ain't got everything right. It was one day I was walking to press conference into my um little thing pops up fifteen minutes ago. Players Now. I was like, man, I should call it. I was like, no, I'm not there. Just let him do their thing. Get out the way. Now you should call called in. He was at flight Club getting old Yeah. Boy, you love getting them new jays.

We got some new shoes, some jars. Start. I started to text you to the the roscos so before and the after I thought she was gonna do that before and after how it started, how I finished, and then we went to Randy's Doughnuts after the afterlife. So anyway, um not man, goold be back and it was hard. Man. I'm so glad I did not go to DC for that Cowboy game. Nothing. It was in the hotel room. Like I couldn't find it because it was in Los Angeles.

Rams and the charges not remember, you know, I can't get on my I'm like, I pad here because I got the little subscription. I said, no, I just read Twitter. I was like, I'm not gonna do it. I'm not gonna upset myself. Got on live. We clowned on Major Tuddy. Yeah, oh yeah, you got Sam how Yeah, we did a lot of them high I did, clame, he did, he came through. So uh and now they fired oc Scott Turner in Washington. I guess round boy baby, they're gonna meet with Ron Rivera. So we could see a new

coach in the East. So we shall see. We shall see. So Kellen Moore, the Cowboys, uh, Keller the Panthers want to talk to him. We need to talk about like you was going to Clip Kingsbury about it. Yeah, they gone to but you knew that. I don't know about it, you know how, I mean, I guess kle just got paid. I'm thinking okay seven he good? You know what I'm saying. No, Kingsbury like, yeah, yeah, all right. So so Kyler Murray did him under the bus. But the crazy thing is

Kingsbury's agent. It's the same agent Kyler Murray had. Can you imagine the back and forth that m h I hate that may not do the work going back and oh but they still got to pay him through twenty seven though, right, so pay you to go home? And I take that. No, rain was coming in sideways. It was getting rained on. I was getting rained on. It

was cold. And then one of the people who weren't for the college football playerff, my boy Tim Tessalon, who who used to be the side at USC when out out of these says, you want a blanket? Huh? They had blankets for the media, so he gave me a blanket, had the blanket. I watched Georgia do Georgia things. Got the blanket on my last and then he andy Andy I would keep going calling and because I saw any

of the game beforehand. But Max duggan through a second interceptions about to make it thirty something to seven thirty one seven. I'm like, man, I'm not doing this. I went and then my photographer, Noah Bullard said right at halftime, he went out right before halftime. He says, they've got Randy's donuts and Hamburgers. I said, I'll be right down, So before halftime went down, took my blanket, my raincoat, my bean, Eve me sitting up here in the cold in La Man, I'm not gonna this thing is done.

I mean, yeah, it was done. It was done. So watched it downstairs. They because Doctor Pepper's the official sponsor for the college football Playoff, they had every kind of Doctor Pepper I wanted. Was so this morning I went to the got to spin class this morning. But yeah, man, so yeah, no no doubt. So it was it was And it was all raining on the TCU side. So you're raining, he's cold,

and you're getting that wood. They are sitting. They are sitting here put And then when this thing was Somebody's like Kurby, don't have to run up the score like that, like you put the backups in, like the backup quarterback. The tenants have been it is a five star like it was just they just brought in other dudes who was big another. I mean, I hate when they say, I'm like what so when the dudes get in, they

not the guys, the athletes. They get in and they get their chance to go shout at the national championship? Are are they supposed to not try to score? Wouldn't running back get in and he's supposed to run in there and try to get table. I'm gonna get in on this. They took, and they took the starters out of put the under arm of five stars in the most of the coaches can do it the second team. So I didn't think about you. I thought about Danny because one of the most electric events I've been to

