The following. Here's a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club. Cowboys. This is the player's loud broadcasting live from Dallas Cowboys World headquarters at the Star. Now your hosts, Barry Church, Danny mccraig, Heck Ma Harrison and NEWI scrugs Super Bowl recap right here to play it loude let's right. Oh hey, it's heckm Harrison, players loud, he scrub. Hey, what's up? Newe? Yes? Um, what's going on? Man? You know Danny mccraig who picked
Philadelphia to win this? Yes, well twenty four is out. I don't see Danny Barry Church who picked Phildelphia to win the Super Bowl twenty twenty. I know you disappointed. It's going so so Yeah. The players, the Cowboys safeties are are not here. I didn't get a text. I didn't get awarded, did you like? No, it's all good, Okay, it's all good. I expected this. You know I expected this. Um, you know I stood on it all season long, NUIs I stood on it all season long, and first and foremost.
Before we get started, before we get the cooking, let me just say happy birthday the buried Church who's usually sitting right here. My man BC not in the place to be out on the slopes right now, and I'm sure he's listening to the players lounge, So happy birthday to you, brou But back to what I stood on all season, Knui, I basically said that, you know, hey, the Philadelphia wasn't a business. What's what I said, right, But watching that Super Bowl, yes, say it was a
hell of a super Bowl, and I can't front. I can't come in here and just say, look that they didn't bring their a game, because they absolutely did. Offensively. They scored thirty five point us and I don't know in any other universe you win when you score thirty five points, especially when you have the defense that the Philadelphia Eagles have unfortunate leave for them. Dude from Texas Town, the dude on the other side, day, Patrick Mahomes bought his absolute a game. It came in and what a
performance by Patrick Mahomes. Andy Reid Eric bing to me that offensive staff man they were cooking up yesterday, and I was that it came to a point in that game where I was like, man, they are executing at a high level. Especially knowing that they were not able to win the time of possession or any of that. So, um, hold, I'm feeling the ominous, like, hold on, hey, is it my guy? That's my guy, d Mac. What's up baby, big fault? Oh talk to the people, man, they're waiting
on you. We're live right now. Yeah, I'm okay, man. Yeah, And you know what, And I've always told people the day after he definite to play the surviving music out it. Hey, the day after the super Bowl is really tough. It's really tough to rebound from everything that you have to go through. I mean, look, man, I'm sure you ate a bunch of K Show and Nacho's yesterday. No, no, not true. Let let me listen. Let me tell you something. Okay.
I enjoyed the super Bowl, all right, but this morning, this morning, okay, we dropped the dot off in school for the first time. Oh oh, you've been crying that he gonna pull it a hard string so we don't get it at all. No good, you pull it in a hard string right now. It was you know, it was harder than I thought it was gonna be. Yeah. I had to be strong for the wife because she, you know, she was struggling. I mean, man, I let it. I was with mine dropped off. She wanted to go.
She was happy mine too. She mommy by daddy, and I was like, really, yeah she did. But wow, now I'll say this, watch up, We've been more emotional than she has. I'm like my wife seeing me smiling in my inside, I'm like, oh, good, I gotta I gotta go to work today. My son for a month cried when we got to the exit. No, we got to the No. She whined when we got there because she thought it was a doctor's office. And then once she realized it wasn't a doctor's office, she was like, yeah, okay.
By she got her toys and she started playing around and stuff, and then I think we both got that view of like, oh, we gotta leave. Yeah. Here's the difference for you was I had another one at the house, so we wouldn't. We still had we still had somebody that needed us some responsibility. But she just got one like you do. And then listen, I had to take my wife back home. It was so quiet in the house because it's usually the nanny upstairs and then you
know daughters up there. She's like, hey, Mommy hate every time the door opens, and this time it was like just silence, and I was like, shout, I'll leave my wife here because I think it's too quiet. I was like, I guess this is what an empty dusting feels like. And she was like, don't do it, don't say it. I was like, yeah, let me get that. Let me get Then you know that you didn't hit upstairs about yourself.
