Britt Laura. We're Grace by TV Royalty. Now you may know her from her time on Studio ten. She launched that show they're celebrating ten bloody years on air. Also now as the anchor of the project on Channel ten. It is the one and only Sarah Harris. Welcome to the show. Sarah.

Speaker 2

Hello, What an intro from a trio of hotties.

Speaker 3

Oh hello, Hello, you really are TV Royalty though, I mean, we have both done the project at some stage, and I remember walking on the first time I saw you in real life, I was like, Holy moly, you were like a real life angel, Like you're really.

Speaker 4

Second to the pickup if you want to be picked up, that's for sure.

Speaker 2

Well look, it's nice to be hit on girls. It hasn't happened for a very long time. Just thanks for that, Sarah.

Speaker 4

You recently had your interview in Stellar magazine and it was such a beautiful read, not just about what you're doing in your career, but about what is happening in your family life and in your home life, because from the outset, you are juggling so many things. At the moment, you are five foo back and forth between Sydney and Melbourne doing the project. You've got your kids, how are you managing to juggle at all?

Speaker 2

Oh many many dropped balls, let me tell you. Yeah, it's funny being on the front cover of Cellar magazine in that bright yellow dress. It's like they say, amazing colors as well amazing job the Stellar the Stellar crew. Look, I think I do. I think about it too deeply. I do get overwhelmed because there are so many bits in my life that have to go right for the next bit to go right, if you know what I mean.

Like even on a Monday morning, for example, you know, I get the kids off to school, drop them off to two different schools, race home, drop the car off, race to the airport, race to Melbourne, race into the office, and then it's like full show time. But you know, you just have to kind of I remember one of my shrinks telling me that the only way to eat an Ellison is one at a time, and that is you can only you can only kind of attack it once more bide at a time. So that's kind of

what I do. And I try to keep the rest of my life pretty simple and pretty small as well. Yeah, so I just know that I've got a triage, my kids, my job, and you know I get to sleep on the plane.

Speaker 4

Sarah, I did want to ask you.

Speaker 1

I had to have a little chuckle.

Speaker 3

I saw the rumors that you were dating Dr Chris Brown bond Ivet.

Speaker 1

I had to have a.

Speaker 3

Laugh because, oh no, this is what's funny because I also used to quote unquote date doctor Chris Brown. I think every for every single single woman in Australia has at some point dated.

Speaker 2

Doctor Chris Brown. Apparently according to the media. Jackie. Yeah Jackie. Oh I think was Jackie as well. Yeah, look, if you're give it be linked to anyone, it's a pretty impressive person to be linked to, right, yeah it is. I called my manager and I was like, where this rumor from, Robles, because I was just like, it's not though, is it? Well no, but like it's not true. I think I think the media kind of goes, well, there's

a good looking fellow, let's beare him off. And oh there's a single chick, she's in close proximity, let's pare them off. But I just see, I'm older than all of you guys. I've got a good ten years on you. So and you just realize that once you have your kids and you kind of a bit further down the track. It's like, I don't know, I just don't have the time.

Speaker 3

Believe just before you go on, you've only got about five years on a Sarah, I don't think we're.

Speaker 1

As young as Actually I do want to know you being a journalist, being a presenter on the project, Sarah, how do you. I don't know what it is about that show, but people love to hate on the project. Like whenever you read a headline about the project, it's it's who's fighting, or what's going on in the ratings

or who's this, Who's that. It must be hard to work on a show, and like you said, it is taxing on you and flying back and forth with you with your two boys, Like do you have to just not read the headlines at the end of the show every day?

Speaker 2

Totally? And you know, it's funny. When I started on the show Wali who is I'd always kind of admired him from Afar, but I didn't know the guy, even though we worked at the same network. I only kind of got to know him last year when we did some publicity stuff and I went, this is a very decent dude. And he just gave me the best advice. And I think because he is a civilian who came to television, like he's a lawyer and an academic and

then came to TV later in life. He's like, just don't read the articles, Like I actually haven't read the stella yet. I get really anxious about it, and I'm just like, oh, what if I said I'm stupid. I'll just wait for the I wait for the terrible headline to come out. But he's like, don't read the good stuff, don't read the bad stuff. Definitely don't read the comments.

And it's something that I used to do a lot when I started out because it felt like that's how I would get feedback because I didn't trust myself to know if I'd done a good job or not, so I'd kind of try to find valid in the words of strangers and that never ends. Well, let me tell you so, Yeah, I think you just have to kind of switch off from that and understand it's a game.

Speaker 1

Yeah it's hard, but you know, and you do it looking so hot. I mean, if you want to see the hottest yellow banana lully in human form, mid ye, see, there you go. I had a compliment always and you taught me that. End an interview with a compliment, Sarah, you taught me that back in Sarah Harris presenting school all those years ago Instellar Magazine. If you want to I was out this week and go a read. Also tonight on The Projects six point thirty of course on

Channel ten and ten play Sarah Harris. A pleasure is always always welcome on the pickup.

Speaker 2

Oh, you guys are the best. Always love jumping on the pickup with you guys.

Speaker 4

Thanks Sarah, Sarah
