The following is a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club Cowboys. This is the player's Lounge, broadcasting live from Dallas Cowboys World headquarters at the Star No. Your hosts Barry Church, Danny mccraig, and Neue Scrugs. Victory Monday, Yes, sir, starting a little earlier, two and a half earlier, hours earlier than normal. Players lounge right here on Dallas Cowboys dot Come. Brought to you by Hotels five in a row five victory at

Seeing Instance twenty sixteen five Tuesday were good. Yes, Barry Church. Yes for Cowboys safety Danny mccraig, the ultimate survivor for Dallas Cowboys safe. You have new Scrugs. Players lounges about these two guys in their perspective as players, as we talk about things of the Dallas Cowboys in and the National Football League A thirty five twenty nine over time, when you and I thought the Cowboys win by seven, um,

they won by six. You thought it would be more of a blowout, And I mean I got you no, no, ye you know what they say. I didn't say if but we all won? Yeah? Yeah, Well, as new he says anytime he loses, well they beat we were good, right good, We're going to Vegas. We catching showing money if we did that. But uh, look, this is it reminds me. I've been watching the Muhammad Ali documentary on PBS by Ken Burns. If you have not seen it as tremendous um. Angelo Dundee was Ali's training Angelo Dundee.

I mean, the best fighters went to Angelo. And I remember when he was training Sugar Ray Letard and Sugary Letards in fight and Sugar it's just not doing what he needs to do, you know, the better fighter in the ring. He's just not getting it done. And he looks at me. You're blowing a kid. You're blowing it. And I'm sitting there watching the cowboys shoot themselves in the foot time after time, and I'm thinking, where's Angelo Dundee to come tell the cowboys right now at home?

You're blowing it. You're blowing it. Because the thing we spoke about on the players lives last week was happening. You could have to beat them and they'll let you beat yourself. And the Cowboys were doing that in this football doubt. But they won like a great Botcher who doesn't come to the ring with his best And you guys have played the game. You don't play sixteen now seventeen perfect Sundays. That's not gonna happen. But you left the stadium with a win. And now, I always remember

one time when the Cowboys had a bad winner. To Wade Phillips, he said, we're not gonna apologize for winning. What I doubt you can't do that, I mean, and you go out there and it just goes to show you how much this team has changed the culture, the moxi of this team. Because before twelve penalties for one hundred and say that again, the culture and the moxie of this team has changed. Yea, the mojo moment that we clowned upon seemed to come to light a little

bit here. I mean, look, they had twelve penalties for one hundred and fifteen yards two turnovers in the first half. This would have killed the Cowboys last year. But they just like a boxer, just like you said, they get hit,

they CounterPunch, they get hit again, they CounterPunch again. And Dak Prescott, who started off a little slowly, all right, I mean he started he wasn't putting the ball where he did to be at a couple of those things in the past, kind of bait him in the butt early, you know that that early interception in the in the

red zone, he kind of forced it in there. To say, Wilson popped it up safety, got an interception, and then we go to the goal line on the one inch line, which you should have scored him, you know, third down. But I'm gonna say nothing that. But we go to that play and we've seen it happen time and time again with Prescott. He leaps over reaches, leaps over reaches, gets to touchdown. This time. You know it been him

in a but a little bit. My man had a perfect jab, popped it out, balls on the ground, New England's ball. But you sit there, you think, oh, it's just not our day. You know, we can't we got we block up. We can't score off a block points. It's over. We ain't going it. We ain't getting the calls going our way. This is New England. What can we do. All we did is to come out in the second half. Defense stepped it up. After the halftime.

The four drives that the Patriots had, they only a mass thirty nine yards after that and the until you know, get later to the game. They started doing a little bit more. But that gave us a chance to fight back in battle. And even though our run game wasn't crazy, it wasn't, you know, off the chains, it did enough to keep that New England the defense honest and Dak Prescott, Ceedee Lamb, the playmakers they had out there, they just started to go on to work. And I'm starting to

be on Danny sat on this one, Ceedee Lamb. He's starting to take that he's starting to take that crusp up there. He's starting to be that number one guy. And I know, you know Cooper was hampered a little bit. But that's the hard thing about our offense. How do you plan to attack them defensively? Like like Cooper's down a little bit, Our running games not as stout as it could be. Ceede Lamb's bawling out. You got Noah Brown catching passes, taking it to distant. He did. He

won a lot of us one on ones. He was a chain mover out there. I mean, you got said Wilson. Said Wilson, Who's just making immaculate catch after immaculate catch, fourth and fourth and you go to you what maybe fourth option at receiver, and he makes one of the best catches of the game. Over the top, twirling catches

