: We are big congratulations to Tom Cruise. [SPEAKER_02]: Who, whether you like him or not, whether you think he's a little bit weird, whether you think you know jumping up and down on the couch. [SPEAKER_02]: At least he's not, you know, doing other things with the couch, we'll get a UJD. [SPEAKER_02]: Thomas never actually won an Academy award. [SPEAKER_09]: He's been nominated three times as an actor and one time as a producer.
[SPEAKER_02]: Which I was kind of surprised at because I was like, are you kidding me? [SPEAKER_09]: I mean, par on the Fourth of July alone. [SPEAKER_02]: I would have thought he would have just slid in there on his socks. [SPEAKER_02]: But no, no, so now he's got a lifetime achievement honorary Oscar, so that's wonderful for him and Dolly Parton got something. [SPEAKER_09]: Everybody got something. [SPEAKER_02]: Parton got, oh yeah, Debbie Allen.
[SPEAKER_09]: Debbie Allen, who worked with my sister, Carrie, on fame. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, Debbie Allen, who, yeah, I just like Debbie Allen. [SPEAKER_09]: She kicks to the right really well. [SPEAKER_02]: box office upset over the weekend now you see me three got a 75.5 million dollar global weekend haul and the running man movie only got 28 million.
[SPEAKER_09]: So is it called it that now you see me is now you see me now you don't is that the correct it's I think it's what is the third it's the third one in that series and at least they didn't go three. [SPEAKER_02]: Well they've got a lot of [SPEAKER_02]: So I'm, you know, they have the voice of God, aka Morgan Freeman. [SPEAKER_02]: Always. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: But the interesting thing is that a lot of people were promoting the running man thing, I think a lot of people forgot. [SPEAKER_02]: If I remember correctly, didn't Steven Spielberg, or no, not Steven, didn't Steven King write the running man originally. [SPEAKER_09]: Maybe the original? [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, the book, maybe. [SPEAKER_02]: Uh-huh. [SPEAKER_02]: And what is the rule with Stephen King movies, as far as that goes, books made in the movies? [SPEAKER_09]: Make them good?
[SPEAKER_02]: Most people can't, that's the problem. [SPEAKER_02]: It's difficult. [SPEAKER_02]: They cannot make movies that he does, books that he does into good movies. [SPEAKER_02]: They simply can't. [SPEAKER_08]: It's difficult. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, he's a hell of a writer and it's hard to turn something that he, I mean, some have been really good, but yeah, what his writing is one thing and try to do the thousand words in a picture. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, I'm correct.
[SPEAKER_02]: A, you know, it was, it was fine. [SPEAKER_02]: It was an 80's sci-fi movie. [SPEAKER_02]: That's fine. [SPEAKER_02]: Whatever. [SPEAKER_02]: But there were so many people who were prone is, oh, it's going to be great. [SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, it's a Stephen King movie. [SPEAKER_02]: And I love Stephen King's books. [SPEAKER_02]: But I have long, long, long since stopped expecting anybody who makes a movie from Stephen King's books. [SPEAKER_02]: Definitely.
[SPEAKER_09]: Well, some can do it. [SPEAKER_09]: Well, I mean, there's a, well, [SPEAKER_02]: And nothing against what's his name? [SPEAKER_02]: The guy who's the star? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Glenn. [SPEAKER_02]: What's his name? [SPEAKER_02]: He did set it in at live, and I guess they did pretty good set it in at live episode this last week. [SPEAKER_02]: And this I a couple clips from him. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, okay, that's cool.
[SPEAKER_02]: But I just, you know, it's to me, it is a long thing of when you take a Stephen King book and somebody tries to make it a movie. [SPEAKER_02]: Like the Gunslinger. [SPEAKER_02]: I love the Gunslinger series of books. [SPEAKER_02]: The movie that they did, even though I liked the actors, it was just as, not so good. [SPEAKER_02]: Hey, look who just walked into the door. [SPEAKER_02]: Hi, buddy. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god. [SPEAKER_02]: Come on, man. [SPEAKER_02]: Look at this.
[SPEAKER_02]: We are both actually dressed somewhat nice tonight for Jody. [SPEAKER_02]: She's got on one of our bar shirts, which is awesome. [SPEAKER_02]: I've got a collar shirt on. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: I like the shirt, Jody. [SPEAKER_02]: And so to you, I'm sitting here going, man. [SPEAKER_02]: We're almost over dressed tonight. [SPEAKER_07]: You know? [SPEAKER_07]: I'm trying to class up the joint a little bit, right?
[UNKNOWN]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Sound them like a mobster by the way. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, mobster related stuff is in the drink of the day. [SPEAKER_02]: If you missed it, we had that last hour. [SPEAKER_02]: Go check it out. [SPEAKER_02]: Politicsbar.com. [SPEAKER_09]: See now, some of the Stephen King movies like, uh, stand by me. [SPEAKER_02]: Great. [SPEAKER_02]: Fantastic. [SPEAKER_02]: Fantastic story. [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_02]: Fantastic story. [SPEAKER_02]: Stand by me?
