to try to take you out. And then this ones like Daniel Jones got that you saw last week, where where your legs don't work right and you walk into the wrong side of the field, And those are the scary ones that Qickley continued to get those for like the last three or four years before you retire, So he was going to think the last one he was just on the field crime like it was just like, man,

that's that's a scary sight. Controls all these emotions. I've only had one kind of concussion, now, not as bad as that, but the only one time I had it wasn't Toledo hit a dude out of bounds and like my body locked up, like I'm on the sad just locked up. And then it took me, like man, maybe five seconds and I just broke out of it, and I was like, man, what the heck was that? You know, I didn't get to go back in the game, but I just can't imagine having something severe than that. That's

gotta be a scary sight, man, for sure. You guys know, being former undrafted free agent safeties with the Cowboys, what that is Back in the day when they used to let the media stand on the sideline for the entire game. I was on that sideline at Texas Stadium when Troy when they're scrambling and LaVar Arrington comes and LaVar Arrington hit him, and Troy went down with the last game he ever played. And when he went down, I literally

feared for him because it was that wicked. And until you and unless you've ever been on the sidelines, you just don't under stand how wicked it is. And if you've never met LeVar Arrington. That's a big man. Ain't can run like a bigger micah to be that big, that strong, and he can't. And he I mean he came and Troy's as tough as they get. Troy big dude as well. Let me tell you. So, it's nothing you can do about concussion. You could be as strong, it's tough, you can lift as many weights, you can

do everything you want to. It's nothing you can do to fend off something like that. But if it happens to you, it's like, man, I gotta go train a little bit harder so I don't get concussion. It was just one of those moments for me watching it in person, where when somebody tries to say, you know, I can do that.

but you're still healthy and feeling okay. He's still young relative. And then five six or seven years lady, like, man, my elbows up, So what's it? What is it for you? What is it for you? Oh? My back? I listened. I was I was absolutely fine. I was still working out, running around and literally I bent down to put on my workout gear and my back just locked up. And I'm like, I'm trying to figure it out. What's going on.

I'm going to the doctor and all that stuff. I had to go spend some money on a new sleep number bed. You know, I'm doing a different regiment now, and I'm just like, is this the beginning. I'm thirty three. You ain't laying like that old man. You know what I'm saying. It's still some time to go. But thankfully the pension is there. NFL did set up the hospital network things. So I got my packet in the mill and I will be using that anytime I feel like

a compagne. So uh, you know, I'm just I'm just trying to be prepared for this stay as healthy as possible. And for me, it was it was the Achilles Like for me, you know, while I was playing after my achilles.

I really didn't feel nothing after that. But these couple of years that I've been out of the league, it just stiffens up on me from time to time to where I'm might getting out of bed and it's like, you know, you know how your hamstrings get tight, Well, my achilles and cat gets tight, and I'm like, man, what in the heck it's going on? I gotta do extra stretches. Like before I even run. I used to just be able to hop out of the bed. Let

me just go jog. Now it's like, man, if I do that, who knows what's gonna break on my legs. So I'm like, man, I gotta warm up extra heavy just to get going. But you see a lot of guy, younger guys that you know we're done with the league, and then they just figure out, you know, everything's all good, and I'll get checked up. Make sure you go in, get checked up, use all the benefits, you know those,

don't waste those benefits that the league gives you. Get checked up, make sure your body's in good health, and get get it, get it, get your things done while the NFL is still on the NFL's dime. You know what, I mean, make sure you get all that stuff while it's still on the NFL's dime, because you do, you

don't want to get later on in life. And you're like, man, I backed my knees, my shoulders all jacked up, and you're coming out of your own pockets for that song, young players, make sure you get checked up while the NFL is paying for that thing for you, all right, players Last by hotels dot com. New England? Who's gonna do it? Who did? They haven't you act like Aguilar ain't fast. Now hold on, he might not be the greatest receiver of all time, but he's got it's still fast and will go buy you on a double move. And they sleeping. First of all, mac Jones was a first round draft pick for a reason. Well, you know what I'm saying. We watched him at Alabama. Let's not act like him and the slim was the slim Reaper, right like, they was not that making stuff happen,

all right. So, like I said, when I say that we're gonna beat them ten plus, I'm not saying that mac Jones will come out here and play horrible if we don't go out here and play the way we're supposed to. If Trad Diggs doesn't go out here and realize, hey man, I've been making a lot of plays on short routes. Right, So maybe just maybe somebody gonna watch that film and say, if he ain't ready for the

double move, we're gonna score on him. Right. If he's not ready and prepared for that, and he's sleeping, say hey man, I'm gonna get my eleven, the twelfth and whatever pick. But yeah, he's gonna have a long day because what we're not gonna do is we're not gonna act like if if Mike Glennon didn't put that ball out there for that receiver, that that wasn't gonna be a big gang all right. That was the ball was behind him and you know one of the metcalfs that

wepped out a different way. Yeah, you can get Diggs made ahead of a play, but let's not act like that ball wasn't under thrown. And so you look, I'm hoping it's just Tad Prescott, you know, you know, just yeah, we're just stuff. We're good right now, and not the rest of the team acting like this because you can't sleep on it on a Bill Belichick team and these guys they might not have the greatest receivers of all time, but all it Texas and step to get beating his leg.