it two feet in bounds, keeps the chains moving. This to me was the most impressive victory so far this season from the Dallas Cowboys because it just showed how much fight they had and no matter how bad they're getting beat down on, how many mistakes they made offensively, they were still able to overcome that and get the W. And like you said, I mean, you're not gonna apologize for winning. This was an ugly win, but they won the game. They showed you they can win in different

with fallaists. Okay, listen, I'm gonna keep it positive, Okay, And I know we all feel really good about the ugly Okay, but some of the mistakes that we made

in this game. I was watching it and it just took me back to Atlanta last year where we came through when we won sometime the conflict it went to our side, right, We just got lucky on some instance where it was like, all right, today is our day, right because no matter no matter how many things go bad, we can find out some things to make way to make some things go right, right, and the on side kick with Atlanta last year was was one of those opportunities for us to make a play, and we did

and then we come back and we win the game right now. But other than that, the game was sloppy, talking about turnovers, you talk about some of the clock management stuff that was going on that has been consistent over the last three weeks. We got out of there, and yes, resilience is a thing, right, but there's Arizona coming up, all right, and we have to play Arizona, alright.

He've Beennesota starting to roll, all right, and get Kirk Cousins and they got Justin Jefferson, thieland and Cook out there. So I think so, I think that it is it's great that we want and I'm really really happy that we did. Kelly Moore still in his bad right, Dan Quinn still as bad. We got to tighten up some

of our run fits. But when it when it really came time for us to make some plays and change the game and set the tempo, we did, and mostly with trade Munt Diggs this time it was not Michael Parson. Diggs big hits on the sideline interception for six and I did give up the touchdown, but it was still a momentum thing with him. Um. But going into the bye week, I hope that we go back and this is not one of those games where we throw the film away. Hey man, you know it was going to

the bye week. We were on the winning streak and we just got to win the game. Go back and watch this film and say, hey, when we play something, because no matter what, the patrons were two and three team,

all right, yeah, they weren't special. When we play some of the some of those teams with the winning records and those teams that are on the roll and can finish some of those drives, we're gonna have some issues if we don't go back and watch and say this is these are some of the things we need to

clean up. But it was. It was great. I mean that was the first five minutes of the game and the last five minutes of the game absolutely one of the best TV shows I've ever seen in my side heart was bumping and yes CD lamb Yes, yes this is no dig. I want to say this allout, no dig Maury Cooper. But we saw this last last year when it was fourth and whatever and Cede Lamb is the one running the over route and he ended up dropping at that time. And you see it again this year.

When you gotta have when you have those guy to have in situations, it's Cede Lamb who's making the plate and he turns a twenty yard play into a touchdown and overtime the way again by I'm just saying that the guy is emerging as our top guy. And you know the baby if you want to. But you watched the game yesterday and he was the guy. And defensively, like you said, we gotta get into the lab, we gotta get into the film room, because in that second half,

the Patriots found a little something. They found that run game Stevenson and Harris. They were getting about five yards a pot without even getting touched. I mean, that's what brought them back into the game. I thought the Patriots were dead in the water. I was like, you know what, they had their offenses gotten stagnant. They've had four drives with a total of thirty nine yards in the second half so far. This game is a rap. I thought I was gonna be that Carolina game where you know,

the second half we just exploded as an offense. But that defense they found a couple of cracks in there. They were running the ball well in the second half and it almost got them the victory. So we definitely got to get in the laugh defensively and go over those run fits. I'm sure we'll talk we'll break down this, this digs when you got beat on a double move and all those type of things, and the angles that the safeties are working. We'll talk about that a little

bit later in the show. But to me, that was a little bit concerning how they were able to run that ball because they got away from it. Because the first half when they went down the field and scored those touchdowns, they were running the ball great on this defense. Yeah failed and it was like, oh man, this is this the Rams game and exactly, but they went away from it, which I don't understand. Why did you know you why wouldn't you keep your foot on the gas pedal?