[SPEAKER_09]: See that movie? [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, you should. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, hi, Nate. [SPEAKER_07]: It's my, that's my gigal of shame. [SPEAKER_09]: No, it's okay. [SPEAKER_09]: The dead zone was good. [UNKNOWN]: Good. [SPEAKER_02]: No. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, of course, Dead's on his martin sheen who, by the way, he had another podcast drop yesterday. [SPEAKER_09]: Missouri. [SPEAKER_02]: Of course. [SPEAKER_07]: So, I feel a huge, huge Stephen King fan. [SPEAKER_02]: Shawshank.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I mean, I mean, of course, Shawshank Redemption, the shabby mile and how many how many crap how many crap how many crap movies are there that were made of Stephen King books. [SPEAKER_09]: So many more like pets have a tear and yeah, yeah, I mean, there's things, but I mean, those films I'm not surprised at the running man didn't do that well.
[SPEAKER_02]: The box office is weekend because I haven't even seen it yet Yeah, I'm just we were talking to the news on tap BDD that got upset by the the newest in the now you see me series of movies Yeah, and you know whatever it's [SPEAKER_07]: I'm actually looking forward to seeing both of those, but I haven't, I have a theory as to why it didn't hit its mark. [SPEAKER_07]: Why?
[SPEAKER_07]: I think there's a trend over all that fewer and fewer people are going to the movies because there is such an abundance of online streaming options, it's like true and so I'm coming from a place where my sons and I used to go to the movies.
[SPEAKER_07]: Every single week, it didn't matter if there was a blockbuster coming out or if it was like a movie nobody was going to see If you were going to see it in January February the off-blockbuster months We were in there every single week and then COVID happened Right COVID made me pull all the way back and I was like, wait, wait, wait, we don't want to [SPEAKER_07]: We don't want to die to see this movie. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, that's exactly understandable.
[SPEAKER_07]: So that kind of carried on because I was like, I was looking at the dollars and cents and I was like, you know, I am still going to have my butt in the seats for the Captain America movies and the Spider-Man movies. [SPEAKER_07]: Right. [SPEAKER_07]: Maybe not for the run of the mill kind of movies. [SPEAKER_02]: So a lot of people have done that, too. [SPEAKER_02]: And that's, [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, last movie I saw that I wasn't going to a screening for was Superman.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's a last one the last one I saw and I was out of town so I just drove myself over saw the movie mask up the whole time and then came home and but before that the last film that I saw to theater was licorice pizza but that was a screening and because we were invited and again we had to be tested for covid. [SPEAKER_02]: That was, yeah, that was quite a ways back, yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: We had to be tested. [SPEAKER_02]: People just, people just don't, I think you're right, BDD.
[SPEAKER_02]: People don't go to the movies as often as they did. [SPEAKER_02]: And when they do, they expect to be a decent experience. [SPEAKER_07]: and like avatar. [SPEAKER_07]: I'm definitely want to. [SPEAKER_02]: But they also, they're also expecting now that the seats to be comfortable, they're expecting the food to be a better quality. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh honey, I've gone to theaters that have, they bring you a meal and you can drink alcohol. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, look, I love that.
[SPEAKER_09]: Those are fun. [SPEAKER_09]: Excessive, but fun. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: But that's, that's the key, too, for a lot of folks. [SPEAKER_02]: Especially because the economy is not necessarily that great. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Donald. [SPEAKER_02]: Um, people are like, you know, they they want it to be a special occasion. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: I am still smuggling our snacks. [SPEAKER_07]: Uh, into the. [SPEAKER_02]: At a man. [SPEAKER_02]: Time on tradition.
[SPEAKER_02]: As far back as I can remember being a kid that people did. [SPEAKER_02]: So. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, my mom used to steal toilet paper out of the bathrooms when she was. [SPEAKER_02]: No way. [SPEAKER_02]: Wow. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, they didn't have money. [SPEAKER_02]: No, that's right. [SPEAKER_02]: I remember that. [SPEAKER_02]: No, that money got it. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't do that. [SPEAKER_02]: I do tend to. [SPEAKER_02]: I like if I'm going to go.
[SPEAKER_02]: I like to get the Buttered Popcorn. [SPEAKER_02]: That's pretty good. [SPEAKER_02]: My wife likes to get the peanut of my limbs, you know, but it's I'm a red vine girl. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, oh, see some. [SPEAKER_02]: West Coast, baby, not to his west coast. [SPEAKER_02]: everybody's got their thing and we ain't going to harsh you ain't got to yuck your y'all.
[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, we got BDD here who is an enjoyably dancing to the music with Jody because you know, every time the music comes on, these two cut a rug. [SPEAKER_02]: We are very good. [SPEAKER_02]: You guys are hanging out with us on a Monday night. [SPEAKER_02]: Here's, you go freshen your drink up. [SPEAKER_02]: If you want some red vines or twizzlers, I think I'm judging on that one. [SPEAKER_02]: Get whatever you want to get.
