pretty good? Tasty cake. You know. I figured it is, you know, and I figured I would. I'm gonna do a little taste test for you. Heck yeah, let me know our bet. Yeah, they don't last that long either, it's not it's not known parishment. Okay, you got six days, so this would be right on

when they go off and everybody boom up twittering. Right now, I know what you're seeing, bro, I know what you see because you know the last game last year and we played against Philly. Yeah, that's he got that tasted his mind. Man, Yes, so hack Man Cowboys swept them last year, right, yeah, beat them back to them? Yeah, former players, how much does that stay into your head? The last year they went whoops upside your head swept.

Now they come to your building, youth first place. Oh listen, if I don't know if if I'm the one they got whooped on, I remember that vividly. Oh yeah, I remember it vividly because when the sweep are running up the score on you, there are some players in the game where you think that they when you understand that they're trying to run the score up on you, right then there's not a gentleman's game where they're gonna take a knee with the time running out now, Dak Prescott out,

they're trying to break records on the squad. Everybody's trying to pad, trying to pad their stats on the squad. Pheel, we ain't forgot about that. That's about the fact. That might be the reason Philly is five and old right now, because they still got that taste in their mouth. You know when your coach at the end of the game

say they remember this feeling, Man, remember this feeling. They ain't forgot it, all right, and so you know that they're gonna be ready for the Cowboys when we come to Philly this Sunday night, and the Cowboys gotta be ready to match that energy. They gotta be ready to take that first blow, right because you know it's coming. You know it's coming, but it's gonna weather. And then

you got to figure out who you are after that. Yeah, without a doubt, you're gonna you're gonna understand that because maybe we were twenty fifteen, You remember twenty there were four or twelve everybody whooping up on us Washington, you know, Philly, New York, everybody taking their whoops at as we was down a couple of players so we remember that, and then come in twenty sixteen, we we held no punches with any team out there. We might have been up

twenty one, we're still racking the score. Starters is in Washington, we went to washing what's the FedEx Field or whatever. We went up there and stomped the mudholding them boys, and they kept stomping them. And then when they came to Dollas, we did the same thing. So you're gonna remember each and every one of those, especially the one that people just keep racking the score up on. You know, the game's over, you know you could just run the

clock out, but instead they're still throwing touchdown passes. So I'm sure Philadelphia will remember that. But you know, we'll see if if the Cowboys can, we'll stand that first punch. This is our hated rival and Tuesday guys, and so I'm gonna try and make it through the rest of the week without blowing a casket. And I know what you're doing. This is an attempt right now to get

me over hype. Come right down, and I'm gonna tell you, no matter what they remember this is a divisional opponent and it should be tough even when the commanders are not winning, we expect for them to come in and give us a good, good effort, right even the Giants. The Giants are supposed to give us good effort. But Thursday night prime time game, undefeated five and old Philadelphia Eagles versus to form one Dallas Cowboys with the defense playing the way it is, Man, the hype machine is

just turning at an all time pace right now. And so if they remember the bud whipping that they got last year, I hope they kept it with them. I hope they remember it. They're playing it back over and over in Syrianna's wearing that beat Dallas T shirt that the add on last year. All of that, you know, because I remember also going in there with being the Nucci. Yeah,

remember going in and not being in our favor. So there have been a lot of times with with Philadelphia where they're in our way and they're games that we can win and get into the playoffs, and they just happened to be there. I mean, So no matter what, man, you don't need no hype for this tho. This is this is the game where we know they hate hate us and we hate them. It's playing and simple, Okay, so your tone is a little different today. So I

appreciate you. I appreciate relax right now. When you when you bring the punishment in front of his face, okay, when you bring the taste and canke in front of his face, his tone turned out a little. It's Tuesday, No man, Hey, listen, I know I got to make it to front of you. Sure you want to keep it and not just anytime I'm trying to give them. Try We don't chance yesterday's price. It's not today's price. So if you are in the offensive room this week,

dan Quinn. But I'm thinking, if I'm going to beat Philadelphia, you do it by making Jalen Hurts stay in the pocket, beat me from the pocket, and stop the running thoughts. Yeah, I mean, I think that's number two. I think number one is you gotta stop the rushing attack. You gotta stop what you clude Hurt. Yeah, you gotta. You gotta stop Jalen Hurt's ability to run extend plays. So keep in the pocket. But also you gotta nullify the rest of the running game to put it all on his shoulders.