But they went away from it. They came back in the fourth quarter and they found it a gift. So to me, we gotta make sure we button that up a little bit because that can be you know, going against a better a better team more quote, and a team that's more situated for the run, it could be

difficult for our defense. Going back to see Lamb a career high nine reception for one hundred forty nine yards, two touchdowns, including the game winner from thirty five yard touches on my fantasy and what I ended up just just based off what you're saying right now, Okay, the Cedie Lamb is the number one receiver. Don't know emerging is I don't want to don't want to get a shot. Okay. You know they be on Twitter now saying Twitter Okay, yes,

social media was pretty much proclaiming him. They've been they've been tagging these players. Okay, so I just want to make sure that that I'm tagging me smoking and for me just just my perspective is this. You really have two ones. And you've got Cooper who was taking top five in his draft, and you've got Ceedee Lamb who

was a first round pick. This is what You've got two great weapons here, and depending on how a defense wants to play it, you know, some days it's gonna be your, It's gonna be you, other days it's gonna be you. But man, what what great weapons that you have at the Arsenal and let's also take into a fact Cooper note hundred percent. He's still out here ball and giving you what he has, but he's not an one hundred percent You know that Tampa Bay game before you end up get hurt. We saw what he could

do out there wall. So the Cowboys have two excellent options that not a whole lot of people in this league outside of Tampa Bay have. And yesterday was Seed's opportunity in his turn. And he continues to get better, which is what the hope of what you want to see. And as Bill Belichick was trying to take people away the Cowboys, okay, final, you want to do that, We'll go here, We'll go there. What an excellent job by by Dak Prescott to involve so many people, but he

was absolutely outstanding. How about this number here from a stat five hundred and sixty seven yards of offense were the most yards that Bill Belichick has allowed as a head coach in his twenty seven year career. I told my man Church. Church was like, hey man, I don't know that Bi didn't have something for the run. Though I did say that he was going to have something for the run, he didn't have something to say it, but it's like a poisons though this is good. I

wanted to. I wanted to bring this out on the podcast because you know they're gonna be put some people who want to, you know, poop poo this. So I said, all right, let me go back and look at what happened with Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay five and one team, the only team to beat the Cowboys, beating on the last second field goal. When it came to first downs, Tampa Champa at twenty two against New England. Cowboys had thirty two Canada total yards Tampa three hundred and eighty

one total yards. The Cowboys had five hundred and sixty seven. Now Tampa play in the rain. They played in the rain, but start looking at just how things will go Tampa two sixty one passing, Cowboys four forty five third downs. Tampa was better than the Cowboys nine of nineteen, Cowboys three to thirteen. When it came to rushing, Tampa one twenty, Cowboys one hundred and twenty two to Both had two turnovers. Time of possession New England. Uh, I mean should say

Tampa had thirty three fifty five against New England. The Cowboys were over time had thirty nine seventeen, so we still had one twenty two Russian. Yes, so let's combine, combine, hey one, just we'll come by at thirty one Russians two. Tampa is a Super Bowl champion. People just put them in this category. The Cowboys are doing some stuff. What the Cowboys are doing some things here, and I just sometimes feel, especially from a national standpoint, you have two things.

Either people want to keep a whole bunch of praise on the Cowboys, or there are people who just want to just just the naysayers want to find everything negative and just kind of matching up. Just Hey, New England made life tough on Tampa. They made life tough on Dallas a little bit. Dallas shot themselves in the foot a lot. That game should have been a blowout. But

you know, you're right about that. Even though Tampa was playing in a torrential downpour, it was it was, it was pouring out there, so the offensive numbers ain't gonna be as high. I still feel as though this Cowboys team as a whole, if we were matched up against Tampa Bay, you know, next week, I feel like we would give it to the to the Buccaneers I feel like Dallas right now is the better team. And that just goes to show you how deep this team is. Look,

I mean, Tyre Smith goes out. We're like, I know, I was a first. When he came back, I knew he was winning. I was like, he's kind of fighting and he kept running. He can't hutting out of it. He was running, And I would say this, those are those are that's an injury that you cannot avoid. That's like, that's not not the neck injury. He got rolled back injury.

We got rolled up on can That's not one of those ones where it's like, man, this dude always injured, you know what I'm saying, putting a handstring or whatever. You clearly see the dude. Was it Tony Poler? Somebody roll up on the back of his ankle, He goes out, he comes back in. At that point, I'm like, yes, because you knew it was gonna get a little rough, right,

