What happened the last time Joe Burrow touched the field. I'm saying, I'm with you, I'm with you, but it's all people are prisoners at the moment. And at that time they threw five touchdown passes on primetime TV. That's the last thing they saw. They gonna be all they eat it up. It's like a college football ranking. SEC teams just getting
put higher because of the reputations reputation. But you saw a game last night. They blew out the other two teams that was in the college football playoffs, and then and then they and then they played to the end of the game. The game was much closer than than the score said. The pick six at the end kind of opened it up. But no other team that was in the college football playoff was on the level of the two teams that played last night, and they both
just so happened. SEC West, SEC East. So we're gonna they don't put them up there because they put them up there because they know that the schools are better. There are better programs in SEC than they are. Another program and another conversation, I don't think anybody has issue at least I don't have Nobody had issues with an Alabama and Georgia who are ranked high all your law. It's the other dudes who get ranked up in there that that you know, through reputation sexist and the old
misses of the world. You know, next thing you know, they get ranked up high and Baylor going that st right, But nobody said Baylor was a bad school. And Baylor also got their coach from where sec David from California. He's another guy who was on that twenty nineteen LSU championship team who was now a head coach at Baylor and out there making noise. So I mean talking about Joe Burrow and put everybody on. He didn't put Joe Brady. Then put my man over here on. Joe Borrow got
a cake. Ain't gonna go ahead and put up put a statue with Joe Burrow outside Tiger Stadium with a cake and all the people that he carried along the way there. So, by the way, I am looking forward to the matchup Dak Prescott Okay as the quarterback against Fred Warner, who's there outstanding linebacker and very good in Colorage. Bill General, he's a field general here, mads me a
lot of Slee. There's a you know, there's a guy who you know, unfortunately wasn't a part of that Super Bowl winning team for the forty nineties, but had them in the position of the fourth quarter they have ten point Fred board Hick right, Fred Warner could play and we haven't talked about him a whole lot here. And because you know it's West Coast team and we're concerning
the Cowboys, that's just one matchups. I was going through us like, you know what, man, if this guy, you know, catches his groove going, he can be a problem for the Cowboys Sunday and a teen st Yeah, because he's one of those linebackers that you want to go up there and switch up in audible plays. He's gonna be able to match you with you. Okay, you wanted to switch up this from Okay, this is what we're gonna do.
Blist this guy over here. He's one of those students of the game that, like I said, he reminds me of Shanley, just extremely more athletic than shan Lee. But he's a student of the game and he breaks things down. He gets those guys you can see it on tape. He gets them lined up in the right direction whatever it's. The second he does, the secondary does, the D line, he does, everybody gets him in the right spot. So
he's he's a heck of a player as well. So they ain't like he's just a you know, a smart guy out there putting everybody else. He's smart as well as athletic and can get things done. So you're right now, it's gonna be a hell of a matchup between a DAK and the field general for the San Francisco defense. I mean, look, let me tell yourself, Fred weren't a great, great player. DAK gonna get out here called audibles and stuff, But what do we really expect our offense to do?
I guess the defense we expect them to go out there and play one of those games when we put up fifty play Is that what you expect when when you walk out there, do you say this is what our offense is gonna do to San Francisco. I don't expect them to go out there and do what they did against Philly. But if I'm they got at least put up twenty eight points, they gotta put up twenty eight points in this game to get a victory, like because I think our defense, I think we can hold
San Francisco to under twenty four points. But that's gonna be tough, man, because if you, if you, if we go out there and let's just say, Jimmy G's on one of his days, he's out there, he's on five because he has the capability. He's a rolling coaster quarterback. He's up and down. But we've seen he has those capabilities like that last game versus LA, where if he's
on fire, he can heat up quick. And I don't want to, you know, if our offense ain't if it's backing them struggling days, I don't want, you know, this to be one of them. Oh Jimmy G's just going off and now our offense is struggling. Now our defense has to get four or five takeaways, because I don't think that's gonna happen. Come on us. My expectation for this game is if for the defense to keep us
in the game. No, man, if we're winning, I expect us to get some stops and make sure that we're holding the field goal so they're not able to take the lead. And if we're losing, I expect our defense to be able to get that turnover, put us in the right position to be able to get some points of offense. I do not based off what I have seen.