If you don't, and they have the opportunity to have their entire running game at their disposal. They got the ability to have those big time receivers that they got out there being able to run all over the field, and he got time the extent places because you one thing you know about the defensive back. You can't cover forever. No, it don't matter how good you are, you can't take the guy around the field for seven eight seconds. They're

eventually going to get open. So our first thing is stop the run, so then you can get to that point where we can let this d line loose and put pressure on Jalen Hurts. Not sure the exact stats, but his percentage of completing passes against pressure very low, very low, no pressure very high, very high. Yeah. To me, this is gonna come down defensively to two things. Man. You gotta have great ode discipline when you're going against a team like the Eagles, because they run that rpo

better than anybody I've seen in the league. So when you talk about eye discipline, it's gonna come down to the linebackers primarily because they're gonna be the guys that are going to be in that run fit when Hurts is going to that you know, pull the ball out or let the running back take it, and it can get real sticky because if you got bad eye discipline, they can pull that thing out, pass it right over your head, or they can let the running back take

it up the field. So to me, it's gonna be of the utmost importance for vanderash bar Parsons, whoever's on that second level. You gotta have great ade discipline out there and don't get tricked because last thing we need his hero ball out there. If you're on a Dallas Cowboys defense, and when I talk about hero ball is if you're in the gaps, ain't a gap. You know, trust your teammates that they're gonna be able to do

the same thing. Because if you got guys out there thinking that they have to make each and every play out there, you're nine times at the ten. That's how you're gonna get a compromise defense, and those long runs are gonna happen. So you gotta be disciplined, gotta have great ass support, and they gotta keep that man in the pocket. Because we've seen what Daniel Jones can do to this defense, and he was running a little bit ropshot over us when we played up in New York,

and this guy hurts. I think his legs are, you know, ten times better than what what Dale. Maybe not ten because Dan Jone's a little snaky athletics, but he's definitely a little bit more athletic than Daniel Jones. So you gotta keep this man in the pocket, and you gotta have great eyes because if those ays failure, man, that Eagles team can take off. One of my great one of the great buried Church isn't see a lot, see a little. Oh yeah, see a little, see a little,

You'll see a lot. You'll see you a lot. So y's when you talk about trust in your eyes. And if I'm dan Quinn, if I could be in the mind of Dan Quinn right now, I want to dictate to Jalen Hurst. He's a mobile quarterback. I want if you're gonna run, I want to tell you which way you're gonna run. You know, I want to bring blitzes. And from what you said this, we all know that when he has a blitz in his face, he tends to make mistakes. He tends to get a little bit skittish,

and he goes back to what he knows. And that's the thing that really has me more positive about this game on the Cowboys side is that I know that he's gonna be pressured, and the things that they like to do to get him in rhythm is those little short dincon dunk screenplays and stuff like that. And the one blaring thing about this team is keeping it all

the way real. And this is me being objective. Okay, all right, it's me being objective about So the one thing about the one thing about the Eagles is that's that's team speed. You know, these guys are fast and their big playability. If you don't watch him dog, they can get chunk plays on you in immediately, you know, right, Um. But that's the other part that I think nullifies that. There's a lot of different things that you match up

head the head that ends up getting nullified. Team speed they have on their side we have on our defense. I think you'll agree. And so, uh, it's gonna actually just come down to the way that we dictate the pace to Jalen Hurts gonna We're gonna have to force those bad decisions, force him to try and not trust his eyes, force him to try and make tight throws right now when he's throwing the ball, when he gets

out on those naked boots. He's on the move by himself, and that's where he wants to be, throwing into an empty space, not to where someone is. And he threw an interception last week because he didn't trust his eyes and what he was saying. Then there was a man sitting right underneath. And that's where I think Dan Quinn can fool a quarterback like this sometimes. Man. I just I just feel like and a certain if it's if this is a heavyweight fight or just a fight in general.