[SPEAKER_02]: come on back because we got at least a couple more segments here with Brooklyn Dad Defiance and he's got a gift from Maga. [SPEAKER_02]: We're going to ask him, come on, come up Monday night here at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_02]: Come on back hang on. [SPEAKER_04]: We'll be right back after we pay some bills at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_02]: Monday nights, here at the politics bar, and you guys know what that means, Monday nights with Bajib!
[SPEAKER_02]: He and Joni are trying to throw me off, but trust me, I'm a trained radio professional, I don't get thrown off that, okay, that actually might throw me off a little bit there. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you guys. [SPEAKER_02]: First of all, whatever you happen to be, remember, you could always listen live, and listen to the podcast, too. [SPEAKER_02]: So that way, you know, if you can miss anything, just roll it back on the podcast.
[SPEAKER_02]: You can do that on your favorite podcast player, or at the politics bar, dot count. [SPEAKER_02]: So you're weak has been, I hope, pretty good. [SPEAKER_02]: I know you put out a piece, was it last Wednesday on your sub-stack to find dispatches? [SPEAKER_02]: It was kind of, I don't know if magma might consider it a gift. [SPEAKER_02]: But I consider it a gift to Maga because, you know, when you ever have, you ever go to do something. [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you're getting on camera.
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you're, you know, going to talk to, you know, your girlfriend before she was wife and you got something in your teeth. [SPEAKER_02]: That's the thing in your teeth. [SPEAKER_02]: You look like an idiot. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: And your good friends will tell you, for example, when you're in denial, man, they didn't like me. [SPEAKER_02]: You'd be like, no, no, no, you have this one up, you have this one up.
[SPEAKER_02]: They will tell you when you screw it up, which is kind of what you did with modern. [SPEAKER_02]: You pretty much said to Maga, look, young that this is... [SPEAKER_09]: It's on them.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, so I'm so glad you use that then analogy because I used that with my boys my three my three sons as they were growing up and I and that was to tell them like, look, the fact that I'm criticizing you the fact that I'm telling you what you're doing wrong is because I care. [SPEAKER_07]: If I didn't care, I would just let you go out and be the fool that you're gonna be. [SPEAKER_07]: But I don't want you to be a fool.
[SPEAKER_07]: You're carrying my name, damn it. [SPEAKER_07]: That too. [SPEAKER_07]: But with Magga, my feeling is this. [SPEAKER_07]: Like, you know, I joused with them daily all day long on Twitter, I kid you not. [SPEAKER_07]: And it's often not pretty. [SPEAKER_07]: But at some point, it's gotta stop [SPEAKER_07]: constant, you know, going at it with each other. [SPEAKER_07]: It's not leading anywhere. [SPEAKER_07]: And really, it is exactly what the billionaires is.
[SPEAKER_07]: The millionaires and the billionaires. [SPEAKER_09]: Thank you, Bernie. [SPEAKER_07]: That's what they want. [SPEAKER_07]: They want us fighting each other. [SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, yeah, the piece by the way, we have it linked in the guest section of the news on tap. [SPEAKER_02]: It says, you were lied to. [SPEAKER_02]: What happens when the illusion finally cracks?
[SPEAKER_09]: And you just, you go down the whole list of things to try out the war's, the corruption and the war is especially I literally had a friend that I had known for over 40 years voting for Donald because he was going to be the peace president for real serious for real. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, he dropped me on Facebook because of that. [SPEAKER_09]: I'm like, dude, you're as delusional and you guys know I'm not and I'm like, boom.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then he dropped all like it's all like it's you know if he was still connected to you I just be like Argentina. [SPEAKER_02]: Hello. [SPEAKER_09]: Hello. [SPEAKER_02]: Or Venezuela. [SPEAKER_02]: Venezuela. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: Venezuela. [SPEAKER_02]: Pardon me. [SPEAKER_02]: Not Argentina. [SPEAKER_02]: So Venezuela. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, there's green one. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: There's the Ukraine. [SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
[SPEAKER_09]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_02]: All of that. [SPEAKER_02]: He says that he fixed. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_09]: Didn't he fix nine ten eleven billion? [SPEAKER_02]: 11 billion. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, that is the actual number that he did only because the 11 billion doesn't it's not a real number. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_09]: No, but you're right, Majid. [SPEAKER_09]: I mean with whatever. [SPEAKER_09]: These people are delusional.
[SPEAKER_02]: Many of them are, I mean, there are people we know and their people were going to find a sitting around our tables here coming up here in the next couple of weeks. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_09]: Thanksgiving. [SPEAKER_09]: Hi. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: My overall point is this. [SPEAKER_07]: Like I'm not, I'm not expecting to be holding hands and singing kumbaya with them anytime soon. [SPEAKER_07]: I don't expect them to love me or don't even like me.
[SPEAKER_07]: But, you know, at least I'm leaving the door open and saying, you know what? [SPEAKER_07]: I'm going to take it for, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you weren't voting for. [SPEAKER_07]: food lines. [SPEAKER_07]: You were in voting for your snap benefits being cut. [SPEAKER_07]: You were voting for your your baker and your landscaper to be tossed into a van, you know, sight unseen, because of his nationality, you know?