That was all that, all that being said. Shout out to Jayleen Hursts for having the health of a game last night. And Patrick Mahomes felt about Jaylen Hurts. Yeah, oh yeah, you know I feel about Jamala Hursts. Man, Yeah, I think he did. He did phenomenal. Now he did give he gave away a touchdown, he gave a touchdown. He did do that, and he wasn't shaking. He came right back a man, nothing, nothing is gonna make me stumble on this one. And he he took him down
to feel three rushing touchdowns, one passing touchdown. Yes, he was on his way, on his way to be in the MVP. Yeah he was. Ye. Look, I I remember all the talk at the beginning of the year about all right, Philadelphi has got all these draft picks so they can take their time to find that college quarterback and and basically to replace Jail Hurt. Jalen Hurts has solidified himself and this is gonna be a guy that we see um dueling with Dak Prescott here for for
a long time. Here to come between Dak and Jalen Hurts. Um the guy was phenomenal, both quarterbacks from I mean for Patrick Mahomes, Heck, I said it to you earlier, Danny, you were here in the pre show. But for Mahomes do that on one ankle with dudes that I'm sitting here drinking. Who are these receivers? Forget Kelsey. Kelsey's in its own class. He's a guy who's who's got Hall of Fame type type, you know, stats like these receivers.
And then the play calling, Yeah, I think it was more more of the listen Juju Smith's Schuster can be a number two guy and with Travis Kelsey and there he is the number two guy. But the way that they drew those plays up, the guys were open, Yeah, they were. The passes that Patrick Mahons were completing were two wide open guys. The way they tricked them on that speed motion fake come back twice for touchdowns. Absolutely crazy,
and all that is the studying tendencies. Obviously you're looking at Slay and recognizing when you going motion, Slays turning his back he got even look he going right because he only got to fight through that traffic and they hiked the ball on of me. He had no clue was coming back then and they went to the other side. The love they wrote about that. So that's it's on social media about Eric b enemy had watched the Jaguars game Jaguars Eagles and noticed that, okay, and this play,
this is what they do. So they ran it twice and then you see in the second half, and that's where Andy Reid was giving Eric being to me credit and just, um, this is what you haven't offensive coordinated for. Who's going to find something out here? Hey, look at what they're doing and this is what we can do here. And you talk about that second half of twenty four to eleven Chiefs outscoring Philadelphia in that second half, Dude, for the Eagles defensive coordinated Johnthan he got out coached.
I mean, he got out coach. I mean you talk about just they weren't just open. We're talking about ten eleven yard. I mean, no one's around them at all, man, I mean this is this is that kind of thing where you guys are pointing each other looking at That was some of the easiest throws that I've seen be able to be made in that type of game against
that type of defense. Because we've seen the Philadelphia Eagles defense and they know slouches, they know how to play, to play the game and the enemy and Read came out there in the second half and they had him dialed up. And that's how you want to see it. Yeah, that's how you want to see it. So, I mean, good for them. And the point that I made was
about them scoring thirty five points. Again in the Super Bowl era, you you you score thirty five points, you're supposed to win that game, especially with the defense that Philadelphia has. But I've said it all season along in the trenches, they were stout, but they had some problems on the back end. You've seen those teams be able to make those big plays against Brad Burry and Slay even though Pro Bowl all that stuff, they had some
holes in the secondary. And if you were looking for them to be weak in any area that was gonna be it. The way that Kansas City found those holes. I think it's what has everybody in amazement because you're not used to seeing Philadelphia's defense and receivers running streaking, buttonaked, wide open, uh down certain seams. And they talked about yesterday man about Kelsey and how his ability to just be open, the way that they specifically designed plays for
number eighty seven. Right, it's doable. You could get your star no, no, I know we're not going now. Then you could get your star the ball and wide open spaces, and you saw them scheme up for that. Look at the there was a certain point in this game that I was like, Man, Philadelphia is killing them time, possession, everything, Jalen Hurst, those big places for Jalen Hursts. In the first half, man, it was like they're gashing Kansas City. Kansas City did not have much of a pass rush.