I was there the first one that they held the coage football player for Ohio State and Oregon that was over here, Jerry World, and then it should be at this one. They made it even better. All these folks coming out here for the game, and and and to see both sides because she was all red and black on one side and then white and purple on the other side, and people were just it reminded me when I used to go watch the Mike Tyson fights and Oscar Dayla Hoya fight, where you about to see something and that's you know it's been It was Michael Spinks and you know, but but just but I

thought about you. The Coffetti's falling. You've accomplished your goal. Um, what that feeling must be even though a bunch of the you know, the ninety percent of the team did it last year, but still to climb them out and get it done. Um, you know, I thought about it like, man, that's the Scott to be one heck of a cool moment to know that, hey, we are the best you

know in college football. That's pretty cool here. And it was just so much different than the super Bowl last year, even though when I was there and the Rams won it right there, so far college is a different level. You know, the band is playing, it's just you know, and it's the kid everything in there. Man, it's just a different level, even though I mean the Rams, I mean you got Odell over there crying and Stafford finally

gets it. But it was just different feel and you definitely, you know, if you're choosing the two, I understand people to want to go to the super Bowl, but nothing beat the juice in the atmosphere what college football is right there? But I thought about you having won a national championship LSU, did you just say, man, like you know, damn, I mean I wish I could have that kind of feeling in my life once to just say, man, look at this man champions. Yeah, and then it was cool. Dude,

dudes took every sign they could. I may be able to right right, you know, and I'm like, get it, young man, get it, get it. But but too many of them dudes look like somebody's daddy, some big dudes. Bill Belichick's a defensive guy. You can win multiple championships and win championships with dudes who play who are defensive guys. Like here's Tony Dungee with Peyton Manning. And you know what, Pete Manning need he need offensive? They needed somebody stop someone on hey and so and plus they spend all that You spend all this money on your on your offenses, a lot of these, but you can't stop nobody defensively.

But I just said, dan Quinn, it's going to be a guy who can reach across the offensive aisle defensive said and then you guys forget in Atlanta, who did he have? Who did he go out and hire his zoc Kyle Shannon? He put he plucked Kyle away from Cleveland because he's like, ain't dealing with Johnny Manzel anymore and took Matt Ryan, and Matt Ryan had his best season every they almost won a Super Bowl, so I'm like you would be. I said, if you don't want

to hire dan Quinn, fine let him stay right here. Okay, anybody in Dallas would love to have dan Quinn back. But you tried that offensive thing with Nathaniel Hackett. Where'd that get you? And then I said, here's another thing, you guys telling your thoughts on this. He does No. Russ was there in Seattle when they won the Super Bowl. So if there's someone who can maybe check Russ or just saying hey, where's this guy out or what are

you doing, it should be dan Quinn. And for Richard Sherman and Marshawn Lynch and some of the guys who had their issues with Russ, DQ knows it. So he could either be the guy that says to the Broncos folks, you know what, you may want to draft somebody or sign somebody in cases something go the way we wanted to go and need to have leeway. But dan Quinn has knowledge. So to me, if you're the Denver Broncos,

you hire this guy. And if you're Jerry, the next question for you is who do you make your DC and how many assistance can you keep away from dan Quinn. If you're Jerry, you're hoping he don't get hired. You're hoping that he doesn't get hired, or the opportunity that is presented to him as an opportunity that he does not want at that time, because you want to keep him here. I think, like you said, God can find

offensive coordinators, Kenny. I mean, so if you talk about Keller Morgan an interviewed for Carolina again and he possibly gets that job, does dan quinn and Mike McCarthy put their heads together, go find an oc to try to figure something out, try to try to help us out, to figure out how we can get this thing. Roller got one in the building now, Branshaw night, you got Doug nuts mine. I don't think that's an issue. If Keller Moore leaves, you've got God and or hey, Mike

can do it the week go. That's what I want. I want Mike to be calling the place he has he been in the lab at some point in time. You gotta the test gonna be presented to all right, you got you gotta figure out you can pass it or not. But I mean, why not? Why not? I want Michael Carter to be calling the place. I think from what we've seen him in the past, he can get it done. Um, and I don't want this thing to keep falling on the offensive coordinator and off of

Mike McCarthy. Let's say, man, let's see, let's see what you got, bro. You know, this has been an uncomfortable conversation for me, and I haven't liked it, you know, talking about dan Quinn getting out, especially since Nolan. I mean, we've seen the defense at its worse and finally we get this thing turned around and where we are going

to have to let go of our defensive coordinator. But I think you hire a guy like dan Quinn knowing that the possibility of him getting another head coaching position is there because of a all of his accolades, you'd be the same as one of you guys, you know, having your experience that you do that you know this is only a transitionary role. He's proved his point back to back years of being able to get takeaways leading having your defense be top five in a lot of

in the statistical categories that matter. Everybody loves dan Quinn. No, I hadn't heard anybody say I don't like this guy. You know he's a he's a players, He's definitely a players coach and his scheme works. So look, you called it. You said that Denver would come knocking. Uh, Denver has plenty of suitors. Uh. I think. I think my biggest question is as a as a as an organization, are they do they have the mind state to be successful?