It was, oh yeah, you do you know? But I will say this, man, the sec he came in there and they're like he was just out there getting beat like a drum. No, it was. It got rough, but he was for a couple of times he held his own. They started. It wasn't you know, it wasn't as bad as before when it was like Tyrn Smith is out. You know, all hell's gonna break loose. He held his own for a little bit. Then he started to get a little you know, right, he got about it and

then Humes times to the Yeah. I literally it's like it's like a baseball you know, in a baseball game. All right, thanks for the two innings. Time. We good, we gott. I was excited when I saw that man back in the game. I was like, yes, here we go, because we knew at that point we were going to have to make some more plays in order to win the game. I'm like, I don't know what the guys that we got in there? Right, we got two backup tackles in the game, right, and and no matter how

good still is doing, you bring another one in. But like you said, Bill Belichick saw that saw him running to the to the locker room, and what he said, he pulled out the full blitzer. He fulled dog. He had all blitzer he filtered and XL filtered blitzes, and then he just ran them all and you start seeing, oh man, we got we gotta figure out a way to get the ball out of hands quick. Now we gotta run it. Missed direction. Then Tyree came back in and he saw Dak Prescott go back to work and

he was cooking. But what Belichick should have done and he should have kept going up the middle because Connor Williams. That wast Connor Williams. And be honest, they got to put more bricks in their pocket. Man, we've been talking about they was getting pushed back. I'm talking, I was in his face. All those dudes was in their face getting pushed back. He will he almost caused him the game with that, with that two holding penal in the same So listen, you think about it. He was getting

this butt worked out. You got Vita Vale who we talked about game through. You got Hard Graves that we talked about. We've been talking about this same part of the offensive lines since the beginning of the seasons. Center right guard or center left guard, which one left guard, center left guard. They got that right there, that combo, it's it's it's it's a glaring weakness big time. Right in half of the time they come a right Well, you're not going to replace the center no, no, I

mean you can't do that. So the only your choices do you want to put Connor McGovern at left guard? And you've got a bye week now to do it. I mean that's that. That's the only thing. By week time perfectly, and the referees calls some stuff, so I mean you're looking at Connor. But these the last one, yeah, the one some of the stuff that refs called. And you know, hey man, and uh Brad Allen was the chief ref and he was getting tore up onto it.

I went to school, Brad, hey man, listen to what happened. Yeah, I'm gonna say because I'm still going back to the charges game what they call h they call him in the grass, but not going forward, don't say. And even even in that New England game, that J. C. Jackson pass interference was not Come on, man, dude, ain't even he just he just had good coverage, didn't. I mean, it was just I mean it was just hold on, man, what's going on with these repel That's that's my man.

Brand used to live a Jacob's hold with me and he was the main official, right. That's they they get all they all got to punishment. They might not be throwing the flags, but they gotta go out there and say what it is. Yeah, you're gonna get that main punishment. Yeah, yeah, it was. It was. It was some some some stuff called both ways out there. All right, let's take a break when we come back. It was called on this show. It was called on this show. I hate to see it.

I like this time, you know, I get to golf a little bit, you know. I like this speak yeah, yeah, feeling this. I'm already in the building, so I'm good with.

Oh my boy on the news last on the news last night. I see you on that boy. That boy cleans up, he cleans up. Well, man, I got my boy out here. I love to see it. I love to see it. Man. I'm glad you guys tuned in week six. I see if boy do something was ain't really up that late. Ye know the game. It was a good game. I was checking out the I'm not gonna lie. I was you he was late over time.

We are we are anyway. We are literally in the news room when I think with I knew you was sat My boy got up there like nobody care about this and this that's what we're about. This end, end this game. Then Gino turnaba, thank you, Gino know things. Hey, No, Gino came right through for brother like in this kick it out. So we called the Buffalo wild. The three and three now crawled back to file people. People was ready to fire Big Ben tool Man. They was ready

to get ready. They still done, but they ain't got no ain't gonna option. But then right now, I mean, did I tell you said this saying at quarterbacks, Oh yeah, yet an option. But because they've got some weapons around him. Now you got Nasi Harris who's balling. You got got some tight ends. Yeah, he just that guy. Every time I guy a draft day, every time I talk. Okay, look look what we are now. Randy Randy Gregory came out on fire franchise. He's a minimum making the franchise.

I meant at the very eighteen. If I'm him, I'm not taking anything, but I cannot wait to see him and Tank come back, come back. I'm saying because what underrated part of the Tank's game, the Marcus Lawrence is his effectiveness in the run game, right, And that's when we saw yesterday. But we were a little leaky in the run game, right. He whatever, if he's not getting twelve thirteen sacks, you can guarantee that he's showing up

in the run game. And I think when you have him and Randy in there, and you also throw Parsons in there, I think we're gonna be a totally different team against the run in the past. And Neville Gallimore ye, so reinforcements can come for the Cowboys, and that's why he said this football team can't get better. Dallas Cowboys