Their defense seemed like they were off bounced, especially with that first drive. I mean, not group Chap. I won't expose all of our group Jack, but I will say that there I was like, look, this is this is a scout team. You know the way that they're gashing these guys and you know. I mean that. I don't know if you guys read the thirty third team. Oh that's what Robbie Gold said that Jalen Hurts was, you know, a guy that you could because I've been waiting to
get on him because I make him throw. He threw it, Look he ran it. My point, that's my that's my point is Jalen Hurst showed me that he has a big playability in his arm, not just with his legs. He could he was extending those throws down to his receivers. There was a couple with that one, I think right where Smith stepped out of bounce right at the fourth. If he puts this a little bit more air under that, he walks into the end zone. But he was under
the rest. But there were just times in this game I was like, oh, oh that's new. Whoa yeah, no, no, no, But they love to do that alone Lake to dude, They've been doing this whole year. Ain't no love. Jalen Hurts ain't been making those throws all year. This ain't new, specifically specifically in the Super Bowl. I'm watching him and I'm saying to myself, I wouldn't if I woke, if
I was a gambling man. I wouldn't have woke up today saying that the quarterback that had three hundred and four yards and the one that had one hundred and sixty eight yards that was gonna be Jalen Hurst with the one sixty eight. Let's not look like he act like he had been efficient throwing for one twenty five and four of those throws were for big plays or five yards and they yah daddy the rest of the way. Come on, now, you minimizing Jalen Hursts game to like like,
let's games, But I'm like, I'm not. I'm not going this four games out of the season. He had stats to look like Patrick Mahomes did. When we just said Patrick Mahomes had a great game, right, one hundred and eighty five yards, three touchdowns. How many times have Jalen Hursts done that also added to Russ, don't come now, don't come in here with that. I'm just don't come
in here with that. And all I'm saying. All I'm saying is you cannot you cannot say that you that you watched the Eagles play all season and believe that Jayden Hurts was a new quarterback last night like that's that's something that you didn't see him do the entire season when he was second an MVP running. What you're doing is you're taking the point that I'm making about the way that he played yesterday, No, and you're blowing
that up to be so much bigger. No. I was actually making the point about the thirty third team and what they said about him to even give this brother accompaniment, So let me do that. It hurts for me to do that, Okay, but I'm doing it him in the big Bazuka. The system guy, he hurts, the system guy he is that night he is that. I mean, what quarterback is it? What quarterback is it? Okay, okay, okay,
So what quarterbacks the system got in Andy Reids? No, that's that's fair, Okay, all right, if okay, if they both system guys, and I'm okay with that. But what quarterback goes out there without see your head coach bus is? But you know that's not what Michael Parsons meant when he said it. Correct, So let's let's not even let's not hold that ill and then you know I don't play for the hold Joe Elle that wait for the Eagles. The gout It. I was the gout it I was
rooting for. Had a hell of a game, Okay, I was. I've said on this show many times and say who do I want to do good? I want to see his story continue to be elevated because he's been through the lowest of the low some of the hardest moments that you can ever go through, specifically in college getting bench for two in the National Championship, going to Oklahoma State, getting the Brakes Blue off of him, and the college
football playoffs by LSU earlier this season. Like you said, they're looking for a guy, They're looking for reasons to find another quarterback, and all he did this year was take his team to the Super Bowl, get to the Super Bowl, and have one of the best games that we've ever seen out of any quarterback to play in that game. Yeah, So I'm happy for the dude. Happy for Patrick Mahomes too. Man. He played hell of a
game high angle sprain. I've had a couple of those, so to see him go out there and be able to do what he did on a high angle spring rush absolutely absolutely amazing. Travis Kelsey is a first ballot Hall of Fame receiver tighten whatever you want to call him, because can't nobody guard him? He is my homes and then it's Kelsey as far as being the two biggest difference makers on that field yesterday, let's take a break. There's one person involved in the game we hadn't really
hit on yet. Um that I look at not just this game, but several games. Okay, this person is performed, I believe at a very high level. At well, do that next. Danny McCrae Harrison, I'm knew, he scrugs. This is a play. It's not brought to you by Tostitos on Dallas Cowboys dot Com Radio, but Smithy King's Original Angel Food and New Angel Food Slim without added sugar. Steve spagnol defensive coordinated for the Kansas City Chiefs. This is the
second Super Bowl that he's been a part of. And he was also the defensive coordinator for the New York Giants when they upset the eighteen and no New England Patriots. And I look at Steve spagnol one, I just say, here's a guy that knows how to coach in these Super Bowl games. That defense recovered a fumble for a touchdown, got robbed of a second one. By the way I thought. I thought they got robbed. I thought there was a catch and shouldn't anyway, But what a catch? Whatever it all,
It all depends on the day. It all depends on the day, and whatever the league wants to But the defense was was good. They had they They got to Hurts, forced to fumble, Um sacked him twice. I just look at him and just say, you know, here's an underrated guy of of you know somebody that's in these games. And you can say, well, they gave up thirty five pulls, you won the game. They only gave it eleven points in the second half. He made the adjustments he needed
