They were in two man, which means all of the dbs and the linebackers are playing trail technique, which is behind the receiver that they're covering, trying to stop them from running any comeback routes curl routes or inside routes, and the two safeties are over the top. Help so anything that goes over their head, the safety is supposed to be able to make the play on it. We had a safety. I believe it was Kazy who was supposed to be able to top

of that plane. He did not help Anthony Brown. Albeit Anthony Brown shouldn't have been that far behind, but he was supposed to have some help. So Anthony Brown, I Danny mccraie apologized to you for saying that you got beat in man to man one on one coverage because you did not. Man, I thought I was gonna miss this section hoping, but yeah, man mcraid basically just put it all right right there for us. I mean we

after the show, we kind of thought about it. Now, let me let me take the look at the all twenty two, which means we're seeing from the sky view of the whole play. And as you've seen, they were in twenty two man or two man and Anthony Brown should have had help over the top. You gotta know your personnel. O Casey's gonna gamble, but he did supposed to have help over top, and so I Barry Church was completely wrong for dog and my boy Anthony Brown

out like that. He should have had help over the top, and uh yeah, I was completely wrong about that one. So I understand dan Quinn when he says there would be no personnel changes, because that was one of the main reasons when I would say the man might might be in trouble this season. But he played the coverage I was supposed to be played. He just didn't get the help that he that he needed and hopefully this

this game he gets that help. In that situation though there, how would you react if he was to Ques He was ab right there and you knew you was supposed to have safety help over top. You've seen what happened. You know he got He looked like he got burnt crazy on national television. How would you feel in the as a corner in that situation. Listen, listen, let's go here. I would be upset. I would probably be pointing making sure I see that it wasn't That's what I would

be doing. But I would say that you're supposed to be over the top. You see it all the time around. But but no for listening. But listen, I'll respect to Anthony Brown because he did not come out and say a word, didn't about that blown that blown assignment by the safety, So shout out to him. I love to be his teammate. So um, Terrence Steele, who I'm just gonna go back to camp and what I saw what you see inuis I saw an improved player off approved from player as I saw as I looked at two as I looked at several second year players on the team, Sean mccun um, CD Lamb rookies who with the benefit of training camp OTAs um improved upon what we saw from all of them last year. Can he handle his own seed in the See Lamb was good last year, he looked better. He got one percent

better as my boy delatoral m Nielson. So they all got better. So based on what you saw from Terence Steele last year and at camp in the second I thought he got better there. That's almost want Do you want to go into what happened? Oh go brut Oh you can. I didn't see I wasn't at camp unfortunately, so I didn't get to see much. And then I,

you know, I did see him play. Obviously last season he started in what fourteen games, and obviously we were all in agreeance yesterday that it should be Zach Martin. But I was listening to, Uh, no, we weren't all in agreement. Oh you you yes, you did say that. You did say it wasn't gonna be him, correct, correct, um. But I was listening to you know, one of the greatest um guys on an offensive line of all time,

Nate Newton, yesterday, and he also said Zach. But he said if not Zach, then he did want to go with Still, because he said that he was a dog, he was hungry, and he was a young guy that was going to be willing to do what he needs to do to be in that position. And you know, we have to give him a little grace from last year. He was kind of thrown into a situation that he didn't even know he was going to be thrown into.

I think he at least handled himself decently like an come to the point, yes, start with Still tomorrow or not tomorrow. Sunday start was still on Sunday, and then if you have to, like they did in a couple of games last year, switch it up mid game, throw Zack in that position, because that's something that can happen. But I do kind of feel like, in just how Jerry might have sounded on One five the Fan this morning,

I feel like maybe he's kind of Overcollins. He just seemed like, nope, he suspended, he knows, blah blah blah, And so the NFL to me is a what have you done for me lately? League? So I think that maybe he put a young guy in there. If this is something that could possibly be a permanent situation for the Cowboys this season, we need to maybe just get him in, getting some reps, in getting that confidence up, in figuring out So, yes, I wanted Zach. If not Zach,

like Nate said, Terrence was the best guy out. Well, let me tell you this, Jerry Jones ain't done with LC. All right, they paid him and and somebo he's able to get on the field, because what we've seen is when he's available, he's a really good right tackle. All right, But listen, let me because I want to get on still. Okay, I'm gonna get on steal because I'm gonna read this.