I am not as confident in saying that if we're playing a team with a good defense, a defense that has been playing better up throughout the end, getting close to the end of the season, that our offense is gonna go out there and look like we did against Tampa. I just that that is not my expectation for the game. So it on the defense, Okay, Dan mccrane start with you in Burry Church followed up. A lot of guys on this team, forty Niners team have played the Super Bowl,
They have Super Bowl experience. How much do you think that matters this year? I really don't think it matters that It doesn't matter that much to me. I think that this is early in the playoffs. This is one of the games where the matchup is going to be key, like how are you able to exploit matchups offensively and defensively. What we know about our team is we have a
great leader in Dak Prescott. We have a great leader, and Dan Quinn and Mike McCarthy both who have been two Super Bowls, one who has won the Super Bowl. So we're going to be ready to play against the team in San Francisco, even though they had gone to the Super Bowl and loss. I think that experience that we have on our coaching side is going to match up with the experience that we that they have in going to the Super Bowl and losing the game. Yeah.
I think, uh, it definitely provides a little bit positivity for the forty nine ers because I think being in that situation and especially against last week against the La Rams, they've been in situations where they're in holes and they got a battle or way back out of those, They're not gonna just okay, man, they got two touchdowns on us, let's just cave it, and we had a heck of a season. You know, it's it's over now. They're gonna continue to battle and they're gonna continue to scrap and
claw and the game will never be over. So to me, I think that Super Bowl experienced that long playoff run that they had a couple of day or a couple of years ago, that'll definitely prove dividends for them going into this game because they're gonna continue to crashing, claw and fight and do all that stuff. Now, is it gonna make them, you know, the victors? I don't think that. But they got experience on their side and it could help them in the long run. Full disclosure, Dallas Morning News.

But but I was totally wrong on on Garoppolo. They know they made it run, they made her and Jimmy G liked
to meet Jimmy G. Winn it. So why them winning the whole thing I had to win in the Vision Vision? No, I had this. I had them as a strong, a strong team, you know, twelve some wins. You know, he thought they was gonna be Green Bay out here. Yeah, okay, okay. I was a little wrong on that one. But Jimmy G like he's a solid quarterback. But two years ago they beat the Tar out of Green Bay and that was with Jimmy G. Not even I think he's going
through eight passes an NC Championship games. So, like I said, I'm sitting here thinking that all right, down year last year, they could come back. I was wrong in terms of just what I was expecting. I'll give him credit. You know, they made the playoffs, but they're not. They're they're not going to win the championship. Anything can happen, Anything can happen. I don't. I don't have that, not at all. I had that kind of faith they're gonna beat this week.
They had any because when they were down what I know. There was the most start, Mostart was out right mostart, and then it was the backup sermon from Ohio State. So they're down to theirs and they're still able to run the football. The way they can do it, Kid for North Texas is running well. I mean, look Shanahan and this goes back to his daddy. They always pull out some running backs I thought they pocket. I mean,
they just they know how to scare out running backs. Man, It's just one great thing they know how to do. Their scheme is also something that is that is amazing, the way that they're able to adjust zone read here, like when they had the RG three scheme, Like for you to be able to have your look at this dude, for you to be to have your quarterback come out of Baylor and be what RG three was and then all of a sudden create a system around him that
nobody could stop. Like nobody wanted to see that scheme when when they when they first brought it out with RG three in there. And then now you have San Francisco who's able to do that in like in multiple different situations though, right, if this person's hurt, then we'll put a receiver back there and he knows how to play running back, or we can we can find the most start that he gets hurt, and then I'm playing
fantasy football. And whoever, whoever the backup was for San Francisco, you wanted them on your team because you know that he had a chance to go for two hundred in the game. They think about the staff that came up with that plan, Mike Shanahan, his son, Kyle Sean McVeigh, and I believe Matt la Floor was also on that staff, and washing Dan all of it. Mcbad's the head coach, the Floor is the head coach, Kyle the head coach's dad,

Really, Yeah, if you look it up, they it was trademarked, and they couldn't get the trade mark for it. I guess I didn't continues. Okay, now you think about the pantheon of Washington nicknames. Here, the Capitals, it's not a great name. Business, the hockey team, the Bullets, it's not a great name. The Senators, they ran back the Senators two three times.
