I said, who do you stop first? And how do you stop both of them? Travis Kelsey the tight end, you got Tyreek Hill, the white receiver. So I want to get you guys thoughts first, your former players, How would you come up with your scheme?

If you're Dan Quinn? And then I'll tell you what what what DeMarcus Where had to say about that number one thing that you have to stop? And this is this is kind of opposite of what I usually say because it is usually the run play, your regular run defense. This team has not been able to run, so you don't have is hilarious. I'm not sure. I'm not sure what I'm saying. You shouldn't have to put any extra resources to stopping the runk. What you have to stop is the big play of Tyree Hill. He has an

opportunity to blow the game open at any time. When you've seen games when he's had two hundred yards in the first half, because guys are getting beat over the top. That is not a way for you to start the game, all right, So make sure that you slow him down, Travis Kelsey, you can put somebody on him, get some make sure that they tackle him right after he catches,

and stop the yards after catching. You'll be okay. But Tyreek Hill is that one guy where you say, look, if you get this guy opportunity to get going, then you probably won't stop him for the rest of the game. Yeah, I'm with you on that one. You gotta have people over top. You gotta know where ten is at all times, because, like you said, he could, he could make so many things happen just like that. You know this team could

be down and out third and eighteen. You think you got him wrapped up, My homes extends to play a little bit and then the whole game momentum shifts. He's able to connect with Hill on the deep pass, so you gotta know where he is at all times. But with Kelsey, it's kind of hard man because he's the guy that moves the chains. He's the guys that get you know, third and five, third and eights, third and tens.

He finds some way, somehow to even beat double teams out there, and he moves the chains, and I think he keeps this offense going. You know, Hill is more of a one you know bad He got a big play there, all right, You hold him down for a little bit, he'll hit you another big play in the second half. But with Kelsey, you got to find a way to limit his action because he I think he gives my homes that extra extra juice, that extra confidence. All right, if all things break down, let me hit

Kelsey for this, Let me hit Helsey for that. So it's it's tough. I definitely what you wa You gotta gotta hold down Hill for the most part because he's the big, big threat guy, but you gotta have some resources to Kelsey as well, because he moves them chains

and keeps his offense going. This is what I'll say, you watch the Kansas City tape and watch the games where Tyreek Hill is held in check and not able to get those big plays, and you watch how much they struggle on offense versus when he's able to get behind the defenses and make those big plays and you see him running forty fifty yards. They are totally different

to you. And what I'm saying with the defense, they gotta be patient because I don't think you know, with Mahomes, with Eddie Reid or like man, we like, you know, big plays, big action. If you make them take a ten to twelve to fourteen play drive, they're gonna get They're gonna get bored out there, and eventually or what's his name, my home is gonna try to do something crazy and throw the ball and he might turn it over. So if you're patient enough, you have a chance out there.

But if you keep pressing to try to get a pick or try to get something going, that's when Hill gets over the top, right, That's when Kelsey sneaks bound some extra catchyards type stuff. So gotta be patient with his offense. For sure, we'll stop the run. I'm not saying, don't stop the run. Sorry, stop it. Stop at least you can't if you're gonna beat it with your arm. If but you can't let him out. Both out there.

So DeMarcus ware on board with both of you in terms of hey, you gotta go ahead and and and double hill just a must. And he said, the way to stop Kelsey it's like you gotta chip him. You got it, you got the chips. This guy cannot just let him run free. Said he doesn't like it. So that means your defensive end is gonna have to get out here. And then he said, and then to get away from it, he'll start wanting to go wider, splitting him out, yea, splitting him out and so but he

just said, just just disrupt him. What worries me, though, is that that was the plan that we that we discussed having against Kyle Pitts. And I watched the game and I was like, we're not doing it. We're not doing it. As soon as as soon as he detached from the line two three yards, it was like he was a receiver and we weren't getting our hands on him. And in that first drive you start to see like, man,

you can't just give him that free run. He had about So if you let that happen with Kelsey, if you don't put extra resources toward him, especially in those passive situations, you're gonna have a long day. Do you do you play man versus this? Yeah? I mean why not. Listen From what we've seen of our defense when dan Quinn is called man, for the most part, we've been

we've been able to hold up. Like I said, I'm still gonna go back to my man ab where I thought he got beat a man to man and that's the glaring one and it was two man of the top. But I haven't seen those times where our players have been getting beat and man to man now trade mount Diggs is different. He has eight picks, so he plays a little aggressive. Sometimes he gives up those big plays, but he also would turn around to get an interception.

But as far as our man and man coverage, I think we've held there pretty pretty much, and I think I think they can hold up, you know, man and man out there against these guys, I would definitely have a safety over top of over hill. But I feel like the rest of them, you know, they got Robinson, they got Kelsey out there, Pringle. I think we match up pretty well. You know, Jay Lou Brown has been

playing well. I think I put Brown on Hill and have a safety over top and then have the rest of my cover guys, you know, do what they do out there. But for the most part, I think we match up well. Man. The man zone scares me a little bit, just because if Pat Mahomes can buy time, like you know, last week we were able to get after Matt Ryan a little bit, you know, kudos to that.