Once you start getting leaned on and punched, you turn back into who you are. These first five games have been him being his best new self, right, But I think if he get punched hard enough, he gonna turn back into who he is and and that that guy forgets his fundamentals, puts the ball down and start trying to be Hercules and he'll play her hero ball and that's where we beat him by twenty. What a good key beat about Twitter. You left that with a little

bit though, Yeah, bread cross ahead. What's gonna be huge, though, is if then Quinn and they've done it before when they played against the Bengals, if they can get pressure with just the front four, if they can get pressure with just those you know, defensive ends and defensive tackles and force the you know, Dalen Hursts to really be accurate, because that means if you can get pressure with just four the rest of you guys second level secondary, they

can make that whole thing mucky back there. It's gonna be hard. You gotta be a real pinpoint passer, which I'm not sure Jalen Hurts is right now, if you can be a real pinpoint forced him to be a pinpoint passer out there, I think you got the advantage. But to me, if you start blissing that guy and he gets out and escapes, all backs are turned to him, he has an opportunity to take off. You know, you know who's gonna have, you know, big games. I think

you know your guy. You know you weren't sure about Anthony bar you know the vander Ration we weren't sure about last year. Quietly been having really good seasons, and I think it's I think a lot of a lot of the onus is gonna be on them, especially if you got their rush four mentality. Yeah, those dudes have to make some play spy on it. Yeah, and they and They've been showing that they can make the play

so far this season. So I'm gonna give them their flowers now before they get before they run into this bus off. But did you see, I don't know, Daniel Jones was doing that thing getting better about curse and and Hooker in terms of, you know, putting somebody out there to concentrate on Jalen Hurts because he wants to run. Um, how do you go about that? I don't I don't know if I'm a fan of that, because if you got that guy in the box, he's gonna have to

deal with the rushing attack as well. Right, So, if you got him spying on that linebacker level in the Philadelphia Eagles, see what you're trying to do with him, They're gonna send a lineman up to a second level and say, all right, take that man out. We're gonna run right behind that offensive lineman. At least with you know, Lvee and Barr. You got bigger men in there that can kind of handle those offensive linemen and get off blocks.

But if you got a little or dB in there, they're quick and fast, but they're more than likely trying to avoid that block and when you avoid the block, it opens up a whole nother hole. So to me, I liked it. I like the scheme. Maybe on third and longs when you know it has to be a passing down, but first and second down, I would not put those safeties in that and that running run pass. But you sto you took it that that was it. Yeah, third down, I'm okay with it. Their running game is

totally different on first and second down. It's not necessarily Jalen Hurt scrambling too, where a spid is going to really be able to take over the game and stop the guy. It's you gotta read your keys and know if he's handed off to the running back, you gotta read the run scheme, if he's going left or right. You have to be able to do that, and I think linebackers are more fit for that responsibility on first and second and then maybe a curse or hooker down

there on third down. But also one of the things that you know, for a quarterback that has limited arm ability or reading a defensibility, he likes to go with what's right in front of him. And Dallas Goddard has been a big weapon for us, and that's why I believe curse his responsibility and past protection is going to being pivotal because he's pretty much singled up with tight Ends and our base Nickel. Right, So, I mean I think that that plays a big part of it. But

again I don't want him. I just know he has a larger role to play other than just being closer to a box. Slap my man. We saw the Cowboys only had ten first downs in that game against the Rams on the road to win a game in National Football League ten first downs in today's NFL is rare gonna need a couple more this week. So how do we view this disparity between the third down conversions of these two football teams minus Dak Prescott. That's how I view it, and I view it that if Dak Prescott doesn't play, you may see a similar

type of game. And luckily for us, we were up, so you don't necessarily need to have those additional first downs to keep drives moving to possibly score. Now that it's flipped how we talked about last week, where if you're down right, you're down by seven, you're down by ten, you need to figure out how to get some first downs. But I think the game plan changes a little bit and then maybe you'll be able to see Rush cookof