As a baseball that's not a great name. They I mean, you started thinking about name me the great the Nationals the baseball team, name me a great Washington nick Actually like the Wizards five, the Wizards, the Wizards fire. That's what I'm saying that. But that was that was after you you know, Bullets was the first name. That don't mean that the Washington football team should follow suit. The football is already now, it's already there. Now they need
to just keep just calling the Snyder. It's not a change the name. Bring them emails out all they need to be. You know, because he's he's kind of been trying to find it really all season, and he's really been kind of trying to find it all season, and he really only started trying to find it when you know, the game was live, you know, Tampa week, that's when we first got him out. You know, we kicked quite a bit actually in the preseason, but it was all just swinging really no operation. About every other day. We did quite a bit of swing and off off the time clock.
Nobody was out there. I don't think people realized that. But but as far as the operation and true game, you know, he really started trying to find it right about right about when the season started, and so that put us behind the eight ball. And I think he's still you know, I can speak for him. I think he's still trying to trying to find it, and he's been real close. And for a couple of weeks there
he was really dialed in. And then he said Kansas City game, he hit a couple of really good balls and then he just kind of lost it, and he's been kind of back and forth. It seemed like since the Kansas City game where he felt like that's when he found it. He don't think that's kind of scary to be going into a playoff game and you're still talking about and kick or trying to find it. If it was if it was rookie, maybe I think every
kicker's kind of lost it before and they find it again. Um. I think Tiger Woods a lot of times has lost it. You know. It's like it's you're a golfers like man, Once you get it down, why don't you just stay with that forever? But either they kind of lose it or they kind of tweak it. Um. So it's a good question. Yeah. Yeah, I mean think bought it. Tiger's a Hall of Famer and we gotta wish to go Greg. That's ithead many Yeah, man, I have nothing like serious
to say about that conversation. I think it's very you know, it's very telling how much he stuttered, how much he couldn't really put his finger on what was going on with his guy. Like, it's not like that that we that we watched it, or Fossil was watching the game and saying, I don't think he have it. The dude told you, man, I thought I had it,
but I really didn't have it. I'm not sure when I'm gonna get it back, But if you have faith in me going into the playoffs, I think I might be able to find it. This is that's crazy. That's because it's not just you, bro, like this is the entire team. If you ain't sure when they say field
goal because Mike McCarthy has to go out there. When when you get into a field goal range and you have to ask coach Fossil, hey, do you think, like what do you think we should do here, and then the special team coach said, yeah, yeah, he can, he can do it, and then you send him out. So when he asked you, now, you should in your mind you should say, you know what, man, he don't really have it. If we can get this thing up another
five teen yards, then I'm okay. But the way he's talking is like if I'm wrong, then I'm gonna be wrong, but I'm still gonna put him out there because I believe that he's gonna find it. Sometimes, like to put your hopes in dreams of your entire season on that type of thinking. It's strange and I'm really confused, Like, is everybody okay with that? Not us? Everybody? You heard the owner he said his struggles is absolutely alternate. But what I'm saying, but it is everybody okay with that?
So if I'm hearing that and I'm and I'm the head coach or I'm on, I'm like, come and let me talk to you real quickly. Got because as we're talking about this game playing, like I said, what do we need, like where do we need to get on the field in order for you to feel one hundred
percent confident that he can make the kick? Because because outside of that, we're gonna be going for it on fourth down, all right, if it's fourth and four, we're probably gonna go for versus is putting him out there because you just said you're not sure if you can do it or not, and you gotta look out the way he answered the question, it was like he said, I got confidence in him, But nothing that sounded, no sound that came out of his mouth seemed confident to me.