to do. Um, they've always been kind of a bend but don't break kind of defense. Absolutely, but they got the job done. And it's just kind of interesting when we passed around credit. I think about how Steve Spagnolo it's always gotten a little bit but not a lot for what he's done. If you're a coordinator doing you know, coordinating three Super Bowl teams here, you're doing something right
and you're having an understanding of the personnel. Sings a little calmon for the chiefs, huh, because I think I feel like the enemy get the same type of treatment. Oh well, I mean talk about credit not passed around to the right people. I'm just yeah, it's a theme, huh, Like it's not. I mean, for it's cool man, that man. He came up with some good stuff, like really the game winning stuff. He the game winning film session. The
film study of moment came from Eric. The enemy's two touchdowns on those plays, And I think, you know what I think. I don't know if you guys were baffled from the coin toss when Kansas City won the coin toss and gave it to Philly, you know, deferred to the second half. I was like, WHOA, don't do that. Get the ball, go down and try and score, because you know Philadelphia historically this whole season, that's been one
of the better first half teams in the NFL. And they showed you right from the word to take goal that they came right down and they scored seven points. I thought that was the first mistake. I was like, no, you don't want to do that, but you're right. He had a defense that I believe s facts was on a band don't break thing, but it was more or less for how they were going to perform in the second half. Here's why I was disagreed. And this is
just my thought. Okay, all right, you know what, get the ball in the second half, because one or two things will happen in the second half. Either the Chiefs will be ahead in the first half and here they go, get ready to try and put their foot on it in the third quarter to start the game. Or if they're down at halftime, they've got the ball with the ability to go down here and in the right let's get rolling. So and the second part have been happened,
where all right, there down they get rolling. Okay, mind's a little different. It's you have Patrick Mahomes on your team, who you you've seen multiple times within the two many offense be able to make a play. The biggest momentum you can get is scoring right before going in a half, knowing that you're getting the ball back come out of there, even if up or down. It's just, hey, man, I got a guy know if I give them fifty seconds at the end of a half, most of the time
I will get some points out of it. That's momentum. And then knowing that I'm coming back out and getting some So to me always when I have a quarterback like that ten or fourteen points right there in the middle fiddle part. And Michael Lombardio or talks about that the middle part of the game is where you can
win it. But yes, yes, um, but I just it was just so any times just watching you know, Patrick Mahomes just you know, be able to all right, they're winning a half to ain't got the ball the third quarterback or vice versa. I mean that that was a hell of a gamble though, guys. I mean it was you're down by ten at half and at that point, the Eagles are already looking. They scored seventeen points in the second, and it's called seventeen in the second, so
what are we talking about it? They were on their way dog so you so you say, you know, take the ball score first. I mean, first time they got the ball scored. Test can't see now while Philly scored, they scored two. So I mean, um, that was That's why I say it was a gamble on their part to give Philly because you know, I'm just I'm taking this in retrospect to how they've performed all season long. In the first half, all right, you want to try
and get out there, and you're right, they scored. Ken's City came right back and scored as well. But finally that defense did start. They stood up, and let's not act like I'm not gonna sit here and act like Philadelphias fense didn't stand up in the first half and the first they had a damn good job. They made adjustments whatever they did. And people that argue about adjustments
at halftime, but they made some adjustments. They saw something and let's not act like that offense from Philadelphia just hit the cold button. You know, they score points too. They continue to score eleven points in the second half. I can't. I go back to the fact that if you score thirty five points, you think you're supposed to win that game, especially with the number one defense, unless you got to do for the charge. Yeah, I think.
I think that field goal when when they went for the field goal after they've been going forward on fourth now so many times, and I'm like, Kansas City, they're gonna they're gonna get some momentum, They're gonna come back you like you know it, and it's it's hard. It's hard not to take because it's like fourth, it's like fourth and four. It's like a longer not longer situation. But it's like, man, these dude starting to catch on fire.
That puts us up by six. They got to score the nail by right, like you gotta go through all this and they got the points, but smart play them okay? To me. The other difference was that meant Kansas City had to be perfect, and they were. They were perfect the whole second half, right, That's what they meant that we got you guys got to stay perfect. And if I'm you know, when I think to Sirianni hey Man, at some point in time, we got this defense, well
we'll get something. That's you're thinking, because who's expecting anyone to be perfect? And they were perfect. Zero penalties in the second half for Kansas City, zero sacks allowed in the second half for Kansas City, zero sas in the game. Um, you know, they just did not miss anything. They That's why I just I think of the homes I'm blowing away to this guy and this offensive they were perfect.
There are times there are times when you when you're watching the game and I have to imagine as an offensive coordinator or a head coach and you're looking at your defense be out there, and you say, yeah, we probably not get another stop because, like I said, the way they dialed it up and the receivers were so open, you can tell they had them all balance, and they had they figured something out that the Eagles could not understand where they were coming from, what route concept was coming.