hey man, you've been asking for it, I want. Yeah, it's gonna be there, and hopefully he got the ingredients to do it. You talked about it. We've talked about it at length about this running game and what the running game has done for Cooper Rush and keeping him off of turnovers in in bad situations. But at certain points, especially when you talk about matching up these two teams where we're strong, they're strongest. They have a front line as well, So I think that offensively we're going to

be running into a crowded box. Yeah, okay, And phillis defense for for years with Fletcher Cox, Jordan Davis. Those are some big old guys up there that's gonna be able to move the crowd. Are the way that we've relied on. Those tough yards from Zeke is going to be very important in a game like this, But also Cooper Russia is going to have to make some key throws and we can't have the drops like we did before.

But what I love so much about what Cooper Russia is doing is he's not turning the ball over, and we always have a chance if he's not turning the ball over. So continuing with that formula. If Kellen Moore can stay with that and then and Mike McCarthy can convince him to stay with that formula, I think our offense can carry us to that point. And here's the other thing about my defense that I really love so much. We talked about not being able to get turnovers the

way that we did last year. I don't think anybody came into the season thinking that we would get those kinds of turnovers. But these strip sack fumbles, I think they count just like that. Those sacks, they count just like that. The three and outs count just like that.

So if we get Filly in a situation like Nui was just talking about them being there forty three percent on third down and we can force them three and outs, I look at that just like a turnover because that puts our offense back out on the field and it gives us an opportunity to get points without a doubt. I think offensively, this comes down to winning first and second down. We talk about the Cowboys offense. You gotta make it manageable, all right, Cooper rush to me easy.

He's a game manager, all right. At its finest, he is a game manager. Bus driver. So when you sit there and have him and those you know, third and five, third and three's, third and twos like that, he can manage that. We can get some first downs doing that. But when you get him into those longer distances I'm talking about third and seven plus, that's when it comes a little tricky out there. And we've seen a little bit of example of that when we played against the

Commanders a couple of weeks. There was a couple of situations where it was third and seven, third and ten and we had to put it in Cooper Russia's arm. Now, thankfully there was penalties on the situations, but he when he made those decisions, he's threw two interceptions, one of the triple covers, one of the double covers, and that's

what we do not want to see. So I think the key offensively for the Dallas Cowboys is it it got to win first and second down, and to do that, you know, I just don't think you take a lot of risks. You know, you may lean on the run game, and if it's not the run game, you use an extension of the run game, which is a pop up

past the CD or pop up passing or Brown. Let him get a couple of positive yards out there, but if you lose yards on first and second down, it becomes a sticky situation because you're putting the ball in the arm of your quarterback. And I'm not too comfortable with that. You know, you know what, I'm gonna pause this right here just so I can give Killing more a little bit more credit today. Alight, his third and short play calling game has gotten a lot better over

the last few weeks. Give him that. I'm talking about mixing it up, running it on third and short. The play that Noah Brown gets held on on third and short, Yeah, where we say he might maybe should have run that is a hell of a play. That's gonna be wide open if they don't grab the guy the pastor Michael Gallup wide open. He dropped like he's calling plays that fits the type of game plan that we have, where you run it, you're getting third and short and then

you allow Cooper Rust to make those throws. And he's he's been even calling the plays. Dogs. He shout out to you, killing, man, shout out. I was walking right behind them and I was like, man, should I be like, what's up? Killing? But he you know, I know, I'm gonna let that ride. So I'm gonna say, hey, let's up, Kelly, you're doing You're doing a hell of a job on third down over the last few weeks. Many keep it up, keep it up. So let's dive in the fourth down.