They had an opportunity to get dan Quinn before, I know, under previously the ship under previously the ship um and then you hear other names being rumored with it, like Sean Payton, you hear Hardball's name being in there as well. How soon do they want to get this answered as as an organization because they've had to wait. They've been in limbo. They've had a one and done coach. And I don't care what nobody say when you do that to a coach, that's a smear on you as an organization.

Just look around at the other organizations that have one and done coaches and say it's not because the new ownership. Yeah, well, look, I don't make it says we wouldn't hired that guy. But what do you do when you know you bought it, this is what you bought? You saw it. You see it. It's not what you want. And all I can do is listen to what they've talked about in terms of they want, you know how they want culture and leadership, and it's He's all that right what they said they wanted.

It's dan Quinn. But if they if they somehow feel they need somebody offensively who can fix Russ, good luck, because if I'm the ownership, the first thing question I got asked, is he fix a bull? They the last two games they did okay, then you know, I just want to shout out to Justin Alton, who was my high school coach. He is now calling plays for the Denver Broncos, and uh ever, since he's been calling the place, they've been scoring some points. So I want to give

After first game, I'm thinking, Okay, man, it's time to start watching college football. Get ready for draft y after week one. Yeah, man should be sinking

draft September. And with all the injuries that they kept this thing going, I give it an A. I had seen back to back twelve one season. What Jimmy Landry, I mean, so what this guy has done in his last two years. Uh, it's pretty impressive. And while they didn't win the division this year, I give it an A because I had them only nine wins, just thought they would really just kind of be a five hundred team. Most of the year. They were not what you got. So since I game twelve and five, what should I

give them? Whatever you want? Okay, I'm gonna give him a B plus. I'm gonna give him a B plus specifically because of how they ended the season, based off of how we ended our season last year, where we came into the season norm we had to fix certain things in order to give us a real shot at winning the Super Bowl. We needed to run, stop the run, We needed to minimize the penalties. We needed to protect

the ball. Penalties got better. We have not protected the ball and we have not been able to stop the run, and we didn't finish the season being able to do that. So all bit that we did win twelve games and we only lost five then win the division, but we're still fighting for the number one seed. Mine is based on my outlook going into the playoffs. Did our season

prepare us for a deep run into the playoffs? And I don't think it has based off the last five to six games that we played, one the AFC South Invitational and then finishing it off six watched the Commanders and Commander two Major Class the Classics. So I'm still gonna get me a B plus because like you said, we didn't have a quarterback going out Cooper Rush stepping in. Our defense did play lights out during that time to keep us in the running forward that NFC East two

corners lost two corners, but running back. But how do I feel about it now going into the playoffs? Did it prepare us to go into the playoffs? And feel comfortable about it. I think across the board around this room, I don't think anybody is for sure. We'll place a bet on the Cowboys to win if we could. I don't look over here and me like that and then talking about place a bed. Now, I'm sick of you in your shade. Man. You're gonna get your steak now, you know I'm sick of it. I want nothing. I

I definitely wanted Ceedee Lamb to materialize and be the number one receiver that he is.

I didn't think that Amari Cooper was gonna absence was going to be that significant, and I was wrong the first couple of weeks of the season until Ceedee Lamb got gone. Defensively, the biggest question was where are we going to be able to solve the Randy Gregory problem? And Man Armstrong has come through and solved a lot of that. Defensively, we had a lot of questions in the secondary. I still think we're still in the same place. Diggs is the man back there, you know, the other

safety excuse me, the other cornerback. Even with Anthony Brown, those questions still existed, but they seemed to be more pressing right about now. Um safety has been a bad word in this organization, and we finally got that fixed. And I'm okay with Donovan Wilson. Wasn't okay with Donovan Wilson to start the season because he's always been a bubble guy. But one hundred and one tackles leading the team. I mean, I'm good with that, right. Uh, the emergence

of the run Bland. There's been a lot of positive things that have happened in this season. No one's gonna mention that the five losses, four of them were two all playoff teams and obviously Aaron Rodgers. But that's the way this the way it went in twelve and five back to back is big for Mike McCarthy and he's still on the hot seat. He said, wait, how many How many was them to playoff teams? Three? Oh? Yeah, Covince, we lost to the Washington Commanders champions to make bad six.