I got some chills going, man, because all right, tell me where you guys were. What was the reaction around you as Dicks make that tick six. I was over in the studio a couple of doors down. We were doing pre and post games, so we were doing that the whole the whole crew was in there. We were watching that. The game was getting tight, but I don't know what's gonna happen. What's gonna happen? Then that pick

happens in the whole room explodes. I mean, it was only about six of us in there, but the room explode. I can't believe the people shaking each other. I can't. And it was just unbelievable. I mean the way he took it back to I mean, the guys eleape, many leap. It is quite as exciting as yours. Just me and the wife and the daughter watching the game upstairs, the daughters up. The wife sleep at this time because she's been working with the daughter all day, and I just

yell and she gets scared, she jumps. I'm like, oh, relax, I'm not telling you know, okay, I'm just excited, and I start going crazy in my mind because at that point, I'm like, oh, we're gonna find the way, find the way and get this up. And he makes the pick, and I'm super excited, and I'm really excited because my man Barry, at that point he said we weren't going to get any turnovers. That was the second. That was a second, and the streak is alive. It is alive.

That's two. And you said, hey man, we're not gonna always get picks. They found a way off topic to get a turnover in a different way. So so shout out to them. Exciting producer Chris Beam, what about you when you saw the pick wherever you got? Give me your reaction as well. Here this dig picks off fact Jones for pick sex. I don't think he'd be up in there, so you know that's all good, it's all good. Well what were you the next place? Good? And I'll

give you my reaction. You guys are too young for this. It felt like Larry Brown's pick of Neil o'donald's superpower. Was watching it, like I know what was going on, but I was watching. You're just sitting here because it's in the it's hanging in the balance, and he gets it, and you just like, Okay, you're good. You're good despite everything, you're good. And it's over. I'm in the newsroom and everyone's just like, I'm like, okay, it's just done. That's again.

It's a rap. Yeah, it's a rap and just a baby. And the next playing words from Barry Church talked about the double moves and then I thought that, hello, you're gonna get my credit to okay, but you know I want to get the receipts. I said it first, but that's okay. I'm gonna give the receipt get them receipts.

Remember that you and I said that. I believe that Al Harris and the defensive coaches are going to run this stuff in him all week in practice because it's coming every time, even in uh in the in the first player. Don't worry, don't don't too worry. Receipts are coming, Get the receivers. Would you like to make a bet? Ain't gonna be. But I'm gonna tell you that I don't think he said. The two safeties on the players latch on this show both said beware of the double move.

I remembered that night at Clarence Hill's event at Hella Best talking about the double I brought up the double moving and Tad Prescott, Dak's brother, was like he Scott, he wasn't he wasn't concerned about a double move being used on on on Trey Dix and it got you got used not just once, Yeah, let him know if out, Yeah,

don't don't. Don't don't let that fool you that one play because the football is that type of game, right, They try you out at the beginning to see how you're going to react to a certain thing, and if you react the way that they hope that they're hoping you are, you're gonna see it again. So if you if for the listeners, if you paid attention, or you have a chance to go back and look at Hunter

Henry's touchdown, was it on Hooker? On Hooker, if you look to the outside of Hooker, you'll see tray Vun Digg's trailing three yards behind his receiver who ran a double move out and up and he beat tray Vun Diggs on that move. Then you come back and you see what happens on the touchdown play. It's another double move. They saw it. He got an interception. They said, he's feeling real good, he's feeling aggressive. Now we're gonna we're gonna take advantage of of him being over aggressive. And

that's what happened. Now the safety didn't take a horrible Yeah, we gotta talk about this as well, because on both of those touchdowns, Kazy, who's the whole defender. He's done a great job so far this year being that whole guy, and in the middle he did a terrible break his angles on on both of those plays. Were got off or I mean when we talk about the double move

from Hunter Henry up the same one on Hooker. Hooker was actually a good, good outside leverage he made the quarterback put some a little bit of air on it. But if you watch Casey's angle, first, he let a rookie quarterback look him off like you ain't supposed to let that have I mean, he looked that way, and I'm not buying it. You know, rookie, you looked too early in the down. And then he came back, so

he got looked off. And then on his way back, if he took a better angle, he would have had a chance to make that either a bang bang play or get an interception. But if you look at it, Hunter Henry caught it and he was about two or three yards behind Hunter Henry on that one. So that was an extremely bad break because it was right in the same It wasn't like it was, you know, outside the numbers or anything like that. If you're the whole safety,

you're supposed to be able to get there. And then the last play we saw with Diggs on the double move to ken Yan Barne, where was he playing on that one? I mean he I guess he was playing the ball. But if you're playing the ball, you gotta get in front of the receiver on that one. And if you don't think you're gonna have a great enough angle or you don't think you're gonna be able to get to the ball before the receiver, you gotta make that a knockout shot. You gotta go straight for the