It was always, well, you know, because a lot of those well you know, Tiger, if we just you know, the great ones lose it and they come back. So we're we're just gonna you know, no, man, there's no confidence in what And answering that question about your guy, the guy that you brought in, and then he struggling. We all see it. We all see it struggling right now. And what Fossil's doing is basically like, look, I'm on this hill already already went the back from my guy enough.
I can't just I can't leave him now. But but we're in the playoffs. This isn't Week one, two three, This isn't the preseason where he did all these anonymous swinging in all this credit we're at the playoff point. If we go to a playoff game and we end up losing by two points because my boy hook him left, hooks one left, it's gonna be it should see. Let me tell you something. See this is what happens. Okay, So last year, you get a guy who brings this
guy in and does absolutely horrible. He don't get fired after the season. Don't get fired after the season because he's stuck with him. That's my friend. We go up through the same process again with zerline of like, listen, he's going to figure out what he really he was batting balls. He wanted to say it was off camera, nobody saw it. What the eye in the sky? Don't lie? Okay? If you if I have a kicker who is coming
off of surgery, I'm recording every kick. You know why because I want to see if anything's changed and tell him what it looks like now and what he needs to fix to get back on track. You tell me you were recording none of this, or at least having insurance policy has somebody Well, since you ain't, you know completely right, we're gonna get you on eye. For the first three weeks of the season, had this guy over
here kicking and you know, we'll see here lim. I saw him make a kick the next week after after we let him go. Was his name? Who one out? They made a kick afterwards. I mean, so, let this man sit down and get healthy. Send him over that with Britt Okay s over that brown Jim and when he ready to come back, didn't let him come back. I just don't why why did we force this guy's earline on, like on the field in that first game.
It was like, what if he's not feeling one hundred percent and they saw it and training camp he wasn't kicking, he would sayd he was hurt. Why do we like, we gotta have him week one? We need this guy? I don't see it. So we're doing that. We're on zoom and until I see everyone else, all the other media members there, and Jim starts trying to answer this, and I see Calvin Watkins and started to smile. You know when he says, I think I can speak for him and say he's he's still trying to find it,
and that's that's I had to ask him. Turn you a little late in the year to do that. Even the worst part he said he think he fund it in the Kansas what game? What week was Kansas City? I'm saying, if you talk about from September to November. The dude said he just started to find it in the Kansas City game. But what he thought he found, he didn't really find. So you tell me he wasn't even confident going out there from week one Kansas City. Yeah,
it was about three months he was trying to find it. Tigers, we need to try to find his play. Now I would be out there, come on, come on, and I love supposed to go. I don't have no problem with bos and no problem with a guy who's gonna stand up for his for his people and make sure that he's gonna try to
take care of him when he can. But when you're playing so bad to the dude come out there and have to sound like that, then you're just playing bad. You can't say what it is. YEA, call it what it is. So I also talked about how Zeroline had had struggled in twenty fifteen and he found it. what it should do. So if he's able to come in and do what we said, Hey, we're gonna figure out how to get our best players in best position to make plays, I think that will kind of elevate him above some of the other guys because you can show that he also can draw up these plays to
get people wide open. He can be creative, but then when it comes down to it, he can also get his guys who are making the big bucks, because teams want to know, hey, man, if I'm paying this receiver twenty million dollars a year, you're gonna get on the ball or should I just get a bunch of guys in here who can play because because you're just gonna run whatever play you want to and get this guy open. So I think it's a good opportunity for him to show that he can do something else other than what
he's been doing the season. And this makes me a little nervous man, because I don't want him to go out there thinking, all right, I gotta play Madden now, like this is my job interview. I gotta make sure I light him up. I gotta throw the ball all over the yard. I don't want to have that balance
approach like we've seen earlier in the season. That makes me a little bit nervous because if we go out there and we start chucking the ball around fifty to sixty times like we've seen in the past, we haven't won those games. We've won the games and been dominant on offense. When it's a balance approach, it may look boring.