[SPEAKER_07]: uh... and because i i honestly i have to believe that because otherwise the alternative is that i'm assuming that the people that are living to the left and to the right of me are scumbags yeah and i monster right who can who can live in a society you know surrounded by monsters you know right and and i think i don't think they are [SPEAKER_09]: I'm going to go with Stephen Miller. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, God, he's a monster.
[SPEAKER_09]: What's the other guy who's now, he's 37 years old and he looks like he's 75? [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, Paul T. Yes, Paul T. The housing guy. [SPEAKER_09]: He's the guy who's 37. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_09]: That's the day. [SPEAKER_02]: He looks older than you, definitely. [SPEAKER_09]: What is I put them? [SPEAKER_02]: Well, hey, makes you, evil? [SPEAKER_09]: I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_09]: Evil makes you aged. [SPEAKER_09]: I guess, I guess.
[SPEAKER_09]: Okay, I'm gonna, yeah, I think so. [SPEAKER_02]: It is interesting though that some of the same things can be applied to some of these magas as to some of the folks who we've been mad about in our own party. [SPEAKER_02]: There are still some people who are talking about the Democratic cave. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't necessarily disagree that House Republicans were never going to agree to a an easy extension of the ACA subsidies. [SPEAKER_02]: That's never going to happen.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: But there's a difference between what they should have, and I think I said this last week, Philip Bump, who's now over it MS now, MSNBC, whatever. [SPEAKER_02]: Um, [SPEAKER_02]: He said last week, he said that what Democrats should have done, Senate Democrats should have done was walk it down slowly. [SPEAKER_02]: And other Democrats, like Sheldon White House, who said he knew a couple of days before, what do you mean, walk it down slowly?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, say to people, say, look, we know that we are not, we've been pressing on this for almost 40 days. [SPEAKER_02]: And we know that it is unlikely for us to get 100% of what we want. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, manage expectations. [SPEAKER_02]: There you go. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, they didn't. [SPEAKER_02]: Gene Chuheen didn't manage expectations. [SPEAKER_02]: She came out and said, look, my name is Karen.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I want to talk to the manager because I cannot wait for her. [SPEAKER_09]: Thanksgiving with her daughter. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's going to be a whole lot of fun. [SPEAKER_02]: Her and Stephanie Sheen, her daughter, because Stephanie Sheen is running for Congress, and that's right. [SPEAKER_02]: And that'd be interesting as well. [SPEAKER_02]: I want to go to there. [SPEAKER_09]: Just keep saying the same thing. [SPEAKER_09]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_09]: Thank you very much.
[SPEAKER_02]: But look, it is, I'm not forgiving or forgetting what some of those Democrats did. [SPEAKER_02]: I do think it is a sign that Chuck Schumer should enjoy his leadership of Senate Democrats now because when the next vote comes up, it should be somebody who actually knows what they're doing. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm thinking club at Char White House, there's a few of, I could deal with Sheldon. [SPEAKER_02]: I could deal with Sheldon with that. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know who would want it.
[SPEAKER_09]: But yeah, it's a crappy job. [SPEAKER_09]: I almost said the S word. [SPEAKER_09]: It's a crappy job. [SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it is. [SPEAKER_02]: Both both with and without the S word. [SPEAKER_07]: It's the fact the fact remains Chuck Schumer is a dinosaur. [SPEAKER_07]: He's a foxhole. [SPEAKER_07]: He is not to me. [SPEAKER_02]: Like he's not necessarily about age. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean Bernie Sanders could do the job too if Sanders wanted to.
[SPEAKER_02]: That he doesn't want to do that. [SPEAKER_02]: The problem is the fact that Schumer, for example, Schumer. [SPEAKER_02]: It's now there's another story that just came out here over the weekend [SPEAKER_02]: the whole time that this group that that ended up shooting everybody else in the foot, he knew their plans and he let them do it instead of managing expectations. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, but see, I don't mean his age. [SPEAKER_07]: I mean in terms of, I agree.
[SPEAKER_07]: He was great when he was coming up. [SPEAKER_07]: You know, like when he was coming up, the Congress was still normal, relatively normal and they could still get things done. [SPEAKER_07]: You know, he was from a completely different era. [SPEAKER_07]: And he is not built. [SPEAKER_07]: for the machinations that are going on right now. [SPEAKER_07]: You need somebody with a different mindset. [SPEAKER_07]: He's still like, for lack of a better word, I'm going to say naive.
[SPEAKER_07]: Let's roll it naive. [SPEAKER_07]: That's how he's been leading from outside. [SPEAKER_08]: It's old school, like Bob Dole, kind of old school. [SPEAKER_08]: It's that kind of old school politicians. [SPEAKER_02]: Doesn't mean they can't get things done occasionally. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, obviously the whole shutdown in part was something that he dealt with and ended up. [SPEAKER_02]: He did do well up until. [SPEAKER_02]: the end. [SPEAKER_02]: But the ending is pretty important.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: And the fact that the fact that this fight is still going on, look, Republicans have not had a legitimate plan to change out, exchange the current healthcare system we have or augment that healthcare system to make it work better. [SPEAKER_02]: They haven't [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, definitely in the last 15. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Do they have that in her one? [SPEAKER_02]: And that's... [SPEAKER_02]: It's Clinton. [SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
[SPEAKER_02]: And we all know this. [SPEAKER_02]: So that's helpful to some degree. [SPEAKER_02]: At the same time, when you're fighting for the system you have, even if you don't like this system you have. [SPEAKER_02]: And there are a lot of people who think that the ACA system is... Yeah, I know, Joey. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't, I don't necessarily either.