The short paragraph for that sums up still season last year, all right, So he did he was he got picked up as an undrafted free agent here, signed here in April, all right, so he had some some expectation that he may be playing. All right. So season opening against the Los Angeles Rams, he's able to hold his own until he gave up a sack, uh you know, in that contest. The third game against the Seahawks, he was replacing the

third quarter by Zach Martin. In the fourth game against the Browns, he gave up a sack that caused the fumble or proves it proved to be the game change to play in that loss. He was benched in the ten game against men Consota, with Martin taking over at right tackle, and the eleven game against Washington, both Martin and Irvin went down and that made him get back in the game. All right. They do finish by saying he improved a little bit from there. That's a rough,

rough go at it. Are you worried? Are you worried as all as you are you worried? What do you think Joey Bose is doing right now? He's looking at chops right now. But I'm telling there's two things that can happen in this game. Two things. Either the worst situation where we haven't evolved as an offense and as a team, and we're just gonna feel like Terren still can go out there on an island and hold his own out there, like we saw a couple of years

ago with who I forget who was that? Who was that tackle we had here a couple of years Yeah, that Clayborne went off. We left him Chad out there on the island. So we haven't evolved since then, then we're in trouble. But I tend to think, you know, Kellen Moore maybe evolved as a coordinator and maybe got a little bit smarter and realize this, Look, I got Tern still out there. I need to help this do. Look Tyrence or Terrence Tyron Smith makes a lot of

money as that left left tackle. He's a premier left tackle in this league. I say, you know what, this is your chance to just you know, you gotta hold your own. You gotta be by yourself out there at the left tackle situation. Hold it down for us. We pay you a lot of money. You're supposed to be a Hall of Fame tackle hold that down. We gotta slide everything towards Terrence too. It may be predictable and the charges may be able to key up on it

and trying to send blitzers on the backside. Whatever the case may be. But we need to help that guy out, whether it's chipping with a tight end, running back slide the protection. We gotta go out that way. We gotta leave time by yourself on the back side. He's a grown man. He should be able to handle that. Because your boy Zeke blocking again. Absolutely he will be so. So going back to what Jerry said, I don't want to fire three the fan. He reiterated, he'll get plenty

of help there. It is so so Jerry said it right there. He you know, I mean, I guess Mike mccarthy'll tell us something too, But Jerry can't about to say, what is the owner of the team breaking news? Look, man, this is this. I remember poor Way Phillips. You know, Way would try to act like he was holding something back and be like Jerry already told us that. Okay,

whatever Jerry said. So so, Jerry says, there's going plenty of help and which we know that's that's what has to be the case because we've seen it fail so many times when they haven't given I mean, look my problem going back to that Atlanta game, but Chaz Green was getting beat, they decided to just bench him and put in Byron Bell, and Byron Bell got beat two. There was no help. And exactly there's no help. I mean, Byron Bell was a backup for a reason. But you

donna think we hold the backup is gonna go do bet? No, No, at the end of the day, stop trying to send four people in a route. If you send three in a route and you send some help here, then Dak's gonna at least have an opportunity at least give your quarterback a chance. And if it's a route where it's just Ceedee Lamb and Amari Cooper, you know what, Hey, beat somebody, you know, go out here and make a play,