And then Tad brought up that, you know, hey, he goes against guys like Cooper who can run double moves in practice, so he'll be ready to roll. I don't know about all that. It just make sure you're ready. That's not the game. Yeah, we talk about practice. It's a game. It's different, man, it's different, and you don't know you're in one on ones, you don't know you're in past period, you don't know your employee experiod. Like

the game is. The game is so different than practice, like it practice helps you get ready, but the game, man, it's it's really unpredictable, like the moments of the game. But whatever the play calling dictates, well down the distance, time, how much we're up and how much we're down. Everything is different than the game because you, like you said, and you get periods, and you know what periods coming up, seven on seven of course that's all passed. Then you

get the one period where it's all strictly runs. Then you get another period where it's play action passed, so you know what's going on. You're gonna be ready for that in the practice period. But just like Daddy just said, in the game, you know, man, what if they're lulling you to sleep with a couple runs? You just like how these dudes ain't none he coming out to just to just block me then take off on you. You

always have to be ready. I hope that Ted Prescott was out there watching practice and it was third and short period and and killing more was like the coaches had this meeting and they said the same thing. We said, hey, man, we need to check and make sure this guy's ready to play these deep balls. And he got nothing but double moves the entire time. Right, it's third and six, double move going deep, third and three, double move going deep,

just to keep him on his soues. And that's the type of stuff that we used to go through with with Jason Garrett when he was here, you know, so we can have some some guys prepare for the situation he's short yardist period, next thing, you know, double move to dead. There's always gotten ready. So fun conversation with Tad and I said, man, you got to come in on players, and he said, if you want to happy, see he's being more to happy. So um to looking

He and his father in a good place because it was tough and they talked about losing losing you know, a son and a brother to suicide. to be a better head coach. Wow, Wow, right now, Jim Howard, Rosman owner Jeffrey Luis, Please tell me what you saw in those interviews that told you Nick Sirianni is going to come out here and be a better offensive coordinator, help a quarterback, and come up with some better game plans than Kellen Moore. How you only rush one time? I could see if it was in the second half, you down, you know, and you gotta throw your way back into the game. But just still the first half and my guy only got one car healthy,

Do you do not understand, like you gotta keep defenses off balance if they know that's all you're gonna do is pass it though, secondary guys and the defensive line, and they're gonna pin their ears back and they're gonna be like, oh, here we go, here we go. They ain't got no rushing and then your defense, your defense is looking out there like here we go with another three an out, you remember that. And they were playing well though, like they gave up

some touchdowns. But there was some points in the game where I think they almost had two picks. They got one one should They were getting some stops out there, and it was like, we ain't moving nothing, and then all of a sudden, they ain't get the trash time and you say, oh, yeah, offense did something. Y'all. Can't do nothing, y'all. If I'm a defender, I'm salty, right, ye ain't one? Thank god, was in the non competitive

phase of the football game. That defense for Philadelphia was on the field for forty minutes last you gotta be sixty. In the first half, they were on the field for twenty one minutes. And I am getting to the point in time and I think, if you're if you're a Cowboy fan, watch and see where does this locker room in Philadelphia end up going? Because it's clear the head

coach is outmatched. It's clear if you listen to the post game, you heard the quarterbacks say we don't have an identity, which I thought and took as the quarterback saying can you help me? Now we're talking about going to the playoff even more so it's like me, so it's next definitely not gonna get any better. While out there banging guys. You know, I'm like shops there on OFFICI line, just going at it in the trenches. So it's a little concerning to me. To me, he concerning. You know who read that and felt real good. He's gonna stay healthy because honestly, the dude is playing great football. Yeah, he's playing and of the highest graded up you know, pff, he's the highest graded You know, I was a lineman out there. You know, you don't see him getting those those holding calls that he started getting when he was injured, not able to play up to one hundred percent. He came back in shape. Looks really good out there. Man, he looks like Tyre Smith saw. I really do pray that that he stays healthy. But

It just helps you. And I talk to those VOCA these are the things that they look at and what they judge you on. Hey, were you a championship player? Did you help your team win a championship?

When you have that, it helps you. And so that's why I just said, looking at guys, right now and with the Dak Prescott obviously the way they protect quarterbacks today, you could play for a long time. Remember we were talk about Drew Brees. I was kind of giving you

those numbers of drewid his first four years. There's no way in the world you really look at the first four years and Drew Brees and think that this is a guy would end up with fifty nine thousand yards of passing at all, five hundred yards, five hundred touchdowns.

I mean, you just didn't think that Dak Prescott is going to have that kind of ability if he stays healthy and continues to play at a high level that I believe if he wins a championship, you can start to put yourself in the kind of conversation to get in the room when when healthy Tyrn Smith, is he the best left left tackle in the league. I say that to that because I'm only thinking that Trip Williams, that is we played against Trent. He seems like he's

gotten better. Missus Washington the whole year. I mean, it's missed the whole year. He's got the All Decade, So that right there lets everybody know, hey, when this guy played for a decade, he played it at one of the highest levels. And so you add a Super Bowl ring to the All Decade, all the different Pro Bowls there, then that's the kind of thing you need for your candidacy. Same thing with with Zach Martin. They're building that kind of resume. And then as a quarterback with the Dak Prescott, you know, if you play for a long time, you win a championship,

you're going to get into the conversation. And then once you're in the room and you get the end of the conversation, who knows what happens. But without it, I take a guy like Ken Anderson. He won an MVP as a quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals. So one of MVP board went to Super Bowl sixteen, lost the game. Can't get in you win that game. It's a whole different type. It's a whole different type of story. So that's that's that's how tough it is. But you know

it's rare. You're did you watch guys and you start to see, hey, they're building that kind of resume. You got two guys who are doing it, and then you got another guy. In terms of a guy like Dak Prescott, you win a championship for the Cowboys, He's gonna put down a whole different level. Like Eli Manny won two Super Bowls with the New York Giants. I always say to people, he had two great he had two great runs.

I don't think he had a great career, but it's going to get him in the room, especially the guy he beat. Right, And once you're in the room and thing can happen. What do you have to do to be in the Hall of Fame at the University of Toledo? Like then you gotta like national champ. But why I ain't no champ? What did you win while you were there? Like what?
