one situations. And you saw what he did. He rose up to the challenge. Man had a hell of a game. It was against a lot of zone coverage, but that's what we said. He was struggling. That what we figured he was struggling. He wasn't able to get into those open spots and give back an easy target to throw it. And for the last two weeks, my man CD said, I want that contract, I want that contract that the tap, I mean that Adams got. I want the contract that a J. Brown guy. I want to be one of
those guys. And he came in and did his thing, So shout out the city left. That's what stood out to me, because we need a number one guy. We need somebody who the defense has to lean and safety over to push over a linebacker again underneath curls and flats and all that stuff. We need some extra attention to one of our receivers, and Cede Lamb has been showing that he could do that, So shout out to him. Once you said Dak shot, Dak had an amazing game.
He had an amazing game. That is the dack to where you say, if we have a great defense, but sometimes that defense doesn't show up, they have a bad day, can our offense come in and pick it up for us? And that's what I saw. Our defense came out, they didn't play as well as I thought that we could have or we should have. In our officers like, don't worry, we got it this time. So that's what stood out to me. But so much stuff that we talked about. I'm sorry, there's so much stuff we talked about on
the players lounge. You guys, we went over all last week when you were talking me and you were talking about Cede Lamb and him get Justin Jefferson and the other wide receivers in the league. The way he was going to rise to this talking about Treyvon Diggs going man and man with aj Aj Brown, the way that they rolls to that. Man, it was just so many adjustments that we saw them make right off the top. And Kellen Moore tom consistency and proof. He gotta we
gotta give him. We gotta give him his credit in this situation, man, because I think other than the Covntae Turpin reverse throwback to Dak, that's the only wild player I saw other than that. Other than that, I thought he kept it clean. My back. No, No, you're good, you're good man, And y'all right, everything, y'all, y'all said. He you know, it was right to stand out. You know,
Dak had an amazing game. The man. After that first terrible interception, he you know, resilience, He came back and was able to respond like a top quarterback should be able to Ceedee Lamb had one of this better games of the season, might be his best game. The guy seemed unstoppable out there in the slot. And I don't know why, you know, the Philly he's in the slot, why would you not, you know, put your best guy on him. He's killing obviously nobody else can watch him.
But anyways, he went out there and dominated. But to me, what tut out to me was that shaky offensive line. I'm not gonna lie to y'all. That offensive line looked extremely shaky. And I'm talking about the Dallas Cowboys offensive line. Yeah, you get up six sacks out there, six of them things. Six sacks. That ain't gonna cut it. That ain't gonna cut it. But kudos to this team and kudos to the offense overall because they came to play and they
came to the ball. But that offensive line has got to get better if they want to improve on on where they're at. Right now, we all know that moving from left to right ain't easy. It ain't easy. And you saw nobody's names out. But I'm just moving from left to right, as we've been talking about for the last two season. Why don't you just moving on from left to right? All right? To look, it ain't that easy, Nate, He told out that easy. It don't matter if you
Hall of Fame guy, you're all Daycade guy. It is a hard thing to do, especially when you it's your first time doing this since with twenty ten, like it's hard to do. It is. It's a good team. I mean, you know they would out and be a good football team. And a whole lot of people who are DAK, who are just DAK detractors always say, well, he didn't be anybody good. That's good football team, defense, good number one pass rushing the league defense. That was a good football
team they beat. He's not eight and three against Philadelphia and his career so um that that that that speaks out to me. Also, Durn Bland, dron curse back there. Um, there was discussion about you know, what do you do with Bland next year? What do you mean, um, do you put him at the slot next year? Put in the corner? And and this was somebody who covers the
team a whole lot. That's like, you know what, with Anthony Brown being a free agent, they may decide to let Anthony Brown go and put Darn Bland over the slot. And then, um, you know, let's say mckenzy, Alexander place decently bring him back. Then he got Jalu recovering. But the Cowboys in a situation already we were talking about
free agents. They can't bring everyone back. But Dron Bland may have answered, or at least he's putting a whole lot of thought into next year that they could look to him and saying, you know what, we want you to go be that guy. He's a ball guy. I mean, man, he is five hits five yeah, five is a rookie. I believe that ties the club record. Um. I was just very impressed by him. And then in jay Ron
Curse Jalalon Curses is such a solid guy. I remember Zimmer he used to say this about Greg Ellis's I never worry about that guy because he's gonna do what he's supposed to do. He's gonna be where he's supposed to be, says a coach. I don't worry about that. And Jerona Curse man just reminds me of what Jim talked about Greg Ellis. That guy's gonna be there doing his job. And I just thought that the two uh. I just thought he's just played another good football game.