You're gonna have to. You're just gonna have to ask your guys to be a little bit better to at least protect Dak Prescott so he's got an opportunity to run the ball. Is this a game? Is this a game for Zeke thea to go ahead? And to eat this game. I mean there are they aren't susceptible to the run. They run a three three five, three down linebacker, three down, the three linebacker and five dB, so they're

open against They're open against the run game. So the I feel like ze can eat this game of work. I mean I said that yesterday. I thought it was going to be a little bit more even yesterday, even just with Gallup being out. I won't speak on it because Zeke is no longer on my fantasy team, so I'm not concerned. But do you think you can eat though against this against this could have ate against Tampa. We watched those runs yesterday. We went upstairs and we

watched his first five runs. I believe they were all positive. They were all positive. So I think I think he can eat against them. Against Tampa. I think he could eat against the Charger. But I think that's up to Kelly Moore And would that be the smarter gameplay run instead of, you know, launching up fifty. Smarter gameplay to me is always to establish the run because you need it at the end of the game, and you establish

it at the beginning. You wear down those defense alignment by letting our office alignment leaning on them, especially when you have a guy like Steele who can get more comfortable by leaning on the boss versus sitting back into trying to block this guy. And we already know he's a serious threat. So Washington had one hundred and twenty seven yards of rushing as a team against the Chargers

last week. That game was in Maryland. Gibson twenty carries ninety yards had long of twenty seven, so they were pretty consistent with trying to make sure they got the football. Patterson had two carres, Jadie mckissic had to carry um not really counting the ones from Heineke and Fitzpatrick who could buy it for four. But they decided to try and run the football, so they had twenty three rushes

in the football game. They tried to make an effort there. Um, I agree with you that you do at some point in time. I mean, this is this is a week to try and run the football. But you know you're not gonna drop back here against the Chargers with with your tackle situation and m and trying and you know, just chunking down the field. But man, I just I'm sitting here just throwing up my hands because this man has got you know, everything he told us, everything he said.

Now obviously all of his fears are sitting here. Comes to it. Week two no less, I mean this week too early. It's still but you know, yeah, but but it's one of those things where okay, now you did you see the tweet I put out there earlier? I sent you how his guy good? Yeah he looks later

working on that. He's been doing the hundred catches before and after game or after practice and stuff, and he said blocking is definitely something that he needs to catches. and get this. So if he needed some time to get going, if he wasn't one hundred percent, then why didn't you sit this dude down for a week and say, hey, we all know why. Okay, well let me tell you what. And you all know this. In this league, man, you're these games come down to three points or less. You can't sit around here in a four to hope some hope is not a damn strategy. And they went out there and hope and then it didn't work and it cost And what do we looked at about this football

team the last three four years here? It's come down to a game. Ye, at the end, it has come to it has come down to a game. And so here you are with the world champions on the ropes and you can look at the fact that he left four points on the field and yeah, I'm sorry, I just it's been a frustrating thing for me because I've seen way too much of it since covering this football team, way too much of these kickers and these punters and Jerry's kindness towards them to want to work with their issues.

I missed Bill Parcels and Jimmy Johnson, who ran these dudes out of here real quick. They had no time for you to figure it out as a kicker because there's too many people available. It's not how ain't gonna kill your salary cap, my guy. If you were not able to go, then you know it. Get right, and when you're ready to get right, will activate you. But those four points where we saw what it was in the football game. You can't have your kickers and punters

out here shanking then you need them. You keep losing the special team's phase in this game. Because I listen, I watched the game last night. I know who have a hell of a kicker. Now they mess it up at the end when they know that wasn't him. I'm just saying that thing when they're trying to get

They're just talking the whole game. It's like just sitting there and you're watching them, and they bring guests in. They had Travis Kelsey, Russell Wilson, Okay, and they do the whole broadcast and they're just chilling on the couch, like talking through the game.

And it was the best thing I've ever seen. I'm watching it yeah, I know, supposed to be supposed to let us talk about the game the way I want to talk about raising Charles Barkley and Eli says that Charles got a better golf game than than his brother. I mean, if you wanted sid, if you want to side kind of entertainer, that's that's what you watch. I tried to watch a little bit of it. My wife's a writer fan, and that thing went click click right on back to the fans. I don't have time for that.

I'm here for the football. And I think it's very smart by these networks to now give people options options. Yeah, that's true.