And I don't like I would have sat there and been like, yeah, I don't know, bro, I'm going forward on fourth because I don't think we can stop these dudes. This may be a difference in the game. I've been going forward on fourth down. There you're talking about the fact I don't know, man, like I may have called the time out and been like, hey man, let's do we have one of those players where we're sure we
can get four yards? Because if we do, this may be a really good time for us to go for that, because you just know, like you know Tom Brady, Patrick Mahone, Aaron Rodgers, you know those guys when they say, oh man, I'm down about six, I need seven. And when he kicked in it was up about six. Everybody who's watching that game says, yeah, that seven's coming. They'd be down. They'd be down before you know it. And your point is was proven. But I look at just the thought
process of what he had at that time. We got a good deep we've been really good all year long. Can we can we can we find it? Can we can we get one? What time? What time? And they couldn't do it? And they couldn't do it, And I go back to the and and the crazy thing is what you're saying is I would watch that that Philly Patriot super Bowl and it was exactly what you said.
It was like, hey man, nobody stopping nobody today. So we're pulling out a Philly special we pull I mean, that was the thing, and Doug Peterson talking about, hey man, I wouldn't leaveing nothing out there. I felt we had to go keep going. I just thought was Sirianni was thinking at the time of hey man, one time, you know, our guys can get one. We gonna stop, we can get you gonna stumble into one. That's what you're thinking at some point in time. And he was wrong, and
he was wrong. It was wrong, But I don't blame him on that. I thought, I this is just me. I'm watching the game. Okay, I'll do that. That makes I'll do that. I'll so you who believe that Patrick Mahomes gonna have a hell of a game and have a statement moment say you know what, Yeah, our defense is gonna stop this guy. This this it moved on. I mean, there's there's unstoppable, this train that's running through everything at this point in the second half. Somehow we're
gonna figure it out. Knowing that you would just watch these dudes be wide open for that whole second, you know, knew I'm talking about why you know you're right, You're right, And I'm just telling you I would. I when I saw that, how much time was that? I said, they're gonna be asking, hey, Patrick, where are you going to celebrate the Super Bowl? I'm going to Disney Lake. I said. At that point, you knew what he was about to do, right, But they were just like, you know, can they be perfect?
I mean they were perfect. It's just at some point in time, you're just thinking the law of average just just once and it didn't happen. And you know what, Yes, fault me for um not putting my homes into that Tom Brady category. But Mama, hit come that. Man. I'm
just thinking that your defense can't get you one. We watched the Buffalo game last year and in the same way Kanda Kanda City got you got changed over time, but same over time, like that side note, side note, Come on, man, I know you had to love the Serena Williams commercial when she redid the alphatino in any Giving. Sunday, I was gonna text you, but I was like, you know, I'm a saving for saving for the shot time I'm sitting there with the family repeated, how do you know
that's from the movie. I didn't give it Sunday we repeated on the podcast a lot of time. She didn't do it all the way, but but she didn't good enough that that, you know, for the die hard under student way was going. I wish they could have some had alba and therefore, but you know, was gonna cost him too much, buddy, Yeah, but but it was it was. It was good. But you look at that guy right over. You see a guy I don't go that it. So, yeah, I'm sitting on the COUCHWOX with the family and I'm
just repeating the line to it was good. It was good. Yeah. I was like, what you'll think about the TV commercials. They didn't throw you off and didn't make you look for you two commercial Really, you know what every the thing is. I gotta go YouTube because I watched it at home, and as I said, we were preparing for the daughter to go to school the next day, so I was in the middle of like being daddy and all that stuff, and I got on Twitter and I saw people tweeting about it, and I was upset that
I missed it. So I'm gonna give myself a chance to It was perfect timing, perfect timing. The way that it happened. They Yeah, it was perfect timing, perfect, did it? Confusion? Got you got me? I'm looking around sitting on the remote. You know. Now there was a bunch of good a good bunch of good commercials, man. I think the commercial of the Super Bowls fell off for a couple of years. Man, but they had some really good ones. They worked, They