[SPEAKER_02]: The fact of the matter is it's what we got and it's yeah better than it was before right it used to work really crappy with the enhanced ACA subsidies it works somewhat okay This system that was before the ACA was real crap. [SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm. [UNKNOWN]: Yeah [SPEAKER_02]: And Republicans, there's a piece we have. [SPEAKER_02]: It is in the news on tap today. [SPEAKER_02]: And you guys should check this one out.
[SPEAKER_02]: Because it's not the arguments that we need to be ramping up as we talk around the holiday table and that we need to remind folks about. [SPEAKER_02]: Congressional Republicans are among the other things they're going to try to do in December when they hold those votes on the ACA expanded subsidies. [SPEAKER_02]: They're looking to put sticks in the wheels of the system. [SPEAKER_02]: Of course. [SPEAKER_02]: And it could really blow up the state exchanges.
[SPEAKER_02]: And this is maybe one of those people who you've already bought your plan, your family's plan for the next year. [SPEAKER_02]: And they make these changes, and it could screw that up, and you would have to go back to the drawing board in January. [SPEAKER_02]: Or back to the drawing board in the week between Christmas and New Year's. [SPEAKER_02]: That'd be fun. [SPEAKER_02]: Spend your Christmas to New Year's holiday period driving yourself insane with them.
[SPEAKER_02]: Completely crappy insurance. [SPEAKER_02]: That sounds fun. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: Well, they've been trying to undo. [SPEAKER_07]: the ACA for years now and they haven't been able to. [SPEAKER_07]: So they've decided that the next best thing is to starve it, is to make it not work, not function properly. [SPEAKER_07]: And that is what that is in fact what they're doing now.
[SPEAKER_07]: Meanwhile, Trump is dangling some stupid idea like, I'm going to give everybody $2,000 and then you can use that to buy your own plan. [SPEAKER_07]: Like, dude, [SPEAKER_07]: Have you guys ever seen a rest of development? [SPEAKER_07]: Yes, there's no call the rest of the development. [SPEAKER_07]: They're making a scene where Lucille Bluth asks her son. [SPEAKER_07]: She says, [SPEAKER_07]: It's a banana, Michael, what could it cost?
[SPEAKER_07]: $10, you know, it's a show how out of a touch she is. [SPEAKER_07]: And Donald Trump, frankly, probably has not had to ever buy his own. [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, God knows. [SPEAKER_07]: No, no. [SPEAKER_07]: No, health insurance, that's all. [SPEAKER_07]: And so now he's proposing things that are completely worthless to the average person, let's not even, we're not even talking about the whole notion [SPEAKER_07]: pre-existent conditions. [SPEAKER_07]: Thank you folks.
[SPEAKER_07]: We have pre-existent conditions. [SPEAKER_07]: We need to be screwed up in me. [SPEAKER_02]: Under Trump's plan. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_06]: What is happening on the insurance? [SPEAKER_02]: A lot of insurance companies used to see being a woman as a pre-existent. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it is. [SPEAKER_02]: That's 51% of our country anyway. [SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, that's.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, yeah, no, I'm I'm with both the honest that it look Trump doesn't he has but what I have juggling before referred to as the milk bottle problem. [SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't know where the milk to him. [SPEAKER_02]: We can say where would you, you know, where's the milk come from? [SPEAKER_02]: He goes corner store. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because to him, that's where the milk comes from.
[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't have a goddamn clue about cows or any of the stuff that goes between where the milk actually comes from his table. [SPEAKER_02]: The him, the mouth comes from the store. [SPEAKER_02]: That's where the milk comes from because he's completely disconnected. [SPEAKER_02]: So I like I get that. [SPEAKER_07]: I'm not under any illusions. [SPEAKER_07]: I know that the ACA isn't perfect. [SPEAKER_07]: You know, she could, could we be saving more money and getting more benefits?
[SPEAKER_07]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_07]: Better results, yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: But, [SPEAKER_07]: If you don't have a replacement for it, don't jettison it. [SPEAKER_07]: That's right. [SPEAKER_07]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_07]: I used to tell my son. [SPEAKER_02]: You can't replace nothing. [SPEAKER_02]: That's something with nothing. [SPEAKER_02]: And that's nothing from nothing. [SPEAKER_02]: Please, nothing. [SPEAKER_02]: You got to have something to be.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you want to be with me, even this happens, this discussion around a holiday table and reminding people of this. [SPEAKER_02]: And then pressing your members of Congress, even if they're Republicans, say, [SPEAKER_02]: call them email them mail them if you see them around your town at the holidays here and say if you ain't got something to replace this I want the ACA subsidies extended yeah we love you too [SPEAKER_02]: Look, so we won't be able to get a little bit more.
