Summer all right down to TV. They made Thanksgiving looks so great. Rest in peace, both of those gentlemen here. Grew up on those guys. Man, there's nothing like Thanksgiving Day Cowboy football. That was. Man. If it's one thing that I miss, it's my mama's cooking. And you know three back then was up in the East coast of four o'clock. You know it's coming on. You know, watch

the Lions game. You just kind of get warmed up, but then boom, you get settled on in man, hit the main shows, the Cowboys and and and Man, it's crazy to think about how you can grow up watching something and then being able to get paid to go cover it. It's amazing, man, God is good man, that's crazy. I mean, I Texas check man. I want to go one time and I remember my dad we had to go pick up my great grandmother. We were living at ford Hood and we had to go pick up the

DFW airport. We drove past Texas State. That's when it was a irving. Right. Yeah, look at this and so uh tomorrow, Man, I'm very I'm just I'm just thrilled at them. Here it is. Man, one more time, did the Cowboys get to play and we get to you know, this is what we could do. We get to talk about here for forty five minutes. He Ma Harrison Barry Church for a Dallas Cowboys safety. He's played in this game. Cowboys Giant Dallas is a ten point ten ten ten

point favorite. And heck man, the injuries here, Yeah for the Giants. Okay, starting center John Feliciano's out, starting right guards out, the left guards on injured reserve, the backup left guard in the back in the in the third string left guard are not coming to town. Wide receiver one Dale Robins, we talked about him this week. He's out, Sterling Shepherd, he's not playing, he's out. Uh, it's Avery McKinneys out, Dory Jackson's out. Dallas is a ten point favorite.

I want them. My Grandmama's been gone for two years and Thanksgiving hasn't been the same for me for two years. But I'm telling you, Cowboy Nation,

everybody this out there, you're missing somebody, man. Hey, for me to you, I understand it ain't number love, man, And hopefully this game can give you some uh, what the semblance of joy and happiness? Man? Because I'm telling you it's a lot of pressure on my cousins and my auntie's to recreate that dressing. Roy. It's a lot of it's a lot of pressure high because her favorite dishes, they had a rest of it tastes. How come to boil eggs on the mash potatoes to wait, I'm trying

to come on. Why do I have to tell you it's too much giblet in the grave? The ratio was off, man. You know you black folk were gonna let you know and listen. It's crucial. It is crucial. But man, you know, just for everybody. Man like I just want to make sure you just when you said that, it just took me back to my grandfather sitting another TV out and that's before you had the due screen. We had the big back, the big big wooden money you put the other TV on top. No, exactly exactly we had we

had the color TV that was like furniture. It was so big and had play You could play a radio, seriously, had a radio in it. Man. It was like a come on, make play albums. I think it was crazy. Anyway, Magnox, you know that brand, Magnivox. It took like fifteen people to carry that thing. You didn't have a about three feet from the wall to the TV, because I mean,

come on, he was deep. This was a whole consult called it a console y console getting down in Curtis taking you back, But was way before the city, Curtis Smiths, Yes, exactly, you haven't heard of it. But see, yes, I was in the building an NFL network just you know, they all games the show. I got to show the Cowboys, the vikings. This is the bank show. That was the Randy Show. It wasn't three three three. He went awesome.

But then Michael Irvin had a man. He had a great game, like one hundred and fifty some yards I believe that game and they still ended up losing. Was that pup Smith? Though? Yeah? Who was that d because I seen him on a lot of Hot House highlights. It looks like look like running the cement rights. But listen, that's Randy moms too. That's fresh Randy. That's fresh off the boat. Randy. Well back to when you talk the injuries that they have it still, man, no excuse, none, none.

They're gonna sit here and be like, you know, because last time we would against the Packers, their offensive line was hurting as well, and I thought, oh, it's gonna be a field day. It's gonna be over by time we're getting after they. But I'm not making that same mistake twice. I'm not gonna do It's not gonna trust because not gonna do it newly. But but at the same time, Church, if you're in this locker room is no player and you see this and you now know

what happened in Green Bank, what is the message? Don't overlook them, man? And and that's what McCarthy's been doing a great job of so far this season. I mean, I feel like each and every game they come to play, they're ready for it. They're not they're not taking off guard. They're not like, oh man, it's a slow start. They kind of overlooked this team. McCarthy's done a great job of making sure this team is hyped and ready to go.