worked on their game. People worked on their games. They go spending that much money on it. They wouldn't get somebody saying I had the best. No, I didn't understand YouTube spending all that money to have a cat act like they just playing, yeah, getting that one cats out the bag doing Yeah, but hey, not my money. You know, like some of the most watched videos on YouTube, on
Instagram hollow stuff are cats animals. So you know, it fit right into all the people that are really on YouTube and stuff that you're gonna start, you know what, you know that audience. Okay, I didn't. I don't know that audience. Yeah, people like to watch those animals, man. You know the cat like a lot of cat ladies. Okay, okay, it's cat men out there too. Yeah, yeah, yeah, they got they got men. They got a lot of cats. I don't know those people they just I'm not gonna
even get they got that. They got millions, They got millions of followers on YouTube, making a whole bunch of money off of them. And they there and they can't they pay cats. So you know what it was, I buy me another one. Okay. I didn't enjoy Ben Affleck's Dunkin Donuts commercial. That's the one I didn't see. I don't know how. I did a nice job, man, he did it. Let's again, did a nice job. I liked at the end with them. Did the wife comes up? And you know this way you say you're going you
say you're going to work. So anyway, I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. When we come back, your thoughts on the Super Bowl halftime show, I had one person who complained to me about it. So I want to get your take on Rihanna doing her thing with a guest. Special guest at her performance, Haarson Danny mccraig. He scrags the players. By the way, it was after a show we did here one day and I walked upstairs to walk out, and I see Steve Wish from NFL Network. I never see Steve Wish here. You don't ever bring Steve Wish here because you have Jane Slayer from NFL Network. So Steve is here and a massive crew of not NFL network who Steve works for NFL films people. It's up Steve, Hey, how you dude? What's doing? Are we doing something with Jerry?
And Steve keeps himself close to We're friends. So Steve is holding on something here and I see all these people. Then they go in and shooting the stuff out front. I'm like, man, smell like smell like Hall of Fame type thing. Hit up to Marcus ware later on. A week later, hey, man, really hope you getting out. Hr F man, I'm really rooting for nothing. Bees d Ware
and I are cool. He always get nothing. And then so I ended up watching the special over the week after he got in, and then it was just saying I thought they came over here and they did it all here at the Star Jerry had his coat unveiled him and then he d Ware was there with wife Angelo,
So congratulations to him. Congratulations to Chuck Halley overdue. I'm very sad that one more time in the Hall of Fame wants to put someone in when they can't really enjoy it, because Chuck is dealing with dementia, so his son was there. And then of course Dak Prescott getting the Walter Peyton Man of the Year Award. Many times you've done the read for the Faith Fight Foundation for him, so he's honor as the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award winner to become the fourth one in Cowboys history.
I thought that was pretty cool. So great week for the Cowboys. That's amazing for that, especially how it ended for him this season for him to end on knowing that one of the honors that you can get in the NFL is getting the Walter Played Man of the Year, and that got it because because he is, like, he's that guy. He's that guy. He's a great leader on and off the field. He really cares. He really puts his time into making sure that he gives back to
other people and in his shows. And I'm glad he was he was rewarded for for what he's been doing throughout his entire career. And that's why I ask people all the time, Man, how can you not pull for Dak Prescott? You know, I know there's a lot of hate, as you saw yesterday when he's getting the award. Philadelphia Eagles fans boo, that's why they're despicable human beings. And you know, but his him pouring in to the community and doing things like he didn't have to do that
with this time. He didn't have to set up a foundation that helps people. And that's a part of mental awareness, cancer and all the things that affect him. You know, I mean, so many people affected by so much that they don't even try to pour into the way that he does. And it's just a phenomenal dude then, And I love that about him. I love that about his character. Um, hey, man, he was there. I hope he was able to suck it all up because man, we knew I need you that.