for the wide receiver. But once again he was two yards past the ball, pass the receiver. The man caught the ball you've seen in casey fly right past them. Seventy five yards later it's a touchdown for the Patriots. Two things. So both both of those plays reminded me of how it looks at practice right when you know you can't hit the receiver, so you do that fly by kind of the leather was there, right, So so

like I think sometimes that creates bad habits. So I think that he has a bad habit that he needs to get fixed sometimes during the during the bye week two. You're the safety. Literally your job is in the name, all right, You're supposed to be the last line of defense. And even if you don't make the interception or the big hit, you make the tackle. That is your last job. You are supposed to stop him from catching a touchdown,

and you're a position to do that. Good break, he's right there, right right right in the position to at least make the tackle, and he runs over, like you said, two yards behind and allows the receiver to cut inside and then his house called. So I think I think that's something that once again, you'll watch the film and you will look at it, and that's something that you

will work on Tuesday and Wednesday. It's probably today is that they'll be practicing going over stuff that they that they need to get fixed before they come back from the bye week. Um and and hopefully that that's one of those things, because if you look at it, I mean, the angles were one thing. And you know, I know you the Cowboys can you know, you know the guys dropped the ball. They dropped the balls a part of the game. But they got away with a lot of

things out there. That Nelson Aguilar slant late negais by a couple of steps and you're not gonna catch after you got a couple of steps on. That's going forty, that's going that's to the crib. So they got away with that one right there, and then at the end of the game. I think it was a last drive for the Patriots. They had a back shoulder. Now nine times out of ten, I think the quarterback hits that, but for some reason he airmailed it way out of bounce.

We got away with a little bit of face mask. But that's part of the game, you know, you gotta you know his play. They were hand fighting, but a better quarterback gonna hit the algolar on that back shoulder. So there's a couple of things. Like you said earlier, we got to get into the wet get into the film room because our defense shows some vulnerabilities out there.

We had some bad angles at the safety. You know, we're kind of being a little bit too aggressive when it comes to the corners and then those run fits. I'm sure they might get a little bit better once Gallimore gets back and once Tank gets back on the outside. But there's a few little things that we showed, a little chinks in our armor that we got to make sure after this bye week we suited it up, button

it up and get ready to roll. Which is great for McCarthy and dan quinn because you can now tell everybody, Okay, we were five and one, but there are things to work out. Tell us why you didn't call it time out with three second look to tell me that. I just need to know about the clock management, Like were you thinking about going forward on fourth down? Or did you just kind of you know, all right? What we want? We won? We want. I just I just want us

to be better again. There's things that could be worked on during the bye week. You know. No, I'm just saying no, but we keft week after week though, Like you should have fixed this two weeks ago at some stuff up and this should be a part of the diagnosis of the bye week of things to work on the head coach and some of decision making, because those

are things to be worked out. But also if you talk to any Packer fan, they'll say like, oh, yeah, that's this is this is Mike McCarthy named constant stream of people, you know when they weigh in on the Cowboys. If you see their Packer fans, they're just like, yep, yep, know that and know that. So that has been there. I want to make sure I get this number on treyvon dis because this is just crazy. In eighteen career games,

digs his tally ten interceptions. I mean, that's have you ever seen a ball magnet as as good as this. I mean, I've seen some guys in training camp that they're like, man, he got another pick in practice. He got another pick in practice. But to do it in consecutive games like he's doing, I mean, it's immaculate. And it's not like he's getting a lot of tip tipped interceptions or hail merry interceptions. Like this guy is going to get the ball. He's turning into the receiver when

the ball's in the air. The franchise has been around since nineteen sixty, only one person has done it better that's ever ever since had twelve picks in his first eighteen games. I will say this, and this guy has not done what Diggs has done as far as turning the ball over. Being an LSU guy, the way that he's around the ball and able to create those type of plays reminds me of the Honey Badger, Especially when

he was in bat Roofsuisan. It was like, no matter what happens, right, you can always depend on him to be able to change the game. And that doesn't happen with defensive players, right. Usually that's the offensive guy. Home run hitter or receiver, they can take a yard. But now you have a guy on defense who can literally change the game at any point. Right, So you're never out of it because you know that any point this guy can get in there and make that type of play.