So the main message in that locker room, because they see the injury report, they say, who's not gonna be there? They see the tackles offensive line, and of course there's d line that front seven. They're probably looking their chops man, we're gonna feast. I understand that half confidence going in there, but don't be overconfident, because once again, this is a division game. They know your strengths and weaknesses just like you know there. So trust me, day Ball is a

good coach. He's gonna draw some things up. That first fifteam plays that script they have out there, it's gonna be elaborate. They might gain some yards whether the storm and go out there and dominate. But don't be over confident against the team that's on the ropes right now now. And not only that, you recognize how young this team is, and with the youth that you have on this team, you have to constantly remind those guys that, look, man, you can't overlook them. And that's the part that I

think that you rely heavily on your veteran leadership. If you have guys like you on that squad, gonna remind these guys that we ask you yesterday, you know, how do you take how do you recover from playing Sunday and then having to come back Thursday. There's another there's another aspect of to that where you're telling these guys that, look, don't pay attention to the rat poisons everything that's going on around us, everybody telling us how great we are,

how big we are. We just went from not being in the playoffs and now we're in a super Bowl. You know what I'm saying, all of those things I thought. I thought Mike McCarthy did a very nice job of handling that question because he's like, uh, I spoke to general manager Jerry Jones, and he understands, but we have to do this week now, the owner and the owners ever there. So Mike McCarthy's figured that out. But hack Man,

you have to make forty to three stand up. You have to and the way you make that win against Minnesota stand up once you handle your business and handle it quickly. Okay, handle it quickly here in the first half, and get yourself on this ten day break. Yes, rest, get ready for December, get ready for an opportunity to do something where certain folks around the league think you

are a really good football team. I was checking the power rankings out take the power rankings, NBC Pro Football Talk, Cowboys number three, Pro Football folks, your favorite Berry number five, uh, ESPN number five, thirty, Third Team dot Com got them number eight. So everyone believes, you know pretty much average

that this is that we average these things out. They think they're a top five football team, and you can't be a tip top five football team favored by ten points at home, where you've got a team that has to fly their Wednesday, they got to fly down here to come see you and lose this game. You need to go out here and handle the business. Get these teams as much as you handled Minnesota, handle these dudes even more so. Leave no doubt after this game, and

get yourself on a ten day break. That's my piece. It wasn't all good just a week ago. It wasn't you know. And it's amazing how PFF and all of these different publications come out a week later where our rankings we were out of the top ten. We was nobody's favorite. Now all of a sudden, you man ain't big head the taxi. Oh you see how you see how that how quickly that happened. But met I agree with you, Nui. I think that the consistency that you are asking for from this team comes by way of

the performance that they had against Minnesota. You backdoor this by coming in and you dominating this week. But let's not act like New York doesn't have a puncher's chance. Let's not do that because this is a team that is also Brian Dabo has these guys playing some ball and they've gotten behind. What has they've They've made important what they needed to and that's say Kuon Barkley, we got to stop the run. There's another week another challenge that says we have to we have to armor up

and stop the run, just like Detroit did. That's exactly that was their key to success last week versus the Giants stopping the run. And I think that's that's pretty much that's all they got right now, Like like you're talking about, I mean, they got some weapons on the outside. You know, you got Slayton, but the main guy, Robinson on the outside, he's injured. The offensive line has hurt. It comes down to say Quon Barkley and Daniel Joe and let's not sleep on Daniel Jones when it comes

to running the football. Because this guy, he heard us a little bit last time we went to went agains him. I think he had a couple of ushers eighty yards trade. So he kept them in the ball game. And let's not mistaken you know, it took, you know, a last minute drive from Cooper Rush to get the dub up there. Now I understand, I believe you know, the Cowboys offense is a lot better with Dak Prescott behind the helm. But this New York Giants football team, there's not no scout.