But if he's able to extend the plays like he's been doing in the past, that scares me a little bit because that you've got a plaster for a long time and zone and that's when Kelsey finds a way to get open. That's when Hill finds a way to get behind the safeties. And this guy can make all the throws. Whose office of Lina's better? You think Atlanta's

or Kansas City's. I say Casey's okay, just by the way that Atlanta was getting bum rushing and we didn't even have our top you know, top two guys out there, So I gotta go KC with that one. You know, dan Quinn manufacturing their pressure man, he'll find a way. Man there all strong, come from the end to the right ete maybe how did he get over there? And this is this is one of those games. You you just where I was gonna go next? Can they get home with the four? You know? Can the Cowboys get

home with just their guys? If they can, that would be huge as if you can do that? Man, what what what a what a struggle this could be for Kansas City. And look, and this is just me. I don't think Gus Bradley is good anymore as far as defensive coordinator. He went out there and said, you know, we do what we do. Oh, okay, so you're gonna face the Chiefs. It's what we're gonna do. You know what they did. They shredded you. So dan Quinn is not going to be stuck in Gus Bradley's own. Okay,

this is what we're gonna do. No, you better have something. Okay you just can't. Hey, we're gonna do what we do. No, you're gonna get back sayre like thank you. So I think dan Quinn is gonna come out there and have something for these guys. And I just I think the guy was gonna within the game. Yeah, do we have the safeties in European. This is the challenge you one I would think to go face Patrick Mahomes and you got Tyreek, you got this the air in their house, and this is the opportunity for you to I mean, as nice as the win was for the Cowboys last week, this is Kansas City, this is AFC champions,

this is Patrick Mahomes. I'm not gonna lie to you that the win against the Raiders did not change what I thought two weeks ago, three weeks ago, when I was looking at the schedule and saying, oh, Kansas City is not who we thought they were. As far as when you looked at it at the beginning of the season, you said, Okay, this is a game where you got to circle and say we got to find out how we're playing to say, if we're gonna win to lose.

Two weeks ago, I was like, if we played the way we're supposed to play, we're gonna win, all right. Last week when I saw the Raiders play, we thought they had off week like we did. Turned out not to be true. They came in the next week they did the exact same thing. They were the same Raiders team that they were the week before. So I don't think that Kansas City has turned the corner like that.

They have not established the run game yet. Their defense did play better last week, but their defense hasn't played that well this season, and they still have Tyreek Hill. If you play two men on and stop him that you don't have those same issues. So the Great, the Great bra the legend right there, and may't got your own booth, jail man, you're a legend right there. I'm just I'm not. I don't think that win has changed anything for me. I still think our defense is gonna

go out here and they're gonna perform well. And I don't think they don't make you nervous at all. I don't think they can stop us on offensive. We don't shoot ourselves in the foot. They will be playing from behind, and I think that's when we played best. But we

can't let happen defensively. One, we gotta be patient, Like we talked about it earlier, We gotta be patient, but we can't let their third and fourth receivers go off like you know, if we contain Hill and we contain Kelsey for the most part, we can't let Pringle go out there and do what he did last week. He had a couple of touchdown catches. We can't let Robinson

go off like that. So if we're able to contain the two those guys that have had those matchups one on one with the Pringles and the Robinsons of the world, they're gonna have to stand up because we know that they can't come alive. You know, my homes has the

ability to make these guys look spectacular out there. So to me, if we can handle you know, the main two, the one the one on one matchups, we gotta stay out and say this, Okay, those those guys, those because because the other guys are Jordan Lewis and Anthony Brown, yea, they gonaving hell of the seasons. Right. We saw last week was all three of these guys get picked, all three of them. I'm saying, hey, be the gout of Like these these dudes are playing at a very high level.

So I'm not I'm not. They should be okay against the other guys if that's the way they If we played double team on both of those Kelsey and Tyreek Hill, we should hold up just fine. I just hope they don't let Kurts go one on one out there like no nothing against him on one. Know what you know, in some in some situations, he's gonna have to be gone. When you when you those gotta having situations, I don't think, no, don't. If you see it in the first quarter, you won't

see it in the secause they're gonna split him out. Yeah, they ain't gonna have him attached to the core so he can get bumped at the line of criminage, So he gonna be attached out. Trayvon Digs will be on him just like we saw got Oh. Okay, listen, Trayvon Diggs traveled with pits sometimes he did when he was attached. And then when you see Jordan Lewis, you know, I guess I don't know if it was scheme of how Jordan Lewis ended up on cowpits. I'm almost sure that

it didn't. It wasn't like, hey, you go get cowpits this time. They probably schemed it to happen. Happened that way. But I think you'll see a lot of trade. I was like Lewis on Kelsey too, though, because because Lewis is scrappy. Man. Look how he's changed what I like. Remember, you know that small guy, not the height it man.