[SPEAKER_02]: There is a little bit more news on tab. [SPEAKER_02]: We got Brooklyn Dad to find here on a Monday night, hanging out with Jody and me. [SPEAKER_02]: And you, of course, thank you very much. [SPEAKER_02]: We're coming to the bar and hanging out with us. [SPEAKER_02]: Every night you do, we are extremely grateful to have you hanging out here. [SPEAKER_02]: So look, the fresh new drink up, come on back. [SPEAKER_02]: One more round with BDD, you, me and Jody here.
[SPEAKER_02]: At the point of this bar, hang on. [SPEAKER_02]: We'll be right back after we pay some bills at the politics bar. [SPEAKER_02]: very fun. [SPEAKER_02]: Joey Hamilton, you're also stuck with me, Sean Smith Pierce. [SPEAKER_02]: But that's okay. [SPEAKER_02]: We appreciate you anyway. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you by the way, everybody hanging out with us, getting out to us on all of the socials and everybody who subscribe to the podcast, however you choose to do so.
[SPEAKER_02]: And of course, thank you for all of you listening on the live radio waves as well. [SPEAKER_02]: All right, BDD, you, me and [SPEAKER_02]: Carol is on it's, and of course, Mindy is on it, who is here. [SPEAKER_02]: Both of whom have been at the bar. [SPEAKER_02]: There are a lot of good people who have been at the bar. [SPEAKER_09]: Martin Chin, Mary Bass, who also danced to Lonnie's music. [SPEAKER_07]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_07]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_07]: By the way, my dance just now was a swim and then a backstroke is what I mean. [SPEAKER_09]: I know I saw that. [SPEAKER_07]: It was like a whole backstroke. [SPEAKER_02]: You weren't, you weren't trying to ride the broomstick waves. [SPEAKER_02]: I saw some ridiculous TikTok. [SPEAKER_02]: Somebody sent me a thing and said, look, there's this thing from wicked and they're doing it. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, okay, I don't know. [SPEAKER_07]: I haven't seen that yet.
[SPEAKER_02]: I can't wait to see it in a wicked one. [SPEAKER_02]: And then the new one is that is out. [SPEAKER_02]: I believe [SPEAKER_02]: But there's a story in the news on tap about that guy who basically grabbed Ariana Grande He got nine days in prison in Singapore only he grabbed him. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, yeah, yeah, it's Cynthia real was like she was like she stopped him [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, you can tell those two like had developed a very a fond relationship. [SPEAKER_02]: They do.
[SPEAKER_07]: They love each other very much. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, yeah, that comes across. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's very cool. [SPEAKER_02]: So that's, but yeah, you can read about that story. [SPEAKER_02]: For those of you who have been paying attention to the NWSL finals will be next weekend. [SPEAKER_02]: The Washington spirit out here in the DC area of bar thanking very much. [SPEAKER_02]: Number two seed is going [SPEAKER_02]: Gotham F.C.
[SPEAKER_02]: who stunned the Orlando Pride this weekend so it's like not to hell so that'll be um it'll be interesting but I'm pretty sure this Brit will win and uh just say you know it's nice to have a good it's good when you have a good team Jody knows this feeling as well you know I'm sorry you know for for those of you who are in New York City uh you haven't had a whole lot of winning teams I'm all about my nicks and I will hear nothing else
[SPEAKER_07]: No, no other sport exists for me, right? [SPEAKER_02]: Just saying, I'm just giving you a little sympathy there, you know. [SPEAKER_09]: Sorry New York. [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry New York. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, not everybody can be LA or DC here. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, the Raskanches College volleyball. [SPEAKER_07]: Really turned into a powerhouse in over the years. [SPEAKER_07]: Just like. [SPEAKER_07]: Well, this is your time.
[SPEAKER_02]: It helps when you got Otani just saying, you know, there are some good things that come from overseas. [SPEAKER_02]: But we didn't win. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, there's that too. [SPEAKER_09]: We did lose. [SPEAKER_02]: What? [SPEAKER_09]: To Toronto. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, no, no, no, the Dodgers won. [SPEAKER_02]: Dodgers won the one series. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, yeah, we did. [SPEAKER_09]: Didn't we? [SPEAKER_09]: Okay. [SPEAKER_09]: I don't remember. [SPEAKER_09]: I forgot.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no, you wanted to see. [SPEAKER_02]: This is this out tired, Jodie. [SPEAKER_02]: Jodie working really hard. [SPEAKER_02]: That's why I'm saying, you know, go, you know, subscribe to the podcast, center six box below. [SPEAKER_02]: There are good things to come from overseas. [SPEAKER_02]: And we've seen some of the trade stuff really kind of blow up.
