have enough people to suit up to have a full roster. Okay, let's go ahead and make sure we put this straight on out there. They play Thursday night. Oh yeah, the NFL is gonna get that money. assistant dB coaches or something. They about they are throwing, They are throwing a team out there, they are playing. I got I'll be tackling with somebody will run the ball, run the ball to calm down. So, yes, the Cowboys are gonna be minus the head coach and a couple of assistants. But I've also said this, I mean we've seen right here because the show is right here in the Star. You've gone by and you've seen, you know, Tom Land back in the day. It kind of got

by with six assistants. You know, you can you can coach with a couple of guys. And most of all, and as former players speak to this, how much do you need your head coach on game day? Answer that man? You know, defensive side of the ball. You know, j G. He was more as we know, he was more offensive guy. He was an offensive coordinator for all those years. You know, he spends a lot of time in the quarterback room. He I'll say, in my seven years here, he rarely

came to the defensive side of the ball. As far as practice and far as meetings and as things go and as the game progresses, as as things are going on in the game, good or bad, you rarely saw j G. I mean, like he came over to congratulate you off of a great player or something like that, but he wasn't in there. You know, all we need to adjust this, We need to do that. You know, they're running the ball this way, We need to stack the That was more Rob Marnelly, Rob Ryan's job, those sorts.

So to me, I rarely seen our head coach, And you know, I don't think you need him that much. Maybe to do a little pre game maybe to get you know, the troops ready and everything like that, make major decisions as far as that's concerned. But defensively, we rarely saw the head I'm gonna tell you straight up like this, it's we are lucky to have our coaching staff set up the way that we have it, where we have Dan Quinn is the defensive guy, the defensive

players know that this is a defensive guy. Kelly Moore is the offensive guy, and then Mike McCarthy, from my eyes, is kind of like an overseer of the offense specifically, like, hey, man, if Kelly might be getting out the line a little bit and not doing some stuff Mike McCarthy wanted to do, then he might whisper in his ear. There are teams to where if you lose the head coach, then you're wondering how the team is going to perform the Los Angeles Rams, right, if mcveay is out, how is the

offense aren't to perform? If Mike Tomlin is out. There are coaches around the league to where you're like, man, the head coaches in Baltimore, you know what I'm saying, We're not really sure. So luckily we do have, you know, our stuff set up a little bit different than them, so I think we'll be okay. And we actually have a former head coach on the coaches stay. You're talking about d q talk about is he the assistant He

is not. No coach does not have any head coach of the experience in the NFL, But Dan Quinn does. Rob Davis is the assistant head coach. Okay, so that's your assistant head coach. He'll be on the sidelines. So McCarthy, by the way, is going to be working all week long be involved virtually at this point in time. It's just just what makes sense to me. You makee Quinn your head coach. We know Wit can run the defense. Yes, we saw that the preseas he could do that. So

Quinn's been there before, knows what the job is. Wit runs defense. You got Kellen Moore running the offense, and you got and you got job Fossil running the defense. I mean, run the special teams and and you you can get this done on so offensively? Is it gonna be all on Kelln? Like? Should we go here on four? For one who like is Kelling the deciding factor as

he is, we should offensively? Great? Great question, And hopefully Mike McCarthy will do you a virtual pressure this week and we can ask the head coach the question, because I want to know who's gonna tell Kellen we got running this ball a little bit more like I want to or if it's up to Kelling, if you know we're gonna be just passing the ball all over the place like it's mad or something, or somebody's gonna be able to check killing anybody, little mantle. The game's not

going away. We need it to go. Let's get back into this run game. The head coach, which is why you need somebody who has the head coach experience. No, no, no, no, the head coach. So if dan Quinn is the head coach, then the head coach, it's the guy, right, So like they killing would have to you know, listen to him because that would be in superior in this in this situation. Yeah, And I look at this is and I know you talk about Q coming down from the booth. But I'm telling you you got a guy who could be up in the booth getting it done.

We can do it. That was kind of one of the things that helped out in the preseason when um, when Dan had the coach, when Dan had the COVID so boom you had, and I believe he can get the job done. And he was in consideration to become the defensive coordinator before. So to me give that got put him there. DQ get down there, help help run things. And this is where said I'm hoping we get to talk to McCarthy this week to okay, how are you going to set this up? Who's gonna make the calls?

Who goes about it? And then hopefully you're assuming along the way because they already know and that the conversations between DQ and Kell and at that that's the way it goes. So they've already all this is what we're

going to do if we have the situation happen. That's in my mind, that's what I'm thinking, that that this this conversation has already been had had It has to have been had already as soon as he got it, Like he's not surprising any of these guys with how with how it'll line up once he comes out and tells us like these these guys have been through this, you assume even going through training camp, hey man, and we have a COVID situation where we're missing the big

guys out of hierarchy. This is this is this is this house's gonna roll and we don't. So you don't have to have any fans or bus any questions about who's gonna be that guy. This is where we're at. Yeah, so I you know, I'm I am going to assume this is what happens. We'll see. So it's just my thought process here. And Terrence still is going to be out. We've been around coaches who bringing their guys in, oh yeah, and then you have to make some serious, serious, serious errors before it's like, hey, we're gonna let this guy go, especially if you're the guy that's ahead of the whole special teams that you hand picked this kicker, which is basically the essence of your teams. You gotta have that kicker, and this is his guy. And we've been on too

much of a roller coaster ride this season. Like I could see if the guy, you know, he was missing just sixty yarders, you know, fifty yarders, but he's missing you know, thirty six yards here, he's missing extra points. How crucial was that your point in the game on Thursday and you kept chasing. They're in like the problem. You just kept chasing. We hit that extra point, it doesn't even go to ot.