You got that three of them and one was Major Tuddy in them? Oh, Tym Smithson to have to step in at left tackle, that's one of things I mentioned. I didn't spend any time at camp. They had to throw him out here for Game one left tackle. And they have proven themselves right because remember people criticize about draft day about it, and he's the guy who's gonna

be here for a long time. Yeah, if we're giving outgrades, I'm not have to give him a B. I might have to give him to be overall, you would think they would earn the A just all the injuries they had gone through. Like you guys mentioned, you lose quarterback one for five weeks, and your quarterback two goes four and one, and you got injuries in the back end. Quarterback number two and three both go down. You play

rookies out there and some guys off the street. So just off of the strength of the injuries, you would think they would earn an A. But when they got QB one back, when they got Dak back in the saddle, and overall offensively, they were healthy for the most part, right, can we say that they was healthy for the most part? At least they made They messed a couple of pieces on the offensive line, but overall, I think they were,

you know, a talented unit. And when you go out there and the majority of those games on the back half of the season, they were the more talented team. They were the better team going into a lot of those games, and for some reason, they played down to that, you know, level of their opponent. I mean, you look at it. We all talked about it the AFC Classic.

You know, they played down to those teams right there, and then the games that they should have won the games, should have you know, stepped on the opponent's throat, got the starters out. By halftime, We're sitting there for a quarter like, man, this is a nail biter. Man, well, I don't know how they're gonna pull it out so and not to me, it has a lot to do with coaching, because it's the coach's job to make sure the mindset of the team out there when they go

it is one hundred miles an hour. Like they get on the field, they are ready to roll. There's no if ends or butts about it. But you've constantly seen this this far this year, especially on the second half. Those guys came out we call it sleepwalking and then you know eventually the MAC talking about baby, that's just who they are. That team. To me, it is way too talented not to be out there dominating, you know, other teams that they're supposed to beat. So I got

to put that on the coaching staff. But overall, I'm gonna give him a beat. I gave him, Ay, yeah, big plus gave him a beat. So definitely passing yesterday. Yesterday, man, I got an opportunity to host media match. It was fun. I got to play it my day playing neui, you know what I mean? So I did the other other show. It was great. You know, I love the I love the swing in opinion from two shows to the next. Everyone has a large spoonful of skeptical about this team.

It and it has everything to do with what you just said, playing down two opponents even though they got the win. And you can go all around the league and and even talking to you guys about wins in the NFL, y'all know how hard it is to get these wins. You take them, how you get them? But they're twelve and five, seems to be different than everybody else's record. And to me, how do you get you?

Only Monday is coming, you know, So how do you get to a fan base, a team, or anything to the level of saying, all right, we can go into Tampa and actually win this game based off of all those ifs, based off of all those playing down moments that you have on this team. So wait, so we

still think they're playing down to their competition. We just we just said that was playing no, no, no, he said, I'm saying, do we all still think that they're playing down to their competition or do we think that that's the level of team that we have at the moment. When you say playing down in your competition, what do you mean? Like, what are you Okay? We beat Cincinnati,

all right, we beat Minnesota. Other than that were the majority of our game's close games last last six games of the season where they where we were kind of on a on offensive like are we gonna win this? I think the Houston I think the Houston game may be the one that everyone's talking about. I mean, I mean Tennessee, Yeah, I mean Washington. I mean playing down to your competition. You lost one of them. Jacksonville you lost that one as well. Isn't you like, how good

is the team? Like? Are we that team that is just gonna scratch and claw and win? Which that's that's what it shows a rhetorical question. I'm not bad, ye know what I'm saying. No, No, that's lost him saying saying, I'm just saying I believe that I don't believe that we're playing down to our competition. I believe that is the two team that we have. We always say, run the ball, play defense, that'll keep you in the tight game.

And as long as you give your defense a chance to make the play and not let it be a blowout. By getting away from the running game and start in the past, you'll be okay. So I didn't go into the season expecting us to blow people out. I think Minnesota got people tripping and thinking that that's that, like this team can be that every time. But we saw Minnesota is that type of team to where they can go out there and beat somebody by forty, then they can go get ran through by forty no matter who