And a trend that we need to start to look at is last year's outstanding Pro Bowl puncher Brian Anger has not had a Pro Bowl season so far. And both defenses right now are top ten defenses. So I'm expecting a slug fest. And if you get those thirs downs, you can't convert your setting out the punt team, he's got to flip the field on the road, flip the field, make them go seventy five eighty yards. Anger's got to be better. I think he does, man, and I think

he will. I think he will come because I mean, you're right, a couple of these past couple of weeks, he shanked a couple and he's hood, he's done some uh what they used to call that, what the decummulaies to call that? When you kick it in the middle of the field, is it a high trees high trees kick? Because when you're kick it in the middle of the field that gives a return or a two way go. You got guys flying down there and they're able to

set up the return easily. So I think Anger gets back into his you know, coughing cornerways, and we've got to find a way. We're not able to convert on third down. Like you said, Nui, We're gonna have to find a way to pin them deep and make Jalen Hurts go the long way about it. And if they're able to do that with the defense that Dan Quinn possesses, I think it will be extremely hard for the Eagles to put up points that way, and it might be

a slug fest that way. But we're definitely gonna need Anger and his ability to coughing quarnities punts to have any type of success out here against the Eagles. He's been out defense his best friend for a very long time, and he's giving these guys feel, you know, a chance on defense, and I think the Commander's game when he shanked the punt, I don't know, but I was I was like, what just happened because we hadn't seen him do that. And then he comes right back and doubles

down on the against the Rams. But that just shows you how good our defense is. They get out there, they handle it. They don't let them, you know, get but three points out of it. But still you can't you can't continue to test fate in situations like that and flipping it around the other side, or even going back to the Rams fake punt against us on the fifteen yards I mean speaking of your guy, yeah, I mean,

what a gamble by them. And Fossil has not done anything crazy like that, And I was like, oh, man Polk, the bear man, he gona hey, he gonna make him go and do something. That's McVay paying the back. You know, when they when they when they moved on from him, apparently the word was uh bones called one. It didn't tell me gay, So you know, you know what's crazy though they were they were prepared for that, for that fake punt on that play. If you look at CJ.

Good when he had his eyes turned in looking back to make sure that the ball was gonna be punted, and the guy who stepped up and had the PP was lined up on a line of scrimmage and on the step he takes off to get his eyes back to the PP. But he was getting blocked pretty much by the snapper like they were waiting for that, So they just got out schemed on that play. So you know, you just know that Bones is ready to get his revenge, even if it's not on Joe d He's ready to

get that. But I think, just to talk about what Church was speaking on, like a lot of people think that punters, what happens is you want the punter to kick it as far as he can, no matter where is that, just kick it as far as he can.

And the reason why you want those cough and corner punts is because it gives the guys who are covering an opportunity to cut off the wide side of the field because a lot of times what you see is on those big returns, the returner goes he kept on one side of the field, they set up a wall, he runs all the way across the other side of the field, and then that thing gives you an ability

to h to score a touchdown. So coffin corner punts are huge cuts off the wait side of the field and it comes this is down so the rest of the punt team can get down there and make that make that tackle. Got to win that area you can. You have to win the special team's battle on the road. You just have to. It's it's it's and they've they've done it. Fantastic job this year of winning that battle. But they got to take care of that phase. So if your defense continues to play the way it has,

you win that phase. You win special teams all you ask for in the road. You guys are playing, give it to us in the fourth quarter. Give us a shot in the fourth quarter and see where you can go. And this team and Cooper Rush, if he plays, has shown you you give him opportunity to the fourth quarter, he'll go and convert it no matter what's happening in the game. If the fourth quarter when you need it, he's showing you he can go down there and get

it done. And to me, that's your hope on on the rolled in a game like this division game, you're an underdog. De beat him twice last year. Get this thing in the fourth quarter and go ahead. And oh, by the way, I think the Cowboys can out coach Philadelphia as well. I'll get you that one. I'll definitely get you that one. And you know I want to see happens as far as special teams wise, let's send something up for Kamante Turpin. All right. I mean he's done a pretty good job so far. He just yet

to break one. I see. This may be, you know, one of those opportunities where he can at least get us in good field position. And we've known if the Cowboys are in good field position, more than likely they'll pay it off. Well, you know how that's counting. You know how that's counted. Okay, when you ont pump, every

teen yards you get is the first down for the offense. Right, So when you're looking at guys and they're not scoring touchdowns, but they got a teen yard return here, a ten yard return, and that's two first downs for the offense that they now don't have to go go get. So that's what I want to see from Turpin. All right,