You know what I'm saying. He was suited and booted. But yeah, let's add that helping off. Yeah, shout off to him. Shout out to d Ware, old teammate of mind, former teammate. Well deserved, which was last year, but uh yeah, well deserved and great guy. Look forward to hearing the speech. Yeah,
great guy. One hundred and thirty eight sad. I mean this is these are numbers that are just crazy, and especially in this passive the league guys are gonna get there, uh and just over the years, but we'll realize how the league has changed, you know with Russian records and things like that that may immage record may never get ever get broken because of the way that the league
is transformed. But really happy for DeMarcus Ware getting in, Like in Holly, those I mean, those guys that have paved the way for so many uh to be here and do the great, great things that they do to get that to get that respect and acknowledgement from the Hall of Fame. You know how much it means to former players and I thought that was I just think DeMarcus Ware is no one more deserved. He's one of the nicest dudes you ever want to meet, you know,
and very genuine as a person. At two amazing moments that I think of a d Ware's career. One was he and I Christmas Eve and toys are us off one fourteen trying to buy gifts and he kind of knew things were at the end for him with the Cowboys, and I said, you're gonna be fine, and he was worried about you know what's going to happen next, And you're gonna get a job, by the way, and you're gonna get paid. And he was sitting here, I mean this,
you know, as all he's done in his career. He was in doubt, like you know, I don't know him, Like, you're gonna get a job, You're gonna make a lot of money. And then when he's at the Super Bowl Lea by Adim and the Broncos win it, and he and I were doing an interview and I just said, remember that Christmas Eve and it was just you know,
and his face lit up. It was just really cool to see someone who in Danny, you've been there as a player where you've got this fear and uncertainty about what's next, and then to see him go from that moment of here to the apex of what you get in that industry. I was really happy for him, and I was happy for him in a way that when I got to cover Vitsky to see someone at this low point, yeah, and then get to this high point knowing that one it was earned and two they're just
to him good people. And that's one thing I would hope, you know, we can convey on this show how good of a person that d Ware is and I hope Dak Prescott can enter that same category where you see a really good person be able to climb the highest top mountaintop of the sport and have that moment because it's it's pretty cool when you see it. I got the first super Bowl I was ever. It was John Elways super Bowl. That was really cool to see everything
that it meant. And then he kind of admitted that, Yeah, I allied to you guys saying that, you know, I didn't have to win a super Bowl for my career to be great. That was that was that was really that was really cool. So um, yeah, congratulations, d Where I wonder who the band is gonna be for his uh for then act? You know, you gotta you have to you know, the Hall of Fame. You gotta have a party. So who's who's your Yeah, Jerry will hook
him up. Well he can hook you up. But first off there's Jerry's party, and then there's over here justin timber Lake. What he did. They made a they made a tent stage for made it on this golf course. It created it. Um, and then the next one nobody did theirs, and then the next everybody had theirs. LT had t I T I was great. Yeah, I mean we ranked on the stage maps. In this single with Tony about living the dream maybe a long way from I'm like, I'm like it wasn't timber Lake because timber
Lake was really cool. And then um, Emmett had Bell b the bot at his man. That was what yes, yes, let you know about that kissing. It was great. Emmett got mad at me because I brought in uh more than the plus one. Oh you you that guy? Yeah, well I tried not to be that guy. But Matt Barry was on ESPN, so I had my photographer. I made sure my Foti got in with me. So Matt Berry from ESPN wanted to slide in, come in, come on like O no as soon got him in. Yeah,
you know, I go. I don't drink, so I'm all good. So they all want to take pictures with Emmett. Emmett realizes he works with me, and he got lick in his hand. So he got in free and he drinking and he dranking the liquor and dud looked Duce. Dudes looked at me. Yeah, I got it. If I'm here's the thing for me. I'm just thinking this. If the markets were it was probably at the super Bowl yesterday, jay Z was in attendance. It would be so fitting for him to have jay Z is this? I mean
that's that would be so good. Girls, you might spend all this. We would know what I'm tying it into. What I'm tying this into is Jerry Pockets jingle Man. You ain't getting that. Rihanna was there, so maybe he's a Rihanna. Can't for Rihanna. She gonna be busy. She had before, she ain't made music a seven years she before the how long got she got a baby on the way and you know all the song I thought she was I thought the halftime show she was tremendous.