[SPEAKER_02]: Trump is doing the whole thing with, take an off certain tariffs because he's trying to make the basically Thanksgiving meal look good, which, [SPEAKER_02]: I'm just like, dude, that's, that's not going to fix all the rest of the stuff. [SPEAKER_07]: And as far as we're going to need to see him admit publicly admit that his tariffs on the food were a mistake. [SPEAKER_07]: You know, just like take them off and like, you know, and act like, you know, no connection.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: No, admit that crap. [SPEAKER_09]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_09]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, he's not going to do that. [SPEAKER_02]: But that would that would be like that would be like admitting that women are better that women are better than men at a lot of things like you know that team oh, yeah See that's that's where you knew where my mind was going on that show [SPEAKER_02]: Over a weekend here, I believe it was, maybe it was Friday.
[SPEAKER_02]: Michelle Obama was at the last time on whether a woman can get elected president. [SPEAKER_02]: And, well, here. [SPEAKER_02]: I want a little place for the DVR because y'all should hear this. [SPEAKER_00]: Saw in this past election, sadly, [SPEAKER_00]: We ain't ready. [SPEAKER_00]: That's why I'm like, don't even look at me about running because you all are lying. [SPEAKER_00]: You're not ready for a woman. [SPEAKER_00]: You are not. [SPEAKER_00]: So don't waste my time.
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we got a lot of growing up to do. [SPEAKER_00]: And they're still, I'm sadly, a lot of men who do not feel like they can be led by a woman and we saw it. [SPEAKER_09]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_09]: What was the question? [SPEAKER_09]: Yes. [SPEAKER_09]: What was the question? [SPEAKER_09]: I love her so much. [SPEAKER_02]: She's fantastic. [SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, look. [SPEAKER_02]: You're there.
[SPEAKER_02]: There are a lot of Americans who are not ready for it, even though women aren't ready for it. [SPEAKER_09]: That blows my mind. [SPEAKER_02]: Me too. [SPEAKER_02]: Are not ready for women too late? [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_09]: Did we all have women teachers as children? [SPEAKER_09]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: Those of you who went to, uh, you know, Sunday school or Saturday school, whatever your religious friend was with your parents. [SPEAKER_02]: Public school.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: A lot of them teachers, most of them, for ladies, exactly. [SPEAKER_07]: I'll tell you what the problem is. [SPEAKER_07]: It's, it's the, it's the whole protection thing. [SPEAKER_07]: Protection it. [SPEAKER_07]: What? [SPEAKER_07]: So the person who is running against the woman has to make it seem like there's some kind of caveman DNA that activates.
[SPEAKER_07]: And if the person [SPEAKER_07]: who you're considering isn't like strong and macho and terrifying enough. [SPEAKER_07]: Then you doubt their ability to protect you. [SPEAKER_07]: Like for instance, let's go back to what was that guy in the tank with the helmet? [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, do caucus? [SPEAKER_09]: Do caucus. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, Mike. [SPEAKER_07]: Do caucus. [SPEAKER_09]: That's it. [SPEAKER_05]: Five foot four. [SPEAKER_05]: vote for Bush. [SPEAKER_05]: He's taller.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Here's my thing on some of this though. [SPEAKER_02]: Um, when y'all were kids, who were you more afraid of whipping your ass? [SPEAKER_02]: Mom or dad? [SPEAKER_02]: Mom. [SPEAKER_02]: For me, it was mom. [SPEAKER_02]: You be to eat?
[SPEAKER_07]: my dad beat me one time and it was with his hand right like so my mom delivered some serious work in trouble my my dad was the one who I was afraid of because that thing terrified me I've been beaten by my mom so many times I wasn't afraid of that because that was a thing that like I was very accustomed to but my dad hit me three times [SPEAKER_07]: You're like, never was terrifying for me. [SPEAKER_07]: That was terrifying.
[SPEAKER_02]: But on a regular, a lot of people for the most part, it seems like that this is anecdotal. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't have any data for this is anecdotal, but it seems I'm most of the folks I know are more scared of their moms, especially if your mom is a black woman. [SPEAKER_02]: You're like, oh, yeah, you want to go ass? [SPEAKER_02]: See, now he's like, oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, so we all know that women can be strong.
[SPEAKER_02]: Why could we afraid of them when we do something stupid? [SPEAKER_02]: So the idea that women can't be strong, the idea that women can't lead, they lead all of these damn classrooms all over the place, so you know they lead.
[SPEAKER_07]: you know to me so the thing is the the Republicans they create an environment of fear right there are threats from abroad and who do you want answering the phone at three o'clock in the morning do you want Hillary do you want cackling come on Harris or do you want strong and steady dot-al-trumped [SPEAKER_05]: Donald Trump, I would take it as I would trade off. [SPEAKER_02]: I would take Kamla and Hillary any day. [SPEAKER_02]: Any day, every week.
[SPEAKER_02]: You would you'd be both. [SPEAKER_02]: I think I think the elections in Virginia and in New Jersey. [SPEAKER_02]: Definitely did a lot of damage to that Republican idea. [SPEAKER_02]: that women can't be elected to hell. [SPEAKER_02]: We got our lieutenant governor here in Virginia is the first Muslim statewide female elected to any office. [SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, great, she's great. [SPEAKER_02]: She'll be fine. [SPEAKER_02]: She'll be fine. [SPEAKER_02]: She'll be fine.