And he spent the week talking about we need to be better. We need to get rid. He was one of the guys after Jacksonville. We you know, we got to get rid of this man. I have all the respect in the world for a guy to sit up here and say this is what we need to do. And he did his part. Everyone else was also doing their part there. So my hat talked to Jake Kurston.
Michael did this thing too. How, Yeah, I don't want to fail to mention if you watched the film on what the guy was doing out there, how he was disruptive and having Garni and you run all over the place and then chasing him down. He was looking at who was coming and he was looking at Michael Parson, so he couldn't even see receivers out there. That just goes to the impact of what this guy can do. Like he said, stat sheet might not show it, but his impact distructing everything out there.
That's why you call him the big bazook gun. It is man um. You know, I put on the text chain about what's more concerning for y'all. The offensive line
are the secondary, our young secondary. And I think in those moments when you see Devantage Smith having the kind of game that he had against Nation Right, against some of those young guys that was getting those reps, Duran Bland to me and I'm telling you, Doc, I'm waiting to jump out the cake on him because I've seen him have some games where the jump out the cake about it, you know, because because I believe that the young man is he has, like his ball skills are
second to none. And then you think about where they drafted him and the kind of talent that he has. Where I think him and Nation right there for is Nation Right is a more out of phase, can play in zone, can sit on routes, whereas I questioned him
durn Bland on that. So it's like you get the best of both worlds out of two guys and the way that dan Quinn used them in that situation because apparently when we talked about what the defense was gonna do, rush four blitz all that you saw them be settled with. We're just gonna bring out four guys. We'll bring will bring pressure if we need to, but we gotta get pressure with our guys. And that was good enough for our defense to move guard to miss you off of
his spots. But man, we got something in this young secondary number twenty six that that that kid he has an opportunity when you that's what you said, what we're gonna do with him? Like do what we get rid of him? That's the damn show. So whatever he plays, I just think he's, Yeah, he's one of those guys that do you look at right now? His potential is man through the rule ahead. So the way he's playing, because they're a lot we talked on this show and
I've heard other people. Cat's gotta go get a corner in the first round. You gotta go get a corner in the first round. Dron Bland is the kind of guy that consider here, may you say, do we need to do that, or do we need to go d line or do we need to go go oh lot? I mean, I just think he just gives you options.
He definitely gives you options out there. And the thing I love most about this guy is if it's hard to go from inside to outside to back to the inside, and they had him moving all over the place the entire game, and to be a rookie in to do that is extremely impressive because you think about it all right, in base package, you can have him on the outside and you don't have to waste the first round pick on the guy that can just play on the outside because when you go to nickel, you can move him
into this nickel spot and you can have somebody on the outside maybe help him with a safety over the top. You don't have to go high end on that guy. I would do high end on defensive line because that's something I'm sure we'll talk about. But when you talk about the Ron Bland and what he's able to do, Danny,
you could talk about it as well. The guy he ain't able to be a ball guy at that nickel spot is one of the best characteristics you can have as a nickel because you can flitch, you can tackle, he can strip. You've seen the guy rip the ball away from the wide receiver out there. That is something that is unbelievable. And this guy, I meant, this guy's the limit if he can stay healthy. I think he got something special on that darn blam. Yeah I like him. Uh,
Like I said, you always want a ball guy. The Byron Jones is not here because he was not a ball guy. They paid fifty million dollars for Brandon Carr and they want him to get interceptions and they say it didn't pan him out because he wasn't going to get interceptions. They don't they care how much you cover a guy, but they really want you to be able to be an impact player and turn the ball over. And he's been doing that all season, moving inside, outside,
whoever it is, whoever he's covering, it doesn't matter. He's able to read rob concepts. He's he's going to attack the ball, not letting it come to him. He's getting like real interceptions, not tips and overthrows, like he's going to attack the ball. So yeah, man, I like I like it. I like. Am I nervous about our secondary Hell yeah, oh, don't act like DeVante. Let me tell you something. He made some catches, but you're not going to see a guy like him every week, right, You're