And it reminds me of Honey Badger, who who was now in Kansas City still making those types of plays. But Traymund Diggs is in the league his own, especially as far as the past Cowboys players. All right, let's get a time out of here. When we come back, give me an unsung hero, somebody we haven't really talked about who played a key part yesterday's Cowboys winning over time. That's I saw it during the during the game. Saw y'all that a couple of times. Man, you know what they giving you TV? Yeah, yeah, I mean it was a CBS game, so consistently throughout the game they were just showing you the clips of surviving. So you saw danny'all, man, you know what can I say? Black something A team Danny?

Cowboys shot themselves in the foot

too many penalties, but they won the football game. They go into the bye week and out of the bye they'll face Minnesota on NBC SUNDA Football and that game will be up there in Minnesota. Give me a player that we haven't really spoken about that you say, hey, this player played a critical role in this w and bam go Church. I got. I gotta get to my man. Well, Wilson said, My man said, bro and uh he made

some huge place all right. He also he had he was resilient in the way that tray Vun Diggs and Dak Prescott talk about the team is he dropped the pass you know in the end zone that he should have caught, and he came back and he he made probably the play of the game outside of see these Lambs to a game seiling touchdown. I mean the catcher was crazy, right, and uh as Church has been saying, goodness, gracious,

my man Gallop. You know when you when you start to show that you have other guys who could make those plays and then Ceedee Lamb and a Mark Cooper could hold you off for the rest of the game, and you have guys who can step in and do

stuff like that. As Nuian Church said, man, the price tag is gonna really put Michael Gallup off of the team because you have guys who who can step in and it's not this glaring drop off, right, So shout out to him for stepping up with the in the big moment to make that play without and he also, I mean he recovered his own fumble on that punt because that could have been that could have been crucial when my man came and stripped him, but he got

I want to football. I'm sorry. Let me say this said as far on offense, because I was pissed off at him on the owners. I'm not gonna lie. I was. I was upset, but as far as him making his plays on offense, yes, unsung. I gotta gettat two. I have two guys, one as my boy. I give love to my special team boy, Luke Gifford. He went out there, got skinny through the gap, made one of the best blocks I've seen since twenty fifteen, and my boy McCray was out in the touchdown I did. Let's read the

note he post game notes. Luke Gifford blocked the Patriots putt in the second quarter. It was his first career blocked punt and the first time the Cowboys block they punted since Danny McCrae blocked one at Philadelphia in twenty fifteen. The exact date September twenty, twenty fifteen of that blue check, Danny blocking punts, Danny the ultimatal stiber. Danny got a man of many traits and he went for shout out for school did they popped up, popped into my lap.

But I just had to be there watching. We won the game. We won the game. We won the game, But I got give a shout out to the Louke Gifford. Skinny and he laid fully out for that one that was I was textbook, pure textbook on the block. Didn't even hit the punter as he was going through text book play. So I gotta give him some love out there.

And my boy Sholski not only was he on my fantasy and did me justice, but this guy was winning one on ones consistently out there, and he's a chain mover, Like I mean, this guy, no matter if he's playing him zone, playing a man, he finds a way to get open. He's very quarterback friendly, so Dak's always looking for him out there, and he just makes plays consistently. He's made plays and so far he's outplayed Jarwin, who got the big who got the bag? Who got the

big price tag? So that's gonna be interesting towards the offseason. What are we gonna do with that? Is the Jarwin or are we gonna get Shots back? Or Shots already priced itself out by playing so good so far as season. So I'd like to get both of those guys love. On the victory today, they showed out. I know you're gonna give him love, but the discussion was unsung hero, Okay, showed you what a lot of sun. What happened after

we blocked that punt? Nothing, I don't want him nothing, no hero, Okay, And I'm not hating, but I'm scored. But I'm just saying, we scored on my Okay, they scored on that, but he was in he no, no, no on third down. Man, I'm just playing. You know I'm gonna get I'm gonna get the special teams to love man. Listen, it was good. Say it almost mess it up for me, but but you know, we held it together and and thank god we did. My unsung guy is rookie n Sean Wright who recovered fum because

it's a seventeen fourteen Cowboy lead. That ball was dropped at the eleven yard line. Cowboys get the recovery because Jon Right gets it. They go on a nine play eighty one yard drive and kick a field goal to make a twenty fourteen um and then England got the football back and they went down the field scored and made a twenty one twenty and took the lead back. So, um, if if he doesn't, if if that young man doesn't recover the football, we might be talking about let's talk

about this. That was the second time, okay, the first one was real risky. The ball is bouncing his two dudes right in there, and he catches it right in the middle and gets hit, and I'm just like, what are we doing? When he come back to the sideline, he should be getting chewed out and the coach would be letting them know, hey man, hey man, it's not worth it. It's not. It's not it's not because it's not at that point, it's not worthing. Like you said,