[SPEAKER_02]: She'll be fine. [SPEAKER_02]: She'll be fine. [SPEAKER_02]: Yep. [SPEAKER_02]: And then you know, but I'm sitting there going the idea that women can't lead. [SPEAKER_02]: Jody and I were talking about this when we were opening up the bar today. [SPEAKER_02]: And I give Carol a ton of credit for a lot of good things. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yes, she's funny. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm hot. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_09]: OK. [SPEAKER_09]: It's great.
[SPEAKER_09]: Just double checking. [SPEAKER_09]: Did that. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, that exact Carol. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, that's true. [SPEAKER_09]: Just double checking. [SPEAKER_02]: That Carol. [SPEAKER_02]: But one of them is the fact that never once did I think, I mean, yes, there's the old trope of, you know, well, women can't be funny, which I'm always like, have you met Carol Burnett? [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my gosh. [SPEAKER_02]: That's literally a ball. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, right.
[SPEAKER_02]: But to me. [SPEAKER_02]: May West. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: But the idea for me was always, anybody who says women can't, I'm like, are you kidding me? [SPEAKER_02]: I know a whole bunch. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean. [SPEAKER_02]: So I voted for both of the ladies me to and I would I would vote for them again. [SPEAKER_02]: I held I'd vote for them if they ran together. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you know, that the oh my god, what's that be amazing.
[SPEAKER_07]: Before I supported. [SPEAKER_07]: President Obama. [SPEAKER_07]: I was in the Hillary Clinton. [SPEAKER_05]: Me too. [SPEAKER_07]: Because because growing up like they were like that was like a fantasy like you thought one day you were going to see, you know, a unicorn, you know, and also a black president, you know, black man. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure that was one of those things where you're like, you're like, look there. [SPEAKER_02]: A lot of jobs I could do president is not one.
[SPEAKER_07]: I had spent most of my life, you know, not voting for, like, because I didn't have a choice of a black guy to vote for, you know, I remember voting for David Dinkings or Mayor, but, you know, I honestly didn't think that a guy named Barack Hussein, oh, [SPEAKER_07]: Obama.
[SPEAKER_07]: I thought the who's saying was more damning that either than his skin color, but once he was in there, I supported him, but America really, like, just kicked me in the groin when they, uh, they voted against Hillary in 2016. [SPEAKER_07]: And then against, uh, Kamala Harris in 2024. [SPEAKER_07]: That one hurt even worse. [SPEAKER_09]: I have said for years, like when I was a kid, [SPEAKER_09]: There will be a black man president before a woman. [SPEAKER_02]: Jody is right.
[SPEAKER_09]: I always said that since I was like 17 years old, there will be a black man president before a woman. [SPEAKER_02]: Ever. [SPEAKER_02]: It just drives me nuts. [SPEAKER_09]: And I loved him and I voted for her in the primary and then I voted for him in the general. [SPEAKER_02]: For the record, I voted for him in the primary. [SPEAKER_09]: I voted for her in the primary and him in the general. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, he was he was he's great in hell. [SPEAKER_09]: He is amazing.
[SPEAKER_09]: Are you kidding me? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, work for him work for him in Joe back in the day And I was fun. [SPEAKER_02]: That's fun. [SPEAKER_09]: I got to meet him once. [SPEAKER_02]: I think Michelle Obama is right. [SPEAKER_09]: She's right. [SPEAKER_02]: We're not ready There's not enough of Americans who are ready. [SPEAKER_02]: No No, but how long what do you guys think how long will be dead? [SPEAKER_02]: We'll be dead.
[SPEAKER_09]: We'll be dead [SPEAKER_02]: sooner no i think sooner than you think i hope so i hope you're right when you've got when you got women in i mean remember while i'm in the dc corner of the bar i am still in the virginia side and virginia not exactly the the most progressive place not in the history of four hundred year history of this kind of wealth not exactly the most progressive place and yet
[SPEAKER_02]: Now we're gonna have a female governor, a female lieutenant governor, and a black man as our attorney general, and I'm glad because I voted for all three of them. [SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, I'm like, times have changed up your right. [SPEAKER_09]: Thomas Jefferson is happy with all of this. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, so, I mean, you know, he's a Virginia guy. [SPEAKER_09]: Well, and he likes an athlete. [SPEAKER_02]: for those of you who know Hamilton.
[SPEAKER_02]: B&D, we got a little bit more when I hang out with you. [SPEAKER_02]: Can we take you to after hours? [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, yeah, haha. [SPEAKER_02]: We will do after hours, which you can check out at thepoliticsbar.com. [SPEAKER_02]: For those of you who are heading out the door on our live radio affiliates, don't worry about it. [SPEAKER_02]: We'll see you here tomorrow night tomorrow night.
[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, we have Richard Chu, who normally, who are mornings on WCPT, but he will be here tomorrow night. [SPEAKER_09]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: So he'll have to get an app in, I'm sure, but look. [SPEAKER_02]: We have some other great guests coming up this week. [SPEAKER_02]: Best thing you can do and get yourselves some sleep so that you're arrested up and you can celebrate with us tomorrow night. [SPEAKER_02]: And hang out here at the politics class. [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks.