I thought it was tremendous, out standing, out standing. Look, my thing is I historically judge halftime performances off of some of the greatest ever Okay to me, okay, greatest ever, greatest ever super Bowl performance. Give it to him here. Yeah, yeah, but you might be able to participate in this, young youngster, tell me, I know, I'm gonna let you have this. I'm gonna let you walk down. It's all good. Hey, I'm not going there. If y'all didn't, if y'all didn't
see Prince in Miami, I'm sorry. Prince in Miami Purple rain and it starts to rain. One of the best halftime performances ever life. True. But what they got to do with what we said about Rihanna. No, No, I'm just saying I'm basing this. I'm basing this off for greatest halftime performance. No. Was it a great performance? Yes, that's that's all we said. It was a great rule. Okay for me, I expect the Princess number one, but
I wasn't looking at here. You better be better, Prince about to see it rain or none of these Rihanna came out all that pregnant little pre man. I'm like, but you didn't know she was pregnant? Then it wasn't But everybody who came up with the show knew she was pregnant, so didn't they had to fit into where
she knew she was pregnant? How you know you could see it now I'm talking about before, but before that, when they were cho choreographing the show, all the people who were setting it up new knew she was No. I mean that that show. What I saw was great. And I have also been in the building for several of these things, so you see, man, you know the work it texts whatnot? Man? What she did was, Man, I looked a girl and I did it. It was It was fantastic. I was entertained. The songs were great. Um,
I think I liked it more than last year. What let me finish? Last year? I was there sitting seven rolls from the top of the so Far Stadium. Take yourself out of that, literally, dude, Literally, I couldn't see. I saw a stage, but I saw like me and then looked like an aunt and I didn't know where he was because because they had they had those different levels they were at. So I then I had to start watching them iPads. You could just be like me, Okay,
now I don't care where I was sitting there. I thought last night's performance, because I'm a Rihanna fan, was better than the prior year. And the prior year was great. But I enjoyed. I enjoyed. I enjoyed the show when I went back, and when I went back and watched it, and then I saw what Rihanna did last night. I thought she did a better job. And last year was great. And now they're on a they're on a to me,
they're on a projectory. We're watching good shows. I saw Bruno Mars do what that that super bowled them when they when they beat down, uh, the Broncos beat down and got beat down by by down Big russ Um, Bruno marks is fantastic Um. For a while, man, it was blowing out a bunch of old dudes. After after the Janet Jackson thing, but christ is God with her leg they wrote out a bunch of old dude. But now, yeah, you know this is you know, look, I'm not taking
anything away from a performance. I'm like I said, I only look at those those performances based off of some of the greatest that we've seen, the top beyance at all. Okay again, and it definitely last season when Snoop came out in the six for are y'all talking about man? I mean, that was what that was cool? But I like, what are y'all talking about? Are you kidding me? Like I said, you know, I mean, I love Rihanna did
your thing. I mean, and to know that she did it also pregnant, that even adds another element to it. But dog, come on that you look at you look at any playlists I got, there's no Rihanna songs on that than it is any of the other dudes that we was listening to last years. I'm just saying, that's just that's just what it is. When I listen when I songs you heard last night, I was like, oh, yeah, you're right. But also got with the glos man man
that was that was on that song. I was about brother, work, work work, I got all that he act like he please. I love that, I said it. I said, it was good. I'm talking about the first thing you said was I'm going up in her story. You didn't know what I'm when I'm hacking around her phone call I got last night from so just like hacking. And then I'm realizing it's not meant for you. What do you mean it's not for me? What he is talking about? I enjoyed it.
You're an older demographic trying to get you and I trying to get that. Absolutely, Okay, that's not what's going on. Looking at they getting Danny, they got me, They got they get they getting my kids. You're not there, make you out. It's like here, what I praed anybody, anybody with any music and were standing time, we're there. You are ridiculous. You are ridiculous. And that's not the kids don't know who vanities six that. I'm sorry, talking back in my day, heads, Oh back in my day. That's
Michael came out waiting a halftime and Michael popped. Y'all. Y'all, hey man, y'all better, y'all better go back. Know your history. Kids. I know they're racing a lot of history and you don't know who it ain't. They ain't gonna raise the prints, hey man, you better go back. And everybody going to watch amazing say the Florida's taking the prince halftime shot, the books, take out the library. You're doing a good service. Everybody don't get you the his story, Yeah, you story unbelievable.
I can't believe y'all with me in that category. Whatever you ask the question, I tell you the truth. Trying to say, so you didn't get get done, like Stephen A. Smith. That's all we trying to try to help you up. It's all good. Man. I enjoyed the heck out of And then the background dancers, man, I thought they were on. I just say I marveled at how you could have that many and that many folks be on point. I'm like wow. And then just know when she was pregnancy,
how I'm like, she's got to be tighter. She was. I'm saying she wasn't six weeks right, I'm like, she's got to be tired. If she rolls. I'm thinking, I'm like, that's hot. We had been in those stadiums before. We know how high like this ain't no thirty feet off the grounds. It's up there and you could kind of see it shaking a little bit. I'm like, man, she held it too. She was saying, yeah, no, she was phenomenal. Man, she was phenomenal. I got nothing but love for her.
And uh, you know, like I said, I've seen some of these shows and what they do, So props to her, um and anybody that rolls out there that does. That's a hard show to do. Um, you have no idea how quick it is and how they running out when the people who are in the hallways getting it in and running the thing out there taking it off. It's a hard thing to do. And UM, props and your mom doing it. You already a mom not doing another job, all right. Uh heck Ma Harrison, Danny mccram knew he scrubs.
