Welcome back to another episode of the Potty Report . So I've said many times on here that I treat the new school year like a brand new year , and one thing that I have decided that I will no longer say , because it has not been serving me very well , is I'm bad at email .
I've been saying it for a really long time and it's kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy , so I'm like no , I'm not going to say that anymore . How about I get good at email ? I am the best at email and I'm incredible at email . Why don't I do that ?
Instead , it feels a lot better to say that than to feel the shame and discomfort of like , oh , I'm just really bad at email .
So I have taken this like back to school reorganize the house , reorganize the office , like do all the things you know , spring cleaning , to get very organized in my digital life as well , and what that looks like is I've reorganized my Asana . I've looked at ways that I can simplify my Google Drive .
I have a Google Doc system that works so much better than it did previously . And email is . It's so funny . I stumbled upon this YouTube video . That was gold . It was pure magic , and I am . It's one of those . It's one of those . It's like why didn't I know this ? Why is this something like ? Why was this not taught in school ?
And we actually have this conversation the other day , because my oldest son is a freshman in high school right now and we're trying to teach him , you know , time management stuff and like how to keep up with your digital life in this like new age of you know they don't send papers home with school anymore .
You know they don't send you like , oh , this is what you're supposed to be doing .
Of course , I'll get like a school syllabus or maybe like one or two things , but I wanted to teach him you know just different things that he'll need life skills to take with him to college and then on to his career eventually , and honestly , it's the stuff that my husband are like . No one , no one ever taught us any of these things , and why not ?
So I have these skills , I have these tools . I'm going to help him out . But in this I really feel so much more like I have a big grasp on everything now and I don't feel as chaotic and overwhelmed . So if you haven't taken a chance to take a pause , look at all your systems , you know . Is your sauna cleaned up ?
Do you have a project management system ? Maybe that's the thing is , if you have not adopted something like Monday , or a sauna , or Trello or something I know people use notion to like , there's a lot of click up . I mean I could just keep going , all the different ones that you could try . Asana is the one that I've been using , I think since 2020 , 2019, .
I've been using it for a while now . I love it so much and I use the free version for years , for years and years . I actually just upgraded to the paid version .
I've been an Asana ambassador for a while and that allows me to get all the paid features anyway , but it's like kind of restricted , like I can only access certain things at certain times and I can be . I was like no , what am I doing ? Let me just buy the full version and get this over with , because I love this app so much .
So , in doing all that , I've reorganized and restructured and the time management is everything .
And , speaking of time management , I have a fun affiliate partnership that I'm doing next month that , if time management , project management , is something that you want to work on , I want to hear from you like , reach out to me , send me a DM and say , like Crystal , I need time management help , I need project management help because I this is fun , I've never
promoted this before , I've never even talked about this before and I'm really excited about it . So let me know if that's something that you want to know more about . But that's all I have for you today . So , like I said , take a pause , go reorganize your stuff and it will make you feel so much better .
But , as always , remember , keep it fresh , keep it fun and just keep going .