You know. Defensively they can play solid ball. There's not a real standout out there. They play as a unit. So to me, what they're gonna try to do the Cowboys, They're gonna try to stop our run, which is hard and easier said than done. They're gonna try to step that box up and make Dak Prescott make the throws,

which I believe he can do. And let me tell you this, if they're gonna come out with the with the Vikings coach of game playing, let us know for we get that, man, I'm not gonna turn Yeah, just just wink and say, look, man, we want to get on back on this plane and go home as quick as possible, because it's you know, it's it's certain like gentlemen agreement is Hey, if I take my starting five out, I ain't playing. No more, I take my quarterback out,

Commanders are obviously looking better. They rolled a little bit so playing better defense. Absolutely. So. So Brian Day Boss teams are not going to just lay down. He will he will have you know, he'll have them ready to play. But you have more talent,

you do. I spoke to I spoke to Luke Gifford uh this week about the potential for special teams on a short week, you have an edge. And that's why I was also asking about t could this be that kind of weak? I can see it. You know, guys are a little tired, and you know from playing hey Man Thursday, about the time you finally start to get your body back so you're not having to play on

the day. We finally get that maybe somebody doesn't get a right lane, maybe somebody doesn't get their block, that Turpin has an opportunity to go ahead, run one back, and that's going to be such a huge momentum shift. It's a momentum shift in any football game, especially on a Thursday. I believe this is where special teams can can can make a difference. No, he's just inching closer and closer to breaking one. We're talking for Cavnte Turpin.

But I've really been impressed with Coach Fossils group period. I think the special teams has been great and not. We hadn't had had any watermelon kicks. We hadn't had anything crazy happened. T let's fake it. Yeah, let's you know think about that. Now, there was a time whether the special teams was like it was an issue. They were losing that face every game that first year, every everything.

This is why, like this season in particular, there are certain that these these got the coverage teams are are handling their business. Every everybody looks and especially with Brett Maher and anger still being the weapon that we know that that he is. But I think Vante Turpin man, he's he's got to see that. He's getting closer and closer, and I don't understand, like why teams keep kicking it

to him. If if you're looking at the film, it should tell you indicate, look, man number nine, it's gonna take one to the house. Don't let it be against us. But maybe he's gonna have to make some guys some believer it's the league. I mean, they kicked the court the old Patterson last week. Oh man, what again? I don't know he can still roll like that? Why rolling on it? He's got the record whereas loud then you saw you saw the Jets. Hey, we're gonna put it

right down the middle. It's called high treason. When you put it down the middle of that's called high treats. Seconds to go kick it out of bounds? What are you doing? I mean that when I don't get it all five seconds off, we go and kick it straight. It's kicking as high as you can. Just kick heck, now many of the three phases, and we could put these guys to bed. And you talk about something that that could be a momentum, uh, that we could take

some momentum and just kill these guys. If you have guys like Convnta Turpin having the game of their life on Thanksgiving, and that's that's what I'm anticipating. That's what we need defensively with the guys that you saw out that Chris just sent through. You know, I just feel like Ben, we have to armor up up front anyway, and so thankfully we have enough of a roster where we can. Guy's just going, hey man, it's not going to be the end and out flexibility that we've had

the defensive line position. Guy's gonna be in there a little bit longer. So back up, let's go. Good thing we got waves. I think we got them waves in them d line. When you talk about special teams, I could see something happening because if you think about a regular week, you know, special teams, you're able to go through your practice full padded. You're going over there, you're going through the emotions of what has to happen out there, and that's the only time these special teams guys get

to go through their thing full speed. But this short week out there you're blocking on air. You're not you're not really you know, you're not in pads. You're not going through full speed like that. So this could be the week where, you know, pump blocks, things of that nature can happen because tonight they haven't done it all weeks full speed. They haven't been in those full pads and got the blocking lanes like they should. So this could be a week come on to determined by bust one.

Maybe Louke Gifford bust through there and blocks a punt. Something game changing can happen. And Fossil's crew they've done a heck of a job so far this season of holding up their end for this team. Short week, you know, details can get sloppy, Yeah, and so that's that's to me. When I think about where special teams can really pull ahead here, it's on one of the return units. You got Brett Maher playing at a high level here. So from an offensive standpoint, man, just just get this ball

to the forty automatic points. Letty, you're gonna be kicking indoors here. So there's a lot of positives that I see what the Cowboys can do. But I agree with you both is it has to be a lesson learned from Green Bay that continues to pay off. It can't just be we did it against Minnesota.