the game's close. You know, it's going back and forth. You never know what's gonna happen. You you're a away game. And what we talk about the special teams on Friday, hey man, just don't be the reason. Come in, play the game, play your responsibility and move on. Right and you're talking and we're able to talk positively about said Wilson, because right saved the day because that was going to be that could have been that that nail. Anyway, Cowboys get it done. They get it done, and good good

for them as they headed to the bye week. I'm sorry, but I got it. I'm sorry, we got it. We gotta dress. We won this week. We won this week. Florida Florida. Florida did lose to LSU on homecoming eleven o'clock game, and I think it's saved coach Old's job for the season because because because because have we got blown out, it's a possibility that on Sunday he would have been jobless. But why they do Why are they

telling him now? Like you know what, at the end of the year, it's over for you because it was done after Kentucky get it was already effdence, it was done in negotiated after that. How you how the man gonna go to knowing I'm about to be up out of hand and a couple in a couple of weeks because they're giving you seventeen million dollars seventeen million dollars, What would you do? What we gotta do? Okay, what I'm saying, well, I get rid of the man. Though.

Ain't like he just came out for national Okay, he's up and down. It ain't like he's just gets taking up the place we've been. We've been having some some some disciplinary issues that did. Let me tell you something, I know that we've been having some disciplinary issues. We've the two seasons that he's had since have you know the rebuild and then goodness graces cheute. Listen Twitter, check your Twitter. I sent you the note from the Athletic. I didn't I didn't read that or read that the

Highers High. It's all right there. It's all right there, and that at the heart of athletic and you have no more questions after you read it. But I spoke on the show and I told you, man he was gonna either get got this year or next year. But he was it was it was going that way. But come on, now, hold on. But at the end of the day, Okay, at the end of the day, the man came in. He won a national championship, which we

had not done in twelve years prior he had. As he leaves, he will have coached the best NFL, I mean, the best LSU football team in the history of the program, undefeated, Joe Burrow, best offense you've seen. Uh it, won the college football Playoffs. He can walk out of there with his head plus seventeen million dollars. So shout out to him. But for bringing it back to the bringing it back to the VP. What will happen for a guy like five years down the road, they're gonna look back at

you favorably. Yeah, that's our guy. I think of all the negatives that Mac Brown used to take when he was coaching in Texas. You look at back around, you know, guy won it all. And so for Coacho, as time passers by, they're going to look at him finally and be thankful for what he did. But he's not the guy. And so yeah, they won the football game. He's walking over with seventeen million dollars. Tom Herman will take that phone call and he will coach the time you want

you want, you want to go to text you want? No, he won't. He be in unc penbroke. That's what we're gonna be a did y'all win this week? Yes we want y'all, I say, get it right. Look at that boil his toes. He's on his tones, bouncing by that. But he's ready. He's ready. Man got whole coming, hold up to whole coming, skips over. So the only the only person who's whose program lost in here this week is this program and by Scott you by hotel dot com.

Tomorrow it'll be switched up. You know, we're gonna do a little podcast switched up. So we'll all be on different podcasts. What are we doing them? But yeah, I'm onna what about what hanging with the bulls. I'm gonna hanging with the boys. I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I'm gonna hanging with the boys. Check us out. By the way, Toledo did losing overtime, it was a twenty six twenty so so yet I don't care when they ain't gain getting my pain. I don't care when they lost. Now they lost, Okay, time ago were about four minutes over. Y'all here talking about this this we all ain't talking about the bullet We focus over the town. It's not a show. Yeah, they got somebody coming in here. Man,

a little bit, they would have won. I would have paid solo now one and two in the in the in the in the convergen Hey, man, Max Max the maxing man. Hey, we all pull up for Cincinnati right now. That's that's that's what we're pulling for. Right now. We pull up for Cincinnati. Y'all last in the well last, we last, right now, we last right now. Mannigan Eagles,

We was, we was, you know, whole kind of coming up. Man. Uh So now you guys have Western Michigan next. So they're good too.

Everybody good good. You're gonna make that Bowl this year. Probably not really not with the Sun Drive Bowl whatever they got out there. Bowl were in there, the bowl that got three. You know, if you got three, you got three wins. I got six, six, and we're gonna get there. We're gonna get there. Being out one of the champ Sports Bowl, whatever they had, We're gonna be in there getting the goodie bags. Right, you got five games left, so so you gotta you gotta cut it.
